TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED AT START-UP THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO STONE MOUNTAIN NISSAN (4275 US-78, LILBURN, GA 30047) WHERE THEY INFORMED HER THAT THE AIR BAG IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE FOR THE AIR BAG REPAIR BUT DECLINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,024.
MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA'S TRANSMISSION JUST WENT OUT AT A MERE 95,000 MILES. I JUST HAD ALL THE TIRES AND BRAKES REPAIRED READY TO GO FOR INSPECTION AND THE TRANSMISSION RANDOMLY FAILED WHILE MAKING A DELIVERY FOR UBER EATS. THE VEHICLE JUST STARTED STALLING OUT AFTER STOPPING AND GOT WORSE FROM THERE. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANYTHING IT JUST WON'T SWITCH GEARS. I TURNED ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS AND WENT HOME AND IT WOULDN'T GO ABOVE 50, I'M LUCKY I EVEN MADE IT HOME. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CVT TRANSMISSION I HAD LOOKED AT 3 YEARS AGO AFTER SOMETHING SIMILAR HAPPENED AND I SAW A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT RELATED TO THIS BUT NOW I AM OUT THE REPAIRS ON THE BRAKES AND TIRES AND STUCK WITHOUT A VEHICLE AND I RELY ON UBER EATS. I THINK I GOT SOLD A LEMON. EVER CAR ME OR EVERYONE I KNOW HAD WENT UNTIL EASILY 200-250K MILES BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION WENT ON OLDER VEHICLES; NOW A "NEWER" VEHICLE GOES OUT UNDER 100K? THAT'S WHY THERE'S A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OUT FOR THIS AND I REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN ON IT BECAUSE NOW I'M OUT THE COST OF REPAIRS, I CAN'T DO MY JOB WITHOUT A CAR, AND I'M STUCK WITH THE BILL FOR A CAR THAT DOESN'T WORK SO I'M JUST OUT THAT MONEY.
MY VEHICLES TRANSMISSION I WAS TOLD IT HAS TO DO WITH TRANSMISSION I THOUGHT IT WAS A CV JOINT I NOT BUT IT TURNED OUT TO BE WAY MORE THEN THEN THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDDLE WOULD GET STUCK AND THEN TAKE OFF FAST ALMOST HIT SOMEONE.
Brought car to Nissan Dealership and diagnostic reports air bag driver side needs to be replaced. No specific incident occured to prompt the light to be on it just came on one day.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP, THERE WOULD BE A DELAY TO ACCELERATE WITH THE TRANSMISSION LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE TO FIX THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE: P0776 (PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID B PERFORMANCE OR STUCK OFF) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WHEN I FELT A SLIGHT JOLT AND IT FELT LIKE I HAD A FLAT. I PULLED OVER AND WHEN I GOT OUT TO LOOK AT VEHICLE I NOTICED DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL WAS OUT OF ALIGN. I LOOKED UNDER VEHICLE AND I SAW THE REAR CONTROL ARM CORRODED AND BROKEN IN TWO.
WIFE EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL DUE TO THE RIGHT REAR LOWER CONTROL ARM BREAKING WHILE DRIVING. TOWED TO NISSAN DEALER AND CONTACTED CORP CUSTOMER CARE. I REFERENCED NISSAN SERVICE CAMPAIGN P9324 AS PARTS FOR LISTED 2013/14 ALTIMA WERE SAME AS MY WIFE'S 15. FIRST REP DECLINED ANY ASSISTANCE IN REPAIR, NEXT REP TODAY STATED WILL REVIEW. THIS NEEDS TO BE COVERED FOR ALL YEARS USING THIS PART IN AREAS EFFECTED BY ROAD SALT USE. HAD THIS BEEN AT HER USUAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS WOULD HAVE BEEN TRAGIC ACCIDENT WITH LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND ABILITY TO STOP.
LIGHT ARE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH TO EVEN SEE AT NIGHT DRIVING ON DIM, HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAM ON WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS

THE LOW-PRESSURE TIRE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHCILE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT CALLED BERTERA NISSAN (569 OXFORD ST S, AUBURN, MA 01501, (508) 832-9611) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,656. THE CONSUMER STATED THE CAR WAS REPAIRED BY CRANSTON AUTO REPAIR.
THE HOOD OF MY CAR KEEPS JAMMING BUT HAS A WEIRD NOISE AT TIMES WHILE IN MOTION. THE DEALERSHIP IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS I'M GUESSING BECAUSE NO ONE NEITHER THE CARS ARE THERE. IT'S AN EMPTY LOT.. THE LAST TIME AS I WAS DRIVING AROUND A CURVY STREET THE HOOD POPPED OPENED UNEXPECTEDLY
WHEN STATIONARY IT HAS A DELAYED ACCELERATION
WHILE DRIVING THE 'TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT' CAME ON AND THE CAR FELT AS THOUGH IT HAD A FLAT. TIRES LOOKED GOOD. WENT HOME. THE NEXT MORNING THE DRIVERS SIDE REAR LOOKED AS THOUGH THE BODY OF THE CAR WAS ALMOST RESTING ON THE TIRE. A REPAIR GARAGE IS NEXT STORE TO US. BROUGHT IT TO THEM. THEY CALLED TO SAY THAT THE REAR CONTROL ARM DRIVERS SIDE RUSTED AND BROKE AND THAT THE RIGHT SIDE NEEDED REPLACING TO. NISSAN IS NOT HONORING A KNOWN DEFECT AND THE INSURANCE COMPANY SAID THAT UNLESS IT WAS IN AN ACCIDENT, THEY WOULD NOT COVER IT EITHER. WE ARE STUCK PAYING TO REPLACE BOTH REAR CONTROL ARMS AT OUR EXPENSE. WHEN NISSAN IS AWARE THAT IT IS THERE ISSUE AND IT SHOULD COVER ALTIMA'S FROM 2013-2018. OURS IS A 2015. WE LIVE IN ONE OF THE SALT ROCK STATES. THIS IS A REAL SAFETY ISSUE AND NISSAN SHOULD HAVE TO MAKE THE REPAIR FREE OF CHARGE AND NOT LET THE CONSUMER FOOT THE BILL. UNTIL FIXED WE DON'T HAVE OUR PRIMARY VEHICLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
DIM LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS THE LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS ARE VERY DIM AND IT HAS HAPPENED PROGRESSIVELY. REPLACING THE BULB DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND NECESCETATES DRIVING WITH THE HIGH-BEAM HEAD LIGHTS, WHICH IS DANGEROUS FOR OTHER DRIVERS.
Dim lights do not provide adequate lighting. Even after replacing bulbs, amour of light given off on dim setting does not provide adequate lighting for safe night driving.
PASSENGER AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON. PASSENGER AIR BAG IS OFF.
AT NIGHT TIME I NOTICED MY LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WERE EXTREMELY DIM. LIKE ALMOST CAN'T EVEN SEE THE ROAD DIM WITHOUT SITTING RIGHT AGAINST MY STEERING WHEEL. SO I TURN MY HIGH BEAMS ON TO SEE IF THEY WERE DIM TOO BUT THOSE WERE NORMAL. I REPLACED THEM ALL WITH LED AND THE PROBLEM STILL WAS NOT RESOLVED. I DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH MY HIGH BEAMS ON UNTIL I MEET AN ONCOMING VEHICLE AND THEN I USUALLY CAN'T EVEN SEE THE ROAD UNLESS MY BRIGHTS ARE ON(WHICH IS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR THEM AS WELL). IN THE CITY, MY LIGHTS DO NOT EVEN APPEAR THAT THEY ARE ON AT ALL
WHEN I TURN MY CAR ON AND THE WHOLE TIME IT IS RUNNING THERE IS A NOISE UNDER THE HOOD SOUNDING. YOU CAN NOT HEAR IT FROM INSIDE BUT WHEN YOU ARE OUTSIDE YOU CAN MOST DEFINITELY HEAR IT AND TELL THE CAR IS ON DUE TO THE NOISE.I THOUGHT IT MAY BE A FAN NOISE DUE TO MAYBE LEAVING THE AC ON BUT EVEN WITH IT OFF AND JUST TURNING ON THE CAR YOU CAN HEAR IT. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT TO MY KNOWLEDGE OR ANY FENDER BENDERS AT THAT. ALSO SOMETIMES AFTER SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT OR STOP SIGN AND IT'S MY TURN TO GO I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS (NOT HARD) AND IT GOES UP TO LIKE 3/4 RPMS AND IT TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO DROP DOWN TO REGULAR RPM WHILE DRIVING
THE HOOD SAFETY LATCH FAILED CAUSING THE HOOD TO FLY OPEN. THE HOOD CRACKED THE WINDSHIELD AND DAMAGED TWO BODY PANELS ON THE CAR. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED ON A 4 LANE STATE ROUTE TRAVELING WEST GOING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. I HAD JUST TURNED ONTO THE ROAD AND WAS ACCELERATING.
I KEEP GETTING EMAILS FROM CAR FAX REGARDING A SAFETY RECALL: THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH MAY BECOME STUCK IN THE OPEN POSITION DUE TO A POTENTIAL FOR CORROSION (IN REGIONS WITH EXCESSIVE ROAD SALT USE) IN THE HOOD LATCH COMBINED WITH IMPROPER INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE. BUT THE RECALL STATUS IS INCOMPLETE: REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE. IT'S BEEN LIKE THAT FOR MONTHS AND I AM WONDERING IF I SHOULD BE CONCERNED.

TRANSMISSION FAILURE NOT COVERED UNDER RECALL BECAUSE IT IS OVER 84,000 MILES

The high-beam headlights were activated for safe driving. The vehicle was not taken to the local dealer to be inspected. The contact contacted the local dealer and it was stated that the headlight assemblies needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH RECALL HAS BEEN OUTSTANDING WITHOUT A REMEDY FIX FOR TO LONG. IT CAME OUT MAY OF 2020. IN 4 MONTHS IT WILL BE A YEAR. I'M NOT ABLE TO DO MY SECOND JOBS WITH THE OUTSTANDING RECALL. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP. NISSAN NEEDS TO PROVIDE CUSTOMER WITH A LOANER UNTIL SOMETHING IS DONE BECAUSE IT'S A SAFETY ISSUE AND I DON'T WANT THE HOOD FLYING UP.
THE DIM HEADLIGHTS ARE EXTREMELY DIM, ALLOWING ME NOT TO DRIVE SAFELY AT NIGHT UNLESS I HAVE MY HIGH-BEAMS ON. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. I'VE REPLACED THE HEADLIGHTS WITH NO IMPROVEMENT.
THE HEAD LIGHTS BARELY WORKS AT NIGHT. IT LOOKS AS IF I DON;T HAVE THEM ON. GET A LOT OF COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE. AFTER MEETING ANOTHER CAR YOU HAVE TO STOP AT NIGHT. I HAVE 2006 NISSAN SENTRA NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM.
LOW BEAMS HAVE DEGRADED TO AN UNSAFE SITUATION. I CANT SAFELY SEE AT NIGHT WITHOUT HIGH BEAMS. SHOULD BE RECALLED. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS.

The contact stated while driving at various speeds at night, the headlights low beam did not function properly, and the contact had to use the high beam to see the road ahead. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the contact could not recall the diagnosis. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the vehicle was out of warranty and did not provide financial aid. The failure mileage was unknown.
2015 Nissan Altima power steering. 1. While driving the vehicle does not track steady. I constantly must correct as it sways on a straight road. 2. Periodically the steering goes out, the steering becomes stiff, it is an extreme safety issue to maintain control of the vehicle. Vehicle was take to a dealer for inspection the faulty power steering pump was confirmed, quoted $1800.00 including labor to replace. These issues occur without warning at any time. Proper fluid and fluid levels have been checked. The first occurrence of the steering becoming stiff was approximately January 2021. The swaying started probably about a month to two months earlier.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN A BUSY ROAD WHEN MY 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA STARTED SWERVING I PULLED OVER TO FIND MY REAR PASSENGER TIRE FACING INWARDS COME TO FIND OUT THE TOW TRUCK EMPLOYEE TOLD ME HAD JUST TOWED THE EXACT SAME KIND OF VEHICLE WITH THE SAME LOWER CONTROL ARM BREAK THE WEEK BEFORE. I SEE THERE IS A SERVICE CAMPION FROM NISSAN BUT AMY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED WHICH MAKES NO SENSE BECAUSE I LIVE AND HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN A WINTER STATE

THE FRONT HEADLIGHTS ARE SO DIM IT MAKES SEEING VERY DIFFICULT. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH NISSAN. THE 3RD LANE TURNED INTO A TURN LANE ON A CITY STREET THAT I COULDNT SEE DUE TO THE POOR LIGHTING AND WE STRUCK A CURB BLOWING OUT BOTH RIGHT SIDE TIRES AND RUINING THE WHEELS.
MY DAILY COMMUTE TAKES ME THROUGH RURAL, RELATIVELY UNLIT AREAS AT NIGHT. THIS HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY UNSAFE IN THE LAST YEAR AS MY HEADLIGHTS HAVE DIMMED TO THE POINT WHERE I AM UNABLE TO SEE MORE THAN 60-70 FEET IN FRONT OF ME. THIS POSES A SIGNIFICANT HAZARD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR AS DEER ARE ABUNDANT IN THE AREA I DRIVE THROUGH AND ANY AMOUNT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER FURTHER HINDERS SAFE DRIVING.

VEHICLE IN MOTION, HIGHWAY AND CITY STREET DRIVING. THE LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUSLY DIM. IF DRIVING ON A ROAD NOT OTHERWISE LIGHTED BY STREETLAMPS, NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE THE ROAD AHEAD. HIGH-BEAMS ALWAYS HAVE TO BE USED. CHECKED GROUND WIRE, REPLACED BULBS WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUES FOR A WELL OVER A YEAR.
HELLO, I DRIVE A 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA. I'M WRITING BECAUSE I BELIEVE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY ON THIS VEHICLE ARE DEFECTIVE. THEY'VE QUICKLY CORRODED AND DO NOT PROVIDE THE PROPER LIGHTING FOR SAFE DRIVING AT NIGHT. THE LIGHTING IS EXTREMELY DIM, AND HAZY AT ALL TIMES. I OFTEN HAVE TO USE MY FOG LIGHTS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WHICH ARE BRIGHTER THAN MY HEADLIGHTS. IF I'M ABLE TO WITHOUT IMPACTING ANOTHER DRIVERS VISION I HAVE TO DRIVE WITH HIGH BEAMS. I AM A 22 YEAR OLD WITH 20/20 VISION SO THEREFORE THE ISSUE IS NOT MY OWN VISION OR MOTOR SKILLS. I HAVE REPLACED BOTH HEADLIGHTS 2 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR WITH HIGH GRADE HEADLIGHTS AND IT HAS MADE ZERO DIFFERENCE. I ALSO SEE THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS GENERATION OF NISSAN ALTIMA'S. THE VEHICLE HAS THIS ISSUE AT ALL TIMES.

MY CAR AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING BUT I DIDNT THINK MUCH ABOUT IT, I DROVE IT LIKE THAT FOR A COUPLE MONTHS, MY HUSBAND TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO GET CHECKED OUT, FIRST DEALER TOLD ME THE COST WAS GOING TO BE 1600.00 AND THEY QUOTED ME THE PART WAS GOING TO COST 1200.00, I REFUSED TO PAY THAT MUCH AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE PRICE LOWERED TO 900.00 BUT THEY COULDN'T FIX IT BECAUSE THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER, SO THEY RESET THE AIR BAG WHEN I LEFT THE DEALER THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS OFF, THE NEXT DAY THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON, A FEW DAYS LATER I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER TO SEE WHAT THEY WOULD SAY, FIRST DAY THEY RESET THE AIRBAG LIGHT I ASKED IF THE AIRBAG IS ACTIVATED THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW, I SAID WELL ITS STILL A SAFETY ISSUE, I ASKED HOW CAN THE AIRBAG BE DEPLOYABLE THEN, HE SAID WE WILL NEED TO CHANGE OUT THE AIRBAG, SO THEY ORDERED THE AIRBAG AND EVENTUALLY REPLACED IT, I ASKED WHAT IF THE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN HE SAID THEN WE WILL HAVE TO SEE WHATS NEXT ON THE LIST OF PARTS TO REPLACE, SO IN OTHER WORDS IT JUST CHANGE OUT PARTS BY TRIAL AND ERROR, I DROVE OFF AND THE FOLLOWING DAY WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND UNFORTUNATELY I AM DRIVING MY CAR WITH OUT A ACTIVATED AIRBAG, I AM AFRAID TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE COST AND TRIAL BY ERROR THEM NOT KNOWING HOW TO PIN POINT THE PROBLEM, CURRENTLY THE AIRBAG LIGHT STAYS ON AND I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT MY AIR BAG IS NOT ACTIVATED WHILE THAT LIGHT IS ON.
WELL I BOUGHT MY 2015 ALTIMA A YEAR AGO AND NOW IT TRIES TO OVER HEATED, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE BOUNCES BACK AND FORTH, AND WHEN I PUT IT IN REVERSE IT WILL MOVE BUT AFTER I THROW IT IN DRIVE I LOSE ALL POWER WITH ACCELERATION THE CAR ON JUST NO REV OR ANYTHING
I CHANGE MY DIM HEADLIGHTS AND I STILL CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ON 2015 NISSAN ALTIMA
DRIVING DOWN THE US23/119 INTERSTATE NEAR PIKEVILLE, KY THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED DECELERATING FROM 60 MPH AND WOULD NO LONGER ALLOW ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE SPEED KEPT DECREASING UNTIL IT WAS GOING LESS THAN 20 MPH AND TH DRIVER HAD TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER A TOW TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED TO BE A FAULTY TRANSMISSION. THE DANGER WAS IT OCCURRED SO SUDDENLY WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WITH NO WARNING AND VEHICLES EASILY COULD HAVE COLLIDED WITH OUR VEHICLE. UPON LEARNING OF THE REPAIR NEEDED I SEARCHED FOR OTHER SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THE NISSAN ALTIMA. I FOUND THERE WAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT FOR 2013-16 VEHICLES DUE TO FAULTY TRANSMISSION. THE SUIT SETTLED WITH AN EXTENSION OF THE WARRANTY BY 24 MONTHS OR 24,000 MILES. HOWEVER, THIS RESOLUTION, IN MY OPINION, IS NOT SUFFICIENT TO PROTECT THE CONSUMERS FROM PAYING OFTEN IN EXCESS OF $3000 FOR A REPAIR AND THE RISK OF LIFE WHILE DRIVING A KNOWN FAULTY PRODUCT. NISSAN SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO INCREASE THE WARRANTY PERIOD TO BE MORE TIED TO THE LIFE OF A TRANSMISSION AND PROTECT CONSUMERS OF POTENTIAL INJURIES DUE TO THEIR KNOWN FAULTY PRODUCT.
WHILE LEAVING A PARKING LOT I WENT DOWN A STEEP RAMP AND THE RIGHT REAR CONTROL ARM BROKE I PULLED OVER TO CHECK AND THE ARM LOOK RUSTED OUT.
WHEEL SENSOR WIRING NEEDS TO BE FIXED. I WAS ADVISED THIS IS NOT A COMMON PROBLEM.
CAR RANDOMLY STALLS AND STUTTERS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT APPEARS. CAN CLEAR CODE BUT THE PROBLEM ALWAYS COMES BACK. HAPPENS ABOUT ONCE A MONTH, SOMETIMES DAYS IN A ROW.
HEADLIGHTS ARE REAL DIM THE LENS ARE CLEAN AN CLEAR CANT HARDLY TELL THEY ARE ON
