MY DAUGHTER ROLLED DOWN BACK WINDOW ON PASSENGER SIDE AND DOOR OPENED UP. NOW THE WINDOW WON'T ROLL DOWN AS FAR AS ITS SUPPOSED TO AND ONCE WE GOT THE DOOR TO CLOSE THE DOOR NOW WON'T OPEN LUCKILY WE HAD NOT PULLED OFF YET AND THE CAR WAS STILL PARK. I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHO SUPPOSEDLY DID THE RECALL WORK AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT DO THE DOOR THEY DID THE TRANSMISSION BUT IT'S NOT SHOWING THAT WE HAVE ANY OPEN RECALLS BUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE DOOR IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALL
As we were getting the highway the breaks had failed and then we some were able to get off the highway but the steering wheel cruise control decided it was gonna work by itself it was a very accident. And not only that my identity has been affected so bad because of the situation with mission and the dealership that I’m unable to use my name for anything anymore my credits ruined and now they want 18 grand for me to pay off the vehicle that’s they purposely made the car look like a rebuild so it was no longer covered I guess because the person set up the insurance with Geico and actually some how have me insurance in my father dl number and later on start changing stuff removing the insurance forging documents My name is [XXX] Email is [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).
REAR DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE PROPERLY, AND WOULD NEVER LOCK. WITH EITHER MANUEL LOCK OR ALARM KEY LOCK. ALSO CENSOR LIGHTS WOULD GO OFFON DASHBOARD OF AIRBAG BEING OFF WHEN NO ONE WAS SITTING THERE.
MY 2016 TRANSMISSION HAS AN INTERNAL ERROR. THE CAR IS 2 YEARS OLD THE TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE. I HAVE 90000 HIGHWAY MILES AND IT'S OUT OF WARRANTY
I WAS DRIVING THE CAR PULLED UP AT STOP LIGHT WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN I PRESS THE GAS CALL WOULD NOT GET POWER UNTIL A FEW SECOND THE CAR WOULD JERK AN SHIFT WHILE DRIVING WAS ALMOST HIT FROM THE REAR BY ANOTHER CAR DUE TO THIS ISSUE TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE CODE READ P0841 SOMETHING WITH TRANSMISSION I JUST GOT THE CAR RARELY DRIVE IT IT HAS 53,909 MILES AN NOW IT'S IN THE SHOP HOPING I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY, AS I APPROACHED THE RAMP, MY CAR STARTED MOVING SLOW. I PRESS THE ACCELERATOR TO PICK UP SPEED, MY CAR JERKED A BIT. AS I PROCEED TO EXIT THE FREEWAY IT PICKED UP SPEED. I ARRIVE AT THE TRAFFIC SIGNAL, STOPPED, WHEN THE LIGHT CHANGED, I HAD TROUBLE WITH MY CAR PICKING UP SPEED. PREVIOUSLY EXPERIENCING THIS SITUATION FROM AN OLD CHEVROLET VEHICLE I KNEW IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I CALLED MY PERSONAL MECHANIC AND EXPLAINED WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH MY CAR, AND I THINK THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. MY MECHANIC EXPLAINED MY CAR IS TOO NEW TO HAVE TRANSMISSION ISSUES, HE ASKED I BRING IT TO THE SHOP. MY MECHANIC IS AN HONEST MECHANIC IF HE IS UNABLE TO REPAIR YOUR VEHICLE, HE WILL NOT TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC HE DROVE MY VEHICLE HIMSELF, RETURN TO THE SHOP IN 5 MINUTES, EXPRESS TO ME, "TAKE YOUR CAR TO NISSAN RIGHT NOW! THERE MUST BE A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSION YOUR VEHICLE IS TOO NEW FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES." MY 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA, I PURCHASED OCOBER 15, 2016 STARTED OUT WITH 22 MILES, I PUT THOSE 22 MILES AFTER TEST DRIVING. NOW AT 66,048 MILES, I AM FACED WITH TRANSMISSION ISSUES. I FOUND NO FACTORY RECALL FOR THE TRANSMISSION. NISSAN FOUND TWO RECALLS, THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT ON THE LIST. I AM DEVASTATED I READ NISSAN'S ARE THE 3RD BEST VEHICLES. MY ALTIMA IS A YEAR AND EIGHT MONTHS OLD. CURRENTLY MY ALTIMA'S TRANSMISSION IS GETTING REPAIRED AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP.
MY CAR ONLY HAS 40,000 MILES I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AT LEAST THEY SOLD IT NEW IN JULY 2016 AT SERRA NISSAN IN BORMINGHAM AL. AND NOW 2 YEARS AS OF 2 MTHS AGO 40,000 MILES LATER . THE REPAIR SHOP HERE IN CHATTANOOGA, TN INFORMWD ME THAT THEY HAD TO TAKE THE WHOLE TRANSMISSION OUT AND REBUILD IT, WHAT? REBUILD UT AT 40000 MILES, THIS IS UNREAL. PLEASE HELP. I NOLONGER HAVE CONFIDENCE IN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE. THIS CAR IS COVERED STILL THANK GOD UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY BUT HAVING CONFIDENCE IN A REBUILT TRANSMISSION AT 40K MILEAGE IS UNHEARD OF.. BASICALLY I DROVE FROM TN TO AL CAME BACK CAR DIDNT HARDLY MOVE AFTER GETTING OFF FREEWAY AND STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT, IT WAS DISGUSTING AND VERY FRUSTRATING. SO I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER NISSAN EAST AND. MECHANIC GUY BY THE NAME OF MIKE CALLED ME AND TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD TO TAKE THE WHOLE TRANAMISSION OUT AND REBUILD IT. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF A CAR'S TRANSMISSION HAVING TO BE REBUILT AT 40000. I HAVE OWNED PLENTY OF NEW VEHICLES NEVER EVER EXPERIENCE THIS BEFORE. LOOK LIKE NISSAN IS ON MY BLACK LIST AND CONFIDENT IN KNOWING THAT THEY PRODUCE VEHICLES WITH TERRIBLE TRANSMISSIONS AND SEEMINGLY LEMONS. CONTWMPLATING SEEKING LEGAL REPRESENTATION REGARDING THIS MATTER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE CONTACT STRUCK A DEER. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT'S SPOUSE SUSTAINED BRUISES AND THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER, SEATED IN THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT, SUSTAINED BURNS FROM THE SEAT BELT. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,357.
MY REAR DOOR WILL NOT LOCK AND WHEN YOU LOWER THE IT OPENS THE DOOR I HAVE 47,000 MI ON MY CAR AND ALL MY ROTOR HAVE TO BE REPLACED. I AM CONCERNED THAT THE CURRENT AIR BAG RECALL DID NOT INCLUDE MY CAR.
DRIVERS SIDE REAR DOOR OPENED WHEN REAR WINDOW WAS DOWN. THIS HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION ON ROUTE 80 IN PENNSYLVANIA AS I WAS MERGING ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM THE MILESBURG ON RAMP. DOORS WERE LOCKED AND THIS STILL HAPPENED. MY DOG WAS LAYING DOWN IN THE BACK SEAT. NO INJURIES OCCURRED. *DT *TR
2016 NISSAN ALTIMA I WAS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY & OPENED THE REAR WINDOW & NOW THE REAR DOOR IS PERMANENTLY LOCKED. I'VE TRIED 3 DIFFERENT WAYS TO UNLOCK THE DOOR & NONE OF THEM WORKED.
AFTER THE CAR IDLES FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, CAR HESITATES TO GO. AFTER PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL FOR A FEW SECONDS CAR TAKES OFF VERY FAST. SOME TIMES THE CAR WILL REV HIGH BEFORE IT SHIFTS. IF I TURN THE CAR OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY FOR AWHILE. THIS HAPPENS IN TOWN STOPPING AND GOING.
WHILE DRIVING I FELT A SLIGHT STUTTER OR JERKING OF THE VEHICLE. I NOTICED THAT AS I DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR, SPEED DID NOT INCREASE. THE CAR WOULD SLOWLY MOVE FORWARD THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR STALLED. NO LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH TO INDICATE A PROBLEM AND I HAD THE OIL CHANGED AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TWO DAYS PRIOR. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT IF THERE WERE ANY SIMILAR ISSUES REPORTED AND I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO BRING THE CAR IN. I CALLED THE SERVICES OF MY EXTENDED WARRANTY AND REPORTED THE ISSUE.
The driver side sun visor is easily broken. The connecting rod is hollow.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 80 MPH WHEN MY RPM STARTED TO GO UP AND DOWN IN A WAY THAT I'D NEVER SEEN. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THAT, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK MY CAR TO ADVANCE AUTO PARTS TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG AND IT READ, 'P0841 TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR/SWITCH A CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE'. I TOOK MY CAR TO MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND TOLD THEM WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR, AND RIGHT AWAY WITHOUT LOOKING UNDER THE HOOD OF MY CAR THEY SAID THAT I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION WHICH WOULD COST ME $4,000. I THOUGHT MAYBE I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR, SO I CALLED AROUND LOOKING FOR THE PART AND EVERY SHOP TOLD ME TO CALL NISSAN.
REAR PASSENGER DOOR OPENS WHEN LOWING THE WINDOW. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. A RECALL WAS ISSUED TO ADDRESS THE SAME ISSUE BUT MINE VEHICLE IS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST.
SPONTANEOUSLY EXPLODING SUNROOF. THE SUNROOF EXPLODED WHEN DRIVING AT 55 MPH AT 65 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT ON AN OPEN STRETCH OF HIGHWAY CLEAR OF ANY OVERPASSES OR BRIDGES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE DRIVER'S SEAT MOVED FORWARD INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOSSY NISSAN EL CAJON (LOCATED AT 1170 W MAIN ST, EL CAJON, CA 92020, (619) 588-0500) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE WHILE IN TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AFTER TEN MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES AND WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE, BUT COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 34469085. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY THE CAR SLOWED TO APPROX. 40 MPH, WHILE RPM'S REMAINED HIGH. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT HAPPENED. SEEMS LIKE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING. PULL OVER SHUT VEHICLE OFF AND PROBLEM GOES AWAY. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR ANYTHING. HAD IT TO SHOP EACH TIME AND DEALER UNABLE TO DUPLICATE. THIS WILL BE THIRD TIME IN SHOP FOR SAME ISSUE
FIRST THE ENGINE USES POWER WHILE GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY,NOW GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY DOING 70 MILES A HOUR LET OFF GAS PETAL TO SLOW SPEED DOES NOT CHANGE. THIS CAR IS A LEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNSAFE TO DRIVE,DEALER IS NO HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FELDMAN CHEVROLET OF NOVI 42355 GRAND RIVER AVE, NOVI, MI 48375, (248) 662-5970) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED BUT UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO BILL SEIDLE'S NISSAN (10500 NW 12TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33172) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NOTHING COULD BE DONE TO ASSIST. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,750.
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF OF THE BRAKE AND PRESSED THE ACCELERATOR MY CAR STALLED OUT. IT TOOK 30 SECONDS OF PRESSING ON THE GAS FOR IT TO BEGIN TO MOVE. *TT *TR
WHILE THE CAR HAS BEEN PARKED THERE WAS A POWER STEERING LEAK UNBEKNOWNST TO US WHILE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. I CHECKED THE RESERVOIR AFTER WE RETURNED FROM A ROAD TRIP BECAUSE WE SAW AN EXCESS OF FLUID ON THE GROUND, WHERE THE CAR WAS PREVIOUSLY PARKED.
THE RIGHT SIDE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE WHILE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY! THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DOORS BEING LOCKED. DOORS ARE UNLOCKED AND PASSENGER CANT GET OUT UNLESS THEY CRAWL TO THE LEFT SIDE OR SOMEONE ON THE OUTSIDE OF CAR LETS THEM OUT.
HAVING ISSUES WITH TRANSMISSION. CAR CHECK ENGINE GOES ON AND OFF AND VEHICLE 8S HESITANT TO CHANGE TO NEXT GEAR. I HAVE HAS THE CAR ALMOST 2 YEARS. 5HIS IS MY SECOND AALTIMA AND IT WAS A 2006 WHICH ALSO HAE TRANSMISSION ISSUES.
My vehicle stalls whenever I am stopped, and will not move , then it accelerate really fast, sometimes it loses speeds in which I can not accelerate the vehicle. I have taken this vehicle to 3 mechanical shops and no can tell me what the problem is. I have had this problem since I purchased the vehicle.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE I WAS DRIVING MY 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA WHEN I REAR ENDED THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME THAT WAS STATIONARY AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT. I WAS TRAVELING APPROX 30MPH, BUT WHEN I TRIED TO SLOW DOWN BY GENTLY APPLYING MY BRAKES BUT MY NISSAN ALTIMA CAR DID NOT SLOW DOWN AT ALL. I THEN SLAMMED THE BRAKES DOWN FIRMLY, STILL NOTHING, THE ABS DID NOT ENGAGE AT ALL. I SWERVED TO MY RIGHT TO TRY AND AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME HEAD ON. I CAUGHT IT'S RIGHT HAND BACK FENDER, BOTH FRONT AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, THE IMPACT OF HITTING THE MERCEDES STOPPED MY CAR- BOTH AIRBAGS INFLATED. MY 90LB, 18 YEAROLD SON WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I BROUGHT IT UP TO NISSAN ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WAS ON AND OFF WHEN MY SON SAT IN THE FRONT SEAT. ON THE FIRST OCCASION NISSAN JUST RESET THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR. IT DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE, THE SECOND COMPLAINT, NISSAN SAID IT WOULD ONLY GO OFF IF MY SON WEIGHED OVER 110LBS. IN THIS ACCIDENT THE AIR BAG DID GO OFF, CONSIDERING THIS CAR WAS GOING TO BE THE CAR HE DROVE- HE HAS HIS PERMIT RIGHT NOW, SO IF THE DRIVER WEIGHS LESS THAN 110LBS IT WOULD NOT DEPLOY. IT DOES NOT MAKE SENSE. SECONDLY, I BELIEVE THE NISSAN ALTIMA BRAKES FAILED IN THE ACCIDENT. WHEN THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER PICKED UP THE CAR ON ITS FLATBED, HE SAID THAT IT APPEARED THERE WAS SOMETHING FUNKY WITH THE FOOT BRAKE, IT WAS ROCK HARD WHEN COMPRESSED. THE ABS COMPLETELY FAILED, I NEVER FELT IT ENGAGE AFTER PUSHING FIRMLY HARD ON THE BRAKES. THERE WERE NO SKID MARKS ON THE ROAD. I NOTED THE ROAD WHERE THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED HAD TWO TYPES OF FLUID ON IT, ONE OILY ONE LIKE COOLANT. THE CAR WAS RECENTLY SERVICED, BY NISSAN VAN NUYS, THEY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THE CAR DROVE INCREDIBLY WELL FOR A WEEK, BUT THE LAST FEW DAYS I NOTED THE SLUGGISHNESS AGAIN RETURNED. MY TIRES AND BRAKES WHICH WERE ALL FINE. THEY DID REPLACE THE BRAKE FLUID.
WHILE ALREADY IN MOTION THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED EXTREMELY SLOWLY ONCE AGAIN AS I HAVE REPORTED ON THIS WEBSITE BEFORE, BUT THIS TIME IT WAS MORE DANGEROUS BECAUSE AS I WAS MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY, I WAS PRESSING ON THE ACCELERATOR AND WHEN THE RPM GOT TO 2000, IT STOPPED AND THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING EXTREMELY SLOW. THERE WAS A 18 WHEEL TRUCK APPROACHING ME FAST FROM BEHIND, BUT I COULD NOT GET ANY SPEED. LUCKILY HE SWERVED ON TO THE NEXT LANE AND PASSED ME. THE RPM METER STOPPED AT 2000 AND IT TOOK 22 SECONDS TO GET FROM 60 MPH TO 75MPH AS THE VIDEO SHOWS. IT HAPPENED SEVERAL MORE TIMES DURING THIS DRIVE AND I WAS ABLE TO RECORD EACH INSTANCE PANNING FROM THE GAUGE DISPLAY TO THE ACCELERATOR SHOWING I AM PRESSING IT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T RESPOND. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN AND WHEN I SHOWED THE VIDEO TO THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE, HE IMMEDIATELY TRIED TO BLAME THE ISSUE ON MY FLOOR MATS. HE SAID THAT IT APPEARS THE FLOOR MATS WERE PREVENTING THE ACCELERATOR FROM GOING DOWN THUS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO NOT GAIN SPEED. HOWEVER I EXPLAINED TO HIM THAT THAT IS NOT THE CASE AS THE FLOOR MAT WAS NOT TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR AT ALL. YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE MY FOOT PRESSING IT DOWN ALL THE WAY WITHOUT ANY INTERFERENCE FROM THE MAT. IN ADDITION, IF THE FLOOR MAT WAS PREVENTING THE ACCELERATOR FROM BEING PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN AS HE CLAIMS, HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR THE VEHICLE TO CONTINUE TO GAIN SPEED, ALL BE IT EXTREMELY SLOW? THAT RIGHT THERE PROVES HIS THEORY WRONG BECAUSE IF THE ACCELERATOR WAS INDEED STOPPED BY THE MAT, THEN THE MPH AS WELL AS THE RPM WOULD MAINTAIN AT THE SAME RATE. I ALSO REMINDED HIM THAT THIS HAPPENED ON A LOCAL STREET WHEN I WAS ONLY GOING 35 MPH AND THE ACCELERATOR WOULD HAVE BEEN NO WHERE NEAR THE FLOOR BOARD. NISSAN ADVISED ME THEY WERE ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE AND ARE CONTACTING NISSAN TECH SUPPORT FOR DIRECTION
AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF CAUSING SUDDEN DECREASE IN SPEED, THEN RESTART ON IT'S OWN WITHIN 10-15 SECONDS. WHEN CAR SHUTS OFF ALL DASH LIGHTS TURN OFF AND THERE'S NO THROTTLE RESPONSE. THE LAST TIME IT SHUT OFF I WAS GOING AROUND A BEND AND CAUSED CAR TO COLLIDE WITH GUARD RAIL.
AT RANDOM TIMES WHILE DRIVING, SENSOR TRIGGERS FRONT END COLLISION DASH LIGHT AND NOTIFICATION ALARM. WEATHER AND SPEED HAS NOT BEEN A FACTOR IN CAUSING THIS, IT HAS BEEN SUNNY OUT AND DRIVING AT 30 MPH WHEN THIS HAS HAPPENED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MOUNTAIN VIEW NISSAN (2100 SOUTH MARKET STREET, CHATTANOOGA, TN 37408, (423) 756-1500), BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 15,000.
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE, AN WHEN I WOULD START FROM 1ST GEAR MY VEHICLE WOULD SHAKE WHEN TAKING OFF. I HAD TAKEN IT IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THEM TAKE LOOK AT IT. THE TECH HAD TOLD ME IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION. I'VE HAD THEM LOG THAT INFO. NOW IT'S FUTURE AND THAT PROBLEM HAD ESCALATED TO WHERE IT STILL DOES THE SHAKING BUT ALOT WORSE. NOW IT DOESN'T WANT TO SHIFT OUT OF 2ND GEAR. AT THE TIME OF ME DRIVING THE VEHICLE I WAS ON THE FREEWAY AND THE VEHICLE HAD SLIPPED OUT OF GEAR AN IT SEEMED AS IT CAME OUT OF GEAR AN DROPPED TO A LOWER GEAR ALMOST CAUSING A MAJOR ACCIDENT.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,000.
FOR THE SECOND TIME WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, THIS TIME ON THE FREEWAY, THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESSED. I PRESSED IT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THE RPM WOULD NOT GO UP AND THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. IT HAPPENED BEFORE ON A LOCAL STREET WITH THE SAME SCENARIO. ON THE FREEWAY I WAS AT 70 MPH WHEN IT HAPPENED AND ON THE LOCAL STREET I WAS AT 35 MPH. IT STARTED ACCELERATING AFTER I HAD TO LET THE CAR CRUISE FOR ABOUT TEN SECONDS AS IT WAS LOSING SPEED. ALSO I AM NOW HAVING TO TAKE THE CAR IN TO SERVICE FOR THE 5TH TIME BECAUSE THE REVERSE BACK UP CAMERA WILL NOT WORK. THE CAMERA GOES BLACK AND NOTHING IS VISIBLE. NISSAN TRIED TO SAY IT WAS BECAUSE OF MY PHONE CONNECTED TO BLUETOOTH IN THE CAR AND TO TRY IT WITHOUT A PHONE CONNECTED. I DID AND IT STILL HAPPENED. I RECORDED A VIDEO OF THE INCIDENT AGAIN BUT IF I CAN'T HAVE A PHONE CONNECTED TO BLUE TOOTH TO BE HANDS FREE, THEN I AM VIOLATING THE LAW. I CAN'T SEE BEHIND ME WHICH IS VERY TROUBLESOME WHEN IT IS FOGGY OUTSIDE AND CAN'T SEE VERY WELL OUT THE WINDOWS. I HAVE PROVIDED TO IMAGES. AFTER DRIVING FOR FEW MILES, A RUBBER BURNING SMELL STARTS TO COME FROM UNDER THE HOOD. TOOK TO THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY FOUND A PLASTIC SHEET UNDER THE CAR BUT I DRIVE IN CLEAN NEIGHBOURHOOD. I DO NOT BELIEVE THEM AS I CHECKED UNDER THE HOOD AND UNDER THE CAR A DAY EARLIER TO SEE IF I COULD FIND ANYTHING BUT FOUND NOTHING. THE RUBBER BURNING SMELL IS STRONG AND CAN BE FELT JUST STANDING BY THE CAR AND IN THE CABIN WHEN HEATING IS TURNED ON. I PARK THIS CAR IN DRIVEWAY NOW INSTEAD IN THE GARAGE BECAUSE I SUSPECT MY CAR CAN START A FIRE FROM WHATEVER IS BURNING SOMEWHERE UNDER THE HOOD.
AIR BAG LIGHT SUDDENLY STARTED TO FLASH. DEALER INDICATES THE SENSOR INSIDE THE SEAT IS DEFECTIVE. $1500.00+ TO REPLACE. UNTIL IT IS FIXED THE AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT FOR ANY PASSENGER REGARDLESS OF WEIGHT. I CHECKED ONLINE AND SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE REPORTED THIS ISSUE.
2016 NISSAN ALTIMA FUEL GAUGE IS NOT REGISTERING CORRECTLY. I FILL UP THE TANK BUT THE DASHBOARD GAUGE SHOWS AS HALF FULL EVEN THOUGH THE MILEAGE TO EMPTY IS UPDATING I THINK CORRECTLY. RANDOMLY CAR JUTTERS AND LOSES ACCELERATION, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AT 54,000 MILES ON IN TOWN HIGHWAY ROAD. CAR WILL NO LONGER WILL ACCELERATE BEFORE 5-6 RPMS CONSISTENTLY FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS THEN WILL KICK AND ACCELERATE. CODE PULLED READ TRNSMISSION FLUID SYSTEM EAS THE PROBLEM. TOOK CAR IN NEXT DAY AFTER FIGHTING WITH POCATELLO NISSAN KIA BECAUSE THEY REFUSED TO LOOK AT IT FOR A WEEK. HAD TO HAVE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. DROVE THE CAR FOR ANOTHER 1500 MILES AND SAME THING BUT I CAUGHT THE DRAG AND NEEDLE FLUCTUATION SOON ENOUGH THAT THE CAR DIDN'T GET NEARLY AS BAD ON THE REGULAR IN TOWN ROADS. TOOK IT IN A SECOND TIME AND TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AGAIN. GOING ON 56600 MILES AND NOTICING A DRAG AND FLUCTUATION AGAIN ON IN TOWN ROADS BUT NISSAN WONT LOOK AT IT TIL THE ISSUE CAN BE REPLICATED AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE RESTARTED AND ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. ALSO, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN, THE RPMS ACCELERATED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO OPERATE. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SPEED INCREASED TO 40 MPH. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
I HAVE BEEN HAVING CHRONIC ISSUES WITH ENGINE ON MY 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. INITIALLY (11/2016), THE CAR WOULD "JUMP/SKIP" WHEN I WOULD TRY TO ACCELERATOR AND EVEN FEELING LIKE IT WAS GOING TO CUT OFF ON ME. WHEN I CALLED I WAS INFORMED IT WAS DUE TO DEFECT AND IT WAS ON RECALL. THE ISSUES APPEARED TO RESOLVE UNTIL 11/2017 I STARTED EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE BUT WORSE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK AND BACK HOME. THIS OCCURRED ON FLORIDA TURNKPIKE AND LOCAL HIGHWAYS. CARS WERE HOOKING AT ME BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO PROCEED WHEN LIGHT TURNED GREEN, EVEN THOUGH I WAS FLOORING THE CAR PEDAL. WHEN I TOOK THE CAR TO THE SHOP, I WAS INFORMED IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION AND THEY HAD TO REBUILD IT. AFTERWARDS, I CONTINUE TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR CUTTING OFF ON ME AND ACCELERATION ISSUES. I BROUGHT IT BACK, AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE CRANK SENSOR. THEY REPLACED IT BUT KNOW THE ENGINE CONTINUE TO SOUND LIKE IT IS WORKING OVERTIME TO PERFORM AND MAKE A CONSTANT HIGH PITCH SOUND. I AM BRING IT BACK TO THEM A 3RD TIME TO INVESTIGATE.

CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG AND DEFECTIVE KEYLESS PUSH BUTTON. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED OTHER FAILURES INCLUDED REAR DOORS OPENING INDEPENDENTLY, ENGINE WAS LOUD, TIRE PRESSURE SENSORS WERE INOPERABLE, AND THE EMERGENCY COMMUNICATION LIGHTS WERE CONSTANTLY LIT. THE CONSUMER STATED ALL THE REPAIRS WERE TO BE REPAIRED UNDER RECALL. THE CONSUMER WAS UNSURE THAT THE DEALER ACTUALLY COMPLETED THE RECALLS AS IT ONLY TOOK AN HOUR TO BE COMPLETED. *JS
THE STEERING WHEEL COMES CLOSE TO A FROZEN STATE, HALF WAY WHEN TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT WHICH IS A SERIOUS SAFETY MATTER. IT HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 TIMES IN A MONTH OR TWO(SEPT/OCT-2017). I TOOK THE CAR TO THE MYATT NISSAN IN SALISBURY, NC. IT TOOK THEM 3 WEEKS TO REPAIR IT DURING WHICH I HEARD CONTRADICTING STATEMENTS FROM THEM. AFTER A WEEK IN THEIR SHOP I WAS TOLD BY ONE PERSON(WEST) THAT THEY WERE ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM(WHEN ONE OF THE TECHNICIANS DROVE IT). THE SERVICE MANAGER(ROGER) DENIED IT NEVER HAPPENED, BUT THEY CHANGED THE ELECTRICAL STEERING PUMP FOR FREE ANYWAY THOUGH IT WAS 14,000 MILES ABOVE THE WARRANTY. THEY EVEN DOCUMENTED THAT THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO RECREATE THE PROBLEM, BUT CHANGED THE PUMP ANY WAY. THE REASON I WANT TO REPORT IT IS OF THE CONTRADICTING STATEMENTS AND THEIR EFFORT TO DOCUMENT IT AS NON-ISSUE, BUT CHANGED THE PUMP ANYWAY. CLEARLY THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING. STILL NOT SURE IF THE REPAIR RESOLVES THE ISSUE AS I HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT ENOUGH TO VALIDATE FOR SURE.
NOV 2017, ALTIMA HAD 18,173 MILES, NOT ONE YEAR OLD AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVE IT. TOOK IT TO DEALER IN SAN DIEGO, DIAGNOSIS WAS A P0101 CODE (MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR/ORANGE PCV VALVE). THEN AT 20,598 MILES, I SAW MY LIFE FLASH BEFORE MY EYES. I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 5 IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DOING 72 MPH WITH A TRUCK BEHIND ME AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ALTIMA WILL NOT ACCELERATE! MEANWHILE THE RPM'S ARE JUMPING UP AND DOWN. AGAIN THE DEALER SAID IT WAS CODE P0101, REPLACED THE PCV VALVE AGAIN. NEXT AT 20,833 MILES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. DEALER INFORMED ME THERE WAS CARBON BUILD UP IN THE THROTTLE BODY AND FOUND CODE P0101 AS WELL. AT THAT POINT THE DEALER REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY WITH A NEW ONE. AT 24,095, THE DEALER STATED BOTH SHOCKS WERE LEAKING. BOTH SHOCKS WERE REMOVED AND REPLACED. AT 25,076 MILES THE BACK DRIVER DOOR WOULD NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ACUATOR. AT THE SAME ENCOUNTER, THE BACK DRIVER WINDOW DID NOT ROLL DOWN MORE THAN HALF WAY. FOUND VAPOR BARRIER AND CABLE DAMAGED. ALSO, DURING THIS TIME POOR ACCELERATION WAS NOTICED AND THEY REPLACED THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH AND DELETED STOP LAMP RELAY. FINALLY ON THIS VISIT NEW HEAT SHIELDS AS WELL. THIS CAR HAS SPENT 25 DAYS OF ITS LIFE AT A NISSAN DEALER. THIS CAR IS SCARY AND DEFECTIVE.
DRIVER SIDE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. NEITHER STEERING WHEEL NOR SIDE AIRBAGS. DRIVER, MYSELF, WAS GOING WITH FLOW OF TRAFFIC (40-44 MPH) ON CITY STREET ON THE 2ND LANE AT 5:30 PM AT TIME OF ACCIDENT. DRIVER HAS SUSTAINED INJURIES DUE TO NO PROTECTION TO NECK, BACK, SHOULDER, ARM, WRIST, AND ANKLE. NO OTHER PARTIES WERE IN VEHICLE AT TIME OF ACCIDENT.
