There are 50 owner-reported engine complaints for the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Classin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
Exhaust camshaft pulse wheel shifted on camshaft. Replacement of camshaft, positioner, oil control valve, timing chain and chain tension was recommended.
After strong fuel odor in interior of car, inspected the engine and discovered fuel in the top of the engine this is a serious safety concern due possible car fire. The leak appear to be due failure of a top engine gasoline hose due low quality. The car barely has 30k miles .
Check Engine light came on recently, fault code P052E is identified by scanner. Car has 60,000 miles on original it. MB dealer wants to charge $300 for diagnostics, repair job (parts and labor) may cost over $2,000. Since this is critical emission compliance part/system, why is it not recalling?
The engine lamp turned yellow. The car got inspected by a mechanic and showed code. P052E, which indicates the defect in the crankcase ventilation valve. I see that many cars of the same model in which were produced about the same year had the same defect. I called the manufacture customer service and they claim that my van was not included in the recall. My vehicle likely had the same problem as other people did in the past, but for some reason my vin was not included.

PCV VALVE FAILURE PO52E ERROR
Pcv valve malfunction causing the 0sensor to short. It’s also spitting oil into my CAT.. Mercedes has the part on back order and no one can seem to get it but everyone is having the same issue.
Was driving on the highway , car was running for about 7-10 min from the start , and when took off from exit , car started to shake and when pulled off to the side of the road , the car won’t start anymore , dealership said that engine failed ,
Emissions Failure P052E - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Regulator Valve Performance. Vehicle has been inspected. Warning lamp appeared for my engine recently. Cause by faulty plastic valves that requires a significant costly repair - around $3,000 USD
My car is registering code P052E71. The diagnosis says the valve for crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator is blocked. This is a common problem for this car with research. Some people have had to replace this part multiple times for their Mercedes which is a part that shouldn't fail. Nothing has been done such as a recall on this vehicle. The part and labor to repair this issue costs $1000+ dollars. Something should be done to help consumers. I'm doing my part to report this hoping something will be done.
Check engine light- code read Valve For Crankcase Ventilation Has A Malfunction. After googling this, it appears that many Mercedes owners are having this issue and comes back again after repair. This should be recalled by Mercedes.
My check engine light came on recently on my 2015 C300 4matic. Car has 66500 miles on it. The code P052E71 was diagnosed - The valve for the crankcase ventilation has a malfunction. The actuator was blocked. This problems seems to be occurring to a lot of similar cars from Mercedes and some of them have reported that this issue keeps coming back. The dealership and other auto body shops say it's going to cost around $1500-$2000, considering how it's a tedious job to do and involves multiple hours of labor. The dealer won't repair it as part of warranty. This definitely seems to be an engine issue with the car and has nothing to do with how we drive. Cars not older than a couple years are starting to see this issue. There needs to be a recall for this and have Mercedes does something about it. Why are the consumers having to spend money to have the same repairs done for a bad design, parts and engine being provided by Mercedes.
My 2015 Mercedes Benz vehicle is rarely driven as I took public transportation to work and has ~55000 miles. However, the engine has started throwing error code P052E verified by an independent dealer - crankcase ventilation valve failure. It means the engine could shut off amid driving and I did research and it seems like a very common issue that Mercedes Benz car owner encounter and feels like a severe car defect.
2015 MB C300 Check engine light came on, appointment scheduled to check issue before it went to the mechanic had a safety issue when accelerating to turn in a seven lane busy intersection the car lost acceleration and missed, running rough for a few seconds then recovered in time for me to get out of the way of the 45-50 mph oncoming traffic. Issue is P052E positive crank case ventilation valve which is going to cost $2200 to fix. Car has just over 60k miles on it and this is a known issue for YEARS on multiple MB turbocharged 4cl. I could have been t-boned if the acceleration hadn’t recovered. Does someone have to get killed before MB recalls the vehicles? 60k miles is not a lot of mileage for a car 8 years old that has had all its scheduled maintenance.
MB 2015 C300 4MATIC. Check engine light came on. Went to a Mercedes Mechanic and they read the code as PO52E71. Crankcase Vent Valve Malfunction. This was reset and two days later the check engine light came on again with the same error/fault code being read. This seems to be a common issue for this manufacturer and is a very expensive repair. In the even this is a common issue, I wanted to report this for the record.
