BOUGHT THE CAR NEW AND AT 42000 MILE THE TIMING CHAIN WENT BAD. THE ENGINE STARTED TO MAKE A KNOCKING SOUND. THE DEALER SAID IT WAS THE TIMING CHAIN. ITS RIDICULOUS THAT WITH SO LITTLE MILES I HAVE TO PAY FOR A MAJOR REPAIR JOB.
IT STALLS OUT IF 80 MPH IS REACHED AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE AGAIN UNLESS THE MOTOR IS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON. NOW IT IS MORE FREQUENT AND AT ANY SPEED. PLUS THE GAS CONSUMPTION IS HALF WHAT IT USUALLY WOULD BE.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER A RECALL IN AUGUST OF 2012 FOR THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR WHICH NEEDED TO BE RE-TORQUED OR REPLACED. THE FAILURE WAS RE-TORQUED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR COST. THE RECALL DETAILS WERE NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT TO GET A DIAGNOSTIC TEST FROM THE LOCAL DEALER. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 84,454.
I WAS TRAVELING ON THE INTERSTATE AND IT STARTED LOOSING POWER AND SMOKING REALLY BAD SO I PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. HAD IT PULLED TO THE SHOP. THEY SAID THE TURBO WENT OUT. HAD IT REPLACED. DROVE IT 2 WEEKS AND IT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING. SET ON THE ROAD FOR 3 HOURS. HAD IT TOWED AGAIN TO THE SHOP. HE SAID THE TURBO WENT OUT AGAIN. BEEN THERE FOR 2WEEKS ALREADY. LOST MY JOB BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET TO WORK. HAD NO WAY SO RIGHT NOW I'M WITHOUT RIDE. ILLY HAS AROUND 65,000 ON IT

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.

DOOR LATCH AND LOCKS NOT WORKING PROPERLY. SERVICE BULLETINS (3) WERE ISSUED BUT I WAS NEVER INFORMED AND NISSAN WON'T COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIRS. CAR IS PARKED. I TOLD NISSAN THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE CAUSE PASSENGERS CAN NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR AT TIMES.

I HAVE A NISSAN JUKE 2011 AND HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING GAS. I FEARED FOR MY SAFETY AND THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS. NISSAN REFUSED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE BECAUSE MY CAR WAS NOT APART OF THE VIN NUMBER SELECTED FOR RECALL. I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE. NOTE LONG AGO., MY CAR WAS TAKEN FOR AN OIL CHANGE. AFTERWARDS OIL BEGAN TO APPEAR ON THE GROUND. I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK. I WAS CHARGED $163.OO FOR DIAGNOSTIC BUT NEVER GIVEN A INVOICE ADDRESS THE ISSUE EXCEPT TO SAY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON WITH CODE PO 1113. PO11C AND PO 171.THEY REPLACED SOMETHING BUT ONLY GAVE A RECEIPT FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THEN I RECEIVED A MONTH LATER, A NOTICE ABOUT AN EVAPORATIVE EMISSON VAPOR VENT TUBE. I BELIEVE I SHOULD RECEIVE THE MONEY RETURNED FOR THE DIAGNOSIS BECAUSE IT WAS THE ERROR OF THE DEALERSHIP AND I NEED A COPY OF THE WORK PERFORMED FOR MY RECORDS; WHICH WAS NOT PROVIDED EXCEPT WHAT WAS MENTIONED ABOVE.

THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO FENTON NISSAN LOCATED IN OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO CHARGER WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V583000 (ENGINE), ALTHOUGH THE FAILURES WERE IDENTICAL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE SUNROOF ON MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE EXPLODED. IT SOUNDED LIKE SOMEONE HAD SHORT MY CAR. THANKFULLY THE SHADE WAS CLOSED OR THE GLASS WOUND HAVE FALLEN DOWN WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING AN INJURY OR POSSIBLE CRASH. THE EXTREME NOISE ITSELF WAS VERY SCARY AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CRASH DUE TO BEING SO STARTLED.
MY TURBO BECAME FAULTY AFTER ONLY 67,000 MILES. THE CAR SOUNDS AND FEELS LIKE IT COULD STALL AT ANY TIME. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS BUT ONLY COVERING JUKES MANUFACTURED THROUGH MAY OF 2011, MINE WAS MANUFACTURED IN JULY OF 2011. THIS REPAIR IS ESTIMATED TO COST $2500.00.

VEHICLE EXPERIENCED ODOR OF RAW GASOLINE IN VENTILATION SYSTEM TO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHILE VEHICLE WAS ON, PARTICULARLY AFTER STARTUP. THIS ODOR COULD ALSO BE SMELLED ON THE EXTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT A FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR LEAK WAS THE PROBLEM AND PERFORMED REPAIR. AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, A WEB SEARCH SHOWED THAT THIS SAME PROBLEM HAD A SAFETY RECALL ON THIS SAME VEHICLE (12V-069), BUT THIS VEHICLE JUST "OUT OF THE VIN RANGE" FOR THE RECALL. THE SAFETY RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED AND OWNERS ADVISED OF THIS SAFETY ISSUE THAT MAY OCCUR, POTENTIALLY CAUSING A FIRE.

THERE'S BEEN A FUEL LEAK FROM THE FUEL RAIL SENSOR AFTER THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED. IT IS CONCERNING THAT NISSAN WOULD NOT COVER THE COST OF THIS LEAK EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL AND REPAIR THE PROBLEM THEY DID NOT REPLACE THE FUEL SENSOR GASKET WHEN DOING SO WHICH I BELIEVE CAUSED THE CURRENT LEAK. THIS SEEMS TO BE A REOCCURRING PROBLEM AND FEEL NISSAN SHOULD TAKE CARE OF SUCH A RISKY FUEL PROBLEM JUST ABOVE THE STARTER THAT COULD CAUSE A SPARK.
SEVERAL TIMES MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE SL AWD HAS LOST SIGNIFICANT POWER. EVERY TIME IT HAPPENED SPEED DROPPED TO APPROX. 20MPH. THESE WERE ALSO ON INTERSTATE DRIVES WHERE QUICK DECELERATION IS VERY DANGEROUS. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT NISSAN DID RECALL JUKES WITH THE SAME ISSUE BUT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED. I HAVE READ MANY COMPLAINTS ON, THE INTERNET, ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM AND THOSE PEOPLE WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. I WOULD APPRECIATE CONSIDERATION OF INVESTIGATION INTO POSSIBLE EXTENSION OF THE RECALL. THANK YOU.
I TOOK THE CAR TO CAR WASH TODAY, WATER LEAKED INTO MY SHOES AREA FROM UNDER THE DASH BOARD. MY SHOES FEET GOT ALL WET.
RECALL 11V583000 DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VIN. ALL 2011 NISSAN JUKE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. MY TURBO CURRENTLY NEEDS REPLACED DUE TO A WORN BEARING. SEVERAL PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE TO REPLACE THEIR TURBOS IN THEIR 2011 JUKES AT A COST OF $2800.
MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE HAS BEEN SITTING IN AUSTIN TX. WAITING TO BE TOWED FROM CLAY COOLEY NISSAN. THE MOTOR HAS BEEN RENDERED UNFIXABLE DUE TO SLUDGE FROM THE ENGINE. THE JUKE WAS RECALLED FOR A TIMING CHAIN REPLACEMENT ON DEC 16,2015 AT MILEAGE 96,133. IN THEIR REPORT IT STATES THAT DUE TO THE TIMING CHAIN HAVING BEEN STRETCHED AND RUBBED INTO THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE AND TIMING COVER;ALUMINUM SHAVINGS FROM THE BLOCK SOAKED IN OIL FROM THE LEAK THE CHAIN CREATED, IS THE REASON THE ENGINE WAS MALFUNCTIONING THIS TIME AROUND. IT WAS ONLY "PATCHED AND NOT FIXED" STATES THE MECHANIC FROM ED HICKS NISSAN. I PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 100,000 MILES AND AT 108,000 MILES THE ENGINE BLOWS AND NISSAN DOES NOT WANT TO CLAIM RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DAMAGE. I TOOK CARE OF MY CAR SINCE IT IS ALL I HAVE AND BELIEVED IN NISSAN MECHANICS WHEN THEY SAID IT WAS FIXED AND READY.NOT HAVING MY VEHICLE HAS CAUSED SO MUCH STRESS IN MY LIFE. EXPERIENCED SUDDEN LOSS OF PROPULSION AND CONTROL OF ACCELERATION WHILE TRAVELING ON 70 MPH ON FREEWAY. DIAGNOSTIC SUGGESTION IS AN ISSUE IDENTICAL TO THE RECALL AFFECTING NISSAN JUKES OF THIS YEAR IN RECALL CAMPAIGN #11V583000, IN WHICH A FAULTY VALVE CASING WELD BREAKS LOOSE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE. HOWEVER MY VEHICLE WAS NOT MANUFACTURED IN THE TIME PERIOD SPECIFIED IN THAT RECALL, AS IT WAS MANUFACTURED 8 WEEKS AFTER THE FINAL RECALL WINDOW DATE OF 5/12/11. CAR MAKES INTERMITTENT POPPING NOISE WHEN DRIVING, EXPERIENCES HIGH RPM WITHOUT ACCELERATION. CURRENT MILEAGE ON VEHICLE - 61,255 MILES.

The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that on various occasions while driving at various speeds, a rattling noise was heard coming from the engine compartment. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the timing chain needed to be replaced again. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 168,000.

THERE WERE 2 RECALLS ON MY CAR AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEMS THE,FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR AND THE JUKE AIR INLET TUBE. I CALLED NISSAN OF AMERICA TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RE-CALLS ON MY CAR AND I WAS TOLD NO, MY CAR HAS BEEN TIED UP AT TASCA NISSAN IN DARTMOUTH, MA FOR MORE THAN 1 WEEK, I WAS TOLD THE PART WOULD BE IN FEB 22.. NISSAN OFFERED TO PAY FOR THE PART WHICH COST 1,908.29. BUT I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SHIPPING COST WHICH COST 120.00DOLLARS AND I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE LABOR COST WHICH IS 480.00 DOLLARS I AM FRUSTRATED AND ANGRY, KNOW ONE SEEMS TO CARE THAT I COULD OF GOT KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED IN THIS CAR. NOW I FIND OUT THERE WERE 2 RE-CALLS ON THIS CAR AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED! I SERVICE MY CAR REGULARLY, I JUST SPENT OVER 800.00 DOLLARS FOR NEW TIRES, WIPER BLADES, OIL CHANGE REPLACEMENT OF A TIRE SENSOR AND I AM RENTING A CAR AT THE PRESENT.. I NOTICED IN MY RESEARCH THAT THE ROGUE IS BEING CALLED BACK FOR POWER STIRRING PROBLEMS, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? AS FAR AS THE POWER STIRRING REPAIR MY WARRANTY RAN OUT, I FEEL THIS WAS A DEFECT IN THE POWER STIRRING, BUT I AM EXPECTED TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. I DO HAVE A CASE # IT IS 21635903 AND I SPOKE WITH A MAN NAMED JIM HIS # IS 615-725-7254. TASCA OF DARTMOUTH HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL, THEY EVEN TRIED TO GET THE COST TO ME LOWERED BUT IT FELL ON DEAF EARS., THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT LET ME DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE IT WAS TO DANGEROUS FOR ME TO DRIVE, AT LEAST THEY CARED ABOUT MY SAFETY, THANK GOD. I AM A 63Y/O FEMALE WHO WORKS HARD FOR MY MONEY, BUT I GUESS I AM GOING TO HAVE TO EAT THIS BILL!.
TRAVELING IN 65 MPH AM HIGHWAY COMMUTER TRAFFIC, VEHICLE LOST POWER/SPEED. COULD NOT GO BEYOND 40 MPH ON HILLS INCLINES. CAR STALLED AT LIGHT. MECHANIC SAID TURBO BOOSTER FAILURE. SUBSEQUENTLY TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. DEALERSHIP SAID ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO MALFUNCTION OF TURBO BOOSTER BUT WILL NOT REPLACE TURBO WITHOUT A FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT. THEN, CLAIMED ENGINE DAMAGE DUE TO LACK OF OIL, THOUGH OIL WAS REPLACED 5 DAYS PRIOR. ACCORDING TO NISSAN N.A. THIS PARTICULAR VIN HAS HAD 5 RECALLS IN 1.5 YEARS SINCE ITS MANUFACTURE. THESE INCLUDE ENGINE AIR INLET TUBE PERFORMED IN 02/09/2012 WHICH LEADS TO MALFUNCTION OF TURBO BOOSTER. "NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 NISSAN JUKE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM APRIL 9, 2010, THROUGH MAY 12, 2011. THE TURBOCHARGER BOOST SENSOR BRACKET MAY SEPARATE FROM THE AIR INLET TUBE DUE TO A DEFECTIVE WELD. CONSEQUENCE:IF THE BRACKET COMES OFF, THE VEHICLE COULD STALL WHILE THE ENGINE IS IDLING WITHOUT WARNING, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH." ALSO REPLACED IN THIS VEHICLE WERE THE ECM REPROGRAMMING, FRONT DOOR LATCH, FUEL RAIL PRESSURE CENSOR AND THE TIMING CHANGE. ALL IN LESS THAT 1.5 YRS OF ITS MANUFACTURE. VEHICLE IS RENDERED INOPERABLE. OWNER WITHOUT TRANSPORTATION.
EXTEND THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR RECALL.... I HAVE A STRONG GASOLINE SMELL IN CABIN. WHILE CAR IS [PARKED OR DRIVING] AND ENGINE IS RUNNING, THE AIR CONDITIONING AND/OR HEAT IS ON A EXTREMELY STRONG GASOLINE SMELL FILLS THE CABIN AND CAN SUFFOCATE YOU AND YOUR PASSENGERS. WORST WHEN AIR IS COMING IN FROM OUTSIDE AND NOT REUSING THE CABINS AIR. MECHANIC COULDN'T FIND ANY LEAKS AND TOLD ME ABOUT A RECALL ON JUKES. MY JUKE IS NOT APART OF THE RECALL AND IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR RECALL BECAUSE OF IMPROPER TIGHTENING. THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS ON FORUMS ONLINE WITH PEOPLE NOT BEING ON THE RECALL THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

THE CONSUMER STATED PRIOR TO THE REPAIR, THERE WAS A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL IN THE CABIN OF THE CAR. THE DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER, THE RECALL WAS PERFORMED IN 2012. THE CONSUMER WAS NOT THE OWNER DURING THAT TIME. THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS OBVIOUS, THE RECALL REPAIR FAILED. *JB
MY WIFE HAS A NISSAN JUKE 2011 WHICH HAS A RECALL ON IT FOR TURBO. SHE WAS DRIVING SUDDENLY LOST POWER. WE TOOK IT TO THE REPAIR SHOP THEY TOLD US ITS A TURBO THAT WENT BAD AND THERE IS A RECALL ON IT. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND THEY REFUSED TO WORK ON IT I TOLD THEM THERE IS A RECALL FOR NISSAN JUKE 2011. THE DEALER TOLD US YES BUT NOT OUR VIN NUMBER WHEN HE ENTERED INTO THE SYSTEM. WHAT CONCERNS ME IS THAT SHE COMPLETELY LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING AND YES THATS A VERY SERIOUS CONCERN. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF YOU LOOK INTO THIS AND HAVE DEALER FIX ALL NISSAN 2011 JUKE. I HELPED MY DAUGHTER PURCHASE A 2011 NISSAN JUKE IN NOVEMBER 2015. IN APRIL 2015, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN THE VEHICLE. SHE IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT IN TO A WAL-MART SERVICE CENTER. THE WM TECHNICIAN TOLD HER THAT THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS IN THE OIL PAN AND THAT THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. HE SUGGESTED THAT SHE TAKE THE VEHICLE ON TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHICH SHE DID THE NEXT DAY. THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TOLD HER THAT 'WAL-MART DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT,' AND THAT THERE WERE NO METAL SHAVINGS IN THE OIL PAN. THEY DID, HOWEVER, REPLACE THE TIMING CHAIN SINCE THERE WAS ABOUT TO BE A RECALL, AND THEY ALSO PERFORMED AN OIL CHANGE. LAST WEEK (OCTOBER 2015), THE CAR WENT DEAD IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY. MY DAUGHTER TOOK IT THE NEXT DAY TO THE SAME NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THE SAME SERVICE TECHNICIAN AS THE ONE IN APRIL TOLD HER THAT THERE WERE METAL SHAVINGS IN THE OIL PAN, THERE WAS NO OIL IN THE VEHICLE, AND THAT DUE TO HER NEGLIGENCE THE ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $10,000. WHEN SHE POINTED OUT THAT SHE TOLD THEM IN APRIL ABOUT THE METAL SHAVINGS, THE SERVICE TECH TOLD HER HE HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF THAT. SHE AND I BOTH TALKED WITH A NISSAN REGIONAL SPECIALIST. WE WERE TOLD, 'SORRY, YOUR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY RAN OUT AT 60,000 MILES.' AS I LOOKED OVER HER RECEIPT FROM APRIL, I NOTICED THERE WERE ITEMS LISTED THAT WOULD BE USED TO STOP AN OIL LEAK (THIS WAS CONFIRMED BY A CERTIFIED MECHANIC), YET NO SUCH PROBLEM WAS MENTIONED TO HER OR CHECKED OFF ON THE INSPECTION SHEET THEY GAVE HER. WHEN I ASKED THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST TO SPEAK TO THE FACT THAT THERE HAD OBVIOUSLY BEEN AN ATTEMPT TO PATCH AN OIL LEAK, HE REPLIED, 'I CAN'T SPEAK TO THAT. I'M NOT A MECHANIC.' NISSAN HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY NO HELP.
STRONG FUEL SMELL INSIDE CABIN AND OUTSIDE OF CAR EVERY TIME CAR IS RUNNING, ALONG WITH SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED MPG (~18 CITY - 20HWY)
WHILE DRIVING OVER 100 MILES FROM HOME AT 60MPH, ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE, BEHIND A TRACTOR TRAILER, I WAITED FOR NO TRAFFIC IN THE LEFT LANE SO THAT I COULD PASS. I PUT MY BLINKER ON, GOT INTO THE LEFT LANE, GOT NEXT TO THE TRACTOR TRAILER AND THE CAR WENT FROM 65 TO TEN MPH AND WOULD NOT GO ANY FASTER. OBVIOUSLY MY CAR DROPPED BACK AND I VERY SLOWLY GOT BACK BEHIND THE TRACTOR TRAILER AND OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE TRANSMISSION BLEW FROM OVERHEATING! I WAS ABLE TO GET A GARAGE TO LOOK AT IT AND DIAGNOSE IT AND IT WAS RECONFIRMED WHEN BROUGHT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. IT CAME WITH A 60,000 MILE WARRANTY, I PAID EXTRA TO GET A 72000 MILE WARRANTY , AND IT WENT AT 87000. MY RESEARCH SHOWED MANY NISSAN JUKE OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AFTER DRIVING THEIR JUKE OVER A HUNDRED MILE STRETCH OR MORE. I PAID ALMOST 35000. FOR THIS CAR AND BOUGHT IT WITH TWELVE MILES ON IT. ARE THEY MEANT TO GO LESS THAN 4 YEARS?! I AM NOT THAT RICH! I REPORTED IT TO NISSAN, THEY CALLED ME TODAY AND SAID THEY WERE SORRY THAT THEY COULDN'T HELP ME BUT THAT IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. I COULD HAVE GOTTEN KILLED ON THAT HIGHWAY! NOW I AM OUT A CAR I BOUGHT IN OCTOBER OF 2011 AND IT DIED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2015 (LESS THAN 4 YEARS!) ...UNLESS I PAY $4000. FOR A TRANSMISSION WITH 10,000 MILES ON IT BECAUSE NISSAN SAYS I CANT EVEN GET A NEW TRANSMISSION FOR IT!
WHEN STARTING MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE IN MID-JULY 2015 (IT WAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES AT THE TIME), A LOUD SUCTION SOUND WAS HEARD. THEN, AT 35 MPH MOMENTS LATER, MORE NOISES CAME FROM THE ENGINE AND ABOUT 50% OF ENGINE POWER WAS LOST BUT RETURNED. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE PROBLEM SEEMED TO CORRECT ITSELF AND I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS A BAD BATCH OF GASOLINE. BUT BECAUSE IT ACTED UP FROM TIME TO TIME I CONTACTED THE NISSAN DEALER TO ASK IF THERE WAS ANOTHER RECALL ON MY JUKE (RECALL P4213 TIMING CHAIN WAS REPAIRED 10/15/2014). THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE JUKE SAID THERE WERE NO MORE ENGINE RECALLS. BUT AS THE PROBLEM WORSENED I TOOK THE JUKE TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC ON 8/3/2015 WITH 59,850 MILES HIS COMPUTER ANALYSIS SHOWED CODE P2263 AND HE RECOMMENDED THAT I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO REPAIR THE TURBO CHARGER. THE NISSAN DEALER TESTED THE CAR AND INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS, IN FACT, THE TURBO CHARGER AND IT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT. HOWEVER, THE WARRANTY WAS 5 YEARS/60,000 MILES AND IT WOULD NOT BE COVERED SINCE IT WAS THEN ONLY 4 YEARS OLD BUT OVER BY ABOUT 5000 MILES (ALTHOUGH IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY MILES WHEN THE PROBLEM STARTED). THUS, I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHO DECIDED THAT NISSAN WOULD PAY TO REPLACE THE TURBO CHARGER AND RELATED PARTS BUT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE TYPICAL $240 IN LABOR COSTS. I AGREED TO THIS ARRANGEMENT. AT THE TIME OF THIS SUBMISSION (8/15/2015), MY JUKE IS STILL AT THE DEALER WHERE IT HAS BEEN FOR WELL OVER A WEEK. I WAS TOLD TODAY THAT ALTHOUGH THE NEW TURBO CHARGER HAS BEEN INSTALLED, THE OIL LINE THAT FEEDS THE TURBO CHARGER IS CLOGGED AND NEEDS REPLACED. NOTE: I DISCOVERED THROUGH ONLINE RESEARCH THAT, IN FACT, A RECALL DOES EXIST ON THIS TURBO CHARGER AS FOLLOWS: RECALL NUMBER: 11V583000 RECALL DATE: 12/08/2011

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN JUKE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHENEVER DRIVING 65 MPH OR GREATER. IN ADDITION, AN UNKNOWN METAL PART PARTIALLY DETACHED FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
IN AUGUST OF 2013 I PURCHASED A 2011 NISSAN JUKE. 2 MONTHS LATER THE BATTERY DIED. I REPLACED IT. BETWEEN THAT TIME AND MARCH 2015 I HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 2 ADDITION TIMES. IN MARCH OF 2015 AGAIN THE BATTERY DIES. I JUMPED STARTED IT A COUPLE OF TIMES IN A PERIOD OF 3 DAYS. ON THE 4TH DAY WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ACTED AS IF IT WOULD STALL ON ME WHILE DRIVING. THIS SCARED ME ENOUGH TO TAKE IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY RAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE CAR AND FOUND NOTHING. THEY REPLACED THE BATTERY (CORPORATE REIMBURSED ME FOR THE COST) NOW IN FEB 2016 THE NEW BATTERY THEY INSTALLED DIED AGAIN. I DID AS THEY ADVISED ME TO DO THE PREVIOUS TIME WHICH IS TO HAVE IT TOWED INTO THE DEALERSHIP INSTEAD OF JUMP STARTING IT AND DRIVING IT TO THEM. AGAIN THEY RAN DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND NOTHING. THEY HAVE AGAIN REPLACED THE BATTERY. THE DEALERSHIP ACTS AS IF THE PROBLEM IS FIXED. MY CONCERN IS THAT A FEW MONTHS FROM NOW THE CAR WILL AGAIN DRAIN THE BATTERY. WHAT ABOUT IF IT DROPS A CHARGE WHILE I AM DRIVING IT ON THE ROAD? I HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ON LINE REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE WITH OTHER 2011 JUKE MODELS BUT I DO NOT SEE IT MENTIONED ON THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY SAFETY ADMINISTRATION WEBSITE.
