THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AT ALL. BATTERY WAS REPLACED AND STILL DID NOT START. MERCEDES BENZ DEALER STATED THAT IT NEEDS AN ELECTRONIC STEERING LOCK. APPARENTLY THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MERCEDES BENZ SEDANS. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED.
REAR TAIL LIGHT FAILURE . VEHICLE REPLACED REAR ELECTRICAL ON THE RECALL. HOWEVER MY TAIL LIGHTS FAILED AGAIN, THE DEALER REQUIRED PAYMENT.
TAKATA RECALL - DESPITE BEING ADVISED THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO HAVE THE AIRBAGS REPLACED IN JUNE 2018, STILL HAVE NO RESOLUTION. I HAVE A RECALL FOR BOTH PASSENGER AND DRIVER BAGS
I 'M GETTING A MESSAGE FROM THE COMPUTER TELLING ME ABOUT THAT MY RIGHT FRONT TAIL LIGHTS ARE NOT WORKING
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP IN TIME BEFORE REAR ENDING ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE CHEST THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO A TOW YARD. A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED RECALL NOTIFICATIONS FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V363000 (AIR BAGS) AND 16V081000 (AIR BAGS). AIR BAG LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF CONCERNED ABOUT AIR BAG NOT WORKING WAS INVOLVED IN A ACCIDENT IN A DIFFERENT CAR WHERE AIR BAGS DID NOT COME OUT AND SENT TO HOSPITAL SO I'M VERY CONCERNED
I DROVE MY CAR TO A RESTAURANT. AFTER ABOUT 15 MINUTES, I RETURNED AND TRIED TO CRANK THE VEHICLE. THE KEY FOB DID NOT UNLOCK THE STIRRING WHEEL AND TIRES. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS A STEERING COLUMN ISSUE. ENOUGH OF AN ISSUE THAT IT COST ME $1000.00 TO REPAIR. I STARTED RESEARCHING AND FOUND THAT THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE. THERE ARE REFERENCES TO BOTH THE ESI AND/OR ESL FAILURES. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH MERCEDES BENZ AND I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS MOTORIST ARE LEFT STRANDED UNLESS TOWED.
TAKATA RECALL - MERCEDES HAS PROMISED AIRBAG REPLACEMENT FOR ALMOST 2 YEARS AND NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. THIS IS NOT A TIMELY REPLACEMENT. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING A CAR WITH A LIFE THREATENING DEFECT FOR 2 YEARS.

TAKATA RECALL. 16V081 16V363 17V017 HAVE NOT HEARD FROM MBUSA SINCE JAN. 2018 DESPITE LETTER TO THEM SEVERAL MONTHS AGO REQUESTING UPDATE. LAST LETTER FROM MBUSA STATED PARTS EXPECTED JUNE 30, 2018. CAR WAS REASSIGNED IN LAST LETTER FROM GROUP 4 TO GROUP 5 -- ODD BECAUSE CAR IS FROM 2010 AND IN SOUTH FLORIDA.

PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG MUST BE REPLACED
ON TUESDAY, JANUARY 16, I PARKED MY VEHICLE ON LEVEL GROUND AT A SHOPPING CENTER AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE AND NEARLY HIT A PEDESTRIAN. I HAD TO PRESS THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I THEN PULLED BACK INTO THE SPACE AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED BACKWARD OUT OF THE PARKING SPACE. I REPEATED THE SEQUENCE A THIRD TIME AND THE VEHICLE ROLLED A LITTLE AND STOPPED ON ITS OWN. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED MERCEDES OF ANNAPOLIS AND THE SERVICE PERSON EXPLAINED THAT THE GEARS WORK ON AN ELECTRONIC SYSTEM AND THE ISSUE WAS A 'FLUKE.' THE NEXT DAY, THE SAME THING HAPPENED WITH MY VEHICLE. THIS TIME I PARALLELED PARKED, PLACED MY VEHICLE IN PARK AND IT ROLLED FORWARD. I HAD TO APPLY THE BRAKES TO KEEP FROM HITTING THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE. I BACKED UP MY VEHICLE AND PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND IT ROLLED FORWARD AGAIN. I DID IT A THIRD TIME AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO AN ABRUPT AND JERKY STOP.

AFTER I CALLED 1 DAY PRIOR TO THE LAST DATE GIVEN (AND AFTER WAITING MONTHS) I WAS INFORMED OVER THE PHONE THAT IT WOULD BE DELAYED, YET AGAIN, ANOTHER SIX MONTHS. THIS IS GOING ON TWO YEARS NOW. THEY ALSO HAVE STATED THAT SINCE NO "INCIDENT" HAVE OCCURRED THEY ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THE CAR. THE NEWS CHANNEL HAVE REPORTED THAT THE RISK OF DANGER INCREASES WITH THE AGE OF THE CAR AND HUMIDITY. I LIVE IN FLORIDA & THE CAR IS GOING ON NINE YEARS OLD. THE LAST LETTER STATED AIRBAGS WOULD BE AVAILABLE JUNE 30 OF 2018 AND WHEN THEY KNEW THEY WEREN'T GOING TO ADHERE TO THAT THEY DID NOT MAKE ANY ATTEMPT TO CONTACT ME & STILL HAVEN'T. TAMARA RECALL. IT'S BEEN A YEAR AND 4 MONTHS SINCE I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MERCEDES TELLING ME THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE AIRBAGS INFLATORS ON MY VEHICLE. SO FAR NOTHING. I'M AFRAID SOMETHING CAN HAPPEN WHILE MY WIFE AND I ARE DRIVING. I WANT TO KNOW WHEN IT'S GOING TO BE FIXED?

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS LIQUID GAS FORMED ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP AND A SEAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

"TAKATA RECALL" WE HAVE HEARD NOTHING FROM MERCEDES, APPARENTLY THEY DO NOT INTENT TO REPAIR THIS SAFETY ISSUE. WE ARE CONCERNED WITH THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE.
CERTAIN MERCEDES-BENZ VEHICLES AND ONE FCA MODEL ARE EQUIPPED WITH DRIVER-SIDE FRONT AIRBAGS PROVIDED BY THE SUPPLIER TK HOLDINGS INC. ("TAKATA"). ON JANUARY 25, 2016 TAKATA FILED A DEFECT INFORMATION REPORT WITH NHTSA ANNOUNCING A POTENTIAL DEFECT IN SOME OF THE SUBJECT INFLATORS. BASED UPON TAKATA'S INFORMATION TO DATE, TAKATA IS AWARE OF FOUR TEST RUPTURES IN BALLISTIC TESTS OF NON-DESICCATED PSDI-5 INFLATORS. TAKATA IS NOT AWARE OF ANY FIELD INCIDENTS IN WHICH A PSDI-5 INFLATOR HAS RUPTURED, EITHER DESICCATED OR NON-DESICCATED. TAKATA IS TAKING THIS ACTION IN AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, TO ADDRESS ALL OF THE SUBJECT NON-DESICCATED PSDI-5 AIR BAG INFLATORS, DUE TO THE SIMILARITIES OF DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING CHARACTERISTICS FOR THIS TYPE OF INFLATOR USED IN THE U.S. MARKET. DAG IS NOT AWARE OF ANY FIELD INCIDENTS WITH THE SUBJECT TAKATA PSDI-5 INFLATORS. TAKATA RECALL SEEMS THERE IS NO SOLUTION FOR THIS ISSUE. WANT TO GET THIS ISSUE REPAIRED PRIOR TO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT OR OTHER EVENT WHICH WILL CAUSE THE AIR BAGS TO INFLATE.
TAKATA RECALL. I CANNOT GET THIS SERVICE FROM MY MERCEDES BENZ DEALER BECAUSE THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS FROM MERCEDES BENZ USA TO FIX THIS. I'VE CALLED MULTIPLE DEALERS AND I GET THE SAME ANSWER. THEY TELL ME TO EITHER CHECK BACK OR CALL MERCEDES BENZ USA ABOUT THE SITUATION.
MY AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN ON RECALL SINCE FEBRUARY 2016 . I CALL THE DEALER AND THEY SAY THE AIRBAGS AREN'T IN STOCK OR THE PART HASN'T COME IN YET.

I AM CONCERNED I AM DRIVING MY VEHICLE IN UNSAFE CONDITION. THEY TOLD ME IN JANUARY 2017 THAT THEY WILL BE REPLACED BY OCTOBER 2017 BUT THEY FAIL TO KEEP THEIR PROMISE. I CALLED THEM TODAY, 11/1/2017 AND THEY SAY THE SAME STATEMENT THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHEN THEY CAN REPLACE THE AIR BAGS.

I HAVE TRIED TO GET THIS ISSUE RESOLVE WITH SEVERAL MERCEDES DEALERSHIPS BUT ALL SAY THEY DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS. I HAVE RECEIVED INFORMATION ON THE CLASS ACTION SUIT FROM TK HOLDINGS AND THE EMAIL THAT WAS PROVIDED IS USELESS. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE MY TAKATA AIR BAGS REPLACED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V081000 (AIR BAGS) AND 16V363000 (AIR BAGS). THE PARTS DO TO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED SEVERAL MONTHS AGO. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALR AND INDEPENDENT MECHANIC REGARDING PART AVAILABILITY.THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE RECALL NOTICE STATED THAT OWNERS WOULD RECEIVE A SECOND NOTICE ONCE PARTS BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A POSTCARD FROM TK HOLDINGS, ALERTING THAT THEY FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

"TAKATA RECALL" NONE OF THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIPS IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REPLACE THE TAKATA AIRBAG. THEY CONTINUE TO SAY THAT THERE ARE NO REPLACEMENT PARTS AVAILABLE TO REMEDY THIS RECALL, EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL NOTICE WAS SENT TO ME OVER A YEAR AGO.
10/26/2017 - I HAVE REQUESTED A REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD BY MERCEDES THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PART
TAKATA RECALL. MY LOCAL MB DEALERSHIP SAID MY RECALL REMEDY WAS STILL PENDING AND DIRECTED ME TO THE NATIONAL CONTACT, WHICH SAID RECALLS ARE BEING DONE IN A PHASED MANNER DUE TO LACK OF PARTS. MEANWHILE, I'M HAVING TO DRIVE WITH A POTENTIALLY DEADLY AIRBAG ON MY CAR.
I CALLED THE DEALER AND I ASKED HIM ABOUT REPLACING THE AIRBAG, I WAS TOLD HE DOES NOT HAVE ANY, WILL CALL WHEN HE GETS THEM.

TAKATA RECALL - I HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED FOR CLOSE TO TWO YEARS NOW THAT MY AIRBAG IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE RECALL. I HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT IN WAITING FOR A REPLACEMENT BUT UNTIL TODAY WHEN I RECEIVED NOTICED THAT THIS COMPANY IS FILING FOR BANKRUPTCY I FEEL LESS CONFIDENT THAT THERE WILL BE A REPLACEMENT IN TIME. I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING MY CAR KNOWING A DEFECTIVE AIRBAG IS IN IT. WHEN CONTACTING THE DEALERSHIP FOR A REPLACEMENT THEY HAVE ADVISED THAT THEY ARE IN BACK ORDER AND THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR CLOSE TO TWO YEARS. SOMETHING SO SERIOUS IN MY CAR THAT CAN POTENTIAL IMPACT MY FAMILY AN I IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SHOULD BE FIXED IMMEDIATELY. I DON'T FEEL I CAN ENJOY MY CAR FULLY DUE TO THE CONSTANT CONCERN OF THESE RECALLED AIRBAGS IN MY CAR.
