CONSUMER WANTS TO KNOW IF THERE IS ANY RECALL 2007 MAZDA 6 AND IS TRYING TO GET AN OWNERS MANUAL. THE POWER WINDOWS DID NOT WORK USING THE MASTER CONTROL SWITCH. *NJ THE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM, THE TRANSMITTER AND THE SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WERE ALL INOPERATIVE. *JB
I WAS DRIVING ON THE RIGHT LANE (THE SLOW LANE) OF THE FREEWAY, GOING AROUND 60-65 MPH. AROUND 4:45 P.M ON A CLEAR DAY, I NOTICED A WHITE SEDAN NEXT TO ME STARTING TO CHANGE LANES INTO MY LANE. IT DID NOT SEE MY CAR, BECAUSE I HAD TO VEER SLIGHT RIGHT TO AVOID BEING HIT BY THE CAR. MY CAR DID NOT HANDLE THE SUDDEN MOVE WELL AND IMMEDIATELY STARTED TO SWERVE LEFT AND RIGHT UNCONTROLLABLY FOR 1-2 SECONDS. I COULD NOT REGAIN CONTROL OF THE CAR EVEN THOUGH BOTH MY HANDS WERE ON THE STEERING WHEEL, TRYING TO STRAIGHTEN THE CAR. THE CAR THEN LOST COMPLETE CONTROL AND SWERVED/SPUN ALL THE WAY LEFT (IMAGINE MAKING A COMPLETE LEFT TURN ON THE FREEWAY), INTO THE 3RD LANE. IT CONTINUED GOING IN A COUNTER-CLOCKWISE DIRECTION UNTIL A WHITE VAN RAN INTO MY CAR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, STOPPING THE CAR IN A HEAD-ON COLLISION. THE AIR BAGS POPPED, SMOKE STARTED COMING FROM THE CAR. I WAS AMAZINGLY UNHURT FOR THE MOST PART. I TOOK MY HANDS OF THE STEERING WHEEL AND MANAGED TO OPEN THE DRIVER SEAT DOOR TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. THE FINAL POSITION OF THE CAR WAS FACING EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC. SEVERAL FIREFIGHTERS/PARAMEDICS ARRIVED AND PROCEEDED TO CLEAN UP THE DEBRIS SCATTERED AROUND THE ROADS AND PUSHED THE CAR TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. THE CAR INSURANCE COMPANY HIRED FORENSIC ENGINEERS TO RECONSTRUCT THE ACCIDENT AND INSPECT THE CAR FOR DAMAGES. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE WAS NOTHING CONCLUSIVE TO REPORT (ALTHOUGH THE FRONT ROTORS WERE SUSPECT). *TR
I HAVE HAD MY MAZDA 6 FOR 2 YEARS. TWO DAYS AGO, IT GOT VERY COLD, AND WHEN I DROVE THE NEXT DAY, I HEARD THIS SQUEAKY NOISE FROM THE STEERING COLUMN AND FROM THE SUSPENSION WHEN TURNING. NOT SURE WHAT PROBLEM IS, BUT IT SEEMED THAT ONCE THE ENGINE WAS WARM THE SQUEAKING WAS GONE. I DID CHECK THE POWER STEERING FLUID, AND IT WAS LOW, SO POWER STEERING FLUID WAS ADDED. ALSO ADDED BRAKE FLUID DUE TO IT WAS ALSO LOW. I HEARD PROBLEM SLIGHTLY THE DAY AFTER A LITTLE. HOPEFULLY THE POWER STEERING FLUID WILL SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IF IT PERSISTS, I WILL CALL THE DEALERSHIP. PLEASE ADVISE IF THERE HAS BEEN ANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS. MY CAR CURRENTLY HAS OVER 50,000 MILES, AND THIS IS THE FIRST SOUNDS I HAVE HEARD. *TR

THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THE HIGHWAY AND LOCAL ROADWAYS. NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE 26,000. *TR
MAZDA SEDAN6 PURCHASED 05/2007- CURRENT MILEAGE 2800- DISCOVERED OIL LEAK AT ENGINE REAR MAIN SEAL. SERVICE MGR OFFERED TO CORRECT PROBLEM. OIL LEAK NOT NOTICEABLE-OIL DROPPING ON UNDER ENGINE SHIELD AND COAGULATING. LOW MILEAGE MIGHT INDICATE PROBLEM EXISTED AT TIME OF MANUFACTURE. IF SO, REPLACEMENT OF VEHICLE IS PROPER ACTION ON PART OF MANUFACTURER/SELLER. *TR
MAZDA 6 SEDAN 2007 THIS CAR WAS PURCHASED IN OKLAHOMA OCT 2007 WITH 14,000 MILES & IS ON THE 2ND OWNER. WHICH IS ME. I AM IN A DISPUTE WITH MAZDA BECAUSE THE REAR SIDE AIR BAG IS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE GETS AN ON BOARD LAMP STATING THAT THE AIR BAG HAS BEEN DEACTIVATED. THE CAR HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP 11 TIMES SINCE 1ST OCCURANCE WAS DISCOVERED MAY 2008. I'M REQUESTING A BUY BACK/LEMON LAW. I AM GETTING DENIED BY THE DEALER & MAZDA. I HAVE CHILDREN & FEEL ALL SAFETY FEATURES SHOULD WORK. THE CAR NOW HAS 81K MILES & DEALER HAS NOT CHARGED ME FOR THIS AT ALL. BUT I FEEL IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE & SHOULD NOT BE ON THE ROAD. I HAVE ALL DOCUMENTS & IN THE PROCESS OF FILING THIS WITH BBB AUTOLINE. IF ANYONE WITH THIS AGENCY WOULD LIKE INFO LET ME KNOW. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD & UNFORTUNATE THAT THE DEALER/MANUFACTURER CAN TURN THEIR BACK ON THIS. THANKS *TR
CLUTCH VERY DIFFICULT TO OPERATE CAUSING FREQUENT STALLS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MAZDA SPEED 6. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE VEHICLE SHIMMIES AND HESITATES BEFORE VEHICLE ACCELERATION. ALSO THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT CONTROL PANEL. A TECHNICIAN FROM THE DEALER ADVISED HIM TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY OVER NIGHT TO DELETE THE ERROR CODE. SINCE THE BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. SINCE THE TECHNICIANS COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE, THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE A REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 30565.
THERE IS A REAR "CLUNK" NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS STARTING TO SHOW UP QUITE OFTEN AROUND MY 24,000 MILE MARK. AFTER SEARCHING FOR OTHERS THAT HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM, IT IS COMMON FOR THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNTING BRACKET SCREWS TO BACK OUT, GET SHEERED OFF, AND HAVE THE MOUNTING BRACKET BREAK CAUSING A FAILURE IN THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL THUS MAKING THE VEHICLE NOT DRIVABLE. *JB
MY 2007 MAZDA 6 WAS BOUGHT BACK IN JANUARY 07. MY PROBLEM COMES FROM THE STEERING COLUMN WHICH WAS MAKING A SMALL SOUND WHEN I PULL OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY BUT NOW IT'S GETTING WORST I HAVE NOT TAKEN IT BACK TO THE DEALER BECAUSE OF MY TIGHT SCHEDULE. *JB
2007 MAZDA6 WAGON WITH 1900 MILES ENGINE STALLED WHILE DRIVING IN GEAR AND UNDER LOAD AT APPROXIMATELY 3500 RPMS, ROUGHLY ONE MINUTE AFTER STARTUP. GAS TANK WAS 3/4 FULL, WEATHER WAS ABOUT 80F, 80% RH. WITH ENGINE STOPPED CAR WAS BROUGHT TO A STOP WITH BRAKES, TRANSMISSION PUT IN PARK, AND ENGINE RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY BY SWITCHING IGNITION TO ENGAGE STARTER MOTOR.*AK
PURCHASED BRAND NEW 07 MAZDA 6WITH 41 MILES ON IT ON JUNE 30, 2007. AS OF JULY 2, 2007 WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPT WITH ONLY 150 MILES. HEARD A RATTLE COMING FROM THE AREA OF THE CONVERTER, AND ALSO A HIGH PITCHED SPEALING COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AND ONLY IN REVERSE AND DRIVE AND WHEN THE VEHICLE GETS HOT. SERVICE DEPT. REPAIRED SOME SPRINGS AND A DOUGHNUT SEAL IN EXAUST PIPE GOING TO THE MANIFOLD. PICKED CAR BACK UP ON JULY 5, 2007 WITH NOW 170 MILES ON IT, DROVE HOME ABOUT 7 TO 8 MILES AND HEARD THE SAME RATTLING AND HIGH PITCHED SQUEALING, ONLY IT WAS WORSE, ALSO NOW THE VEHICLE FEELS LIKE IT'S SLUGGISH, AND NOTICED THAT WHILE DRIVING ONCE AGAIN BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPT. THAT DAY, WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING 55 MPH AND TRYING TO ACCEL, THE VEHICLE SHIFTS FROM 5TH DOWN TO 2ND AND THEN TRIES TO GO BACK UP, ALSO REDLINES WHILE TRYING TO ACCEL. JULY 6, 2007 CALLED SERVICE DEPT. THEY TOLD ME IT'S THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER, I ASKED ABOUT THE SHIFTING PROBLEM, THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T FEEL THE VEHICLE HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION. MY VEHICLE NOW HAS 225 MILES ON IT SINCE I LEFT IT. THE SERVICE DEPT. IS PUTTING ON MORE MILES THAN I AM, AND I HAVE A BRAND NEW CAR THAT I HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE 2 DAYS OUT OF 7.*AK
WHILE ON VACATION, 6/23/07, WITH APPROX. 400 MI ON MY 2007 MAZDA 6, I INITIALLY NOTICED SOME STEAM COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND A DISTINCT ODOR. SHORTLY THEREAFTER, MY CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND MY AT INDICATOR LIGHT APPEARED. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND NOTICED A POOL OF TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKING UNDER THE VEHICLE. I THEN CONTACTED THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST MAZDA DEALER. I WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION HAD A DEFECTIVE SEAL THAT LED TO THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND THEREFORE, LEAKED ALL TRANSMISSION FLUID. THE CAR WOULD NOW NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION INSTALLED. AT APPROXIMATELY 3000 MI ON THE VEHICLE, I NOTICED A HIGH PITCHED WHINE WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. IN ADDITION, THERE SEEMED TO BE A LAG IN SHIFTING. I CONTACTED THE DEALER TO INVESTIGATE THE PROBLEM AND BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN ON 9/6/07. I WAS NOTIFIED THAT 2 COMPONENTS IN THE DIFFERENTIAL FAILED; A DIFFERENTIAL SEAL AND A SOLENOID VALVE. MAZDA INSTALLED THE TWO COMPONENTS. THE SEAL WAS REPAIRED BUT THE SOLENOID VALVE INSTALL WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. THE DEALER CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INSTRUCTED TO INSTALL ANOTHER NEW TRANSMISSION. AS OF 9/18/07, THE DEALER SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED THE INSTALL TODAY AND WILL CONTACT ME WITH THE RESULTS. *JB

MY NEW MAZDA 6 HAS AN AUTOMATIC WINDOW CLOSE ON THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER SIDE THAT IS SUPPOSED TO REVERSE AUTOMATICALLY IF THERE IS AN OBSTRUCTION,E.G.FINGERS, BUT OFTEN IT JUST CLOSES WITH AN OBJECT IN THE WAY. *JB
