This page combines three types of NHTSA data: recall campaigns (official manufacturer or government actions), owner complaints (unverified consumer reports), and crash test ratings (where available). A vehicle with many complaints is not necessarily less reliable — complaint volume correlates with sales volume and vehicle age. Recalls indicate identified defects, not overall quality. To compare this model year with others, use the year navigation in the sidebar or return to the model overview page.

I was involved in a serious crash in a 2014 Nissan Juke. The vehicle broke through a fence, traveled downhill, and rolled multiple times before coming to rest upside down. The crash caused severe structural damage: Roof crushed down to seat level Windshield shattered Rear of vehicle pushed into back seat Door panels detached Despite the severity of the rollover and final inverted position, no airbags deployed, including side curtain airbags. I was wearing my seatbelt and sustained ongoing nerve damage and pain. Given the rollover nature of the crash and severity of intrusion, I am concerned that the airbag system may have failed to deploy properly.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Juke. The contact stated while driving approximately 25 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine compartment before the vehicle stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact researched and was made aware of an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 106,000.
Air conditioner leak in the Evaporator Core blowing strong fumes inside the car cabin. I had taken my car into Firestone Complete Auto Care to have my air conditioner checked because it was blowing hot air and filling the cabin with a horrible odor that was making me dizzy. They told me that they would put Freon with a dye that would show any leaks. I was told that they did find a leak however they are unable to repair it. I was told and, The repair technician’s report says “ EVAPORATOR CORE LEAK “ DASH REMOVAL WOULD BE REQUIRED”. I was told the repair would take several days so I needed to take my car to the Nissan Dealership for the repair.I truly believe that this leak is a hazard to drivers. I believe that the very strong odor leaking Freon fumes blowing in to the cabin could cause a driver to become ill, dizzy, possibly disoriented, or possibly loose consciousness. Also, without climate control working, unable to defog windows during a heavy rain or snow storm could cause accidents. I hope you will investigate this problem and encourage other Nissan owners to report similar incidents and hopefully issue a recall and repair order for this dangerous problem. Hopefully it will prevent many accidents and injuries.
Please investigate air conditioning leak and create a recall. Dangerous fumes from evaporator core leak behind the dashboard sends out dangerous fumes through the vents. These fumes are extremely dangerous! Can cause driver and passengers to get very sick and light headed even with the climate control turned off! Nissan told me it would cost almost &5,000 to fix it! My car is only 2014 has less than 28,000 miles on it. I am a senior citizen on social security and don’t have that kind of money! I was also said it needed new rear brakes. A couple of weeks ago on my way home from school I could smell something burning. I stopped my car and started looking around to find that the front passengers seat was smoldering and burning a hole in my backpack, toque and the seat itself. The seat warmer switch was in the off position. My dad has since disconnected the wiring to the seat warmers on both drivers and passenger sides. This seems to be a safety issue. Has there been other complaints like this for these vehicles? We have not been to the dealer, we have contacted Nissan and were told the following "Your vehicle is out of warranty and therefore is not our problem" The car has 170,000 kms on it but this is a safety issue not a warranty complaint.
Starting up, will die. Dies at stop lights. Battery is newer. Idles funny. Fob won't open door locks or only opens one lock.
Engine stoped on highway stalled also starting button sticky
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Juke. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently lost motive power. The contact shifted to park(P) and restarted the vehicle. Brake system failure, no warning brake light, no inspection yet
1. Timing Chain failure. Yes it is available for inspection. 2. Vehicle will shut down and stop while being driven. 3. Diagnosed by Nissan dealer. 4. Vehicle was diagnosed by dealer but not inspected by the manufacturer. 5. No warning lamps or messages, only a rattle noise for last week or so.
The contact's daughter owns a 2014 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while her daughter was reversing at an undisclosed speed, the power steering assist failed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and diagnosed with a fractured front axle and a fractured driver's side control arm. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the independent mechanic. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.
Yes transmission problems loud is loud whistling noise overheating of the transmission at long periods of driving have not taken it to the dealership to get checked did read up online that in that there are problems with the transmission in this year of car is this year of cars and also making model of the 2014 Nissan Duke CVT transmission
I just replaced my transmission and was told by the dealership of the CVT issues. It cost me almost $4k to replace when I picked up my car it was in worse condition and the turbo went. How convienant. Nissan has made my life so difficult and overwhelming and the service I've experienced is gross. I've put more money into this car then it's worth. Oh they also put wood blocks under my engine.
2014 Nisan Juke, 68,772 miles, makes high pitched noise and emits an acrid smell when going up steep mountain interstate highway, it then slows to a stop. No warning lights or high temp readings. Very dangerous to stop and stall on an major interstate. It seems to be a transmission problem. First time it happened, Empire Nissan dealer said it was fine, changed the oil and sent me off. 2nd time, actual breakdown, took it to a local mechanic who said it is probably a lock up, as in Code PO774. Now at different dealer Shomp, they are diagnosing and hopefully fixing it. There is a Class Action Suit about this Juke, CVT litigation, Nissan appears to have extended the warranty.
TIMING CHAIN MALFUNCTION CAUSED OIL LEAK. THE CAR IDLED DOWN AND SHUTS OFF.
TIMING CHAIN RUBBED A HOLE IN THE TIMING COVER CAUSING ENGINE SHUT OFF, OIL LEAK EVERYWHERE ON PASSENGER SIDE AND METAL IN THE OIL. LUCKILY I WAS IN A PARKING LOT WHEN THIS HAPPENED.
TIMING CHANGE IS NOT WORKING HAVEN'T HAD ANY ACCIDENT CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND HAVE SERVICE
BRAKE SWITCH STOPPED WORKING WHEN PRESSED EACH TIME BUT WAS STILL CONNECTED. CAR COULD NOT BE STARTED WHEN BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON. AFTER CONFIRMING NO ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE. THE CAR STARTED STALLING PERIODICALLY WHILE DRIVING CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE. APPEARS TO BE RELATED TO THE START STOP SWITCH SAFETY CAMPAIGN.
CAR RAN A STOP SIGN AND I BROAD SIDED HER AT 30 MILES AN HOU IN MY 2014 NISSAN JUKE. SHE WAS GOING 30MILES AN HOUR TOO TOO. THE FRONT AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. NISSAN INSPECTED THE CAR AND SAID THAT EVERYTHING WORKED FINE. I HAVE A CRACKED STERNUM AND TWO BADLY BRUISE KNEES. I WANT YOU TO INVESTIGATE THIS CRASH AS MY DAUGHTER IS DRIVING A 2012 NISSAN JUKE AND IT MAY HAVE THE SAME FAULTY AIRBAG,
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WHILE DRIVING ON ANY ROAD AS GOES UP HILL
