I've ran out of gas twice my indicator the gas tank gauge does not show that the vehicle is empty it shows it's full and then I run out of gas on the side of the road almost get hit by cars trying to get to gas station to get more gas in the middle of traffic very dangerous have my daughter with me trying to push my vehicle out of the way so I don't get hit apparently it's a recall that says mine was done but it's not done because it's still having problems I am the third owner of mine so I think it was mislabeled as completed if that's the case then how do I know any of these recalls have been done properly

The contact stated that the company owns a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the fuel gauge displayed a full tank, then suddenly displayed that the fuel was empty, improperly displaying the fuel level. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who determined that the fuel level sensor was high causing the fuel pump to fail. The contact was informed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 130,000.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact became aware of transmission failure during the gear shifting. The contact stated that the gear shifter would remain in neutral. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 128,364.
I was hit on the drivers side, where the front drivers door stops and the back door begins. The other drivers was estimated at going 50-60 mph. My car spun and rolled over 360 degrees. None of the airbags deployed. The sheriff, ambulance, firefighters all told me to report it. The car was totaled at the scene so unfortunately no inspections were able to be made. There were not warning lights previous to the accident.
Car shuts off In the middle of driving & also when simply parked. It starts jerking like it’s trying to catch up then it kills. It’s happened in front of traffic and busy roadways/intersections. It has happened more than once.
Transmission oil cooler line in radiator broke causing coolant and transmission oil to mix and car is not driveable and needs $3,000 repairs
UNKNOWN. Every time I drive above 50 mph the car vibrates hard and it’s audible. It feels like the engine. I had it checked out by two mechanics but they couldn’t figure it out. I had my wheels balanced, bought new tires at the mechanic suggestion. That hasn’t helped. I’m not sure if this is safe to drive and it doesn’t make me feel safe. This has been going on for months. Please let me know if they’re similar complaints and what I should do about it. Thank you
.Transmission failed do to coolant in transmission. .got stuck in traffic and couldn’t go anywhere .this is a known problem with these vehicles .vehicle has been inspected by owner who is a mechanic .there were no warning signs
THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING A LITTLE LET FOR US WHEN I START FROM THE STOP SIGN OR FROM A DEAD STOP WHEN THE ENGINE IS COOL AND I 1ST STOP IT RUNS FINE FOR THE 1ST MINUTE OR 2 BUT THEN AS I'M DRIVING ALL OF SUDDEN IT START SLIPPING REAL BAD IF I'M IN REGULAR DRIVE WOULD YOU OVERDRIVE ON WHICH IN 5TH GEAR CANNOT GO ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER 55 MILES AN HOUR AND JUST THAT SLIPPING REAL BAD UNLESS I PUT IT IN 4TH GEAR BY TAKING THE OVERDRIVE OFF DANIEL RIDE OKAY FOR A WHILE BUT IT'S SOON AS I GO TO A STOP SIGN OR I STOPPED THE VEHICLE TAKING OFF IT'S SLIP SO BAD IT ALMOST IS NOT MOVE AT ALL ONCE YOU GET SOME MOVING AND RUNS NOT TOO BAD BUT THE LONGER I DRIVE IT TO WHERE SHE GETS UNTIL I SHUT IT OFF COOLED OFF AND THEN IT WORKS AGAIN FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES
TIMMING CHAIN IS MAKING A BAD NOISE.
TRANSMISSION ISSUE DUE TO LEAK MIXTURE OR RADIATOR FLUIDS. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM
RADIATOR FLUID GOING INTO THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING THE TCM FAIL
THE VEHICLE WILL NOT SHIFT GEARS DUE TO COOLANT IN THE TRANSMISSION. THIS HAS ESSENTIALLY RUINED THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE RADIATOR FAILING AND ALLOWING COOLANT INTO THE TRANSMISSION VIA THE TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLANT LINES THAT RUN THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR.
TO ADD TO MY PREVIOUS COMPLAINT MY TRANSMISSION TOTALLY WENT OUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO MY MOMS FRIENDS HOUSE. I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE IT TO GET PLACES I NEED TO GO.
I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER AND I WAS DRIVING TO THE DOCTOR AND THERE WAS A SHUDDER. I DIDN'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS UNTIL I DID SOME RESEARCH WHICH EXPLAINS THERE ARE A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH NISSAN TRANSMISSIONS IN GENERAL. I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT DUE TO BEING ON A FIXED INCOME. I'M PAYING PAYMENTS ON IT AND ALSO INSURANCE WHICH I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE IT. I NEED MY VEHICLE TO GET PLACES I NEED TO GET. I'M NOT SURE WHAT TO DO. I REALLY BELIEVE NISSAN SHOULD RECALL TRANSMISSIONS AND FIX THEM.

THE TRANSMISSION IS SHUTTERING, FEELS LIKE IT IS SLIPPING AT TIMES. THE COOLANT LOOKS LIKE CREAMY PASTE. THE SUV WANTS TO BOUNCE OR PULL TO THE SIDES. ALSO AT TIMES IT FEELS LIKE THE MOTOR IS RUNNING HIGH AND THE VEHICLE WILL MOVE SLOW.
LATELY, MY 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER HAS BEEN STALLING OR SHUTTING DOWN WHILE I AM DRIVING MY VEHICLE. I AM NOT SURE WHY, BUT EVERYTHING STAYS ON AND RUNS FINE, IT IS JUST THAT THE VEHICLE WILL NOT MOVE. I HAVE TO MOVE MY CAR TO THE SIDE, IF I CAN GET IT THERE ON TIME, AND TURN IT OFF. THEN I WAIT A COUPLE OF SECONDS AND START IT BACK IT. AT TIMES, AFTER THE STARTUP, THE CAR WILL RUN FINE, BUT AT OTHER TIMES, I WILL BE ABLE TO DRIVE FOR A LITTLE BIT AND THEN MY CAR STALLS AGAIN OR DIES DOWN. I ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE FUEL SENSOR. IT DOES NOT WORK AND THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT MY VEHICLE DOES NOT FALL INTO THE RECALL, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER FUEL SENSON RECALL. I HAVE ALWAYS CAUSED NUMEROUS ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF MY VEHICLE STALLING OR RUNNING OUT OF GAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY BECAUSE MY FUEL LEVER DOES NOT WORK BECAUSE OF THE FUEL SENSOR.
MY TIMING CHAIN ON MY PATHFINDER HAS BEEN DEFECTIVE. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN NOISY BUT A FEW WEEKS AGO IT REALLY STARTED GETTING LOUD WHILE DRIVING IN MOTION AROUND . I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A SHOP AS TEETH WERE FALLING OFF THE 'CHAIN' INTO THE OIL. THEY SAY IT IS A KNOWN THING WITH 2005-2010 PATHFINDERS .
I WAS DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE AT NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEED WHEN THE CAR SHUDDERED AS IF GOING OVER ROUGH PAVEMENT. THE ENGINE STARTED RACING, BUT THE CAR GRADUALLY LOST FORWARD PROPULSION. I STEERED TO THE EMERGENCY LANE AND STOPPED. AFTER A MINUTE, THE CAR REGAINED JUST ENOUGH FORWARD MOTION TO GET ME TO THE NEXT EXIT, ACROSS AN INTERSECTION (WHERE THE LIGHT JUST HAPPENED TO BE GREEN, THANK GOODNESS), AND INTO THE PARKING LOT OF A LARGE GROCERY STORE BEFORE THE VEHICLE LOST ALL PROPULSION. WE PUSHED THE CAR THE LAST FEW FEET INTO A PARKING SPOT. IT WAS TOWED TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD THE NEXT DAY THAT THE TRANSMISSION WARMER HAD FAILED, ALLOWING RADIATOR COOLANT TO LEAK INTO THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH RUINED THE TRANSMISSION. THE REPAIR WOULD COST $6000. I CANNOT PUT ANOTHER $6000 INTO A 13-YEAR-OLD VEHICLE, EVEN THOUGH I'VE ONLY HAD IT FOR FIVE MONTHS, SO NOW I'VE LOST THE MONEY I PUT INTO IT AND WILL HAVE TO START OVER WITH ANOTHER VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY OR THE CITY STREET, THE CAR STARTED TO JERK AND THEN SUDDENLY CUT OFF AND LOSE POWER. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST FIVE TIMES AT NORMAL HIGHWAY AND FREEWAY SPEEDS IN A STRAIGHT FORWARD MOTION. WHILE ON THE FREEWAY, I WAS ABLE TO GLIDE OVER TO STOP THE CAR AND RESTART IT. THE CAR STARTS RIGHT BACK UP AND IS DRIVABLE.THE LAST TIME WAS ON THE CITY STREET, I WAS GOING ABOUT 35-40MPH AND THE CAR AGAIN JERKS AND THE ENGINE CUTS OFF AND LOOSES POWER. HOWEVER, THIS TIME THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP PREVENTING ME TO GET OVER. I HAD TO STOP THE CAR BY BREAKING DIRECTLY IN THE LANE NEARLY CAUSING CARS TO SLAM INTO ME. AGAIN, ONCE I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK I AM ABLE TO START THE ENGINE AND DRIVE AGAIN. AFTER THIS FIRST HAPPENED, I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A TUNE-UP, OIL CHANGE, AND A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BUT NOTHING READ AS AN ERROR. I DO NOT DRIVE FAR DISTANCES JUST MAINLY AROUND TOWN AND HAVE RECEIVED REGULAR MAINTENANCE ON MY VEHICLE. I AM NOW AFRAID TO DRIVE MY CAR BECAUSE THE LOSE OF POWER DOES NOT HAPPEN CONSISTENTLY BUT IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN IT DOES AND CAN DEFINITELY CAUSE AN ACCIDENT/INJURY/DEATH IF SOMEONE IS DRIVING TOO CLOSE. I LOOKED UP RECALLS AND FOUND RECALL10V517000. IT SAYS THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2004-2006 NISSAN PATHFINDERS BUT MY VIN # IS NOT EXCEPTED. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FOR THIS MATTER BECAUSE I DO NOT FEEL SAFE FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS WHILE DRIVING
TRANSMISSION IS FAILING QUICKLY. I HAD TO REPLACE MY RADIATOR A FEW MONTHS AGO BECAUSE IT CRACKED. THAT EVENT LEFT MY WIFE AND CHILDREN STRANDED ON THE INTERSTATE.
RADIATOR FAILED CAUSING LEAK OF RADIATOR FLUID INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING VEHICLE TO BE TOWED TO AUTO SHOP. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY AND THEN WOULD ALL OF THE SUDDEN NO LONGER ACCELERATE. MECHANICS, (GOT 3 ESTIMATES) ALL SAID SAME THING; THAT THIS WAS A PROBLEM WITH THESE PATHFINDERS. MY COST IS ABOUT 6,500. I HAD JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE FOR 8,500 ABOUT 3 WEEKS PRIOR.
AT APPROXIMATELY 135000 MILES MY PATHFINDER BEGAN MAKING A A GRINDING SOUND WHEN I TURNED MY STEERING WHEEL LEFT OR RIGHT. I ALSO NOTICED THAT THE ACTUAL STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE AND COULD BE MOVED BACK AND FORTH. WITHIN A FEW DAYS I BEGAN HAVING GREAT DIFFICULTY WHEN MAKING TURNS WHILE DRIVING. I HAD MY HUSBAND CHECK THE STEERING FLUID, WHICH WAS AT THE RECOMMENDED LEVEL. I THEN TOOK MY PATHFINDER TO THE MECHANIC TO BE INSPECTED AND FIND THE ROOT OF THE STEERING PROBLEM. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY STEERING COLUMN WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE NISSAN FRONTIER AND XTERRA HAS RECALLS FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE FOR THE SAME YEAR, BUT NOT THE PATHFINDER. I HAVE 3 CHILDREN WHO TRAVEL REGULARLY WITH ME IN MY VEHICLE. I WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC, THAT EVENTUALLY I WOULD LOSE ALL STEERING CAPABILITY IF THE STEERING COLUMN IN NOT REPLACED I FIND THIS TO BE GROSS NEGLIGENCE ON BEHALF OF NISSAN. MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE HAVE BEEN MADE, AND YET NO RECALL?! THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE, WHICH COULD PUT NOT ONLY MINE, BUT MY CHILDREN'S LIVES AT RISK. THE REPLACEMENT COST IS AROUND $1500. I HOPE NISSAN DOES THE RIGHT THING AND ISSUES A RECALL SOON.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE IN REVERSE, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO INITIALLY STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP MALFUNCTIONED. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP, BUT THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CRANK. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC STATED THAT THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE FAILED. HEADQUARTER NISSAN (1725 WHITTLESEY RD, COLUMBUS, GA 31904, (706) 225-8100) INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED WITH THE DEALER AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED PER AN UNKNOWN RECALL IN 2011 AND COULD NOT ASSIST. THE CONTACT PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LESS THAN A YEAR AGO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED, BUT WAS ABLE TO RESTART. ADDITIONALLY, THE VEHICLE RANDOMLY REVVED UP AND ACCELERATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S DYNAMIC CONTROL SLIP OFF, SERVICE ENGINE SOON, AND WASHER FLUID WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 37003562. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 175,000.
THERE IS A SYSTEM DESIGN FLAW WITH THE 05-10 NISSAN TRUCKS; PATHFINDER, FRONTIER, XTERRA. THE RADIATOR HOUSES BOTH COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID. WHEN THE RADIATOR FAILS, IT LEADS TO COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID MIXING; RESULTING IN CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AND PREMATURE DESTRUCTION OF THE TRANSMISSION. OUR TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION AFTER THE ORIGINAL TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 89K MILES. AFTER THE NEW TRANSMISSION WAS PUT IN, THE TRANSMISSION WAS DESTROYED AT 90K MILES AND THE ISSUE WAS TRACED BACK TO A CRACKED/RUPTURED RADIATOR; LEADING TO MIXING OF COOLANT AND RADIATOR FLUID WHICH IN TURN RUINED THE TRANSMISSION. THE COST OF THE INITIAL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT WAS $6000; THE ESTIMATED COST OF REPLACING THE TRANSMISSION AGAIN ALONG WITH THE RADIATOR AND FLUSHING THE SYSTEM AND REPLACING THE FLUIDS IS $8000. IN BOTH INSTANCES OF TRANSMISSION FAILURE, IT HAPPENED DURING DRIVING CONDITIONS ON A HIGHWAY WITHOUT SYMPTOMS OF TRANSMISSION ISSUES. THE WORST PART OF THIS IS NOT THE COST. THE WORST PART IS THAT THIS KNOWN ISSUE ON NISSAN TRUCKS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLASSIFIED AS A RECALL ISSUE BECAUSE THE FAILURE CAN HAPPEN ANYTIME, ESPECIALLY DURING DRIVING CONDITIONS AND HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE A CRASH, SERIOUS INJURY, OR DEATH.
FUEL READ EMPTY AT THE GAUGE EVEN IF FUEL TANK IS FULL. ENGINE CHECK LIGHT IS ALSO LIT
MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY STARTED TO HAVE A DELAY IN ACCELERATION WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS PUSHED, AND THEN WOULD CATCH AND LURCH FORWARD. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE TRANSMISSION INNER COOLER RUPTURED AND HAS RUINED BOTH THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION. FURTHER RESEARCH INDICATES THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE THAT NISSAN HAS FAILED TO ACCURATELY ADVISE OWNERS ABOUT, OR ISSUE A RECALL. THIS IS NEGLIGENT AND WHOLLY UNETHICAL. NEGLIGENT IN THAT THE SYMPTOMS COULD LEAD TO SERIOUS HARM OUT INJURY, AS THERE IS NO WARNING PRIOR TO THE DAMAGE BEING DONE. UNETHICAL IN THAT NOW NISSAN GETS TO PROFIT FROM THEIR NEGLIGENCE, AS IT WILL COST $5,000 TO REMEDY WHAT COULD AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH LESS COSTLY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE "OVERHEATED" WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE FAILED START. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DETERMINED THAT THE RADIATOR FAILED AND CAUSED COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID TO MIX. IN ADDITION, THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILED. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE ENGINE HAD TO BE REBUILT AND A NEW RADIATOR NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,270.
CAR OVERHEATED/NO START, HAD SUV TOLLED TO AUTO REPAIR SHOP WAS TOLD BY TECHICIAN WAS TOLD THE FOLLOWING. RADIATOR FAILED CAUSING COOLANT AND TRANS FLUID TO MIX. TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILED CAUSING VEHICLE NOT TO START.
WHILE DRIVING CAR WOULD ACT AS IF IT WERE GOING TO SHUT OFF..WE WERE NEVER INFORMED OF RECALLS AND WE BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW WE TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST AND WAS INFORMED RADIATOR WAS LEAKING ON TRANSMISSION AND WE WOULD REQUIRE UP TO $3,500 FOR REPAIRS WHICH INCLUDED A USED TRANSMISSION

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF AN UNKNOWN RECALL RELATED TO THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO MODERN NISSAN OF WINSTON-SALEM (5795 UNIVERSITY PKWY, WINSTON-SALEM, NC 27105, (336) 767-8260) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
MY PROBLEM IS WITH THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION FLUID CONTAMINATION.. SOME HOSES INSIDE THE RADIATOR THAT CARRIES TRANSMISSION FLUID AND COOLANT CRACKED AND CONTAMINATED BOTH THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION. THIS PROBLEM HAS CAUSED MY VEHICLE TO LOCK INTO 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND CONTAMINATED BOTH MY RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION THIS PROBLEM WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED BEFORE THE VEHICLE CAN BE DRIVEN. IT WILL BE A COSTLY REPAIR THAT SHOULD BE COVERED BY NISSAN ON A RECALL ACCORDING TO ALL THE COMPLAINTS I HAVE READ ABOUT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS NOT WORKING. NORMALLY, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WOULD DISPLAY HOW MANY MILES REMAINED UNTIL FUEL WAS NEEDED ACCORDING TO THE FUEL AMOUNT. EVER SINCE THE FAILURE BEGAN APPROXIMATELY THREE MONTHS AGO, THE CONTACT WAS REFUELING THE VEHICLE MORE OFTEN SINCE THE FUEL TO MILEAGE SYSTEM FAILED. THE DEALER (DARTMOUTH NISSAN, 83 S STATE ROAD, NORTH DARTMOUTH, MASSACHUSETTS) WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WOULD BE A DIAGNOSTIC FEE. DUE TO THE FEE, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 185,000.
TRANSMISSION HAS WENT OUT DUE TO FACTORY DEFAULT THERE'S A RECALL ON THE EXACT ISSUE THAT I'M HAVING WITH MY CAR I NEED TO KNOW IF THERE'S AN EXTENDED WARRANTY OR SOMETHING TO REMEDY THIS BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE
RADIATOR MALFUNCTION CRACKED TRANSMISSION LINES, MIXING ANTIFREEZE INTO THE TRANSMISSION LINES, CONTAMINATED THE TRANSMISSION, THE TRANSMISSION IS RUINED! NEVER INFORMED ABOUT THIS DEFECT IN THE RADIATOR! NEVER NO RECALL!
COOLANT LEAKS INTO TRANSMISSION. THIS RUINED THE TRANSMISSION AND SHOULD BE RECALLED.
CATASTROPHIC TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR FAILURE DUE TO CO-MINGLING ATF AND COOLANT AT 136,000 MILES. CONTACTED NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, THEY REFUSED TO HELP IN ANY WAY, BUT ACKNOWLEDGED THIS AS A "KNOWN" ISSUE.
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WHEN OUT IF NOWHERE IT GOT SLIGHTLY SHAKY RUMBLY FEELING AND THEN IT UP SHIFTED VERY VERY HARD AND REDLINED THE VEHICLE SO I HIT BRAKES AND GOT PULLED OVER AND TURNED IT OFF. I GOT IT TOWED BACK HOME AND THEN NEXT DAY TOWED TO SHOP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE RADIATOR MALFUNCTIONED AND IT HAD BASICLY DRAINED ANTIFREEZE INTO MY TRANSMISSION. SAID THAT PROBLEM IS NOTORIOUS FOR THESE VEHICLES AND THAT I WOULD NEED NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR NOW.
I WAS DRIVING ON HWY AND I WENT TO GO AROUND A CURVE AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP I WENT OFF THE ROAD AND CAME TO A STOP LOOKING UP AT THE BRIDGE. WHEN I WENT OFF THE ROAD MY TRUCK HIT A HILL (IT HIT AROUND BY MY RADIATOR) MY TRUCK THEN FLIPPED AND THEN HIT ANOTHER HILL (HIT BY MY RADIATOR AGAIN) AND CAME TO A STOP. MY AIRBAG DIDNT NOT DEPLOY UNTIL MY TRUCK STOP MOVING. AND MY SEAT BELT DID NOT LOCK ME IN PLACE. I WAS SLUNG AROUND MY FRONT SEAT. I HAD TO TRY TO HOLD MYSELF IN MY SEAT WITH MY LEGS (PUSHING UP ON MY STEERING WHEEL) I HIT MY HEAD ON MY STEERING WHEEL, MY WINDOW AND MY ROOF.I HAVE A CRACKED FEMUR FROM MY STEERING WHEEL. AND 2 COMPRESSED DISKS IN MY BACK.. WHEN I REALIZED MY TRUCK WASNT TURNING INTO THE CURVE I HIT MY BRAKES BUT IT DIDNT DO ANYTHING BC MY TIRES CAME OFF THE GROUND AND WHEN IT STOPPED I WAS ON THE CREEK BANK.
THE RADIATOR HAS BROKEN AND LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING A COMPLETE FAILURE IN THE SYSTEM. BOTH MUST NOW BE REPLACED.
ALL 4 OF MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED (OR NEED TO BE REPLACED - I'VE ALREADY REPLACED BANK 1. NOW BANK 2 IS BAD) IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS OR SO AND NOW MY RADIATOR IS LEAKING INTO MY TRANSMISSION. I DISCOVERED THERE WAS A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT ON THE RADIATOR/TRANSMISSION ISSUE, BUT I'M OUTSIDE OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. WITH RESPECT TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTERS, I OCCASIONALLY SMELL EXHAUST, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS STAY ON. WITH THE TRANSMISSION, IT STARTED OUT AS GEAR SLIPPING, CAUSING ROUGH DRIVING (WHICH THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER). THEN, IT STARTED RUNNING SLOW OUT OF FIRST GEAR AND HARD SHIFTING. I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION PLACE THAT PULLED TRANSMISSION CODES AND WHEN THEY DROPPED THE PAN, THE FLUID LOOKED LIKE A MILKSHAKE. THE ROUGH DRIVING/GEARS SLIPPING DIDN'T MATTER - IT COULD BE ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN THE CITY. I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT DATE IN 2018 THAT I HAD THE ISSUE, BUT I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE FOR A YEAR.
THE SCANNER IS SHOWING DTC P0463 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR "A" CIRCUIT HIGH. WHY MOST CAR ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE AND MINE HAS NOT? THIS PROBLEM IS PREVENTING THE SYSTEM FROM SHOWING THE ACTUAL FUEL LEVEL AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF THE ENGINE FAILS AND STOP. PLEASE ADVISE.
HAVE A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER SE, WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH THE CAR SHUT OFF AND I LOST TOTAL POWER OF THE CAR AND THANKFULLY WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER WITHOUT GETTING KILLED. THIS HAS HAPPENED 2X I LOOS TOTAL POWER AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF. I CALLED NISSAN TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL AND THEY SAID NO, HOWEVER THERE IS A RECALL #10V517000 WHICH NISSAN SAYS MY CAR IS NOT INVOLVED IN THAT ADVISED THIS MODEL HAD A RECALL FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM HAVING THE ENGINE SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING IT. IF THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS VERY REASON AND I HAVE THE MAKE & MODEL WHILE NISSAN WILL NOT INVESTIGATE WHY THIS IS HAPPENED AS IT IS A DIRECT SAFETY PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD TAKE IT INTO NISSAN FOR THEM TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS OF COURSE AT MY EXPENSE.
MY HUSBAND HAS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS AND RAN OUT OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO A FAULTY READING ON THE GAS GAUGE. HE HAD TO WALK FROM THE HIGHWAY IN RECORD LOW COLD TO THE GAS STATION WITH HIS DISABILITY IN THE COLD WEATHER TO GET GAS AND BACK. THE DEALER STATES OUR TRUCK IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND BELIEVE THIS TO BE UNFAIR. IF THIS IS A KNOW RECALL IT SHOULD BE FIX AND SHOULD NOT MATTER IF YOUR VEHICLE WAS LISTED AS THE CARS AFFECTED ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A KNOW ISSUE. HE COULD HAVE DIED!
FUEL GAUGE WAS READING INCORRECT AND I AM AWARE THAT THERE IS NHSTA RECAL ID 10V075000. THE CHEC ENGINE LIGHT WAS ACTIVATED AND I HAD TO GET IT REPAIRED IN ORDER TO GET AN INSPECTION STICKER IN MASSACHUSETTS.
