TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE APPROACHING THE OFF-RAMP DRIVING 70 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM FRACTURED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO VEER TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY AND INSPECTED THE VEHICLE FOR A POSSIBLE BLOWOUT OF THE TIRES HOWEVER, THERE WERE NO DAMAGE TO THE TIRES. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED ON THE FLAT BED, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE DRIVER SIDE CONTROL ARM WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO MATTHEWS NISSAN (3101 VESTAL PKWY E, VESTAL, NY 13850, (607) 729-3511 WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE LOWER CONTROL ARM FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE REPAIR WAS STILL PENDING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED NHTSA ACTION NUMBER: EA19002 (SUSPENSION) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000.

I BOUGHT A 2014 NISSAN IN 2017 ALTIMA MAKE: I HAD TAKEN THE CAR IN BECAUSE IT WOULD DELAY IN REVERSE. I HAVE THE RECEIPT ON THE DATE I WENT IN, 08/27/2018 ; THEY NOTE ON IT "COULD NOT DUPLICATE CUSTOMER CONCERN. THERE WAS A SECOND TIME I TOOK CAR IN FOR THE SAME REASONS, THEY COULD NOT FIND RECEIPT. NOW LOOKING BACK ON, 08/20/19 I HAD PROBLEMS WITH GETTING PARK IN GEAR, IT WOULD GET STUCK, THE INVOICE SAYS INTERNAL FAILURE TO INTERNSHIP SOLENOLD REPLACED INTERLOCK SHIFT. I FOUND ON THIS INVOICE IS WHEN I TOLD THEM THERE WAS A DELAY, NOTE: NO PROBLEM FOUND AT THIS TIME", I RECEIVED A LATE NOTE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CVT TRANSMISSION, MY CAR BROKE DOWN ON 08/06/2020 ED HICK AGREES TO PAY 1/2 OF BILL $4,1000 IN ANY AVANT I WAS TOLD THE RECALL CAVED HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH FIXING TRAIN, I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASE THE CAR THAT THE RECALL REPROGRAMMING WOULD AFFECT THE TRAIN IF NOT CAUGHT IN TIME. I CAN NOT PAY AND SHOULD NOT PAY FOR A FACTORY RECALL ON THIS DAMAGE DONE. I JUST LOST MY JOB, AND ELDERLY, AM HANDICAP. CASE NUMBER [XXX], CAMPAIGN NUMBER PC490. dangerously low headlight visibility. replaced headlight at Nissan a month ago and still dim headlight.

THE VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO EXCEED 2 MPH WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE SHUDDERED WITH AN ABNORMAL SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED FOR THE COMPUTER TO REBOOT. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE MANUFACTURER CITING A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER EXTENDED THE WARRANTY COVERAGE TO 7 YEARS OR 84,000 MILES. O'NEIL NISSAN (849 STREET RD, WARMINSTER, PA 189740) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THERE WAS NO DTC CODES RETRIEVED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER FOR A SECOND OPINION. A FIELD TECHNICIAN WAS SENT TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE FIELD TECHNICIAN HAD NOT SHOWN UP TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. MONTGOMERYVILLE NISSAN (991 BETHLEHEM PIKE, MONTGOMERYVILLE, PA 18936) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO FAILURE CODES WERE RETRIEVED. BOTH DEALERS INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT OTHER NISSAN VEHICLE OWNERS HAD REPORTED THE SAME ISSUES HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER HAD NO REMEDY FOR THE REPAIR SINCE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE REPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,665.

AIR BAG LIGHT FOR PASSENGER SEAT KEEPS COMING ON WHEN IN MOTION

NISSAN OF ST. AUGUSTINE (2755 US-1, ST. AUGUSTINE, FL 32086) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DIAGNOSED WITH A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION PRESSURE SENSOR SWITCH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO CLEARED THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT AND INFORMED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO NISSAN OF ST. AUGUSTINE (2755 US-1, ST. AUGUSTINE, FL 32086) AND SHE WAS INFORMED THAT SINCE THE CHECK ENGINE WAS NOT ILLUMINATED, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM ANY REPAIRS TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT LEFT THE VEHICLE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER FOR A FEW DAYS HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE DEALER RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE CONTACT AND INFORMED HER TO RETURN THE VEHICLE ONCE THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT REAPPEARED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG IS LIT WHEN STARTING AND REMAINS LIT WHILE DRIVING. MY CONCERN IS THE AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY ON IT'S OWN WITHOUT IMPACT OR POSSIBLE WILL NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT.
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON EVEN WHEN SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT NOW THE ONE ON THE DASHBOARD IS STAYING ON NO CODES COMING UP ON COMPUTER THIS IS HAPPENING WHEN CAR IS IN MOTION AND STATIONARY TRIED RESETTING LIGHT IS STILL ON
RECENTLY THE HOOD RELEASED WHILE IN MOTION ON A BUSY CITY STREET, NUMBERED ROUTE, CAUSING ABSOLUTE OBSTRUCTED VISION AND NEAR COLLISION. THE DAMAGE TO THE HOOD AND FENDERS HAS CREATED VERY SHARP JAGGED METAL EDGES. NO POLICE ACCIDENT REPORT OR INSURANCE CLAIM AS OF YET. RECALL NUMBER 20V-315. FEELING AS THOUGH THIS IS NOT AN INSURANCE CLAIM SITUATION REQUIRING CASH DEDUCTIBLE ON MY PART.
Headlights are very dim to the point it's a safety issue. Only getting worse over time and it looks like I have no headlights on . Have to drive with brights on to see road and other cars can see me .
LOW BEAM LIGHTING IS EXTREMELY DIM MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO OPERATE AT NIGHT.
MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS ARE BECOMING DANGEROUSLY DIM TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. THEY HAVE BEEN WHAT I BELIEVE DIM FOR A FEW YEARS, BUT HAVE BEEN PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE. TO THE POINT I FEEL IT IS NOW A SAFETY HAZARD FOR ME TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. AFTER DOING RESEARCH, I AM REALIZING THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2014-2106 NISSAN ALTIMA. I GUESS THE COATING INSIDE THE PROJECTOR BEAM LIGHT HOUSING WEARS OFF OR DETERIORATES PREVENTING A GOOD BEAM OF LIGHT. CHANGING TO A HIGHER QUALITY LIGHT BULB ALSO DOES NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM. ONLY WAY TO FIX IS APPARENTLY TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE LIGHT HOUSINGS WHICH FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND COST AROUND $1000 FROM NISSAN. I HAVE SEEN ENOUGH COMMENTS FROM OTHER NISSAN ALTIMAS WITH THIS SAME GENERATION, THAT I FEEL THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT NISSAN SHOULD BE ADDRESSING.
THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH MAY BECOME STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION DUE TO A POTENTIAL FOR CORROSION (IN REGIONS WITH EXCESSIVE ROAD SALT USE) IN THE HOOD LATCH COMBINED WITH IMPROPER INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE. REMEDY IS NOT AVAILABLE NOW!
LLEFT, REAR LOWER SUSPENSION CONTROL ARM BROKE. THIS WAS DISCOVERED BY THE INSPECTION STATION. WE HAD BEEN HEARING A GROANING/SQUEAK FOR 4 WEEKS BEFORE IT WAS DISCOVERED.
BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT REAR CONTROL ARMS CRACKED DUE TO RUSTING. MY CAR OPERATES IN OHIO, A STATE THAT USES SALT TO CLEAR THE ROADS. ALL THE 2013 MODELS WERE RECALLED FOR THIS MANUFACTURING DEFECT, HOWEVER MY CAR WAS BUILT 9/29/13 AT THE START OF THE 2014 PRODUCTION. THEY WERE STILL USING THE SAME PARTS, SINCE AT THIS POINT THEY DID NOT KNOW THEY WERE DEFECTIVE, BUT DID NOT RECALL THE CARS INVOLVED TO BE REPAIRED. THE RESULTING LOSS OF CONTROL COULD BE FATAL IF IT HAPPENS ON THE FREEWAY. FORTUNATELY, MY CAR DID NOT EXPERIENCE THAT CATASTROPHIC LEVEL OF IMPACT. HOWVER, IF MY CAR WAS SHIPPED TO CANADA IT WOULD BE PART OF THAT AS THEY RECALLED ALL 2014'S. WHY ISN'T THAT THE CASE HERE AS THEY ALL CAME OFF THE SAME ASSEMBLY LINE WITH THE SAME PARTS. THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED IN THE U.S. MY CAR STARTED MAKING VERY LOUD CLUNKING NOISES AS THE PARTS WERE CRACKING AND I STOPPED DRIVING IT AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY ISSUE, AND NISSAN KNOWS IT EXISTS, LOOK AT ONLIMNE REVIEWS WITH THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAVING THIS ISSUE, INCLUDING YOUR OWN SITE, AND YOU CAN SEE JUST HOW BAD THIS ACTUALLY IS. PLEASE TAKE THE STEPS TO EXPAND THIS RECALL FOR THE SAKE OF ALL OF US WHO OWN THIS CAR.
transmission felt as if it was slipping into different gears while driving forward. pulled vehicle over put it in park and then put it in reverse- at that time the vehicle went forward instead of reverse. at that time the vehicle was put into park and turned off. Waited a few minutes and then turned vehicle back on, put it into drive and it took 10 sec to drive forward I then put the vehicle in reverse and the same thing happened, it took 10 seconds to move in reverse. took the vehicle in and the repair man said it was the CVT- I have 93K miles on the car. It has been in storage since July 2020.

WHILE DRIVING IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE ON A STATE HYW 165 TRAFFIC HAD STOPPED AND WE JUST WERE SLOWLY BEGINING TO ACCELERATE WHILE CHANGING LANES TO NAVIGATE AROUND THE EQUIPMENI IN THE ROAD. AS I CHAGED LANES IT FELT ASTHOUGH THE BACK END OF THE CAR SLID OUT. I NOTED THAT I HAD TO KEEP THE STEERING WHEEL TURNED 45 DEGREES TO THE LEFT TO DRIVE STRAIGHTAND THE SLICK ROUD WARNING LIGHT ON THE DASH ACTIVATED. AFTER PULLING OVER IN A SAFE LOCATION I FOUND THAT THE PASSANGER SIDE REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM HAD BROKEN.

THE CONTACT CALLED TEAM NISSAN MANCHESTER LOCATED AT 70 KELLER ST, MANCHESTER, NH 03103, AND INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS A REPLACEMENT PROGRAM HOWEVER, THE PROGRAM WAS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 92,000.
AS I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET, THE HOOD POPPED OPENED AND HIT THE WINDSHIELD. MY VISION WAS OBSTRUCTED BUT I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THERE IS EVIDENT DAMAGE TO BOTH FENDERS AND POSSIBLY THE HOOD. I CURRENTLY DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. NISSAN ACKNOWLEDGES THE FAILURE AND INCIDENT, HOWEVER WILL NOT REPAIR MY VEHICLE. *TR
AFTER TURNING A CORNER, THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN ON AN ICY ROAD AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS ALIGNED TO THE RIGHT EVEN THOUGH THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN ON A STRAIGHT ROAD. DID NOT DRIVE THE CAR AGAIN UNTIL IT WAS TAKEN IN FOR REPAIR. TWO DAYS LATER, WHEN DRIVING THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR (ABOUT 5 MILES AWAY), THE DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WAS WOBBLING, SEVERELY SHAKING THE CAR. DROVE THE CAR ONLY 25 MPH. ONCE AT THE REPAIR SHOP, REPAIR NEEDED WAS FOR THE CONTROL ARM. LEARNED THE 2013 NISSAN ALTIMA MODELS HAD A RECALL FOR THE CONTROL ARM. OUR CAR IS A 2014. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS IN LATER MODELS. *LN*JB
I BROUGHT A 2014 ALTIMA FROM A DEALERSHIP IN 2018. I NOTICE WEEKS AFTER I PURCHASED THE CAR THAT IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY AND EVEN STALL OUT WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY OR TRYING TO ACCELERATE AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. I HAD A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN. NOW A LITTLE OVER A YEAR LATER THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING AGAIN. THE MECHANIC SAYS THAT ITS THE SAME PROBLEM DUE TO A FAULTY TRANSMISSION PART(CVT) TRANSMISSION. THIS SHOULD BE RECALL DUE TO NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS I HAVE SEEN AND MOSTLY THE DANGER IT IS CAUSING FOR NISSAN CUSTOMERS. THIS IS A HAZARDOUS AND COSTLY ISSUE. NISSAN SHOULD RECTIFY THIS IMMEDIATELY

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE OCCUPANTS OF THE OTHER VEHICLE ALSO SUSTAINED INJURIES HOWEVER, SHE WAS UNAWARE OF THEIR INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER DEEMED THE VEHICLE A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT AUTO BODY FACILITY. THE CONTACT STATED NO LOCAL DEALER WAS CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED AS SHE RESEARCHED ON-LINE AND FOUND SEVERAL RECALLS THAT INVOLVED THE AIR BAGS NOT DEPLOYING HOWEVER HER VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALLS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.
LEFT REAR LOWER CONTRL ARM BROKE WHILE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN.WAS ABLE TO PULL OF THE ROAD AND HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP AD WAIT WHILE THE PART WAS ORDERED.
HOOD LACH BROKEN AND DISENGAGES AUTOMATICALLY WITHOUT BEING OPENED BY CAR OPERATOR. CAN OPEN WHILE THE CAR IS STATIONARY OR OPERATING. THE MANUFACTURER SENT ME A RECALL NOTICE TO SAY THE REMEDY WOULD NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MID 2021. I THINK THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE GIVEN THE HOOD MAY FLY OPEN WHILE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEEDS AND THE DRIVER IS UNABLE TO SEE OUT OF THE FRONT WINDOW. I AM WRITING BECAUSE THIS SITUATION PRESENTS A PTENTIAL EMERGENCY.

I've been to two different Nissan service dealerships with the past month and neither have been able to fix the hood latch recall from May 2020.
MY LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE BARELY LIGHTING UP THE ROAD EVEN AFTER CHANGING THE BULBS. IT'S COMING FROM THE SILVER HOUSING PART THAT HOLDS THE BULBS AND NISSAN NEEDS TO REPLACE THIS. I ALMOST HIT A PERSON WALKING LAST NIGHT. I WAS DRIVING DOWN A DARK ROAD GOING SLOW. I HAVE TO USE MY FOG LIGHTS JUST TO HELP ME OUT SOME AND IT'S STILL NOT ENOUGH LIGHTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 140,000.

I HAD AN AIRBAG LIGHT COME ON RECENTLY. MY NISSAN DEALER SAID THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE SIDE AIRBAG WHICH IS BUILT INTO THE DRIVER'S SEAT AND WOULD REQUIRE THE BACK PORTION OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A 2014 ALTIMA WITH LESS THAN 30K MILES ON IT ALREADY HAVING AN AIRBAG FAULT OUT OF NOWHERE WITH NO ACCIDENT. IT CONCERNS ME THAT I AM HAVING TO FOOT A $1600 BILL TO FIX A PIECE OF SAFETY EQUIPMENT THAT THE MANUFACTURE SEEMS TO HAVE POORLY MADE.
I PURCHASED MY 2014 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH ONLY 6 MILES ON IT IN 2014. I ONLY DROVE MY CAR FROM SCHOOL TO HOME, AS THIS WAS MY WORK VEHICLE. I FINISHED PAYING FOR MY NISSAN IN NOVEMBER OF 2019. MY NISSAN RECENTLY REACHED 90,000 MILES AND BEGAN TO SHUT DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE BEGAN TO JERK AND IT WOULD NOT MOVE IT WERE PLACED IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. THEN AT TIMES WHEN PLACED IN DRIVE THE ENGINE WOULD SHAKE AND ROAR LOUDLY, AND SHUT OFF. MY DAD HAD TO COME AND TOW THE CAR IN TWICE DUE TO IT NOT SHUTTING DOWN ON THE INTERSTATE AND IN TRAFFIC. THE NISSAN WOULD JUST STOP ACCELERATING AND LOSE POWER. IF IT CRANKED BACK UP AT STOP LIGHTS OR STOP SIGNS IT WOULD ACCELERATE SO SLOWLY THAT I WOULD GET CAUGHT UNDER RED LIGHTS OR IN THE MIDDLE OF ON-COMING TRAFFIC. IT WOULD SLOWLY PICK UP SPEED WITH THE ACCELERATED PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, BUT THERE WOULD BE A BURNING SMELL THAT THE CAR WILL GIVE OFF AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ENGINE IS IN THE WRONG GEAR, WHILE IN DRIVE. *TR
