DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT RANDOMLY GOES OUT THAT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AT NIGHT WHEN DRIVING. *TR
THE DASHBOARD STARTED TO MELT A FEW MONTHS AGO, AROUND MAY. NOW THE DASHBOARD IS PERMANENTLY STICKY AND THERE IS A SMELL ARISING. IN ADDITION, DASHBOARD CREATES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD WHICH AFFECTS THE VISIBILITY WHILE DRIVING. IF YOU PLACE SOMETHING ON IT, THERE IS A BLACK RESIDUE THAT COMES OFF ALONG WITH IT. THE MELTED DASHBOARD IS SHINY AND STICKY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 6. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH, A LOUD BANGING NOISE EMITTED FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL WELL RUSTED AND CAUSED THE SUSPENSION TO FAIL. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.
MY WIFE COMPLAINED TO ME TODAY WHILE DRIVING THE MAZDA6 THERE WAS A GLARE COMING FROM THE DASH AREA RIGHT OVER THE PASSENGER AIRBAG. SHE TOUCHED IT AND IT WAS A SHINY STICKY DETERIORATION OF THE DASH ITSELF. YOU CANNOT TOUCH OR RUB OUT AS IT STICKS AND LEAVES A BLACK, STICKY GLUE ON YOUR FINGERS. LOOKED IT UP AND THERE ARE A GREAT MANY MAZDA OWNERS THAT SEEM TO SUFFER FROM THIS VERY SAME ISSUE...AND NOBODY IS GETTING SATISFACTION FROM MAZDA. 44K AND THE DASH IS MELTING?????? *TR
ENGINE OVERHEATED WHILE DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE IN TRAFFIC AT LOW SPEED WITH TEMPERATURE IN THE 80'S. THE ENGINE BLOCK CRACKED AS A RESULT. THE ENGINE AND THE COMPLETE COOLING FAN ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE HAD RISEN HIGH ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS BEFORE THIS, WHILE IDLING, DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS, AND DRIVING AT MODERATE AND HIGHWAY SPEEDS, TEMPERATURES RANGING FROM 50'S TO 90'S. WHEN THE OVERHEATING OCCURRED THE AIR CONDITIONING ALSO FAILED TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. I HAD COMPLAINED TO THE DEALERSHIP ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY CLAIMED IT WAS A FUSE. THEY REPLACED THE FUSE, BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE. *TR
THE PRESSURE OR HEAT COMING FROM MUFFLER BURNT BACK PART OF VEHICULAR I AM PAYING 1400.00 IN WIRE REPAIRS. AIR BAGS RECALL, SCARS ME DON'T HAVE ANOTHER CAR.THE PASSENGER DOOR AIR NOISE ESCAPING,MELTING DASH BOARD, ALARM SYSTEM GOES OF EVERYDAY UP TO 3TO 4 TIMES. TIRE PRESSURE, AND ENGINE LIGHT ON.
2 VALVE STEMS FROM THE TPMS SENSORS ARE LEAKING AIR. THAT PROVOKED AN INSTANT LOSS OF TOTAL AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES !!!! THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF IT HAPPENS ON THE INTERSTATE AT HIGH SPEEDS. IT SEEMS MAZDA HAS A SERVICE BULLETIN SB-02-001-12 BUT NOT A RECALL AT THIS TIME (MARCH 4 2015) FROM 4 TPMS SENSORS ON THE 2009 MAZDA 6, TWO (2) OF THEM FAILED ONE DAY AFTER ANOTHER. BOTH SENSORS FAILED AT THE VALVE STEM. HAD TO REPLACE ALL 4 SENSORS DUE TO BEING AFRAID THIS SUDDEN LOSS OF AIR PRESSURE COULD HAPPENED AT 60 MILES/H ON THE INTERSTATE. THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TPMS SENSORS IS CONTINENTAL AND THEY ALREADY HAVE A DIFFERENT PART # FOR THE SENSOR (CONTINENTAL VDI REDI-SENSOR SE10001HP-AZ). ALSO MAZDA HAS A DIFFERENT PART # FOR THE NEW SENSORS: BBM2-37-140B. I WAS SURPRISED HOW MAZDA DIDN'T ISSUE A RECALL BY NOW. I'VE SEEN PLENTY OF OTHER PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ON ONLINE FORUMS OR WEBSITES SPECIALIZED IN CAR ISSUES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD ON THE VEHICLE STARTED TO MELT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE OUTSIDE OF REPLACING THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 104,344.

DASHBOARD MELTING UNDER NORMAL DRIVING AND STORAGE CONDITIONS. THE DASHBOARD OF THIS VEHICLE IS OOZING A BLACK TACKY SUBSTANCE THAT SHIMMERS IN SUNLIGHT. THE SHIMMER IS REFLECTED INTO THE WINDSHIELD RESULTING IN AN UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITION. *TR
TAKATA RECALL- MY MAZDA MAZDA6 -2009 VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT ON IN JANUARY 2015. I WAS INJURED WITH BURNS IN MY WRIST FROM THE AIRBAG. I ALSO HAD TO GO THROUGH PT TO REGAIN MOVEMENT TO MY INJURED WRIST. THE VEHICLE WAS MOVING AND ANOTHER CAR CUT OUT IN FRONT OF US AND HIT MY CAR. I WAS NOT CITED IN THE POLICE REPORT THE OTHER PARTY WAS.
DASH OF VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER IS BEGINNING TO MELT. IN MELTING, THE DASH NOW HAS A GLOSS APPEARANCE THAT, IN THE SUN LIGHT, CREATES A GLARE WHILE DRIVING.
DRIVING ALONG AT APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH. TEMPERATURES OUTSIDE WAS ABOUT 15 DEGREES. TEMPERATURE INSIDE THE CAR WAS SET TO 70 DEGREES. SUDDENLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY, I HEARD AN EXPLOSION FROM OVERHEAD AS THE MOONROOF SHATTERED AND BLEW UPWARD AND OUT. AFTER THE INITIAL BLOWOUT, SHARDS OF GLASS FELL IN ON ME INSIDE THE MOVING VEHICLE. *TR
DASHBOARD IS MELTING; VERY STICKY TO THE TOUCH EVEN WHILE IN THE GARAGE.
MELTING, STICKING DASHBOARD CAUSING GLARE ON WINDSHIELD. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN ONGOING, AND IT IS ONLY WORSENING.
DASH BOARD MELTING AND BECOMES STICKY
THE ORIGINAL FACTORY BULBS OF THE TAIL LIGHT / BRAKE LIGHT ON BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDES OF MY 2009 MAZDA 6 TOURING ARE MELTING THE RED PLASTIC INSIDE THE LENS AND BECOMING DEFORMED. THIS IS CAUSING VISIBILITY ISSUES FOR VEHICLES BEHIND ME AS THE LIGHT IS SHINING THROUGH AS WHITE INSTEAD OF RED. THE EXTERIOR LENS IS NOT DAMAGED, JUST THE INTERIOR LENS CLOSEST TO THE BULBS. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED MY CAR AND NO RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DESIGN FLAW THAT COULD LEAD TO A FIRE AND REDUCED BRAKE LIGHT VISIBILITY FOR DRIVERS DRIVING BEHIND ME. *JS
THE PASSENGER DASH BOARD HAS MELTED (PASSENGER AIR BAG SIDE). ALSO AIR BAG LIGHT HAS TURNED ON SHOWING THAT THE (AIR BAG NOT ON). *TR
THE DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND THE MATE BLACK MATERIAL HAS BECOME STICKY AND SHINY CAUSING A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. *TR
DURING NORMAL USE, VALVE STEM BROKE HALFWAY DOWN THE STEM WHICH REQUIRED REPLACEMENT OF THE VALVE STEM AND TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ON THAT ONE WHEEL. *TR
THE PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD ABOVE THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT IS STARTING TO MELT. THERE IS A SHINY RESIDUE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT BECOMES VERY STICKY UPON CONTACT. THE AFFECTED AREA IS ALSO VERY SOFT TO TOUCH MUCH LIKE A CUSHION RATHER THAN THE TYPICAL HARD PLASTIC FEEL OF A TRADITIONAL DASHBOARD. *TR
THE DASHBOARD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IS MELTING. IT IS STICKY AND MAZDA REFUSES TO REPLACE IT. *TR
THERE HAVE BEEN PROBLEMS WITH OTHER MAZDA CARS THAT GOT RECALLED DUE TO A POSSIBLE FAULTY FUEL SHUT-OFF VALVE THAT COULD ALLOW GASOLINE TO ENTER THE FUEL TANK EMISSION SYSTEM. IF ENOUGH FUEL GETS INTO THE SYSTEM, IT CAN CAUSE THE ENGINE TO STALL. HOWEVER, THIS RECALL DID NOT COVER MY 2009 MAZDA 6 AND I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR HAS FAILED! THE ALARM ON MY MAZDA GOES OFF AT RANDOM PERIODS OF TIME. SOMETIMES ITS ONCE A WEEK AND SOMETIMES IS 5 TIMES A DAY OR NIGHT. I HAVE REVIEWED SEVERAL INTERNET FORUMS AND IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE NOT CREATED A COMPLAINT ON THIS WEBSITE. THE REMEDIES THAT THEY HAVE FOUND TO HAVE THE DEALER REPLACE A DOOR ACTUATOR THAT IS FAULTY. THIS DOOR ACTUATOR LOCKS THE DOORS AND IF WHEN IT FAILS TO PROPERLY LOCK THE DOOR IT WILL INTERMITTENTLY SOUND THE ALARM. THE ALARM IS NOT SO MUCH THE CONCERN AS MUCH AS THE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR. IT IF FAILS TO LOCK IT CREATES A SAFETY HAZARD FOR PEOPLE AS THEY ARE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE DOOR COULD ACCIDENTALLY BE OPENED. CHILDREN COULD OPEN THE DOOR AND FALL OUT OF THE CAR AS IT IS FAILING. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AS IT IS A SAFETY CONCERN. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR AT LEAST THE PAST 4-5 YEARS.
I HAVE NOTICED THAT MY DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND IS VERY GOOEY AND STICKY. IT IS NOW CREATING A VERY HAZARDOUS GLARE ON MY WINDSHIELD. THIS IS ONLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT IS ALSO EMITTING A VERY UNPLEASANT ODOR THAT I FEEL COULD BE TOXIC.I REALLY NEED TO KNOW WHAT CAN BE DONE BY THE MANUFACTURER TO FIX THIS PROBLEM BEFORE IT GETS WORSE OR MAY CAUSE SOMEONE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THE GLARE THAT IS NOW INTERFERING AND WE CANNOT GET A CLEAR VIEW OF WHAT'S IN FRONT OF US.
I RETURNED TO MY VEHICLE AFTER WORK AND THE VEHICLE WAS DEAD EXCEPT FOR THE REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY AND LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AND THERE WAS NO ACCESSORY OR ON POWER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL LOCK AND PUSH BUTTON START HAD MALFUNCTIONED. I WAS QUOTED A REPAIR BILL OF $1,660, WHICH INCLUDES MORE THAN $1,000 IN PARTS (PARTS NUMBERS GS3M-66-15XD AND GSYD-67-5DZG ). THESE ARE BASIC SYSTEMS THAT FAILED AFTER ONLY 31,000 MILES OF USE ON A VEHICLE THAT WAS MAINTAINED VERY WELL. *TR
DASH BOARD IS MELTING. I STARTED NOTICING 1 SIDE OF DASH WAS GETTING STICKY, THEN IT STARTED MELTING SLOWLY. IT CAUSES A VERY BAD GLARE AT TIMES AND MAKES IT HARD TO SEE. I HAVE CONTACTED MAZDA AND HAVE BROUGHT IT IN TO HAVE IT CHECKED AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY CONFIRMED IT WAS MELTING. THE MATERIAL USED ONE THE DASH IS DEFECTIVE. SINCE I AM OUT OF WARRANTY THE REPAIR COST IS ON ME? THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIAL. *TR
THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD (ONLY ON PASSENGER SIDE) MELTED AND BECAME VERY REFLECTIVELY SHINY AND STICKY. I ALMOST HIT A PEDESTRIAN CROSSING AT STOP LIGHT AS THE REFLECTED SUN GLARE BLINDED MY VIEW. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN ACTIVATED ALONG WITH THE DOOR ACTUATORS FAILING INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT USED THE KEY FOB TO TURN OFF THE ALARM BUT IT FAILED TO REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE DOOR ACTUATOR FOR THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR. HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO INDICATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AND THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE DOOR ACTUATORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.

WHILE CHECKING THE AIR PRESSURE IN A CUSTOMER'S CAR THE VALVE STEM BROKE CAUSING ALL AIR TO ESCAPE FROM THE TIRE AND NECESSITATING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW TPMS SENSOR. *TR
THE PASSENGER-SIDE DASHBOARD IS MELTING. IT IS STICKY TO THE TOUCH AND CAUSES A SHINY GLARE. *TR
DASHBOARD IS MELTING VEHICLE IS ALWAYS PARKED UNDER COVER AND OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT. MANUFACTURERS NOT ACKNOWLEDGING AS A DEFECT. *TR
MY PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD IS LITERALLY MELTING. MAZDA ADMITS TO HAVING PUT A DEFECTIVE PIECE IN MY MODEL VEHICLE HOWEVER WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND REPLACE THEIR FAULTY PIECE. THEY CLAIM IF IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD THERE WOULD BE A RECALL..WELL THERE NEEDS TO BE! I LIVE IN SOUTH FLORIDA AND THE SUN REFLECTING OFF OF THE DASH IS FLAT OUT BLINDING AND DANGEROUS NOT TO MENTION GOD KNOWS WHAT MATERIALS LEAKING INTO MY AIR VENTS THAT MY ENTIRE FAMILY IS BREATHING IN, BEING POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS. I DON'T THINK THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY ADMINISTRATION SHOULD ALLOW MAZDA SHOULD WAIT FOR ACCIDENTS TO OCCUR AND PEOPLE TO POTENTIALLY GET INJURED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ISSUE AND FULLY REPLACE THE DASH PIECE IN THE AFFECTED MODELS. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN CALLED TO THE ATTENTION OF THE PUBLIC IN NUMEROUS NEWS SEGMENTS AND ONLINE ARTICLES MEANING HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THEIR LIVES COULD BE IN DANGER. A RECALL NEEDS TO BE ISSUED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! *TR
DASH OF VEHICLE ON THE PASSENGER IS BEGINNING TO MELT. IN MELTING, THE DASH NOW HAS A GLOSS APPEAREANCE THAT, IN THE RIGHT LIGHT, CREATES A GLARE WHILE DRIVING. THIS CAN MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE OPERATOR TO SEE. *TR
DRIVING ON I-94 WEST,NEAR ANN ARBOR, MI. FELT VIBRATION, THEN LEFT REAR TIRE BLEW. MANAGED TO PULL TO THE SHOULDER AND CHANGED TIRE. INSPECTED DAMAGED TIRE AND NOTICED VALVE STEM AND SENSOR WERE MISSING. THE NEXT DAY CHECKED THE OTHER TIRES FOR PROPER INFLATION AND WHEN I TRIED TO REMOVE THE VALVE CAP FROM THE RIGHT REAR TIRE,IT BLEW OFF WITH THE CORE STEM AND THE TIRE WENT FLAT. HAD BOTH TIRES REPAIRED,NEW SENSORS AND TIRE. I HAD NEW TIRES INSTALLED ON 1-11-14 AND TWO SENSORS WERE CHANGED AT THAT TIME. SO THREE OUT OF THE FOUR SENSORS FAILED WITH ONE BLOWN TIRE . *JS
MY 2009 MAZDA 6 ALSO HAS A MELTING DASHBOARD, CAUSING A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD. *TR
THE DASH HAS DEVELOPED A GLOSSY SHEEN FROM THE DETERIORATION OF THE MATERIAL. DUE TO THE DETERIORATION, THE DASH CANNOT BE CLEANED AND OVER THE PAST YEAR THE AFFECTED AREA HAS GROWN. DUE TO THE GLOSSY NATURE OF THE AFFECTED AREA, LIGHT REFLECTS ONTO THE WINDSHIELD CAUSING REDUCED VISIBILITY. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL CLOSE CALLS WHEN TURNING AND THE CHANGE IN ANGLE OF THE SUNLIGHT AND THE RESULTING REFLECTION HAS PREVENTED THE DRIVER FROM SEEING OBJECTS IN THE PATH OF THE VEHICLE AS IT TURNS TO THE RIGHT INCLUDING PEDESTRIANS AND CARS ENTERING THE ROADWAY. THE INCIDENT OF CLOSE CALLS WILL INCREASE WITH THE INCREASE IN THE AFFECTED AREA OF THE DASH AND WILL BECOME INCREASINGLY DANGEROUS IF THE AFFECTED AREA SPREADS TO THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE DASH.
DASHBOARD IS MELTING AND IT CREATES A GLARE THAT REFLECTS ON THE WINDSHIELD MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO SEE AHEAD, ESPECIALLY ON SUNNY DAYS OR AT NIGHT. THOUGHT IT WAS AN ISOLATED CASE UNTIL DECIDED TO DO SOME RESEARCH ON IT, FINDING OUT IT IS HAPPENING TO PLENTY OF OTHER CONSUMERS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA 6. WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO REV WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 118,000.
I SEE SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ABOUT A MELTING DASHBOARD. THE DASHBOARD, ESPECIALLY ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS A SOFTISH MATERIAL THAT ALMOST MELTS WHEN PARKED IN OUTDOOR UNDER SUN EVEN FOR FEW MINUTES. IN SUCH A CONDITION IF I TOUCH THIS PART OF DASHBOARD IT CRUMBLES INTO PIECES. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO ALWAYS PARK UNDER ROOF AND THIS MATERIAL USED SEEMS TO BE OF VERY LOW QUALITY. COST OF FIXING IS UNKNOWN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA MAZDA6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE AND CHECK FUEL CAP WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT SPIDER WEBS WERE DEVELOPING IN THE FUEL AND CANISTER VENT LINES. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE WEBS NEEDED TO BE REMOVED, THE CANISTER VALVE AND THE CANISTER VENT LINES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V134000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 97,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 MAZDA MAZDA6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING 65 MPH, THE LOW TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE VEERED TO THE LEFT. AS A RESULT, THE TIRE BLEW. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIE ROD VALVES NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 88,000.
THE CAR'S ALARM SYSTEM WOULD BE TRIGGERED RANDOMLY. IN A PERIOD OF 3 WEEKS IT HAPPENED AROUND 15 TIMES. IT ENDED UP DRAINING THE CAR BATTERY ONCE. THE ALARM IS ON FOR FEW SECONDS AND THEN IT STOPS BY ITSELF. UPON TAKING IT TO THE MAZDA DEALER THEY SAID IT IS A PROBLEM WITH DOOR'S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE SWITCHES IN ALL 4 DOORS. THEY WERE ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, BUT I DOUBT IF IT IS RELATED TO THE RECALL THAT WAS MADE LAST SEPTEMBER FOR FIXING THE DOOR'S LATCH SYSTEM. THE DEALER HAD FIXED THE SAME JUST A BACK MONTH. *TR
AFTER A FEW YEARS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE THE DASHBOARD BECAME VERY STICKY. IN MAY OF 2015 THE DASHBOARD OVER THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG HAS BEGUN MELTING. THERE IS A SPOT ABOUT 2" IN DIAMETER THAT IS MELTED. IN ADDITION THE FOAM TAPE BETWEEN THE FRONT WINDSHIELD AND DASH CONTINUES TO COME UNDONE AND START COMING OFF. I HAVE REPLACED THIS FOAM TAPE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO AT A MAZDA DEALERSHIP AND IT HAS COME UNDONE AGAIN. I CURRENTLY LIVE IN ALABAMA AND I ALWAYS USE A SUNSCREEN.

MY DASH IS MELTING ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. IT'S ABOUT A 10 INCH SECTION. IT STICKY AND SOFT. IT RUBS OFF WHEN TOUCHED. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND IT APPEARS THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. I'M SURE THEY WILL CLAIM IT'S THE ARMOUR ALL BUT I USED THAT STUFF VERY RARELY AND IF IT WAS SOMETHING I HAVE APPLIED, IT WOULD BE MELTING ALL OVER. IT HAS TO BE A DEFECT ON MAZDAS PART. I DID EMAIL THEM BUT HAVEN'T HEARD BACK YET. *TR
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2009 MAZDA 6 IS MELTING. IT HAS BECOME EXTREMELY STICKY AND SHINY. THE CONDITION CAUSES A GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT CAN INTERFERE WITH VISIBILITY. IN ADDITION, THE DASHBOARD DETERIORATION IS CAUSING AN OILY FILM TO BUILD UP ON THE ENTIRE INSIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE FILM HAS TO BE CLEANED OFF FREQUENTLY AND IS VERY DIFFICULT TO COMPLETELY REMOVE. ORDINARY WINDOW CLEANERS JUST SMEAR IT. THE FILM INTERFERES WITH THE DRIVER'S ABILITY TO SEE IN AFTERNOON SUN. I CONTACTED MAZDA AND THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. AFTER I HAD IT DOCUMENTED AT THE DEALER, MAZDA AGREED TO PAY FOR THE PART BUT WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE COST OF THE LABOR, WHICH IS ESTIMATED AT APPROXIMATELY $500. *TR
I PURCHASED THE CAR AT DELRAY MAZDA IN 2011. I IMMEDIATELY PURCHASED A DASHMAT TO PROTECT THE DASHBOARD FROM CRACKING OR FADING. I SAW A SEGMENT ON THE NEWS ABOUT OTHER OWNERS OF MAZDA, NISSAN AND ETC. THAT HAS A CRACKING, STICKY DASHBOARD AS WELL. I WAS ADVISED TO CONTACT YOU. MY DASHBOARD IS STICKY UNDERNEATH THE DASHMAT AND IN THE AREA OF JUST ABOVE THE GLOVEBOX, THE DASH IS FALLING OFF IN CLUMPS. IT IS A BLACK CUSHIONY MATERIAL THAT IS FALLING APART AND ALSO CRACKING WHERE THE DASHMAT DOESN'T REACH. THE DASH IS ALSO VERY STICKY AS WELL. I WILL CONTACT THE DEALERSHIP AND MAZDA BUT WOULD LIKE THIS RESOLVED. *TR
