Yes the tire sensor light is on and the suspension has gone out and I have been advised that it needs struts and sway bar links and that I can not drive it or it will cause a wreck/collision.. Nissan has a recall on Nissan maximas for suspension but said my model is not included and what is recalled on other maximas is exactly what’s wrong with mine! My car sounds like it’s about to fall apart.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the front wheels. The stabili-trak and ABS warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, the tire pressure warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed passenger’s side CV axle, cracked struts on the front driver's side and front passenger's side. In addition, the axle on the front driver's side would need to be replaced soon. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 260,000.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle decelerated while the accelerator pedal was depressed. The contact then stated that the RPM’s failed to increase. Additionally, the contact stated that while shifted into reverse, he heard a whining sound then the vehicle half shifted. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained at the dealer and had not yet been repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the Extended Warranty had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 157,000.
Things keep getting into my air filter/ air filter box and airflow sensor such as leaves, sunflower seeds, cigarette butts, sticks. This has happened multiple times. Drive my car daily
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the air bag sensor light illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by the dealer and the mechanic retrieved DTC: B10180CS (Passenger Side Air Bags sensor). The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 6,247.
While driving to work car stalled going 20MPH, no power brakes, no power steering, coasted to safe side of road. Waited ten minutes car pressed start car restarted. Five days later, going to store, driving 35 mph, car stalled while running, no power steering, no power brakes, coasted to safe side of road. Waited ten minutes car restarted. This is an on going safety problem. My father in law had this same vehicle and he was afraid to drive it because of the same issues.
Car shuts down while driving. Hard to get back started. It runs for 30 min and when you apply gas the car shuts down. Seems like this is an issue on several year models. Try replacing fuel pump and that didn’t happen. Has a new battery and there is still and issue

The vehicle crashed into the side of the building in front and through the wall of the building causing the front end to be inside of the vehicle. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle had been towed. The decision to total the vehicle had not been finalized as of yet. The contact received injuries to their back and medical assistance was needed. The dealer was not made aware. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 149,000.
Passenger side strut insulator is cracked
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated that while driving at 60 MPH, the steering wheel began to violently shake without warning as his vehicle also began to wobble uncontrollably. The contact stated that the wobbling came to a stop once he released his foot off the accelerator pedal. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed with a cracked strut insulator. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 09V358000 (Suspension) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 148,000.
Motor mount is cracked causing engine to shudder
CVT torque converter codes p0774 leading to total transmission replacement.
I bought this vehicle used and with the dash being defective from the heat and humidity, it puts off a glare on the windshield which makes it extremely difficult to see through.
Dash becomes very sticky from sun and heat shining on it and produces a glare that causes blind spots and makes difficult to see out front window. Can't see what is out there depending on direction sun hits dash. If sun is coming from straight ahead makes a glare that is very difficult to see anything in front of you. Makes it difficult to see traffic lights or pedestrians which could cause dangerous harm to pedestrians, other drivers, or myself and passengers. Went to local Nissan dealer and was told the only fix would be to replace dashboard at my expense even though it is a common problem because there are no recalls on this issue. I purchased the vehicle used from another owner and was not aware of the problem and just thought it was something sticky that could be wiped off but found out it is a known problem when I went to dealer with issue.
MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKING ASSEMBLY WENT OUT AND I'M NOT ABLE TO CRANK MY CAR. APPARENTLY MY 2010 WASN'T AVAILABLE IN THE RECALL OR CAMPAIGN . IT QUIT WORKING IN MY DRIVEWAY
MY POWER STEERING PUMP HAS A SLOW LEAK IN IT.

FOR WHILE THE CAR WOULD VIBRATE WHEN HITTING EVEN THE SLIDE IS BUMP CAUSING INSTABILITY IN NOT ONLY STEERING NOISES CLICKING BUT ONCE WE SAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY FOR THE FIX FINALLY FINDING OUT IT WAS THE INSULATOR FOR THE STRUT THIS PART OF THE SAME RECALL WHICH STATED THIS INSULATOR WAS A DIFFERENT MANUFACTURER THEREFORE NOT APPLICABLE TO THIS RECALL
MY DASHBOARD IS MELTING CAUSING A GLARE FROM THE WINDSHIELD! WHEN I CALLED NISSAN, I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TO PAY OUT OF POCKET. HOWEVER THIS A DEFECTIVE PART FROM THEIR MANUFACTOR THATS CAUSING THE DRIVER TO NOT SEE!
MY CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE DASHBOARD THAT MELT AND BECOME SHINY, STICKY, AND REFLECTIVE WHEN EXPOSED TO SUNLIGHT. SOFT, STICKY MESS! SHINY DASHBOARDS CAUSING DISTRACTING AND GLARING REFLECTIONS OFF THE WINDSHIELD. AS SOON IT WILL BE HOT AGAIN, I WILL AGAIN BE AFRAID TO DRIVE A CAR DUE TO THE WINDSHIELD GLARE FROM THE SHINY MELTED DASHBOARD. I HAVE NO PHOTOS OF THE SHINY PANEL, BECAUSE IT WAS LAST SUMMER, WHEN I WAS TAKING CARE OF A DYING HUSBAND, WHO PASSED AWAY LAST SEPTEMBER. I DID NOT HAVE TIME TO TAKE PHOTOS OF THE CAR AND THINK ABOUT IT. BUT THE PANEL IS STILL STICKY. IN ADDITION TO THIS PROBLEM, THE DASHBOARD HAS A MANY CRACKS, PHOTOS THAT I CAN SHOW. SUCH A WELL-KNOWN MANUFACTURER USED THE WRONG MATERIAL FOR THE DASHBOARD. THIS IS NOT MY FAULT, SO I DO NOT HAVE TO PAY A LOT OF MONEY FOR REPLACING THE DASHBOARD. I DON'T HAVE MONEY FOR THIS, SINCE I ONLY GET SOCIAL SECURITY CHECK. IN ADDITION, WE RETIRED AT THE BEGINNING OF 2015 AND MY CAR IS MOST OF THE TIME IN THE GARAGE. I AM THE ONLY ONE USING THIS CAR. THE MILEAGE OF THE CAR IS 51152 ML.
MY TRANSMISSION BEGAN MAKING A WINNING NOISE, THEN IT GOT LOUDER AND LOUDER. NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS DONE. THERE HAVE BEEN LOTS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE MAKE AND MODEL VEHICLE. I GAVE A CVT TRANSMISSION. ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH STRUTS.HAD NOISE SINCE 2019.
WHILE DRIVING ON ROUTE 24 IN BROCKTON, MA ON 2/16/2020 AT APPROXIMATELY 1AM, THE HOOD OF MY CAR FLEW OFF AND COMPLETELY SEPARATED FROM MY CAR. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TO CONFIRM WHETHER ANOTHER DRIVER WAS NOT BEHIND ME AND TO LOOK AT MY CAR. THE LATCH OF THE HOOD WAS STILL IN PLACE AS WELL AS THE SPRINGS. MY DASH BOARD DID NOT INDICATE MY HOOD WAS OPEN. THIS ALL OCCURED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING TOWARDS MY EXIT AT APPROXIMATELY 50-60 MPH.
UNABLE TO PUSH START CAR IGNITION. A KEY SIGNAL SHOWS ON DASH AND CAR WILL NOT START AFTER SHUTTING DOWN ENGINE. THE KEY IS IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. MY DAUGHTER HAS BEEN STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES BECAUSE SHE CAN'T GET PUSH START IGNITION TO START. I HAVE READ THAT OTHER OWNERS OF THIS MAKE AND MORE HAVE HAD SAME ISSUE.
UNSTABLE AND WOBBLING WHEN MOVING, ESPECIALLY GO THROUGH ROUGH SURFACE. SOMETIMES, WHEN HIT BRAKE, I FEEL LIKE A LITTLE SLIDE OF THE WHEEL
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STRUT INSULATOR WAS FRACTURED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FRACTURE CAUSED A POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK. ADDITIONALLY, THE SET OF TIRES WERE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE MOTOR MOUNTS DUE TO THE FAILURE. THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REFERENCED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V358000 (SUSPENSION). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOWN NORTH NISSAN (9160 RESEARCH BLVD, AUSTIN, TX 78758) HOWEVER, THE DEALER PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
I WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AFTER RETURNING TO MY PARKED CAR DURING A LATE NIGHT DRIVE TO VISIT A FRIEND. WHEN I TRIED THE PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE FROM PAST LOCK. I NOTICED A NEW LIGHT INDICATOR FOR MY "INTELLIGENT KEY" I HAD NOT SEEN BEFORE. AFTER A QUICK GOOGLE, I FOUND THAT THESE SYMPTOMS WERE LINKED TO A ELECTRONIC STEERING CONTROL LOCK DEFECT THAT HAD BEEN KNOW FOR YEARS. AFTER CONTACTING NISSAN I WAS TOLD THAT ARE INDEED HAVE A SERVICE CAMPAIGN FOR THE 2010 NISSAN MAXIMA HOWEVER FOR I AM FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEFECT AS MY VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN "SERVICE CAMPAIGN". BECAUSE OF THIS DEFECT I WAS STRANDED MILES FROM HOME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND FORCED TO PAY OVER 800$ OUT OF POCKET IN EMERGENCY REPAIRS TO REPLACE A PART THAT MAY VERY WELL FAIL AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

REAR CRADLE BAR THAT HOLDS SUSPENSION IS RUSTED WITH HOLES ON BOTH SIDES NEAR THE REAR TIRES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN MAXIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START BECAUSE THE STEERING COLUMN WOULD LOCK UP. ALSO, THE KEY INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE CONTACT HAD TO TAKE OFF THE PANELING AND TAP THE STEERING COLUMN BOX TO GET THE STEERING COLUMN TO UNLOCK FOR THE VEHICLE TO START. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE STEERING COLUMN WAS REPLACED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND THE DEALER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 173,247. *DT*JB
I'VE HAD MY CAR FOR A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AND ONLY ONE OWNER BEFORE ME, IT HAS BEEN MAINTAINED WELL. MY CAR HAS BEEN MAKING A NOISE FOR MONTHS NOW SO I FINALLY TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP (ON AUGUST 3, 2019) AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG. NOT EVEN A WEEK LATER IT BROKE DOWN ALMOST 2 HOURS FROM MY HOUSE. OTHER THAN THE KNOCKING NOISE (WHICH INCLUDING A POPPING NOISE), UNEVEN TIRE WEAR (HAD A BLOW OUT ON 65 3 HOURS FROM HOME), IT STARTED NOT ACCELERATING WHEN I WAS AT A STOP SIGN OR LIGHT. IT STILL RUNS, BUT I'VE SPENT OVER $500 WITHIN A MONTHS TIME TRYING TO RECEIVE ANSWERS AND HAVEN'T YET. I SEE RECALLS FOR OTHER YEARS AS IN THE SUSPENSION/STRUT INSULATOR CRACKING. ALSO, I'VE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT TRANSMISSIONS SLIPPING AND NISSAN NOT WANTING TO FIX THEM. I AM NOW EXPECTING MY FIRST CHILD AND HAVE NO FORM OF TRANSPORTATION DUE TO NISSAN AND THEIR DEALERSHIPS NOT KNOWING BASIC CAR KNOWLEDGE NOR WANTING THEIR CUSTOMERS SAFE AND SATISFIED.
CAR TOTALLY SLOWED TO 25MPH ON HIGHWAY WHILE TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO COLLEGE ORIENTATION. COULD'VE KILLED MY WHOLE FAMILY OR SOMEONE ELSE. CVT TRANSMISSIONS IS A FAILURE. ALL CONTACTED TRANSMISSION PLACES AND IMPORT CAR REPAIR SAY ITS VERY PROBLEMATIC AND A WASTE. THOUGHT NISSAN EXTENDED FACTORY WARRANTY TO 10 YR 120000 MILES. I HAVE A 2010. LUCKILY IT WAS EARLY MORNING AND TRAFFIC WAS NOT AS HEAVY.
THE SHOCK INSULATORS ARE FALLING APART AND CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BECOME HARD TO HANDLE AS WELL AS CAUSING A METAL TO METAL SOUND WHEN DRIVING. VEHICLE HAS VECOME EXTREMELY HARD TO CONTROL DRIVING HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I HAD TO GAVE VEGICLE TOWED HOME BECAUSE MY WIFE WAS SCARED THE VEHICLE WAS GOING TONLOSE CONTROL ON HIGHWAY. IT WENT FROM SLIGHTLY NOTICABLE TO PRETTY MUCH DANGEROUS TO DRIVE OVERNIGHT. THIS VEHICLE BARELY GAS 100000 MILES ON IT AND THE WAY THE RUBBER INSULATOR HAS DETERIORATED IS WORSE THAN ANY 20 YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH 200000 MILES. THE INSULATOR IS LISTED AS A RECALL HOWEVER IT DOES NOT SHOWS MY VIN NUMBER AS HAVING NO UNREPAIRED RECALLS. CARFAX DOES NOT SHOW THIS REPAUR HAS BEEN DONE. DUE TO THIS BEING A RECALL IT WOULD BE LISTED ON CAR FAX AS A REPAIR.
I'VE NOTICED NOT JUST IN MINE BUT ON OTHER 2009-2011 NISSAN MAXIMAS UNDERCARRIAGE ISSUES. I'VE ASKED A BODY SHOP FOR AN ESTIMATE AND THEY SAID THEY'VE DONE QUITE A FEW OF THOSE AND IT DOESN'T RESEMBLE NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Maxima. The contact stated while attempting to open their front driver side door, but it would not open all the way locking in a place where there is a small space from the door and frame. The contact had to force and push the door back closed and attempt to reopen the door, but it would not open at all. The contact had to enter the vehicle from the front passenger side door. The failure was intermittent. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer who diagnosed the failure latch assembly was disconnected and repaired the latch assembly, however, the failure occurred again. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY ON THE INTERSTATE TRAVELING BACK HOME I HEARD A LOUD POP AND MY SUNROOF EXPLODED ME AND MY FAMILY ALMOST HAD A ACCIDENT BUT I WAS THE ONE THAT HAD GOTTEN CUT UP AND ALMOST LOST CONTROL I ALWAYS USE MY SUNROOF AND I'M AFRAID YO EVEN REPLACE IT WHAT IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN WHAT IF WE DIE? MY CAR IS 8 YEARS OLD AND I ALSO HAVE MY VISOR OPEN I GOT LOST OF CUTS AND BLEED THANKFULLY WE ARE ALIVE!!!
EVAP RECALL; SEVERE RUST; POWER STEERING IS WEAKENING; MOTOR HAS EXTREMELY LOUD START; NOT SAFE TO DRIVE MORE THAN 2 MILES - STOPPED DRIVING TODAY AFTER THE CAR'S BRAKES AND ROTORS WERE CHANGED DUE TO HORRIBLE RUST ISSUE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN MAXIMA. WHILE DRIVING OVER A BUMP IN THE ROAD, A POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FRONT STRUTS WERE FAULTY AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER (DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE NISSAN, 25 VANTAGE WAY, NASHVILLE TN) WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V358000 (SUSPENSION). THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 150,000.
STRUT INSULATOR ON PASENGER SIDE WAS CRACKED. I HAD IT REPLACED WITH NEW STRUT AND INSULATOR AND WAS IFORMED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. EVERYTIME THE VECHICLE WAS DRIVEN HITTING ANY SLIGH DIP IN THE ROAD OR BUMP WOULD CAUSE THE STRUT TO SOUND AS IT THE WHEEL WAS ABOU TO FALL OFF THE CAR. I ORDER A NEW STRUT AND MOUNT AUG 2018 AND HAD IT REPLACED .
SUNROOF EXPLODED AND SHATTERED ON HIGHWAY.
THE FUEL GAUGE IS MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN FILLING THE VEHICLE, THE NEEDLE GOES BEYOND THE F MARK OR DROPS TO THE E MARK TRIGGERING THE LOW FUEL LIGHT TO COME ON. ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH, THIS WAS FOUND TO BE A RECALL IN THE QUEST HOWEVER MANY OTHER OWNERS OF OTHER NISSAN MODELS ARE REPORTING THE SAME ISSUES. AN INVESTIGATION REALLY NEEDS TO BE LAUNCHED.

DRIVERS SIDE HEATED SEAT CAUSED SECOND - THIRD DEGREE BURN ON THIGH ON 1/3/18. I FELT A TINGLING SENSATION WHILE DRIVING SO I TURNED THE HEATED SEAT OFF. THE SEAT HEATER WAS ON LOW WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ONCE HOME AND UPON INSPECTION OF MY SKIN I NOTICED THE BUR ON THE BACK OF MY RIGHT THIGH.
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
MY 2010 NISSSAN MAXIMA HAS 54,900 MILES. IN DECEMBER 2017 I NOTICED A RATTLE IN THE CAR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN EVER GOING OVER BUMPS OR ROUGH ROAD. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS DUE FOR A TIRE ROTATION I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO MY TIRE SHOP WHERE THEY DISCOVERED THAT BOTH SUSPENSION SPRINGS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WERE BROKEN. BOTH BREAKS OCCURRED AT THE BOTTOM PORTION OF THE SPRING. THE BROKEN PARTS LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL. FORTUNATELY THEY CAUSED NO FURTHER DAMAGE ALTHOUGH DAMAGE TO THE TIRES OR SUSPENSION COULD HAVE OCCURRED WITH RESULTING LOSS OF CONTROL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE LOCAL DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE THEY ADVISED THAT THIS TYPE OF FAILURE IS TYPICAL AND THERE IS NO RECALL OR REIMBURSEMENT FOR THIS COMPONENT FAILURE. HAVING OWNED DIFFERENT VEHICLES OF ALL TYPES OVER THE LAST 40 YEARS I HAVE NEVER HAD SUSPENSION SPRING FAILURE WITH ANY VEHICLE EVEN THOUGH THEY WOULD HAVE HAD HIGHER MILEAGE THAN THIS 2010 NISSAN. IT IS SURPRISING THAT NISSAN DOES NOT ADMIT TO A SPRING PROBLEM WHEN YOU CONSIDER THAT THEY HAVE RECALLED HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES FOR SUSPENSION SPRING EARLIER FAILURES. I BELIEVE THIS TYPE OF FAILURE SHOULD BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED WITH THE MANUFACTURER BEFORE SOMEONE SUFFERS AN INJURY DUE TO EARLY FAILURE OF A KEY SUSPENSION COMPONENT.
INSTRUMENT DASHBOARD ON TOP IS MELTING/STICKY ALL OVER CAUSING THE MATERIAL TO BECOME VERY SHINY THEREFORE CREATING A SAFETY ISSUE. THE GLARE DURING SUNNY DAY IN SOUTH FLORIDA IS CAUSING A SAFETY ISSUE AS I CAN'T SEE PEDESTRIANS OR CERTAIN VEHICLES WHEN THE SUN HITS THE DASHBOARD. THE CENTER CONSOLE AROUND THE RADIO IS CRACKING AND SEPARATING NEAR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG CREATING A SAFETY CONCERN. VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED USED IN 2012/2013 AND THIS STARTED TO OCCUR SEPTEMBER 2017.

SUNROOF EXPLODED WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.
I WAS AT HOME ASLEEP WHEN A TEXT CAME THROUGH ON MY PHONE. IT WAS A TEXT FROM MY HOME ALARM LETTING ME KNOW THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH THE GARAGE. WHEN I WENT TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON, THERE WERE BLACK STAINS ON THE WALLS BY THE GARAGE ENTRY DOOR. WHEN I REALIZED WHAT WAS GOING ON,I CALLED 911. I RAN OUT OF THE HOUSE LEAVING MY CAR KEYS AND PURSE ON THE BAR. WHEN I RAN TO THE ALLEY, MY NEIGHBOR AND A POLICE OFFICER TRIED TO PUT THE FIRE OUT THAT CAME OUTSIDE OF THE GARAGE DOOR(GARAGE DOOR WAS STILL CLOSED). WHEN THE FIREFIGHTERS PULLED THE GARAGE DOOR OFF, THE CAR WAS RUNNING WITH THE LIGHTS ON. ONCE THE FIRE WAS COMPLETELY OUT, THE FIREFIGHTERS LOCATED MY CAR KEYS AND PURSE WHERE I LEFT THEM. THE CAR WAS STILL LOCKED BECAUSE I ALWAYS SET THE ALARM WHEN I GET OUT OF IT AND I DID NOT HAVE A REMOTE START. SO HOW DID THE CAR START BY ITSELF AND THE KEYS WERE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE?I LOST MY HOUSE AND CAR IN THE FIRE. HAD CAR SERVICED AT CLAY COOLEY NISSAN IN IRVING, TX APRIL 25,2017 FOR BATTERY DYING,BRAKE LIGHT WAS ON,VDC LIGHT WAS ON, BRAKES WERE MAKING A NOISE, AND WHEN ON BRAKES VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. TOTALLY CONFUSED AT THIS POINT NOT KNOWING WHAT HAPPENED.
