THERE IS A VERY STRONG GAS SMELL WHEN THE HEAT AND/OR DEFROSTER IS TURNED ON. THE HIGHER THE HEAT IS TURNED UP'THE HIGHER THE GAS SMELLS. THE SMELL LINGERS WHEN THE CAR IS NOT RUNNING/CUT-OFF. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE STRONG SMELL OF GAS DOES NOT OCCUR WHEN THE AIR IS TURNED ON'IT ONLY SMELLS WHEN THE HEAT IS TURNED ON. IT IS SO STRONG'IT WOULD LITERALLY KNOCK YOU OUT.
FUEL LINE LEAK, SMELLS LIKE GASOLINE WHEN HEATER IS TURNED ON.
THE CAR HAS A STRONG GAS SMELL INSIDE THE CABIN AFTER FIRST START COLD,AND ALSO SSECOND COLD START. THE PASSENGER AIR BAG ON MESSAGE CONSTANTLY COMES ON.
RECURRING ISSUE OF SEVERE PULSATION WHEN BRAKING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. PULSATION EXACERBATED BY REPEATED STOPPING (RED LIGHTS) OR SLOWING FROM HIGH SPEEDS (FREEWAY EXIT RAMPS). THE PROBLEM MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN PROPER CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO USE MIRRORS DUE TO SHAKING. I HAVE DRIVEN THE VEHICLE LESS THAN 40,000 MILES AND HAVE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE ROTORS TWICE DUE TO THIS ISSUE.
ON FOUR OCCASIONS, THE ELECTRONIC DASHBOARD GOES COMPLETELY BLACK AND WILL STAY THAT WAY FOR QUITE SOMETIME. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE IS 'DOWNLOADING SOFTWARE', BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT ANY WARNING FROM M-B. IT HAPPENS AFTER I PARK IT AND THEN RESTARTED IT.
AS PER THIS RECALL LISTED 2016 MERCEDES-BENZ C300, C450 AMG 4MATIC RECALLED FOR PANORAMIC SUNROOF DEFECT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR AS A CERTIFIED USED MODEL FROM A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP AND WHILE DRIVING THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF ATTEMPTED TO STAND UP VERTICALLY BUT I QUICKLY CAUGHT IT. I PULLED OVER AND MANAGED TO GET IT TO CLOSE AND LATCH AND TOOK IT TO THE DEALER NAMED IN THE REPAIR ESTIMATE. I PROVIDED THEM WITH THE PLASTIC PIECES SHOWN IN THE PICTURE THAT I FOUND BROKEN INSIDE THE FRAME AND THEY WOULD NOT REMEDY THE DEFECT WITHOUT A CHARGE OF OVER $3200 WHICH INCLUDED PARTS THAT ARE NOT MALFUNCTIONING. INSTEAD I WAS SENT BACK OUT WITH THE VEHICLE IN THE SAME CONDITION
HOSE CLAMPS ATTACHING THE HIGH PRESSURE FUEL LINE LEADING FROM THE FIREWALL-MOUNTED FUEL PUMP TO THE CENTRAL FUEL RAIL FAILED TO MAINTAIN A TIGHT CONNECTION. THIS LEADS TO FUEL LEAKING PAST THE HOSE CLAMP CONNECTION INTO THE OPEN ENGINE COMPARTMENT DURING COLD WEATHER (SUB-40 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT) WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. WHEN THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT RISES, EITHER BY ENVIRONMENT OR BY HEAT GENERATED FROM THE ENGINE, THE FUEL LEAK SUBSIDES. SYMPTOMS WHEN THIS OCCURS ARE A VERY STRONG FUEL SMELL IN THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND ALSO, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, OBSERVATION OF LIQUID FUEL POOLING ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT UNDER TRAY. INTERNET RESEARCH ALSO INDICATE THAT THIS IS A FAIRLY WIDESPREAD PROBLEM AFFECTING AT LEAST 2015-16 W205 MODEL VEHICLES, AND THAT MULTIPLE MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIPS IN THE UNITED STATES HAVE COMMUNICATED VERBALLY TO OTHER CUSTOMERS THAT THIS IS A "KNOWN ISSUE".
DEFECTIVE 19'' MERCEDES-BENZ AMG ALLOY RIM CRACKED AND CAUSED TIRE PRESSURE FAILURE.
SUNROOF WILL NOT CLOSE AT ALL, SEATS WILL NOT ADJUST (ELECTRICAL), WIPER VISIBILITY IS UNCLEAR, DEFROST DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE ODOR RETURNED THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.

THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE AND TREATED FOR A FRACTURED RIGHT WRIST AND A FRACTURED LEFT CLAVICLE, HEAD INJURIES, AND NECK INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND MENTIONED THAT THEY WOULD HAVE SOMEONE INSPECT THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000. *DT
The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated the sunroof failed to close and was stuck open. The vehicle was taken to dealer and was diagnosed that the sunroof rail, motor and rods needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated while driving at 15-20 MPH, she noticed that the sunroof was lifting up. The contact decreased her speed to 10-15 MPH and moved to the shoulder of the road. The contact stated that sunroof flew off and landed on the ground. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle would be repaired at her own expense. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not assist as the vehicle was out of warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000. The VIN was not available.
IN FEBRUARY 2019 THE C300 ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID IT WAS A BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTOR, AND THE DEALER TOOK THREE DAYS TO REPAIR IT. THREE WEEKS LATER IN MARCH 2019, WHILE DRIVING 25 MILES PER HOUR STRAIGHT ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET THE CAR SHUT OFF WITHOUT A SOUND, ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIT UP, AND THE CAR COASTED TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I TRIE TO RESTART THE CAR, THE STARTER MADE NOISE BUT THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I CALLED ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND DID THE THREE TIME LOCK AND UNLOCK ROUTINE, AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. AFTER TOWING THE CAR BACK TO THE SAME DEALER, THEY TOLD ME THE CAR WAS SHOWING NO CODES, THE ISSUE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED AND THE CAR SHOULD BE FINE TO DRIVE AGAIN! I'M NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, AND THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO FIX IT.
SINCE I BOUGHT THE MY 2016 C450 AMG IN 2016 BRAND NEW I STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE RIMS A MONTH LATER AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS A CRACKED RIM ,I RESPONDED BY LETTING THEM KNOW I NEVER RAN OVER ANY POTHOLES.THE RIM WAS REPAIRED, BUT A MONTH LATER AGAIN THE PROBLEM ACCURRED.MY CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR THE SAME PROBLEM EVERY OTHER MONTH FOR THE SAME PROBLEM ON EACH OF MY TIRES ,ALL OF MY TIRES HAVE BEEN CRACKED WITHOUT ME RUNNING INTO POTHOLES.JUST YESTERDAY I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK FROM SERVICE AFTER A WEEK OF THEM HAVING IT FOR A CRACKED RIM AGAIN ON THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE.WHEN I LEFT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT THE TIRE PRESSURE WAS AT 36 PERCENT THIS MORNING ALL THE TIRES ARE AT THEIR NORMAL PRESSURE EXCEPT THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE IT'S AT 30 PERCENT. IT IS LOSING AIR AGAIN. MY CAR HAS BEEN TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OVER 15 TIME FOR PROBLEMS WITH CRACK RIMS WITHOUT ME RUNNING INTO POTHOLES. IS THERE A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM WITH THE RIMS?

WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE 405 FREEWAY VEHICLE LOST POWER STEERING ASSIST AT 65MPH, VEHICLE STEERING WAS VERY HARD TO STEER & STEERING WHEEL LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH HAD TO FIGHT WITH THE STEERING TO PULL THE VEHICLE OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY. TRY TO RESTART VEHICLE ALL LIGHT CAME ON NO-START. BATTERY CABLE HAD TO BE REMOVED WAIT 30MIN AND VEHICLE RESTARTED. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN BEVERLY HILLS, DEALER DIAGNOSIS AND FOUND SOME DTC'S CODES AND RESET AND RETURN VEHICLE

THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MERCEDES-BENZ OF LITTLETON (8070 SOUTH BROADWAY, LITTLETON, CO) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUN ROOF WAS FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.
I BOUGHT MY 2016 MERCEDES C63S AMG FROM A DEALER IN EDMOND, OKLAHOMA (JACKIE COOPER BMW) AND THEY SOLD ME THE CAR WITH LESS THAN 10% TREAD LEFT ON THE TIRES. SHORTLY AFTER THE PURCHASE I CALLED THE DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE AND THEY FLAT OUT DENIED ANY WRONG DOING. THEY CLAIMED THEY DID A "RIGOROUS INSPECTION" BUT SOMEHOW THE TIRES THAT WERE DOWN TO THEIR WEAR BARS PASSED IT. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, I PURCHASED A $4100 TIRE/WHEEL PACKAGE FROM THEM AND THEY ALSO HAVE NOT ACTIVATED THE SERVICE (AFTER 23 DAYS OF PURCHASE) SO I CANNOT GET NEW TIRES PUT ON WITHOUT PAYING AN EXTRA $1200 OUT OF POCKET FOR THE HIGH PERFORMANCE TIRES THAT THE CAR REQUIRES. MANAGEMENT HAS NOT RETURNED ANY OF THE CALLS & THE SALES AGENT (BRYAN LEONARD) ALSO HAVE NOT BEEN VERY HELPFUL. NEARLY A MONTH LATER AFTER THE PURCHASE THE CAR IS STILL SITTING IN THE GARAGE WITH TWO BUSTED TIRES & NO WAY TO REPLACE THEM UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO EXPEDITE THE WARRANTY ACTIVATION. I FINALLY GOT TIRED OF WAITING SO I TOOK THE HIT FOR THE FRONT TWO TIRES AND PAID A MOBILE SERVICE TO COME OUT AND REPLACE THEM. THE DEALER IS REFUSING TO REIMBURSING ME FOR THOSE 2 & ALSO REFUSING TO ACTIVATE THE WARRANTY SERVICE IN A TIMELY MANNER. I'VE ATTACHED THE PICTURES OF THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE THAT IS ON IT'S LAST THREAD & ALSO THE RECEIPT FOR THE FRONT TWO THAT I REPLACED OUT OF POCKET. IT'S DECEMBER 21ST NOW AND STILL NO ACTIVATION ON THE WARRANTY. I'VE NEVER FELT A BIGGER BAIT & SWITCH FROM A DEALER BEFORE.
IN ADDITION TO A STRONG, NOXIOUS, MOLDY ODOR, VEHICLE'S FRONT WINDSHIELD FOGS OVER SO TOTALLY THAT IT BECOMES DANGEROUS IN HIGHWAY DRIVING. THE HVAC/CLIMATE-CONTROL SYSTEM'S DEFROSTER IS UNABLE TO CLEAR MORE THAN THE BOTTOM FEW INCHES OF THE WINDSHIELD: THE ONLY WAY I CAN SEE THROUGH IT IS TO WIPE AWAY THE FOG WITH MY HAND. THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION BUT PERSISTS WHEN IT IS STATIONARY. THIS HAPPENS IN ALMOST ANY WEATHER, BUT ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS MOISTURE IN THE AIR(FOG, RAIN).
PANORAMIC SUNROOF SHATTERED WHILE DRIVING NORMALLY IN HIGHWAY, SHARDS OF GLASS FROM THE SUNROOF ALSO DAMAGED/CHIPPED REAR PART OF THE CAR. CAUSE UNKNOWN. VEHICLE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION.
I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR 5-7 MINUTES I WAS GOING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE ON A RURAL ROAD AND TOOK A RIGHT HAND TURN. THE DRIVER'S DOOR OPENED AND A RED WARNING LIGHT CAME UP ON THE DASH. I IMMEDIATELY APPLIED THE BRAKES TO STOP MY VEHICLE AND LOOKED AT THE DOOR. I NOTICED THAT THE DOOR LOCK BUTTON WAS STILL DOWN. I WAS ABLE TO PULL THE DOOR CLOSED. MY SON WAS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND WITNESSED THIS, WE WERE SHOCKED TO SAY THE LEAST. THE INVOICE NUMBER ASSOCIATED WITH THAT SERVICE CALL IS 79121
THERE'S A CONSTANT GAS SMELL IN MY CAR. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMED IT WAS A LEAK TWICE, BUT THAT CAN'T BE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT STILL CARRIES THE SMELL.
THE TIRES SUPPLIED ON THIS CAR ARE UNSUITABLE FOR INTENDED USE. LOW PROFILE TIRES ARE EASILY DAMAGED BY POTHOLES (WE LIVE IN CHICAGO) AND WITHOUT CONSTANT INSPECTION FOR "BUBBLES" PRESENT A HAZARD. THIS CAR IS TWO YEARS OLD WITH 8800 MILES ON IT AND IS ON IT'S 4TH FRONT TIRE. IN AS THIS IS HOW THE CAR COMES, AND THE DEALER AS ACKNOWLEDGED THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY HAVE CLEARLY SOLD TIRES THAT ARE IN THE LONG RUN NOT SAFE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF CHERRY HILL (2151 NJ-70, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08002) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RIMS WERE CRACKED DUE TO DRIVING OVER POTHOLES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 24,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF TYSONS CORNER (8545 LEESBURG PIKE, VIENNA, VA 22182), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 29,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (MERCEDES-BENZ OF LAGUNA NIGUEL (1 STAR DR, LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA 92877) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A ROCK SHATTERED THE SUN ROOF. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO FILE A CLAIM WITH THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE AND WAS PERFORMING A PRODUCT INVESTIGATION. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH AND THE PANORAMIC SUNROOF ON MY MERCEDES C300 EXPLODED. I SAY "EXPLODED" BECAUSE NOTHING STRUCK THE GLASS AND MOST OF THE GLASS BLEW OUT AND OFF THE CAR, NOT IN. THE SUNROOF WAS CLOSED AT THE TIME, SO THERE WAS NO WIND PRESSURE. AFTER I STOPPED, YOU CAN EVEN SEE WHERE THE GLASS REMAINING IS STICKING UP, NOT DOWN. THE SHADE WAS OPEN SO GLASS DID FALL INTO MY CAR, CUTTING MY ARM. IF KIDS OR OTHERS WERE IN THE CAR, IT WOULD LIKELY HAVE CUT THEM OR COULD HAVE RESULTED IN GLASS DUST IN THEIR EYES, ETC. IT ALSO COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT BY SCARING ME BUT ALSO SINCE MUCH OF IT BLEW OFF MY CAR, IT PUT THE CARS BEHIND ME IN DANGER AND COULD HAVE CAUSED THEM TO CRASH. MERCEDES HAS NOT TAKEN RESPONSIBILITY OF THIS YET, BUT I HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY A LITTLE OVER 1 YEAR OLD AND ONLY ABOUT 17,000 MILES ON IT. NO WAY SHOULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED. I HAVE MORE PICTURES, IF YOU WANT THEM.
The contact owns a 2016 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact stated that whenever the fuel tank was full, there was a fuel-burning odor coming from the engine and entered the vehicle through the A/C vents. In addition, when the vehicle was cold, the odor was entering the vehicle through the A/C vents. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a collision center specializing in foreign vehicles, where it was diagnosed that the fuel rail and injectors had a fuel leak. The vehicle was not repaired. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER CAR ON A PAVED, AND DRY, ROAD. SHE WAS FOLLOWING BEHIND A SUV, THAT APPLIED THE BRAKES ABRUPTLY. SHE HAD DIFFICULTY STOPPING HER CAR AND SHE WOUND UP HITTING THE SUV IN FRONT OF HER. WHILE THIS DOES SOUND UNUSUAL, IT IS FOR THIS CAR (2016 MERCEDES BENZ C300). THE SALESMAN TOLD US THAT THIS CAR WAS EQUIPPED WITH AN ANTI-COLLISION. SYSTEM CALLED "COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS". IT IS SUPPOSED TO ACTIVATE A LIGHT ON THE DASH. IF THE CAR GETS EVEN CLOSER YET, IT IS SUPPOSED GIVE AN AUDIBLE ALARM. IF THE DRIVER DOESN'T RESPOND AND THE CAR GETS EVEN CLOSER TO THE CAR IN FRONT, THE SYSTEM SHOULD DEPLOY THE BRAKING SYSTEM UNTIL THE DRIVER ENGAGES. EVEN IF THE DRIVER DOESN'T DEPLOY THE BRAKES, THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO STOP BEFORE A COLLISION. IN OUR CAR, THIS SYSTEM DID NOT FUNCTION. THERE WAS NO LIGHT, NO AUDIBLE ALARM, AND NO DEPLOYMENT OF THE BRAKES. THE CAR WAS INVOLVED IN A REAR END COLLISION WITH A MAZDA CRV. SO FAR, MERCEDES BENZ HAS NOT CALLED ME BACK. I FILLED OUT A QUESTIONNAIRE TWO WEEKS AGO TO INFORM THEM OF THE PROBLEM. OUR CAR HAS BEEN SITTING AT THE BODY SHOP AWAITING MERCEDES TO GET BACK TO US. I HAVE DONE EVERYTHING I KNOW TO TRY AND GET MERCEDES TO CONTACT ME. THIS FEATURE WAS GROSSLY MISREPRESENTED BY THE SALESMAN AT ANAHEIM HILLS MERCEDES AND HE HAS BEEN REPRIMANDED FOR IT. ON OCT 14TH AT NIGHT CAR WAS DRIVEN IN HEAVY RAIN OFF INTERSTATE I5 OFF RAMP TO EXIT INTERSTATE. THERE WERE CARS BOTH IN FRONT AND BEHIND US EXITING AND UPON DRIVING FURTHER NOTICED THERE WAS STANDING WATER. OTHER CARS WERE MAKING IT THROUGH SLOWLY, THERE WAS NO ROOM TO TURN AROUND. THIS CAR ALMOST MADE IT TO THE END OF THE OFFRAMP AND THEN STALLLED. OTHER CARS WERE FORCED TO GO AROUND. TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR TO NO AVAIL. CALLED FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. NOTICED SMOKE COMING FROM THE HOOD AND THEN ALL LIGHTING WENT DARK IN CAR. THEN SAW FLAMES FROM THE HOOD. QUICKLY RAN THROUGH WATER TO ESCAPE AND FLAMES GOT SEVERAL FEET HIGH. PASSER BY'S HAD CALLED 911 AS ENTIRE FRONT OF CAR WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD TO CUT OPEN CAR HOOD TO PUT OUT FIRE. CAR DAMAGED BEYOND REPAIR AND THEY TOO WERE INCREDULOUS THAT A NEW CAR WOULD BE ENGULFED IN FLAMES AFTER STALLING IN THE RAIN.
AFTER STOPPING AND WAITING AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT FOR 15-30 SECONDS, I HAD MY FEET ON THE BRAKES AND LEFT TURN INDICATOR ON. THE "HOLD" OPTION TO LOCK MY BRAKES WAS NOT ENGAGED. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY. WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR SHIFTED INTO DRIVE AND JOLTED FORWARD INTO THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME AT THE LIGHT. (I WAS THE SECOND CAR IN LINE, AND I STOPPED ABOUT A HALF CAR LENGTH BEHIND THE OTHER DRIVER.) THE ACCELERATION WAS NOT A TYPICAL, GRADUAL MOVEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I RELEASE MY FOOT FROM THE BRAKE TO DRIVE. IT WAS A SUDDEN AND JARRING JUMP REGARDLESS OF THE FACT THAT MY FOOT NEVER LEFT THE BRAKE. I TRIED TO PRESS THE BRAKES MULTIPLE TIMES TO STOP THE FORWARD MOVEMENT, BUT MY CAR HIT THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME TWICE. THE STEEL BUMPER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE WAS NOT DAMAGED. THE FRONT AREA OF MY HOOD (EMBLEM AND GRILL) WERE CRUSHED. I REPORTED EARLIER ELECTRONIC ISSUES TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AS NOTABLE ODDITIES, BUT NONE MADE ME THIS CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY OF OTHERS, MY PASSENGERS, AND MYSELF. AS RECENTLY AS A WEEK EARLIER, MY REAR-VIEW CAMERA FROZE AND LOCKED AS I WAS REVERSING INTO MY GARAGE, SO HAD I TRUSTED THE SCREEN IN MY CAR, I WOULD HAVE REVERSED ANOTHER 5-10 FEET INTO MY GARAGE. I COULD NOT UNFREEZE IT WITHOUT PUTTING THE CAR BACK INTO DRIVE AND RESTARTING MY CAR. MONTHS EARLIER, THE SENSOR ON MY SIDE MIRRORS STARTED TO GO OFF WITHOUT ANY OTHER SOURCE OF DANGER OR COLLISION ON VACANT STREETS. THE AIR PRESSURE ALERT WARNED THAT MY TIRES WERE BECOMING DANGEROUSLY FLAT; HOWEVER, EN ROUTE TO THE GAS STATION, THE PRESSURE MONITOR NOTED THAT ALL TIRES WERE NOW RETURNING TO NORMAL PRESSURE LEVELS AND NO INFLATION WAS NEEDED. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY PECULIAR EVENTS WITH THIS NEW C300 IN RECENT MONTHS, BUT MY PRIMARY CONCERN AS A CAREGIVER IS THE SUDDEN ACCELERATION FROM A STOPPED POSITION--OR FROM ANY POSITION--WITHOUT MY DIRECTION OR INTENT.
