NOTICED THERE WAS SOMETHING OFF ABOUT MY CAR WHEN MY TIRES LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE TILTING IN. WHEN I HAD IT LOOKED AT THEY NOTICED THAT THE ENTIRE BACK SUSPENSION FRAME WAS COMPLETLY RUSTED OUT AND BROKEN IN TWO PLACES. I WAS TOLD I WAS LUCKY THAT I HADNT LOST THE BACK END ALREADY AND IT WAS ONLY A MATTER OF A TIME OR A BAD BUMP AWAY. MY MECHANIC ADVISED THAT MY TODDLER AND I ARE NOT TO USE THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE INCREASED POTENTIAL OF A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. AFTER DOING SOME ONLINE RESEARCH I FOUND THIS HAS BEEN A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE CARS AND WAS SURPRISED THAT THERE WAS NOT A RECALL ON SOMETHING AS FAULTY AND DANGEROUS AS THIS.
REAR SUBFRAME IS RUSTED AND FALLING APART. WHEELS CAN NOT STAND STRAIGHT. ITS LIKE THEY ARE NATURALLY CAMBERED. WHILE DRIVING THE WHEELS WILL SHAKE AND IF YOU IT A BUMP ITLL GET WORSE
REAR CROSSMEMBER HAS RUSTED CONNECTING CONTROL ARMS. CAUSING SUV TO SLIDE THROUGH CURVES AND EXTREME CAMBER IN REAR TIRES. WEARING OUT NEW TIRES AND ALMOST CAUSING ME TO WRECK
IN THE PAST 2 WEEKS WHILE DRIVING MY CAR, IT RANDOMLY, COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF. I HAVE NO ELECTRICAL ANYTHING. MY CAR WILL START RIGHT BACK UP ONCE I STOP AND TURN THE KEY. THIS HAPPENS SEVERAL TIMES ANYTIME I TRY DRIVING (JUST IN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS) ON THE HIGHWAY 70-80 MPH OR JUST DOWN THE STREET 25-40 MPH AND HAS ALSO HAPPENED TWICE WHEN I AM MAKING A TURN! IT IS SCARY WHEN I LOSE THE ABILITY TO STEER MY VEHICLE.
THE CHARGER WARNING AND BRAKE WARNING LAMP WILL IMMEDIATELY CAME. THE ENGINE SLOWED DOWN AND THE CAR COULD ONLY GO 10 MPH. THIS HAPPENED WHILE TURNING ONTO A BUSY STREET. DROVE THE CAR 2 MPH BACK HOME.
WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON HWY GOING 70 MPH WHEN I WENT OVER A NORMAL HWY BUMP, FELT A SNAP AND COULD FEEL THE BACK OF THE CAR FISHTAIL. THIS FISHTAILING OCCURRED A FEW DAYS. WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME HAD RUSTED AND BROKE. REPAIRS WERE $3-4K FOR A NEW SUBFRAME AND LABOR AND THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. FILED COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN. ALSO THE BRAND NEW TIRES THAT WERE PUT ON AT 110K MILES NOW NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO THE 4 DAYS OF WEAR BECAUSE OF THE SUSPENSION ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FRAME CRADLE WAS RUSTED AND THE REAR FRAME CRADLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MECHANIC INFORMED THE CONTACT OF THE COMPLAINTS THEY HAD RECEIVED PERTAINING TO THE STRUCTURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (COCHRAN NISSAN, 3355 WILLIAM PENN HWY, PITTSBURGH, PA 15238), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OPENED CASE NUMBER: 30979030. NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *TT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AND WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED, WHICH WAS A SAFETY CONCERN. GERALD NISSAN IN NORTH AURORA, ILLINOIS WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,000.
MY CAR WAS RUNNING PERFECTLY FINE UNTIL LAST NIGHT WHEN IT STOPPED ACCELERATION AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A FRIENDS HOUSE. IT SORT OF "STALLED" BUT WAS STILL ON AND RUNNING JUST WOULDN'T ACCELERATE. NEVER HAD A SINGLE GLITCH WITH MY TRANSMISSION BEFORE. I ONLY HAVE 111K MILES ON IT. I'M REGULAR WITH MY MAINTENANCES. JUST STARTED HAPPENING RIGHT OUT OF THE BLUE. I HAD A MAXIMAL BEFORE THIS AND THE TRANSMISSION WENT ON IT BUT THAT MADE JERKING MOVEMENTS BEFORE IT DIED. THERE WAS NOTHING TO INDICATE MY TRANSMISSION WAS ABOUT TO DIE OR WAS FAILING! WHEN I LOOK ONLINE THERE IS CONSTANT COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOURS TRANSMISSIONS FAILING ON PEOPLE RIGHT AFTER THEY HIT THE 100K MARK. THERE NEEDS TO BE SOME KIND OF RECALL ON YOUR TRANSMISSIONS CAUSE THIS IS MAKING ME NEVER WANT TO BUY ANOTHER NISSAN EVER AGAIN AND TO WARN ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED IN BUYING YOUR CARS!
ON MARCH 21ST, I ACCIDENTLY HIT A POT HOLE AND MY MURANO STARTED MAKING LOUD NOISES. TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC WHO INFORMED ME THAT THE FRAME IS CRACKED AND COMPLETELY ROTTED OUT. VEHICLE IS NO LONGER DRIVEABLE NOR FIXABLE. NOT TO MENTION THE UNDERCARRIAGE WAS SPRAYED PRIOR TO BUYING THE VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING I HEARD A POPPING GRATING SOUND UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT .SEAT TWISTED AND SANK ON THE LEFT BACK SECTION.I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF CAR.UPON CKECKING THE LEFT BACK OF THE SEAT WAS MOVING UP AND DOWN.TOOK IT TO BODY REPAIR WHO SENT ME TO UPHOLSTERER.HE TO ME I HAVE TO GET A SEAT.I ORDERED A USED ONE ONLINE. SO FAR IT COST $425.00.WAITING ON IT . IHAVE INVOICE
CAR CUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING. SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T MOVE. IT WOULD START AGAIN THEN CUT OFF AGAIN. NO RADIO, LIGHTS OR ANYTHING. JUST DEAD. IT HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. THE LATEST INCIDENT WAS TODAY 03/11/2018 7:30 PM.
WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT GOING 25 MPH HEARD A SNAP AND COULD FEEL THE BACK OF THE CAR FISHTAIL. WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME HAD RUSTED AND BROKE. REPAIRS WERE 4 I TO 6K AND THE CAR WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE INTERSTATE WHEN THIS HAPPENED I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. COMPLAINED TO NISSAN AND ALL THEY DID WAS APOLOGIZE CAN PROVIDE A PHOTO IF NECESSARY
DRIVING ON A LOCAL HIGHWAY DOING ABOUT 35 TO 40 MPH. PUT ON BRAKES AND THE ENTIRE REAR END BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND MAKE A RUMBLING NOISE. THE REAR TIRES ARE LEANING INWARD ON BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLES WHICH THROWS OFF THE STABALIZATION OF THE VEHICLE MAKING IT UNSAFE AND DIFFICULT TO STEER OR STOP. THE ENTIRE STABALIZATION BAR AND THE MOUNTING BRACKETS SUPPORTING IT RUSTED THROUGH ON THE LEFT SIDE AND DISLODGED AND THE RIGHT SIDE IS READY TO DISLODGE FROM THE BODY AT ANY TIME. THERE IS NOTHING TO SUPPORT THE BAR SO IT CAN INADVENTERLY FALL AND HIT THE HIGHWAY AND DO DAMAGE TO THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR OR CAUSE THE VEHICLE TO FLIP. MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THEY CALLED NISSAN AND OF COURSE NO RECALL OR ASSISTANCE TO FIX THE VEHICLE WHICH IS OVER 2000 DOLLARS. THE SUN VISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE DROPS BLOCKING YOUR VISION UNEXPECTANTLY CREATING A VISION ISSUE AND CONCENTRATION ISSUE WHILE DRIVING. THE ELECTRICAL MOTOR ON THE DRIVERS SEAT IS STARTING TO FAIL AND THE SEAT WOBBLES AS IT IS BEING REPOSITIONED. ONCE REPAIR ARE COMPLETE AND I HAVE INVOICES, I WILL UPLOAD THEM UNDER A SEPARATE COMPLAINT.

TAKATA RECALL, CAR CUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING AND I'VE HAD MY ALTERNATOR REPLACED THREE TIMES WITHIN SIX MONTHS. IT DOESN'T MATTER WHERE YOU ARE, THE CAR JUST SHUTS DOWN WHILE IN MOTION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. FROM OUT OF NOWHERE, THE CONTACT NOTICED BURN MARKS ON THE FRONT AND REAR SEATS AND TAILGATE. IN ADDITION, THE CEILING INSIDE THE VEHICLE AND GLOVE COMPARTMENT HAD BURN MARKS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO WEST COVINA NISSAN (205 N CITRUS ST, WEST COVINA, CA 91791, (626) 732-1000), BUT THE MECHANIC ONLY WANTED TO REPAIR THE UPHOLSTERY OF THE VEHICLE RATHER THAN THE OTHER AFFECTED AREAS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 160,000.
TRANSMISSION FAILURE
THE LEFT FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT IS READY TO FALL OUT AS WELL AS THE REAR CROSSMEMBER FRAME IS BROKEN IN HALF ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
2007 NISSAN MURANO 1) VEHICLE BEGAN TO DRIVE IN A SIDEWAYS MOTION,ON MAIN CITY STREET: TURNED OUT THAT MAJORITY OF FRAME RUSTED OUT. 2) DRIVER AND PASSENGER WINDOWS GO DOWN WHILE VEHICLE ENGINE IS TURNED OFF.
BEGINNING ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO I NOTICED SOME UNUSUAL NOISE AND MOVEMENT OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT WHILE DRIVING. THE PROBLEM WORSENED QUICKLY, MAKING A CRUNCHING METAL NOISE AND BECOMING INCREASINGLY UNSTABLE DURING DRIVING WITH THE LEFT REAR OF THE SEAT MOVING UP AND DOWN. IT NOW MOVES WITH ONLY SLIGHT MANUAL PRESSURE APPLIED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE SEAT. UPON INVESTIGATING THE STRUCTURE UNDER THE SEAT, I FOUND A SUPPORT BRACKET WELD HAS COMPLETELY SEPARATED. THE DRASTIC MOVEMENT OF THE SEAT SEEMS DANGEROUS, SLIGHTLY CHANGING THE DRIVERS POSITION BEHIND THE WHEEL, POSSIBLY ALTERING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, THE POSITION BEHIND THE AIRBAG, AND CERTAINLY AFFECTING RESTRAINT IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH. ONLINE RESEARCH SHOWS MANY, MANY SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THIS BRACKET WELD, BUT NISSAN HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL. THIS POOR QUALITY PART FAILED, COULD RESULT IN DAMAGE, INJURY, OR DEATH, BUT WILL REQUIRE ME TO PAY $1100 TO FIX.
AIR INTAKE DUCTING SEPARATES FROM RESONATOR CAUSING ENGINE TO STALL. I FOUND A RECALL CAMPAIGN BULLETIN, NTB09-038, JULY 16, 2009. THIS RECALL WAS DENIED BY CLAY COOLEY NISSAN IN AUSTIN, TX ON NOV., 27, 2017.
I WAS TRAVELING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, GOING ABOUT 70 MPH. MY VEHICLE DIDN'T WANT TO RUN PROPERLY. I WAS UNAWARE OF THE ISSUE, I THOUGHT IT WOULD STRAIGHTEN UP AFTER A FEW MINUTES. WELL, MY CAR JUST SHUT DOWN. I WAS LUCKY I MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY BEFORE AN ACCIDENT HAPPENED. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE SHOP IN THE TOWN I RESIDE IN. HE DIAGNOSED IT, AND SAID NISSAN MURANOS WERE KNOWN FOR THIS TO HAPPEN. HE PUT IT BACK TOGETHER, AS IT HAD SEPARATED. I DID SOME PERSONAL RESEARCH ON THE PROBLEM, AND SAW THERE WAS A RECALL CAMPAIGN FOR THE GENERATION 1 MURANOS (2003-2007), I THEN DID A VIN # CHECK, AND THERE WAS NO KNOWN RECALLS FOR MY VIN. I ALSO SAW DURING RESEARCH, THAT THERE WERE THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES RECALLED FOR THIS ISSUE. I REACHED OUT TO NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, THEY MADE ME AWARE THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE DUE TO THE AGE AND MILEAGE OF THE VEHICLE. I THEN MADE THEM AWARE THIS WAS A BIG SAFETY HAZARD FOR MYSELF, AND OTHER MOTORISTS. THEY THEN TRANSFERRED THE CASE TO A REGIONAL CASE SPECIALIST. THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST, AGAIN, TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I THEN, EXPLAINED THE IMPORTANCE OF THIS PROBLEM. THE REGIONAL SPECIALIST THEN TRANSFERRED ME TO A SUPERVISOR. THE SUPERVISOR THEN CALLED ME BACK, AND TOLD ME YET AGAIN, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE. THIS IS JUST UNBELIEVABLE TO ME THAT JUST BECAUSE, BY POLICY, THEY WON'T COVER REPAIRS THAT COULD LEAD TO THE EXTENT OF TAKING SOMEONES LIFE. I HAVE TOLD THEM EVERYTHING I INCLUDED IN THIS REPORT. WHILE DRIVING THE FRONT DRIVERS SEAT BECAME FREE FLOATING AND NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN FAILED TO SOUND WHEN PRESSED. THE STEERING WHEEL NEEDED TO BE TURNED IN ORDER FOR THE HORN TO OPERATE. IN ADDITION, THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED CONTINUOUSLY. FURTHERMORE, WHEN THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW WAS NOT LOCKED, ALL THE OTHER WINDOWS WOULD OPERATE INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCKSPRING CABLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 165,000.
REAR CROSSMEMBER SUB-FRAME CRADLE ALL RUSTY THROUGH AND FAIL COMPLETELY. IT IS BROKEN IN PIECES. BOTH REAR TIRES ARE COMPLETLY OFF ALLIGNMENT .
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT PLACED THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL AND COASTED TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS WHILE MAKING RIGHT AND/OR LEFT TURNS. BROWN'S DULLES NISSAN IN STERLING, VIRGINIA WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 149,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CROWLEY NISSAN (1451 FARMINGTON AVE, BRISTOL, CT 06010 (860) 540-0555) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

WHEN THE CONTACT RETRIEVED THE VEHICLE, THE MULTI POINT INSPECTION REPORT STATED THAT TWO OF THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEMS FAILED AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE, I HEARD A LOUD CLUNK FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. AT THE NEXT INTERSECTION WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO STOP, IT VEERED SHARPLY TO THE LEFT, ALMOST INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IT TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP FOR INSPECTION. THEY INDICATED THE ENTIRE REAR SUB FRAME BROKE IN HALF AND SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. I HAVE READY MANY THREADS OF DRIVERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME THING. THESE VEHICLES ARE A DANGER ON THE ROAD.
MAIN CONTROL MODULE IS NOT WORKING, MECHANIC SAYS THE AIR BAGS MAY OR MAY NOT DEPLOY IN A WRECK. WAS TOLD BY NISSAN THE MODULE WOULD COST 1100 DOLARS PLUS LABOR TO INSTALL.
MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO DRIVER SIDE SEAT MADE A LOUD POP SOUND WHEN I SAT DOWN TO DRIVE AND THEN BROKE CAUSING IT TO LEAN TO THE LEFT SIDE, VERY UNSTABLE AND UNSAFE. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED, NOT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.

MY 2007 NISSAN MURANO SUDDENLY BEGIN ACTING LIKE IT WANTED TO SHUT OF WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. I WOULD PRESS THE GAS PEDAL ABOUT 3/4 DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THERE WOULD BE A FEW SECOND LAG BEFORE THE RPM WOULD RISE AND THEN SUDDENLY JERK FORWARD. I COULDN'T GET MY SPEED ABOVE 30 MPH WITHOUT THE VEHICLE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE GEARS ON IT OWN. THEN ONE DAY AS I'M GOING TO THE GROCERY STORE I CAME TO A STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN I SLOWLY ACCELERATED AND SUDDENLY MY CAR JERKED ABRUPTLY AND CAME TO A HALT. AT THIS POINT THE VEHICLE WAS INOPERABLE. THE MOST EMBARRASSING PART IS THAT I WAS 1/4 OF THE WAY IN THE INTERSECTION AND I WAS HOLDING UP THE TRAFFIC ALL THREE WAYS. A GOOD POLICE OFFICER STOPPED BEHIND ME AND CALLED A TOWING COMPANY. I HAD TO PAY OVER $100 TO GET MY CAR TOWED. ON TOP OF THAT I HAD TO TOW IT TO THE TRANSMISSION PLACE TO HAVE IT CHECKED SINCE THE CAR WOULD START AND REV, BUT NOT MOVE FORWARD. THE TRANSMISSION SHOP SAID THE CVT BELT PREMATURELY BROKE. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG VEHICLES WITH CVT TRANSMISSION, ESPECIALLY THE NISSAN MURANO'S. MY CAR HAS A LITTLE OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT. WITH THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS SAME ISSUE I'M SURPRISED NISSAN HAS NOT INITIATED A RECALL. THIS VEHICLE COULD HAVE FAILED ON THE HIGHWAY AND IS A VERY SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE.
FRAME AND TRACK LINKS BROKEN ON DRIVERS SEAT. IT ROCKS BACK AND FORTH NOT STABLE. SAFETY ISSUE. NOTICE IT WHEN I STOP OR ACCELERATE.
SUN VISA KEEP FALLING DOWN. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. EVERY MILE IT DROPS DOWN AT LEAST 10 TIMES. I HAVE TO TAPE IT. ALSO IT CAN NOT KEEP IN THE UP LOCATION WHEN I USE IT TO BLOCK SUN. IT SHOULD BE A RECALL SINCE IT IS VERY DANGEROUS AND SO MANY PEOPLE REPORT THIS PROBLEM.
2007 NISSAN MURANOS WERE PART OF A VOLUNTARY RECALL INVOLVING THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR. NISSAN STATES MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT PART OF THAT RECALL, HOWEVER, IT IS THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS THE RECALL FOR THE SAME MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR. AT THIS TIME THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT PUTING PASSENGERS AT RISK FOR INGURY OR POSSIBLE DEATH. THE VIN NUMBER SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (BOCH NISSAN SOUTH 685 S WASHINGTON ST, NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, MA 02760 (844) 464-3557) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE REAR SUBFRAME WAS ROTTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND WAS DEEMED UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING 2007 NISSAN MURANO AND WHEN I DRIVE THE VEHICLE FROM A STOP IT JERK VERY BADLY AND ISSUE IS WITH CVT TRANSMISSION. AS PER NISSAN DEALERSHIP THEY WILL TRY TO FIX THE CVT ISSUE BY CHANGING THE VALVE BODY AND IF THIS WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE THEN THEY WILL WORK ON CVT TRANSMISSION.
REAR SUB-FRAME OF THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND IS STARTED TO BREAK AWAY FROM THE CAR WHILE DRIVING. IT IS NOW UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN, NISSAN WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. THEY WERE VERY ABRUPT, RUDE AND NOT WILLING TO HELP IN ANY WAY.
THE REAR SUB FRAME HAS RUSTED OUT, CAUSING THE CONTROL ARM TO SNAP WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE RESULTING IN THE VEHICLE BEING TOWED.
OVERHEATING SHUTTING OFF VERY DANGEROUS RECALL IS NEEDED IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE RECALL
AIR BAG LIGHTS ARE BLINKING AFTER A PERSON IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WAS MOVING AROUND IN THE SEAT. I HAD IT CHECKED AT A BODY SHOP AND A CODE CAME UP (B 1049). DETECTS A AIR BAG DIAGNOSIS SENSOR AND (OR) AIR BAG MODULE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING WHEN THE LIGHT CAME ON. I DON'T REMEMBER IF THE CAR WAS IN MOTION OR NOT.
THE CAR WAS PARKED AND IT DID NOT START AT ALL.. HAPPENED TWICE IN ONE MONTH. HAD TO BE TOWED, TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THEY DIDNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG BECAUSE THE CAR WAS WORKING OK. AND THIS ALSO CAN HAPPENED WHEN I WAS DRIVING MY CAR. THE CAR STOP WORKING NO LIGHTS NO BRAKES NOTHING WAS WORKING. TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND THE SAME THING. THE CAR WAS WORKING AGAIN. ALSO I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM NISSAN SAYING THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH A PART THAT DOESNOT LET YOU FILL UP YOUR GAS TANK AND THEY SAID THAT THEY HAVE EXTENDED THE WARRANTY FOR THIS PART BUT THEY CANNOT REPLACED IT UNTIL YOU HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED BECAUSE IT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY MANUFACTURER RECALL CAMPAIGNS. THE MANUFACTURER ONLY ISSUED ONE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING THE STRUCTURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A FRONT END ALIGNMENT, BUT IT COULD NOT BE PERFORMED DUE TO THE RUST. THE SUBFRAME NEEDED TO BE REPLACED TO ALIGN THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. *TT *TR
I BROUGHT MY CAR TO REED NISSAN TO BE DIAGNOSED BECAUSE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. THEY DIAGNOSED THE CAR AND SAID THAT A FEW THINGS NEEDED FIXING AND WHEN FIX THE LIGHT WILL BE GONE. I PAID TO FIX THE CAR AND WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME THE CHECK EGINE LIGHT CAME BACK. I CALLED BACK AND SPOKE TO MY SERVUCE ADVISOR WHO TOLD ME TO BRING BACK THE CAR TO BE RE DIAGNOSED. THE FINDING WAS ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT APPARENTLY DIDNT SHOW UP BECAUSE OF HOW LONG THE CAR TOOK TO BE FIX. I AGREE TO REPLACED WHAT THEY QUOTE ME THE PRICE FOR BUT INSTEAD I GOT THE OPPOSITE. THEY REPLACED WHAT THEY WANTED TO AND DISNT REPLACE EVERYTHING THEY AGREED TO REPLACE BUT I STILL HAD TONPAY ALL THE MONEY THAT WAS AGREED ON EVENTHOUGH I DIDNT GET ALL THE WORK DONE THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE. TODAY MY CAR RADIATOR BLEW AND THEY SAY THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR IT A WEEK AFTWR I FIX MY CAR WITH THEM. THERE WAS ALSO A CRACK IN MY ENGINE COVER AND A SCREW MISSING TO KEEP IT TIGHT. MY RADIATOR COVER SCREWS WERE ALSO MISSING. I APOD MY MONEY AND DIDNT GET THE JOB THAT THEY TOLD ME I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET. WHRN I SPOKE TO THE MANAGER THEY GIVE ME ALL THESE STORIES AND WERE NOT TAKING ANY BLAMES FOR ANYTHING. THE TECH WHO WORKED ON MY CAR SAID HE DIDNT BROKE MY ENGINE COVER AND THAT THE SCREW WAS MISSING SO HE LEFT IT THE SAME WAY. AS A TECHNICIAN YOU WORK ON SOMEONE CAR ENGINE AND DID NOT REPLACE THE SCREW AND BROKE MY COVER AND LIED ABOUT IT AND OF COURSE NISSAN BACKS HIM EVENTHOUGH HE WAS WRING AND WAS LYING. THE MANAGER WALKED AWAY WITHOUT EVEN SAYING A WORD TO US ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING TO BE THE OUTCOME AND WHEN I APPROACH HIM ABOUT THIS MATTER HE PRETEND AS IF HE WASNT BEING RUDE BY SAYING HE SAW WE WERE ALREADY BEING TAKEN CARE OF MY THE TECH AND SERVICE MANAGER SO HE EXCUSED HIMSELF. THIS IS HOW THEY OPERATE AT REED NISSAN. THEY ARE REED NISSAN ON WEST COLONIAL DRIVE IN ORLANDO FLORIDA. NASTY.
MY HUSBAND AND I BOUGHT OUR 2007 NISSAN MURANO 1 YEAR AGO. THE CAR DROVE GREAT FOR THE PAST YEAR UNTIL MARCH 11, 2017. WHILE DRIVING TO A MOVIE, THE CAR MADE A VERY UNUSUAL SOUND, SIMILAR TO A LOUD FLAT TIRE AND THE CAR LOST POWER ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY. THANKFULLY, WE WERE ABLE TO PUT ON OUR HAZARDS, AND WE BARELY MADE IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY HUSBAND TOOK A LOOK AT THE BACK OF THE CAR WHERE THE SOUND WAS COMING FROM, AND HE NOTICED A CRACK IN THE REAR END UNDER THE CAR. OF COURSE, WE HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE NEAREST SHOP. THE MECHANIC HAS NOW REPORTED TO US THAT THE TRANSFER CASE WAS CRACKED AND IT SEIZED UP. THE MECHANIC ALSO TOLD US THAT THERE IS A CRACK IN THE FRONT END AS WELL. THE MECHANIC IS POSITIVE THAT THE FAULTY TRANSFER CASE HAS CAUSED THE CRACK IN THE REAR END AND THE FRONT END OF THE CAR, THESE ARE CRACKS IN THE REAR END OF THE POWER TRAIN AND FRONT END OF THE POWER TRAIN. THE TOTAL COST TO FIX THIS VEHICLE IS ESTIMATED AT $ 6000.00. THIS IS APPALLING AFTER RESEARCHING THE ISSUE; A FAULTY TRANSFER CASE IS COMMON AMONG THE 2007 NISSAN MURANO'S. THIS COULD HAVE CAUSED A SEVERE ACCIDENT, AS WE LOST POWER ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY AND A CAR HAD TO SWERVE OUT OF THE WAY TO MISS US. I PRAY THAT SOMETHING WILL BE DONE ABOUT THIS. A 6000.00 DOLLAR SET BACK IS BEYOND OUR MEANS, AND WE HAVE TO SCRAPE AT EVERYTHING TO GET THE MONEY, WE HAVE FOUR CHILDREN WHO COULD HAVE USED THAT MONEY FOR THINGS THEY NEEDED. NOW INSTEAD OF CHICKEN OR ROAST FOR DINNER, IT WILL BE ROMAN NOODLES. THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
INTAKE BOOT SEPARATES FROM THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THE ENGINE STALLS. THIS CAN AND HAS HAPPENED TO ME AT FREEWAY SPEEDS. TOTAL LOSS OF POWER AND CONTROL. MECHANIC HAS WORKED ON IT REPEATEDLY AND IT KEEPS COMING OFF. AT BEST IT WILL STAY IN PLACE FOR A COUPLE MONTHS BEFORE IT COMES OFF AGAIN WITH NO WARNING. TOLD MY CAR IS NOT COVERED BY RECALL BUT HAVE EXACT SAME PROBLEM DESCRIBED IN RECALL.
