There are 8 owner-reported brakes complaints for the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlanderin NHTSA's database. These are unverified consumer reports and may not reflect confirmed defects.
This problem has been reported to the local dealership whom fixed the recall and they are refusing to correct the other problem that is related to the recall. The emergency brake will not release in lower freezing temperatures and or it will release and while driving seize up and stop the rear driver side tire. This causes an instant swaying of the vehicle and could potentially cause vehicle to roll if this happens at higher speeds. So far it has only happened under 35 mph. The dealership claims it’s the cable for the emergency brake that need to be replaced and there is not faulty parts that had been replaced under the recall. On that same wheel that this problem occurs the caliper has been stuck and worn. Down the pad and now is wearing into the rotor. It’s only on one side and everything that was listed under the recall for 2016 models and newer seems to match the problems with this vehicle as well. All the brakes and rotors were replaced a year ago. A tire was replaced after it had seized up and was dragging, wearing down the tire in one spot. I am asking that my vehicle have another inspection by a different facility that would be willing to look further and assist in reporting reconsideration to include the repairs that are needed on this vehicle.

I'VE BEEN DRIVING THIS CAR SINCE DECEMBER 2017. EVERY SINCE I'VE PURCHASED A VEHICLE THE BRAKES ARE ALWAYS SQUEAKING WHEN YOU BACK UP.
