INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6) NOTIFIED NISSAN OF OUR VEHICLE HAVING THE RECALL PROBLEM WITH OUR 2006 FRONTIER XE. NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 10V075000. NISSAN STATES THAT OUR TRUCK'S VIN # IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AT THIS TIME. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND TESTING SHOWS THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT AS THE PROBABLE CAUSE. WE CALLED NISSAN AT 800-647-7261 TWICE. BOTH TIMES WE WERE GIVEN A REF. # [XXX] . WE NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH GAS WE HAVE...MY HUSBAND JUST RAN OUT TODAY GOING TO THE STORE AND THE FUEL GAGE SHOWED THAT WE HAD GAS. VERY FRIGHTENING. THANK GOODNESS HE WAS NOT ON THE FREEWAY!!!!!! *TR
I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER PICKUP ID # [XXX] . I HAD TO REPLACE THE FRONT ROTORS AT 20,000 MILES AND NOW AT 40,000 MILES I AM HAVING TO REPLACE BOTH FRONT AND REAR ROTORS. I AM 60 YEARS OLD AND HAVE NOT CHANGED MY DRIVING STYLE. THESE BRAKES SEEM TO BE WEARING OUT AT ABOUT THREE TIMES THE RATE OF THE BRAKES OF ANY PREVIOUS VEHICLE THAT I HAVE KNOWN. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER TO BE REPAIRED FOR RECALL 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE AUXILIARY TANK) ON MONDAY APRIL 19, 2010. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, THE FUEL GAUGE INDICATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS HALF FULL BUT THE TANK WAS ACTUALLY EMPTY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER TWICE AND THE FUEL SENDER UNIT WAS CLEANED. THE FAILURE DID NOT OCCUR PRIOR TO THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE THIRD TIME THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE WOULD TAKE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER WITH THE UNDERSTANDING THAT THE FAILED PART WOULD BE REPLACED INSTEAD OF CLEANED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,009. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,050.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED HE RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA RECALL CAMPAIGN ID: 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE: AUXILIARY TANK) AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR RECALL REPAIRS. THE DEALER DROPPED THE FUEL TANK AND REPLACED THE SENDING UNIT AS A REMEDY TO THE RECALL. PRIOR TO THE RECALL REPAIRS, THE CONTACT HAD NOT ISSUES WITHIN THE VEHICLE. FOLLOWING REPAIRS, THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR WOULD NOT READ ACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. WHEN FILLING THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR WOULD REMAIN ON THE EMPTY POSITION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SPORADICALLY FOLLOWING REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,700 AND THE CURRENT WAS 44,000.
FUEL GAUGE DOES NOT ACCURATELY REPORT FUEL LEVEL. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL BUT NISSAN SAYS IT ONLY FOR SPECIFIC VIN'S AND THAT NOT ALL ARE SUBJECT TO THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A FAULTY FUEL SENSOR AS WELL. *TR
AT ABOUT 37,000 MILES, THE FUEL GAUGE ON MY 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER STARTED READING "EMPTY" NO MATTER HOW MUCH FUEL WAS IN THE TANK, AND THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT CAME ON CONTINUOUSLY. THE FUEL SENSOR WAS REPLACED WITH A "REVISED" UNIT AND NOW AT 46,000 MILES, IT IS READING "EMPTY" ALL THE TIME, EVEN WHEN THE TANK IS FULL. *TR
I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH WITH MY 8 YEAR OLD SON IN THE TRUCK WHEN I CAME IN TO A CURVE AND THE STEERING WOULD NOT TURN. I HAD TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSTATE GET OUT OF THE TRUCK IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND GET THE STEERING BROKE LOOSE SO I COULD MOVE THE TRUCK TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. NOW THE STEERING COLUMN HAS A LOT OF MOVEMENT IN EVERY DIRECTION. I TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE NISSAN DEALER SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE BEARING IN THE STEERING COLUMN WAS BAD AND THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE ABOUT $980.00. THE SERVICE TECH SAID HE HAD SEEN THIS A SEVERAL TIMES. NISSAN SAID THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR IT BECAUSE THE TRUCK WAS OUT OF WARRENTY. THE TRUCK HAS 74,000 MILES ON IT NOW. IT HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. I THINK NISSAN SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR SAFETY ISSUES LIKE THIS ON AUTOMOBILES WITH THIS LOW OF MILEAGE. *TR
MY STEERING WHEEL IS LOOSE ON MY 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER PICKUP. IT WOBBLES ABOUT 1/2 TO 1 INCH IN EACH DIRECTION. THE CAR STILL STEERS OK BUT I'M CONCERNED THAT IT WILL FAIL WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAVE ASKED THE DEALER ABOUT AND THEY SAY IT WILL COST $400 TO CHECK AND REPLACE IT. I SEE THIS REPORTED ON NUMEROUS FORUMS AS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. RADIATOR ASSEMBLY LEAKED ENGINE COOLANT INTO THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION COMPUTER TO BE DESTROYED AND TO CEASE FUNCTIONING. MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED, TRANSMISSION REBUILT,AND HAVE A HEAVY DUTY TRANSMISSION BYPASS COOLER INSTALLED.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE FUEL GAUGE BECAME INOPERABLE AND THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, CODE IS P0463 - FUEL HIGH LEVEL SENSOR. THE TRUCK IS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER WITH 34,000 MILES. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THERE IS A TECH BULLETIN, NO RECALL. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE IGNITION WAS STARTED AND THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED EMPTY, AFTER DISPENSING GASOLINE INTO THE FUEL TANK. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL SEPARATE OCCASIONS TO INCLUDE INACCURATE READINGS. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ALSO REMAINED ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS NOT A SAFETY RECALL AND THE SERVICE WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,500. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 37,760. UPDATED 05/18/10.*LJ
THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS THE VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 1/4 TANK OF FUEL. IT SEEMS TO STAY THERE FOR SOME TIME, THEN AFTER SOME MILEAGE DROPS COMPLETELY BELOW EMPTY, THE FUEL WARNING COMES ON SOLID (NOT GRADUAL BEFORE THIS FAILURE). ALL INDICATIONS UPON FILLING UP IS THAT THE TANK IS CLOSE TO EMPTY. ALL INDICATIONS APPEAR TO BE IDENTICAL WITH A SIMILAR RECALL FOR THE SAME RECALL FOR THE NISSAN FRONTIER XE MODELS BOTH BEFORE AND AFTERWARD IN THE 2006 MODEL YEAR. MINE MANUFACTURED 08/06. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON MARCH 27, 2010, AFTER FILLING THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE STILL REGISTERED EMPTY AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ABOUT 75 MILES LATER, THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO FUNCTION PROPERLY AND THE CHECK ENGINE TURNED OFF. THE CONTACT REFERENCED RECALL 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE:AUXILLARY TANK) THAT BELIEVED TO BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FUEL LEVER SENSOR AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY WERE REPAIRED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. THE CONTACT ALSO FILED A COMPLAINT WITH THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,266. UPDATED 07/01/10 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED AND HE WAS REIMBURSED. HOWEVER, THE TIMING CHAIN HAD TO BE REPLACED. NISSAN FRONTIER 2006 FUEL GUAGE NO LONGER WORKING. SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER. VEHICLE HAS 50K MILES ON IT. DEALER TOLD ME THAT THIS WAS NOT A RECALL, AND SINCE THE TRUCK IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, THIS WOULD COST ME $450 OUT OF POCKET. FROM READING POSTS ON THE WEB, I SEE THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH NISSANS FROM 2005-2007. I HAVE NO WAY OF BEING SURE I HAVE SUFFICIENT FUEL, WHICH WOULD SEEM, TO ME, TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. WHAT IF I AM CAUGHT IN INCLEMENT WEATHER WITH NO FUEL? I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO DANGER IN DRIVING THE VEHICLE *AS IS*...... AND AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHY THIS WOULD NOT BE A RECALL ISSUE IF SO MANY VEHICLES WERE AFFECTED BY THE SAME THING.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE GAS GAUGE INDICATED THAT THE FUEL TANK WAS HALF FULL ALTHOUGH IT WAS EMPTY. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO SAFELY PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND ADD FUEL TO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THE GASOLINE STORAGE TANK WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. SHE CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THE MANUFACTURER ADVISED HER THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE: AUXILIARY TANK). THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 25,000. UPDATED 05/07/10. *LJ WHEN THE CONSUMER TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HAVE ANOTHER SERVICE PERFORMED SHE WAS TOLD THE WORK COULD NOT BE DONE, BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERS WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL SENDING UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THAT NHTSA RECALL# 10V075000 FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, STORAGE, AUXILIARY DID NOT APPLY TO HIS VIN . THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65000.

HE LOCATED A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V075000, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE: STORAGE: AUXILIARY TANK) AND UPON CONTACTING THE DEALER, WAS TOLD HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE RECALL CAMPAIGN. ANY REPAIRS MADE TO THE VEHICLE WOULD BE AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,400 AND THE CURRENT WAS 40,420.

WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATE SPEEDS OF 60-65 MPH AFTER REFUELING HIS VEHICLE, THE CONTACT NOTICED THE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR WAS NOT READING ACCURATE FUEL LEVELS. THE INDICATOR WOULD DISPLAY A HALF-FULL TANK OF GASOLINE WHEN THERE WOULD BE A FULL TANK OF GASOLINE IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000 AND THE CURRENT 65,500.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP TO BE INSPECTED. THE MECHANIC INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A FUEL SENSOR. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 41,500. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 41,700.
NISSAN 2006 FRONTIER SE CREW CAB. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON; AND CHECK HAS A "P0463" CODE. GAS GAUGE DOES NOT GIVE ACCURATE FUEL LEVEL. OCCURS ALL THE TIME. SOMETIMES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES OUT, BUT WILL LIGHT UP ESPECIALLY IF NEAR EMPTY OR AFTER FILLING UP. NO CORRECTION; EXCEPT TO SPEND $800 AT NISSAN DEALER TO REPLACE PART OF THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY.
THE FUEL GAGE EITHER SHOWS FULL OR ONE FOURTH OR EMPTY EVEN AFTER A FILL UP. I HAVE RAN OUT OF GAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ALMOST RESULTING IN SEVERAL REAR END COLLISIONS. *DT
FUEL GAUGE STOPPED WORKING, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO TELL HOW MUCH GAS IS IN THE TANK. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND A HUGE INCONVENIENCE REQUIRING ME TO FILL UP WAY BEFORE NECESSARY TO AVOID HAVE THE TRUCK RUN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY. THERE WAS A RECALL, BUT MY VIN DIDN'T QUALIFY. THIS IS A MUCH BIGGER PROBLEM THAN NISSAN IS ACKNOWLEDGING. THEY NEED TO EXTEND THE RECALL TO ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS FUEL SYSTEM DESIGN. *TR
MOLDED FUEL TANK SHELLS CAN DEFORM CAUSING THE FUEL SENDER FLOAT ARM TO CONTACT AN EMBOSSMENT MOLDED INTO THE TACK SHELL CAUSING THE INSTRUMENT PANEL FUEL GAGE TO SHOW VEHICLE ONE QUARTER TANK WHEN THE FUEL TANK IS EMPTY. VEHICLE RAN OUT OF GAS AND STALL IN TRAFFIC, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. *TR
AS MY VEHICLE USES GAS THE GAUGE STICKS AT ABOUT 5/16 TO 3/8 FULL. THIS ACTION CAUSES THE FUEL GAUGE TO THEN DO UNUSUAL THINGS SUCH AS FALL TO EMPTY AND THROW A FAULT CODE TO THE OBD II. OR THE FUEL LEVEL ON THE GAUGE WILL STAY AT APPROX. 5/16 TO 3/8 FULL FOR A PROLONGED TIME WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN BUT THEY SAY THE TRUCKS BUILD DATE FALLS OUTSIDE OF THE VEHICLES WHICH HAVE BEEN RECALLED. IT SURE SEEMS TO ME THAT I TOO HAVE A GAS TANK WITH THE DEFORMITY WHICH CAUSES THE FUEL FLOAT TO "CATCH' OR "STICK'. *TR
HAVE A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER WHICH HAS A DEFECTIVE FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR. THIS CAUSED ME TO FAIL NJ STATE INSPECTION. NISSAN HAS A RECALL ON 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER FUEL SENSORS. APPARENTLY EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THIS PROBLEM, THEY ARE UNWILLING TO REPAIR DUE TO VIN #. I NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH FUEL IS IN MY CAR. *TR

SHE CONTACTED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD HER THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WAS 79,987.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE VEHICLE IS NOT EQUIPPED FROM THE FACTORY WITH THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENT BOLTS AND CAMS. THEY HAVE TO BE PURCHASED AT THE DEALER. THE OWNER FEELS THESE PARTS SHOULD BE INCLUDED WITH THE VEHICLE. NISSAN FRONTIER 2006 ALL HAVE A COMMON DEFECTIVE PART, THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. I HAVE THIS TRUCK AND AT APPROXIMATELY 43,000 MILES, THE SENSOR WENT OUT GIVING ME THE "SERVICE ENGINE SOON", CODE NUMBER P0463. THE NISSAN DEALER SAID IT WOULD $350 TO REPLACE, AT MY EXPENSE. AFTER FURTHER RESEARCH IN INTERNET FORUMS, THIS IS A COMMON DEFECT WITH ALL 2006 FRONTIERS WITH THE SENSOR GOING OUT AT APPROX 42,000-43,000 MILES. NISSAN HAS RECALLED SOME OF THE VEHICLES FOR THIS DEFECT BUT WHEN I ADVISED NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MY TRUCK HAD THE SAME DEFECT, I WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE TRUCK SHUDDERS AND SHAKES AND CANNOT SHIFT INTO GEAR. I HAD NO PICK UP WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND HAD CARS SPEEDING BY ME AT 75MPH WHILE I WAS BARELY ABLE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK. THE TRUCK WOULD DRIVE FINE AND THAN THIS WOULD HAPPEN OUT OF NOWHERE. I TOOK IT TO AAMCO AND FOUND OUT I HAD WATER IN THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO A LEAK IN THE RADIATOR. I HAD TO PAY $2500.00 TO HAVE MY TRANSMISSION REBUILT AND A NEW RADIATOR INSTALLED. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL ON NISSANS PART BECAUSE IT WAS A FAULTY RADIATOR THAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND COULD HAVE CAUSED A SEVERE ACCIDENT. I HAVE HEARD OF ALOT OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THIS SAME PROBLEM BUT NISSAN REFUSES TO DUE A RECALL. I HAVE THE SAME FUEL GAUGE PROBLEM THAT WAS JUST RECALLED AND I RAN OUT OF GAS BECAUSE OF IT. WHENEVER THERE WAS A HALF OF TANK OF GASOLINE IN THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL GAUGE DIDN'T REGISTER THAT AMOUNT. HE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS ADVISED THAT HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN RECALL 10V075000 FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE STORAGE, AUXILIARY TANK, BUT HE SHOULD TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. A LOCAL MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT FUEL SENSOR CAUSED THE FAILURE TO OCCUR; THEREFORE, HE REFUSED TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTIC FEE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND HE WILL REPLACE THE VEHICLE IF THE MANUFACTURER DOES NOT ADD HIS VIN TO THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 51,000.

I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER, MY GAS GAUGE AND VEHICLE COMPUTER THAT READS THE GAS LEVEL IS NOT WORKING. IT LEFT MY NEW BORN BABY BOY AND WIFE ON THE SIDE OF I-95 IN PORT ORANGE FLORIDA BECAUSE IT SHOWED GAS IN THE TANK WHEN THERE WAS NONE. UPON DOING RESEARCH I FOUND THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT OCCURS IN MANY NISSAN MODEL SPREAD OUT AROUND THE YEAR OF OUR TRUCK. TOOK TO LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND THEY DID A SCAN AND IT REVEALED IT HAD A FAULTY FUEL LEVEL SENDER.THE REPAIR WAS COMPLETED ABOUT 2 MONTHS PRIOR TO RECALL BEING ANNOUNCED. I CHECKED WITH THE DEALER AND ONE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THEY WOULD REIMBURSE MY COST, ONCE THE ACTUAL RECALL LETTERS WERE SENT OUT. SINCE THEN THE DEALER SAYS THE RECALL FOR THE FUEL SENDER DOES NOT APPLY TO MY TRUCKAND WILL NOT REIMBURSE ME. I CALLED THE 1-800 NISSAN NUMBER AND THEY SAY MY TRUCK IS NOT COVERED .
