I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS AND MAZDA CONTINUES TO TELL ME THEY DON'T HAVE THE PARTS AND THEY DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN THEY WILL GET PARTS FOR MY CAR. I WAS TOLD IT WILL PROBABLY BE A FEW MORE MONTHS. I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO FAITH THAT MAZDA WILL EVER FIX MY CAR !! *TR

ENGINE STARTED KNOCKING OUT OF NO WHERE REALLY LOST POWER IT SPUN THE BEARING AND ROD IN THE ENGINE ITS THE 2.3 LITER ENGINE MAZDA HAS HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS FROM 2004 TO 2006 I HAVE SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE LIKE I SAID COULD CAUSE MAJOR ACCIDENTS IT WAS NOT LOW ON OIL AND WAS NOT READY FOR ITS MAINTENANCE MAZDA NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS. *TR

VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN A FRONT END COLLISION WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH. THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE DRIVER WAS WEARING SAFETY BELT. AFTER EXITING VEHICLE, A FIRE WAS DISCOVERED NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE B-POST. FIRE BURNED AND MELTED THE INTERIOR TRIM AND SEATBELT, AS WELL AS CAUSING HEAT DAMAGE TO THE DRIVER'S INTERIOR DOOR AND WINDOW. FIRE WAS EXTINGUISHED WITH A DRY CHEMICAL EXTINGUISHER. FIRE DEPARTMENT INVESTIGATION ALSO FOUND HEAVY FIRE DAMAGE TO THE SEATBELT PRETENSIONER, WHICH WAS LOCATED IN THE AREA OF FIRE ORIGIN. *TR

DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, AND THE SUNROOF EXPLODED. NOTHING HIT THE SUNROOF. HEARD A CRACKING SOUND AND DID NOT KNOW WHERE IT WAS COMING FROM. MOVED THE SUNROOF COVER AND THE GLASS WAS SHATTERED. SHATTERED GLASS STARTED TO FALL INSIDE THE CAR. *TR
CAR JUST UNEXPECTEDLY DOWN SHIFTS FROM 4TH TO 3RD GEAR.. TRANSMISSION REVS . HAVE TO STOP THE CAR. CAN NOT TAKE INTERSTATE BECAUSE IT MAY CAUSE A WRECK.. ALTERNATOR LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON.. HAVE TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND RESTART THE CAR TO RESET GEARS.. *TR
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
WHILE DRIVING BACK HOME THE CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN THE SPEED , WHEN I TRIED TO SHIFTED TO GET MORE SPEED BECAUSE I WAS ON THE EXPRESSWAY , IT JUST DIED , I TOOK A TOW TRUCK TO MY MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME THAT THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION WIRING HARNESS BURNED. *TR

AIR BAGS ARE DEADLY. MY GRAND DAUGHTER SITS IN THE BACK SEAT WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS THE SEAT BELT NEVER LOCKS PROPERLY JUST A PIECE OF TRASH.
DRIVING NORMALLY, TRANSMISSION GETS STRUCK IN 1ST, 2ND, 3RD OR FOURTH GEAR. SOMETIMES TRANSMISSION WILL DOWNSHIFT VERY, VERY HARD. *TR
KEPT PUT ITS SELF IN GEAR WHICH IS A SAFETY MODE !!! SO I WENT TO CHANGE THE BATTERY AND SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING AND THE FUSE FOR THE RADIO WAS BLOWN AND EVERY TIME I WENT TO CHANGE THE FUSE IT WOULD BLOW.SO I TOOK IT TO THE SHOP TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE RADIO SOME WIRING ALTERNATOR WAS PUTTING OUT 17 VOLTS AND BURNED OUT THE WIRING!!! THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR AND SHOULD BE COVERED!!! *TR
CONSTANT OVERHEATING PROBLEMS. CHANGED EVERYTHING FROM HOSES TO RADIATOR,THERMOSTAT AND GASKET BUT IT STILL COMES ON AFTER A WHILE. SPENT SOOO MUCH MONEY ON THIS AND THE OTHER DAY SMOKE ERUPTED FROM CAR WHEN DRIVING AND GOT IN ACCIDENT. FORMER OWNER HAD SAME PROBLEM. *TR
DRIVER SIDE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM OUTSIDE WITH KEY OR INSIDE WITH LATCH. I'VE BEEN USING THE KEY TO OPEN THE DOORS FOR THE PAST YEAR BECAUSE BOTH REMOTES STOPPED WORKING. ALL DOORS UNLOCKED BUT THE DRIVER SIDE. IT LOOKED LIKE THE DRIVER LATCH WAS NOT MOVING TO THE FULLY OPEN POSITION. I LOWERED THE WINDOW AND TRIED TO MOVE THE INTERIOR LATCH MANUALLY BUT IT WOULD NOT MOVE. I ENTERED THE DOOR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE IN ORDER TO DRIVE. I CHECKED TODAY AND THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY QUOTED $280 FOR A REPLACEMENT PART. NADA SAYS ITS THE VEHICLE IS WORTH ABOUT $2000, I CAN GET ABOUT $400 AS SCRAP. I THINK ITS TIME TO GET RID OF A CAR WHEN IT NO LONGER WANTS TO LET YOU IN OR OUT OF IT. *TR
WHILE SITTING IN MY PARKED CAR, I WAS BURNED BY THE SEAT WARMER. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, BUT THIS WAS THE MOST SEVERE INCIDENT. I BEGAN TO SMELL PLASTIC BURNING-- THIS IS QUITE FRIGHTENING AND COULD BE POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. *TR
I HAVE A 2004 MAZDA 6 WHEN I PARKED AND TRIED TO EXIT THE CAR THE DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN. IT SEEMS THE DOOR LOCK HAD SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT AND THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OUT OUTSIDE! I TRIED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR WITH THE POWER LOCKS AS WELL AS MANUALLY. EVEN TRYING TO MUSCLE THE LOCK OPEN IT DID NOT WORK! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IF I HAD TO EXIT THE CAR QUICKLY I WOULD HAVE TO CLIMB OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE AND EXIT THROUGH THE PASSENGER DOOR. I HAVE READ THAT THIS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM ON OTHER MAZDA 6. I WENT TO THE DEALER TO GET A PRICE ON A NEW DOOR LATCH I SPOKE TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD HE JUST FINISHED CHANGING A DOOR LATCH ON A MAZDA 6 THAT THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN! SHOULD WE WAIT UNTIL SOMEONE TO GET HURT IN A CAR THEY CAN'T GET OUT OF BEFORE THIS ISSUE IS FIXED!. *TR
SMELL GASOLINE FUMES INSIDE CAR, SMELLS STRONGER WHILE RIDDING IN BACK SEAT. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON ALL MOST ALL THE TIME. GOES OFF ONCE IN A GREAT WHILE FOR 5 TO 10 MIN THEN GOES BACK ON. BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2012. HAD DIAGNOSTIC TEST DONE SAID IT WAS THE O2 SENSOR. REPLACED IT. LIGHT WAS OFF WHEN I PICKED THE CAR UP. DROVE 6 MILES LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN.AND HASN'T WENT OFF SINCE. STILL SMELL FUEL FUMES INSIDE CAR. *TR

THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO ENTER THE VEHICLE THROUGH ANOTHER DOOR BUT ALL OF THE DOORS WERE UNABLE TO BE OPENED. THE CONTACT HAD TO CRAWL THROUGH THE TRUNK IN ORDER TO ENTER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO OPEN ALL DOORS AFTER SEVERAL HOURS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOORS COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHO WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR AFTER TWO HOURS. THE MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE DOOR MECHANISMS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS AWAITING REPAIRS. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MAZDA MAZDA6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECURRING FAILURE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THE TRANSMISSION WIRING HAD BURNED OUT, CAUSING THE FOURTH GEAR TO FAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED TWICE FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN, BUT THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 130,000. *TR
ON AUGUST 15, 2012 I STOPPED OFF AT A GAS STATION WENT TO OPEN DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND THE DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE HANDLE. I THEN HAD TO ESCAPE BY CLIMBING OVER THE CONSOLE TO EXIT THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR, GOOD THING I'M A SMALL GIRL AND NOT A BIG GUY TRYING TO CLIMB OUT. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A DOOR HANDLE ON MY CAR FOR APPROXIMATELY 6 MONTHS, HAVING TO CLIMB THRU THE WINDOW OR PASSENGER DOOR. I FINALLY TAKE TO MECHANIC TO PURCHASE A NEW HANDLE AT $100 AND THEN CHARGED ANOTHER $150 FOR THE LABOR TO FIND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MAZDA AND THE REAL ISSUE ARE THE DOOR LATCHES. I NOW HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY AT ANOTHER $205 AND ANOTHER $100 IN LABOR. THIS ENTIRE TIME I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE THAT IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT I WOULD HAVE SUED MAZDA FOR. THESE ARE FAULTY LATCHES THEY ASSEMBLED ON THE DRIVER SIDE DOORS UNSAFELY LOCKING US INSIDE THE VEHICLE. MAZDA NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE, CORRECT THIS ISSUE, AND REIMBURSE THE OWNERS THAT ARE PAYING FOR THIS FAULTY PART. THIS HAS COST ME OUT OF POCKET OF $550. UNCALLED FOR!!! *TR
DRIVER DOOR LOCK AND IT WILL NOT OPEN. *TR
MY BATTERY ON MY 2004 MAZDA 6 WENT OUT AND I HAD TO JUMP START IT TO.GO TO WORK AND COME FROM WORK ONE DAY. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK MY BATTERY TO GET CHECKED TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND THEY TOLD ME MY BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND IT HAD ONLY 6 MONTHS OF USAGE. I PUT A NEW BATTERY IN MY VEHICLE AND AS I INSTALLED THE NEW BATTERY I UNPLUGGED IT TO SEE IF MY ALTERNATOR WOULD KICK IN TO MAKE SURE IT WAS WORKING CORRECTLY AND AS I PUT THE BATTERY BACK ON A SHORTAGE HAPPENS AND MY WIPERS CAME ON AT FULL SPEED AND ALL MY LIGHTS WERE BLINKING ON MY DASH AND A SMELL OF ELECTRICAL WIRES BURNING STARTED TO HAPPEN AND THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM HAS MESSED UP. TURN SIGNAL LIGHTS DON'T WORK,HEADLIGHTS, BOSE STEREO,HAZARD LIGHTS,REVERSE LIGHTS TRUCK DON'T OPEN WINDOWS DON'T GO UP OR DOWN AND WHILE I DRIVE THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT TRACK THE VELOCITY THE NEEDLE GOES CRAZY AND MY E-BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AND TRACK CONTROL LIGHT IS BLINKING AND THE AIR BAG LIGHTS COME ON ALL THE TIME . I DO NOT KNOW WHERE TO START TO FIX THIS ISSUE BUT I'M REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS BECAUSE I JUST HAVE 8 MONTHS WITH MY VEHICLE FROM A DEALER SHIP AND THEY CHECKED OUT CAR JUST FINE. THIS IS GOING TO BE A SUPER HIGH COST TO REPAIR ALL THE DAMAGES. JUST FROM A CHANGE OF A BATTERY. WHILE TRAVELING ON INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH, A PIECE OF CHROME PLATED TRIM FROM THE TOP OF THE GRILL (ROUGHLY 3" X 24") FLEW OFF STRIKING THE FRONT WINDSHIELD ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY FACE (THE DEALER PROVIDED MAZDA PART NUMBER FOR THE TRIM IS GK2A50710C). THE PIECE EITHER EXPLODED ON IMPACT OR WAS DEFLECTED AND THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE WINDSHIELD BUT I FEEL THAT AN ISSUE LIKE THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN. I TAKE IT VERY SERIOUSLY FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: 1.) IT WAS EXTREMELY LOUD AND DISTRACTING AND I COULD HAVE EASILY LOST CONTROL HAVING A TRACTOR TRAILER DIRECTLY BESIDE ME AND ANOTHER IN FRONT OF ME AT THE TIME. 2.) THE POSSIBILITY OF THIS PIECE PENETRATING THE WINDSHIELD (AND MY SKULL) RATHER THAN BEING DEFLECTED. 3.) THE POSSIBILITY OF THE AIRBORNE TRIM LANDING BEFORE ANOTHER MOTORIST OR CYCLIST BEHIND ME. *TR
OBSCURED REAR VISION ON SPORTWAGONS. REPLACEMENTS FOR ORIGINAL REPLACEABLE REAR BLADE CARRIER DO NOT CORRECTLY FIT THE ORIGINAL WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY (MOUNTED TO THE REAR WINDOW). BOTH RECENTLY SUPPLIED MAZDA(!) AND AFTERMARKET BLADE CARRIERS HAVE A NEW TAB THAT INTERFERES WITH THE WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY, PREVENTING PRESSURE BEING FULLY APPLIED TO THE TIPS OF THE RUBBER BLADE. CONSEQUENTLY, ONLY A SMALL, CENTRAL PORTION OF THE REAR WINDOW IS WIPED CLEAR OF RAIN, SNOW OR MUD. THAT IS HAZARDOUS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT STATED THAT DUE TO A CRASH, THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE AT THE BASE OF THE SEAT BELT FROM LOCKING DOWN IMPACT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER AND FOUR PASSENGERS SUFFERED INJURIES DURING THE CRASH. THE INJURIES INCLUDED BRUISING AND CONTUSIONS. ONE OF THE PASSENGERS ALSO SUFFERED A BROKEN COLLAR BONE AFTER IMPACTING WITH A SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS DECLARED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE UNKNOWN. UPDATED 05/09/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE ABOVE VEHICLE RAN A RED LIGHT AT HIGH SPEED AND T-BONED A TOYOTA YARIS. THE DRIVER OF THE MAZDA WAS CHARGED WITH DUI AND OTHER OFFENSES. I PURCHASED MY CAR USED IN OCTOBER 2011. MY CAR FREQUENTLY STALLS ON THE HIGHWAY AND I HAVE TO EITHER PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY TO RESTART IT OR PUT IT IN NEUTRAL AND RESTART IT WHILE COASTING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS ALSO HAPPENS AT SLOW SPEEDS BUT IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MAZDA PUT OUT A SERVICE BULLETIN ON THE THROTTLE BODY IN 2006. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO PURCHASE A REPLACEMENT THROTTLE BODY SINCE JULY 2012 AND HAVE FOUND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND THE PART AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THE PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. OBVIOUSLY MAZDA KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE PART OR THEY WOULDN'T HAVE PUT A SERVICE BULLETIN OUT. I FEEL MAZDA IS PUTTING LIVES AT RISK BY NOT MAKING THE REPLACEMENT PART AVAILABLE. *TR
VEHICLE HAS NEEDED 3 BATTERY REPLACEMENTS WITHIN PAST 2 YEARS. LAST INCIDENT WAS WHEN VEHICLE HAD BEEN IDLE FOR 5 DAYS AND NEEDED JUMP STARTING. VEHICLE RAN OK FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS BUT AFTER SITTING IDLE FOR ABOUT 6 HOURS THE BATTERY WAS DEAD AGAIN. THE NEXT DAY AN ATTEMPT TO JUMP START THE VEHICLE FAILED. IN ADDITION, MANY ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS STARTED UP. THE ELECTRIC WINDOWS ROLLED DOWN AND WIPERS TURNED ON BY THEMSELVES. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MAZDA DEALERSHIP. FIRST DIAGNOSIS WAS BAD ALTERNATOR. ALTERNATOR WAS OVERCHARGING. SECOND DIAGNOSIS WAS A FAILED CPM / COMPUTER. DEALERSHIP SAID OVERCHARGING ALTERNATOR SHORTED OUT CPM. ALSO FUSES ETC. HAD BEEN BLOWN OUT. PARTS HAVE BEEN ORDERED BUT VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS OF THIS NOTE. *KB
MAZDA 6I HATCHBACK DEVELOPED SEVERE PULL TO THE RIGHT DURING REGULAR CITY, EVEN DRIVING ON A FLAT SURFACE. A STRONG GRIP AND CONSIDERABLE PULL ON THE STEERING WHEEL WAS NECESSARY TO KEEP THE CAR DRIVING STRAIGHT, AND BECOMES EXHAUSTING TO MAINTAIN ON LONG DRIVES. VEHICLE WAS REALIGNED AT A TIRE SHOP AND TECHNICIANS NOTED FRONT WHEELS WERE SEVERAL DEGREES OUT OF ALIGNMENT. AFTER 50 MILES, THE PULL RECURRED AND GREW MORE SEVERE. REGULAR REALIGNMENTS HAVE NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. REVIEW OF THE WHEELS AND ASSOCIATED COMPONENTS WITH AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOUND PREMATURE WEAR DUE TO REALIGNMENT, AND TIRES WEAR UNEVENLY AS A RESULT. MAZDA REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM BUT RESEARCH AND SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCHES SHOW THE PROBLEM IS ENDEMIC WITH THE MAZDA6. *TR

MECHANIC SAID I HAVE TO GET IT REBUILD, I HAD OVER 20 QUOTES FOR A PRICE TO GET IT REBUILD BUT I CANT AFFORD IT..PLEASE RECALL THE 3.0 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION...I LOOKED ON THE INTERNET AND I SAW THAT HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MAZDA 6 2004 TRANSMISSIONS AND WE CANT AFFORD IT. MY 2004 MAZDA 6 WAS DEMONSTRATING A RACING ENGINE/PROBLEMATIC AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND SHIFTING ISSUES (THE TACHOMETER WAS FLUTTERING AND RACING) AS I WAS BRAKING ON A MAJOR ROAD FROM 40 MPH TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT. THE CAR WOULD NOT SLOW. I MANUALLY SHIFTED DOWN FROM 4TH TO 3RD, AND IT STILL EXHIBITED THE SAME 'BOUNCING' REVS ON ABOVE 2000 RPM. AS I APPLIED MY BRAKES THE CAR WAS DEFINITELY HESITATING TO DOWNSHIFT AND WASN'T SLOWING WELL; I PUT IT BACK INTO AUTOMATIC "D" SHIFTING AND PRESSED FIRMLY ON THE BRAKES TO TRY TO SLOW THE VEHICLE. I HALTED VERY CLOSE TO THE NEXT CAR IN THE LINE DESPITE HAVING STARTED BRAKING WELL BEFORE I NEEDED TO SAFELY COME TO A STOP IN THE VEHICLE. IN FIRST GEAR AT A STOP, THE TACH WAS FLUTTERING FROM 1000 TO 1800 (WELL OUTSIDE THE NORMAL IDLE RANGE OF 900-1100) UNTIL I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, ENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE, AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. WHEN I RESTARTED IT SEEMED TO BE OKAY BUT IT HAS DONE THIS ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. *TR
2004 MAZDA 6- DRIVER DOOR IS STUCK AND WILL NOT OPEN. DEALER HAD TO BREAK THE DOOR TO OPEN IT AND CHARGED ME TO REPLACE WHAT THEY BROKE. I WILL ALSO HAVE TO PAY FOR THE DEFECTIVE PART. I SEE THAT THERE ARE OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME THING. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. *TR
ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING AT ANY SPEED. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE A LARGE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE EXACT SAME SYMPTOMS WITH THE 2003-2005 MAZDA 6. MAZDA EVEN RELEASED A SERVICE BULLETIN: 01-016/06 IN 2006 REGARDING A BAD THROTTLE BODY WITH AA, AB, OR BA MARKINGS. SURE ENOUGH AFTER REMOVING THE THROTTLE BODY, MINE HAD THE AA MARKINGS. FROM THE AMOUNT OF ONLINE COMPLAINTS AND THE FACT THAT A SERVICE BULLETIN WAS RELEASED, THIS IS NOT AN ISOLATED ISSUE. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL. TO TOP IT OFF, CURRENTLY MAZDA HAS AN ISSUE WITH REPLACEMENT THROTTLE BODY'S THAT WILL CAUSE THE CAR TO JERK AND STALL AT ANYTIME. THEY HAVE ADMITTED THAT THE CURRENT NEW STOCK OF THROTTLE BODIES WILL NOT WORK WITH MY VEHICLE. THIS WILL CAUSE PEOPLE TO KEEP DRIVING WITH A BAD THROTTLE BODY SINCE THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT.
THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE VEHICLE FAILED. AS A RESULT, I AM UNABLE TO ENTER THE CAR FROM THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. FURTHERMORE, THE REMOTE CONTROL, KEY, INTERIOR LATCH, DOOR HANDLE WILL NOT OPEN THE DOOR. AS A RESULT, I HAVE TO ENTER THE CAR THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR AND CLIMB OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE. THIS IS A PROBLEM DUE TO BACK SURGERY IN WHICH SCREWS WERE PLACED IN MY LOWER BACK TO STABILIZE TO DISK. BECAUSE THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN, THE DOOR PANEL CAN NOT BE REMOVED AND THUS THERE IS NO ACCESS TO THE FAILED PARTS. NO ONE SEEMS TO WANT TO WORK ON THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A DEFINITE PROBLEM IN THAT AN ESCAPE FROM THE CAR WOULD BE TIME CONSUMING AND IMPOSSIBLE SHOULD AN ACCIDENT OCCUR. UPDATED 07/05/11 *BF

THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,126 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 82,132.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AND THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD TIME THE FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS WERE REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO INFORM NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

HE ADDED OIL TO THE ENGINE AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CAM HAD SLIPPED WHICH CAUSED EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS SPEAKING WITH WARRANTY PERSONNEL AND THE MANUFACTURER AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 85,000.
