The contact filed the complaint on behalf of the owner of the 2006 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stationary and being serviced with the engine running, the service technician closed the front driver's side door and moments later the front and rear driver's side curtain air bags deployed. The contact stated that during the failure, there was no one seated in the vehicle. The contact stated that there was no impact to the vehicle to cause the air bags to deploy. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 90,948.
My brakes dont work unless my 3 dashboard lights come on. Slip, tcs and abs. Sometimes I forget and drive off. When I brake at the light you could here the wires buzzing as if there was a short circuit. Finally on my passenger side in the 'back, the tire was wiggling and noticed some lugs were missing plus the hubs lugs were loose. I haven' t taken to go get it inspected because I dont have money at the moment.
WELL MY CAR WHILE DRIVING IT WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF IN ME WHILE IM DRIVING IT. AFTER IT CRANKS BACK UP IT IS VERY SLOW TO TAKE OFF
When you're driving in hazardous conditions the car loses stability and it caused me to go into a spin and hit a wall, anytime it rains you can feel that the car starts to lose grip of the road and I fear for my life every time it remotely starts to rain or the road is wet. And there's a recall on the Nissan Maxima regarding the rear suspension something and the effect of the recall on that vehicle is what's happening to my vehicle.
I BOUGHT THIS 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA SL WITH 137,806 MILES. I DROVE IT HOME. THE NEXT DAY, IT WOULD NOT START, I WENT AND BOUGHT A BATTERY, ON THE WAY THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON., THEN THE TCS AND SLIP LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC SHOP, HE KEEP IT ALMOST 4 WEEKS, AND THEN TOLD ME IT WAS NOT WORTH FIXING/REPAIRING IT. I COULD NOT BELIEVE, I JUST SPENT OVER $4,000.00 ON THIS CAR AND I ONLY DROVE IT HOME!!, I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER WELL KNOWN MECHANIC SHOP, HE TELLS ME THAT IT NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION, MOTOR MOUNTS, SENSORS AND PROBABLY MORE. IT IS NOT WORTH FIXING IT. I AM A 57 YEAR OLD LADY AND I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY ANOTHER CAR AND I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT. I HEAR THAT THESE CARS HAVE ALOT OF TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS AND MORE. I WISH I HAD KNOWN THAT BEFORE BUYING IT.
TRANSMISSION SLIPPING FROM 2ND TO 3RD AND 3RD TO 4TH WITH A HARD KNOCK GOING FROM PARK TO DRIVE. WHILE DRIVING AND SLOWING TO 25MPH TO GO AROUND A TURN THE CAR JERKED AND HARD KICKED DOWNSHIFTING CAUSING ME TO ALMOST TO HIT FROM BEHIND.
I WAS DRIVING IN A RESIDENTIAL AREA AND SUDDENLY STEERING WHEEL GOT STIFF, BRAKES SEEMED TO BE ON, DASHBOARD LIGHTS APPEARED WITH "TCS OFF" "SLIP" AND "CHECK ENGINE " ALL APPEARED ON DASHBOARD. I ALMOST CRASHED DUE TO THIS.

WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY FAILED TO ACCELERATE AND BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE. AFTER RESTARTING THE ENGINE, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT DRIVE FORWARD. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 200,000. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN.
WHEN ACCELERATING IN LOW GEARS, THE VEHICLE JUMPS AND JERKS AND SOMETIMES REVS UP THE ENGINE. BAD TRANSMISSION. WHEN PLACED INTO REVERSE, IT STOPS AND JERKS.

MY CAR CAUGHT FIRE DUE TO ELECTRICAL IN THE ENGINE THE WHOLE FRONT OF MY CAR IS BURNED ME AND MY FAMILY WAS ASLEEP THE NEIGHBOR CAME AND KNOCKED ON THE WINDOW AND SAID MY CAR WAS ON FIRE I CALLED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT THEY PUT THE FIRE OUT AND I ASKED HOW WAS THE FIRE STARTED THE FIREMEN TOLD ME THE FIRE STARTED FROM THE ENGINE
CAR HAS ISSUES SHIFTING FROM LOW GEARS, JERKING AND BUCKING

PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR BOARDS RUSTING OUT. MY 2006 MAXIMA HAS 106701 MILES AND HAS BEEN GARAGED SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW. IT NOW FAILED INSPECTION
"TAKATA RECALL" IN MOTION, SHIFTING HAS A LARGE CLOCK SOUND I'D LIKE TO KNOW IF IT'S A RECALL ON THE COIL. BOTH CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY, WHEN ACCELERATING IT SEEMS TO STALL IN MOVING TO THE NEXT GEAR OR ACTUALLY NOT EVEN SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR IN MOTION, SO WILL NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO PICK UP ANY MOMENTUM. REVERSE IS VERY LOUD WITH A SOMEWHAT BANG TO IT. AS I SAID BEFORE IT COULD BE THE COIL BUT I'D LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY IF IT'S ALSO A DRIVESHAFT.
MY 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA SE 81K MILES JUST QUIT SHIFTING. IT WILL NOT GO FORWARD OR REVERSE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KELLY NISSAN OF ROUTE 33 (3830 EASTON-NAZARETH HWY, EASTON, PA 18045, (610) 756-1442) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,854.
TRANSMISSION IS SHIFTING HARD AND SLIPPING
TAKATA RECALL: I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE MAIL REGARDING THE AIRBAGS IN MY CAR.
CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 50,000 MILES, WAS DEALER MAINTAINED AND, TRANSMISSION FAILURE. THE CAR HAS LESS THAN AVERAGE WEAR.
OVER TIME THE PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN SIGNIFICANTLY WORSE. WHILE TRANSMISSION ATTEMPTS TO SHIFT, IT "SLIPS" AND REVS UP UNTIL IT "CATCHES" AND THEN JERKS INTO GEAR. THIS HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING, AND ALSO WHILE DECELERATING YOU GET THE JERK AND LOUD "CLUNKING". WHEN CHANGING GEARS FROM REVERSE TO DRIVE, THE CAR WILL PAUSE OR HANG UP FOR A COUPLE SECONDS BEFORE POPPING INTO GEAR, ACCOMPANIED BY A JERK AGAIN. WHEN THE ENGINE IS SHIFTING AND YOU HEAR / SEE THE REVS START TO JUMP OFF YOU NEED TO LET OFF OF THE GAS IMMEDIATELY IN ORDER TO STOP IT FROM RED-LINING OR JERKING SO HARD YOU SNAP YOUR NECK. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE MODEL MAXIMAS. SAD.
This Vehicle is Severely Defective. This Vehicle is not safe to be on the road. This Vehicle has had several repairs for the same repair issue but the problem still exists. I have spent thousands on this Vehicle and this vehicle is still inoperative and not drivable. This Vehicle is a hazard for the road. VEHICLE IS UNSAFE! VEHICLE has still not been Repaired. Please I like to be Compensated and Reimbursed for the Loss I have suffered. Please compensate and/or reimbursed me for the $10,000.00 I lost in a Defective, Inoperable, and Unsafe Vehicle. Thank God My Child and I did not get seriously hurt while I was driving this vehicle. I remember one incident while I was driving this vehicle: Right in the middle of me driving this vehicle I was going about 40-45 mph on the highway, the vehicle just shut down all of a sudden. The entire Electrical System just Shutdown. That was very frightening! So, yes I like to be Fully Compensated for all my troubles with this vehicle.
THE CAR SHUTS DOWN IN THE MEST OF DRIVING OR A THE STOP SIGN. SOME TIMES IT WILL CRANK BACK UP AND SOME TIMES IT WILL NOT .SO NOW IT WILL NOT CRACK BACK UP.
BOUGHT CAR ONE YEAR AGO AT 120000 MILES. AFTER 2 MOS, CAR STARTED JUMPING WHILE PRESSING ACCELERATION AND THEN BEGAN TO JUST STOP WHILE I WAS DRIVING. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON , HAD CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSORS REPLACED. LESS THAN 2 MOS LATER, CAR WAS STARTING TO STALL AGAIN, ACCELERATOR STILL MAKING THE CAR STALL. HAD FUEL SYSTEM CHECKED, WAS FINE. THEN MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, NOW SAYING CAMSHAFT POSITION TIMING NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. MECHANIC TOLD ME THIS IS THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM HE SEES IN NISSAN VEHICLES. SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THE TIMING CHAIN IF THE PROBLEM IS SO COMMON. I RAN INTO A DITCH TWICE AND VERY NEARLY WAS IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN MY CAR CUT OFF WHILE I WAS TURNING AT A BUSY INTERSECTION. I COULDN'T TURN THE WHEEL AND NEARLY CRASHED! THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES. I REPORTED THE ISSUE DIRECTLY TO NISSAN BUT SINCE NO ACCIDENT WAS REPORTED I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY HELP OR ADVICE FROM THEM.
THE TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING AND SLIPPING A FEW WEEKS AGO TILL SUDDENLY STARTED DECELERATING IN THE FREE WAY TO THE POINT THAT HAD TO STOP. NOW IT DOESN'T ACCELERATE ANYMORE.
CAR TRANSMISSION SLIPS AND VIOLENTLY JERKS WHEN CHANGING GEARS FROM PARK TO 1ST OR REVERSE AND WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IN THE CITY. SUDDEN RPM INCREASE AND ACCELERATION WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. DUE TO THE JERKING, ENGINE MOUNT IS BROKEN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.
BOUGHT THIS CAR FOR MY DAUGHTERS FIRST CAR WHEN SHE TURNED SIXTEEN. SHE DROVE FOR ONE MONTH AND THE TRANSMISSION STARTED JERKING HARD, REVING UP HIGH, AND SLIPPING. SHE SCARED TO DRIVE NOW SO THE MONEY I PAID FOR THIS CAR IS WASTED. I'M A MOTHER OF TWO I DON'T HAVE THE KIND OF MONEY THEY WANT TO REPLACE THIS TRANSMISSION. SHE ONLY NEEDED TO DRIVE HER SIBLING AND HER TO AND FROM SCHOOL A MILE DOWN THE RD BUT THE CAR JERKS ON THE WAY THERE. NOT A VERY DEPENDABLE CAR FOR A NISSAN TOP OF THE LINE MADE VEHICLE. WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD A NISSAN GUESS I NEED TO SWITCH BRANDS SINCE NISSAN DOES NOT WANT TO FIX THE MISTAKE THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR.
ABS, TRC,BRAKE, STABILITY LIGHT ON, CAR JUMPS WHEN BRAKING AND LOUD NOISE WHEN BREAKING 25MPH AND LOWER. DEALER REFUSE TO DO THE REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY, THIS IS A LARGE PROBLEM FOR NISAN OWNERS. COST OF REPAIR 2-3000.00
PAINT IS FADING HOOD, TRUNK AND ROOF. TRANSITION IS BUCKING.
AT 107,000 MILES THE TRANSMISSION WAS JERKING INTO GEAR AFTER THE RPMS REVVED. TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED AT 107,000 MILES. TRANSMISSION IS NOW HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AT 148,000 MILES.
MY TRANSMISSION STARTED VIOLENTLY JERKING FROM PARK TO REVERSE AND DRIVE, HAD SEVERAL REPAIRS DONE TO NO AVAIL. CAR IS STUCK IN THIRD GEAR, WHICH IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHEN I START TO PULL OUT ONTO THE HIGHWAY I HAVE NO POWER, THE CAR JUST REVS HIGH RPMS AND GOES REALLY SLOW UNTIL I REACH 40 MPH. ITS JUST A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I GET HIT, I ALWAYS HAVE TO WAIT TO MAKE SURE NO CAR IS COMING IN MY DIRECTION. I HAVE HAD THE SOLENOIDS, VALVE BODY AMONG OTHER WORK DONE THAT HASN'T HELPED AT ALL AT A COST OF OVER $1500.00 THERE ARE APPARENTLY THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME ISSUES ALL OVER THE INTERNET. WHY IS THIS NOT BEING RECALLED! ITS PURE AND SIMPLE THEFT. TO BUY A CA R THAT HAS A KNOWN DEFECT AND THE COMPANY NOT CARING TO REMEDY THE ISSUE
I BOUGHT THIS CAR FROM A BUY HERE PAY HERE HAD THE CAR FOR 1 MONTH AND THE TRANSMISSION WENT IN IT. I WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS FROM SEVERAL PEOPLE. THE DEALER WILL NOT HELP ME BECAUSE IT WAS SOLD AS IS. BUT THEY NEVER TOLD ME ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. IT ACTUALLY DROVE FINE FOR A MONTH. I WAS DRIVING AND THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF. I TRIED TO TURN IT BACK ON WHEN IT DID IT WOULD NOT DRIVE. I HAD A MECHANIC HECK IT OUT. I NOW HAVE TO PURCHASE A NEW TRANSMISSION.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (THE CONTACT'S BROTHER) AND REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT'S BROTHER THEN DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNT FAILED BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT SHIFTING PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
PURCHASED A 2006 MAXIMA WITH 62,000 MILES ON IT. BODY IS RUST FREE, CAR IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. HOWEVER, WHILE INSPECTING THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR, NOTICED THAT BOTH THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE OF THE FLOOR BOARDS ARE RUSTED CLEAR THOUGH AND THAT A HOLE AROUND 10-12 INCHES IS FORMING. THE ONLY THING HOLDING YOUR FEET FROM HITTING THE ROAD IS THE CARPET. THIS CAR HAS NO OTHER SIGNS OF RUST ISSUES ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER DISCOVERY, I WENT TO THE INTERNET ONLY TO LEARN THAT THIS IS A MAJOR ISSUE WITH ALTIMAS AND MAXIMAS AND THAT NOTHING IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT, BOTH BY NISSAN AS WELL AS THE SAFETY WATCH DOGS. I'VE OWNED MANY CARS WITH THE TAKATA AIRBAGS, AND NEVER AN ISSUE, EVEN IN ONE MY WIFE HAD AN ACCIDENT IN. AIRBAG WORKED LIKE IT SHOULD, YET THAT RECALL IS WIDELY KNOWN AND IS BEING ADDRESSED. HERE, YOU CAN LITERALLY FALL THOUGH THE FLOOR OF THE CAR, ON A CAR WITH 62,000 MILES ON IT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND NOT ONE THING APPEARS TO BE HAPPENING TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. WHY? THIS CAR COST $32,500 NEW IN 2006 AND ONLY PROVIDED A USEFUL LIFE OF 62,000 MILES BEFORE IT BECAME SO UNSAFE THAT DRIVING IT IS FOOLISH. AT WHAT POINT WILL NISSAN, WHO COLLECTED THAT $32,500 BE FORCED TO COUGH SOME OF THAT BACK UP TO CORRECT ISSUES LIKE THIS IN ORDER TO CONTINUE SELLING VEHICLES IN THE UNITED STATES?
MY 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA IS SHIFTING GEARS ON ITS ON AS IF THERE IS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THE STEERING WHEEL KEEPS SHIFTING TO ONE SIDE THE GUYS AT THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT PLACE TOLD ME IT'S THE RACK AND PINION. THEY ALSO INFORMED ME THAT THE RACK AND PINION GOES OUT VERY FAST AND THE PART IS ABOUT 400$. THE GAS LIGHT AND THE LIGHT THAT TELLS YOU THAT YOU NEED COOLANT HAS BEEN ON AND STAYS ON. THE CAR IS NOT RUNNING HOT AND MY CAR HAS A FULL TANK OF GAS.

BOUGHT THE CAR 1 MONTH BACK AND THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN ACTING UP.IT STALLS AND JUMPS INTO DRIVE.THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING WITH ALL MAXIMA OWNERS. SOMETIMES THE GEAR SLIPS TOO. IT'S VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR,PLEASE FORCE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM.
WITH 152193 MILES THE TRANSMISSION BEGAN SLIPPING AND JERKING BADLY WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. TOOK IT INTO THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.

THE TRANSMISSION IS ACTING UP AS WITH ALL OTHER MAXIMAS. IT'S JERKING AND SLIPPING ON THE STREET.IT'S REALLY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. CALLED UP THE DEALER AND NEW TRANSMISSION WOULD COST $3000.
THE 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA HAS A MAJOR ISSUE OF VIOLENTLY JERKING AFTER 100K MILES, I HAVE SEEN REPORTS THAT IT DOES THIS EVEN BEFORE IT REACHES SUCH MILEAGE. I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA WORST CAR I HAVE EVER BOUGHT I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER NISSAN PRODUCT. THE CAR VIOLENTLY JERKS INTO GEAR WHEN COMING TO A STOP OR DRIVING OFF, THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED BY MANY OWNERS AND NISSAN HAS DONE NOTHING. I HAVE SPENT 1800 HUNDRED DOLLARS REPLACING THE ENGINE MOUNTS AND THE CAR STILL JERKS. THE CAR IS PAID FOR AND I WILL NOT SPEND ANYMORE REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION BECAUSE THAT WOULD COST MORE THAN WHAT THE CAR IS WORTH.
TRANSMISSION WENT COMPLETELY OUT AFTER REPLACING IT AT 74,000 MILES. WENT OUT ON THE FREEWAY WHILE DRIVING. VERY DANGEROUS.
INITIALLY THE CAR WOULD HAVE A DELAY SHIFTING INTO PARK AND WOULD STICK IN 5TH GEAR WHILE DRIVING. I CHANGED THE FRONT CAM POSITION SENSOR, CPS, MYSELF FOR $80 IN PARTS AT AUTOZONE. THIS FIXED THE PROBLEMS FOR ABOUT 4 WEEKS. STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN AND THE REPAIR SHOP SAID IT WAS THE CAM POSITION SENSOR AGAIN. SO WENT BACK TO AUTOZONE AND THEY PROVIDED A NEW FRONT CPS FOR FREE. PROBLEM KEPT HAPPENING SO I TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THEY CHANGED THE BACK CAM POSITION SENSOR. SEAMS TO HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. IT IS NOW IS INTERMITTENT WHEN SHIFTING HARD INTO DRIVE, BUT HAS STARTED SHIFTING HARD AROUND 20-25 MPH, NOT SURE IF IT IS THE SENSOR AGAIN OR WHAT. VERY IRRITATING AND SEEMS TO BE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITH THE SENSORS THAT TELL THE TRANNY WHEN TO SHIFT? NOT SURE IF SENSORS KEEP GOING OUT OR IF THE WIRING HARNESS FOR IT KEEPS SHORTING THE SENSORS OUT OR WHAT THE ISSUE TRULY IS. IT WOULD BE NICE IF NISSAN WOULD FIGURE IT OUT AND TELL US WHAT TRULY NEEDS TO BE DONE TO FIX THE ISSUE. TRANSMISSION SEEMS TO BE IN WORKING ORDER OTHERWISE, BUT JUST SHIFTS HARD BETWEEN 1-2 GEARS? OTHERWISE THE CAR IS OUTSTANDING.
MY 2006 MAXIMA HAVE RUSTED OUT FRONT FLOOR BOARDS. THE CAR ONLY HAS 69,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN GARAGE SENSE BUYING THE CAR NEW IN 2006. THERE SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH FLOOR BECAUSE OF OTHER OWNERS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM.
"TRANSMISSION RECALL" MY NISSAN MAXIMA HAS 146,000 AND HAS NEVER BEEN HOT RODDED. I HAVE ONLY DROVE IT AROUND TOWN AND TO AND FROM WORK. RECENTLY WHILE DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION JUST GAVE OUT WHILE DRIVING. I WAS NOTICING SOME WEIRD SHIFTING PROBLEMS BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD GEAR. I NEVER REALLY NOTICED THAT BAD BUT IT WAS THERE. SO WHEN I WAS DRIVING THE TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC. I COUDNT GO ANYWHERE AND CARS WHERE HAVING TO GO AROUND ME. I HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE I WASN'T GOING TO PAY FOR THIS. I STARTED REASCHERING AND FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING. THIS IS AN EVIDENT PROBLEM THAT NEEDS FIXED.
HI ALL, I WENT TO SMOKY MOUNTAINS FOR MEMORIAL DAY LONG WEEKEND END AND I WAS ON THE 11 MILES DRAGON TAIL ROAD. MY 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA HAD BEEN ACTING WEIRD BY JUMPING WHEN THE GEAR IS SHIFTING AUTOMATICALLY BUT I DIDN'T TAKE IT HARD BECAUSE MY MECHANIC SAID IT IS NOT A TRANSMISSION ISSUE AND I TRUSTED HIM, BUT THAT DAY WAS A SCARY DAY WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE WAS JUMPING AUTOMATICALLY MORE THAN USUAL. I THOUGHT THAT I WOULD FALL FROM THE MOUNTAIN AND LUCKILY MY FRIEND ASKED ME TO TAKE A U TURN AFTER HALF THE ROAD. EVERYBODY IN THE CAR WERE SO SCARED AND PARANOID AFTER THE CAR ACTED IN SUCH WAY. WE KEPT OUR LIVES IN OUR HANDS AND LEFT HOPE ON GOD TO SAVE US TILL WE GET DOWN THE ROAD. THE WAY MY CAR ACTED ON THE DRAGON TAIL ROAD IN THE MOUNTAINS FREAKED US ALL. WE INITIALLY THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE DUE TO BAD GAS WITH ADDITIVES MAY BE WHICH FILLED NEAR SMOKY MOUNTAINS, BUT GOT CONFIRMED TODAY AFTER READING MULTIPLE ISSUES AND COMPLAINTS IN REFERENCE TO THE SAME PROBLEM VIA MANY SOURCES ON 2004-2006 NISSAN MAXIMA AND OTHER VEHICLES. WHY IS THE NORTH AMERICAN GOVERNMENT WHO ENSURES THE SAFETY ABOUT THESE VEHICLES NOT EVEN TAKING ANY ACTION IN REFERENCE TO THE SAME. I SAW THAT MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINED ON THIS ISSUE AND NO ONE GOT ANY LUCK ON THE SOLUTION. ALSO, WE ARE NOT ASKING TO GIVE US A NEW CAR. ALL THAT WE ARE ASKING IS JUSTICE FOR OUR HARD EARNED MONEY WHICH WE SPENT ON THIS JUNK NISSAN CARS. I THINK NISSAN HOLDS A JUNK YARD AND MAKES ALL THEIR TRANSMISSIONS FROM THE JUNK YARD PARTS. ALSO, THIS MANUFACTURER SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE AND PENALIZED TO THE MAXIMUM SO THAT NO OTHER PERSONAL CAN HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE AS ME. IMAGINE IF I HAD HIT SOMEBODY OR I MYSELF FELL FROM THE MOUNTAIN DUE TO THE NISSAN'S MISTAKE IN MANUFACTURING THESE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS. GOD, PLEASE PUNISH THESE PEOPLE WHO ARE PLAYING WITH OUR LIVES AS NO ONE ELSE IS HEARING OR HELPING US.
