DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW HAS FALLEN OFF TRACK AND DOES NOT CLOSE AS IT SHOULD. FURTHER, WHEN YOU REMOVE YOUR FINGER FROM THE AUTOMATIC "UP" BUTTON, THE WINDOW WILL AUTOMATICALLY ROLL DOWN AFTER RELEASING THE BUTTON (AS IF IT HAS A LIFE OF IT'S OWN). THIS IS A WINDOW MOTOR OR ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING OR WHEN IT IS STATIONARY ... CITY OR HIGHWAY.
THE DRIVER SEAT OF MY CAR UNEXPECTEDLY DETACHED FROM SEAT MOUNT DURING NORMAL USE, THE DRIVER SEAT FELL BACKWARD ON TO THE BACK SEAT, LEAVING MY CAR NON-FUNCTIONAL. FOR SAFETY REASONS, I HAD MY CAR TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP, A DISTANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES. I WAS PLEASED THAT THE SERVICE REP MADE AN EFFORT TO CHECK TO SEE IF THERE WERE OTHER SIMILAR REPAIRS REPORTED. HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE NONE FOUND. HOWEVER, LATER I FOUND OUT THAT THERE WERE FORTY-NINE OTHER CONSUMER COMPLAINTS MADE TO YOUR OFFICE, NHTSA, REGARDING THE DRIVER SEAT IN THIS SAME MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR MAZDA. I HOPE THAT THE OFFICE OF DEFECTS INVESTIGATION (ODI) CONSIDERS OPENING AN INVESTIGATION TO REMEDY THE DEFECT IN THIS GROUP OF VEHICLE, AND, THE UNREASONABLE SAFETY RISK IT HAS ON PUBLIC SAFETY.
DRIVER SEAT FLIPS BACKWARDS - CANNOT DRIVE THE VEHICLE.
MY CAR HAS HAD RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE HOOD FOR A FEW MONTHS NOW AND TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND THEY SAID IT IS COMMON FOR THIS MODEL TO HAVE A MOTOR MOUNT ISSUE.. BUT NOT TO FIX IT YET BECAUSE IT IS JUST NOW STARTING AND IT WILL BE FINE FOR A 6 MONTHS OR SO?!?!? SERIOUSLY ...
DRIVERS SEAT BROKE LOOSE. WAS AT A STOP LIGHT. WHEN I STARTED MY LEFT TURN THE SEAT SUDDENLY ROCKED BACK AND THEN SLAMMED FORWARD. I ALMOST LOST CONTROL AS MY FOOT HAD COME OFF THE GAS PEDAL DURING THE ROCK BACK AND THEN STEPPED BACK ON IT AS I WAS THROWN FORWARD FORWARD. THE CAR HAS ALWAYS HAD A CLICKING NOISE COMING FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT.
MY DRIVER SIDEHEADLIGHT IS OUT AGAIN. I WENT TO THE DEALER LAST MONTH WITH NO HEADLIGHT AND CONDENSATION INSIDE THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING. PAID $750 FOR THEM TO REPLACE THE UNIT. ITS BARELY A MONTH LATER AND THE SAME LIGHT IS OUT AGAIN AFTER IT RAINED TWO DAYS BEFORE. ITS AGAIN FULL OF CONDENSATION. THE HEADLIGHT HOUSING IS FAULTY AS IT ALLOWS WATER TO COME INSIDE AND SHORT OUT HID BULBS AND UNIT.
STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP WHILE DRIVING. CANNOT MANEUVER. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY.
PART OF THE METAL MOUNTING THAT HOLDS THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRONT LEFT SIDE IN PLACE BROKE, AND NOW THE SEAT ROCKS. THIS HAPPENED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. THE SEAT IS NOW SECURED AT THREE POINTS RATHER THAN 4, AND I'M CONCERNED ABOUT THE STRENGTH OF THE OTHER FRONT MOUNTING POINT. SEEMS LIKE A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY COMPLAINT, AND A QUICK CHECK ONLINE INDICATES THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD, KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE 2010 MAZDA 3.
I WAS DRIVING WITH FRIENDS IN THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY TO GET SOME DINNER. 70 IS OUR SPEED LIMIT. ALL OF SUDDEN I HEARD A SNAP UNDER ME AND MY BODY SHIFTED. I SIT PRETTY UP RIGHT SO I FELT MOVING BACK AT LEAST TWO INCHES AND MY HAND SHIFT POSITION AS WELL WHICH ALMOST CAUSE A ACCIDENT. I CALL THE DEALER TODAY, "YOU'RE NOT UNDER WARRANTY, SORRY" REALLY? I ALMOST DIE IN A CAR YOU GUYS SELL ME AND I GET A SORRY? IT WAS EITHER GET IT FIX OR PLAY WHEN THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEAT BRACKET IS GOING TO SNAP.
[I BOUGHT MY CAR USED, AND IT CAME WITH THE TPMS LIGHT ON. I WAS TOLD IT WAS BECAUSE THE PASSENGER REAR SENSOR WASN'T TRANSMITTING. I CHECK MY TIRE PRESSURE OFTEN, AND IGNORE THE TPMS LIGHT BECAUSE THOSE SENSORS ARE EXPENSIVE! MORE ON THIS LATER.] AS I WAS ACCELERATING FROM A STOP LIGHT A FEW WEEKS AGO, I REALIZED I WAS GETTING A FLAT TIRE ON THE DRIVER FRONT. I PULLED OVER AND, AS I WAS TAKING THE LUG NUTS OFF, NOTICED THE VALVE STEM HAD DISAPPEARED. AFTER I GOT TO THE TIRE SHOP AND THEY WERE INSPECTING THE TIRE, THE TECH INFORMED ME THE FLAT WAS BECAUSE THE ENTIRE VALVE HAD FALLEN OUT OF THE TIRE! THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THE PASSENGER REAR TIRE DID NOT HAVE A FAULTY SENSOR; THE VALVE HAD BEEN REPLACED (BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER) WITH A NON-SENSOR VALVE. I FOUND IT STRANGE THAT NOW TWO TIRE VALVES HAD BEEN REPLACED ON MY CAR. WHEN I RESEARCHED THIS ONLINE, I DISCOVERED MY MODEL YEAR HAS SEVERAL COMPLAINTS OF THE VALVES BREAKING OR FALLING OUT! AND NOW MY DRIVER REAR TIRE IS LOSING AIR, SO I SUSPECT THAT VALVE NEEDS REPLACED, AS WELL. I CONTACTED MAZDA AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND THEIR EMAIL RESPONSE INCLUDED NO MENTION AT ALL OF THE TIRE VALVES - THE ENTIRE POINT OF MY CONTACTING THEM. I FOUND OTHER OWNERS ONLINE STATING MAZDA IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM, BUT REFUSES TO ISSUE A RECALL. AT THIS POINT, I HAVE ONE REPLACED VALVE WITHOUT A SENSOR (COURTESY OF THE PREVIOUS OWNER), THE $80 VALVE I JUST REPLACED (WITH A SENSOR), ONE VALVE I SUSPECT IS LEAKING AND NEEDS REPLACEDN, AND ONE VALVE THAT MAY FAIL AT ANY TIME LIKE THE ONE A FEW WEEKS AGO. MAZDA NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS AND RECTIFY IT. THEY'RE LUCKY THAT VALVE FAILED BEFORE MY ROAD TRIP ON THE 9TH, WHEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN GOING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY! AND I DON'T APPRECIATE HAVING TO SPEND $320 TO CORRECT MAZDA'S MISTAKES.
TIRE VALVE STEM ON 2010 MAZDA 3 CORRODING AND BRAKING APART. THE FIRST VALVE STEM BROKE OFF WHILE I WAS PUTTING AIR IN MY TIRES. NOW TWO MORE ARE VISIBLY CORRODED AND THE NUT THAT HOLDS THE VALVE STEM TO THE WHEEL ARE BREAKING APART (ONE OF THEM HALF THE NUT FELL OFF).
TIRE SENSOR MALFUNCTIONS AND PUNCTURES THE TIRE. I HAD ALREADY REPLACED TIRE SENSORS ON ALL THE WHEELS AND IT IS HAPPENING EVERY YEAR. I ONLY HAD 44,000 MILES AND I HAD TO REPLACE ALL THE TIRES AND TIRE SENSORS. I HAD THE CAR PARKED YESTERDAY NIGHT AND ALL THE TIRES HAD GOOD PRESSURE AND DROVE IN THE MORNING OUT THE DRIVEWAY. WITHIN LESS THAN 0.5 DRIVING MY FRONT PASSENGER WHEEL GOT FLAT. AFTER TOWING TO DEALER, I FOUND OUT IT WAS DUE TIRE SENSOR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA 3. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V126000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,000.
THE HEADLIGHTS DO NOT WORK AT ALL FOR EITHER LOW OR HIGH BEAMS MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE ESPECIALLY DURING RAIN OR AT NIGHT. THERE IS NOT ONLY MOISTURE BUT QUITE A BIT OF WATER ACCUMULATED INSIDE BOTH HEADLIGHTS. THIS VEHICLE WAS RECENTLY PURCHASED ON SEPTEMBER 2015 AS A CERTIFIED PRE OWN WHICH COMES WITH FULL LIMITED WARRANTY. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO SERVICE THE ISSUE BUT THEY INDICATED THAT THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. THEIR ESTIMATE TO REPAIR IT IS $1,900.00 I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT IS MORE A MANUFACTURER SAFETY ISSUE THAN A WARRANTY CLAIM. I DID RESEARCH AND THERE ARE NO RECALLS ON THE HEADLIGHTS FOR MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE, BUT THERE ARE SEVERAL COMPLAINS CALLING IT A CONDENSATION ISSUE ON 2010 MAZDA 3S. IT WAS ALSO STRANGE THAT THE DEALER REP COMMENTED THAT THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE BEEN IN A CRASH WHEN THE CARFAX REPORT INDICATED THE OPPOSITE AND WE HAVE THANKFULLY BEEN ACCIDENT FREE SINCE ITS PURCHASE. PLEASE REVIEW AND ADVISE.
THE DRIVER'S SEAT BREAKS AWAY FROM THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE WHEN SITTING IN THE SEAT CAUSING THE DRIVER TO HAVE TO LEAN FORWARD OR ELSE THE SEAT ROCKS WAY BACK CAUSING THE DRIVER TO HOLD THEMSELVES UPRIGHT. DURING A FAST ACCELERATION OR QUICK STOP THE CHAIR EXHIBITS CHARACTERISTICS THAT CAN ONLY BE CALLED UNSAFE AND UNSETTLING TO THE DRIVER. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW THE SEAT WILL HOLD UP IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION OR ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED WHEN THIS WAS FIRST NOTICED.
The dash of the car is melting. It causes a reflection that is bright and impairs visibility. Mazda addressed this problem with extending the warranty. When I called the local dealerships, none of them had the dash to replace per warranty. I made several calls throughout the year and each time was told the dashboard was not available and to try again. Then COVID hit and I did not venture out. When I finally called again, the warranty had expired. Mazda offered me $200 towards replacing the dash. When I called the dealership, it was almost a $1,000 repair. I've then called Mazda again and they asked me to get a diagnosis at a local dealership. I did that and then have had zero response to my many emails and calls from my assigned rep. I have never seen a dash melt and get sticky and shiny like this before. It is literally dripping down. I believe this is a safety defect. And why Mazda had to extend the warranty. But they didn't go far enough because they extended the warranty but did not have the parts to honor such a warranty.
STEERING WHEEL LOCKING UP WHILE DRIVING, UNABLE TO TURN THE CAR
I NOTICED THAT MY SEAT WAS ROCKING ON THE LEFT SIDE AND WOULD LIFT UP. WHEN I GOT DOWN ON THE FLOOR BOARD TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON I NOTICED THAT ONE OF THE FRONT WELDS WAS COMPLETELY BROKE OFF AND LAYING ON THE FLOOR BOARD. WHILE TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO DAYCARE THIS MORNING, I WENT TO ACCELERATE AND THE OTHER SIDE OF MY SEAT BROKE AND MY ENTIRE SEAT WENT BACK, ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GET INTO AN AUTO ACCIDENT WHEN I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR. NOT ONLY WAS MY AND MY 3 YR OLD DAUGHTERS SAFETY AT RISK, BUT I NOW HAVE LOST A DAY OF WORK UNTIL THIS CAN BE FIXED. AS IF THIS WAS NOT ENOUGH, I SPOKE WITH MAZDA CORP. (1-800-222-5500) ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO B/C MY DASHBOARD IS TOTALLY MELTED. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY NICE AND MAZDA IS GOING TO REPLACE MY DASHBOARD AFTER YEARS OF THE RUN AROUND AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE BIGGER ISSUE: HOW IS IT THAT MAZDA IS INVOLVED IN A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT FOR THEIR DASH BOARDS MELTING, AND THEY HAVE PLENTY OF COMPLAINTS FILED IN THE NHTSA WEBSITE FOR FAULTY SEAT WELDS, AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON EITHER OF THESE THINGS???????????????? WHY??????????? DO LIVES HAVE TO BE LOST FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO DO A RECALL????
THE DASHBOARD HAS STARTED TO MELT. THIS HAS RESULTED IN A VERY SHINY STICKY MESS. THE SHEEN CAUSES SEVERE VISION PROBLEMS WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN ALMOST BLINDED AND UNABLE TO SEE THE TRAFFIC AT TIMES.
THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING CAUSING A GLARE IN THE WINDSHIELD. BLOCKING MY VIEW WHILE DRIVING.
SEAT WELDS BROKE WHILE DRIVING. DRIVER SEAT IS NOW NO LONGER ATTACHED TO THE CAR.
MY DASHBOARD IS ALSO MELTING LIKE OTHERS HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT. IT STARTED ABOUT 36 MONTHS IN AND ONLY GETS WORSE. IT'S NOW A STICKY MESS THAT REFLECTS ON TO THE WINDSHIELD WHICH CAUSES GLARE WHEN LOOKING OUT THE WINDSHIELD. IT SEEMS TO BE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON SUNNY DAYS IN FLORIDA. IT'S DISTRACTING AND IS UNSAFE FOR THE DRIVER AS WELL FOR ANYTHING THAT IS IN THE AREA OF THE GLARE OUTSIDE THE CAR. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. WHEN BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF MY SERVICE GARAGE THE MECHANIC TOLD ME THAT HE HAD SEEN IT ON ABOUT 1 OF EVERY 5 CARS SERVICED. WHEN I INQUIRED WHAT IT WOULD COST TO GET IT REPAIRED/REPLACED THE GUY SAID IT WOULD BE CLOSE TO $2000. THAT'S CRAZY FOR SOMETHING THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A MANUFACTURING ISSUE.
FOR SEVERAL MONTHS THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3I HAS BEEN MELTING. IT IS NOW A STICKY SHINY MESS ON TOP AND THE REFLECTION OF IT IN THE WINDSHIELD AT CERTAIN SUN ANGLES MAKES IT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I ALMOST RAN OVER A PEDESTRIAN TODAY BECAUSE I COULD NOT SEE HIM THROUGH THE REFLECTION WHICH IS THE REASON I FINALLY DECIDED TO REPORT THIS CONDITION TO NHTSA. I WAS CROSSING AN INTERSECTION AFTER MAKING A STOP FOR A STOP-SIGN AND STARTED STRAIGHT FORWARD TO CROSS THE INTERSECTION. I BARELY WAS ABLE TO STOP SHORT OF HITTING A GUY CROSSING THE STREET.
MY DASHBOARD HAS STARTED MELTING. IT CAUSES A HUGE GLARE ACROSS THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE. THIS IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN. I DID PUT MY CAR IN SERVICE AT THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP IN CLEAR LAKE, TEXAS AND IT SAT THERE FOR OVER A MONTH. THEY DID GIVE ME A LOANER CAR BUT THEY CALLED ME TO DROP OFF THE LOANER AND PICK UP MY CAR, I EXPRESSED HOW TERRIFIED I AM TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND ASKED IF I COULD STAY IN THE LOANER UNTIL THE ISSUE WAS RESOLVED, AND THEY SAID, "IT WAS NOT THEIR PROBLEM" AND GAVE ME THE MAZDA CORPORATE NUMBER "BECAUSE IT WAS MAZDA'S PROBLEM NOT THE DEALERSHIP". I CALLED MAZDA AND THEY TOLD ME TO RETURN THE LOANER AND TO PUT A TOWEL OVER THE MELTED DASHBOARD(WHICH I HAVE TRIED BUT CAUSE A REFLECTION). I AM FURIOUS THAT MY SAFETY IS NOT A PRIORITY TO THESE PEOPLE. I NEED HELP GETTING THIS ISSUE RESOLVED.
GAS PEDALS IS STICKY WHEN FLOORING IT. IT WILL STAY AT THE MAXIMUM ACCELERATION POSITION FOREVER OR THE GAS PEDALS IS STICK WITH THE FLOOR FOREVER. THE ONLY WAY TO GET OUT OF IT IS TO MANUALLY PULL IT BACK. THE STICKY GAS PEDALS WILL LEAD TO UNINTENDED ACCELERATION INCIDENTS. I BELIEVED THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH YEAR 2010 MAZDA3 5 DOOR.
MELTING DASHBOARD AND WINDSHIELD GLARE
BACK IN OCT OF 2015 MY ABS AND DSC LIGHTS WOULD COME ON AN GO OFF FOR NO REASON. AS OF DECEMBER 2016 THE LIGHTS HAVE REMAINED ON. I REPLACED THE SPEED SENSORS IN EACH WHEEL, CHECKED THE TONE RINGS, TESTED THE WIRING FOR BREAKS, TESTED THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH, I HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO CHECK OTHER THAN THE ABS SYSTEMS. I RECENTLY HAD MY CLUTCH REPLACED ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3 S BY MAZDA, WHILE PERFORMING THE WORK I ASKED IF THE TECHNICIAN COULD TELL ME WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, I WAS TOLD THAT THE ABS PUMP WAS BAD, WAS NOT TOLD IF IT WAS THE COMPUTER MODULE OR THE HYD PUMP MOTOR OR VALVE BODY. BASED ON THE SYMPTOMS, I AM ASSUMING THAT THE CONTROL MODULE IS BAD. I FOUND THAT THERE ARE TSB'S ON THIS PROBLEM WITH MANY COMPLAINTS BY OTHER 2010 MAZDA 3 OWNERS. THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND SHINY. THE MELTING DASH WHEN CLEANED FALLS APART. IT IS ALSO CREATING A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE GLARE IS CREATING AN ISSUE WHEN DRIVING ON A VERY SUNNY DAY.
FOUR NEW TIRES INSTALLED LAST SUMMER. SINCE THEN TWO HAVE FAILED WHILE DRIVING. THE FIRST TIME I THOUGHT MY DAUGHTER HIT SOMETHING WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT TOTALLY FAILED (REPLACED NEW TIRE UNDER 5000 MILES). SHE SAID IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING SLOW THRU NEIGHBORHOOD. THEN THE LEFT FRONT FAILED A FEW MONTHS LATER AND SHE HAD IT REPLACED. SHE WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM IS THE TPMS, AND THAT THE RIGHT REAR WILL PROBABLY FAIL TOO.
DASH BOARD IS MELTING AND THE GLOSS COAT IT LEAVES IS THROWING A SERVE GLARE IN THE DRIVER'S LINE OF SIGHT. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOYIFIED AND STATES THAT THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NUMERIOUS CASES POSTED ON-LINE FOR THE SAME PROBLEMS. MAZDA HAS BUILT A VEHICLE WITH A KNOWN SAFETY/MANUFACTURER DEFECT THAT THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBLITY FOR. WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET THEIR ATTENTION? LOSS OF LIFE???
MELTING DASHBOARD. MINE IS NOT AS SEVERE AS OTHERS HAVE REPORTED. BUT THERE IS A STICKY/GOOEY FEEL TO PART OF MY DASHBOARD.
MY 2010 MAZDA3 DASHBOARD IS MELTING/DISSOLVING INTO A STICKY GOO. THE MELTING AREA IS CURRENTLY ABOUT 8" SQUARE AND APPEARS TO BE SPREADING. IT IS LOCATED DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHEN THE SUN SHINES UPON IT. THE GLARE IS A DISTRACTION AND, AT TIMES, MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE THINGS. I NOTICED THE GLARE AND THE MELTING DASHBOARD ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO.
I OPENED THE DRIVERS DOOR, SAT DOWN AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DOOR. THE DOOR WOULD NOT LATCH. I LOOKED AT THE DOOR LATCH AND THE THREE SCREWS USED TO ATTACH THE LATCH WERE MISSING AND THE LATCH WAS HANGING FREELY WITHIN THE DOOR. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE TRACTION CONTROL AND THE ANTI LOCK BRAKE WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED THE BATTERY CABLE BUT THE LIGHTS REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC BUT THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
DASHBOARD STARTED TO MELT. THE PANEL IS ALL STICKY, INCLUDING A/C VENTS WHICH ALSO STARTED TO CRACK.WILL TAKE THE CAR TO DEALER TO FIX/SUGGEST A SOLUTION. TOUCHING THE SHINNY PARTS WITH FINGERS WILL TURN FINGERS BLACK, STICKY AND IS ALSO HARD TO CLEAN. TRYING TO CLEAN DASH MAKES THINGS WORST.
THE WELD ON THE BOTTOM OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT, WHICH ATTACHES THE SEAT TO THE SLIDING RAILS, HAS BROKEN. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I WAS ACCELERATING AS THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED GREEN. THE SEAT IS NOW VERY LOOSE AND IS ROCKING BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE TO HOLD ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHILE ACCELERATING OR BRAKING TO KEEP FROM TIPPING OVER. THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. AFTER DOING A LITTLE RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET, IT'S OBVIOUS THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2010 MAZDA3. YET MAZDA REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I WENT TO THE MAZDA DEALER AND WAS QUOTED $582 DOLLARS JUST FOR THE PARTS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT, WHICH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE LABOR COST. I ALSO WENT TO THE MAZDA WEBSITE AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THREE WEEKS HAVE PASSED AND NO ONE FROM MAZDA HAS CONTACTED ME. ALL I RECEIVED WAS AN AUTOMATED EMAIL SAYING "DUE TO THE UNUSUALLY LARGE NUMBER OF EMAILS RECEIVED OUR RESPONSE TIME MAY BE DELAYED". I DON'T THINK MAZDA WILL EVER RESPOND.
THE DASHBOARD ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3 HAS BECOME STICKY, THERE IS A SLIGHT SHINE TO IT WHICH GLARES OFF THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND AM TAKING IT IN TOMORROW TO SEE ABOUT REPAIR/REPLACEMENT. I USE A SUNSHADE THOUGH I DO NOT HAVE A DASHBOARD COVER. THE AFFECTED AREA IS CLEARLY WHERE THE DASH GETS THE HOTTEST.

STARTED TO NOTICE STICKY RESIDUE ON THE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. HARD TO CLEAN OFF MAKING FOR A VISIBILITY ISSUE. DAYS LATER AFTER THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED NOTICED THE DASHBOARD WAS VERY STICKY AND APPEARS TO BE MELTING. AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION ONLINE REALIZE THIS IS AN GOING ISSUE WITH THESE CARS AND OTHERS. I.E. TOYOTA/LEXUS .
THE SWING ARM THAT ATTACHES THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO THE LEFT-SIDE SEAT RUNNER UNEXPECTEDLY DETACHED. CLOSE INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THIS WAS CAUSED BY A WELD FAILURE / METAL FATIGUE AT THE POINT WHERE THE ARM WAS WELDED TO THE ROD THAT RUNS BELOW THE CUSHION. THE SEAT IS NOW UNSTABLE AND ROCKS IN AN ALARMING WAY, BOTH WHEN ACCELERATING, DECELERATING OR STATIONARY.
THE DASH BOARD HAS STARTED TO MELT AND BECOME VERY STICKY AND SHINY. THE SHINY REFLECTION FROM THE DASHBOARD CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHEN IT IS SUNNY OUTSIDE.
A COUPLE MONTHS AGO I HEARD A CLICK WHILE DRIVING MY CAR AND AFTER HEARING THAT CLICK I NOTICED THAT MY DRIVERS CAR SEAT TITLED A LITTLE. YESTERDAY AFTER LOADING MY CAR I HEARD ANOTHER CLICK AND NOW BOTH FRONT WELDS ATTACHING MY DRIVERS SEAT TO THE FLOOR BOARD HAVE BROKEN OFF LEAVING MY DRIVERS CAR SEAT COMPLETELY UNATTACHED AT THE FRONT. MY CAR IS NOW EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND BASICALLY A ROCKING CHAIR. AFTER CALLING BOTH THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM AND THE MAZDA DEALERSHIP THEY BOTH TURNED ME AWAY TELLING ME IT WASN'T SOMETHING THAT THEY WOULD LOOK AT. THIS IS AN EXTREME DANGER AND AFTER DOING MY RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
THE DASHBOARD OF THE VEHICLE, PARTICULARLY THE AREA ABOVE THE STEERING WHEEL, APPEARS TO HAVE MELTED. THE SURFACE OF THE DASHBOARD IS STICKY AND SHINY LIKE IT IS COVERED IN TAR. IT CANNOT BE WIPED, AND THE SHINY SURFACE PRODUCES A SEVERE GLARE RIGHT IN THE LINE OF SIGHT FOR THE DRIVER. NO CLEANERS OR CHEMICALS HAVE BEEN USED ON THE DASH, ONLY A DRY CLOTH.

IN THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF, SINCE JULY 2015, I HAVE REPLACED THREE TIRE MONITORING VALVES ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3. THIS MORNING I WENT TO DRIVE MY CAR THE MONITOR WARNING LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH. THIS WILL BE THE FOURTH REPLACEMENT. AND THE REPAIR IS NOT CHEAP THROUGH THE DEALER. IT IS ABOUT $200 FOR EACH VALVE. I READ SOME BAD EXPERIENCES WHERE PEOPLE HAVE HAD A TIRE BLOW OUT. I PRAY THAT DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ME.

I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW AT THE END OF 2009 IN TEXAS. WITHIN THE LAST YEAR OF OWNERSHIP, MY DASHBOARD HAS GOTTEN STICKY AND VERY SHINY. WITH DAYTIME DRIVING, THE SUN GLARES ON MY DASH AND PREVENTS ME FROM BEING ABLE TO SEE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF ME. IT IS AN UNMANAGEABLE CONDITION; IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH IMPAIRED ROAD VISION. IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE, AND I NO LONGER DRIVE AT CERTAIN TIMES OF THE DAY TO AVOID BEING IN AN ACCIDENT. I AM AWARE THAT THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM FOR 2010 MAZDA 3 VEHICLES LIKE MINE. THE DASH ON MY 2010 MAZDA 3 HAS BECOME VERY "STICKY" AND SHINY FROM NORMAL EXPOSURE TO THE SUN. I AM LOCATED IN PALM BEACH COUNTY FLORIDA. ADDITIONALLY, THE DASH HAS STARTED TO SPLIT ON THE RIGHT SIDE THAT COVERS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. I BELIEVE THSE TWO ISSUES POSE A SAFETY HAZARD FROM REDUCED VISIBILITY THRU THE WINDSHIELD DUE TO GLARE AND FROM THE CHANCE THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG COULD DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY/INCORRECTLY OR NOT AT ALL IN A CRASH.
DASH HAS BECOME STICKY AND APPEARS TO BE SLOWLY MELTING TO THE POINT IT CANNOT BE CLEANED. IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE IN THAT IT CAUSES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT OBSTRUCTS CLEAR VISION TO ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
