The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Frontier. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: NHTSA Campaign Number: 23E012000 (Air Bags) and would like to be removed from the recall distribution list. The local dealer and manufacturer were contacted.
Two weeks ago I received a recall for an airbag emblem issue for my vehicle. I set an appointment and in the time leading up to my appointment the airbag warning sensor came on. When I went in for the recall they repaired the recall but the warning light did not go off. They stated that there are two issues with my airbag the emblem was not the cause of the sensor going off. They claim it is the airbag module. They would not cover that repair even though the emblem led to the airbag module going bad. This is the second airbag recall on airbags( previous was in 2008). The cost for an airbag module is over $1000 and I find that unacceptable.
Car accident put at risk to not be safe and defend myself with no air bag malfunction body suspension up to 4 car incident in major intersection. No warning lamps that appeared.
The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21E012000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Symptoms began as random hard shifts, then progressed to a sudden loss of power and high rpms. If the vehicle was turned off and on, the transmission would engage and you could drive a couple hundred feet before it began slipping again. I used this tactic of turning it off and on again to get the vehicle off of the highway. Vehicle has not been sent to shop as of yet. Taking a turn, my Nissan Frontier 2007 suddenly stops right in the middle of the street causing traffic jam, I was lucky enough not to be t-boned with my kids seating on the back. Nissan knew about is but never advised costumers about it to open a recall campaign. Need help with this. Truck was bought brand new at the dealer.
On my 2007 Nissan Frontier my air bag light has come on and my Regular Repair shop has brought to my attention about the air bag sensor recall. The dealership in my area states that my vehicle does not fall under this recall but I am truly afraid of my husband or myself getting hurt if this is not fixed. We are in our 80"s and can not afford to have this issue fixed and feel as we should not have to fix this problem when there are so m any of these recalls out there. Please Help
THE ENGINE HAS BURNING OIL FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW AND THE SAFETY BAG LIGHT FLASHING FOR 3 MONTHS.

APPARENTLY MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED BY THE BELOW CAMPAIGN WHEN IN FACT IT'S EXHIBITING THE BEHAVIOR EXPLAINED ON THE RECALL. I CALLED THE DEALER IN SUNNYVALE CA AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT IS NOT COVERED. NISSAN SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE FAULTY AIRBAG SENSOR ACROSS THE BOARD NOT JUST IN SOME STATES! NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 08V690000 REPORT DATE: DEC 18, 2008 VEHICLES AFFECTED: 242720

WATCH SPRING IN STEERING COLUMN BROKE. AIR BAGS WILL NOT WORK.
AIR BAGS LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND TRANSMISIN CODE 1774 WAS ON RECALL, MY TRANSMISION BROKE DOWN
THE AIR BAG LIGHT IN THE DASH BORD IS BEEN BLINKING FOR LONG TIME, I BEEN TAKING TO THE MECHANIC TO RESET BUT ONLY WORK FOR A LITTLE TIME AND START BLINKING AGAIN. THE MECHANIC SUGEST ME TO CHECK IFTHERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM AND I FOUND ONE 08V690000 BUT MY VIN # IS NOT INCLUDED, THIS PROBLEM IS SERIOUS IN CASE OF ACCIDENT THE BAG IS NOT GOING TO DEPLOY.
TAKATA RECALL, THE FRONTIER TORIC CONVERTER INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION STARTED VIBRATING AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING SMOOTHLY. TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS MILKY LOOKING ACCORDING TO NAPA WHEN THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID.
MY 2007 NISSAN FRONTIER CREW CAB HAS 107K MILES AND FOR UNKNOWN REASONS THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT RESET. THIS IS UNSAFE BECAUSE THE AIRBAGS MAY NOT WORK IN AN ACCIDENT. ALSO THE FUEL GAUGE IS MALFUNCTIONING.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF ELK GROVE (8590 LAGUNA GROVE DR, ELK GROVE, CA 95757, (916) 405-5000) TO BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V690000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR WAS NOT ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO ABORTING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 28367938. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS THE DEALER'S DISCRETION AS TO THE NEXT STEPS TO BE TAKEN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 126,000.
DRIVERS AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON. ALSO TRANSMISSION SLIPPING ANTI-FREEZE MIXING WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID.
THE AIRBAG SENSOR BEGAN FLASHING WHEN DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AND THE ERROR CODE IS FOR THE PASSENGER SEATBELT. THE NON-DEALER MECHANIC WAS NOT ABLE TO REPAIR AND THE AIRBAGS ARE DEACTIVATED. THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE FAILED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. THE ECM IS NOT AVAILABLE FROM NISSAN OR AFTER MARKET FOR THIS 10 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. THE ECM CANNOT BE REBUILT. THUS, THIS LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE IN OTHERWISE EXCELLENT CONDITION IS NOW JUNK. NISSAN HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE EXPECTED VEHICLE RELIABILITY AND CONSUMER PROTECTIONS. APPARENTLY, NISSAN CEASED MANUFACTURE (INCLUDING AFTER MARKET) OF THIS CRITICAL ENGINE COMPONENT SOON AFTER INITIAL SALE WITHOUT MAKING ANY PROVISIONS FOR REPLACEMENT UPON FAILURE. I AM TOLD THAT THIS IS A STANDARD BUSINESS PRACTICE FOR NISSAN.
"TAKATA RECALL" - TOTAL AIRBAG REPLACEMENT NECESSARY REPORTED BY DEALER AND TWO OTHER MECHANICS. AIRGBAG LIGHT ON. AIRBG NEVER DEPLOYED OR FRONT END COLLISION. 3500 DOLLAR REPAIR?
