I WAS TRAVELING DOWN ROSWELL ROAD AND A 2009 CHEVY SUBURBAN HIT THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY VEHICLE. MY CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET GOING STRAIGHT. THE SUBURBAN WAS MAKING A LEFT OUT OF A COMPLEX AND DID NOT SEE MY CAR IN FRONT OF HIM AND HIT MY PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. I HAVE ATTACHED PHOTOS. WONDERING WHY MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY BASED ON THE IMPACT. LUCKILY, NO ONE WAS SITTING AT THE BACK OF THE CAR, THOUGH, MY SISTER WAS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THEIR INFORMATION WAS PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
BANK IN 2017 THE SRS AIRBAG SAFETY LIGHT COMES ON AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT. THIS WAS A RECALL. I WAITED UNTIL LATE 2018 WHEN THE AIR BAGS CAME INTO THE MERCEDES DEALER IN ANNAPOLIS TO REPLACE FOR RECALL. AFTER THAT THE SRS AIRBAG SAFETY LIGHT STILL COMES ON. WE TAKE IT BACK TO MERCEDES FOR THEM TO CHECK AND CLEAR. THEY SAY IT WAS DONE. SAME LIGHT COMES BACK ON. WE TAKE IT BACK TO MERCEDES TODAY 2/25/2020 AND THEY SAY ITS A SAFETY FAULTY SEAT BELT SWITCH. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $1100 TO REPAIR. I TOLD THEM THEY SHOULD HAVE FIXED EVERYTHING PROPERLY AND I STILL BELIEVE THAT THEY JUST NEVER RESET OR CLEARED THE SRS AIRBAG ALERT LIGHT SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY SOME BOGUS MADE UP REPAIR. I BELIEVE THAT WE ARE BEING TREATED UNFAIRLY AND THAT THIS DEALER IS BEING DISHONEST. THE SRS AIRBAG LIGHT WAS NOT RESET AND IT IS STILL ON. HELP?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
VEHICLE PARKED AND LOCKED IN FRONT MY HOUSE. WHEN ATEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT UNLOCK. I TRIED TWO DIFFERENT KEY TO START THE VEHICLE, BUT STILL THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT UNLOCK. THERE IS NO WARNING LIGHT. MERCEDES BENZ ROADSIDE ASSISTANT WAS CALLED, AND THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALER. THEN, DEALER CONFIRMED THAT STEERING LOCK MODULE IN THE COLUMN HAS FAILED AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACE, AND WILL COST $1100 PARTS, LABOR, AND TAX TO GET IT DONE EVEN WHEN I HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT WAS SAID THAT THE SERVICE CONTRACT IS A NAMED COMPONENT WARRANTY AND THIS COMPONENT IS NOT ON THE LIST, SO IT IS NOT COVERED. THE VEHICLE IS NOW IN AT THE MERCEDES BENZ DEALER AND IS BEING WORKED ON.

THE CONTACT OPENED THE TRUNK AND NOTICED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE WAS IN FLAMES AROUND THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS PRESENT, BUT NO REPORT WAS FILED. THE TAIL LIGHT ASSEMBLIES WERE REPLACED APPROXIMATELY FOUR YEARS AGO PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL BY MERCEDES-BENZ OF SOUTH ORLANDO IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA. HOWEVER, THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED FOR THE RECENT FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 113,000.
AFTER A FEW YEARS OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE FOLLOWING STOPPED WORKING CAUSING DIFFICULTY DRIVING THE VEHICLE ABS/EPS INOPERATIVE CRUISE CONTROL INOPERATIVE
The contact owns a 2008 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that the exterior headlights and taillights would independently illuminate while idle without warning. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where a camera was placed on the vehicle for four days; however, the failure did not occur while in the mechanic's possession. While the contact stated that the failure was intermittent, the failure had become more frequent recently. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
MY CAR WOULD NOT START... NOTHING WHEN THE I TURN THE KEY INTO THE ON POSITION . THE BATTERY WAS CHECKED AND WAS GOOD. THIS HAPPED SEVERAL TIMES OVER MONTHS BUT TWICE THE CAR STARTED AFTER SITTING MAYBE 8 HOURS. THIS HAPPENED A THIRD TIME A FEW MONTHS LATER. I WAS STRANDED AND ENDED UP HAVING THE CAR TOWED HOME. I TRIED STARTING IT THE NEXT DAY ..NOTHING. MY AUTHORIZED MERCEDES REPAIR SHOP INFORMED ME THAT IT WAS THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION MODULE. I WAITED 2 WEEKS FOR THE PART. COST WAS $1600. JUST A NOTE... I OCCASIONALLY HEARD A FAINT NOISE LIKE A MOTOR RUNNING INSIDE OF MY CAR WHENEVER I TURNED THE IGNITION OFF FOR A COUPLE YEARS BUT DID NOT THINK IT WAS ANY THING TO BE CONCERNED BUT APPARENTLY THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A SIGN OF A FAILING PART.
I CANNOT SEEM TO GET MY AIRBAG FIXED EVEN WITH THIS RECALL IN PLACE. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST?
STEERING WHEEL LOCKS WITHOUT WARNING, SHUTTING OFF CONTROL TO THE VEHICLE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND THE GEAR SHIFT. PROBLEM OCCURS WITHOUT WARNING AND CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS AS WELL AS LEAVE YOU STRANDED WITHOUT AWAY OF STARTING YOUR CAR OR DRIVING IT SAFELY.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 118,000.
FIRE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STATIONARY AND DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MADE A SERIES OF INDISTINCT GRINDING NOISES AND THE STEERING FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE SERPENTINE HYDRAULIC BELT WAS REPLACED IN FEBRUARY OF 2018. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REPLACED THE SERPENTINE HYDRAULIC BELT A SECOND TIME. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INDISTINCT GRINDING NOISES CONTINUED. ON AUGUST 24, 2018 THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BENZEL-BUSCH MOTOR CAR (28 GRAND AVENUE, ENGLEWOOD, NEW JERSEY, (201) 567-1400) AS THE SUNROOF HAD BECOME INOPERATIVE. THE DEALER WAS ABLE TO CLOSE THE SUNROOF. HOWEVER, THE WORK ORDER STATUS FORM STATED THAT THE DEALER CHECKED FOR NOISE AND REMOVED THE OCP, INSPECTED CABLES FOR DAMAGE, AND ASSESSED MECHANICAL CABLES TO MAKE SURE THEY DID NOT SLIP WHILE DRIVING. IN ADDITION, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIR BAG WERE REPLACED, AS STATED BY THE WORK ORDER FROM THE DEALER. THEREAFTER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ESP WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CRUISE CONTROL BECAME DISABLED AND THAT THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE FORWARD WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THREE WEEKS LATER THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INDISTINCT GRINDING NOISES RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF NANUET (99 NY-304, NANUET, NEW YORK 10954 (845) 624-1500) WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT OIL HAD LEAKED FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE AND THAT THERE WAS A POTENTIAL FIRE RISK. THE WORK ORDER REPAIR FORM STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN WAS FAULTY, AS WELL AS THE AXLE BOOST. THE DEALER REPLACED BELT TENSIONERS AND IDLER PULLEYS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,412. *DT*JB *DT CONSUMER STATED VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS AND AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY. *JB
THIS ISSUE SURFACED WHILE DRIVING AND BRAKES WHERE APPLIED. LOST BREAKING DUE TO CORROSION PERFORATING REAR BRAKE LINES CAUSING BREAK FLUID TO LEAK AND TOTAL LOSS OF BREAKING. THIS IS A 2008 C CLASS 4MATIC SPORT WHERE BOTH REAR BRAKE LINES FEEDING FROM THE ABS MODULE TO THE REAR CALIPERS WERE TOTALLY RUSTED AND CAUSED THE CAR TO LOOSE ALL BRAKING. BRAKE LINES RUSTED MOSTLY WHERE THEY ARE ATTACHED TO THE FRAME UNDER THE CAR DUE TO SUB PAR QUALITY OF THE METAL USED AND MOISTURE TRAPPED BETWEEN THE BRACKET AND THE BRAKE LINE. I OWN TWO OTHER CARS THAT ARE 22 YEARS OLD WITH NO RUST ON THE BRAKE LINES AND DRIVEN IN THE SAME EXACT ENVIRONMENT AS THIS MB C300. REPAIR COST AT AN INDEPENDENT SHOP RAN $1600.
TAKATA RECALL IN JANUARY 2018 I RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM MERCEDES BENZ STATING THAT MY VEHICLE WAS PART OF PRIORITY GROUP 5 AND MY TAKATA AIRBAGS (DRIVER & FRONT PASSENGER) WOULD BE CORRECTED BY JUNE 30, 2018. IT IS NOW LATE OCTOBER 2018 AND I STILL CANNOT GET THIS RECALL RECTIFIED.
The tail left bulb mount carrier part Number 204-820-15-00-64, one of the terminal in the back, is corroded. Also, one of the cable is burnt. In short, the tail lamp doesn’t work. It is a hazard problem since it affects the brake signaling, turning signaling and all other tail lamps signaling. For many years, I have read many incidents like this reported from owners like me and Mercedes has done nothing. I cannot use the vehicle in this condition because it is is a safety hazard.
WHY DIDN'T THE DEALER TELL ME THIS WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR? ACCORDING TO WWW.AIRBAGRECALL.COM, IT WAS 2 RECALLS ON THE AIR BAGS LAST YEAR 2016, SO THEY KNEW IT WAS A RECALL. I COULD OF HAD AND ACCIDENT AND BEEN HURT REAL BAD. I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE MERCEDES DEALER AND PRESTIAGE AUTO IN RHODE ISLAND. I WILL BE TAKING FURTHER ACTIONS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY STOP WORKING WHILE I AM DRIVING.
TAKATA RECALL MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS AN ACTIVE RECALL FOR THE AIRBAGS, AFTER BEING INSTRUCTED TO CONTACT A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE PROBLEM FIXED, I CONTACTED MERCEDES BENZ OF JACKSON. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS IN AT THAT TIME, WHICH I UNDERSTAND. I ASKED IF THEY COULD ORDER THE PARTS AND WAS TOLD NO AND THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THAT THEY COULD DO FOR ME. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT IF MY CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE PART, THE DEALERSHIP IS TO GET THE PART TO FIX IT. BEING TOLD "THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO FOR YOU IS NOT WHAT I NEEDED TO HEAR, KNOWING THAT I AM DRIVING AROUND IN A CAR WITH A BAD AIRBAG.

DRIVERS SIDE REAR TAILLIGHT ISSUES; BROWN GROUND WIRE SHORTED OUT AND MELTED CONNECTOR PLUG AND SHORTED OUT LAMP ASSEMBLY .

TAKATA RECALL - RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF RECALL & NOTICE OF TK HOLDINGS INC. CHAPTER 11 CASE NO. 17-11375 (BLS) - I HAVE CONTACTED DEALERSHIPS IN MY AREA AND THEY STATED THAT THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR PARTS TO REPLACE AIRBAGS FOR OVER I YEAR AND HAVE NO IDEA WHEN AND/OR IF THEY WILL BE COMING IN.
TAKATA RECALL - I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR A FIX SINCE I WAS NOTIFIED IN FEB AND A 2ND RECALL IN MAY OF 2016. I CONTINUE TO RECEIVE MESSAGES ABOUT CONTACTING A DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL WORK PERFORMED (I HAVE ALSO USED THE HTTPS://WWW.AIRBAGRECALL.COM/EN/CHECK-YOUR-VEHICLE SITE WHICH INFORMS ME A "REMEDY IS NOT AVAILABLE" FOR EITHER RECALL, YET WHEN I CLICK "TAKE ACTION", IT DIRECTS ME TO CONTACT A DEALER). I HAVE CONTACTED MY DEALER AND THEY CONTINUE TO CLAIM NO FIX IS AVAILABLE. WHY, AFTER THIS LONG, IS A FIX NOT YET AVAILABLE, AND WHY AM I WASTING MY TIME TO BE SENT IN CIRCLES TRYING TO SCHEDULE A FIX THAT ISN'T AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL - DEALER HAS NO REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS TO INSTALL, WHICH RAISES THE RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH AND REDUCES THE VALUE OF THE CAR. ## VIN FAILED ## MERCEDES BENZ C300 2008 ##
TAKATA RECALL. I WOULD LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT INACTION FROM MERCEDES BENZ ON THE REPLACEMENT OF MY AIRBAGS WHICH ARE KNOWN TO HAVE AN ISSUE THAT COULD CAUSE DEATH. OTHER VEHICLE MANUFACTURERS SUCH AS HONDA AND NISSAN ARE PROVIDING REPLACEMENT RENTAL CARS TO CUSTOMERS UNTIL THE CLIENT'S CAR IS FIXED. MERCEDES BENZ HAS REFUSED TO DO THIS WHEN I CONTACTED THEM AT THEIR CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AND THE CAR DEALERSHIP IN CHERRY HILL, NJ (WHO ALSO PUT THE PHONE DOWN WHEN I ASKED THEM HOW THIS WAS OKAY). I AM CONCERNED FOR MYSELF AND MY FAMILY MEMBERS SINCE THE WARNING SAYS THAT AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT COULD CAUSE DEATH. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE SOME ACTION AGAINST MERCEDES BENZ FOR NOT PROVIDING CUSTOMERS WITH AN ALTERNATIVE SUCH AS A RENTAL CAR UNTIL THEY ARE ABLE TO REPLACE THESE DANGEROUS AND DEFECTIVE PARTS. PLEASE ADVISE ON WHAT I SHOULD DO NEXT AS I NEED THIS CAR TO GET TO WORK AND TRANSPORT MY FAMILY EVERY DAY. THANK YOU. PLEASE HELP!
THE DEALER(MERCEDES BENZ TYSONS ) IS REFUSING TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS EVEN THOUGH MY AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN RECALLED ON AIRBAG RECALL.COM I AM AFRAID OF DRIVING A CAR WITH DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR ME AND MY FAMILY.
SINCE 2012, FIVE GOODYEAR ASSURANCE FUEL MAX TIRES, SIZE 225/45R17 HAVE FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. GOODYEAR REIMBURSED US FOR SOME OF THE COST. ALL TIRES HAD A FAILURE NOT RELATED TO TREAD LIFE. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT WAS A TIRE WITH LESS THAN 10,000 MILES. IN EACH CASE THE CAR WAS DRIVEN WITHIN SPEED LIMITS AND DID NOT INCUR A TRAUMA. WE BELIEVE THE TIRES, AT LEAST FOUR, WERE FROM A DEFECTIVE BATCH. IN THREE OF THE FAILURES WE WERE LUCKY THAT THE TIRE DID NOT CATASTROPHICALLY FAIL AT SPEEDS OVER 60 MPH.
I HAVE TRIED MORE THAN 8 TIMES TO OBTAIN REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS FOR MY CAR. I AM REPEATEDLY TOLD THAT NO NEW AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN CREATED "FOR ANY VEHICLE". WHY IS TK HOLDINGS INC. GETTING AWAY WITH THIS?
I HAVEN'T RECEIVED THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAG IN MY VEHICLE AS OF TODAY
"TAKATA RECALL" I HAVE CONTACTED M-B DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES ABOUT REPLACING THE AIR BAGS AND HE SAYS THAT HE DOESN'T KNOW WHEN HE'LL HAVE THE PARTS. LAST CONTACT WAS ON NOV.18, 2017.
TAKATA RECALL - RECEIVED RECALL LETTERS TO CONTACT DEALERSHIP. I HAVE CALLED JACK INGRAM MERCEDES SEVERAL TIMES. THEY SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE AIR BAGS. I AM STILL DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND PRAYING THAT I DO NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT INFLATING THE AIRBAGS. NOW I HAVE RECEIVED CHAPTER 11 NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS INC. I CALLED DEALERSHIP TODAY: 11/15/2017 AND THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO REPLACE AIRBAGS.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE CALLED AT LEAST 5 TIMES AND ALWAYS GET TOLD THE "PARTS ARE ON ORDER" NHTSA #16V-363
