OCCASIONALLY WITHOUT ANY WARNING CAR DO NOT MOVE FOR FEW SECONDS EVEN AFTER PRESSING ACCELERATOR FIRMLY AND AFTER FEW SECONDS CAR JUST MOVED SUDDENLY AND AT HIGH SPEED AGAIN WITHOUT ANY WARNING. IT MOSTLY HAPPEN WHEN I STOP AT TRAFFIC LIGHT AND SOMETIMES WHEN I AM DRIVING SLOW. NO OTHER WARNING LIGHTS IN MY CAR AND SERVICES IS UPTODATE.
AT 61,000 MILES (JUST 1000 MILES AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRED), THE CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. IT STARTED AS A KNOCKING THAT OCCURRED WHILE SHIFTING GEARS. THE NEXT DAY, THE ENGINE VIOLENTLY FLUCTUATED BETWEEN GEARS WHILE GOING ~60 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. IT THEN REMAINED IN THE HIGH GEAR AFTER THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP AT A RED LIGHT.
THE KEY FOB IS NOT REGISTERING WITH THE VEHICLE. BOTH FOBS HAVE BEEN CHANGED. I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT SAYS INCORRECT KEY ID. ONCE THE CAR BATTERY WAS JUMPED IT STARTED WITH NO ISSUES. THE BATTERY WAS THEN IMMEDIATELY TESTED AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FREQUENTLY. THE CAR WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW AND IVE BEEN HAVING ISSUES SINCE
THE LATCH LOCK CABLE MAY NOT HVE BEEN ROUTED PROPERLY IN THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR , WHENEVER LOWERING THE WINDOW THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR TO UNLATCH AND INADVERTENTLY OPEN WHEN THE WINDOW IS LOWERED OR NOT. MOST OF THE TIMES YOU NEED TO CLOSE TWO OR THREE TIMES TO PROPERLY LOCK.
THIS VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW FROM ANDERSON NISSAN - LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ AND WE ALSO PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY (UP TO 60,000 MILES). AT APPROXIMATELY 64,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION BROKE DOWN COMPLETELY. WHEN THIS WAS TOWED TO THE ORIGINATING DEALERSHIP, WE SPECIFICALLY ASKED IF THERE WERE ANY "KNOWN TRANSMISSION ISSUES" WITH THIS VEHICLE MAKE/MODEL/YEAR. WE WERE ONLY TOLD "THIS CAN SOMETIMES HAPPEN". WE HAVE SINCE LEARNED THAT THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE. ANDERSON-NISSAN CHARGED US $3700 TO REPAIR THE TRANSMISSION AND IS NOT ACCEPTING ANY RESPONSIBILITY OR REPLYING TO ANY EMAILS AS TO THEIR LACK OF TRANSPARENCY REGARDING TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
'TAKATA RECALL' I HAVE THE 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA I BOUGHT IT ON FEBRUARY 28,2019 AND ON MARCH 2, 2019 WHILE DRIVING IT AT 35 MILES PER HOUR THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T SHIFT FROM FIRST GEAR REVING UP PAST 6 ON THE MARK STARTED TO JERK AND SO I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT ON THERE SCANNER THEY SAID THAT MODELS 2012-2016 ALTIMA'S AND VERSA ARE HAVING ISSUES SHUTTING DOWN WHILE DRIVING AND BRAKES FAIL AND TRANSMISSIONS DO THAT ONCE CAR GETS SOMEWHAT HOT NISSAN NEEDS TO RECALL THESE CARS AND FIX THE ISSUES I'VE SEEN IT ON THE NEWS OF OTHERS COMPLAINTS AND ONLINE BUT NISSAN STILL TO MY KNOWLEDGE HASN'T ISSUED THE RECALL NISSAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE A GREAT CAR THAT'S WHY I BOUGHT IT I'VE OWNED THE TITAN NO ISSUES AND A NISSAN MAXIMA NO REAL ISSUES EITHER I TRUST NISSANS THE MOST TO BE SAFE AND RELIABLE I HAVE CHILDREN I CAN'T BE STUCK BECAUSE OF NISSANS REFUSAL TO MAKE THESE REPAIRS
HEADLIGHTS HAVE BEEN DIM FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. THIS MAKES DRIVING AT NIGHT DIFFICULT. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE MAGNIFIER AND THAT CHANGING THE BULB WON'T FIX THE PROBLEM.
THE CAR IS BARELY 3 YEARS OLD AND I BROUGHT IT NEW WITH ONLY 8 MILES. THE CAR STARTED HESITATING WHILE IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE. THAT'S WHERE I NOTICED THE HESITATION FIRST. THE ISSUE OCCURS ON THE HIGHWAY, CITY STREETS, TURNING, AND CAR HAS HAD ISSUES WHILE IN MOTION. WHEN IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR HAVE TO STOP TO MAKE A TURN THE CAR HESITATES ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS AND THEN TAKES OFF. THIS HAS CAUSED ME TO ALMOST BE IN SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. I THOUGHT IT WAS BAD GAS SO SWITCHED GAS STATIONS AND IT STOPPED FOR A WHILE AND THEN STARTED BACK. WHILE DRIVING CAME TO A STOP TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE CAR HESITATED AND THEN WHEN THE TURN WAS COMPLETE THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PASS 40MPH. I CAME TO ANOTHER STOP SIGN, CAR HESITATED, AND CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PASS 20MPH. I HAD TO PULL OVER TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. IT STARTED ACCELERATING PROPERLY BUT STILL WITH THE HESITATION FROM A STOP. I TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN AND THEY DID A DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR $125 WHICH LED THEM TO SAY THAT THE VALVE BODY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED OR THE CAR NEEDS A NEW CVT. THE DEALERSHIP REQUEST ANOTHER $400 TO INSPECT THE TRANSMISSION TO SEE WHICH WAY IT COULD BE FIXED. ($1100 VALVE BODY AND $4000 CVT REPLACED. THIS IS VERY COSTLY AND A 2016 CAR SHOULD NOT NEED A TRANSMISSION. THERE IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH NISSAN'S CVT THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF UNTIL NOW. AMONG OTHER THINGS THE SERVICE ADVISOR ADVISED THAT THIS JUST HAPPENS. WELL IT SHOULD NOT JUST HAPPEN IN A 3 YEAR OLD CAR.
WE PURCHASED THIS CAR LAST MAY AND SHORTLY THERE AFTER MAY BE A COUPLE OF MONTHS AFTER I START EXPERIENCING DELAYS ON ACCELERATION. I DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY SO I USE THE CRUISE CONTROL. SO WHEN I STARTED EXPERIENCING THE DELAY ON ACCELERATION I STOP USING THE CRUISE CONTROL, BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE ISSUE. TO SHORTEN A LONG STORY AFTER I STOP USING THE CRUISE CONTROL, THE ISSUE REMAINED. I'M GOING TO GO MORE IN DEPTH ABOUT THE ISSUE. FOR EXAMPLE, I AM STOPPED AT THE STOP LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, I ACCELERATE NOTHING HAPPENS FOR A FEW SECONDS THERE'S A DELAY FOR ABOUT FOUR TO 5 SECONDS AND THEN ACCELERATION COMMENCES IN THE RPMS GO WAY UP. AT THIS TIME I HAVE TO LET UP OFF THE EXCELERATOR AND EASE INTO ACCELERATION NOW. EVERY TIME I GO TO ACCELERATE THE RPMS GO WAY UP THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT WANT TO GO INTO THE NEXT GEAR. I HAVE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TURN OFF THE CAR TO RE-BOOT IT. MOST OF THE TIME THIS WORKS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. SO ABOUT A WEEK AGO I WAS DRIVING HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. NOW I HAVE CODES TO TAKE TO THE DEALERSHIP. WHEN I TAKE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTICS, TRANSMISSION RELATED CODES COME UP AND NOW THE CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. WHEN I PURCHASED THIS CAR IT WAS ABOUT 49,000 MILES ON IT. I STARTED HAVING THIS ISSUE WELL BEFORE I GOT TO 60,000 MILES. 60,000 MILES IS THE CUT OFF FOR NISSAN'S POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. IF I HAD GOTTEN THE CODES BEFORE 60,000 MILES, IT WOULD BE COVERED ON UNDER NISSAN'S WARRANTY. MY GIRLFRIEND CHECKED ON CAR COMPLAINTS.COM AND NOTICED THAT THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHER NISSAN OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. I RESPECTFULLY REQUEST AN INVESTIGATION FOR RECALL ON THIS MATTER. HAD THE VEHICLE CHECKED OUT AT THE LOCAL DEALER DUE TO THE RPM'S JUMPING ON THE FREEWAY AT HIGH SPEED. TOLD ALL WAS WELL, NO PROBLEMS. A WEEK LATER MY CAR LOST ALL POWER PULLING OUT INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. I HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE THAT MANY OTHERS HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AS WELL. THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED. MYSELF AND MY DAUGHTER ARE VERY LUCKY!
CVT TRANSMISSION I PURCHASED THE CAR WITH 49,000 MILES AT NEARLY 70,000 MILES HAD TRANSMISSION REPLACED WITH A USED TRANSMISSION WITH 35,000 MILES NOW INTO YEAR THREE I MAY NEED ANOTHER TRANSMISSION...NISSAN MUST FIX THIS PROBLEM. I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR SHUT OFF...I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND ONCE I PUT THE GEAR INTO DRIVE IT COMPLETELY CUT OFF.
WHEN I AM STOPPED (AT A STOP SIGN, TRAFFIC LIGHT, ETC.) THE CAR HESITATES TO ACCELERATE WHEN I PRESS THE GAS. IT SOMETIMES TAKES 5 TO 7 SECONDS BEFORE THE CAR WILL BEGIN TO ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY, AND THERE IS NO WARNING. THERE HAVE BEEN INSTANCES WHEN THE RPMS REV UP EXTREMELY HIGH AND THE CAR FEELS LIKE IT IS STRUGGLING TO MAINTAIN SPEED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP, AND SINCE THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE THE ISSUE, AND NOTHING SHOWS UP WHEN THEY RUN DIAGNOSTICS, THEY HAVE STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I PURCHASED MY CAR BRAND NEW AND CURRENTLY IT HAS 46,000 MILES, AND I CURRENTLY DON'T FEEL SAFE WHEN DRIVING IT. THIS HAS BEEN RANDOMLY HAPPENING FOR MONTHS.
DOES NOT SHIFT PROPERLY, AFTER DRIVING FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE, IT BUCKS WHEN IT DOWN SHIFTS, MAKES CLICKING NOISES RANDOMLY. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE AFTER IDLING AFTER LONG PERIODS OF USAGE. (THE FUEL DELIVERY IS MESSED UP). THIS HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. YOU CAN BE AT A COMPLETE STOP AND GO TO ACCELERATE BUT HAVE YOUR PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR AND NOTHING HAPPENS. THEN AT 60 MPH ON A HIGHWAY THE VEHICLE WILL ALL OF A SUDDEN JUST ALL OF A SUDDEN BUCK WHEN YOU GO TO PASS SOME ONE.
I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY HAD LOSS OF POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. NO WARNINGS OR CODES APPEARED AND AFTER PULLING OVER FOR 2 MINUTES THE VEHICLE ALLOWED ACCELERATION AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES, AND THE NISSAN CAR DEALERSHIP COULD RESOLVE THE ISSUE
MY CAR IS BARELY 4 YEARS OLD, I'M IN MY EARLY 40S AND I'M VERY NERVOUS DRIVING AT NIGHT, ESPECIALLY WHEN DRIVING ON DARK BACK ROADS. IF A CAR IS COMING FROM OPPOSITE DIRECTION I LOSE SIGHT OF THE LINES ON THE ROAD & HAVE TO DEPEND ON THE CAR COMING AT ME TO JUDGE WHERE I SHOULD BE. IT'S 10X WORSE WHEN THERE'S A NEWER CAR WITH THE BRIGHT LED LIGHTS. THEY ARE BLINDING. EVEN WHEN BEHIND ME, I HAVE TO MOVE MY SIDE MIRRORS. THE REFLECTION IS TOO BRIGHT AND AFFECTS THE POOR LINE OF SIGHT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH DUE TO MY VERY POOR HEADLIGHTS. I'LL ALSO ADD THAT I HAVE TINTED WINDOWS THAT DON'T HELP TO BLOCK THESE LIGHTS. I DID ASK MY EYE DR & HE TOLD ME LOTS OF PATIENTS HAVE COMPLAINTS. I DID READ THAT PREVIOUS YEAR ALTIMAS HAVE POOR HEADLIGHTS. APPARENTLY, IT HAS TO DUE WITH THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, WHICH IS A NISSAN PROBLEM. BELOW IS THE SITE I FOUND WITH INFO ON IT. MY FRIEND HAS A 2018 ALTIMA AND SHE CAN'T SEE AT NIGHT EITHER SO I FELT IT WAS IMPORTANT TO TRY TO DO SOMETHING. I GOT THIS 2016 ALTIMA IN FEBRUARY 2019, CURRENTLY HAS LESS THAN 70,000 MILES AND I JUST HAD THE TRANSMISSION REBUILT. HAD STRANGE ACCELERATION ISSUES SPORADICALLY AND THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T RECREATE THE ISSUE. I TOOK VIDEO OF THE CAR WHEN IT HAPPENED SO I HAD DOCUMENTED PROOF. 2 WEEKS AGO THE ISSUE STARTED AND DIDN'T GO AWAY THIS TIME. HAD PEDAL TO THE FLOOR, STUCK AT 30 MPH AND RPMS AT 5000. WORK WAS JUST FINISHED LAST WEEK THAT WOULD'VE COST ME AROUND $4000 IF IT WEREN'T FOR MY WARRANTY. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I DID GET A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT NOTICE TO NISSAN REGARDING THE CVT......AND WEEKS LATER I WAS ONE OF THE UNFORTUNATE ONES WHO WAS BURDENED AND STRESSED.
HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM ARE ALMOST NON EXISTENT. WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON LOW BEAM YOU CAN BARELY SEE THE ROAD.

THE CONTACT CALLED MORRIE'S BROOKLYN PARK NISSAN AT 612-426-5487 (LOCATED AT 7875 BROOKLYN BLVD, BROOKLYN PARK, MN 55445) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT APPROVE THE REPAIR UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO CLEAR EXPLANATION FOR THE MANUFACTURER'S DECISION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SELLER (CORNERSTONE PLYMOUTH, 763-559-5300, LOCATED AT 3901 VINEWOOD LN N, PLYMOUTH, MN 55441) WHO CONNECTED WITH THE THIRD PARTY WARRANTY COMPANY AND REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A CAR WASH IN JULY OF 2019, THE REAR WINDOW SHATTERED WITHOUT WARNING OR AN IMPACT. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 65,000.
ON WEDNESDAY 1/30/2019 MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING NORTH ON I-17 ENTERING FLAGSTAFF WHEN THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING. THE ENGINE WAS REVING TO ABOUT 6000 RPM BUT THE CAR WOULD ONLY GO ABOUT 5 MPH. SHE MANAGED TO GET THE CAR TO A PARKING LOT AND CALL ME FOR HELP. AFTER ABOUT 30 MINUTES THE TRANSMISSION COOLED DOWN AND WORKED NORMALLY. I HAD HER TAKE THE CAR TO A LOCAL SHOP AND HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. THEY GOT A CODE P0776. THEY CONTACTED NISSAN AND FOUND THE CAR TO BE UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I PURCHASED UNTIL 100,000 MILES. MY DAUGHTER DROVE HOME THE NEXT DAY AND WE TOOK IT INTO PINNACLE NISSAN WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR. THEY COULD NOT GET THE CODE TO COME UP SO ARE UNABLE TO FIX THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS ABOUT THE TENTH TIME THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAS SLIPPED, THIS BEING THE MOST SEVERE. PINNACLE NISSAN AND NISSAN USA ARE TELLING ME TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL THE WARNING LIGHT COMES ON, THEN BRING THE VEHICLE IN FOR A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT. I TOLD THEM BOTH THAT THE WARNING LIGHT HAS NEVER COME ON WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, SO COULD THERE BE A PROBLEM WITH THE CARS COMPUTER ALSO WHICH IS WHY THEY CAN NOT GET A CODE TO COME UP? THEY SAID NO, THAT IS NOT HAPPENING?
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REGAIN ACCELERATION IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. AN UNKNOWN DEALER WAS CALLED AND STATED THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC IF THE ENGINE INDICATOR WAS NOT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
OCCASION DELAYED ENGAGEMENT WHEN TAKING OFF AND SLUGGISHNESS AT ACCELERATION. CAR SLOWLY TAKES OFF AT HIGH RPMS AND MAKES SOUNDS AS IF IN WRONG GEAR. AFTER TURNING OFF CAR, AFTER ABOUT 10-20 MINS CAR SHIFTS PROPERLY.
ENGINE WILL NOT SHUT OFF. MUST DISCONNECT BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR STATIONARY
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH PRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BUT GETTING NO RESPONSE FROM THE VEHICLE AND AFTER 5-15 SECONDS IT GOES UNDER FULL POWER AND LUNGES FORWARD. I HAVE ALSO RECENTLY HAD 2 SITUATIONS WHERE THE VEHICLE SLOWED UP UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING AND AT THE SAME TIME MY RPM METER WOULD START JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND AGAIN WITH NO RESPONSE FROM THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. IN THESE 2 SITUATIONS I PULLED OFF THE ROAD, SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF, SAT FOR ABOUT 2-5 MINUTES AND THEN STARTED IT UP AGAIN WITH NO ISSUES. I HAVE READ SOME OTHER POSTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE STATING THAT THIS COULD BE THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR HOWEVER I HAVE NOT HAD MINE CHECKED YET.
2016 ALTIMA, BARELY 3 YEARS OLD, 71,000 MILES. ABOUT A WEEK AGO, THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK AND SHUDDER AND RPM'S JUMP UP AND DOWN WHEN I ACCELERATE FROM A STOP. BEFORE THE DAY WAS OVER, IT WAS HAPPENING WHILE I WAS DRIVING (ANY WHERE FROM 0-60+MPH). THEN CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN I HIT THE GAS, IT MAY JERK/LURCH FORWARD OR MAY NOT GO ANYWHERE. FELT LIKE IT DIDN'T WANT TO "CHANGE GEARS" (ITS A CVT SO ONLY ONE "GEAR") WHILE JERKING AND ACCELERATING/DECELERATING. VERY DISTRACTING AND CONCERNING TO SAY THE LEAST. TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY TO HAVE THE DIAGNOSTICS RAN. WAS CONTACTED AND TOLD IT WAS THROWING 2 CODES - SUB ASSEMBLY FAILURE AND PRESSURE FLUID SENSOR FAILURE. THESE ARE TRANSMISSION CODES. WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION, $4200 OUT THE DOOR..... IN WHAT WORLD IS IT "NORMAL" FOR A FAIRLY NEW CAR WITH NO PRIOR ISSUES TO HAVE A COMPLETE TRANSMISSION FAILURE?? THE DEALER AGREED THERE IS NOTHING WE COULD'VE DONE TO PREVENT THIS. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND FILED A COMPLAINT, REQUESTING GOODWILL ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR COSTS. I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK TO ME BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS TOMORROW. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. READING THESE COMMENTS, IT APPEARS THAT THE REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSIONS DO NOT PERFORM MUCH BETTER. I WILL BE GETTING OUT OF THIS CAR ASAP.

THE VIN WAS INVALID.
I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE BRAKES INSPECTED AT MULTIPLE PLACES. THE BRAKES AND ROTORS ARE NEW HOWEVER THERE ARE GRINDING ISSUES AND HARD TO STOP WHILE STATION OR IN MOTION ON HIGHWAYS, STREETS, OR TURNING. ON SATURDAY, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I WENT TO A CAR SHOP LATE AFTERNOON AT AND THEY READ CODES FOR 2 ISSUE W/TRANSMISSION AND 1 CODE FOR ABS. THE CAR IS STALLS AT STOPLIGHTS, REVERSE DOES NOT WORK AT ALL TIMES EXCESSIVE EXHAUST WAS COMING OUT OF TAILPIPES. ON HIGHWAY, THE TACHOMETER MOVES FAST WHEN ADDING ACCELERATION AND POWER DELAYS. WHEN I GO TO THE WYLER DEALERSHIPS IN CINCINNATI, OHIO, THEY HAVE 2-3 MONTH DELAY ON TRANSMISSION WORK AND OTHERS IN THE AREA (WYLER EASTGATE) ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH A BACKLOG OF TRANSMISSION WORK - THIS SEEMS TO BE A BRAND ISSUE WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION AND WHEN ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE GETTING WORK DONE ON THEIR NISSAN TRANSMISSIONS AT THE DEALERSHIPS THIS IS DEFINITELY A QUALITY ISSUE. WHILE DRIVING, THE CAR WOULD DECREASE IN SPEED AND ACTED IF IT WANTED TO STALL.I TOOK THE CAR IN FOR AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT WAS READING A CODE WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND AS SCHEDULED TO COME IN 3 DAYS L AS LATER WHEN THE PART WAS IN. AFTER BEING AT THE DEALERSHIP ALMOST HALF A DAY, THEY TELL ME THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REBUILT. THE DEALERSHIP ATTEMPTED TO GET ME TO DRIVE IT HOME (OVER AN HOUR AWAY( AND BRING IT BACK ANOTHER DAY. I WAS NOT GOING TO ACCEPT THIS AND REQUESTED A CAR TO DRIVE, WHICH THEY DID DO SO. HOWEVER, WHEN ENTERPRISE RENTAL PICKED ME UP, THEY IMMEDIATELY KNEW IT WAS TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THEY ARE ONLY GOOD FOR 2 YEARS.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR BEGIN TO HESITATE
I HAVE A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH ABOUT 68,000 MILES AND MY TRANSMISSION HAS TROUBLE CHANGING GEARS AFTER DRIVING IT FOR A FEW MINUTES. AS I CHANGE GEARS FROM 0 TO 40 MPH, THE CAR STARTS JERKING OR TAKES A WHILE TO REACH 40 MPH. IT ALSO HAPPENS WHEN I'M DRIVING AROUND THE CITY AND I MAKE A FULL STOP AT A STOP LIGHT. AFTER THE LIGHT TURNS GREEN, WHEN I START ACCELERATING THE CAR WON'T SPEED UP NO MATTER HOW FAR I PUSH THE ACCELERATOR, AFTER 6-10 SECONDS HAVE PASSED IT'LL START MOVING BUT IN A VERY JERKING MANNER. TO FIX THE ISSUE AT THE MOMENT, I HAVE TO TURN OFF THE CAR AND LET IT REST FOR A FEW MINUTES. BUT, IT STILL DOES THIS EVERY TIME I DRIVE. IN THE HIGHWAY, I CAN NOT GO FASTER THAN 70 MPH BECAUSE ONCE I GET OUT OF THE HIGH WAY AND SLOW DOWN THE CAR WILL HAVE THE SAME GEAR CHANGING ISSUE AND IT FEELS LIKE THE CAR WILL GIVE UP ANY SECOND. THIS WASN'T AN ISSUE WHEN I GOT THIS CAR WITH ABOUT 48,000 MILES ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO. IT STARTED ABOUT 8 MONTHS AFTER GETTING IT AND IT HAS ONLY GOTTEN WORSE. I TOOK MY CAR TO MY MECHANIC TO LET ME KNOW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. SINCE MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND IT DOESN'T FALL UNDER THE RECALL MADE FOR THE CVT TRANSMISSION, MY ONLY SOLUTION WOULD BE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET.

Mossy Nissan El Cajon, didn't report an accident that the car was involved in prior to the sale of the car to me. This car sustained front end damage. Resulting in a repair to the frame/sway bar. Thus effecting the steering and suspension of the car. This car was repaired and paid for by an insurance company. However, Nissan didn't disclose this information, so that the end result was the sale of the car.
CRACKED BUSHINGS HAD TO REPLACE LOWER CONTROL ARMS FRONT RIGHT AND LEFT TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED
I PURCHASED THIS CAR IN DECEMBER 2017; HOWEVER, IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018 THE MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD THE CAR DIAGNOSED BY AUTOZONE FIRST WHICH ADVISED IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PRESSURE FLUID SENSOR. I THEN FOLLOWED UP WITH THE NISSAN DEALER, BOMMARITO ON 661 DUNN RD IN HAZELWOOD, MO. 63042 TO FIND OUT PART OF THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE BUILT, CODE P17F0. THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE OVER 35-40 MPH, AND THE RPMS ARE JUMPING ALL OVER. THE ESTIMATE OF REPAIR IS 4600.00 THIS CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 66,500 MILES ON IT AND I BOUGHT IT WITH APPROXIMATELY 49,000. THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAULTY TRANSMISSION, AS I HAVE HAD CARS WELL OVER 120, 000 MILES AND NO TRANSMISSION ISSUES. THERE IS ONE MORE PERSON I AM AWARE OF WHO HAD THE SAME ISSUE ON A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA.

RPMS WERE JUMPING UP DURING NORMAL DRIVING AND EVEN WHEN THE CAR WAS COASTING. EVENTUALLY (ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER WHILE TRYING TO MAKE IT TO A SAFE STOPPING POINT) THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD OR IN REVERSE. THIS OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING ON HIWHAY AND ON SMALLER ROADS (35 MPH) ALSO. WHEN STOPPED AT TRAFFICS LIGHT IS WHEN IT WOULDN'T MOVE. WE WERE ABLE TO MOVE IT FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF IT SITTING IDOL. HAD IT TOWED.
