WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE DRIVER NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE BECAME SHAKY AND WAS DIFFICULT TO CONTROL NEARLY CAUSING THE DRIVER TO GO OFF THE ROAD. DRIVER TOOK THE VEHICLE TOOK VEHICLE TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT, UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, DISCOVERED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME HAD NEARLY RUSTED COMPLETELY THROUGH.
MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH NO WARNING. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY SEVERAL CARS AND I HAD BOTH OF MY KIDS IN THE BACKSEAT OF THE CAR. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THAT MY CAR JUST DIES WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THIS IS SO DANGEROUS I HOPE NISSAN CORRECTS THIS PROBLEM BEFORE SOMEONE GETS KILLED
TAKATA RECALL I AM NOT SURE WHY MY VIN IS NOT RECALL AS YET. THE CAR ACCELERATES ON OCCASION. I REPLAVE ALL COILS NOW EVERY 2 MONTHS BECAUSE THATS HOW LONG THEY ARE LASTING NISSAN WESTON FLORIDA HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE CAR KEEPS BURNING COILS OUT. THIS FEELS SO DANGEROUS TO ME ON THE HOGHWAY I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS THE TRANSMISSION OR COMPUTER ITS VERY SCARY
IMMEDIATELY AFTER I HAD THE CAT FLUID FLUSHED/REPLACED AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER, THERE WOULD BE A SMELL OF BURNING LIQUID FROM UNDERNEATH THE CAR. USUALLY THE SMELL IS STRONGER WHEN COMING TO A STOP FROM MOVING
APPARENTLY NISSAN IS KNOWN FOR PROBLEMS WITH THEIR FUEL LEVEL SENSORS, BUT NOT SPECIFICALLY FOR MURANOS' WELL MAYBE IT SHOULD BE, EVEN AFTER I BOUGHT THE NEW PARTS AND HAD THEM INSTALLED WITH A MECHANIC, THEY STILL DO NOT WORK OR FUNCTION PROPERLY.WHEN I FILL UP THE TANK THE LEVEL SENSOR DOESN'T GO PAST A QUARTER OF A TANK NOW, IT DROPS RAPIDLY AND I HAVE EVEN NOW RAN OUT OF GAS WHEN IT SAYS IT HAS GAS IN THERE OR MILES TILL EMPTY. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM, MAYBE IT SHOULD BE FIXED.
INCIDENT 1: TURNED MY CAR ON AND LET IT WARM UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE, STARTED DRIVING, SPEED LIMIT WENT FROM 25 , 35 , 45 . ONCE I WAS COASTING AROUND 45 MPH MY VEHICLE LOST POWER COMPLETELY WHILE IN MOTION, LOCKING MY STEERING WHEEL. CAME TO A STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. ENGINE LIGHT CODE P0335 WAS READ FROM MY FIXD APP. REPLACED SENSOR AND ALL WAS FINE FOR ABOUT 10 DAYS. INCIDENT 2: DRIVING DOWN A ROAD GOING 30 MPH UP A HILL MY CAR AGAIN, LOST POWER AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED WHILE IN MOTION, BRAKES WERE VERY STIFF AND I WAS ALMOST UNABLE TO STOP MY VEHICLE FROM ROLLING DOWN THE HILL BACKWARDS. CHECKED MY CODE READER AND AGAIN, CODE P0335 WAS THE ISSUE AGAIN. REPLACED ANOTHER CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. INCIDENT 3: WAS STATIONARY AT A BUSY CITY INTERSECTION WHEN MY 2006 NISSAN MURANO AGAIN, LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT START. MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT ON THE LIST OF RECALLS BUT I FEEL AS THOUGH IT NEEDS TO BE. THERE ARE OTHER MAKES/MODELS OF NISSAN THAT WERE RECALLED FOR THIS EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE.
THE ENGINE STALLS UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE IN MOTION. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES. ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENT. NISSAN RECALL INTAKE AIR DUCTS RESONATOR. 2009. NISSAN WILL NOT HELP BECAUSE OF THE VIN NUMBER.
THE BRAKET ON THE DRIVER SEAT BROKE AND THE SEAT IS LOPSIDEED AND CAN NOT DRIVE THE CAR, ARE THE REPAIRS COVERD BY THE MANUFACTURER?
BROKEN SEAT FRAME - DRIVERS SEAT (LEFT REAR) WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, I HEARD A POP, THE NEXT THINK I KNEW THE SEAT & I WAS LEANING TO THE LEFT WOBBLING BACK AND FOURTH. CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED..
SITTING IN TRAFFIC AND WHEN I GO TO TAKE OFF NO POWER. ENGINE IS STILL RUNNING BUT NO POWER TO GO. TURN ENGINE OFF START IT BACK UP PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT GO'S JUST FINE.
WE FIRST STARTED HAVING ISSUES WITH THE IGNITION COILS AND SPARK PLUG GOING BAD, CAUSING OUR CAR TO STOP AND SHAKE. HAD THEM REPLACED AND A MONTH LATER THE CAR STARTED MAKING AN UNGODLY RATTLE NOISE. ALMOST LIKE A LOUD FAN TYPE NOISE. IT GETS LOUDER THE MORE YOU DRIVE IT. THE SEVERAL DIFFERENT SHOPS THAT LOOKED AT IT. ALL SAID THE SAME THING, THE LIFTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND FAST. AND SAID UNFORTUNATELY IT WAS JUST A MATTER OF TIME. BEFORE MY AXLE AND NAVIGATION SYSTEM WENT OUT MID DRIVE. AND I SHOULD CONTACT YOU BECAUSE THIS WAS NISSAN ISSUE TO FIX. AND THAT WE NEED TO GET RID OF THIS DEATH TRAP. BEFORE IT KILLED ME AND OUR FAMILY.
WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS ON A LIFT TO CHECK THE ALIGNMENT, THE MECHANIC NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE BACK SUSPENSION FRAME WAS COMPLETLY RUSTED OUT. IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING AND HIT A BUMP THE WRONG WAY, I WOULD HAVE LOST THE BACK END SUSPENSION AND LOST CONTROL OF MY CAR. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, THERE WERE NUMEROUS AND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. I CONTACTED NISSAN AND THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL ON THIS DANGEROUS, FAULTY FRAME.
CVT NEEDS REPLACEMENT! TIME TO STAND BY NISSAN PRODUCTS AND CUSTOMERS. CODES ARE ALL TRANSMISSION RELATED, P0774, P0840, P0845, P1778. VIN [XXX]. THEY ARE HIDING BEHIND 10 YR OR 120,000 MILE WALL. 06 MURANO HAS 94,000 MILES. BEING PUNISHED FOR DRIVING LESS THAN 8,000 MILES PER YEAR. THIS MODEL NEEDS TO BE RECALLED, IT IS A "DO NOT DRIVE" SITUATION. PUBLIC BOARDS ARE FULL OF CVT FAILURES AND NISSAN DODGING ITS CUSTOMERS. WHILE DRIVING MY KIDS TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING, I LOST ALL ACCELERATION IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY ROAD UNABLE TO MOVE, DRIVE ANYTHING. I TURNED THE CAR ON AND OFF TO TRY TO MOVE THE CAR FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, I COULD ONLY REVERSE. WHEN IN DRIVE I ITS AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL. THE BATTERY, BRAKE LIGHT AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ALL CAME ON AT ONCE. THEY WERE NOT ON PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. CLEARLY THIS IS SOME SORT OF MALFUNCTION WITH IN NISSAN. I READ MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES AS ME AND I PLAN TO MAKE THIS KNOWN. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR WE WOULD ALL BE DEAD THIS IS A SERIOUS ISSUES AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED CLEARLY THERE IS SOME SORT OF AND ISSUES WHERE NISSAN HAS A RECALL OR SOMETHING.
I PURCHASED A VEHICLE FROM A DEALERSHIP LOCATED AT 4985 MEMORIAL DRIVE STONE MOUNTAIN GA. 30083 AND I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE NEEDED TWO FRONT ROTORS,PASSENGER SIDE AXLE,AND BRAKES SO I DROVE TO AUTO ZONE TO PURCHASE THE PARTS SO THE DEALERSHIP COULD FIX THE PROBLEM ONCE I ARRIVED BACK AT THE SHOP AND GOT ON THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED THE CAR STARTED SHAKING,LOSING CONTROL OF THE WHEEL BECAUSE HE DIDN'T FIX THE AXLE,SMOKING,SMELLING LIKE SOMETHING WAS BURNING AND LIKE GAS SO I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND TOLD THEM WHAT I WAS EXPERIENCING AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP ONCE I TOOK IT TO A SHOP I WAS TOLD THE CAR WAS NO GOOD AND I NEEDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP ONCE I TOOK IT THERE I WAS TOLD I COULDN'T GET MY MONEY BACK AND I DIDN'T HAVE THE CAR LONGER THEN 24HRS NOT EVEN LONGER THEN 6 HOURS AND I REALLY FEEL LIKE I BEEN PLAYED OUT MY MONEY AND WANT IT BACK AND I NEED HELP ON ACTIONS TO TAKE ABOUT THE SITUATION BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE MY MONEY AND I RETURNED THE CAR
THE INTAKE AIR THING AS MENTIONED ONLINE THERE IS A RECALL FOR BC IT COMES LOOSE AND POPS OFF.
UNIROYAL TIRE FAILURE - COMPLETE TIRE TREAD SEPARATION WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY OPERATING UNDER NORMAL WINTER DRIVING CONDITIONS AND SPEED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND MAKING TURNS, THE STEERING WHEEL FELT LOOSE AND MADE AN ABNORMAL CLICKING NOISE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CHECK ENGINE AND ABS INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, THE HORN FAILED TO WORK, THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW FAILED TO MOVE UP OR DOWN, AND THE REAR HATCH FAILED TO OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (TAJ AUTO MALL, 154 NAZARETH PIKE, BETHLEHEM, PA 18020-9456) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUSPENSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE 'S SUSPENSION WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 136,000.
BATTERY STOPPD CHARGING, VEHICHLE SPEED IS LIMITED, ENGINE STOPS RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING ALMOST CAUSING 2 ACCIDENTS ALREADY! ONCE ON THE HIGHWAY, IF THERE HADN'T BEEN A PLACE TO PULL OVER ID GOT SLAMMED FROM BEHIND CAUSING A PILE UP, ONCE TURNING INTO MCDONALDS WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC HAVING TO STOP AT ABOUT 30 MPH BECAUSE IT DIED WITHOUT WARNING
SUBFRAME RUST THROUGH AND BROKE, CAUSING LOST CONTROL OF CAR. CAR BECAME DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE, WITH EXPENSIVE REPAIRS DUE TO THE BREAK. RESEARCH SHOWS THAT MANY PEOPLE WITH THE SAME CAR, OR SIMILAR YEARS, HAVE HAD SAME ISSUE. BRAKE OF SUBFRAME WAS WHILE MOVING ON HIGHWAY, CAUSING DRIFT OF CAR WITH NO CONTROL OF BACK WHEELS, PUTTING MYSELF AND OTHER CARS IN DANGER. ENGINE PROBLEM. OIL KEPT LEAKING ON OTHER PART AND MAKE THEM GO BAD. CAR WAS TAKEN TO DIFFERENT LOCATION, ALL SAID THE SAME THINGS.
I WENT TO DRIVE MY CAR IN THE MORNING AND IT DIDN'T TURN ON IT HAD BEEN RUNNING FINE THE WHOLE TIME IVE HAD IT. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN 2015 IT HAD 103945 MILES ON IT. IT NOW HAS 118K ON IT AND ONCE THE BATTERY WAS CHARGED WE PROCEEDED TO REPLACE IT. THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED UP GOT ME TO WORK , AS SOON AS I WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE WORK IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. IT TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO JUMP IT AND FINALLY GET IT GOING. AS SOON AS I GOT HOME AND PARKED IT, ONCE AGAIN COMPLETELY DEAD. I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS THE ALTERNATOR BY SEVERAL PEOPLE AND HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO GET IT IN TO A SHOP AS I WORK DIFFICULT SHIFTS TO CORRELATE WITH WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR MOST SHOPS TO PROVIDE. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED AND THEN HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN THE NEXT DAY AS I HAVE READ SEVERAL COMPLAINTS HERE STATING THEY FIX THE ALTERNATOR JUST TO HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN. HAS THIS YEAR AND MODEL HAD ANY RECALL IN REGARDS TO THIS ISSUE AS I HAVE PURCHASED A BRAND NEW BATTERY TO HAVE IT STONE DEAD THE NEXT DAY.

ALTERNATOR FAILED A FEW MONTHS AGO. HAD IT REPLACED TWICE, AS THE NEXT DAY IT FAILED AGAIN. NOW, MY BRAKE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT ARE ON AGAIN, AND EVERYTHING I'VE READ SAYS THIS MEANS ALTERNATOR FAILURE AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME AS WELL.
VEHICLE FUEL SENSOR GONE BAD. SHOWS AS CHECK ENGINE AND FUEL LEVEL IS EITHER EMPTY OR EMPTY.
MY DAUGHTER 2006 NISSAN MURANO REAR SUBFRAME FAILED AT 118,000 MILES. THE SUBFRAME HAS ROTTED THROUGH COMPLETELY. WE BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE AND WERE TOLD THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE ON THE ROADS. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS ONLINE, THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE WITH SUBFRAME ISSUES. NISSAN NEEDS TO RECALL THESE CARS. THE REST OF THE UNDERCARRIAGE LOOKS LIKE NEW. THIS IS CLEARLY A PROBLEM THAT IS OF GREAT SAFETY CONCERN. PLEASE ADVISE OTHERS OF THIS ISSUE.
THE ENTIRE EXHAUST SYSTEM IS ROTTED OUT AND IS CAUSING MY VEHICLE TO MELT. I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH NISSAN AND THEY ARE REFUSING TO RECTIFY THE ISSUE.

MY CVT TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHEN I FIRST START TO DRIVE (CANNOT GO OVER 20 MILES AN HOUR.) AFTER WARMING UP IT STARTS TO RESPOND. WHEN DRIVING ON EXPRESSWAY YOU CAN FEEL THE TRANSMISSION SLIP AND THE CAR LAGS/LUNGES. NISSAN REPAIR CANNOT GET AN "ERROR CODE" FROM THEIR MACHINE WHEN TESTING BUT ACKNOWLEDGES THE PROBLEM. THEY REFUSE TO SERVICE THE CAR UNTIL IT CODES. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ACKNOWLEDGES THE PROBLEM AND WILL NOT PROVIDE ASSISTANCE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR FRAME WAS RUSTED OUT AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER WAS CONTACTED AT 414-586-5400 WHERE IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FUEL LEVER GUAGE IS INCONSISTENT AND WAY OFF. I PUT A HALF TANK IN AND IT READS EMPTY.

AIRBAG LIGHT ON CONTINUOUSLY TOOK IT TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT STATED I HAD TO PAY FOR THE PART AND LABOR THERE HAVE BEEN RECALLS ON THESE CARS AIRBAGS
ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND EXCEL ON THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, THE CAR WILL ONLY GO 5 MPH AND WILL EVENTUALLY TAKE OFF AT FULL SPEED.

DRIVERS SIDE POWER SEAT BROKEN. THIS IS THE SECOND MURANO I HAVE OWNED WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE NOTICED ONLINE THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON OCCURRENCE. DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE.
THE REAR SUB FRAME OF THE CAR HAS RUSTED THROUGH AND BROKEN IN SEVERAL PLACES.
DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT FRAME SNAPPED WHILE GETTING INTO MY CAR. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS THE SEAT WOBBLES AND IS NOW NOT SECURE TO THE VEHICLE. I FEEL I MAY BECOME A HUMAN MISSILE IF I WERE TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT.
FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BRACKET IS BROKEN AND SEAT WOBBLES. THE SEAT COULD BREAK FREE IN AN ACCIDENT AND CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY. THIS IS A SAFETY-RELATED ISSUE AND NISSAN SHOULD DO THE RIGHT THING BY ISSUING A RECALL.

I CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP ABOUT A YEAR AGO THINKING THIS WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM I GET CODE PO463 WHEN CHECKED WITH SCANNER. THE CAR HAS 132, 000 MILES ON IT AND THIS PROBLEM IS ONGOING. MY SON RAN OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION WHEN IT QUIT. TOOK VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALER AND SHOWED THE SERVICE ADVISOR MY CONCERNS INFORMED ME A DIANOGSTIC TEST WOULD COST $270 IF COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG, AND I COULDN'T BE TAKE HOME BECAUSE IT WAS OVER 10 MILES, AND ADVISOR SUGGESTED TAKING CAR CLOSER TO WHERE I LIVED. STARTED THE ENGINE ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO BEFORE PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED BLINKING AND REMAINED ON EVER SINCE. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A NISSAN DEALER TO HAVE IT CHECKED. INITIALLY THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE AIRBAG SO THEY RESET THE LIGHT AND CHARGED A $75.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE. BUT AS SOON AS THE TECHNICIAN RETURNED WITH THE VEHICLE THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AGAIN. HE TOOK IT BACK TO THE REPAIR AREA AND AFTER 2 HOURS HE CAME BACK AND SAID THE AIRBAG COMPUTER IS MALFUNCTIONING AND IS NOT ABLE TO RECOGNIZE THE VEHICLE. HE STATED THAT IT WOULD COST $1500.00 TO REPLACE THE AIR BAG COMPUTER WHICH MY WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER AND I DON'T BELIEVE THAT THIS PROBLEM SHOULD BE A CUSTOMERS RESPONSIBILITY AS AIR BAGS ARE IMPORTANT SAFETY FEATURES WHICH SHOULD NOT JUST RANDOMLY MALFUNCTION ESPECIALLY SINCE THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS WHATSOEVER. I ASKED IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAG AND HE SAID NO, I ALSO ASKED IF THIS IS RECURRENT PROBLEM FOR OTHER CONSUMERS WITH THE SAME VEHICLE AND HE RESPONDED THAT HE DOES SEE THIS PROBLEM QUITE OFTEN WITH THE SAME VEHICLE.
