I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN THE MASSIVE RECALL OF AIRBAGS FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW AND STILL CANNOT ORDER A REPLACEMENT PART FOR MY CAR. I HAVE TRIED TO CALL MANY DEALERSHIPS AND THEY ALL HAVE TOLD ME THEY CANNOT ORDER IT FOR MY VIN # YET. I AM BEING FORCED TO EITHER DRIVE A DANGEROUS, LIFE THREATENING CAR MADE BY MAZDA OR RENT ONE FOR MONTHS ON END. EITHER WAY THIS IS TAKING WAY TOO LONG AND IS WAY TOO RISKY AND DISGRACEFUL. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS WHILE I AM WAITING FOR THIS REMEDY I WILL BE CONTACTING A LAWYER.

FIRST OF ALL I AM HAPPY THAT THE CAR DONE IT JOB IN PROTECTING MY DAUGHTER DURING A CRASH WITH ROLL OVER OF THREE TIMES. THE REASON I'M HERE IS TO SHARE MY CONCERN WITH THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING DURING THE CRASH. THE CRASH WAS A VERY HEAVY IMPACT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF CAR AND THE DRIVER SIDE ALSO HAD A BIG IMPACT. NO AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. I FEEL AT LEAST THE SIDE CURTAINS WOULD HAVE . I HAVE MANY PICTURES OF THE CAR AND IT DONE ITS JOB BY PROTECTING THE DRIVER COMPARTMENT. I WOULD REALLY HOPE THAT THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE AIR BAGS. ON 5-16-15 I HAD A OIL CHANGE AT MY LOCAL DEALER AND THEY REPAIRED THE RECALL FOR THE DRIVER AIR BAG REGULATOR. COULD SOMETHING SET WRONG TO KEEP THE AIR BAGS FROM DEPLOYING? MY DAUGHTER REALLY WANTS ANOTHER MAZDA SINCE SHE WALKED AWAY WITHOUT ANY INJURIES BUT I'M SCARED THE NEXT MAZDA AIR BAGS MIGHT NOT GO OFF WHEN SHE REALLY NEEDS THEM. AGAIN I HOPE THIS IS TO HELP THE NEXT PERSON DAUGHTER AND THEY CAN BE SO LUCKY AS I WAS TO HAVE MY DAUGHTER.
FOR IT HAVING SO FEW MILES 60K AND HAVING BEEN SERVICED WITH SYNTHETIC TRANSMISSION OIL, THIS CAR SHIFT HARD FROM FIRST AND SECOND AT REGULAR TEMPERATURE. ON COLD STARTS CAR SHIFT HARDER AND AT TIMES TURNS OFF OR LOSSES POWER.

DELIVERED TO DEALER, RETURNED LATER TO PICK UP VEHICLE AND WAS INFORMED THEY DID NOT HAVE REPAIR PART COMPONENTS ON HAND. THEY AGREE TO NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE TO RESCHEDULE REPAIR. HAVE RECEIVED THREE NOTICES FROM MAZDA SINCE, ASKING ME IF I NO LONGER HAD THE VEHICLE. NEVER CONTACTED TO RESCHEDULE REPAIR.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON FEBRUARY 17 THAT THE AIR BAG INFLATER NEEDS TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT IS AMONG THE MILLIONS OF TAKATA AIR BAGS THAT COULD EXPLODE INTO SHRAPNEL AND INJURE OR KILL THE DRIVER, TWO MONTHS LATER, I'M STILL WAITING FOR PARTS TO COME, AND MAZDA SAYS IT HAS NO IDEA HOW SOON PARTS WILL BE AVAILABLE. THIS LEAVES ME DRIVING A CAR THAT IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS -- EVEN FATAL. WORSE, WE WANT TO SELL THIS CAR, WHICH LEAVES ME WITH TWO OPTIONS: DON'T TELL PROSPECTIVE BUYERS ABOUT THE RECALL, WHICH PUTS THEM AT RISK BECAUSE OF A SIN OF OMISSION ON MY PART,OR GO AHEAD AND TELL THEM ABOUT THE AIR BAG ISSUE AND GREATLY DIMINISH MY CHANCES OF SELLING THE CAR (AND/OR REDUCE THE VALUE). I GUESS MY BEST OPTION IS TO KEEP MY MOUTH SHUT AND SELL THE CAR TO A DEALER BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT REQUIRED BY LAW TO DISCLOSE THAT THERE ARE UNFIXED SAFETY RECALLS ON USED VEHICLES. I HAVE A 2007 MAZDA 6 AND UNFORTUNATELY RECENTLY AFTER I TURNED ON THE SEAT WARMER I SMELLED BURNING LEATHER. I THEN FELT A BURNING SENSATION ON MY THIGH. I QUICKLY MOVED AWAY THEN NOTICED THAT MY SEAT WAS ON FIRE. THE SEAT WARMER BURNT A WHOLE IN THE SEAT. THE THREADS LOOKED LIKE THE BLAZING WICK ON A LIT CANDLE. A RED GLARE WAS SEEN UNDER THE REST OF THE SEAT. I CONTACTED MAZDA AND WAS TOLD THAT ITS THE AGE OF THE VEHICLE, ITS WEAR AND TEAR AND THEREFORE ITS CUSTOMER COST TO REPAIR. THE ASSOCIATE DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO LOOK AT THE DAMAGE. HE SAID THAT HE COULD GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF HOW MUCH IT WOULD COST FOR THE REPAIRS. CUSTOMER PAY. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS BECAUSE IF I HAD NO SENSATION IN MY THIGHS I COULD HAVE ENDED UP WITH A THIRD DEGREE BURN. WE RECEIVED A NOTICE FOR A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG LAST MARCH 2015. WE CONTACTED THE LOCAL MAZDA DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST 2015 ASKING WHEN WE WOULD HAVE OUR AIRBAGS REPLACED. WE WERE TOLD THAT THEY HAD NO IDEA WHEN THE PART WOULD COME IN. MAYBE IN 2016. WE ARE DRIVING AROUND WITH AN UNSAFE AIRBAG. HAS NHTSA SET A DEADLINE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAGS? THIS DELAY IS SCARY AND FRUSTRATION. MAZDA IS IN NO HURRY WHAT STEPS CAN WE TAKE TO THE AIRBAGS REPLACE NOW?
I CURRENTLY OWN A 2007 MAZDA6 AND HAVE AN AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT ON ALL THE TIME. YESTERDAY I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MAZDA INFORMING ME OF AN AIRBAG RECALL. THE DATE ON THE LETTER IS LISTED AS FEBRUARY 2015. I TRIED THEIR WEBSITE AND CAN'T GET AN E-MAIL TO ANYONE. THEY DON'T LIST A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL. THEY DO HOWEVER GIVE YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS.SO THIS LEAVES ME OUT IN THE COLD WITH ONLY ONE WAY TO SEEK HELP AND IT IS FROM YOUR DEPT.THE LETTER INDICATES THAT IN CERTAIN SITUATIONS THE AIRBAG COULD DEPLOY. IN THE LETTER IT STATES TO WAIT FOR THE SECOND LETTER BECAUSE PARTS AREN'T AVAILABLE. THIS MAKES MY SAFETY AT RISK AND SEEMS AS THOUGH MAZDA ISN'T REALLY CONCERNED. CAN YOU HELP ME GET IN TOUCH WITH SOMEONE WHO CAN LOOK AT MY CAR AND FIX THIS PROBLEM. IT IS MY ONLY VEHICLE. I'M NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR BUT HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE THAT RISK.

UPSET - CALLED MAZDA MONTHS AGO REGARDING THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG INFLATOR RECALL AND WAS TOLD VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THIS IS A CAR THAT MY DAUGHTER AND 4 YEAR OLD GRANDSON DRIVE AROUND IN. NOW YESTERDAY I RECEIVE IN THE MAIL (CAR REGISTERED IN MY NAME) RECALL NOTICE FOR THIS CAR - AIR BAG. I CALLED BOTH MAZDA DEALERS IN MY AREA AND NEITHER ONE OF THEM HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX THIS RECALL. THIS WHOLE SITUATION IS VERY UPSETTING. I CANNOT BELIEVE GIVEN THE SERIOUS IMPLICATIONS OF A POSSIBLE DEPLOYMENT WE HAVE HAD TO WAIT SO LONG TO GET NOTIFICATION AND THE DEALERS DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS !!! *TR

FOLLOWING TWO DAYS OF HEAVY RAIN, TURN SIGNAL REMAINED LIT EVEN WITH IGNITION TURNED OFF. TURN SIGNALS WILL NOT BLINK AND EMERGENCY FLASHER WILL NOT WORK. ALL OF A SUDDEN OUR CAR STARTED MAKING A HORRIFIC SOUND, ESPECIALLY WHEN ACCELERATING. WE TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC WHO HAD TO REPLACE THE TIMING CHAIN KIT AND TENSIONER ASSEMBLIES. DOING SIMPLE ONLINE SEARCHES FOR THIS PROBLEM, THIS APPEARS TO BE A MAJOR ISSUE WITH A LOT OF MAZDA VEHICLES, YET STILL THERE HAS NOT BEEN A RECALL COVERING THIS ISSUE. *TR
