HARSH ENGAGEMENT AT REVERSE AND FORWARD GEARS. ERRATIC SHIFTING. AFTER START UP THE TRANSMISSION HAS A HARSH ENGAGEMENT IN REVERSE AND FORWARD. WHEN DRIVING THERE IS A HARSH UP SHIFT AND DOWN SHIFT. DRIVING ON CITY OR HIGHWAY THE TRANSMISSION IS DOING THE SAME OF HARSH UPSHIFTING AND DOWNSHIFTING. HARSH ENGAGEMENT. THE VALVE BODY HAS BEEN REPLACED. WE HAVE INSTALLED NEW (DEALER) CAM SENSORS. WE HAVE HAD IT REPROGRAMMED. WE HAVE REBUILT THE UNIT AND STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
DRIVING HOME WITH CAR ON CRUISE CONTROL AND VEHICLE ON ITS ON ACCORD REVVED THE RPMS OVER 5000 AND THEN WE HEARD A METAL CLINKING AND LISTED ALL POWER.
TRANSMISSION NOT CHANGING GEARS AND SPEEDOMETER NOT WORKING. SLOW ACCELERATION, SEEMS LIKE IT IS STARTING OUT IN A HIGHER GEAR.
TRANSMISSION VIOLENTLY JERKS WHEN GOING 1ST TO 2ND GEAR AND WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED. I WAS TEACHING MY GRANDAUGHTER TO DRIVE AND IT SCARED JER TO DEATH WHEN IT HAPPENED TO HER WHILE DRIVING. THERE HAS BEEN HUNDREDS, IF NOT THOUSANDS OF TRANSMISSION COMPLAINTS WITH THIS CAR ONLINE AND ISSUE HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BY MANUFACTURER OR NHTSA. THIS CAR ONLY HAS 80,000 MILES, WILL NEVER BUY A NISSAN AGAIN.
TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS
NISSAN ASKED ME TO PAY A DIAGNOSTIC FEE OF 190$ AND THEN THEY SAY ENTIRE TRANSMISSION TO BE REPLACED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS IS NOT HELPFUL AS WELL WORST COMPANY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SUBFRAME WAS SEVERELY CORRODED UNDERNEATH THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
"TAMARA INFLATORS" SEAT BELTS DIDN'T LOCK OR LIGHT DID NOT COME ON. SMASHED BODY ALL THE WAY TO BACK SEAT BOTTOM TO GROUND. ENGINE WAS IDLING VERY HIGH FELT/SOUND AS IF WE WERE GOING 60 BUT ONLY WAS GOING 40. NO AIR BAGS CAME ON. BRAKES GRINDING. BACK WINDOW BLEW OUT AND TIRES FLAT IN BACK.. WINDOWS SLOW ON DRIVERS SIDE. WHEN THE SHERIFF TAHOE HIT US AT 80MPH ON U.S. 40 GREENFIELD IN WAS IN THE SHOP AT J&M TRUCK AN TRAILER ON THE WEST SIDE OF INDIANAPOLIS HAVING THE OIL LEAKED FIXED AND TIRES ALL FIXED AND ROTORS AND LIGHTS BY [XXX] A COUPLE MONTHS PRIOR. I HAD MY LITTLE GIRL IN THE BACK SEAT AS WELL WHERE SHERIFF HIT AND RAN. I UPLOADED A BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURE. NISSAN MAXIMA 2005 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS SUFFERING AND WILL AND COULD CAUSE AN DEADLY ACCIDENT. AFTER INITIAL START UP THE CAR DRIVES FINE THEN A FEW MINUTE DOWN THE ROAD THE TRANSMISSION DRIVES AS IF IT IS STUCK IN A TALL GEAR. IF YOU PLACE INTO LOWER GEAR THE GEAR VIOLENTLY SHIFTS. ALSO THE CAR SHUTS OFF WHILE LIGHTS AND OTHER ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS ARE OPERATIONAL WHILE NORMALLY DRIVING WITHOUT WARNING.
THE CAR TURNED 100000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SHIFT HARD WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. THE TRANSMISSION WOULD ALSO SLIP WHEN GOING DOWN THE ROAD AT TRAVEL SPEED,
I THINKS MANY HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WITH ME, TRANSMISSION HAD SOME ISSUES. ALSO ABS STARTED WHEN IT IS NOT SUPPOSED. MAXIMA NEED TO BE RECALLED.
CAR EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY IN SHIFTING. IT CAUSED DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND JERKING WHEN ACCELERATING OR STOPPING. THE CAR ONLY HAS 84000 MILES ON IT. THIS BEGAN AROUNDS 70000. THE JERKING IS SO BAD I AM AFRAID MY LITTLE KIDS WILL GET WHIP LASH. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM ON MANY FORUMS AND NISSAN REFUSES TO TAKE CAR OF THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS. THIS ISSUE ALMOST GOT MY FAMILY INTO AN AIDENT AS TRYING TO GO ONTO THE HIGHWAY ON THE ON RAMP THE CAR BEGAN TO SLIP DURING ACCELERATION CAUSE ME TO ALMOST BE REARENDED.
I'VE NOTICED WAY TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA HAVING TRANSMISSION. ISSUES AROUND 125K MILES. WHENEVER I SHIFT TO REVERSE, DRIVE , FIRST,SECOND, OR THIRD THERE IS A DELAY AND LOUD THUD. I'VE SEEN WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND THE FACT THAT THERE HASN'T BEEN A RECALL IS A SHAME. SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING. ANYONE?

TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 60K MILES. STUCK IN 5TH GEAR. SLAMMING, JERKING, HARD DOWNSHIFTS. NO REVERSE POWER. VERY HARD SHIFTING BETWEEN GEARS. ALSO PAINT PEELING OFF ENTIRE CAR. CAR PURCHASED FOR OVER 30K. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND ON STREET. PROBLEM IS CONSTANT UPON CAR REACHING OPERATING TEMP.
GOT THE CAR A YEAR AGO FROM CARMAX. HAD THE CAR FOR LESS THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT. THE MILEAGE WAS RIGHT AROUND 52,000 MILES. THEY TOOK IT BACK, FIXED IT AND IT WAS FINE. NOW HERE I AM AGAIN LESS THAN A YEAR LATER I'M HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUE. JERKING REALLY HARD IN BETWEEN GEARS, RPM WOULD RED LINE BEFORE IT WOULD FINALLY SWITCH GEARS. NOW THIS TIME THE TRANSMISSION COMPLETELY GAVE OUT ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION! WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS, THE CAR MADE A NOISE AS IF THE POWER WAS FAILING, AND SURE ENOUGH IT DID. THE CAR CUT OFF ON ME. CONTACTED CARMAX AGAIN TO SEE IF I HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. BUT THIS WILL BE THE SECOND TIME I'VE GOT THE CAR FIXED FOR THE SAME ISSUE. NOW I HAVE AROUND 80,000 MILES ON THIS CAR.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT WAS SINKING THROUGH THE FLOORBOARD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT WAS SINKING INTO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 152,000.
I HAVE A RECALL NOTICE FROM NISSAN BUT MY AUTO DEALER LEFT OUR AREA. NISSAN TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO ANOTHER TOWN THAT IS AT LEAST 70 MILES AWAY. I CANNOT GET IT THERE. THEY WILL NOT PAY ANOTHER NON-NISSAN LOCAL DEALER TO DO THE WORK. WHAT CAN I DO?
FOR MONTHS NOW, OUR 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA HAS EXPERIENCED A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. IT SHIFTS ROUGHLY IN LOW GEARS (WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION), BOTH WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. IT ALSO SHIFTS ROUGHLY WHEN MOVING FROM PARK TO EITHER DRIVE OR REVERSE, AND FROM DRIVE/REVERSE TO PARK. A SPECIFIC INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN WE WERE DRIVING DOWN A SLIGHT DECLINE, AND THE VEHICLE DOWNSHIFTED ROUGHLY. THIS CAUSED US TO MOMENTARILY LOSE CONTROL OF THE MAXIMA AND IT BUMPED INTO A CONCRETE BARRIER THAT HAD YELLOW PAINT ON IT. THIS PAINT IS NOW SCRAPED ACROSS THE BOTTOM GROUND EFFECTS MOLDING ON OUR VEHICLE. HAD THE BARRIER NOT BEEN THERE, WE WOULD HAVE DRIFTED ACROSS THE ROAD INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IN RESEARCHING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS FOR THE 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMA MODEL YEARS, IT'S APPARENT THAT MANY OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME TYPE OF PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION ON THEIR 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMAS, AND THE WIDESPREAD NATURE OF THESE ISSUES WARRANTS FURTHER INVESTIGATION AND POSSIBLE RECALL.
TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING VERY HARD.
I WAS COMPLAINING OF THE CAR JUMPING WHEN CHANGING GEARS, MECHANIC FOUND THAT THE MOTOR MOUNT WAS CRACKED. REPLACED IT, SOME IMPROVEMENT FOR SHORT PERIOD BUT NOW CAR IS JUMPING, HESITATION BETWEEN GEARS, ROUGH SHIFTING, AND DIMINISHED ACCELERATION. I DID NOT GO TO THE DEALER AS MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRED. THIS IS MY FIRST MAXIMA AND I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER. NOW TOLD THAT I'LL NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. NOT HAPPY.
PRIOR TO INCIDENT CAR WAS SHIFTING REALLY HARD AND SLIPPING GEARS. ONCE WHEN DRIVING, CAR SUDDENLY WENT INTO A SAFETY MODE NOT LETTING IT SHIFT OUT OF 5TH GEAR. GOING DOWN HILL CAUSED THE ENGINE TO STALL BECAUSE OF BEING IN 5TH GEAR AND CAR ENGINE TURNED OFF, AS WELL AS POWER STEERING AND BRAKING. HAD IT BEEN ON A BUSY ROAD A CRASH WOULD HAVE OCCURRED.
TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING GEARS RIGHT AROUND 58,000 MILES. I WOULD DRIVE IT AND IT WOULD GET STUCK IN 5TH GEAR. I WOULD HAVE TO SWITCH OVER TO MANUAL TO TRY AND SWITCH GEARS AND WHEN I WOULD DO THAT I WOULD EXPERIENCE VERY HARD SHIFTING AND JERKING. IF I'M SWITCHING FROM PARK TO DRIVE WHILE STATIONARY, EXTREMELY HARD JERKING AND IT WOULD STALL FOR 5 SECONDS BEFORE GOING INTO DRIVE. NISSAN REFUSES TO FIX THE ISSUE. I GUESS THEY WANT A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF PEOPLE TO DIE BEFORE ISSUING A RECALL! THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WHEN THE CAR DOES THIS. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CRAPPY NISSAN EVER AGAIN! NOT TO MENTION THE SENSORS THAT HAS CONSTANTLY BEEN REPLACED OVER AND OVER THINKING IT WILL FIX THE JERKING ISSUES, BUT IT DOESN'T. IMAGINE HAVING A CAR FULL OF KIDS WHILE IT DOES THIS. I AM CONTACTING REGARDING MY 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA, I RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR BOARD IS RUSTED RIGHT THROUGH AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN CAN ACTUALLY SEE THE CARPET THROUGH THE HOLE. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A WIDE SPREAD ISSUE THE NISSANS OF THIS AGE AND IT IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE. IS ANYTHING BEING DONE REGARDING THIS. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF FINDING OUT EXACTLY THE COST OF THIS ISSUE BUT WANTED TO FILE MY COMPLAINT AND SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO OR IF THERE IS ANYTHING BEING DONE ABOUT NISSAN RECALLING THIS ISSUE. VALVE BODY HAD TO BE REPLACED IN TRANSMISSION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE ENGINE AND SLIP WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. ONCE THE VEHICLE FINALLY RESTARTED, THERE WAS A DELAY IN ACCELERATION AND THE SLIP LIGHT ILLUMINATED AGAIN. THE FAILURE OCCURRED MORE THAN TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,300.
TRANSMISSION SLIPS SHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR. ENGINE RPMS REV TO APPROX. 5000-6000. WHEN THE CAR FINALLY SHIFTS,THERE IS A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE THAT COMES IN THE REAR END OF THE CAR. *TR
TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND BREAKS MOTOR MOUNTS. TORE UP THE TRANSMISSION AND ALMOST CAUSED NUMEROUS WRECKS. SLIPS FROM DRIVING FROM THE START. ISN'T ALWAYS SLIPPING BUT WHEN IT DOES IT'S BAD. WORSE IN STREET THAN ON HIGHWAY.
TRANSMISSION HESITATES WHEN SHIFTING FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, ALSO BETWEEN SHIFTS IN DRIVE ENGINE REVS UP THEN TRANS SLAMS INTO GEAR CAUSING A HARSH JOLT FORWARD.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON, CAR JERKS INTO GEARS, RPM'S ACCELERATE WHEN DRIVING IN FIRST GEARS. PER NISSAN DEALER THEY SAID IT NEEDED NEW MOUNTS AND A NEW TRANSMISSION, I SHOULD TRADE IT IN THEY SAID :[ I HAVE MAINTAINED ALL OIL CHANGES AND HAVE KEPT UP MY SERVICE. TRANSMISSION QUIT WORKING, WAS STOPPED AT A BURGER KING AND WHEN I TRIED TO DRIVE OFF THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE, HAD IT TOWED AND SHOP SAYS THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD, THE SHOP DID HOMEWORK AND FOUND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED A LITTLE MORE THEN A YEAR AGO BY NORTH POINT NISSAN IN NORTH LITTLE ROCK, THEY SAY THERE WAS ONLY A YEAR WARRANTY ON IT AND TIME IS ALREADY UP SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THE NISSAN TECH SAID GET READY TO SAVE UP FOR ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE THEY CAN REPLACE IT AND A YEAR LATER IT WILL GO OUT AGAIN. BECOMING DANGEROUS AS SLIPPING AT HIGHER RPS HAS BECOME MORE PREVALENT OF LATE, ESPECIALLY LOWER SPEED, LIGHT INCLINE AND INCREASING SPEEDS. THERE ARE TSB'S ON THIS VEHICLE AND HAVE A CASE OPEN WITH NISSANAMERICA, AS OF TODAY'S DATE 4/21/2015. DEALER HAS, AT THIS POINT SEEMS PURPOSELY?, MISDIAGNOSING AND NON-ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF EXISTING AND KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE AW5550/51SN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE AND JUMPING/SURGING. I RECENTLY HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. IT HAS CLOSE TO 90K MILES ON IT AND THE TRANSMISSION IS HARD TO SHIFT AND NOT BEING COOPERATIVE ON MOST DAYS. THIS SEEMS TO BE MORE THAN A FLUID PROBLEM AND DUE TO RECENT RESEARCH I MAY NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION FOR $3,000 AND I DON'T HAVE THAT TYPE OF MONEY. I SEE THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS SPECIFIC CAR AND FEEL A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED ON THE 04-06 MODELS OF THIS AUTOMOBILE!! OTHER THAN THAT THE CAR RUNS GREAT. *TR

TODAY IS MARCH 26, 2015 AND FOR THE PAST WEEK; MY CAR HAS BEEN STALLING WHEN I AM SHIFTING GEARS. TODAY I WAS IN A NOT SAFE SITUATION AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN I SHIFTED THE GEARS TO MY CAR TO BEGIN DRIVING, THE CAR STALLED ON ME ALLOWING ME TO ONLY DRIVE AROUND 5-10 MPH DOWN THE STREET. I HAD TO HURRY UP AND PULL OVER BECAUSE I HAD CARS BEHIND ME. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SWITCHED GEARS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO STALL. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE AND DECELERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
THE CAR JERKS WHEN TRANSMISSION IS SWITCHED TO REVERSE, AND TAKES A GOOD 3 SECONDS TO ACTUALLY SWITCH TO REVERSE. THIS SEEMS TO BE AN EXTREMELY COMMON PROBLEM TO THESE CARS, AND IT IS DEFINITELY A DANGEROUS ONE. *TR
HAVING TROUBLE/DELAYED SHIFTING. IT WENT AWAY FOR A WEEK BUT IT CAME BACK AGAIN. WHEN I'M PRESSING ON THE GAS IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S REVVING THE ENGINE BUT THE CAR IS NOT MOVING AS IT SHOULD. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO JERK AND THEN STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS, CRANK POSITION SENSOR, AND THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MAY STILL NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION, BUT THESE REPAIRS SHOULD BE DONE FIRST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000.

WHEN DRIVING FOR A FEW MILES IT SHIFTS HARD LIKE THE TRANSMISSION ISN'T WANTING TO SHIFT RIGHT. AFTER READING ONLINE I FIND OUT THAT THIS YEAR OF MISSION IS KNOWN FOR SOME KIND OF FAULT IN THE TRANSMISSION! OTHER THEN THAT THE CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION BUT AFRAID TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION BUT I CAN'T AFFORD TO SPEND THE MONEY ON WHATEVER IS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION!
TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE IN THE LOWEST GEARS. WHEN THE CAR WARMS UP AFTER A 10 MILE DRIVE IT STARTS SLIPPING. WHEN I TRY TO STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP THE CAR JERKS OFF IN THE LOWER GEARS. I CAME TO KNOW ONLINE THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE ACROSS NISSAN. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELPFUL STEPS IN FIXING THE ISSUE. MY CURRENT VALUE IS AROUND $5000 I HATE TO SPEND NEARLY $3500 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION ON THE VEHICLE. I'M SURE MY CAR WILL RUN FOR ANOTHER 30 - 40,000 MILES IF THIS IS FIXED.
CAR JERKS/JOLTS/SLAMS INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE, WHEN DRIVING AROUND 25 MPH & TAKE MY FOOT OF THE ACCELERATOR THE CAR STARTS TO JERK, WHEN I START TO SPEED UP AFTER SLOWING DOWN THE RPM'S GO CRAZY HIGH & THE MOTOR FEELS LIKE IT'S BEING FORCED TO SPEED UP BUT IT WON'T & AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT WILL SLAM INTO GEAR & BEGIN TO SPEED UP WHICH IS PRETTY SCARY. *TR
BOUGHT CAR USED FROM NISSAN DEALER. GOOD SERVICE RECORDS WITH REGULAR ON TIME TRANSMISSION SERVICES. DAY AFTER I DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT IT STARTS VIOLENTLY JERKING INTO GEAR AND IN THE MIDDLE OF GEAR. RANDOMLY DROPS IN AND OUT OF GEAR, JERKS OUT OF NOWHERE. HAS JERKED SO HARD MY NECK AND UPPER BODY WERE SOMEWHAT SORE THE NEXT MORNING. DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN CLOSE TRAFFIC AS IT COULD EASILY JERK VIOLENTLY ENOUGH TO MAKE ME JERK THE WHEEL, ACCIDENTALLY SLIDE FOOT DOWN ONTO THE GAS OR BRAKE, ETC. THIS TRANSMISSION AND CAR WAS WELL CARED FOR ALL OF ITS 107K MILES AND I HAVE SOLID REPAIR HISTORY PAPERWORK TO PROVE IT. THIS IS A DANGEROUS, POTENTIALLY DEADLY TRANSMISSION IN THESE CARS. I HAVE A QUOTE FOR A $3500 QUOTE TO HAVE IT REPAIRED BY A SHOP. THIS LESS THAN TWO WEEKS OF OWNING THE CAR. I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED. *TR
