I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND HEARD A POWERFUL EXPLOSION. I SAW DEBRIS OUT OF THE CORNER OF MY EYE AND THOUGHT I HAD A BLOWN TIRE, BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT WOBBLY. AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN AND PULLING OVER, I COULD HEAR THE WIND. I SLOWLY STARTED TO OPEN THE SHADE AND THEN REALIZED IT WAS THE SUNROOF THAT HAD EXPLODED
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 25 MPH, AN ABNORMAL NOISE WAS HEARD COMING FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER UNIT WHEN IT WAS TURNED ON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ROUTINE SERVICE WHEN IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE COOLANT FAN HAD FAILED. THE DEALER TOWN NORTH NISSAN (9160A RESEARCH BLVD, AUSTIN, TX 78758 (512)-451-7411) WAS CONTACT IN REGARDS TO THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT A DIAGNOSED FEE HAD TO BE CHARGED IN ORDER FOR THE DEALER TO DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND CONFIRM THERE WERE NO RECALLS UNDER THE VIN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 67,796.
BOTH MY SUN VISORS HAVE FAILED AFTER ONLY 61000 MILES. THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR LOST ITS ABILITY TO STAY IN EITHER THE UP OR FULLY FORWARD SITUATION RESULTING IN IT FALLING DOWN IN FRONT OF MY VISION WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. THE PASSENGER SIDE VISOR IS ALMOST AT THE SAME STAGE OF FAILURE. IT HANGS DOWN 2 INCHES FROM THE TOP OF THE ROOF. MULTIPLE TIMES PASSENGERS HAVE HIT THEIR FACE ON THE VISOR WHEN LEANING FORWARD. AFTER TALKING WITH THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP'S PARTS DEPARTMENT, THEY INDICATED THAT SITUATION IS NOT ABNORMAL. THE PARTS PERSON SAID HE WAS IN A SIMILAR SITUATION WITH HIS PATHFINDER. I ENDED UP REPLACING THE DRIVERS SIDE VISOR SINCE IT WAS BLOCKING MY VISION WHILE DRIVING. SOON THE PASSENGER SIDE VISOR WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED PICTURES THE VISOR DESIGN IS SUB-PAR AND SHOULD BE REDESIGNED AND PROVIDED TO CUSTOMERS.
SUNVISORS ON BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE HAVE A DESIGN FLAW AND A PIECE INSIDE THE VISOR BREAKS. WHEN THIS PIECE BREAKS, THE VISORS WILL NOT STAY UP OR DOWN AND JUST HANG IN THE DRIVERS LINE OF SIGHT.
AT 32,000 MILES, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD FROM THE ENGINE AREA WHEN AIR CONDITIONING WAS ON. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE DRIVERS SIDE RADIATOR FAN WAS RUBBING AGAINST THE SHROUD. COMPLETE COOLING FAN MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. ITEM WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, DEALER REPAIR WAS $1,000 SO IT WAS REPAIRED AT THE LOCAL SHOP FOR $600. I HAD PREVIOUSLY OWNED A 2013 PATHFINDER AND IT HAD THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AT 45,000 MILES. SEEMS TO ME LIKE A DESIGN ISSUE.
MY TRUCK IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEYRE CLAIMING THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A NEW TRUCK WITH 71000 MILES
THE COOLING FAN FAILED AT LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. THIS PRODUCT IS FLAWED AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. DEALER SELLS A FAN ASSEMBLY FOR 800.00 PLUS LABOR. THIS IS A RIDICULOUS FEE FOR A COOLING FAN. I WAS ABLE TO BUY THE PART FOR 300 ONLINE AND CORRECT THIS ISSUE MYSELF BUT THE PRICE IS STILL HIGHER THAN IT SHOULD BE. THIS FAN SHOULD NOT BE FAILING THIS EARLY IN THE VEHICLE LIFE SPAN.
ONGOING ISSUE FOR THREE YEARS! PLEASE HELP! CRUISE CONTROL DROPS OUT WHILE TOWING. WE ALMOST GOT HIT BY AN 18 WHEELER DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD! I HAD MY GRANDSON WITH ME!! THE PROBLEM I HAVE IS UNRESOLVED. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS AND MESSAGES TO CONTACT CHARLOTTE AT 6157257808 OVER THE COURSE OF AT LEAST THREE-FOUR WEEKS, I HAVE RESOLVED THE FACT THAT NISSAN DOES NOT CARE ABOUT MY ISSUE. HENCE I WILL BE CONTACTING THE BBB TO GET THIS MATTER RESOLVED TO MY SATISFACTION. I AM IN THE MARKET FOR A NEW CAR AND IT WILL NOT BE NISSAN.
THE SUN VISORS ARE POORLY ENGINEERED AND ARE EASILY BROKEN THROUGH NORMAL OPERATION. THE VISOR WAS PLACED AGAINST THE WINDSHIELD TO BLOCK THE SUN, WHILE DRIVING, THE VISOR PIVOTED DOWNWARD AND BLOCKED THE DRIVER'S FIELD OF VIEW. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM AS ONE CAN EASILY SEE WITH A QUICK WEB QUERY. FRUSTRATING THAT THE PART IS EXPENSIVE TO REPLACE, BUT EVEN MORE CONCERNING THAT IT PRESENTS A SAFETY HAZARD AND NISSAN DEALERSHIPS SAID "IT'S COMMON THAT THE VISORS BREAK BECAUSE THEY'RE MADE OF CHEAP PLASTIC"
THE DRIVER'S SIDE VISOR WOULD NOT STAY UP. IT BEGAN WITH NOT GOING ALL THE WAY UP, BUT EVENTUALLY HUNG STRAIGHT DOWN AND COULD NOT PUT IT IN ANY OTHER POSITION. IT HANGS IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE AND CANNOT SEE TO DRIVE. WE ATTEMPTED VELCRO TO ATTACH IT TO THE ROOF, BUT IT WOULD ALL OF A SUDDEN GIVE WAY DROPPING ON MY HEAD (I AM SHORT AND CLOSE TO THE WINDSHIELD) OR IN FRONT OF MY HUSBAND'S FACE WHERE HE COULD NOT SEE. IT DROPS DOWN WITH NO WARNING (PRESSING ON BRAKES, TURNING, ETC). NISSAN REPORTED THIS HAS HAPPENED IN OTHER NISSAN PATHFINDERS, BUT THERE IS NO RECALL AT THIS TIME. OUR PASSENGER SIDE IS BEGINNING TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING.
TRANSMISSION WHEN PRESSING ON THE GAS HAPPENS ANYTIME AT ANY SPEED, THE WHOLE CAR SHAKES AND THE VEHICLE DOESN'T WANT TO SPEED UP. WAS MERGING ONTO HIGHWAY AND PRESSED ON THE ACCELERATION JUST A LITTLE BIT AND THE VEHICLE DID NOT WANT TO SPEED UP. ALL IT DID FOR A FEW SECONDS WAS SHAKE AND SHIMMY THE VEHICLE. FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS HAVING ISSUES. THIS STARTED TO HAPPEN AT 30,000 MILES WITH THE VEHICLE THAT WAS JUST BARELY 2 YEARS OLD. BROUGHT TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD NOTHING IS WRONG WITH TRANSMISSION BUT AN OUTDATED SOFTWARE FOR CVS TRASNMISSSION, THEY UPDATED IT AND THE VEHICLE HAS WAY HIGHER RPMS WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS EVERY SO LITTLE AND THE TRANSMISSION STILL DOES THE SAME ISSU AS BEFORE. NISSAN STILL STATES NOTHING IS WRONG. I BEG TO DIFFER WHEN I'M GETTING ON THE INTERSTATE AND THE WHOLE VEHICLE SHAKES AND DOESN'T WANT TO MOVE AND ALMOST CAUSED A CRASH BY BEING HIT WHEN VEHICLE WON'T SPEED UP BUT WANTS TO SHAKE AND SHIMMY THE ENTIRE VEHICLE FOR A FEW SECONDS THEN GO IS A SAFETY ISSUE!
I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER ON THE EXPRESSWAY WITH MY WIFE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND 2 KIDS (8 & 9) IN THE REAR SEAT. I HAD THE SUNROOF CLOSED BUT THE SHADE SCREEN OPEN. ALL OF A SUDDEN THERE WAS A LOUD BANG AND THE SUNROOF GLASS SHATTERED. THEN MYSELF, WIFE AND KIDS GOT SHOWERED FROM SOME OF THE BROKEN GLASS WHILE I WAS STILL DRIVING. WHEN THIS HAPPENED MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE SCARED AND SCREAMING AND I QUICKLY MANAGED TO CLOSE THE SHADE SCREEN AND PULL TO THE HIGHWAY SHOULDER. AFTER SEARCHING ONLINE I HAVE LEARNED THAT THIS IS NOT AN UNCOMMON ISSUE WITH SUNROOFS, SPECIFICALLY NISSAN. I HAVE SINCE CALLED MY INSURANCE WHO WILL COVER THE DAMAGE AND ALSO FILED A CLAIM WITH NISSAN TO SEE IF THEY WILL COVER THE DAMAGE.
2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER, LESS THAN 40K MILES, RADIATOR COOLING FAN WOBBLES AND MAKES LOUD/GRINDING NOISE (LIKES IT'S COMING LOOSE), IN THE MIDDLE OF A LONG ROAD TRIP. POTENTIAL ENGINE OVERHEAT/SEIZURE, DANGEROUS TO OCCUPANTS IN CAR.
THE INSIDE FRONT DRIVERS' AND PASSENGER SIDE DOOR HANDLES REPEATEDLY BREAK AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AMONG PATHFINDER OWNERS AS WELL AS NISSAN DEALERS. WHEN BROKEN, THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER CANNOT EXIT THE VEHICLE UNLESS THE DOORS ARE UNLOCKED AND THEN OPENED FROM THE OUTSIDE. AGAIN, WHEN BROKEN, AND THEY BREAK REPEATEDLY, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER CANNOT EXIT THEIR OWN DOOR, WHICH SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE. WE'VE REPLACED BOTH DOOR HANDLES ONCE, AND HAVE TO REPLACE THE PASSENGER'S HANDLE A SECOND TIME. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED, THE CAR WAS AT 20,000 MILES. IT'S NOW AT 70,000 MILES, AND HAS HAPPENED FOR THE THIRD TIME.
AFTER APPLYING BRAKES BEFORE MAKING A LEFT HAND TURN, PRESSING ON THE GAS PEDAL YIELDED NO RESULTS, NO ACCELERATION, NO RPM MOVEMENT, PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOORBOARD YIELDED NO RESULTS. ONLY AFTER STEPPING OFF OF GAS PEDAL AND REAPPLYING THE BRAKES THEN PUSHING GAS PEDAL DID THE CAR RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATIONS. THIS HAS BEEN AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND HAS ALMOST CAUSED SEVERAL ACCIDENTS. BELIEVE IT TO BE RELATED TO THE BRAKE RELAY WHICH IS WHY IT WILL NOT THROW A CODE.

VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE INTERMITTENTLY ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS. VEHICLE WOULD NOT GO OVER 20 MPH FROM A COMPLETE STOP AND OR WHEN SWITCHING FROM BRAKING TO ACCELERATING. ALSO BREAK LIGHTS WERE LEFT ON EVEN IF VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF. THE FAULT IS THE STOP LAMP RELAY CIRCUIT AND STOP LAMP SWITCH.
FAN ASSEMBLY MOTOR NOISE I DRIVE A 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER WITH 39K MILES AND A FEW DAYS AGO I NOTICED A LOUD NOISE WHEN THE CLIMATE SYSTEM WAS ON. I TOOK IT TO DEALER TODAY AND THEY STATED THE FAN ASSEMBLY MOTOR IS BAD. THEY ALSO STATED THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THIS PART. THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER FOR AT LEAST 3-4 WEEKS. SO THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO FIX MY CAR EVEN IF I WANTED THEM TO. AFTER SOME READING THIS SEEMS TO BE A PART ISSUE AND SHOULD BE A RECALL.
RADIATOR COOLING FAN IS LOOSE AND MAKES A LOUD BANGING NOISE WHEN THE A/C IS ON.THIS STARTED AROUND THE 38K MILEAGE MARK. THIS HAPPENS WHEN STATIONARY OR WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. SOMETIMES IT'LL GO WEEKS WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I'VE NOTICED THAT MAKING SHARP TURNS CAN SET OFF THE WOBBLING FAN, CAUSING WEEKS OF ANNOYING, LOUD, AND QUIET EMBARRASSING BLUNDER AS IF I WERE BANGING POTS AND PANS TOGETHER. IF YOU TURN A/C OFF, THE NOISE STOPS. WHEN INSPECTING THE FAN WITH A/C OFF, THE FAN IS VERY WOBBLY AND APPEARS TO BANG AGAINST OTHER PARTS RESULTING IN THE LOUD NOISE. PLEASE HELP!!!
BRAKE POWER BOOSTER LEAKS AFTER ONLY 35000 MILES
ACCELERATING FROM STOP AND EXPERIENCE A STUDDER OR DELAYED ACCELERATION. MUST RELEASE ACCELERATOR AND THEN PRESS AGAIN TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT ISSUE AND CANNOT BE REPRODUCED ON DEMAND SO IT MAKES IT HARD TO DIAGNOSE WITH A MECHANIC.
WHILE DRIVING DOWN A 2 LANE ROAD (CHENAL PARKWAY NEAR MARGEAUX IN LITTLE ROCK, AR)AT APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH THE SUNROOF SUDDENLY POPPED AND SHATTERED CAUSING GLASS TO FALL IN TO THE CAR ON TO MYSELF AND MY DOG RIDING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. MY 12 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER AND OUR OTHER DOG WERE IN THE BACK SEAT. THIS SECTION OF THIS STREET IS SOMEWHAT HILLY. NO POTHOLES WERE IN THE ROAD. ONE OTHER VEHICLE WAS IN VIEW AT TIME OF INCIDENT. A VERY CLEAN (NO DIRT OR DEBRIS ON IT)NEWER MODEL PICKUP TRUCK WAS APPROXIMATELY 5 CAR LENGTHS IN FRONT OF US. IT WAS APPROXIMATELY 6:30 PM ON 3/13 AND SKIES WERE SUNNY AND CLEAR. WE SEARCHED THE EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF THE CAR AND THE ROAD IN THE AREA AND COULD FIND NO EXPLANATION FOR THE BREAK. FORTUNATELY NO ONE WAS INJURED.
THIS VEHICLE HAS 59,800 MILES ON IT, DRIVING HOME FROM WORK THE VEHICLE STARTED RIDING REALLY ROUGH AND ENGINE STARTED MAKING A KNOCKING SOUND. DROVE IT STRAIGHT TO NISSAN TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. TECHNICIAN CALLED THE NEXT MORNING TO INFORM ME IT HAS A BAD FAN MOTOR ASSEMBLY. ITS IS A KNOWN ISSUE AND PARTS ARE ON BACK ORDER FOR WEEKS. NISSAN IS WELL AWARE OF THIS ISSUE WITH THE 2015 PATHFINDER BUT STILL MAKES THE CONSUMER PAY ALL OR PART OF THE REPAIR. ONLY AFTER COMPLAINING DID I RECEIVE AN OFFER TO PAY 70% OF THE REPAIR. ALTHOUGH I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE OFFER I STILL DO NOT FEEL I SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY OF THE COST ON A KNOWN ISSUE OF A PART BEING DEFECTIVE. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL SOON ISSUE A RECALL AND OTHERS WONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT AND THE COST I WILL INCUR TO HAVE IT REPAIRED.
AT INTERMITTENT TIMES WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN YOU PUSH ON THE GAS, THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS NOT ONLY TO ME BUT TO OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE IT HAS ALMOST CAUSED ACCIDENTS . WHEN THIS OCCURS THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT WILL COME ON AND REMAIN LIT UNTIL THE CAR IS RESTARTED. ALSO THE BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY LIGHT . IT HAS BEEN TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE NO CODES COULD BE FOUND, ON 05/02/2018 IT WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AFTER MANY CALLS TO NISSAN MOTORS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM THEY GAVE ME A REFERENCE CASE # OF 30341997 ALL THIS WAS GIVEN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO TRY TO FIND THE PROBLEM A SECOND TIME AFTER THEY WERE CONTACTED BY NISSAN AND MYSELF. AFTER 7 HOURS OF HAVING MY CAR FOR DIAGNOSTICS I WAS TOLD IT APPEARS TO BE A FACTORY DEFECT THAT NEEDS 3 PARTS ORDERED TO DO A WORK AROUND. TWO NEW WIRING HARNESSES AND A SWITCH THAT WILL ALLOW THEM TO BYPASS BRAKE SWITCH RELAY AND REROUTE TO BODY CONTROL MODULE , I WAS TOLD THIS WOULD COST AND ADDITIONAL $500 PLUS ON TOP OF THE $121.62 I ALREADY PAID FOR THE DIAGNOSTICS I DO NOT THINK A CONSUMER SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A FACTORY DEFECT FIRSTLY, THEN HOW IS THIS WORK AROUND GOING TO AFFECT THE SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE FOR MYSELF AND OTHERS? ALSO NISSAN MUST BE WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM FOR THEM TO ALREADY HAVE MANUFACTURED THESE PARTS TO DO A WORK AROUND TO CORRECT IT. ARE THEY TRYING TO RISK PEOPLE LIVES TO SAVE A DOLLAR? SO IN SUMMERY I HAVE AN ACCELERATION PROBLEM THAT IS GOING TO GET SOMEONE KILLED TRACTION CONTROL ISSUE THAT I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT IS WORKING CORRECTLY OR NOT OR IF IT IS GOING TO BE DISABLED. BRAKE LIGHTS THAT STAY ON WHEN DRIVING WHEN THIS HAPPENS THAT OTHER DRIVERS CAN'T TELL IF I AM APPLYING THE BRAKES OR NOT. DON'T LIKE THE IDEA OF HAVING SUCH A NEW MODEL CAR HAVE A SAFETY ISSUE WORKAROUND DONE ON IT THAT IT WAS NOT DESIGNED FOR.
THE RADIATOR COOLING FAN FAILED IN MY 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER CAUSING A LOUD KNOCKING IN THE MOTOR . EVERY NISSAN DEALERSHIP AROUND COLUMBIA, SC DOES NOT HAVE THE PART IN STOCK DUE TO IT BEING ON BACKORDER. THIS IS FOR BOTH FACTORY AND AFTERMARKET. NO DEALERSHIP KNOWS WHEN NISSAN WILL EVEN PROVIDE THE FACTORY PART. WITH THE EXCESSIVE RATE OF NISSAN & ALSO INFINITY'S DROPPING DUE TO THIS SAME ISSUE AND THE DEMAND FOR THIS PART, I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED ASAP. IT IS APPARENT THAT THIS IS A FAULTY PART ON THESE MODEL VEHICLES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE THIS FOR CERTAIN CAN LEAD TO LARGER PROBLEMS. THERE ARE 3 NISSAN LOCATIONS NOT FAR. HELLO, LAST NIGHT I HAD TO HELP MY SISTER WITH HER NISSAN ALTIMA 2013 BECAUSE WHEN SHE SHIFTS HER CAR FROM PARK TO REVERSE OR DRIVE THE ALTIMA STALLS AND WILL NOT DRIVE. WHEN I POPPED THE HOOD I NOTICED THAT HER BATTERY WAS IN VERY BAD SHAPE. IT WAS HEAVILY CORRODED. I CLEANED IT AND TRIED, BUT THE SAME SYMPTOMS HAPPENED. THE ALTIMA WOULD STALL. WE ENDED UP REPLACING THE BATTERY. THAT WAS HER THIRD BATTERY TO BE REPLACED. WHY IS THAT? HER ALTIMA IS ONLY 75K MILES. THIS MORNING I DECIDED TO CHECK OUR 2015 PATHFINDER TO FIND THE SAME SYMPTOMS. MY BATTERY WAS CORRODING. I DECIDED TO CLEAN THE BATTERY AND ADD A BATTERY GREASE TO MITIGATE CORROSION IN THE FUTURE. SUN VISOR FALLS DOWN IN FRONT OF THE DRIVER BLOCKING THEIR VIEW OF TRAFFIC. FAULTY SUNVISORS MADE OF PLASTIC ARE THE PROBLEM AND THERE ARE MANY PATHFINDER OWNERS COMPLAINING ABOUT THEM. IF YOU HOLD THE SUN VISOR UP WHILE YOUR DRIVING THEN YOUR DRIVING WITH ONE HAND ON THE STEERING WHEEL.
MOTOR & FAN ASSEMBLY WITH SHROUD- FAN IS INOPERATIVE SINCE A PART ON FAN HAS BROKEN. VEHICLE IS ONLY WORKING ON ONE FAN. VEHICLE STARTED MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN FAN ASSEMBLY WOULD COME ON WHILE DRIVING.
RADIATOR FAN ASSEMBLY. MY VEHICLE IS AT APPX 41K MILES. A FEW WEEKS A LOUD METALLIC CLANKING NOISE BEGAN EMANATING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. OUR MECHANIC IDENTIFIED THE ISSUE AS THE DRIVER SIDE RADIATOR FAN (THIS MODEL HAS 2 FANS HOUSED IN ONE ASSEMBLY) HITTING THE ASSEMBLY SHROUD. THE BEARINGS HAVE MALFUNCTIONED CAUSING THE BLADE TO ROTATE OFF AXIS. IF THE BLADE SHEARS OFF OR BREAKS IT WOULD LIKELY PUNCTURE THE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY WHICH COULD LEAD TO OVERHEATING OR FIRE. NISSAN HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS AS A RECALL ISSUE, THOUGH THERE ARE NUMEROUS REPORTS OF A SIMILAR PROBLEM IN NISSAN OWNER FORUMS. THIS WHOLE DUAL FAN ASSEMBLY MUST BE REPLACED, BUT THE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED SO OFTEN THAT THE ASSEMBLY IS NOT AVAILABLE. MINE WAS ORDERED ON FEB 9TH. THERE IS NO RELEASE DATE FOR THE PART FROM NISSAN.
2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER SOMETIMES WILL NOT GO WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED FROM A STOPPED POSITION. 3 DIFFERENT TIMES THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME AND MY WIFE. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. IT HAPPENED THE LAST TIME AS WE WERE TRYING TO CROSS FOUR LANES OF TRAFFIC AT AN INTERSECTION.AS THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND WE TRIED TO GO IT ONLY IDLED ACROSS THE INTERSECTION WE GOT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ASAP IT'S BEEN THERE A WEEK SO FAR. VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN AUG 2015. I PURCHASED IT USED BUT CERTIFIED! PLEASE INVESTIGATE TO SEE IF THE PROBLEMS THEY HAD WITH THE 2013-2014 MODELS ARE CONTINUING. I HAVE HEARD IT MIGHT BE THE TRANSMISSION? ALL MAINTENANCE HAS BEEN PERFORMED ACCORDING TO CARFAX, INCLUDING AT 9,774 AN ENGINE POWER TRAIN COMPUTER MODULE REPROGRAMMED. CERTIFICATION WAS DONE BY NISSAN ON 8/21/2018 AND PURCHASED BY US.ON 9/2/2017. ANY HELP TO KEEP ME AND MY WIFE SAFE WILL BE APPRECIATED.
DRIVER'S SIDE RADIATOR FAN WOBBLES AND MAKES NOISE WHEN COMPRESSOR FOR DEFROSTER OR A/C IS TURNED ON.
WHILE TOWING A LOAD, THE VEHICLE WITHOUT WARNING DIS ENGAGES THE CRUISE CONTROL AND CAUSE A SAFETY HAZARD. I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED BY AN 18 WHEELER!!! VERY DANGEROUS AND NEEDS FIXED. THIS HAPPENS OFTEN!
RADIATOR COOLING FAN WOBBLES AND MAKES LOAD/GRINDING NOISE! POTENTIALLY ENGINE OVERHEATING CAN BE DANGEROUS TO OCCUPANTS IN THE CAR DURING A ROAD TRIP!
THE DRIVERS SIDE SUN-VISOR DOESN'T STAY UP. IT HANGS DIRECTLY DOWN, CAUSING IT TO BE RIGHT IN MY LINE OF SIGHT. I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO VELCRO OR TAPE IT UP BUT NOTHING WORKS FOR VERY LONG AND THE VISOR WILL FALL DOWN WHILE I AM DRIVING. THIS IS MOST DEFINITELY A SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
LOSS OF ACCELERATION AFTER STOPPING. PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR & NO RESPONSE, NO RPM CHANGE. PUMPED GAS PEDAL SEVERAL TIMES, FINALLY THE VEHICLE RESPONDED AFTER ALMOST BEING HIT. MY VEHICLE IS AN AUTOMATIC. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES & ALWAYS SEEMS TO BE AFTER BREAKING. I DO NOT HAVE MY FOOT ON THE BREAK BUT IT DOES SEEM TO RESPOND AFTER I SWITCH FROM BREAK TO GAS SEVERAL TIMES AS IF IT IS A FAULTY SWITCH.

VISOR CLICKING WHEN MOVING UP OR DOWN. NOW NEITHER VISOR WILL STAY UP IN ITS INTENDED POSITION. THE DRIVER SIDE VISOR IS CAUSING A SAFETY CONCERN AS IT IS SAGGING IN FRONT OF MY FACE.
WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP, AT LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STUTTERS/JUDDERS FOR A FEW SECONDS. IT HAS BEEN PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE, EVEN STARTING TO SHOW UP AT MEDIUM SPEEDS, TO THE POINT WHERE WE THINK THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO STALL. IF YOU PUSH ON THE GAS IT EVENTUALLY GOES THROUGHT THE STUTTERING. SINCE NO CODES ARE INDICATING THEY WILL NOT LOOK AT THE ISSUE.

I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A OIL CHANGE AND THE DEALER HANDED ME A SERVICE BULLETIN FROM NISSAN [REFERNCE NTB17-045,CLASSIFICATION EL17-015]. I CONTACKED NISSAN TO NO AVAIL,THE DEALERSHIP OFFERED TO REPLACE LENSES AT MY EXPENSE.I DONT FEEL THIS IS RIGHT! VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION.
REAR BRAKE PADS GONE IN 1.5 YEARS IS UNHEARD OF. ONLY 36,000 MILES ON THIS CAR. TIRES WERE BALD AFTER ONE YEAR. SUCH INFERIOR PRODUCTS GOING INTO A $40K CAR
POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET AND HIGHWAY. DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CITED LOOSE WIRING AS THE CAUSE. THIRD OCCURRENCE WITHIN 2 YEARS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN PATHFINDER. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS APPLIED, BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN THREE TIMES TO A LOCAL DEALER (SANDY SANSING NISSAN, 5705 PENSACOLA BLVD, PENSACOLA, FL 32505), BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,353.
THE AC AND HEAT FAN MAKES LOUD SOUNDS STARTED IN SUMMER 2017. IT'S SO LOUD THAT I HAVE TO TURN IT COMPLETELY OFF NOW.
I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WHERE ANOTHER CAR CLIPPED THE BACK BUMPER OF MY PATHFINDER GOING TROUGH AN INTERSECTION. IT WAS ENOUGH TO DEPLOY MY CURTAIN AIRBAGS ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND THE SEAT AIR BAG IN THE DRIVERS SEAT, BUT DID MINOR DAMAGE TO THE BACK BUMPER ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. BUT, AFTER EVERYONE WAS OUT OF MY PATHFINDER, A POLICE OFFICER NOTICED A FIRE INSIDE THE PATHFINDER. IT WAS LOCATED ON THE PANEL BETWEEN THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR AND THE BACK DOOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE. I DON'T HAVE PICTURES (I DIDN'T THINK TO TAKE ANY) AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY IS HANDLING THE POLICE REPORT AND ALL THE DETAILS, BUT THE OFFICER ASKED ME TO REPORT THIS ISSUE TO YOU SO I AM.
HAD OUR AIRBAG RECALL FIXED LAST YEAR BUT THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO STAY ON WHEN SOMEONE SITS IN THE SEAT. THIS HAPPENS PERIODICALLY. RECALL FIXED WALLACE STUART. FLORIDA.
WARNING LIGHT APPEARED - DEALER INDICATED NEEDED NEW TRANSMISSION UNDER WARRANTY HAS BEEN WITH DEALER FOR SEVEN WORKING DAYS AND THEY ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY REPAIRING THE ISSUE DEALER INDICATED OTHER PATHFINDERS HAVE SAME PROBLEM. LIGHT APPEARED WHEN I TURNED ON VEHICLE -
WHEN STARTING FROM STOP ( AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT) THE VEHICLE PERIODICALLY WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP TWO TIMES NOW WITH NO CHANGE. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS IN THEY DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE AND THOUGHT THAT WOULD CORRECT IT, IT DID NOT. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID IT WAS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS IN 2WD AND IT WAS WET OUT. IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN WITH THE VEHICLE IN AUTO AND THE GROUND BONE DRY. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND STARTED A CASE. I WAS TOLD TO GET A SECOND OPINION. THE VEHICLE IS UNSAFE BECAUSE WHEN PULLING INTO A LANE OF TRAFFIC YOU MAY NOT MOVE FOR A FEW SECONDS ANS ON COMING TRAFFIC MAY NOT STOP.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE ROADWAY (SPEED - 40 M.P.H.), THE HOOD OPENED AND OBSTRUCTED MY VIEW. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I WAS ABLE TO SAFELY STOP THE VEHICLE AND RE-SECURE THE HOOD. THE DAMAGE TO THE FENDERS WAS EXTENSIVE AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACEDD, AS WELL AS THE HOOD LATCH MECHANISM. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT COMPLETED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO REED NISSAN (3776 W COLONIAL DR, ORLANDO, FL 32808), WHO SAID THE LATCH MECHANISM NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, BUT IT WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY.
