I EXITED A PARKING LOT AND WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 20MPH THE DRIVERS SEAT REAR MOUNTING BRACKET BROKE ON THE REAR LEFT SIDE, THE SEAT SNAPPED BACK TO THE LEFT SIDE WHICH NEARLY CAUSED ME TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. I'VE READ ON THE FORUMS THAT THIS IS HAPPENING TO NEARLY EVERY SINGLE 2003 - 2007 NISSAN MURANO. *TR

HELLO, I OWN A 2007 NISSAN MURANO AND HAVE JUST HAD AN ISSUE WHERE THE ENTIRE SUB FRAME HAS BROKEN IN HALF DUE TO RUST. THE CAR IS NOT EVEN 10 YEARS OLD (160K MILES) AT THIS POINT AND I WAS WONDERING IF SUCH A DANGEROUS ISSUE WOULD BE ELIGIBLE FOR REPAIR VIA NISSAN? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. LAST YEAR MY DRIVERS SIDE FRONT SEAT ANCHOR/BRACKET BROKE. POOR DESIGN. REAR SUB FRAME RUSTED OUT RESULTING IN THE REAR LEFT WHEEL TO NEARLY FALL OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS YEAR MY WIFE WAS ADVISED BY A PERSON IN A VEHICLE BEHIND HER THAT THE REAR WHEEL WAS READY TO LAUNCH. ROAD SALT CAUSED RUSTING TO SUB FRAME BODY MOUNT. AGAIN POOR DESIGN AND MATERIAL. *TR
TRACK ON DRIVER'S SIDE BROKEN, GOT INTO CAR AND RIGHT SIDE OF SEAT WENT BACKWARD.
FRONT TRANSFER CASE LEAKS FOR NO APPARENT REASON CAUSING FAILURE. NO MAINTENANCE CHECKS ARE LISTED FOR THIS PART AND APPEARS TO BE A DESIGN FAILURE.
WHILE GETTING IN MY CAR AFTER WORK, THE SEAT WAS ALL OF A SUDDEN UNSTABLE, LEANING TO THE REAR LEFT. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE BRACKET HAS BROKEN IN TWO PLACES, WHICH WILL NEED TO BE RE-WELDED. I HAD NO WARNING PRIOR TO IT ACTUALLY BREAKING. THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, HAVE NEVER HAD ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPEN. VERY GLAD IT DID NOT HAPPEN WHILE I WAS DRIVING, PARTICULARLY ON A ROAD TRIP. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SEAT WAS FRACTURED AND VEERED TO THE LEFT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. UPON INSPECTION, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SUPPORT BAR WAS DETACHED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,000. I OWN A 2007 NISSAN MURANO THAT I BOUGHT USED 1.5 YEARS AGO. THERE ARE TWO SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES THAT THE CAR HAS AND FOR WHICH NISSAN HAS HAD TO RECALL THOUSANDS OF OTHER VEHICLES. I JUST CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY MY PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. IT'S JUST TOO COINCIDENTAL AND NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. RECALL NUMBER 09V169000 RECALL DATE 05/19/2009 COMPONENT ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING THE INTAKE AIR DUCTS, WHICH ARE CONNECTED TO THE INTERMEDIATE RESONATOR IN THE AIR INTAKE SYSTEM OF THE ENGINE, MAY SEPARATE FROM THE RESONATOR WITH ENGINE MOVEMENT. THIS SEPARATION OCCURS DUE TO THE PREMATURE AGING OF THE MATERIAL USED IN THE INTAKE AIR DUCTS WHICH CAUSES EXCESSIVE SHRINKING. RECALL NUMBER 08V521000 RECALL DATE 10/07/2008 COMPONENT AIR BAGS SUMMARY NISSAN IS RECALLING 204,361 MY 2007-2008 ALTIMA, ALTIMA HYBRID, 350Z, 350Z ROADSTER, MY 2008 ALTIMA COUPE, ROGUE, MY 2009 MURANO, AND INFINITI MY 2007-2008 G35 SEDAN, MY 2008 G37 COUPE AND EX35 PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVE SYSTEMS' OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) CONTROL UNITS. A VARISTOR IN THE OCS CONTROL UNIT LOCATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT CUSHION MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED OUT OF SPECIFICATION. UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, THIS COULD CAUSE AN INTERRUPTION OF SIGNAL BETWEEN THE OCS AND THE AIR BAG CONTROL UNIT (ACU). CONSEQUENCE THIS COULD RESULT IN THE PASSENGER AIR BAG BEING SUPPRESSED WHICH COULD FAIL TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH.
VISORS WILL NOT STAY UP IN STORAGE. EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT BUT NOT SAFE. VISOR WILL SUDDENLY DROP OBSTRUCTING DRIVERS VIEW OF THE ROAD. THIS HAPPENS BOTH ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER VISORS BUT DRIVER IS WORSE. COMPLETELY OBSCURES VIEW OF ROAD AND IT IS UNPREDICTABLE WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. NO WAY TO TIGHTEN OR FIX. NO PROMISE THAT REPLACEMENT WON'T HAVE SAME PROBLEM.
POWER STEELING HOSE LEAKING - LOOKS THAT IT BURSTED

THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CODES MATCHED THOSE IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V521000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 168,000.
MY NISSAN MURANO HAS 122,000 MILES ON CAR AND I HAVE ALREADY SPENT A LOT OF MONEY REPAIRING CVT'S, FRONT END ISSUES AND HAD TO PURCHASE A NEW TRANSMISSION. I WAS ON THE INTERSTATE AND HAD TO DRIVE SLOW ALL THE WAY TO MY HOME. NO ACCIDENT BUT NISSAN MURANO HAS A LOT OF ISSUES WITH THE FRONT WHEELS AND TRANSMISSION.
I RECENTLY LEARNED THAT I NEED A TRANSMISSION ($4,400) FOR MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO AND I ALSO HAVE READ THAT THIS IS COMMON PROBLEM AMONG NISSANS. WHY ISN'T THERE SOME KIND OF RECALL OR HELP TO REPLACE AGAIN FOR SUCH A COMMON PROBLEM?
ENGINE STALLS TO GAIN SPEED FROM 20MPH TO 40MPH SPECIALLY DURING HOT DAYS. IT SLIPPED WHILE DRIVING BOTH, CITY STREETS AND OR HIGHWAYS. SPEED PEDAL CAN BE PRESSED COMPLETALY WITHOUT INCREASES OF SPEED.
DRIVERS SEAT TO FLOOR TRACK ATTACHMENT BROKEN ON LEFT REAR ATTACHMENT. CURRENTLY ONLY THE RIGHT REAR TRACK REMAINS ATTACHED TO THE SEAT ITSELF WHICH IN AN ACCIDENT COULD BREAK LAUNCHING THE DRIVER INTO THE BELT AND THE AIRBAG IN A FRONTAL CRASH. CURRENTLY THE MANUFACTURER NISSAN ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR PRODUCT DEFECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL MADE AN ABNORMAL SQUEAKING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING HOSE HAD AN INTERNAL LEAK AND THE POWER STEERING SENSOR FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.

DRIVER'S SEAT - THE BRACKET IN THE REAR LEFT THAT SUPPORTS THE SEAT BROKE WHILE DRIVING. AIR BAGS - THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND WILL NOT GO AWAY. WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN FEB. 2016, THE DEALER ASSURED ME IT WAS JUST A GLITCH IN THE DISPLAY. ENGINE - STARTED RUNNING ROUGH ABOUT A WEEK AGO, WHILE WE WERE HEADED OUT OF TOWN. CANCELLED THAT TRIP. THREW A "CYLINDER 3 MISFIRE" CODE. MY HUSBAND REPLACED THAT PLUG AND COIL AND IT CONTINUED TO RUN ROUGH. TODAY, IT OVERHEATED AND STARTED DUMPING FLUID ON THE GROUND. THE SUSPENSION IS ALSO FAILING. WHEN WE HIT A BUMP OR POTHOLE, IT FEELS LIKE THE FRONT END IS GOING TO FALL OFF. I LOVED THIS CAR WHEN WE BOUGHT IT AND WHEN IT RUNS RIGHT, BUT RIGHT NOW, I AM COMPLETELY DISGUSTED. I HAVE ONLY OWNED IT FOR TWO MONTHS. I FEEL LIKE WE WERE ROBBED AND WE AREN'T IN THE FINANCIAL STANDING TO REPLACE IT.

WHILE DRIVING THE POWER LOCKS, WINDOWS, SEAT ADJUSTER, ALARM AND LIFT GATE STOPPED WORKING. NO POWER TO THE MAIN WINDOW/LOCK SWITCH ON THE DRIVERS SIDE.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING I STOPPED AT A RESTAURANT AND WHEN I TRIED TO ROLL MY WINDOWS DOWN, THE POWER LOCKS, WINDOWS, ALARM, SEAT ADJUSTER, BRAKE PEDAL/ACCELERATOR, REAR HATCH STOPPED WORKING. NO POWER TO THE MAIN WINDOW SWITCH PANEL. JUST STOPPED WORKING ONE DAY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT ROCKED FORWARD AND BACKWARD ON THE ROUGH TERRAIN OF THE HIGHWAY. THE SEAT LEANED TOWARDS THE DRIVER'S DOOR AND WAS UNSTABLE. THE BACK OF THE SEAT LEANED, SLID TOWARDS THE DRIVER'S DOOR, AND CAUSED DISCOMFORT TO THE DRIVER. THE SEAT WAS UNSTABLE DURING AN ANGLED POSITION. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE METAL TRACK SEPARATED PARTIALLY FROM THE FLOORBOARD TRACKING. THE DEALER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,910.
"TAKATA RECALL" MY AIRBAG ICON STARTED TO BLINK. CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS AND EVERYTHING SEEMS TO CONNECTED. MY WIFE USES THIS VEHICLES WITH MY KIDS. CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY FAMILY.

THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START UNTIL IT WAS REFILLED WITH FUEL. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL SENDING UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 119,000.
EVERYTIME I AM IN A SLOW SPEED MY TRUCK PUTTERS AND JERKS LIKE ITS SHIFTING INTO ANOTHER SPEED. I DONT HAVE A MANUAL. MY SEAT FEELS LIKE SOMEONE IS PULLING ON IT WHEN NOBODY IS NEAR ME. MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND MY TIRE PRESURE BATTERY KEEPS DYING ON ME.
WHEN STARTING THE CAR FROM A PARKED POSITIONED AFTER RUNNING A FEW ERRANDS DURING A SLIGHT ICE/SNOW FALL MID-MORNING AND WIPERS DID NOT MOVE WHEN ACTIVATED. I TURNED THE WIPERS ON HIGH AND LISTENED FOR THE MOTOR WHICH WAS RUNNING BUT IT SEEMED WIPER WERE DETACHED. I SPENT 2 DAYS DRIVING TO AND FROM WORK AT NIGHT WITH RAIN AND SNOW FALL EACH WAY. I WAS DANGEROUS BUT I COULD NOT CALL IN. MY FAMILY AND I HAVE BEEN LOOKING UP THIS ISSUE AND APPARENTLY IT IS VERY COMMON FOR MANY DIFFERENT TYPES OF NISSANS TO HAVE THIS LINKAGE BRAKE.
FOLLOWING VEHICLE BEING IN FOR COOLANT SYSTEM REPAIR, I ENTERED VEHICLE DRIVER SIDE AND FOUND THE SEAT MOVED FORWARD TO THE EXTREME, I MOVED IT BACK AND SAT DOWN, RIGHT AWAY I NOTICED THE SEAT DID NOT FEEL STABLE, WAS UNSURE IF THIS WAS RELATED TO THE RECENT WORK, BEGAN DRIVING VEHICLE, WENT A SHORT DISTANCE, DRIVER SEAT WAS LISTING TO THE DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE, AND WAS UNSTABLE. I RETURNED IMMEDIATELY TO REPAIR SHOP, OF COURSE LATE IN DAY AND CLOSING TIME. I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD LOOK AT NEXT DAY, LOW AND BEHOLD, THE BAD NEWS BEGINS ARRIVING ABOUT MIDMORNING- THE SEAT TRACK IS BROKEN AND WILL COST A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO REPAIR. DURING MY DRIVE BACK TO REPAIR SHOP NEXT DAY, THE SEAT FEELS VERY UNSTABLE AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DRIVING THIS VEHICLE ANY LENGTH OF TIME; CREATES A SIGNIFICANT FEELING THAT CONTROL OF VEHICLE IS NOT SECURE, DUE TO SEAT INSTABILITY. AREN'T SEAT SUPPOSE TO LAST THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE, WHAT IS ALL THAT MONEY PAYING FOR?

I WAS RECENTLY TOLD THAT I NEED TO REPLACE MY "MOTOR MOUNTS." MY ENGINE HAS ALWAYS SHIFTED WHENEVER I PUT THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE. IT HAS BEEN LIKE THIS FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW.
I'VE ONLY BEEN DRIVING MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO CAR THAT I RECENTLY PURCHASED USED FOR 3 WEEKS. I WAS DRIVING ON THE ROAD AND SUDDENLY MY CAR STARTED JERKING, SHAKING, SMOKING FROM UNDER THE HOOD THEN IT ABRUPTLY STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC ON A BUSY ROAD. THE CAR SHUT DOWN AND WOULD NOT START AGAIN. I CALLED THE POLICE, THEY BLOCKED THE LANE I WAS IN AND CALLED A LOCAL TOW TRUCK SERVICE THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR OUT OF POCKET BECAUSE IT WAS AN EMERGENCY DANGEROUS SITUATION TO GET IT OFF THE ROAD AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND THE POLICE COULD NOT CHANCE TO WAIT FOR MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO SEND A TOW SERVICE.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR WILL NOT STAY UP AND FALLS DOWN INTO THE FIELD OF VISION OF THE DRIVER. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT AND NISSAN WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THE EQUIPMENT IS DEFECTIVE AND SHOULD BE REPLACED UNDER RECALL.
I DIDN'T HAVE ANY ISSUES WITH IT UNTIL DROPPING MY SON OFF FOR SCHOOL ONE MORNING IN SEPTEMBER. AS I PULLED OFF FROM THE CORNER AND THEN TRIED TO MAKE AN IMMEDIATE LEFT TURN, MY CAR JUST STOPPED, STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND I HAD TO PULL AS HARD AS I COULD TO FINISH THE TURN AND NOT GET HIT BY ONCOMING TRAFFIC. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I WAS TERRIFIED BUT GLAD THAT MY SON WASN'T IN THE CAR AT THE TIME. FOR THE PAST FIVE MONTHS, MY NISSAN MURANO JUST STOPS OR STALLS AT RANDOM. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW SLOW OR FAST, WHETHER I'M TURNING OR NOT, IT JUST TURNS OFF. I HAVE TO QUICKLY TURN THE KEY TO "OFF" AND THEN TRY TO QUICKLY RESTART THE CAR. I'VE HAD TO STRUGGLE TO PULL THE WHEEL TO PULL THE CAR TO THE CURB JUST TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF TRAFFIC. I'VE HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR AND IT'S HAPPENED WITH MY HUSBAND AS WELL, AND HE'S DRIVEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY (WHICH WE WILL NO LONGER TRY WITH THAT CAR). NO HELP FROM NISSAN OR NISSAN DEALERSHIPS - JUST GIVEN THE RUN AROUND ABOUT VERY UNSAFE CAR.
I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2007 NISSAN MURANO WHICH I PURCHASED ON 5/5/2015. I FELT COMFORTABLE MOVING FORWARD WITH THE PURCHASE BASED ON THE CARFAX WHICH STATED NO ACCIDENT / DAMAGE REPORTED , NO TOTAL LOSS, NO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE, NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. AFTER, GOING TO A LOCAL GAS STATION AND PURCHASING THE REQUIRED OCTANE. I PULLED OFF INTO TRAFFIC SAFELY AND THE CAR WOULD NOT BUDGE. TERRIFIED THAT I WOULD GET HIT BY ON COMING TRAFFIC, I JUMPED INTO ACTION AND PUT THE CAR INTO REVERSE. I LET OUT HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF BECAUSE, I WAS ABLE TO MOVE IN REVERSE. I CAUGHT MY BREATH AND NOTICED THAT THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON. I TOOK MY CAR TOO A LOCAL AUTOZONE AND THE CODES THAT I RECEIVED ARE ALL TRANSMISSION CODES. AFTER BEING INSTRUCTED TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC PERFORMED BY A AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALER, IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT I NEED A NEW CVT TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE RESEALED. BASED ON NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE CVT TRANSMISSION AND THE SAFETY ISSUES. I DEEM MY CAR UNSAFE AND NISSAN SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO MAKE ANY AND ALL VEHICLES MANUFACTURED.
WE WERE RETURNING FROM VACATION DRIVING DOWN I-95 WHEN WE HEARD A POP AND THE DRIVERS SEAT SETTLED BACK AND TO THE LEFT. IT CAUSED ME TO MOVE INTO THE NEXT LANE. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO ONE THERE.
SEAT FRAME WELD BROKE UNDER DRIVER'S SEAT. SEAT BEGAN TO SWAY DOWN & LEFT AND THEN SWAYED BACK UP RIGHT CAUSING A MOMENTARY LOSS OF DRIVING FOCUS AND FEAR OF LOSING CONTROL OF VEHICLE. FEAR COMPOUNDED BECAUSE MY 3 YEAR OLD GRANDDAUGHTER WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME. AFTER DRIVING NERVOUSLY HOME, I INSPECTED SEAT TO FIND A FRAME WELD BROKEN AT A CRUCIAL WEIGHT BEARING SPOT. THE LEFT REAR CORNER OF THE SEAT WAS NOT EVEN CONNECTED TO THE FRAME! I WENT TO THE INTERNET, BECAUSE THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT OF ACTION NISSAN NEVER ANSWERED, TO GET ANY INFO ON THIS. TURNS OUT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THESE DEFECTIVE SEAT FRAME WELDS. AND THE PRICE IS OFF THE CHARTS FOR THIS RETIRED (NISSAN QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR, SMYRNA PLANT). THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A RECALL OF THIS PROBLEM! FAILURE OF A DRIVER SEAT FRAME WELD SHOULD BE GROUNDS FOR A RECALL! INCREDIBLY DANGEROUS! I AM REALLY ANGRY ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. THIS CAR WAS JUST OK FOR 95,000 MILES. AFTER THAT THE HIGH PRESSURE POWER STEERING HOSE WENT OUT. THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR QUIT. NEITHER OF THE SUNVISORS WILL STAY UP. DEALER ASKING $135 EACH. PRIOR TO 95,000 MILES, BRAKES X2, TIRES X2 SETS, HATCH SHOCKS WORN OUT, ALL UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS WORN OUT, UNDERBODY SHOCKS WORN OUT, CENTER CV BOOT/HALF SHAFT REPLACED, OE & DEALER REPLACEMENT WIPERS ARE A JOKE AND UP TO NOW, 6 HEADLAMP BULBS REPLACED (NO, I DIDN'T TOUCH THEM). AND THE REGULAR MAINTENANCE SET FORTH BY THE MANUAL; WHEW! I HAVE SPENT THOUSANDS ON SERVICE. I WORKED FOR NISSAN FOR 25 YEARS, BUT I WILL NEVER AGAIN BUY A NISSAN PRODUCT. PLEASE REQUEST NISSAN TO RECALL THE MURANO ABOUT THE SEAT FRAME WELD.
ON THE WAY HOME FROM NISSAN SEVICE CAR STOPPED HAD TO BE TOWED. NISSAN SHOP DIAGNOSIS 3 CAM SENSORS NEEDED REPLACING. $789.00 LABOR COST AND NIQSSAN PARTS TOTAL LESS THAN $350.00. ALWAYS SERVICED AT THE GARAGE AND WAS GOING TO PURCHASE A NEW ONE. NOW DEFINITELY OUT OF THE QUESTION AFTER THIS TREATMENT. THE CAR STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE EXPRESSWAY THANK YOU
I WAS GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND HEARD A NOISE AND MY DRIVER SEAT WENT BACK AND TOWARD THE WINDOW. I HAD TO REGAIN CONTROL OF MY CAR BECAUSE WHEN THE SEAT FRAME BROKE I SWERVED AND MY FOOT FELL OFF THE GAS PEDAL. WHEN READING ONLINE I FOUND THAT THERE WAS AN INVESTIGATION BUT NO RECALL WAS ISSUED. I ALSO FOUND THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE REVISIT THIS ISSUE AND DO SOMETHING TO PROTECT NOT ONLY THE DRIVER/PASSENGER OF THE VEHICLE BUT THE OTHER MOTORISTS ON THE ROAD BEFORE SOMEONE GETS SERIOUSLY HURT OR WORSE. IF IT WAS MY INEXPERIENCED 18 YEAR OLD DRIVING THERE WOULD HAVE SURELY BEEN AN ACCIDENT.
POWER STEERING FLUID LEAK. HAVE TO REPLACE FLUID EVERY WEEK. IF FLUID RUNS OUT WHILE DRIVING, WILL LOOSE CONTROL OF AUTO AND CRASH. TOOK AUTO TO CLAY NISSAN OF NEWTON AND THEY COULD NOT FIND THE LEAK, YET EACH WEEK I HAVE TO TOP UP THE STEERING FLUID. THIS STARTED ON 06/01/2015 AND I TOP UP EACH WEEK.
DRIVER'S SEAT BECAME WOBBLY AND UNSTABLE WITHOUT WARNING MAKING DRIVING QUITE DIFFICULT; DEALERSHIP STAFF INDICATED SEAT TRACK NEEDED COSTLY REPAIR. DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR DROPS DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING AND WILL NOT STAY PUT; COST TO REPLACE WOULD BE NEARLY $200. I THOUGHT THESE ITEMS LASTED FOR THE DURATION OF THE VEHICLE.
AS I WAS DRIVING IN TRAFFIC (APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH), I APPLIED THE BRAKES AT THE STOPLIGHT AND THERE WAS A SUDDEN LOUD SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. WHEN I APPLIED THE GAS, THERE WAS NO POWER, BUT THE ENGINE CONTINUED TO REV UP. WITH CARS FLYING BY ME, THIS WAS TERRIFYING FOR ME AND MY GRANDDAUGHTERS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM, TWICE. OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS, MY MURANO BEGAN TO RANDOMLY SKIP/HESITATE WITH STANDARD RPM AND EXTREMELY HIGH RPM. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP HAD MY CAR FOR OVER A MONTH, SAYING THEY HAD REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION. THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE "PROBLEM " IS THERE, STILL THERE. ALSO THERE IS NO GUARANTEE/WARRANTY ON WARRANTED WORK. I NOW HAVE NOTHING.AND SCARED TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT IT WILL FAIL IN TRAFFIC.
I WAS DRIVING TO THE STORE AND AS I TURNED THE CORNER I HEARD A SNAP IN THE BACK OF THE DRIVERS SEAT AND THE SEAT SUDDENLY JERKED TO THE BACK TOWARDS THE DRIVERS DOOR AND FELT VERY UNSTABLE. IT NOW MOVES QUIT FREELY AND WHEN I GO OVER A BUMP OR A DIP OR TURN RIGHT, IT MOVES TOWARD THE DOOR. I WAS ABLE TO LOOK UNDER THE SEAT WITH A LIGHT AND IT SNAPPED RIGHT OFF THE BRACKET THAT GOES ACROSS THE BACK OF THE SEAT. I WILL BE SEEKING ESTIMATES ON FIXING IT AS IT HAPPENED TODAY AND FEELS VERY UNSAFE WHEN I GO AROUND A CORNER. *TR

THE POWER DOOR LOCKS ON THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AND TRUNK WILL NOT OPEN WHEN THE WEATHER IS WARM. THE NISSAN DEALER SAYS THE ACTUATORS ARE PROBABLY TO BLAME AND IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM. THE REPAIR IS ABOUT $600 PER LOCK. THERE IS NO KEY HOLE TO USE TO GAIN ACCESS FROM THE OUTSIDE. THE ONLY KEY ACCESS IS THE DRIVER'S DOOR. THIS CREATES A SAFETY PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY FOR TRUNK ACCESS BY ELDERLY FOLK, WHO HAVE TO CLIMB INTO THE TRUNK AREA TO OPEN THE TRUNK.
