HEAD LIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS WILL TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING
I HAVE A SERIOUS DANGEROUS SITUATION GOING ON WITH THE HEADLIGHTS THAT COULD END WITH FATAL RESULTS. THE HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT BY THEMSELVES AT NIGHT WHICH COULD RESULT IN A CAR CRASH. THE LIGHTS WILL GO OUT WITHOUT WARNING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION WHEREVER YOU ARE.
IN FIRESTONE STORE PARKING AREA PERPENDICULAR TO SERVICE FOR ATTENDANT TO FILL THE RT FRT TIRE. PULLED UP TO ATTENDANT , APPLIED BRAKES AND VEH SURGED AHEAD, STRUGGLED TO CONTROL TO NO AVAIL. MADE DIFFUCULT U TURN TO AVOID DRV INTO STREET TRAFFIC, CRASHED OTHER VEH, CONT'D ON JUMPING 2 INSIDE PK CURBS STOPPING AS FRAME STOPPED RES ON CURB

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS REPAIRED EARLIER PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE REPAIR COST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THE RECALL REPAIR WAS A ONE-TIME REPAIR AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT PROVIDED.

IN ADDITION, THE AIR SUSPENSION THAT CONTROLLED THE SHOCKS FAILED TO HOLD AIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO PERRY'S FORD (205 E HWY, HOLDENVILLE, OK 74848, PHONE NUMBER: (888) 307-3779), BUT THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE REPAIRED BECAUSE THERE WAS NO ONE THERE WHO COULD REMEDY THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 123,000.
RECALL 15S39: MY LIGHTS WERE WORKING JUST FINE BUT I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE. WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE AN APPOINMENT I SAID I HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH MY LIGH BUT THE LETTER SAID IT MIGHT OCCUR AT ANYTIME. I DRIVE APPROX. 35,000 MILES PER YEAR. MAY 17,2017 I MADE APPOINMENT.FOR JUNE12,2017. WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A NEW MODULE WAS INSTALLED. JUNE 14, 2017 MY LIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING. THEY SUDDENLY CAME BACK ON. LATER THAT EVENING THEY WOULD NOT COME ON AT ALL. (IT STAYS ON AUTOMATIC). I GOT THE MANUAL LIGHTS TO COME ON . NO BRIGHT LIGHT ONLY INTERMITTANT BRIGHTS. THE NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO GEM CITY FORD. AFTER AN HOUR THEY SAID THEY WERE O.K. 10 P.M. THE LIGHTS WENT OUT AGAIN. I USED MANUAL. CALLED THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL BACK.THEY DIDNOT WITH MORE THAN ONCALLS NEVER TO BE CALLED BACK. THEN I LEFT A NOTE I WOULD GET IT CHECKED WHILE OUT OF SATE. THEN I GOT A CALL REQUESTING THAT I BRING IT IN. I WAS LEAVINE THE STATE F OR A WEEK. CAME BACK TO TOWN THE NEXT WEEK TOLD THAT THE PATCH THAT WAS PUT IN WAS WORKING AND I COULD PURCHASE THE MODULE.THIS IS A DANGEROUS THING . THE FIX CAUSED A PROBLE THAT THE FIX WAS SUPPOSED TO DO. I WANT MY CAR BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS. WHEN DRIVING IT MAKES A POP THEN GOES OUT OR COMES ON. WHEN STARTING THEY MAY NOT COME ON AT ALL. I DON'T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN WHEN I'M GOING THROUGHT THE MOUNTAINS OF GEORGIA OR TENNESSE AT NIGHT. THIS SHOULD HAVE NOT BEEN PATCHED. IT'S LAZY . A PERSONS LIFE THAT BOUGHT THIS VEHICAL SHOULD BE WORTH MORE THAN THAT. NO WAY TO UP LOAD. I CAN FAX.
MY LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON WHEN MY WIPERS ARE ACTIVATED IN THE RAIN. THIS HAPPEN WHEN I AM DRIVING OR STATIONARY.
STEERING COLUMN FAILURES
SAFETY RECALL NOTICE 15S39/NHTSA RECALL 15V-861 NOT COMPLETED ON MY CAR. WAS NOTIFIED BY FORD JAN 2016 THAT REPAIR WOULD BE ACCOMPLISHED BUT IT HAS NOT.
THE RECALL IS OVER A YEAR OLD AND THE LIGHTS ARE NOW FAILING TO COME ON. IF I WACK THE CONSOLE I CAN GET THE LIGHTS ON BUT IT'S GETTING WORSE. WHAT CAN BE DONE TO REMEDY THIS?
I LIVE IN A REMOTE PART OF HAWAII AND AM A PHYSICIAN WHO GETS CALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT FOR EMERGENCIES. I WAS DRIVING ON THE UPPER ROAD WITH SEVERAL DROP OFFS AND MY LIGHTS WENT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. THE HIGH BEAMS DID NOT WORK EITHER, BUT I HAD TO HOLD DOWN THE LEVER FOR THE LIGHTS TO WORK. I ALMOST WRECKED MY VEHICLE AND I COULD HAVE DRIVEN OFF THE ROAD AND KILLED MYSELF. IN ADDITION, MY PATIENT NEEDING EMERGENCY SURGERY COULD HAVE DIED BECAUSE I WAS NOT THERE TO ADMINISTER ANESTHESIA. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. ABSOLUTELY NONE! I HAVE CHANGED FUSES, LIGHTS AND THE LIGHT SWITCH. THIS WAS ON AN ISOLATED HIGHWAY WITH NO LIGHTS IN THE MOUNTAINS ON THE BIG ISLAND. THERE WAS NOTHING TO LIGHT THE HIGHWAY BUT THE STARS. I WAS DRIVING BETWEEN 55-60 MILES AN HOUR. *TR
INTAKE MANIFOLD CRACKED AND LEAKED COOLANT ONTO THE COILS AND SPARK PLUGS. HENCE CAUSING ROUGH RUNNING ENGINE AND LACK OF PERFORMANCE.

LAST FALL, THIS CAR STARTING MAKING CREEKING AND HUMMING NOISES IN THE ENGINE. THE HUMMING NOISE WOULD GO AWAY AFTER ABOUT A MINUTE BUT NOT THE SQUEAKS AND CREEKS AS YOU DRIVE IT. IN THE WINTER, THERE WERE AREAS OF YELLOW-GREEN LIQUID ON OUR GARAGE FLOOR ON A FEW OCCASIONS. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE HEADLIGHT RECALL, AND I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A CRACKED MANIFOLD, AND A BELT PROBLEM WHICH WAS CAUSING THE ANTIFREEZE LEAK. WHEN I SEARCHED FOR RECALLS, I NOTICED A PREVIOUS RECALL FOR YEARS 1996-2001 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS REPAIR IS VERY COSTLY, AND I WONDER IF YOU COULD DO A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR/MODEL CAR BECAUSE I WAS GIVEN IT AS A GIFT AND AM CURRENTLY LAID OFF? I AM ATTACHING FORMER RECALL SETTLEMENT FOR SAME CARS UP TO 2001. THANK YOU.

LCM RECALL - THE DEALER WILL NOT ORDER PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER FOR A FAILING LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE FOR MY 2003 GRAND MARQUIS. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, AND JUST DON'T DRIVE AFTER DARK. I CANNOT GET MY HEADLIGHTS TO WORK AT RANDOM TIMES. THEY WILL JUST SHUT OFF, OR NOT COME ON AT ALL OCCASIONALLY. CAR CAN BE IN MOTION, OR STATIONARY.
STEERING WAS VERY STIFF AT TIMES. LOWER POWER STEERING SHAFT HAD TO BE REPLACED.

JAN 2016 GOT A RECALL NOTICE ON THE CAR JUNE CALLED LOCALL DEALER. THERE RESPONSE IS THEY DIDN'T. KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE RECALL WHICH WAS THAT THE HEADLIGHTS COULD GO WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT.

ON 25 APRIL 2016 DRIVING ON A TWO LANE COUNTRY ROAD AT NIGHT BOTH HEADLIGHTS SUDDENLY TURNED OFF. I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO A FARM ACCESS SPACE AND AVOIDED THE DITCH. ALTHOUGH THE PARKING LIGHTS SEEMED TO WORK I WAS NOT ABLE TO TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. FINALLY AFTER MANY TRYS WITH THE LIGHT SWITCH THE HEADLIGHTS DID COME BACK ON. I WAS ABLE TO REACH HOME WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT BUT NOW FEAR DRIVING CAR AT NIGHT!

WHILE DRIVING MY LIGHTS JUST SHUT OFF BY THEMSELVES AND I HAVE TO HOLD THE LEVER TOWARDS ME TO CONTINUE TO HAVE LIGHT UNTIL THE SENSOR DECIDES TO SHUT BACK ON. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND I HAVE 2 SMALL CHILDREN THAT I RIDE BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL IN THIS VEHICLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE NUMBER TWO CYLINDER SPARK PLUG MISFIRED AND THE HEAD OF THE MOTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 178,000.
UNEXPECTED ACCELERATION WHEN CAR IS STOPPED AT A LIGHT, CAR LUNGES FORWARD. ON ONE OCCASION THE CAR WAS BURNING RUBBER . VERY DANGEROUS AND SCARY. HAVE TO SHUT OFF IGNITION WHEN THIS HAPPENS. HAS OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. MY WIFE REFUSES TO RIDE IN THE VEHICLE.
A SPRING IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT BUCKLE FAILED, CAUSING THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL TO ILLUMINATE AND DEACTIVATE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IN THE EVENT OF A FRONT IMPACT REQUIRING AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE SEAT BELT AND BUCKLE WAS REQUIRED TO BE REPLACED. THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED EVERY TIME THE DRIVER FASTENS THE SEAT BELT. THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF WHEN THE DRIVER FASTENS THE SEAT BELT. THE DEALER TRACED THIS TO A FAULTY SEAT BELT LATCH. FROM READING ON OWNERS' BLOGS OF THIS MODEL, OVER SEVERAL YEARS INCLUDING MY MODEL YEAR, MY PROBLEM DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A UNIQUE OR RARE OCCURRENCE. THE MOST COMMON CAUSES ARE WORN OR BROKEN SPRINGS ON THE SWITCH IN THE SEAT BELT LATCH. THE SWITCH IN THE SEAT BELT LATCH NOT RECOGNIZING THE DRIVER IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT WITH THE SEAT BELT FASTENED CAUSES THE LIGHT TO GO ON AND DEACTIVATE THE AIRBAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM FOR THE DRIVER. THIS SAFETY ITEM SHOULD BE A MODEL RECALL.

I WAS DRIVING AND MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. I COULDNT SEE THE ROAD. THEY NEVER CAME BACK ON. I WAS ON A CITY STREET

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,141.
LOSS LIGHT POWER WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON CITY STREET, WHICH WAS PROBABLY CAUSED BY A DEFEATED CONTROLLING LIGHT MODULE, AS SUGGESTED IN THIS RECALL.
THE LIGHTS, TO INCLUDE BLINKERS AND BRAKES, SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING. THIS VEHICLE BELONGS TO MY 85 YEAR OLD MOTHER, WHO LIVES ON A LIMITED BUDGET.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RACK AND PINION, STEERING PUMP, AND THE POWER STEERING PRESSURE HOSE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SCHOOL AT 8:30 P.M. ON MONDAY OCTOBER 5, 2015 AND MY LIGHTS SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I AM NOW STUCK IN A PARKING LOT UNTIL THE SUN RETURNS AND CAN DRIVE SAFELY.
