THE TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS CONTAMINATED BECAUSE THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE RADIATOR. THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE 112,781 MILES. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH NISSAN PATHFINDERS. NISSAN EXTENDED COVERAGE UP TO 100,000 MILES. THE RADIATOR SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED AND ALL OWNERS SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, DIAGNOSTIC FOR AUTO TRANS SENSOR. MECHANIC FLUSHED TRANSMISSION THEN COULDN'T REPLACE SENSOR DUE TO ON GOING PROBLEM WITH RADIATOR LEAKING COOLANT TO TRANSMISSION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS STARTED, THE FUEL GAUGE DISPLAYED INCORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,200.
COOLANT LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION, DESTROYING THE TRANSMISSION, AND RENDERING VEHICLE USELESS WITHOUT THOUSANDS IN REPAIRS
RIGHT AFTER PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY POWER SPRAYED THE ENGINE, SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE. A FEW DAYS LATER, VEHICLE IS KNOCKING. TOOK IT BACK, RADIATOR FLUID WAS IN TRANS. REPLACED RADIATOR AND FLUSHED TRANS. WEEK LATER, SAME THING NOW WORSE. CAR IS KNOCKING LOAD ESPECIALLY AFTER HITTING 40 MPH. SOMETIMES IT WONT PASS 40MPH.
WE HAVE A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER THAT HAS TRANSMISSION FAILURE DUE TO A DEFECTIVE RADIATOR. THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT THAT NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR. WE FOLLOWED ALL RECOMMENDED MAINTENANCE, MOST OF WHICH WAS AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THE DEALERSHIP WAS NEGLIGENT IN ITS INSPECTION AND REPAIR OF OUR VEHICLE. WHEN WE BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND HAD BOTH TRANSMISSION AND COOLANT CONTAMINATION, THEY FAILED TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. TWO NISSAN DEALERSHIP INSPECTIONS IN MAY 2016 OUTLINED THAT ALL WAS WELL WITH OUR VEHICLE, EVEN AFTER WE FOUND THAT THERE WAS NO TRANSMISSION FLUID ON OUR DIPSTICK, AND IT DID NOT APPEAR THAT THE BOLT TO CHECK THE FLUID HAD NOT BEEN RECENTLY REMOVED. OUR FAMILY'S SAFETY WAS PUT AT RISK DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR OVER A MONTH, WHILE IT WAS EXPERIENCING TRANSMISSION FAILURE AND RISKED ENGINE FAILURE DUE TO HEAVILY CONTAMINATED COOLANT. AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF SYMPTOMS, WE LOOKED ONLINE AND WERE SHOCKED TO SEE THE WIDESPREAD MANUFACTURING DEFECT THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED. WE TOOK OUR TRUCK TO AN INDEPENDENT SHOP WHO DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM. THE NISSAN WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED TO 10 YEARS OR 160,000 KILOMETERS FOR POSSIBLE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY FAILURE. ALTHOUGH OUR VEHICLE FELL WITHIN THE 10 YEAR TIME FRAME, WE WERE OUTSIDE THE KILOMETER RANGE BY 40,000 KILOMETERS. NISSAN CANADA AND CROWN NISSAN REFUSED TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY TO US. WE FEEL THE 160,000 KM IS FAR TOO LOW FOR A 10 YEAR WARRANTY. A RECENT DODGE WARRANTY EXTENSION WAS 10 YRS, 240,000 KM. NISSAN PUT US IN AN UNSAFE SITUATION, WHERE THEY FAILED TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM AND WE WERE OUT DRIVING FOR SEVERAL WEEKS, SOME OF WHICH INVOLVED TOWING OUR FAMILY CAMPER ON THE HIGHWAYS. NISSAN HAS BEEN NEGLIGENT ON MANY LEVELS AND A RECALL SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO THESE FAULTY RADIATORS.
DEFECTIVE RADIATOR FROM NISSAN, DROPPED FLUID INTO THE TRANSMISSION. AS A RESULT, BOTH THE TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR HAD TO BE REPLACED. IF THE RADIATOR WAS DEFECTED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD STILL BE IN TACT. THIS HAPPENED JUST REACHING THE 100,000 MILE MARK.
TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAKED INTO TRANSMISSION CAUSING TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR FAILURE. WAS ON MAINROAD AT TIME AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO MECHANICS WHERE UPON LEARNING THIS IS A TYPICAL ISSUE FOR THESE VEHICLES. CANNOT DRIVE VEHICLE AND REPAIRS ARE VERY COSTLY.
TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED DUE TO COOLANT FROM THE RADIATOR LEAKING INTO TRANSMISSION.
WHILE ACCELERATING TO GET ONTO AN ENTRANCE TO I-95 MY CAR BEGAN TO VIBRATE AT ABOUT 40 MPH AND MAKE A ROARING NOISE. THE NOISE WENT AWAY AT ABOUT 50 MPH. WHEN I TOOK IT TO MY MECHANIC HE SAID THE PROBLEM WAS AN KNOWN ISSUE THAT NISSAN HAD INVOLVING THE TRANSMISSION COOLANT LEAKING INTO THE TRANSMISSION AND RUINING IT. HE EXPLAINED THAT NISSAN HAD OFFERED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY UP TO 80,000 MILES. MY CAR HAS 98,000. NISSAN HAS KNOWN ABOUT THEIR DEFECTIVE RADIATORS LEAKING INTO THE TRANSMISSIONS SINCE 2013 AND DID NOT ISSUE A RECALL. I FEEL LIKE IT IS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM FOR FREE. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO TRADE THE CAR IN NO ONE WANTED IT IN TRADE BECAUSE OF THE KNOWN ISSUES. I AM ON A FIXED INCOME AND CAN NOT AFFORD THIS COSTLY REPAIR OR A NEW VEHICLE. NISSAN HAD LEFT US HIGH AND DRY AND PLAN TO DO NOTHING TO HELP FIX A PROBLEM THAT THEY KNEW EXISTED. THIS IS CRIMINAL! THEY HAVE CHEATED US AND IGNORED NISSAN OWNERS DEALING WITH THIS PROBLEM. I WANT MY CAR FIXED BEFORE IT GETS TO 100,000 MILES IN CASE THEY CALL A CUT OFF AT THAT MILEAGE AGAIN! THEY ARE TOTALLY AT FAULT AND RESPONSIBLE FOR CHEATING PEOPLE OUT OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS DOLLARS AND THE ARE GETTING AWAY WITH IT. MY CAR IS PARKED AND I CAN'T DRIVE IT FOR FEAR OF GOING OVER 100,000 MILES OR BREAKING DOWN COMPLETELY ON THE HIGHWAY AND HAVING A FATAL ACCIDENT. I HAVE HAD TO BORROW MY SON'S CAR TO GO ANY WHERE I NEED TO GO. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING AND TOTALLY UNFAIR THAT I EVEN HAVE TO WRITE THIS COMPLAINT SINCE NISSAN ADMITS THAT THOUSANDS OF THEIR VEHICLES ARE KNOWN LEMONS! THEY SHOULD PAY UP OR BE PROSECUTED AS ANY OTHER CRIMINAL WOULD BE FOR CHEATING/STEALING FROM A CONSUMER.
SERVICE BULLITIN CLASSIFICATION EM09-007, REFRENCE NTB09-128, POSTED NOVEMBER 16, 2009. BUZZING/WHINING NOISE FROM TIMING CHAIN AREA. HAVE CONTACTED AND STOPPED BY DEALERSHIP TO INFORM THEM ABOUT ISSUE I WAS HAVING. SHOWED TECH THERE THE SERVICE BULLITIN AND THEY STATED THAT THEY WERE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND KNEW ABOUT THE ISSUE WITH NUMEROUS VEHICLES. I WAS GIVEN THE ONLY WAY IT WAS COVERED BY NISSAN WAS IF THE VEHICLE WAS STILL UNDER FACTORY OR EXTENDED WARRANTY. IF IT WERE NOT COVERD THAT WAY THEN I, THE CUSTOMER, WERE RESPONSIBLE TO ALL THE COST AND AND RENTAL FEES IF I CHOSE TO GET ONE WHILE IT WAS IN THE SERVICE CENTER. I WAS GIVEN THE COST ESTIMATED AT $1800 DOLLARS AND THERE WAS NO GUARENTEE THAT IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM.. AND HAVE A NICE DAY. LEFT VERY FRUSTERATED KNOWING THERE WERE THOUSANDS MORE IN THE SAME SITUATION I'M IN NOW.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED DUE TO COOLANT CONTAMINATION. AS A RESULT, THE TRANSMISSION, RADIATOR, AND THERMOSTAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 191,270.
I HAVE HAD THE COOLANT PROBLEM FIXED. THEN I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE ALL THE U-JOINTS. I HAVE HAD TO BUY NEW GAS CAPS TO GET MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO GO OFF. NOW THERE IS A TERRIBLE LEAK AND A NOISE THAT IS SO BAD. I TOOK IT INTO A LOCAL SHOP AND IT IS THE TIMING CHAIN. THIS CAR HAS BEEN NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS AND NOW IT IS SO BAD THAT I CAN'T SELL IT BECAUSE NO ONE WANTS IT AND I AM NOW SO UPSIDE DOWN IN MY LOAN BECAUSE THE VALUE IS GOING DOWN SO MUCH THAT I CAN'T TRADE IT IN.
WHILE DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 25 IN SOUTH DENVER, MY PATHFINDER BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND STALL. THE ENGINE STARTED TO OVERHEAT AS I PULLED INTO A SERVICE STATION ABOUT TWO MILES AWAY. I HAD IT TOWED TO CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTO IN PARKER COLORADO. A RADIATOR PART BLEW, THE ENGINE OVERHEATED AND WAS DESTROYED. THE STEAM FROM THE PLASTIC RADIATOR PART ALSO DAMAGED THE MAIN COMPUTER. IT WAS CLOSE TO $10,000 FOR ALL REPAIRS RELATED TO THE RADIATOR PART FAILURE. APPROXIMATELY 8,000 MILES LATER, MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE DRIVING ON I-70 NEAR THE VAIL, COLORADO EXIT, AND THE PATHFINDER STARTED TO JERK VIOLENTLY ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 65MPH. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. SCARY EXPERIENCE FOR US BOTH. THIS HAPPENED TODAY, 03/24/2016. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM UNDER THE CAR. I HAD IT TOWED TO AVON AUTO IN AVON COLORADO. MY SON BOUGHT ME THE 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER ON MARCH 8. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TPS LIGHTS WERE ON THE DAY WE GOT IT, I ALSO COULD SMELL ANTIFREEZE CONSTANTLY. TOOK TO MECHANIC TO CHECK. HE SAID ENGINE COOLANT WAS LEAKING INTOTRANSMISSION FLUID AND THAT NISSAN WAS HAVING ALOT OF TROUBLES WITH THIS. HE SAID IT COULD COST THOUSANDS DOLLARS TO FIX. MY VEHICLE HAS ALITTLE OVER 73,500 MILES ON IT AND I CANNOT AFFORD A HUGE REPAIR BILL. MY SON IS WORRIED ABOUT MY SAFETY. CAN YOU POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION IN REGRDS TO THIS PLEASE! THANKS!

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE RADIATOR COOLANT LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION FLUID, WHICH CAUSED INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE TRANSMISSION. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 143,000.
CAR SHAKES VIOLENTLY WHEN ACCELERATING AND JERKS. HAVE BEEN TOLD I PROBABLY HAVE A CRACK IN RAIDIATOR AND FLUIDS LEAKED IN TRANSMISSION WILL BE THOUSANDS TO FIX. AFTER LOOKING ON INTERNET. I SEE MANY PEOPLE WITH PROBLEM AND NISSAN IS NOT COVERING COSTS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CRANK SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
MY TRANSMISSION STOPPED WITH NO WARNING
DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AND QUITE PULLING IN TRAFFIC AND WAS ALMOST HIT FROM REAR ON THE INTERSTATE. FOUND OUT RADIATOR FAILED AND FILLED TRANSMISSION FULL OF COOLANT AND CAUSED COMPLETE FAILURE OF BOTH SYSTEMS.

KNOWN PROBLEM BY NISSAN WHERE RADIATOR FLUID LEAKS INTO TRANSMISSION AND RUINS TRANSMISSION. REPAIR COST OF $3900.00. NO RECALL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED, VIBRATED, AND STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO COAST TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF FUEL. THE FUEL GAUGE FAILED TO PROVIDE THE ACCURATE READING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FIESTA NISSAN (2005 ST MICHAELS DR., SANTA FE, NM 87505, (505) 955-1000) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED DUE TO THE REPAIR FEES. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V075000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO NHTSA. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO VEHICLE TIMING CHAIN TENSIONING SYSTEM PROBLEMS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED WHILE DRIVING, SHE HEARD A STRANGE RATTLE AND HISSING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE AREA UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONSUMER HAD HER LOCAL REPAIR SHOP INVESTIGATE. THE TECHNICIAN STATED WITHOUT TAKING THE MOTOR APART, IT APPEARED THE MOTOR WAS FAILING. THE CONSUMER STARTED INVESTIGATING THE ISSUE AND DISCOVERED PATHFINDER'S FROM 2005-2015 HAD PROBLEMS WITH TIMING CHAIN, GUIDES AND SHOES. *JB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO COMPLETE A LEFT TURN, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR HOSE CRACKED AND LEAKED FLUID INTO THE TRANSMISSION, WHICH CONTAMINATED THE TRANSMISSION. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A COMPONENT WITHIN THE STEERING COLUMN FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 157,000.
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN REPORTED HUNDREDS OF TIMES. I HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES, AND WAS PUT IN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION WHILE DRIVING MY CAR. AS I WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN ACROSS TWO LANES AND INTO THE PATH OF ONCOMING VEHICLES, THE CAR STUTTERED, ALL OF THE LIGHTS WERE FLASHING, POWER STEERING WENT OUT, AND THE GAS NOR BREAK WOULD WORK. I WAS HALFWAY THROUGH MY TURN WHEN I REALIZED MY PATHFINDER JUST SHUT DOWN-I HAD NO WARNINGS, OR TROUBLE WITH THE CAR COMING UP TO MAKING MY TURN. I WAS VERY FORTUNATE THAT I WAS ABLE TO COAST ONTO THE STREET I WAS TURNING ONTO IT WAS BY THE GRACE OF GOD I DIDN'T GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. COME TO FIND OUT THE RADIATOR LEAK INTO THE TRANSMISSION CAUSING IT TO CONTAMINATE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ESSENTIALLY BLOW THE TRANSMISSION. REPAIR IS OVER $7000 FROM TWO DIFFERENT BODY SHOPS AS WELL AS A NISSAN CERTIFIED SERVICE CENTER. I OF COURSE WAS NOT HAPPY WHEN I WAS TOLD MY MILEAGE EXCEEDED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE. I WAS ALSO SAD TO FIND OUT NISSAN WASN'T DOING ANYTHING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, DESPITE THE MANY MANY COMPLAINTS AND LAWSUITS FILED AGAINST NISSAN WASN'T DOING ANYTHING FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS, DESPITE THE MANY MANY COMPLAINTS AND LAWSUITS FILED AGAINST THEM. THEY DON'T SEEM TO CARE ABOUT CONSUMER SAFETY'EVEN AFTER THE EXACT SAME ISSUE IS HAPPENING WITH HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF THEIR VEHICLES. I AM HOPING NISSAN WILL DO THE RIGHT THING, AND MAKE IT RIGHT. THEY SHOULDN'T BE WAITING FOR PEOPLE TO DIE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE TO MAKE A CHANGE. VEHICLE JERKS AND STALLS AND EVEN CUTS OFF DURING DRIVING. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND WENT TO CHANGE LANES AND THE ENGINE JUST SHUT OFF. I TRIED TO PULL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD QUICKLY BUT I HAD NO ENGINE POWER. I COASTED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND CALLED MY HUSBAND TO PICK ME UP. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND HE ADVISED US THAT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID HAD CONTAMINATED THE ANTI-FREEZE AND VICE VERSA AND THAT I'D NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR INSTALLED FOR $5500.00. HE ALSO ADDED THAT NISSAN HAD JUST LOST A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLES AFFECTED BUT THE CATCH IS THAT YOUR VEHICLE CAN NOT HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT. FROM MY RESEARCH IN THE FORUMS, THE ISSUE DOES NOT ARISE UNTIL THE VEHICLE MILEAGE EXCEEDS 100,000, SO WE'RE BASICALLY SCREWED FOR REPAIRS ON OUR NISSANS WITH 100,001 MILES OR MORE. I'M DOUBLE SCREWED AS I HAVE 2 2006 NISSAN'S. MY OTHER VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY INOPERABLE DUE TO ATF CONTAMINATION.

THE TRANSMISSION FAILED ON MY 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER DUE TO A POOR ENGINEERING ISSUE FROM NISSAN. THIS PROBLEM IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. TRANSMISSION CAN FAIL AT ANYTIME.

AT FIRST I THOUGHT MY HEATER WAS THE PROBLEM. I TOOK MY TRUCK DOWN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, AND A MIXTURE OF COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS NOTICED. THE DEALER TOLD ME I WAS GOING TO NEED A NEW TRANSMISSION, RADIATOR, AND HOSES. THEY SAID ALL OF THAT WOULD COST ME $8,000.

OUR 2006 NISSAN PATHFINDER WAS HAVING ISSUES WHERE IT WOULD SHUTTER HEAVILY WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE, THE POWER WOULD DROP OFF AND THE CAR WOULD REV HIGH. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER, THEY FOUND THE CAT CONVERTER BAD AND THE PLUGS FOULED. THEY FIXED THAT AND THE CAR RAN "BETTER" BUT WAS NOT QUITE RUNNING PERFECT AGAIN. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER WE WERE SUSPECT OF A SIMILAR ISSUE AS LAST TIME WHERE THE CAR WOULD LAG BEFORE SHIFTING ESPECIALLY WHEN WE WOULD STEP ON IT. SO, WE TOOK IT BACK TO NISSAN AND THIS TIME THEY FOUND THE ISSUE THAT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING WHERE THE RADIATOR CRACKS AND LEAKS COOLANT INTO THE TRANSMISSION. AFTER BEING QUOTED $5900 FOR THE FIX, I ASKED ABOUT THIS ISSUE I'VE SEEN ONLINE AND NOT UNTIL THEN DID THEY LOOK INTO IT AND SEE THAT NISSAN PUT OUT AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THIS MATTER. I STILL HAVE TO PAY A $3000 DEDUCTIBLE WHICH IS BS BUT IT IS BETTER THAN $5900

WHILE DRIVING ON TURNPIKE AT 75MPH TRANSMISSION SLIPPED GEAR STARTED SHUDDERING WHOLE TRUCK AND LOST SPEED. ATTEMPTED TO STEP ON GAS TO GET TO SHOULDER OF ROAD AND RPMS JUST WENT UP BUT WHEELS DID NOT MOVE. ALMOST WAS HIT BY MULTIPLE VEHICLES. ATTEMPTED TO MANUALLY SHIFT VEHICLE TO GET IT TO SHOULDER AND HAD VEHICLE TOWED. TRANSMISSION IS JUNK DUE TO COOLANT LEAKING.
SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON WITH ERROR CODE P0463. FOUND THERE IS A RECALL FOR YEAR 2006 AND 2007 FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. I HAVE NOT RUN OUT OF GAS OR HAD ANY ISSUES EXCEPT THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT IS ON WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION IN OUR STATE WITH THIS WARRING LIGHT LIT. IS MY PATHFINDER COVERED UNDER THE RECALL? VEHICLE IS OPERATIONAL AT THIS TIME.

RADIATOR LEAKS TO THE TRANSMISSION AND FUME LIKE WHITE MILKY COMING OUT OF THE RADIATOR WHEN WE OPEN IT AND THE SAME STUFF FOUND INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION. LICENSE MECHANIC WAS CONSULTED AND HE FOUND THAT RADIATOR WAS LEAKING TO THE TRANSMISSION WHICH DAMAGE BOTH RADIATOR AND THE TRANSMISSION AND I WILL NEED NEW RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION. NISSAN SHOULD RECALL THIS 2006 PATHFINDER AND RESOLVE THE PROBLEM.ACCORDING TO MY INTERNET RESEARCH ON THIS PARTICULAR 2006 PATHFINDER MANY PEOPLE COMPLAINED EXPRIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM.
