BOUGHT THE CAR USED IN 2013 WITH 120,000 MILES ON IT. THE CAR HAS OVERHEATED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE WE BOUGHT IT, BUT WE WERE ABLE TO CONTROL IT AND KEEP IT FROM CAUSING ANY ISSUES. SUDDENLY, WHEN I WAS SHIFTING FROM PARK TO REVERSE THE CAR JERKED EXTREMELY HARD, WHILE DRIVING THE CAR HESITATES TO ACCELERATE, AND HAS A HIGH RPM READING WHEN SHIFTING GEARS. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE, I HAVE COME ACROSS NO FEWER THAN 30 COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME PROBLEMS WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR. *TR
TAKING OFF CAR JERKS REAL BAD BETWEEN 1ST & 2ND GEAR, THEN WHEN I PUSH DOWN ON GAS SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T WANT TO MOVE. SLOWING DOWN CAR KICKS & JERKS WHEN DOWN SHIFTING. NOW IT'S AT THE POINT WHERE THE CAR STALLS WHEN SWITCHING GEARS. PUTTING THE CAR FROM PARK TO DRIVE IT HESITATES ABOUT 5 TO 7 SEC AND MAKES A LOUD SOUND WHEN IT JERKS. TRANSMISSION SLIPS OUT OF GEAR UNDER 20M.P.H. CAUSING ENGINE TO REV UP TO 4RPM AND SOMETIMES 5RPM. THIS ISSUE IS HAPPENING WHETHER I IN MOTION ON A STREET OR HIGHWAY, STATIONARY GETTING READY TO PUT THE CAR IN GEAR, ETC. I AM REALLY AFRAID THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT OR SOMETHING. I TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAYS I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION.
TRANSMISSION KEEPS SLAMMING HARD INTO GEAR. *TR
I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JUNE 2014 AND IT WAS FINE FOR THE FIRST FEW DAYS. ALL OF THE SUDDEN IT WOULD JERK WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE AND WHILE SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND. I TRIED TO GET THE DEALERSHIP TO HELP AND THEY WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE I COULDN'T GET A HOLD OF THEM UNTIL 30 DAYS AFTER I BOUGHT IT. ONE DAY I WAS WITH MY MOTHER AND WE WERE DRIVING. IT THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING, THE CAR JERKED AND SKIDDED. WE ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR. I HAVE A FAMILY AND I COULDN'T BARE IT IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO THEM. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE AND IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED. THE CAR HAS ALREADY DONE IT DANGEROUSLY ANOTHER TIME SINCE THEN. NISSAN NEEDS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND NOT PUT THE LIVES OF PEOPLE IN DANGER. *TR
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD MAKE AN ABNORMAL NOISE WHEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE JERKED OR SHOOK WHEN SHIFTING BETWEEN SECOND AND THIRD GEARS. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

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
JUST A MONTH AFTER BUYING THIS CAR, I TOOK IT THROUGH INSPECTION. I DROVE THE CAR, WHICH WAS OPERATING PERFECTLY, DIRECTLY TO THE INSPECTION STATION WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES FROM HOME. ON THE WAY HOME, IT STARTED TO DOWNSHIFT HARD, SPECIFICALLY WHEN CLOSE TO FIRST GEAR. IT THEN STARTED TO HAPPEN PERIODICALLY. IT IS NOW TO THE POINT THAT IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME YOU SLOW DOWN. AND NOW, IT SOMETIMES BUCKS WHEN ACCELERATING. FORGET ABOUT TAKING YOUR FOOT OFF OF THE GAS TO SLOW DOWN; THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO BUCK SO BADLY THAT IT FEELS AS THOUGH YOU HAVE BEEN REAR-ENDED. I TOOK MY CAR TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST WHO STATED THAT HE COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION, EVEN WHEN HOOKING IT UP TO AN ELECTRONIC COMPUTER TO FIND A CODE. UPON RESEARCHING, I FOUND THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMAS AND THAT NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT IT BUT REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SOUNDS TO ME LIKE NISSAN NEEDS TO DO A RECALL TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM! WHEN CALLING NISSAN, THEY WANT YOU TO TAKE YOUR CAR IN FOR THEM TO DIAGNOSE IT, WHICH WOULD BE AT MY COST, OF COURSE. AND THEN THEY WOULD JUST TELL ME WHAT I CAN PAY FOR THEM TO DO TO FIX IT.
CAR JERKS WHEN ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION REACHES APPX 20 MPH. *TR
TRANSMISSION STARTED FAILING AT AROUND 98K MILES. JERKS AND SLIPS WHILE DRIVING. DOESN'T PERFORM PROPERLY WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE. HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ON ANY TYPE ROAD, ANY CONDITIONS, ANY TIME AND AT ANY SPEED.
WITHIN ONE MONTH OF GETTING THE CAR, TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING. IT WOULD JERK REALLY HARD AND ALMOST RED LINE BETWEEN 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD GEAR. IT ALSO DOES IT WHEN I TRY TO REVERSE! IT JERKED SO HARD ONE TIME I THOUGHT SOMEBODY HAD HIT THE BACK OF MY CAR! I TOOK IT BACK TO CARMAX (WHERE I ORIGINALLY GOT IT) AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE VALVE. THEY QUOTED 2000.00 TO FIX THE CAR, BUT SINCE I HAD IT FOR LESS THAN 30 DAYS THEY FIXED IT. SEVEN MONTHS LATER I STARTED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. I'M SO FRUSTRATED! I JUST WANT ANOTHER CAR! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN, EVER! AFTER RESEARCHING AND READING ALL THE REVIEWS, A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS ME WITH THIS CAR. (ALONG WITH OTHER NISSAN MODELS). AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:1) WHEN YOU SHIFT FROM PARK TO DRIVE THE CAR DOES NOT ENGAGE AT FIRST THEN SUDDENLY ENGAGES AND ACCELERATES VERY QUICKLY. 2) HARD JERKING SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND FROM 2ND TO 1ST. 3) WHEN DE-ACCELERATING FROM A HIGHER GEAR TRANSMISSION DISENGAGES THEN ENGAGES HARD. 4) THE CAR INTERMITTENTLY DOES THIS GOING A DAY OR TWO PERFORMING NORMALLY. *TR
THE 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA (AND OTHER MODELS DURING THIS YEAR) HAS A VALVE BODY DEFECT AND THE COMPANY REFUSES TO RECOGNIZE AND RECALL THE PROBLEM. THIS PART HELPS THE VEHICLE WITH SHIFTING THROUGH GEARS. AS IT STANDS RIGHT NOW EVERY TIME THE VEHICLE GOES FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR, THERE IS A HUGE VEHICLE JERK (SIMILAR TO BEING IN A REAR END CAR COLLISION). THE VEHICLE ALSO JERKS WHEN GOING FROM SECOND TO FIRST. AT TIMES, THE CAR EVEN DELAYS IN SHIFTING PUTTING THE DRIVER EVEN MORE AT RISK THERE ARE MANY CONSUMERS THAT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE VALVE BODY IS SUCH AN ISSUE THAT THERE IS A PENDING LAWSUIT AGAINST NISSAN FOR THIS PROBLEM. DRIVING WITH A DEFECTED VALVE BODY IS AN ENORMOUS SAFETY ISSUE AND NISSAN FEELS IT IS NOT THEIR ISSUE TO DEAL WITH. *TR
WE PURCHASED THIS CAR IN 08/13 AFTER WE BOUGHT THE CAR IT NEEDED A TRANSMISSION THEN ENDED UP PUTTING 2 TRANSMISSIONS IN THE CAR, ALSO A NEW THROTTLE BODY WITH ALL THIS AND THE PURCHASE OF THE CAR IT IS OVER $8,000 IN THIS USELESS CAR, THAT NOW IS TOTALED DUE TO FAULTY BRAKES AND TRACTION CONTROL, THESE CARS ARE DANGEROUS IT WAS ONLY GOIN 20 MPH THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED, AND THE BRAKES LOCKED AND THE THROTTLE WAS HUNG OPEN, THEN IT HIT A BANK AND FLIPPED OVER NOW IT IS TOTALED AND WE HAVE NOTHING THESE CARS ARE JUNK. *TR
I HAVE HAD MY 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS NOW. FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS IT'S HAS BEEN EXTREMELY HAZARDOUS. IT TURNS OFF WHILE I'M DRIVING IT AND I LOSE ALL POWER POWER STEERING, BRAKES, ETC. I ALMOST DROVE INTO THE RIVER YESTERDAY BECAUSE IT SHUT OFF GOING AROUND A TURN AND I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. MY CAR STARTS ACTING UP AFTER IT WARMS UP ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER START. IT WILL SHIFT VERY HARD AND IS FINE ONCE IT IS PAST 3RD GEAR BUT IT TAKES A WHILE TO GET TO THIRD WHEN IT STARTS TO MESS UP THE RPMS WILL GO UP TO 4 AND 5 THROUGH 1ST AND 2ND GEAR. WHEN YOU'RE GOING DOWNHILL IT WILL DOWNSHIFT LIKE YOU SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES. ALSO IF YOU SWITCH OVER TO MANUAL IT WILL SAY YOU'RE IN 5TH GEAR AND REALLY YOU'RE IN 1ST. THE SERVICE ENGINE DIAGNOSIS READS A CODE FOR THE CAM SHAFT SENSORS. I HAVE CHANGED BOTH OF THEM BANK 1 AND BANK 2 AND IT DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. NISSAN HAS FAILED TO DO ANYTHING AND IT'S HAPPENING TO A TON OF CARS. IF I'M ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR SHUTS OFF, IT NOT GOING TO BE A GOOD SITUATION. IF YOU TAKE IT TO NISSAN THEY TRY TO GET YOU TO BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION. I HAVE A TWO YEAR OLD AND THE JERKING OF THE CAR OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER IS NOT SAFE FOR HER OR ANYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD. I RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA FROM CARMAX IT WAS ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO SLIP AND CHANGE GEARS REALLY ROUGH. THE TRANSMISSION HESITATES WHEN CHANGING GEARS EITHER AT IDLE OR WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION DOES IT THE MOST BETWEEN FIRST AND SECOND AND SECOND TO THIRD AND WHEN DOWNSHIFTING IN THOSE SAME GEARS. MY MAIN CONCERN IS MY FAMILY IN THIS VEHICLE OR ANY OTHER FAMILIES IN THE SAME VEHICLE WHEN WE ARE DRIVING IN THE VEHICE OUR HEADS AND NECKS GET WHIPPED BACK AND FORTH VERY ROUGHLY. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION CHANGING GEARS ON ITS OWN WHILE IM DRIVING THE CAR. I ONLY ASK FOR YOU TO PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND MAKE IT A RECALL. NISSAN DID NOT WANT TO HELP ME OUT OR ANYONE ELSE. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AND HEARD NUMEROUS STORIES ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. IT NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED. AFTER COMING TO A STOP THE CAR DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE. GOING FROM 1ST TO 2ND IS THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE BUT THE CAR IS NOT SHIFTING WELL INTO ANY GEAR. THE TRANSMISSION ALREADY FAILED AT 48,000 MILES AND WAS REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY. IT IS SAD TO KNOW THAT NISSAN WOULD NOT CORRECT THE TRUE PROBLEM, SIMPLY MASK IT FOR THE TIME BEING AND PUT A SINGLE MOTHER RIGHT BACK INTO THE SAME DIFFICULT SITUATION. THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. 2 OUT OF THE 4 CARS THAT I HAVE OWNED HAVE BEEN NISSAN'S. I PURCHASED THIS CAR FOR RELIABILITY. SURE, PROBLEMS WILL COME ABOUT WITH ANY CAR OVER 100,000 MILES, BUT YOU DON'T EXPECT THE TRANSMISSION TO GO OUT ON YOUR NISSAN. THIS VEHICLE ALONG WITH MANY 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMS HAVE A LOT OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES, MY CAR HAS SWITCHED GETS SO HARD I HD A MINOR WHIPLASH, THE RPMS RAISE SO HIGH THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED ASAP. THIS IS A BAD ISSUE THAT HAPPENS IT CAUSES MY VEHICLE TO JUMP FORWARD AFTER PRESSING ON THE GAS, AND I HAVE A 2 YR OLD DAUGHTER THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, HELP THE PEOPLE, SOMEONE GET OFF THEIR ASSESS AND HELP US. *TR
I BOUGHT A 2005 NISSAN MAXIMA FROM PRIVATE OWNER LESS THAN A WEEK AGO. THE CAR HAD A HARD SHIFT WHEN PUT INTO DRIVE. THE LADY I BOUGHT FROM, TOLD ME THAT AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION IS WORKING PROPERLY AND IT NEEDS THE TRANSMISSION MOUNTS THATS ALL. SHE REPLACED ONE SIDE BUT DID NOT HAVE MONEY TO DO THE OTHER SIDE. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE ABOUT 1000 MILES BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION STOPPED WORKING. I HAVE READ SO MANY COMPLAINS ONLINE ABOUT THE SAME EXACT ISSUE AND NISSAN WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. *TR
FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS, I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING MY TRANSMISSION SLIPPING/JERKING FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR WHEN I EITHER ACCELERATE OR DECELERATE AND ALSO WHEN I MOVE FROM PARK TO DRIVE, AND REVERSE. I, LIKE COUNTLESS OTHERS WHO HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE WAS TOLD IT WAS MY MOTOR MOUNTS AT FIRST. GOT THOSE FIXED AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTED. TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID I NEED TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION ($4300). I AM SHOCKED TO SEE SO MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. THE JERKING IS VERY ABRUPT AND STARTLING. THERE IS A SERIOUS DELAY IN CHANGING GEARS AND SOMETIMES, THE CAR WON?T CATCH INTO DRIVE/RHYTHM WHICH CAUSES THE RPMS TO REV HIGHER THAN NORMAL. THIS IS DRAINING MY GAS MILEAGE AS WELL. I WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER MECHANIC THAT IT IS THE TRANSMISSION SELINOID AND VALVE THAT NEED TO BE REPLACED WHICH WOULD COST $1,500. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR THESE MODELS AND THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF VALUED NISSAN OWNERS WHO HAVE TO DRIVE THEIR CAR WITH UNEASINESS AND FEAR THAT THEIR TRANSMISSION WILL FAIL THEM WHILE ON THE ROAD, ENDANGERING THEMSELVES AND OTHERS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THE TRANSMISSIONS. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE INVESTED INTO THESE CARS FOR RELIABILITY AND SAFETY. *JS
WHEN I BROUGHT MY CAR AFTER 2-3 MONTHS I HAD TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO GET IT FIX. THEN MY AIR CONDITION WENT OUT, IT WAS MY AIR COMPRESSOR TOOK IT IN TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO GET IT FIX, AFTER, A WEEK OR TWO IT WENT OUT AGAIN TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT LOOKED AT I WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A PART ( SOME TYPE OF CLIP ). JUNE 10 , 2014 MY CAR WAS ON FIRE IN MY GARAGE WHILE I WAS SLEEPING. WHEN I WOKE UP THAT MORNING MY HEADLIGHTS WERE FLASHING OFF AND ON . WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR MY WINDOW WAS FULL OF SUT AND MY WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED . WHEN I OPEN THE CAR DOOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE THE DASH BOARD AND UNDER THE DASHBOARD WAS MELTED , THE ODOMETER AND THE FUSE BOX (EVERYTHING ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS MELTED ) .YOU CAN SMELLED THE SMOKE,THAT IT WAS ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED OUT JUST IN CASE IT SPARKED BACK UP. UNDER THE HOOD WAS NOT DAMAGE. I HAVE PICTURES OF DAMAGES. THEY HAD TO PUSH THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE IT WOULDN'T GO INTO GEAR. THE RESULTS WAS IT STARTED FROM THE FUSE BOX. MY CAR WAS TOTALED OUT BY MY INSURANCE ADJUSTER. I FEEL THIS MATTER NEED TO BE LOOKED INTO AND SOMETHING NEED TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS SITUATION . THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE, FUMES WERE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 92,000.

I TOOK MY CAR TO NISSAN TO HAVE MY CAR TOTALLY CHECKED OVER . THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD SHARP JERKS FROM THE TRANSMISSION AND HESITATION AROUND 40 MPH . THE TIMING CHAIN ALSO HAD A RATTLE WHEN THE CAR WAS STARTED. MY ABS SYSTEM HAD FAILED DUE TO WATER SHORTING OUT THE ABS SENSOR WHICH DESTROYED THE ABS CONTROL MODULE REPAIR COST 1200.00 . WHEN I TOLD THE SERVICE ADVISOR MY ABS LIGHT WAS ON, HE HAD A SERVICE BULLETIN AT HIS STATION WITH EXACTLY WHAT HE THOUGHT WAS WRONG WITH MY CAR AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS A COMMON ISSUE WITH MY CAR. THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS A VALVE BODY DUE TO PREMATURE WEAR COST 3500.00 TO REBUILD AND INSTALL NEW VALVE BODY DESIGN . THE TIMING CHAIN HAS GUIDES THAT WEAR AND CHAIN RUBS AGAINST PLASTIC THEN DOWN TO METAL REPAIR COST 1500.00. I PURCHASED MY 05 MAXIMA IN APRIL OF 2014 AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER DRIVING IT HOME A HARD SHIFT INTO 3RD AND INTO 4TH HAPPENED. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK, MY MECHANIC FRIEND WAS WITH ME HE HAD ME PUT THE CARE IN DRIVE AND IT SLAMMED INTO GEAR. I CONTACTED A MECHANIC THAT WORKED ON TRANSMISSION AND FOUND OUT IT WAS THE VALVE BODY DEFECT THAT WAS NEVER RECALLED AND A MAJOR PROBLEM IN THAT MODEL. I PURCHASED A USED/NEW VALVE BODY FROM A TRANSMISSION SHOP, IT LASTED A FEW MONTHS WENT BAD AS IN JUMPING OUT OF GEAR, STAYING STUCK IN 5TH OR 3RD, PUTTING IT IN PARK AND TRYING TO SHIFT TO DRIVE AND IT NOT GOING INTO GEAR. I RETURNED THE PART GOT ANOTHER USED VALVE BODY AND IT ONLY LASTED A FEW WEEKS. NOW I AM HAVING TO PURCHASE A NEW VALVE BODY FROM NISSAN HOPING THIS WILL FIX IT. AFTER READING MANY FORUMS OF THE SAME ISSUE, NO LONGER ABLE TO BYPASS THE ISSUE AND WISHING NISSAN WOULD ACKNOWLEDGE THE PROBLEM I AM STUCK WITH BEING ALMOST 2000 OUT OF POCKET ON WHAT SEEMED TO BE A GOOD DEAL. *TR

NOW IT HAS ABOUT 106000 MILES ON IT AND IT IS GETTING MUCH WORSE. THE OTHER DAY IT GOT STUCK IN 5TH GEAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT AND EVEN WITH THE CAR IN PARK IT WOULD STILL READ 5TH GEAR ON THE DASH. I ENDED UP RESETTING THE BATTERY AND IT CLEARED THE ISSUE LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO GET IT HOME. THE CAR IS STILL HAVING THE SAME ISSUES MORE AND MORE EACH DAY AND I REALLY DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER IT WILL LAST. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR BUT I READ ON MANY FORUMS THAT 100'S OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AND I WAS REALLY HOPING TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A RECALL.
