MY 06 MAXIMA SL IS JERKING ON THE UPSHIFT FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND 2ND TO 3RD, SOMETIMES EVEN ON THE DOWNSHIFT. THE JERKING IS SO UNPREDICTABLE AND VERY DANGEROUS. IT'S BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW. I HAD MY CO WORKERS IN MY CAR AT MY LUNCH BREAK AND THE CAR WAS COMING TO A STOP SLOWING DOWN FROM 15 MPH AND THE CAR JUMPED FORWARD AFTER DOWNSHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 1ST GEAR. MY CAR JUMPED INTO THE INTERSECTION AND WAS ALMOST HIT BY A FORD 150 TRUCK. LUCKILY THE TRUCK SWERVED OUT OF THE WAY AND IT SCARED EVERYONE IN THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID THEY DID NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AFTER RUNNING A DIAGNOSTICS. THEY RECOMMENDED ME CHANGING MY TRANSMISSION FUEL. I CHANGED MY TRANSMISSION FUEL AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL HAPPENING. THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE A RECALL. AFTER READING ONLINE OF ALL THE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I FEEL IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I END UP IN A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT DUE TO THE JERKING OF THE TRANSMISSION HURTING MY SELF OR OTHER PEOPLE. *TR

WHEN DRIVING FOR OVER A PERIOD OF THIRTY MINUTES, THE VEHICLE WOULD DOWNSHIFT EXTREMELY HARD AND ROUGH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO RAN A DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED REPLACING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE YET THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE DIFFERENT TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 03V455000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) THAT MAY BE RELATED TO THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174,000.

THE TRANSMISSION IS FAILING AND NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICES IS RUDE! YOU CAN'T GET NISSAN TO ADMIT THERE ARE FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS ON SOME OF THERE NISSAN CARS/TRUCKS/SUV'S. I HAVE A 2006 MAXIMA W/ 104K MILES THAT IS HAVING THE SAME JERKING ISSUES. IN AUG 2011, THE CAR LURCHED AND JUMPED SO BAD IN TRAFFIC WHILE SLOWING DOWN. IT ALSO HAPPENS WHENEVER I AM PULLING FROM A STOP LIGHT OR REVERSING. THIS ISSUE CONTINUED AND SOMETIME I HAVE TO STOP THE CAR BECAUSE I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. SINCE THIS APPEARS AFTER THE CAR IS DRIVEN FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, I WILL LET THE CAR SIT FOR A WHILE BEFORE I DRIVE IT AGAIN. IT WILL DRIVE FINE FOR A FEW MILES AND START LURCHING AGAIN. I TOOK THE CAR TO OUR LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AND I WAS TOLD THAT I WILL NEED TO PAY THEM $105 FOR AN INSPECTION. I WENT ON TO TELL THEM THE ISSUE AND THE SERVICE PERSON ACTED AS IF HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. HE WAS SARCASTIC IN OUR CONVERSATION AND HE TOLD ME THAT I MAY HAVE TO BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION. *TT
THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING BADLY IN MY CAR BETWEEN 10 AND 25 MPH. IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD IF I AM ON A BUDY ROADWAY BECAUSE THE CAR WILL STALL AND NOT MOVE AT ALL FOR SEVERAL SECONDS SOMETIMES. I AM AFRAID IT IS GOING TO CAUSE ME TO GET REARENDED. THE PROBLEM DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL OF THE TIME AND I REALLY CANNOT PINPOINT WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS, JUMPS OUT OF GEAR BETWEEN GEARS. OFTEN IT WILL GO TO SHIFT THEN IT REVS UP NOT IN GEAR INSTEAD OF SHIFTING THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT SLAMS HARD INTO GEAR. THIS IS NOT A DAILY CONSTANT ISSUE IT IS RANDOM AND SOMETIMES WILL GO WEEKS BETWEEN HAVING THE ISSUE POP UP. WHEN IT POPS UP IT WILL HAPPEN DURING THAT ENTIRE DRIVE. THE NEXT TIME IT IS DRIVEN EVEN THAT SAME DAY EVEN JUST 15 MINUTES LATER IT WILL NOT HAVE SHIFTING ISSUES SOMETIMES IT DOES. HARD SHIFTING, TRANSMISSION SLIPPING, GEARING DOWN FOR NO REASON, ETC THIS CAR IS A LEMON, NISSAN SHOULD BE MADE TO RECALL THESE CARS. *TR
BEGINNING AT 38K MILES THE TRANSMISSION HAS STOPPED ENGAGING PROPERLY WHEN ACCELERATING BETWEEN 1ST & 2ND GEAR OF THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS OCCURS BETWEEN 20 AND 35MPH AND CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO SLAM INTO GEAR WITH A FORCE THAT NEGATIVELY IMPACTS THE DRIVER'S ABILITY TO CONTROL THE CAR CAUSING AN UNSAFE DRIVING EVENT. THE EVENT IS AS POWERFUL AS BEING HIT FROM THE REAR WHILE DRIVING. THE DEALER CHARGED $200 TO FLUSH THE TRANS BUT THIS HAD NO EFFECT. I HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO ENGAGE THE DEALER BUT HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE. I HAVE INVESTIGATED THIS PROBLEM AND FOUND IT IS WIDE SPREAD WITH THIS MODELS' 2005 & 2006 YEAR VEHICLES BUT IS DENIED BY THE MANUFACTURER AS A WARRANTY COVERAGE PROBLEM. THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IN MY NISSAN MAXIMA 2006 JERKS WHEN IT CHANGES FROM 1ST TO 2ND AND 3RD. THIS ALSO HAPPENS WHEN I SHIFT FROM PARK TO REVERSE. WHEN THE VEHICLE IS SHIFTED FROM PARK TO DRIVE THERE IS A HARD JERK PRIOR TO ENGAGEMENT. *TR
I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA, BOUGHT BRAND NEW FULLY LOADED CAR IN EARLY 2006. AFTER 80,000 MILES ON IT, THE CAR STARTED JERKING ON ME. HAD TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGED BUT IT DIDNT HELP. RECENTLY CAME TO KNOW THAT TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, A $5000 EXPENSE. THE CAR STARTS JERKING WHEN IT IS HOT OR HAVE BEEN DRIVEN IN CITY FOR ATLEAST 15-20 MINS. THE SHIFTING OF GEARS IS DIFFICULT. IT HAS STOPPED ON ME MANY TIMES WHILE DRIVING, A HIGH RISK WHEN I AM ON HIGHWAYS. WHEN MERGING ON HIGHWAY, THE INCREASE IN SPEED TAKES LONGER THAN USUAL, SO MAKES IT VERY DIFFICULT TO MERGE. PLS RECALL THIS, BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND LOT OF PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THIS. *TR
FROM A STOPPED POSITION, SLOWLY ACCELERATING FORWARD OR REVERSE, THE ENGINE SPEED INCREASES WITHOUT ANY VEHICLE MOVEMENT WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SUDDENLY SHIFTS OR ENGAGES WITH A VIOLENT JOLT. SUDDENLY PROPELLING THE VEHICLE IN A FORWARD OR REVERSE DIRECTION. UNLESS IMMEDIATELY BRAKING OCCURS THE VEHICLE MAY COLLIDE WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE OR END UP GOING THROUGH THE REAR WALL OF THE GARAGE. THIS PROBLEM HAS HAPPENED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND IS NOW BECOMING MUCH WORSE. A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET FOR 2006 MAXIMA TRANSMISSION SHOWS THIS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM. WHILE IT IS NOT KNOWN IF ANY SERIOUS ACCIDENT OR INJURY HAS OCCURRED IT DOES APPEAR TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
MY 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA HAS BEEN JERKING VERY BADLY, AND HAVING TROUBLE GETTING INTO GEAR. THIS HAPPENS EVERYTIME I DRIVE, SPEED UP, SLOW DOWN, AND REVERSE. SOMETIMES I CAN BARELY ACCELERATE ON THE FREEWAY. THIS HAPPENED AT AROUND 77,000 MILES, WHICH IS PAST MY WARRANTY. I HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT I PAID FOR, BUT OF COURSE, THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT COVERED TOTALLY, AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY A $500 DEDUCTIBLE JUST TO GET IT LOOKED AT, AND MAYBE GET IT FIXED. I'VE SPOKEN TO A MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT HE HAS HAD SEVERAL COMPLAINTS FROM FELLOW MAXIMA OWNERS OVER THE TRANSMISSION, I ALSO SPOKE TO A SERVICE MANAGER AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. HE ASKED ME WHAT CAR I HAD, AS SOON AS I TOLD HIM A MAXIMA, HE SAID "IT'S THE TRANSMISSION RIGHT? THEY ARE ALL BAD." SO IF THE NISSAN PEOPLE ACTUALLY KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION ON THE MAXIMAS, THEN WHY ARE THEY NOT RECALLING THEM? I WENT ONLINE AND SAW NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER MAXIMA OWNERS ABOUT THE SAME THING AT SEVERAL DIFFERENT FORUMS, AND CONSUMER COMPLAINT WEBSITES. WHAT IS NISSAN WAITING FOR TO FIX THIS? ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET KILLED BEFORE THEY DECIDE THAT SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT? I HAVE TWO KIDS, AND I DO NOT FEEL SAFE DRIVING THAT CAR, BUT I HAVE NO CHOICE. IT IS MY ONLY CAR, AND I CAN NOT AFFORD TO JUST REPLACE A TRANSMISSION EVERY 20,000 MILES. IT'S SAD, AND THE FACT THAT NISSAN KNOWS ABOUT THIS AND CHOOSES TO DO NOTHING IS TRULY PATHETIC. *TR
I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME CAME TO AN TO AN IMMEDIATE STOP. I WAS IN PROCESS OF BRAKING WHEN I WAS HIT IN REAR AND LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE THEN THEN WENT HEAD ON AND HIT THE GUARD RAIL. IT SPUN MY VEHICLE AROUND WHERE THE CAR ENDED UP FACING TRAFFIC ON SHOULDER OF ROAD. MY AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE ENDED UP BEING A TOTAL LOSS.
2006 NISSAN MAXIMA. I NOTICE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SLIPPING WHEN CHANGING GEARS. IT ALSO WAS JERKING REPEATEDLY WHILE CHANGING INTO 1ST AND 2ND GEAR AND THEN BACK DOWN FROM 2ND TO 1ST. I WAS TOLD BY A NISSAN SERVICE ADVISOR THAT MY CAR NEEDED A TRANSMISSION FLUSH. I HAD THE FLUSH DONE ON THE CAR, PROBLEMS STILL EXIST. NISSAN NOW SAYS I NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION. $3500. THERE ARE THOUSAND OF PEOPLE WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM. THIS TRANSMISSION SHOULD BE RECALLED, BEFORE SOMEONE GET HURT AND NISSAN STOP STEALING PEOPLE HARD EARNED MONEY. I PURCHASED A 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA IN FEBRUARY 2011..WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR IT APPEARED TO BE IN GOOD RUNNING CONDITION..THERE WERE A FEW VISIBLE PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE HEADLIGHTS,RUNNING LIGHT,POWER SEATS, OR WINDOWS WEREN'T WORKING PROPERLY..THAT PROBLEM WAS FIXED AND THE OWNER AGREED TO FIX THE BRAKES AND THE REMAINDER OF THE PROBLEMS HOWEVER ALMOST A YEAR LATER MY ANTI BRAKE LIGHT IS STILL ON & THE DEALERSHIP HAVE NOT MADE ANY ATTEMPT TO FIX MY CAR. 4MONTHS AFTER HAVING THE CAR THE SPEEDOMETER STOPPED WORKING AND THE ODOMETER,THE GAS GAUGE GOES BACK & FORTH,THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT REMAINS ON AND THE CAR JERKS WHILE DRIVING AND SOMETIMES WHEN SHIFTING THE CAR OUT OF DRIVE INTO REVERSE IT JERKS HARD. I HAVE QUITE A FEW FRIENDS WHO HAVE MAXIMA'S ALSO AND HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR CARS..IT'S OBVIOUS IT'S A DEFECT WITH THE TRANSMISSIONS,SPEED GAUGE & SO MANY OTHER DEFECTS WITH THESE CARS. SOMEWHERE THERE HAS TO BE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP MYSELF AS WELL AS OTHERS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING THESE PROBLEMS. I HAVE READ FAR TOO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE PARTICULAR CARS. THE COST TO REPAIR THESE CARS ARE EXPENSIVE & NOT TO MENTION THE COST TO HAVE YOUR TRANSMISSION REPLACED & ON TOP OF ALL THAT YOU ARE STILL RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING YOUR CAR NOTE. MY 2006 MAXIMA'S TRANSMISSION GAVE OUT AT 74,000 MILES OF NORMAL USE. THERE ARE 1,000'S OF OTHERS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM AND MOST HAVE HAD TO PAY AROUND $3,000 OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION REPLACED. THERE ARE SOME THAT WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE ALL OR MOST OF THE COSTS PAID BY NISSAN, EVEN WHEN THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. NISSAN REFUSES TO ASSIST WITH MY REPAIR STATING THAT I DIDN'T TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR IT'S REGULAR MAINTENANCE. BBB AUTO LINE STATES THAT THE VEHICLE IS TOO OLD FOR THEM TO ASSIST IN MY REPAIR COST RECOVERY. THIS IS A HUGE ISSUE WITH THIS GENERATION OF MAXIMA AND THERE SHOULD BE A FORCED RECALL, NO MATTER THE COST TO THE MANUFACTURER. WE PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR THEIR FLAGSHIP MODEL AND WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY EVEN MORE FOR THEIR FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS. ALSO, BROKEN ENGINE MOUNTS SEEM TO BE HIGH ON THE LIST OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS VEHICLE, WHICH MY MAXIMA ALSO HAS. VERY FRUSTRATING. NEED TO FIND HELP IN FILING A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST NISSAN. *TR

THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS A SUDDEN INCREASE IN ENGINES RPMS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE VALVE BODY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 59,000.

6/10/2011 THE TRANSMISSION ON MY 2006 NISSAN MAXIMA FAILED WITHOUT WARNING WHICH PREVENTED THE CAR FROM ACCELERATING. THIS WAS WHILE ON THE TURNPIKE IN PA WITH TRAFFIC MERGING AND MOVING AT SPEEDS OF UP TO 75MPH. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT GETTING INTO AN ACCIDENT OR CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. UPON FURTHER RESEARCH I SEE TRANSMISSION ISSUES ARE VERY COMMON FOR THIS MAKE AND MODEL CAR THROUGH THE PRODUCTION YEARS OF 04-07. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I CAN SEE IT LEADING UP TO AND INCLUDING DEATH DUE TO AN ACCIDENT. THE DEALER I PURCHASED THE CAR FROM REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY, BUT I AM AGAIN HAVING ISSUES WITH MY TRANSMISSIONS SHOWING SIGNS OF FAILURE AGAIN. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN AUGUST 09. I CURRENTLY HAVE 64,000 MILES AND HAD THE VEHICLE LESS THAN 2YRS. AND NOW THE TRANSMISSION HAS GONE UP. ALSO TO MAKE MATTERS WORST MY EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 57,000 MILES AND THE EXPIRATION DATE IS AUGUST 2012. CARMAX OR THE WARRANTY COMPANY WILL NOT HONOR THE POLICY, STATING THAT THE MILEAGE CAME FIRST. HOWEVER; MY EXPERIENCE WITH TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS STARTED OVER THE MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 2011. AS MY FAMILY & I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM SOUTH CAROLINA MY AIR CONDITION WENT OUT AFTER A VERY LOUD THRUSTING MOTION ACCOMPANIED BY A HARD JERK. AFTER RETURNING HOME THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHO DIAGNOSED THE SYMPTOMS AND NOT THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. (CODE #P0780) INDICATED THAT THERE WERE SEVERAL THINGS THAT WOULD CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. THE FIRST IS GEAR SECTION - SHIFT MALFUNCTION AND THE SECOND BEING WIRING TR SENSOR, SHIFT SOLENOIDS AND LAST BUT NOT LEASE TRANSMISSION MECHANICAL FAULT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT HAVE NOT YET RESPONDED. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY AND OVER TIME HAD BECOME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIANS STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE GAGES ON MY INSTRUMENT PANEL BEGAN TO READ ERRATIC. SPEEDOMETER, FUEL AND TACHOMETER DRIFTED BETWEEN ZERO AND THIER MAXIMUMS. THE INSTRUMENT PANEL BACKGROUND LIGHTING ALSO BEGAN TO FLICKER. THE VEHICLE MADE IT HOME. AT HOME THE DASH WAS TAPPED A FEW TIMES TO SEE IF IT WAS A LOOSE CONNECTION. UPON DOING THIS, SOME OF THE GAGES BEGAN TO READ NORMAL, WHILE OTHERS BEGAN TO READ ERRATIC. THE VEHICLE WOULD START AND ALL THE MAJOR SYSTEMS APPEARED TO OPERATE NORMAL; OTHER THAN THE GAGES AND BACKGROUND LIGHTING, WHICH WERE STILL UNRELIABLE. THE NEXT DAY, 5/26/11, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN INTO A PARKING LOT THE GAGES AND LIGHTING STARTED ACTING ERRATIC, EXCEPT THIS TIME SMOKE APPEARED FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE STA.TUS DISPLAY SCREEN (THE SCREEN IN THE CENTER OF THE DASH BOARD USED TO GIVE INFORMATION ON TIME, MAINT, TEMPERATURE). THE ENGINE WAS SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. THE PROBLEM WAS FOUND AND FIXED BY A DEALER. THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY A COIN THAT HAD FALLEN INTO A GAP THAT WAS FORMED BY DESIGN OR MISALINEMENT OF THE DISPLAY SCREEN AND THE SHELF AT THE BASE OF THE SCREEN. THE SCREEN IS RECESSED 3.125 INCHES AND DECLINED AT AN ANGLE OF APPROX 18 DEG. THIS ALLOWS ANY SMALL OBJECTS TO MIGRATE TO THE DISPLAY SCREEN GAP. THE GAP MEASURES .114 INCHES ACROSS THE BASE OF THE DISPLAY. THE COIN (A DIME) CONTINUED DOWNWARD UNTIL IT CAME IN CONTACT WITH AN ENCLOSED PRINTED CIRCUIT (PC). THE PLASTIC ENCLOSURE HAS A SMALL SLOT(.3125 X .78125) ON TOP WHICH ALLOWED THE COIN TO DROP IN AND SHORT OUT THE PC. THE REPLACEMENT PART DOESN'T HAVE THE SLOT. TWO SMALL HOLES BURNT THROUGH THE PLASTIC ENCLOSURE. P/N OF PC IS 277607Y00A/UPR/5804. WILL FURNISH PHOTOS UPON REQUEST.

I THEN WENT ONLINE AND SAW THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE SAME ISSUE AND ALL OF THE CARS, WERE BETWEEN 2005 -2008 AND MILEAGE RANGED FROM 78000 TO 95000. WITH ALL OF THESE COMPLAINTS THAT ARE ONLINE OF THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR, I AM SURPRISED THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR THIS PARTICULAR CAR'S PROBLEMS. IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THERE ARE SOME MAJOR DEFECTS WITH THIS PARTICULAR TRANSMISSION. THIS IS NOT GOOD. IT WOULD APPEAR THAT NISSAN TRIED TO DEVELOP A TRANMISSION THAT COULD THINK FOR YOU. IT IS CURRENTLY BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP AWAITING TESTING. PLEASE RECALL THOSE TRANSMISSIONS NOW BEFORE THESE UNITS GET TOO OLD.
