Lights are very dim no matter what kind I use on my head lights low beams
Both rear lower control arms broken
The contact owned a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled. The accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle hesitated and was slow to respond while continuing to jerk. The RPMs revved up and was fluctuating. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the warranty coverage was denied due to the transmission fluid not being flushed and replaced. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired and later sold. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 116,000.
• Fuel and Electrical system failure • Vehicle caught fire on I-10 in Grandbay, Al while driving. • No • There was a police report filed and a claim filed with my insurance company but I only had liability. • All the lights on dash came on prior to the car catching fire. I have suffered total loss!!!
The right rear suspension rusted from the frame of the car ,making the car unable to drive!
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at night at an undisclosed speed, the headlights failed to provide adequate illumination. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
I’m reporting that all four locks on the car doors inside simultaneously broke one by one in the same way clearly this is an manufacturer issue and unsafe and doesn’t allow passengers to exit vehicle from the inside.

The reflecting mechanism in the headlamps are causing the headlights to display a dim light. It makes it difficult to be able to see past about 5ft and extremely difficult to see at night, the vehicle has been inspected by a dealership and an auto shop. The problem started a couple months ago but there was no indicator or warning before the problem occurred.
I have never been in a wreck or have had any reason for my airbags to not work. My driverside airbag light stays on now and my passenger side turns off randomly even when someone is sitting in it, including my 6'2, 180 lb, 16 year old son.
My right rear control was completely broken when I was driving 70MPH on the expressway and I was nearly in a major accident. The car swerved to right severely. The other rear control arm was cracked.
2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO BROKEN REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM. THE CONSUMER REQUESTED TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE RECALL REPAIR, DUE TO IT BEING A KNOWN DEFECT.
The torque converter in my 2014 Nissan Altima S locked up according to the inspection done by my local Nissan dealership. This vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of my passenger was put at risk as my car stalled while pulling into the center median lane of a busy street. My problem has been confirmed by the inspection done by my local Nissan dealership. There were no warning lights, messages, or symptoms prior to the incident.
Transmission failure. Car will not move/accelerate/change gears. This u expected defect can take a driver by surprise and cause them to lose control or hit by other moving vehicles. Inspection will have to be done at the car site.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the warranty had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 98,000.
The vehicle jerks and stutters while accelerating. In some cases it can lose power completely, which is extremely dangerous when driving at any speed, but particularly on the highway. I’ve also researched this issue online and it is a well known transmission defect with Nissan CVT transmissions and many people have experienced the same issue. I’d be shocked if nobody has been injured or killed.
Left rear seat seatbelt latch will not lock. Tried middle seat position belt tongue in the left rear latch and confirmed the latch does not engage.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle hesitated during acceleration and then stalled. Additionally, the vehicle was jerking and shuddering while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,123.
Defective headlamps that delaminate and result in dimming of the low beam headlights. Driving at night is hazardous. My car failed headlight inspection at dealership on 5/07/22. Claimed that my car was not reflected in the system as one eligible for free replacement under the class action lawsuit depsite the fact I followed all instructions. Furthermore the dealerships do not have the headlights in stock and are on backorder. They cannot give a date when they will be in. And the cost is $1400!!!!! I fear this car and other Nissan cars with dimming headlights are accidents waiting to happen. I limit my driving at night and use high beams when possible. I am a senior citizen with vision issues. Please advise. Thankyou. Denise Puttre deniseputtre@gmail.com 508-446-0939
transmission failed twice. first time i would have to floor the gas for the car to accelerate. i took to dealer, warranty was still active and transmission was replaced. again, about 13 or 14 mo later the transmission failed again. i had it replaced again. i have receipts for all work. the car has been driving fair the last 12 months.
I was driving to work. 2 minutes after I exited the expressway, my car made a popping sound and I was unable to control or steer my car properly. I later found out that the control arm on my car was broken. If it broke 2 minutes earlier, I would've crashed my car on the expressway and I could have lost my life and/or endangered the life of others. Nissan apparently had an extended warranty on the control arm. There should've been a safety recall instead!
Was driving then noticed car made awkward movements the steering wheel started to turn sideways. Blind spot warning light then came on. I pulled car off street into safe area then noticed rear driver side wheel caved in and rear lower controll bar broken
1. Component/System Failed: Halogen headlamp assemblies (low beams) malfunctioned due to delamination of the reflective surface, causing dimming. Available for inspection upon request. I have had the issue for years. Hard to see at night. 2. Safety Risk: Dim low beams reduce nighttime visibility, increasing risk of collisions. Using high beams to compensate may blind other drivers, creating further hazards. 3. Problem Reproduced/Confirmed: Not yet confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. Issue matches known defect in 2013-2018 Altima halogen headlamps (TSB NTB15-111). 4. Inspections: No inspections by police, or insurance yet. I did have it inspected with the Santa Rosa California (Jim Bone) Nissan dealer inspection under Voluntary Service Campaign (PC861/PC890). That dealer said it was not bad however the headlights were bad before and after that so I believe they lied or didn’t test it correctly. That was in 2022 I believe. 5. Warning Signs/Symptoms: Gradual low-beam dimming noticed, first observed around 2017 perhaps. I just thought it was bad but it got worse. I saw in 2020 or 2021 some notice about a class action lawsuit (Suarez?) that Nissan lost so I tried to get them to fix it but they had various dates they said claims had to be done and it was confusing. I called Vallejo Nissan and they said I had to wait. Later it kept getting worse. No warning lamps; low beams too dim for safe driving, requiring high beams. 6. Description (if uncertain): Low beams are dim, compromising safe nighttime driving. Issue aligns with reported delamination defect in halogen headlamp assemblies. Exact onset date/mileage UNKNOWN. Sought dealers inspection for replacement under Nissan’s campaign but they didn’t take care of it. Nissan should be held responsible if any deaths, injuries or damages result from this issue. They should fix this asap! This is a major common issue you should already have on file.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who was unable to determine the air bag failure, however, while the contact was getting their transmission repaired they noticed the air bag warning light was no longer illuminated. Approximately 2 months after the repair the air bag warning light had illuminated again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle was shaking. While in reverse, the vehicle stalled and lost motive power. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified but provided no additional assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 117,081.
Rear left lower control arm broke while vehicle was in motion almost causing a loss of control. Vehicle was towed to a local repair shop for inspection and repairs
In a front end collision going over 65 mph my airbags did not deploy. Car was not drivable and was totaled.
Left rear lower control arm broke alsoknow asl link arm right rear lower link arm has cracks
Was going into the turn lane and heard a thunk. Around 35mph. After turning I noticed my car wasn't driving straight. Looked under my car and found the lower control arm broken. Was rusted out.
BOUGHT CAR LAST YEAR NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANY ISSUES A YEAR AND SOME MONTHS LATER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES GOT OIL CHANGED THEY TOLD ME TRANSMISSION ISSUE CAME ON THEIR COMPUTER . CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DISSAPPEAR THEN REAPPEAR GOT DIAGNOSTICS DONE AGAIN ITS BEIN READ AS A CVT JUDDER GOT SENT TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES MULTIPLE REPAIR SHOPS ALL SAYING CVT JUDDER I SEARCH ONLINE AND ITS SAYING ITS A COMMON ISSUE WITH NISSANS FROM 2013 TO 2017 WHY IS THERE NO RECALL IM BEING TOLD TOTAL TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION IS 6,000 DOLLARS IS REDICULOUS
Airbag warning light in instrument panel is illuminated red and does not go off. I was told by my Nissan dealership this is not included in the recall for the passenger side airbag problem that I had previously. My vehicle has not been in any accident that would have caused the airbags to deploy and there has not been any type of water damage that could have damaged the sensor to the airbag.
The headlights are extremely dim due to Nissan's design flaw. There was a settlement in 2022 to have these replaced for free. However, the Nissan dealership conveniently passed my headlights (as well as many others, as stated in online forums), and we were unable to qualify for the replacements despite the lights being so dim that I had to switch to my high-beam lights in many situations. Now, after the settlement has expired, Nissan has failed my headlights and is asking for $1360 to replace the assembly. I find this action from Nissan to be in bad faith.
The car has dangerously dim headlights. I can barely see ahead of me at night. I live in Florida and was driving in the rain at night (not by choice) and I had to go extremely slow because I could not see a thing. I contacted the dealer but they said I do not qualify for the headlight recall and I recently got the car serviced and my headlights passed inspection. However, I’ve read many complaints online from other owners with dim lights that Nissan dealerships are passing.
Rear left lower control arm broke due to severe corrosion. Causing loss of control of car and almost a bad accident
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving approximately 55 MPH, the vehicle veered to the right. The traction control warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who informed the contact that the passenger's side lower control arm had fractured and the driver's side control arm was corroded. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 149,000.
Rear control arm fell off while driving.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle made an abnormal sound while going over a bump. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the driver's and passenger’s side front lower control arm needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
Right rear lower control arm separated from frame. Vehicle pulled right toward adjacent lane. In construction zone with no shoulder to utilize. Had to cross into an acceleration lane then slowly make way to safe pull-off. Problem confirmed by visual inspection. No warnings. Nissan did not notify me of a replacement program. Notification was to begin in 2019. Consumer was not informed of a replacement program and had to deal with a failed component and a tow from a construction site.

I bought a used 2014 Nissan Altima on/around April 13th 2022. Two weeks later my transmission gave out with barley any warning. I was driving to pick up my daughter after work when I noticed some delayed shifting. Assuming it was the car needing transmission fluid, I drove home and had planned to take the car to get it serviced at the dealership where I bought it the next day. When I left my house with my daughter the next day I got maybe 10 miles from my house when the transmission completely failed and the engine light came on. I was stalled in the middle of the road, with no working gears. The dealership I bought the vehicle from towed the car and put me in a loaner for two weeks. No clue on the price of repairs or if I’ll even be able to afford it.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the hood of the vehicle suddenly unlatched, causing significant damages to the hood and roof of the vehicle and shattering the front windshield. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while her cousin was driving 50 MPH during the night, the low-beam headlights became inoperable. The contact activated the hi-beam headlights to illuminate the roadway for greater visibility. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was driven to the local dealer but was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
Headlight recall is not being done even though the dealership did the test and said lights failed. I'm on month 4 waiting for a replacement. Claim code# NIZ-11408256001-1145581. Dealership info: Five Star Nissan - 839 Warren Dr, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
I own a Nissan Altima 2014 SV 4 cylinder. While driving the car stops moving and it just relies on momentum, the gas pedal stops functioning. This has happened to me multiple times I then have to turn off the car and turn it back on so it can work and it does the same thing again. I stepped on the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it doesn't respond. I started doing research and I ran into this website where people are suffering from the same problem and it has put my life and multiple people's lives in danger. These cars all range in year but the make and model is the same, Nissan Altima. I saw some posts that stated that they had the same problem with very low mileage on their vehicles. I took it to the dealership they weren't able to fix it and they gave it to me back malfunctioning and with the same safety issue and the check engine light on. I would kindly ask that this department gets involved immediately. The dealership wanted me to pay a diagnostic and refused to check the car unless I purchased new battery car terminals. I ended paying for a service I didn't need to get a car that was still malfunctioning. I refused to pay for the diagnostic after a 20 minute discussion they decided not to charge me but I had to fight for the fee to be waived. The problem is the car is still undrive-able.Here are other stories from other people with the same exact issue. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t63248_ds999189
the passenger seat airbag light stays on,seat belt light stays on
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Altima. The contact stated while driving approximately 65 MPH, the hood inadvertently flew open while driving. The inadvertent opening caused damage to the hood. The contact pulled off the highway and securely latched the hood. The contact then drove the vehicle safely to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 48,000.
Lower control arm on rear left broke as I was driving 35mph and lost control. Highly unsafe.
The rear lower control arm snapped on the vehicle and Nissan is aware of this issue through p9324 that I found online. Per the online information it is only covering 13 models in the salt belt states in the US and 13 & 14 models in Canada. This is a very dangerous condition and should be a recall of all models and years that have these parts installed in all salt belt areas.
CVT failed Car struggled to move if you go to 0 stop in signal or in freeway due to heavy traffic. Engine warning sign appeared in dashboard.
