ALARM GOES ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE CAR IS PARKED. THIS STARTED IN FEBRUARY, 2020 AND HAS CONTINUED TO THE PRESENT. *TR
I WAS IN A CRASH WHERE MY FRONT END WAS EASILY DAMAGED AND PASSENGER AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYED
I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN MAY 2016 WITH 68K MILES ON IT. FIRST MONTH REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE THE DRIVERS SIDE WENT OUT. FIGURED OK NO PROBLEM NORMAL SITUATION, REPLACED BOTH DUE TO GOOD PRACTICE YOU DON'T JUST REPLACE ONE. FAST FORWARD 3 MONTHS LATER, THINK IT WAS ALMOST THANKSGIVING. IT WAS GETTING DARK, AND I FIGURED OK IT SEEMS WAY DARKER THAN IT SHOULD. I PULLED OVER TO REALIZE, I HAD NO HEADLIGHTS. I PROCEEDED UP THE ROAD TO WHERE I KNEW AN AUTOZONE WAS, AND PURCHASED A NEW SET OF SYLVANIA LONG LIFE BULBS, I THINK, I JUST KNOW THEY WERE EXPENSIVE, ABOUT $120. SO I WHIPPED OUT THE CREDIT CARD AND PURCHASED THEM ALONG WITH A SCREW DRIVER AND PLIERS AND PROCEEDED TO DESTROY MY NEW CARHART SWEATSHIRT LAYING IN THE PARKING LOT JAMMING MY ARMS IN THE WHEEL WELLS TO REPLACE THESE BULBS. YEAH THIS WAS REAL FUN CONSIDERING IT STARTED TO RAIN. ANYWAY, I WON THAT BATTLE, BUT LITTLE DID I KNOW I WAS GOING TO LOSE THE WAR! PLEASE SEE WORD DOCUMENT ATTACHED FOR REST OF THIS NIGHTMARE. I RAN OUT OF SPACE TRYING TO DESCRIBE IT HERE.
DASHBOARD BECAME STICKY AS IF MELTING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V717000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED AT CASCADE AUTO GROUP (4149 STATE RD, CUYAHOGA FALLS, OH 44223, (330) 929-1861); HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,464.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRAME WAS RUSTED AND THE ENTIRE VEHICLE WAS CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO MAZDA MALL OF GEORGIA (3546 GA-20, BUFORD, GA 30519, (678) 394-3085) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW FRAME NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,914.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V323000 (STRUCTURE, SUSPENSION); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. EICH MAZDA (1933 W DIVISION ST, ST CLOUD, MN 56301, (320) 251-1737) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I WAS ON A STREET IN THE CITY WAITING FOR THE LIGHT TO CHANGE. SUDDENLY I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR, THE CARD ACCELERATED HIMSELF. I TRY TO AND PUT BRAKE TO THE BOTTOM BUT ANYWAY I HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. MUCH OF THE FRONT OF MY CAR IS BROKEN. THE OTHER CAR WAS DAMAGED IN THE BACK OF THEIR CAR. THE POLICE MADE A REPORT OF WHAT HAPPENED.
SUBFRAME ON PASSENGER SIDE HAS RUSTED COMPLETELY THROUGH, EXPOSING A LOWER CONTROL ARM BOLT. THIS HAS OCCURRED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THERE IS A RECALL FOR 09/10 MAZDA 6. DON'T KNOW WHY THIS ISN'T EXPANDED TO COVER THIS MAZDA 6 MODEL AS I'M SURE THE SUBFRAME IS THE SAME THROUGHOUT.
I WAS DRIVING 40 MPH AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN I HEARD A LOUD NICE AND MY CAR WAS GOING TO THE RIGHT WHILE MY STEERING WHEEL WAS STRAIGHT, IN ORDER TO DRIVE STRAIGHT I HAD TO TURN MY STEERING WHEEL TO THE LEFT. WHILE I MADE TURNS I WOULD HERE LOUD NOISES. ALSO MY TRACTION LIGHT TURNED ON AND THE BREAKS WERE NOT WORKING WELL WHICH MADE ME SLIDE AND CAUSED THE TIRES TO SPIN WHEN ACCELERATING AND THAT'S WHEN I PULLED OVER TO A SAFE SPOT AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE CAR SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THE WHOLE SUB FRAME WAS RUSTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
MY MAZDA 6 INTERIOR DASH IS MELTING IN 74 DEGREE WEATHER IN VA. THE DASH IS MELTING AND MAKING A STICKY MESS THAT MAY CAUSE A GLARE ON WINDSHIELD WHILE DRIVING. CAR IS STATIONARY.
THE REAR SUBFRAME HAS EXCESSIVE RUST AND MECHANIC REPORTED IT WOULD NOT PASS YEARLY INSPECTION UNLESS REPLACED. FRONT SUBFRAME HAD THE SAME PROBLEM IN 2019 AND WAS REPLACED THROUGH MAZDA RECALL. MECHANIC REPORTS THE REAR SUBFRAME HAS THE SAME EXACT NATURE OF RUST.
FRONT SUSPENSION SUBFRAME IS COMPLETELY RUSTED DISABLING THE VEHICLE AND MAKING IT UNSAFE FOR OPERATION. COMPLETE SUBFRAME WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE SEVERITY OF RUST AND CORROSION BEFORE VEHICLE CAN BE OPERATIONAL AGAIN.
MAZDA WILL ONLY REPLACE DASHBOARDS FOR MELTING AND STICKY DASHBOARDS. THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE MATERIAL USED. THEY WILL NOT REPLACE DASHBOARDS THAT ARE CRACKING . MY CONCERN IS THE CRACKING IS OVER PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I FELL THIS COULD BE A PROBLEM. THE AIRBAG SHOULD NOT BE COMPROMISED AND CONTAINED IN A FAULTY CRACKED DASH. I BELIEVE TOYOTA AND LEXUS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BUT THEY OWED UP TO IT AND REPLACED DASHBOARDS THAT WERE MELTING AND CRACKING. MAZDA REFUSES.
WHILE DRIVING TO WORK ON 290 IN THE MORNING TRAFFIC DOING SPEEDS AROUND (30-50MPH) THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN PROGRESSIVELY ROTATING COUNTER-CLOCKWISE WITH THE VEHICLE PULLING DRASTICALLY TO THE RIGHT. THE DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL TURNED OFF AS IF THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF CONTROL AND THE VEHICLE ACTED AS IF IT WERE ON ICY/SLICK SURFACES NO LONGER PROVIDING SUPPORT TO THE DRIVER. THE STEERING/BRAKING SYSTEM BEGAN TO STRUGGLE NEARLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT ON THE EXPRESSWAY CAUSING A FISHTAIL WITH THE ABS ATTEMPTING TO ENGAGE. AT THIS POINT THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REGISTERING STRAIGHT’ WITH THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED APPROXIMATELY 90 DEGREES LEFT. THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE EXPRESSWAY AND PULL INTO A JUST TIRES SHOP, WHO INFORMED ME THE FRONT SUBFRAME HAS RUSTED COMPLETELY THRU AND EVEN TWISTED DUE TO THE CORROSION. NOW MY 2011 MAZDA6 IS NOT DRIVABLE AND HOPEFULLY NHTSA WILL FORCE MAZDA TO DO A RECALL FOR SUBFRAMES BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED IN AN ACCIDENT.

(3476 PARK AVE, PADUCAH, KY 42001, (270) 444-0011) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
FRAME/ENGINE CRADLE HAS HOLE NEXT TO LOWER CONTROL ARM DUE TO RUST.
ON OCTOBER 2, 2018, DURING THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED 6-MONTH MAINTENANCE AND OIL CHANGE, MECHANIC AT MAZDA DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME OF SEVERE CORROSION ON FRONT AND REAR SUB FRAMES. SERVICE DIRECTOR NOTIFIED ME THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO ME DUE TO SAFETY ISSUE AND HE WAS GOING TO CONTACT MAZDA CORPORATE ON MY BEHALF. ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 5, 2018, DEALERSHIP NOTIFIED ME THAT MAZDA WAS GOING TO REPAIR IT AT NO CHARGE TO ME. I WAS CONTACTED AGAIN TODAY OCTOBER 9, STATING THAT MY VEHICLE PASSED THE INITIAL INSPECTION TEST, THERE IS NO PERFORATION DEVELOPED FROM CORROSION, THE CAR IS SAFE TO DRIVE AND I SHOULD COME OVER TO PICK IT UP. AFTER LENGTHY DISCUSSION EXPRESSING ALL MY SAFETY CONCERNS (PLUS THE FACT THAT THERE ARE CURRENTLY MORE THAN 30 REPORTS INVESTIGATED WITH THE SAME ISSUE), MAZDA AGREED TO REPLACE IT AT GOODWILL. I REALLY HOPE NHTSA CAN CREATE A PRESSURE ON MAZDA TO START THE RECALL, BECAUSE THERE ARE NUMEROUS DRIVERS OF EFFECTED MODELS THAT DO NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MAZDA 6. THE CONTACT STATED THE MAIN WIRE HARNESS ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE BURNED OUT AND THE VEHICLE SHOOK WHEN BEING DRIVEN. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THE BURNT WIRE HARNESS COULD CAUSE A FIRE OR CAUSE THE AIR BAGS TO DEPLOY ON THEIR OWN. THE DEALER (BAKERSFIELD MAZDA, 3201 CATTLE DR, BAKERSFIELD, CA 93313) STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 58,000.
THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ENGINE CRADLE ROTTED AWAY, CAUSING THE RIGHT LOWER CONTROL ARM TO BREAK AWAY AND LOOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS ONLY GOING APPROX. 15 MPH ON A SIDE STREET AND APPLYING THE BRAKES WHEN THIS ACCORDED. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAVE APPROX. 85K MILES ON IT.
VEHICLE HAS A 3.7L V6 DURATEC ENGINE DESIGNED BY FORD. I WAS ENTERING THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55MPH, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON, THEN VEHICLE SHUT OFF, AND I LOST BOTH POWER AND STEERING. WAS ABLE TO GET TO SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT CRASHING. STEAM/SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE HOOD AND THE TEMP GAUGE WAS PINNED AT H. DEALERSHIP ADVISED THAT COOLANT HAD GOTTEN MIXED WITH OIL AND ENGINE WAS DESTROYED. COST TO REPAIR - $7400 USED $13K NEW ENGINE. TOLD IT WAS NOT DUE TO ANY NEGLECT OR MAINTENANCE ISSUE. IT WAS A WATER PUMP FAILURE. THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW IN THIS ENGINE. THE WATER PUMP IS INTEGRATED INTO THE ENGINE AND TIMING CHAIN. WHEN THE PUMP FAILS IT DAMAGES THE ENGINE, ALLOWING COOLANT TO MIX WITH THE OIL. NUMEROUS FORD AND MAZDA OWNERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM BUT BECAUSE IT USUALLY HAPPENS AT OR AFTER 100K MILES THE MANUFACTURERS DO NOT REPORT IT. THEY WILL ALSO DO NOTHING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER WHO IS LEFT WITH A HUGE REPAIR BILL OR A TOTALED CAR. PLEASE HELP ME AND OTHER OWNERS. I HAVE RESEARCH WITH THE NAMES OF OTHER OWNERS WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR FORD OR MAZDA.
WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 70MPH AND APPLIED BREAKS, HEARD A BANG FROM AREA OF PASSENGER FRONT SIDE AND LOST CONTROL OF THE STEERING OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING IT SWERVE INTO THE ADJACENT LANE ON MY RIGHT. I NARROWLY AVOIDED BEING HITTING AND BEING HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES AND WAS ABLE GET THE CAR TO THE SHOULDER EVENT WITHOUT HAVING PROPER CONTROL STEERING AS THE CAR WOULD ONLY STEER TO THE RIGHT. UPON INSPECTING THE VEHICLE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BANG WAS THE PASSENGER SIDE SUBFRAME CRACKING DUE TO HEAVY DETERIORATION FROM RUST. THE CAR IS UNDERIVABLE. I CONTACTED MAZDA AND DISCOVERED THAT THE PREVIOUS YEARS OF THIS MODEL HAVE A RECALL FOR THIS SUBFRAME DETERIORATION ISSUE FOR THE SAME EXACT PART #. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT THE CAR CANNOT BE FIXED AS BECAUSE OF THE PART # IS NOT AVAILABLE AND HAS/IS ON BACKORDER FOR MANY MONTHS. THIS DEFECT IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK, IN MY CASE I AM VERY LUCKY THIS DID NOT RESULT IN FATAL ACCIDENT TRAVELING AT 70MPH ON INTERSTATE 80. I FEAR OTHER MIGHT NOT BE SO LUCKY. THE SUBFRAME RECALL MOST CERTAINLY NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED TO AT LEAST 2011 AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS THAT USE THIS SAME SUBFRAME. ADDITIONALLY, AT MINIMUM COURTESY TO IT CUSTOMERS MAZDA SHOULD BE ALTERING ITS CUSTOMERS TO HAVE THEIR SUBFRAMES INSPECTED AS THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WITH MANY VEHICLE OWNERS UN AWARE THEY ARE DRIVING TICKING TIME BOMBS WITH SUBFRAMES THAT ARE DETERIORATING PREMATURELY AND CAN LOSE CONTROL OF STEERING AT ANY MOMENT.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 55 MPH I HEARD A LOUD NOICE AND THE CAR SUDDENLY STARTED TO SWERVE, THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT. I WAS ABLE TO SLOW DOWN AND PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TO A PARKING LOT. DURING THE RIDE AT A MUCH SLOWER SPEED AROUND 20-25 VERY LOUD NOISES CAME FROM THE RIGHT FRONT OF THE CAR ESPECIALLY,WHEN THE THE WHEEL WAS TURNED. THE VEHICLE IS NOT DRIVABLE AND HAD TO BE TOWED. THE SUB FRAME RUSTED OUT AND THE LOWER CONTROL ARM PUSHED THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE INTO THE BACK OF THE WHEEL WELL.
RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING DOWN A STRAIGHT ROAD ABOUT 35 MPH MY STEERING STARTED TO FAIL IN ORDER TO KEEP THE CAR GOING STRAIGHT THE WHEEL HAS TO BE TURNED TO THE LEFT AND HELD IN PLACE. THE INDICATOR LIGHTS CAME ON THAT MY BRAKE ASSIST SYSTEM IS OFF/FAILING. THE CAR SLIGHTLY JERKS TO THE RIGHT WHEN TRYING TO STAY GOING STRAIGHT. THERE WAS NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR WHEN TURNING AND GOING IN REVERSE. UPON INSPECTION FOR THE BODY SHOP THE SUBFRAME IS PREMATURELY ROTTING AND THAT IS WHY I LOST PROPER STEERING ALONG WHY THE OTHER ISSUES OCCURRED TOO. THE CAR IS INOPERABLE AND THE SUBFRAME IS NOT HOLDING AS IT SHOULD
I AM WRITING THIS LETTER BECAUSE I RECENTLY LEARNED ABOUT A SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY CAR DURING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE ON THURSDAY, JULY 19, 2018. I WAS MADE AWARE BY THE MECHANIC THAT THE SUBFRAME ON MY 2011 MAZDA6 IS COVERED IN RUST AND SHOULD BE REPLACED. UPON TRUSTED INSPECTIONS FROM TWO DIFFERENT AUTO SHOPS, THE RESULT IS THE SAME: I NEED A NEW SUBFRAME BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS IF IT BROKE AWAY. I BOUGHT MY CAR NEW IN 2011, SO I AM SHOCKED THAT A MAJOR STRUCTURAL COMPONENT OF MY CAR IS NOW COMPROMISED, PUTTING MY SAFETY AT RISK. THE SUBFRAME IS ON NATIONWIDE BACK ORDER, WHICH TELLS ME (AND BOTH MECHANICS ECHOED EACH OTHER) THAT THIS IS A MUCH BIGGER PROBLEM. MY DAILY COMMUTE TO MY JOB HAS ME DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, AT 70 MPH, AT A TOTAL OF APPROXIMATELY 80 MILES PER DAY. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE WHEN DRIVING MY CAR. I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND DISCOVERED MAZDA HAD OVER 20 REPORTS FROM OWNERS WHO SAY RUST IN THEIR 2009-2010 MAZDA 6S HAS CAUSED, OR NEARLY CAUSED, A STEERING FAILURE. THIS EXTENDED EVEN FURTHER INTO OTHER MODEL MODELS FOR SUBFRAME ROT DEEMED DANGEROUS. IN 2016, MAZDA HAD TO RECALL 190,000 CX-7S FOR A SIMILAR ISSUE WHEREIN CORROSION WAS CAUSING SUSPENSION FAILURE. DAYS LATER, 2.2 MILLION MAZDAS WERE RECALLED WORLDWIDE. I CALLED MAZDA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE, BUT THEY DECLINED TO HELP ME BECAUSE 'I DIDN'T CONTINUE MY RELATIONSHIP WITH MAZDA", AFTER MY WARRANTY WAS UP. HOWEVER, WHILE UNDER WARRANTY, I ONLY TOOK MY CAR TO MAZDA FOR SERVICE BECAUSE I KNEW I HAD TO DUE TO THE WARRANTY, DESPITE THEIR COMPLETE INCOMPETENCE. DURING THE TIME MY CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS SERVICED AT MAZDA, THEY INSTALLED MY DRIVER'S WINDSHIELD WIPER BACKWARDS. IT POPPED OFF THE NEXT DAY DURING A DOWNPOUR. TWO TIMES THEY DIDN'T CLOSE MY HOOD FULLY (ONCE LEFT OIL CAP ON TOP OF MY ENGINE). FOR THESE REASONS, I SOUGHT OUT A MORE RELIABLE MECHANIC AFTER WARRANTY.
PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD IS GETTING A STICKY SURFACE ON TOP. THE TOP LAYER ALMOST SEEMS LIKE IT IS MELTING. IT IS JUST STARTING TO GET STICKY AND IT IS JUST ON TOP. THE STICKINESS HAS JUST STARTED IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. THE STICKY SURFACE IS CAUSING A GLARE AND IS AFFECTING THE VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING. FURTHER, THE DASHBOARD CRACKED ALL THE WAY DOWN AFTER HAVING THE AIR BAG REPLACED DUE TO THE RECALL. NO PRESSURE/DAMAGE/HITS HAS OCCURRED ON THE DASHBOARD BY CONSUMER AND YET IT CRACKED ALL THE WAY DOWN IN JANUARY 2018.
TAKATA RECALL :I HAVE A MAZDA 6 2011 2.5V AND THE DRIVER SIDE LOW BEAM LIGHT GOES OUT EVERY SINGLE NIGHT I DRIVE AND I HAVE TO TAP IT REALLY HARD TO BRING IT BACK ON AND I SAW THOUSANDS OF COMMENTS REGARDING THIS ISSUE FROM MAZDA 6 2011-2013 OWNERS IN SOCIAL MEDIA
HAVE TO REPLACE BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS EVERY YEAR. NOW SOMETHING HAS BURNED OUT OR MELTED AND A SIMPLE BULB REPLACEMENT WILL NOT FIX THE CONSTANT REOCCURRING ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE'S CAR ALARM GOES OFF AT RANDOM TIMES. GENERALLY IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN ONLY IN WARMER WEATHER AND/OR ONLY IF THE KEY FOB IS WITHIN A CERTAIN DISTANCE. SO FAR CHANGING BATTERIES IN BOTH THE CAR AND THE KEY FOB HAVE NOT CHANGED ANYTHING. THERE APPEARS TO BE FLAW IN THE DOOR MECHANISMS THAT MAKE THE CAR THINK SOMEONE IS BREAKING IN DUE TO LOSS OF CONTACT WHEN THE CAR HAS BEEN LOCKED. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS PARKED AND LOCKED BY ANY METHOD. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN IF THE VEHICLE IS LET UNLOCKED OR IN COOLER TEMPERATURES. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN ONGOING FOR THE PAST THREE YEARS.

THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT BULBS GO OUT AFTER LESS THAN A YEAR. SOMETIMES THEY WILL START WORKING AFTER HITTING THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CAR.

TAKATA RECALL. I LIVE IN THE HUMID HOT SOUTH IN TEXAS. THOUGH MAZDA IS WELL AWARE OF THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR AND THE FACT THAT HUMID CONDITIONS WORSENS THE PROBLEM, THEY HAVE NO PLANS IN PLACE AT THIS TIME TO FIX THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE CONTACTED OUR LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND THEY WILL NOT EVEN OFFER A LOANER OR RENTAL CAR. IN THE MEANTIME, I AM DRIVING AROUND WITH A TICKING TIME BOMB CARTING YOUNG CHILDREN TO SCHOOL. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT THIS IS TAKING SO LONG. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO SPEED UP THE RECALL AND REPAIR PROCESS.

TAKATA RECALL MY SON'S 2011 VEHICLE HAS A TAKATA AIRBAG IN THE PASSENGER SIDE. ACCORDING TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY CAN NOT REPLACE IT AT THIS TIME AS THERE IS NOT A FORMAL RECALL. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. THEY KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM. THE WEBSITE SAYS IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. A RECALL SHOULD BE DONE ASAP ON ALL AIRBAGS YOU KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH. IS IT OK THAT THE AIRBAG KILLS A PASSENGER?
CURRENTLY, I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT DASHBOARD FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS. THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY DASH BOARD IS MELTED. APPARENTLY IT IS A FACTORY DEFECT IN MY MODEL CAR. TWO YEARS AGO THE DEALERSHIP TOOK PICTURES, SENT IN THE CLAIM, AND I STARTED WAITING. SINCE THEN I HAVE RECEIVED AT LEAST TWO LETTERS TO UPDATE ME TO THE FACT THAT THE PART STILL IS NOT AVAILABLE. SO I CONTINUE TO DRIVE AROUND WITH A MELTED DASH BOARD, WHICH BY THE WAY IS A STICKY MESS. NOW, AS IF TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, I HAVE RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT MY PASSENGER AIR BAG INFLATOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. YET AGAIN, THE PART IS UNAVAILABLE AND I WILL SOMEDAY RECEIVE NOTIFICATION WHEN THE PART IS AVAILABLE. EVEN MORE OUTRAGEOUS IS THAT THE LETTER SAYS, "UNTIL THIS REPAIR IS PERFORMED, DO NOT ALLOW PASSENGERS TO RIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. IT HAS BEEN MONTHS AND STILL NO LETTER CONCERNING THE PART BEING CORRECTED.
TAKATA RECALL - I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT AIR BAG FOR MY MAZDA 6. MY CAR WAS PART OF THE ORIGINAL RECALL LAST SUMMER. IT'S BEEN 8 MONTHS NOW, AND THE PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED A RECALL LETTER THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING AND ADVISED ME THAT I SHOULD NOT USE THE PASSENGER SEAT BECAUSE IF THE AIR BAG DEPLOYED IT COULD SERIOUSLY INJURE OR KILL ME. THIS RECALL IS REALLY PUTTING ME AT A DISADVANTAGE. I ONLY HAVE 1 CAR. I CAN'T AFFORD TO BUY ANOTHER ONE, AND I FEEL UNSAFE IN THIS CAR. NOT ONLY DO I NOT FEEL SAFE IN MY OWN CAR, MY SON HAS HIS DRIVING PERMIT, AND I'M NOT ABLE TO TEACH HIM HOW TO DRIVE BECAUSE I CAN'T USE THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE TO COMPENSATE THOSE OF US THAT ARE FORCED TO DEAL WITH A CAR RECALL WHICH IS CAUSING DISRUPTIONS TO OUR DAILY ROUTINE AND DELAYING BASIC LIFE LESSONS FROM OCCURRING LIKE STUDENT DRIVER'S EDUCATION.
