THE DRIVER SIDE SUN VISOR FALLS DOWN DURING DRIVING. THERE ARE TONS OF COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN DRIVERS WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE SAME AND DIFFERENT YEAR MODEL. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF NISSAN TO RECALL AND FIX. I HAVE NEARLY CRASHED DOZENS OF TIMES WHILE DRIVING BECAUSE THE VISOR FALLS DOWN AND BLOCKS MY VIEW. *TR
THIS PAST WEEK I HAD TWO TRANSMISSION RUBBER LINES BREAK. ONE ON A TRIP UPSTATE NEAR THE DELAWARE WATER GAP. I WAS ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM BY INSTALLING A NEW RUBBER LINE. THE OLD HOSE JUST BROKE OFF IN MY HANDS. WE DROVE HOME FINE. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT, THE OTHER HOSE BROKE OFF. THE CAR IS NOW GOING BE TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. TRANSMISSION FLUID IS FLAMMABLE. THIS IS NOT SAFE. THE CAR IS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD AND THE RUBBER LINES SHOULD NOT BREAK OFF LIKE THEY DID. *TR
DRIVERS SEAT WAS MAKING A SQUEAKING NOISE AND FINALLY BROKE, SENDING THE SEAT DOWN TO THE FLOOR, JOLTING THE DRIVER. IT WAS REPAIRED BY THE DEALER, BUT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. *TR
BROKEN DRIVERS SEAT. SEAT IS VERY LOOSE AND FEELS LIKE IT WILL DETACH AT ANY MOMENT. LEANS SEVERELY TO THE LEFT. *TR
I PURCHASED A USED 2006 NISSAN MURANO IN MARCH OF THIS YEAR. YESTERDAY I WAS GETTING INTO MY CAR TO GO HOME FROM WORK AND WAS PLACING MY LAPTOP COMPUTER BAG IN THE BACKSEAT AND RESTED MY HAND ON THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE SEAT WAS NOTICEABLY UNSTABLE AND UNSECURED. I INVESTIGATED UNDER THE SEAT TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT IT HAD BECOME DETACHED FROM THE TRACK, IT HAD NOT, THE POWER SEAT STILL MOVES BACK AND FORTH. I DROVE IT HOME WITH MY SEAT UNLEVEL AND MY HUSBAND TOOK A LOOK AND DISCOVERED THE THIN METAL SUPPORT ROD HAD BROKE AT THE CONNECTION POINT. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME ON A CAR EVER. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT A MORE EXPENSIVE CAR WOULD MISS A STEP SO CRITICAL TO COMFORT. *TR
2006 NISSAN MURANO DRIVER SIDE SEAT BACK CROSS BRACE BROKE, CAR ONLY HAS 46,800 MILES
DRIVERS SEAT FRAME SNAPPED IN HALF. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS SO THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE ACTUAL FRAME TO HAVE BROKEN. IT IS VERY LOOSE AND WOBBLY AND THEREFORE VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. IT WOULD NOT HOLD UP IN THE CASE OF AN ACCIDENT. THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BREAK WITH NO REASON AS IT IS THE STRUCTURE OF THE VEHICLE. THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT OR CAUSE EXCESSIVE INJURY AS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT. *TR

MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO FELT AS THOUGH THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS LEANING TO THE LEFT. THEN IT BECAME OBVIOUSLY LOOSE/WOBBLY, SO MUCH SO THAT IT FEELS AS THOUGH THE SEAT WILL FALL OVER GOING AROUND A TURN. I HAD IT CHECKED AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS A MECHANISM THAT HAD BROKE UNDER THE SEAT, THAT THE WHOLE THING WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED AND COULD COST AS MUCH AS $1,200! IT DOESN'T SEEM SAFE, YET I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY, AND NOW SEEING THAT THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE W/ MURANO'S-CERTAINLY NISSAN WOULD HAVE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY AND DO A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS INJURED BECAUSE OF THIS. I FIND DRIVING IT MYSELF IS GETTING MORE DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF HOW WOBBLY THE SEAT IS-BUT I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT. WHEN THE SEAT LEANS, THE STEERING WHEEL GETS PULLED TOO. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE MADE AN UNFAMILIAR NOISE. EVERYTIME THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED, IT FELT AS IF THE REAR OF IT WAS BEING STRUCK. THE STEERING WHEEL BECOMES DIFFICULT TO TURN WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONTINUES TO MOVE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. A MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION TRANSFER CASE FAILED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 49,500.
2006 NISSAN MURANO DRIVER'S POWER SEAT FRAME BROKEN. SEAT TILTS TO THE LEFT AND NOT SECURELY FASTENED TO FLOOR. SAFETY CONCERN AS FRAME SNAPPED AND BROKE WHILE I WAS DRIVING. SAFETY CONCERN IF I WERE TO BE IN AN ACCIDENT . THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN BUT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT THE PART NEEDED TO FIX SEAT. CALLED LOCAL DEALER AND THEY ARE UNAWARE OF ANY ISSUES. I HAVE RESEARCHED THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS FOR THE MODELS IN 2003---2007. I THINK THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL DUE TO SAFETY ISSUES. * JS

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 DOREL CHILD SEAT, MODEL 22-209 ABR (NA). THE SEAT WAS MANUFACTURED ON APRIL 16, 2006. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ALL THE CONNECTIONS ON THE SEAT WERE CORRODED. THE STRAPS WERE BECOMING UNGLUED AND UNSTABLE, WHICH WAS A POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD. SHE ONLY HAD THE SEAT FOR ONE YEAR AND IT WAS ONLY USED APPROXIMATELY A DOZEN TIMES; THEREFORE, IT SHOULD NOT BE WORN. THE CONTACT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL IN HER ATTEMPT TO SPEAK WITH A DOREL REPRESENTATIVE. THE PURCHASE DATE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ROLL WHILE PARKED ON A SMALL SLOPE IN THE DRIVEWAY. AS A RESULT, THE FRONT LEFT WHEEL OF THE VEHICLE ROLLED OVER THE CONTACTS RIGHT LEG. AS RESULT, HE SUSTAINED A CRUSHED RIGHT LOWER EXTREMITY. OUR 2006 NISSAN MURANO THAT HAS ABOUT 40,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS A BROKEN DRIVERS SEAT. APPARENTLY THE WELDS OF THE SEAT HAVE BROKEN. WE HAD PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT WHILE THE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WOULD HAVE COVERED THIS SAFETY DEFECT, THE EXTENDED WARRANTY DOES NOT. *TR

OUR VEHICLE IS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. ON FEBRUARY 10, 2008 WE NOTICED THE DRIVERS SEAT WAS BROKEN (IT WAS ROCKING BACK AND FORTH). WE BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO DECORMIER NISSAN IN MANCHESTER, CT WHO REPLACED THE SEAT. THE SEATS WELDED STEEL FRAME WAS BROKEN. WE WERE TOLD THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED BY THE SECURITY PLUS EXTENDED WARRANTY BUT THAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE 3 YEAR 36,000 MILE ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER WARRANTY. IT COST US $1,069.62. THE VEHICLE HAD 40,040 MILES ON IT WHEN WE BROUGHT IT IN FOR THIS REPAIR. *TR
THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN VISOR WON'T STAY UP ON ITS OWN AND IT IS A DRIVING HAZARD AND THE PASS. SIDE IS STARTING TO FALL DOWN TOO. *TR
I OWN A 2006 NISSAN MURANO THAT HAS A DEFECTIVE PART IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR CAUSING IT TO FALL IN THE DRIVER'S FACE. THE ONLY WAY TO FIX IS TO USE VELCRO OR HOLD UP WITH ONE HAND WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS DANGEROUS AS THE VELCRO IS ONLY A TEMPORARY FIX AS IT IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH TO HOLD UP THE HEAVY VISOR AND CONTINUALLY FALLS IN THE FACE OF THE DRIVER. THE VISOR MALFUNCTION STARTED HAPPENING AROUND 50K MILES AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER NISSAN'S WARRANTY. THE VISOR CAN BE REPLACED, BUT AT A COST OF NEAR $500. I FEEL THAT THIS DEFECT IN THE VISOR SHOULD BE COVERED BY NISSAN AS IT IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHILE DRIVING. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM AS I HAVE READ SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ON NISSAN AUTO FORUMS. *TR
THE SUN VISORS ON MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO, BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE, FAIL TO STAY IN PLACE. THEY CONTINUALLY FALL DOWN AND ARE IN THE LINE OF VISION OF THE DRIVER. THIS IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE DRIVER IS MOMENTARILY BLINDED AT THE LEAST. IT ALSO CAUSES THE DRIVER TO JUMP AND MAY HAVE AN END RESULT OF A JERKED WHEEL. WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO FIX THIS ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, BUT THE $400 ESTIMATE FOR EACH SHADE SEEMS FAR TOO STEEP TO PAY, ESPECIALLY WHEN I SEE THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM FOR NISSAN MURANOS OF ALL YEARS. *TR
LEFT AND RIGHT SUN VISORS ON 2006 NISSAN MURANO BECAME FLOPPY/DROOPY (I.E. WOULD NOT STAY IN POSITION) IN 2008. VERY DANGEROUS AS THEY DROOP DOWN INTO THE EYE'S OF DRIVER OR PASSENGER AND WON'T HOLD POSITION WHEN NEEDED TO BLOCK OUT SUN. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A SENSOR WITHIN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS COMMON. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 49,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. WHEN THE LEFT AND RIGHT REAR SHOULDER SEAT BELTS WERE PULLED TO RESTRAIN AN OCCUPANT, THE SEAT BELT BECAME STUCK IN THE WEBBING. THE SEAT BELT WAS THEN CUT IN HALF. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V048000 (SEAT BELTS:REAR). THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 14,146.
THE VEHICLE'S CURRENT PROBLEM IS THAT THE ALTERNATOR IS MALFUNCTIONED, AND DEFECTED WHICH CAUSES THE ENGINE AND BATTERY TO SHUT OFF AND DIE. THIS ALREADY OCCURRED MORE THAN 3 TIMES. IN ADDITION, THE OIL TANK PIPE LEAKS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE WHEN THE DEFECTED ALTERNATOR FAILS, THEN IT CAUSES THE BATTERY AND ENGINE TO SHUT OFF AND DIE. IF A PERSON IS DRIVING A DEFECTED VEHICLE THAT HAS A DEFECTED AND MALFUNCTIONED ALTERNATOR THAT CAUSES THE ENGINE TO SHUTOFF AND DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF A HIGHWAY OR STREET THEN A HUGE ACCIDENT CAN OCCUR AND IT WILL CAUSE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS TO DIE OR EVEN GET SEVERELY OR PERMANENTLY INJURED. THIS VEHICLE DEFINITELY HAS A RECALL, MALFUNCTIONED, AND DEFECTED ALTERNATOR. I BOUGHT MY VEHICLE THAT IS UNDER WARRANTY TO THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPT BUT THEY NEVER ADMIT THAT IT IS THE DEFECTED ALTERNATOR PROBLEM AND NEVER FIX IT. THEY JUST PROVIDE AND INSTALL A NEW BATTERY IN MY VEHICLE. BUT THAT DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM BECAUSE THE BATTERY POWER GETS DRAINED AND IT DIES AND SHUTS OFF THE ENGINE. THIS ALREADY HAPPENED TO ME OVER 3 TIMES AND NISSAN'S SERVICE DEPT NEVER RESOLVES THIS IMPORTANT PROBLEM. THIS URGENT PROBLEM NEEDS TO TAKEN CARED OF ASAP OR ELSE IT WILL BE DANGEROUS FOR DRIVER AND PASSENGER'S LIFE. *TR

PRIOR TO THE RECENT FAILURE, THE FUEL SYSTEM WAS REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 06V003000, FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE, STORAGE, TANK ASSEMBLY. THE CONTACT WAS UNAWARE IF THE RECALL REPAIRS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH THE CURRENT FAILURE. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 36,000.
FRONT HEADLAMP FAILED WHEN CAR WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD. TO REPLACE THE LAMP WAS $279.00. THE LEXUS, WHICH WAS JUST A NISSAN MURANO,HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH LAMPS BURNING OUT ,AND THEY WERE ALL REPLACED BY THE COMPANY UNDER A RECALL. NISSAN REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS PROBLEM, BUT MOST MECHANICS ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM. AS I CHECKED WITH 10 OF THEM IN MY AREA THEY ALL SAID THEY HAVE SEEN THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING. *AK
COMPLAINED TO NISSAN DEALER AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WRONG. COMPLAINED AT A LATER DATE AND WAS TOLD COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN MADE BUT NO RECALL AND IF I WANTED TO PAY FOR A COMPLETE GAS SYSTEM I COULD WHICH WOULD COST APPROX. $1000.00. WHEN I GET GAS I HAVE TO GET IT WHEN I AM GOING HOME SO I CAN SHOWER DUE TO GAS SPRAYING ON ME WHILE PUMPING GAS. ALMOST EVERY TIME I PUMP GAS IT STOPS LIKE IT IS FULL AND GAS SPEWS BACK. CONSTANTLY HAVE TO MOVE GAS HOSE AROUND AND THE GAS NOZZLE TO TRY TO GET GAS. I HAVE TO HAVE AN EXTRA SET OF CLOTHES IN MY CAR BECAUSE THE GAS SMELL MAKES ME SICK. ONE TIME I WAS SICK ALL DAY VOMITING BECAUSE OF THIS. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND SHOULD BE A RECALL.
TL* - THE CONTACT HAS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IN THE MIDST OF DRIVING THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD COMPLETELY STOP WORKING UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THIS WAS A DESIGN PROBLEM BECAUSE THE ICE WENT DOWN BELOW THE HOOD, AND IT STOPPED THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FROM WORKING. THE ICE PREVENTED THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS FROM GOING ALL THE WAY DOWN AND THEN COME BACK UP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS MUST BE ABLE TO GO ALL THE WAY DOWN IN ORDER FOR THEM TO WORK PROPERLY. SHE WOULD JUST LIKE TO HAVE IT FIXED, BECAUSE SHE DID NOT WANT TO BE AFRAID TO DRIVE IN A STORM. THE CONTACT WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT SHE SHOULD LIFT THE HOOD AND CLEAN THE AREA WHERE THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS WERE. THIS HAPPENED ONCE BEFORE IN ANOTHER STORM, AND SHE WAS ABLE TO GET THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS GOING AGAIN. EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED THE CONTACT WAS IN A BAD STORM. PROBLEM (CONTINUING TO) FILL-UP WITH FUEL WHEN USING GAS PUMPS WITH VAPOR RECOVERY: FOR THE MOST PART, THE PUMP TRIGGER SHOULD NOT BE OPENED TO MAXIMUM OTHERWISE WILL TRIGGER A SHUT-OFF; HOWEVER, IF A SLIGHT JERK BACK OF THE PUMP OCCURS, WILL TRIGGER A STOP AND CAN NO LONGER CONTINUE FILL-UP EVEN THOUGH THE TANK IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING TOPPED OFF. RESEARCHING THE WEB HAD REVEALED THAT THIS HAPPENS TO MANY LATER-MODEL VEHICLES. *NM
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKES WOULD SQUEAL WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN IN REVERSE OR WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE DEALER APPLIED NEW BRAKE PADS AND SHAVED THE BRAKES, HOWEVER, THE BRAKES CONTINUED TO SQUEAL. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 68,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. APPROX. 6 MONTHS AGO THE DRIVER'S SEAT WOULD START SQUEAKING WHENEVER I MADE ANY TURNS OR DROVE OVER BUMPS. IT SOUNDS LIKE PLASTIC GRINDING. ON 12/12/08, I SAT IN THE SEAT AND THE FRAME BROKE. THE DRIVER'S SEAT NOW ROCKS FROM SIDE TO SIDE WHENEVER YOU TURN. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS YOUR FEET WILL COME OFF THE GAS OR BREAK WHENEVER YOU TURN. I WENT ON THE WEB, AND THERE ARE SEVERAL PUBLIC FORUMS FROM MURANO OWNERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. NISSAN IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT WILL NOT TAKE ANY ANY ACTION. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER WILL ONLY REPLACE THE WHOLE SEAT FOR $1,200.00 AND NOT TRY TO FIX THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. IF THEY WANT YOU TO BUY A WHOLE NEW SEAT, WHAT IS TO PREVENT THIS FROM OCCURRING AGAIN? UNACCEPTABLE. NISSAN NEEDS TO RECALL THIS SEAT, BECAUSE IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
I HAVE A VERY HARD TIME PUMPING GAS INTO MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO S. AFTER A GALLON OR TWO THE FUEL PUMP HANDLE WILL KICK OFF AND STOP PUMPING. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE VENTING SYSTEM. I FIRST BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR THIS ISSUE IN 2006. I ENDED UP PICKING IT UP AND THEN TAKING IT RIGHT BACK BECAUSE I COULDN'T PUT GAS INTO IT AT THE STATION DOWN THE ROAD. IT WAS AGAIN SERVICED FOR THE SAME THING IN 2008 AND THEN AGAIN IN 2009. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY BACK IN THE SHOP FOR THE SAME COMPLAINT. I HAVE TO PUMP GAS INTO A PORTABLE GAS CAN AND THEN POUR IT INTO THE MURANO. *LN

EVIDENTLY A ROCK WAS ABLE TO PENETRATE MY CONDENSER DUE TO THE WIDE OPEN GAPS IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. MY A/C IS NO LONGER PROVIDING COLD AIR IN MY 2 MONTH OLD 2006 NISSAN MURANO. COST OF THE REPAIR $717.98 AND NO KNOWN PREVENTION OF THIS RECURRING MULTIPLE TIMES. PER THE LAKE NISSAN SALES MANAGER IS WELL AWARE OF THIS RECURRING PROBLEM. *JB
THE DEFECTIVE DESIGN OF THE DRIVER-SIDE VISOR IN OUR 2006 NISSAN MURANO RESULTS IN A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP - IT FALLS DOWN, BLOCKING THE DRIVER'S VIEW. DRIVERS ARE EITHER FORCED TO DRIVE WITH ONE HAND ON THE WHEEL WHILE TRYING TO HOLD THE VISOR UP WITH THE OTHER; OR DRIVING WITH A VERY RESTRICTED VIEW OF THE ROAD WITH THE VISOR HANGING DOWN. REPLACEMENT VISORS ARE NO BETTER - THEY FAIL WITHIN A FEW WEEKS OF BEING INSTALLED. ACCORDING TO WEBSITES WE HAVE VISITED, THE DESIGN DEFECT OF THE VISOR IS COMMON AMONG NISSAN MURANO MODELS OF MANY OTHER YEARS ALSO. *TR
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED AFTER THE REARVIEW MIRROR WAS CHECKED AT 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH A DUMP TRUCK AND WAS DRAGGED BY THE TRUCK. THE CONTACT HAD NO RECOLLECTION OF EVENTS AFTER CHECKING THE MIRROR. THE CONTACT HIT THE STEERING WHEEL, ALTHOUGH THE SEATBELT WAS WORN. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE CONTACT'S STERNUM FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALERSHIP AND A POLICE REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE DEALERSHIP DETERMINED THE AIRBAG SENSOR WAS NOT STRUCK AND THE AIRBAGS SHOULD NOT HAVE DEPLOYED.
ON 4 OCCASIONS MY NISSAN MURANO 06 AFTER STEPPING ON THE BRAKES, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ROLL. THIS HAPPENED ON A FLAT ROAD, THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS ~1300 MILES. I BELIEVE IT IS THE ABS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID NO TROUBLE CODE, THERE WAS NOTHING TO FIX. *JB
TAKEN TO DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR CONTINUOUS SMELL OF COOLANT COMING FROM VEHICLE WHEN MOTOR GETS HOT. DEALER CONTINUES TO CLAIM THAT NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT. RECENTLY TOOK A TRIP TO TENNESSEE AND THE COOLANT IN THE RESERVOIR WAS ALMOST GONE BY THE TIME I GOT BACK HOME. IF ANYONE ELSE IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM NISSAN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT IT. AT THIS TIME NOTHING HAS BEEN REPAIRED OR REPLACED AND WE STILL HAVE THE SMELL OF THE COOLANT COMING FROM OUR VEHICLE. *NM
MURANO IS STILL CONTINUING TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE COOLANT AND DEALER CAN NOT FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT SO THEY CAN NOT FIX IT. CONTACTED NISSAN AND THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE OR RE-PURCHASE MY VEHICLE. AT THIS TIME IT HAS BEEN SEEN BY THE DEALER 5 TIMES DOCUMENTED, 2 TIMES UNDOCUMENTED. I FEEL LIKE THIS FALLS INTO THE LEMON LAW, SO I WILL BE FILLING A LEMON LAW SUIT AGAINST NISSAN AT THIS TIME. I LIKE MY MURANO BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT WOULD ROCK BACK AND FORTH ABNORMALLY. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE SEAT HAD FRACTURED FROM THE FRAME AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE SEAT WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY OR RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VISOR ON THE DRIVER SIDE WAS ALSO FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,127 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
EVERY TIME I TOUCH THE BRAKE I HEAR A SQUEAKING SOUND. SOUNDS ALMOST LIKE A BIRD. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY OILED IT. THE SOUND WENT AWAY BUT IS NOW BACK AGAIN AFTER ONLY A FEW WEEKS. *JB
I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN MURANO SL. THE RECURRING PROBLEM I HAVE IS THAT WHEN FILLING UP WITH GAS, THE PUMP STOPS GENERALLY AFTER PUMPING ONLY 0.5 GALLONS TO 3 GALLONS. OFTEN, I CAN NOT FILL IT UP ANYMORE AT THAT PUMP. SOMETIMES, I CAN START TO FILL IT UP AT A SLOWER RATE AND CONTINUE TO GET THE REST OF THE GAS IN THE TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT 7 OR 8 DIFFERENT STATIONS IN TOWN, AT NUMEROUS PUMPS - SO IT IS NOT A CASE WHERE 1 PUMP AT A STATION IS PUMPING TOO FAST (AS WAS USED AS THE INITIAL EXCUSE). I HAVE READ IN FORUMS OF THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM, IN ADDITION SOMEONE AT MY DEALER HAS CONFIRMED THEY HAVE SEEN THIS BEFORE. YET MY MURANO IS CURRENTLY IN THE SHOP FOR THE 3RD TIME SINCE MAY 2006. THEY HAVE CLEANED THE ROLLOVER FLOAT AND ARE NOW REPLACING THE TANK ASSEMBLY. ONE MORE TIME QUALIFIES FOR THE LEMON LAW IN ILLINOIS. *NM

WHILE ON A THREE HOUR ROAD TRIP, MY 11 YEAR OLD SON WAS RIDING IN THE BACK SEAT (BEHIND) DRIVER OF MY RECENTLY PURCHASED 2006 NISSAN MURANO. HE WAS PLAYING WITH THE MIDDLE SEAT BELT WHICH RETRACTS FROM THE CEILING AND SOMEHOW WRAPPED THE SEAT BELT AND KNOTTED AROUND HIS NECK. MY 19 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK ALSO AND TRIED TO UNSUCCESSFULLY LOOSEN THE SEAT BELT. WE PULLED OVER ON THE HIGHWAY, MY SON STARTED TO PANIC AND EACH TIME HE MOVED THE SEAT BELT GOT TIGHTER AND TIGHTER. ME AND MY FIANCE TRIED TO GET THE SEAT BELT OFF OR AT LEAST LOOSEN. AT THIS POINT MY SON COULD NOT BREATHE AND HIS FACE WAS RED AND LIPS STARTING TO TURN PURPLE. LUCKILY MY FIANCE HAD A POCKET KNIFE AND WE WERE ABLE TO CUT THE SEAT BELT. IF WE DID NOT HAVE A KNIFE, I AM SURE MY SON WOULD HAVE DIED. IF THERE WERE A SAFETY MECHANISM THAT COULD RELEASE THE SEAT BELT WE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS TERRIBLE ORDEAL. *NM
