This is not about an accident. It's about the vehicle's condition. Precisely, about the brake service warning. Red warning with beeping on dashboard saying I need to bring it to workshop for service. My wife was driving this car when she felt something was wrong with the car and she brought it to her trustful mechanic for check up right away sameday That mechanic gave up to look any further suggesting a visit to MB dealer.
There has not been an incident report, however, my brakes failed while driving and I pulled over. This is the fault the SBC System which has an Extended 25 year warranty. I brought it into Mercedes prior to complete failure, but they only replace the Pressure Reservoir. It must be returned to Mercedes for the SBC UNIT replacement.
Car smells like gas. Constantly a couple machanic. Did some repairs. But there’s a small leak as well from a smoke test. Gas leaks in more than one area. Oil leaks everywhere. Evap leak didn’t pass smog. Then went to a smog station and repair. Check engine light back on again. I saw Mercedes had an extended warranty to avoid recalling several safety complaints. I got the car from a guy who never looked into recalls or extended warranty for these complaints. Please help me to get refunded what I payed so far with repairs on gas leaks. Also to repair the whole gas system. It is dangerously ongoing. I never got notified by Mercedes nor did the previous owner.
Fuel pump housing failed allowing gas to leak, further degrading parts of the fuel system, ultimately causing the locking ring to fail and gas to leak under rear passenger seat. Fumes filled the cabin while my family and I including two young children were inside. Fortunately, this issue was discovered rather quick, if not the fuel could have leaked onto the hot exhaust under the tank and ignited. I recently found this issue is well known in the Mercedes-Benz W211 chassis. You have multiple complaints on file. Mercedes had in fact issued an extended warranty of the fuel system however, it has since expired. The car provided no warning messages prior to failure. The car has yet to be inspected by the dealer, mechanic, or insurance.
The contact owns a 2005 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. The contact stated that after refueling the vehicle and arriving to the residence; the contact became aware that after parking the vehicle in the garage, there was an abnormally strong gasoline odor coming from the vehicle. Additionally, the contact saw fuel leaking from the fuel tank. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was part of an Extended Warranty program however, the Extended Warranty Program had expired. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.
2005 e500 mercedes benz, after full tank of gas I filled. I noticed very strong gas inside my car and outside. It can catch on fired. cause cancer and lung issues.
A warning in Red came up on the dashboard which said something like "catastrophic break failure" ..I was going slow about to stop at the Red light and the brakes did not work and I hit a mini van
Break booster malfunction sign popped up 3-4 time while driving and I lost 70% of the break. Luckily it happened on local road at speed under 30mph. It is very dangerous and can result in an accident
car break looses 70% of its pressure and only left with 30% break. It happened 3-4 times already. break booster malfunction sign comes up. When i restart the car, malfunction sign goes away and it run ok for few days till it happen again. I am not driving it right now. it can cause serious accident at high speed
Gas tank leak from under heat Shield Recall claims in 2012 it was extended for 15 years
While driving in highway, SBC brake failure warning and failure. Fortunate to be able to come to a stop without crashing into a car ahead since had plenty of time and distance to slowly come to a stop even with reduced braking power. If traveling in rush hour would likely have rear ended a stopped car in front and potentially causing serious injury and damage! This is a known issue with Mercedes, and there is an extended 25 year warranty on the vehicle but for some reason, my vehicle was not included in the recall: NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 04V296000 2005 Mercedes e320 automatic sedan. I had the dealer replace parts of the the SBA brake unit once, but it has since reappeared on an intermittent basis usually during cold start and then it goes away in a few seconds while pulling out of a driveway, but this time it occurred after having driven for awhile on a freeway Please investigate to include additionally affected vehicles!!!
Had a minor accident no airbags deployed sitting in car I don’t know a month later something around that sitting in car key not in the ignition sitting in the driver seat when all of a sudden a big bang happened and blue out both side airbag by the sunroof sunroof. Was very loud and knocked my head sideways. Nothing had touch the car car hadn’t been hit car was sitting in the driveway with no ignition running no key in the ignition.
Brake warning lights flashed and brakes failed
Per incident was back glass detached from window and broke all over the road and on the back of my car while driving. 2: Sbcc pump goes in and out admittedly and type of a no brake issue at all hard as a rock will not move car only has 180,000 miles on it and it’s been doing that since 140,000 miles Which did cause me to get in a minor accident on the right side of the car the passenger side where now I’ve had to replace a fender and still have problems because of it

Please see this discussion... 2005 Mercedes E320 SBC brake system should be recalled. Thanks for considering!
I was traveling at about 60mph and started to slow to turn off the highway. Suddenly a red brake warning light came on and it took tremendous pressure to slow the car down and I overshot the turn. Then the car had no power. I was 36 miles from my home. I limped at 5-20 mph to a friends house and had the car towed to my home. There was absolutely no warning of any kind of brake problem. The car was driving just fine before this happened. I believe it could have been a much worse situation had I been in any kind of traffic.
The 2005 E500 W211 gas tank cracks leaking fuel sending unit and fuel pump. The odor of gas permeates the cabin, recall campaign number 2008-020001, and it’s extension information of 15 years dated Jan. 2015 signed by Ralph S. Fisher GM customer assistance center. The dealer in Hawai’i refuse to honor the recall warranty. It’s traveling a bomb.
INSTRUMENT PANEL NOT WORKING FOR LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS OR LONGER DID NOT DRIVE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE

The passenger compartment smells like gasoline. This is due to an issue that was already investigated by nhtsa however the warranty that was extended is expired by two years. I just purchased this vehicle used and it is unsafe to drive. It did not smell like gas a few weeks ago when it was purchased. The odor is very strong in the passenger compartment.

HI, I WAS DRIVING NORMALY ON A ROAD, NO WARNING, JUST BRAKE LIGHT POPS UP TO REDUCE POWER. PEDAL WAS EMPTY AND STEERING GOT HARD NO UPSHIFT. I HIT A CURB AND CRACKED MY BUMPER. ALL BRAKES ARE NEW. WHEN I LOOKED ON LINE, I SAW SOME PEOPLE DEVELOPED A DEVICE THAT RESETS THE ABS MUDUAL TO 100%. THEY SAID MERCEDES PUT A TIMER IN THE SYSTEM THAT RUNS OUT AND MAKE YOU CHANGE STUFF? THIS DEVICE I JUST BOUGHT TO USE SO I CAN USE MY CAR. I'M AN AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN AND THIS SCRAED THE HELL OUT OF ME ON A DARK NIGHT IN OHIO. I ENED UP TOWING MY CAR TO MY HOUSE 60 MILES AWAY. VERY ANGERY WITH MB.
I HAVE REPLACED THE SUSPENSION BEFORE AND NOW THE SUSPENSION LIGHT COMES BACK ON. THE CAR IS DOWN LOWER THAN NORMAL. THIS IS ALL THE TIME.
FILLED UP GAS TANK AND HAD FUEL ODOR INSIDE CAR AND FUEL LEAKING OUTSIDE THE CAR UNTIL FUEL LEVEL WAS AROUND 3/4 OF A TANK. I BELIEVE THAT MINE FALLS UNDER ALL THE OTHER PROBLEMS LISTED FOR FUEL LEAKS FOR OTHER W211 MERCEDES. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THIS WAS ONLY ALLOWED FOR ORIGINAL OWNERS AND NOT FOR ANYONE THAT PURCHASED USED.
MERCEDES BENZ OF FORT WASHINGTON HAS DENIED A REPLACEMENT OF SBC UNIT AND COMPONENTS UNDER A SAFETY RECALL. I LOST BRAKES WHILE DRIVING. 'DECREASED BRAKES POWER' RED MESSAGE APPEARED
THE CAR WILL SOMETIMES THINK THERE IS SOMEONE RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN NO ONE IS THERE. IT CAUSES THE SEATBELT LIGHT AND THE WARNING BEEPS TO OCCUR. ITS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE ITS A DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING AND IT WOULD SET OFF THE AIRBAGS FOR THAT SIDE OF THE VEHICLE IF ANYTHING IS TO HAPPEN.
SHARP GAS ODER WHEN ENTERING THE CAR CABIN AND DRIVING
THE STEERING WHEEL ADJUSTMENT DOESN'T GO UP. IT DOESN'T WORK STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.
EIS MODULE AND KEY FAILED WHILE ON FREEWAY, CAUSING CAR TO LOSE ALL GAUGES RADIO AND ENDING WITH NOT BEING ABLE TO START VEHICLE ON SIDE OF FREEWAY. NOW THIS IS GOING TO COST ME 1300 DOLLARS.. CAR HAS BEEN GREATLY TAKEN CARE OF AND WELL MAINTAINED. NO REASON THAT THIS SHOULD HAPPEN. I COULD OF WRECKED BC THE TURN SIGNALS STOPPED WORKING AS WELL IN THE FAST LANE WITH NO LEFT SHOULDER TO PULL OVER TO. DEADLY
SRS WARNING LIGHT ON. REPLACED SEAT CONTROL A 211 870 05 26. NO HELP. SERVICE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. SERVICE DECIDED TO REPLACE ENTIRE SEAT FRAME AT A COST IN EXCESS OF $2,800 INCLUDING PARTS AND LABOR. SRS CODE WAS IDENTIFIED WHEN THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND JUST STARTED IN ENCLOSED PARKING SPACE WITH DOOR OPEN.
MY VEHICLE FILLS WITH THE SMELL OF GASOLINE SO BADLY THAT IT MAKES ME PHYSICALLY ILL. I HAVE TO DRIVE IT WITH ALL THE WINDOWS OPEN TO TRY TO TOLERATE THE SMELL AND EVEN THEN, THE OVERWHELMING STENCH OF GASOLINE IS PALATABLE ENOUGH TO TASTE, CAUSE HEADACHES, AND NAUSEA. THIS STARTED A COUPLE MONTHS AGO WITH A SLIGHT SMELL AND HAS GOTTEN STEADILY WORSE. IN THE MIDST OF THE "STAY AT HOME" ORDERS I LEFT IT AND DROVE A DIFFERENT VEHICLE. IN THIS TIME I DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND WAS APPALLED TO LEARN THAT MERCEDES IS FULLY AWARE OF THIS ISSUE. THEY EXTENDED A WARRANTY PERIOD OF 15 YEARS TO OWNERS BUT DID NOT CONSIDER IT A SAFETY ISSUE AND SEND THE INFORMATION TO VEHICLE OWNERS SO THAT THEY COULD HAVE THE SYSTEMS CHECKED. I CALLED MERCEDES TO LEARN THAT MY WARRANTY PERIOD ENDED IN JANUARY OF THIS YEAR. I FEEL THAT MERCEDES HAS KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ISSUE AND THAT IT SHOULD BE COVERED UNDER A LIFETIME WARRANTY. THESE VEHICLES ARE ON THE ROAD FOR MANY YEARS AND CAUSING UNSAFE HEALTH SITUATIONS...I HAVE CHILDREN THAT RIDE IN MY CAR! THEY CANNOT TOLERATE THE FUMES. MY FINAL CONTACT WITH MERCEDES WAS TODAY..THEY ARE VERY SORRY BUT REFUSE TO CORRECT THE WELL DOCUMENTED ISSUE WITH MY FUEL SYSTEM. *TR
AFTER FILLING VEHICLE GAS TANK, EXTREMELY STRONG FUEL ODOR NOTICED IN CABIN AND OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE. SMELL EXISTED BOTH AT STANDSTILL AND AT STREET SPEEDS (40MPH) WITH WINDOWS DOWN OR UP. *TR

I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT (LUCKILY) AND MY CAR STARTED ROLLING FORWARD. I PRESSED THE BRAKES HARDER AND THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR AND THE CAR CONTINUED ROLLING FORWARD. I THREW THE CAR INTO PARK AND TURNED ON MY HAZARDS. THE POLICE SHOWED UP. HE TRIED PUTTING THE CAR IN DRIVE TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD BUT IT WOULDN'T GO INTO GEAR. MY HUSBAND SHOWED UP, TURNED THE CAR OFF AND THEN ON AND THE CAR WAS ABLE TO BE MOVED TO A CLOSE PARKING LOT. WHEN WE BROUGHT IT TO A MERCEDES DEALERSHIP, THEY FOUND CODES (C233D, C22BC, C23BD, C223C, C26DE, C25D5) FOR PRESSURE SYSTEM FAILURE AND PRESSURE FAILURE TO ALL FOUR TIRES AT THE SAME TIME. WE WERE TOLD THAT THE BRAKES NEEDED TO BE FLUSHED BEFORE ANY SENSOTRONIC WARRANTY WORK WOULD BE REIMBURSED. SO WE PAID $465.99 TO HAVE THEM FLUSHED AND WERE TOLD THAT THE SYSTEM WAS RETESTED AND NO PROBLEMS WERE FOUND. I WAS GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT WHEN THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, BRAKE EARLY AND PRESS THE BRAKES REALLY HARD. IF WE GET A DIFFERENT CODE NEXT TIME, THEY WILL BE COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. WE HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH MERCEDES AND THEY HAVE REFERRED US BACK TO THE EXPERTISE OF THE DEALERSHIP.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCEDES BENZ E320. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE RUBBER SEAL AROUND THE SUNROOF SHIFTED OUT OF PLACE AND ALLOWED RAIN WATER TO ENTER THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WATER ALSO ENTERED THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CAUSED SEVERAL ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURES. THE CARPET WAS ALSO SOAKED FROM THE WATER. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT IT WAS DIFFICULT TO START THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE ELECTRICAL FAILURES. THE CONTACT PLACED TAPE AROUND THE SUNROOF TO PREVENT FURTHER WATER INTRUSION. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V918000 (VISIBILITY). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 190,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCEDES-BENZ E500. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE BRAKES LOST POWER AND DID NOT STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE 'STOP DRIVING THE VEHICLE' WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MERCEDES-BENZ OF ENCINO (888-280-0902, LOCATED AT 16721 VENTURA BLVD, ENCINO, CA 91436). I was sold this car and because I did not know what the red "STOP CAR TOO LOW WARNING" meant when I was driving it home, I was not only scammed by the used car dealership with no recourse, but I also was tricked into driving this car while it was not supposed to be driven for safety, per the manual of the vehicle. I will include a picture of the safety message from the manual where it states, "HIGH PRIORITY MESSAGES APPEAR IN THE MULTIFUNCTION DISPLAY IN RED COLOR". and the STOP CAR TOO LOW message states very specific safety instructions that a reasonable person could not know. I am filing this recall complaint because how the system operates. I was sold this car while the struts were faulty and had already developed a leak and because the car was currently running the AIR COMPRESSOR was able to keep up with the leak during the test drive because a slow leak will only go back down after an extended time period which I believe the dealer knew because he asked me how much I was trying to spend and all of a sudden he pulled my car out of their shop telling me they just got the car and haven't put it out yet. Please help me. When I parked the vehicle at a Golf course parking lot during the test drive I was with my uncle, I did look up mechanic shops but because the car dealership was located in Farmington, MN there was no place feasibly close enough for me to have the vehicle properly inspected. The issue is the ride of the vehicle on the air suspension was perfect so there was no way of me knowing the car was not supposed to be driven over 50 mph which you will see on the safety instructions, and the vehicle could have caused an accident because there was no way of me knowing the suspension being too low could cause the wheels to rub on the wheel well if the car is too low. I even added more radiator coolant the next day when I was driving the car and the STOP CAR TOO LOW WARNING came on again. Over $5000 in repairs that I had to do because of safety, please help me.
CAR WAS ELEVATED ON A 2 POST CAR LIFT AND WE WERE WORKING ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BODY. 2 SHARP BLOWS WERE STRUCK ON A BOLT HEAD ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR WITH A HAMMER IN AN EFFORT TO LOOSEN THE BOLT. AFTER THE SECOND BLOW, THE DRIVERS SIDE SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. THE CAR WAS STATIONARY, THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN NEUTRAL AND THE IGNITION KEY WAS TURNED TO THE ACCESSORY POSITION.
THE WARNING LIGHT INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY IS ILLUMINATED. COULD THIS BE A MANUFRACTURING DEFECT?
FUEL PUMP UNDER WARRANTY AND MERCEDES DEALER REFUSED TO REIMBURSE FOR REPAIR
STRONG GAS ODOR AROUND AND INSIDE THE CAR
TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 MERCEDES-BENZ E320. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED, ANOTHER VEHICLE SWITCHED LANES INTO THE PATH OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE CONTACT SWERVED TO THE RIGHT AND CRASHED INTO A CURB TO AVOID THE OTHER VEHICLE. SOME OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. SMOKE APPEARED INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE INSURANCE COMPANY TOWED THE VEHICLE TO A FACILITY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH MERCEDES OF LITTLE ROCK AND REFERENCED MFG RECALL # 2019120012 AND NHTSA RECALL # 19V918. WHEN I SHOWED UP THIS MORNING AT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER, I WAS TOLD THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE. I ATTEMPTED TO SHOW THEM THE WEBPAGE INFORMATION WITH MY PHONE AND THEY SAID IF IT DOESN'T SHOW UNDER THEIR VIN LOOKUP, THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. IS THERE A WAY TO APPEAL OR OTHER RECOURSE? THANK YOU
