THE FAILURE CAUSED THE CONTACT TO REAR END THE PRECEDING VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED BY THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 50,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE LOWER HYDRAULIC UNIT FOR THE ABS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER IS THE ONLY ONE THAT SELLS THE PART. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND IS LOCATED AT THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE SPEED WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 110,000.

CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION WHILE DRIVING 35MPH, THE PASSENGER AIR BAG DEPLOYED, HOWEVER THE DRIVER AIR BAG DID NOT, CONSUMER WAS INJURED AND HAD TO MISS 47 DAYS OF WORK, FORD SEN CONSUMER A REFUSAL OF LIABILITY STATING THAT THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH IMPACT FORCE TO TRIGGER AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, THIS VEHICLE ONLY HAD 190 MILES AT TIME OF INCIDENT, HOWEVER CONSUMER NO LONGER FEELS SAFE WITH IT, DEALER REPLACED THE CONTROL MODULE, NO REPRESENTATIVES EVER CAME FROM FORD TO INSPECT VEHICLE, TWO RECALLS, 00V27 AND 00V412, DEAL WITH AIR BAG PROBLEMS. *SLC
VEHICLE HAS ACCELERATED 3 TIMES WHEN CONSUMER WANTED TO SLOW DOWN. APPLIED BRAKES, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO SLOW DOWN. FINALLY, HAD TO TAKE VEHICLE OUT OF GEAR TO SLOW DOWN. DEALER CANNOT FIND CAUSE. *AK
