BUMPED INTO A LARGE CURB ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HIT RIGHT AT THE PASSENGER FRONT DOOR THAT IS WHEN THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO NISSAN DEALER TO BE CHECKED WAS JUST RESET THE FIRST TIME 4 DAYS LATER CAME BACK ON TOOK IT BACK WAS PUT THROUGH A DIAGNOSTIC SCREENING AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WAS SHOWING THE OCS UNIT WAS MALFUNCTIONING. TOLD ME THAT IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WHICH WAS IN BOTTOM OF SEAT. MY QUESTION IS HOW COULD SOMETHING LIKE THAT GET DAMAGED IF IT IS IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SEAT WHEN HARDLY ANYONE EVER RIDES IN THAT SEAT. I WAS GOING 5 MILES PER HR. WHEN I HIT CURB.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED TO 60 MPH WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NISSAN OF NORTH OLMSTED (28500 LORAIN RD, NORTH OLMSTED, OH 44070, 440-734-6900) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST BE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL FOR THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 113,000.
DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR ON CITY STREET AND TRANSMISSION BROKE HAD 97000 MILES ON IT MY WIFE BOUGHT CAR BRAND NEW. CAR HAS NEVER BEEN TREAT ROUGH JUST NORMAL DRIVING. NISSAN DOES NOT WANT TO OWN UP TO THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BAD DESIGN INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION. ASKED FOR HELP ON GETTING TRANSMISSION REPLACED GOT TOLD NISSAN DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED AND WENT INTO NEUTRAL. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE AND SHIFT INTO THE DRIVE, THE VEHICLE WOULD FAILED TO SHIFT GEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER (CROWLEY NISSAN, 1451 FARMINGTON AVE, BRISTOL, CT 06010) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THERE WERE ISSUES WITH PREVIOUS VEHICLES OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL BUT DUE TO THE YEAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE, IT DID NOT QUALIFY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
FUEL GAUGE MALFUNCTIONING; STOP READING
I AM CURRENTLY DRIVING A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. SEVERAL DAYS AGO MY AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. MIDDLETOWN NISSAN SAID THIS VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF A RECALL. I WAS ALSO TOLD THERE WERE NOT ANY NISSAN AIRBAG RECALLS. ACCORDING TO WHAT IRESEARCHED, THIS IS NOT TRUE. MY CONCERNS ARE MY SAFETY AND THE IDEA OF PAYING FOR A REPAIR THAT MAY BE PART OF A RECALL PLEASE ADVISE ME. THIS IS THE SIXTH NISSAN VEHICLE I HAVE DRIVEN:A VERY LOYAL CUSTOMER
PURCHASED A CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED 2011 NISSAN ROGUE IN 2013. EVER SINCE I OWNED THE VEHICLE IT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY POP OUT OF GEAR AND WOULD THEN REENGAGE INTO GEAR AND ACCELERATE ON THE HIGHWAY AND CITY ROADWAYS. WHEN I WOULD ACCELERATE FROM 20MPH TO HIGHER SPEEDS THE CAR WOULD JUMP AS IF THE BRAKES WERE STUCK. APPARENTLY THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND NISSAN IS NOW INDICATING TO ME THAT ALTHOUGH THE LATER MODEL YEAR CARS WERE GIVEN AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION MY CAR IS NOT COVERED. I HAVE SPOKEN TO THEM TO FILE COMPLAINTS, BUT NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. THERE ARE AN OUTSTANDING NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THEIR CVT TRANSMISSIONS, BUT THEY DO NOT WANT TO COVER THE 2011'S. NOW I WILL HAVE TO REPLACE ENTIRE TRANSMISSION AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $4,000.00. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO CAR WITH APPROXIMATELY 100,000 MILES THAT HAS BEEN SERVICED AND CARE FOR REGULARLY. THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED ACCELERATING ON ME ON A ONE LANE ROAD WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 45 MPH THAT HAS A LOT OF TRAFFIC. I HAD TO COAST TO A STOP ON A HALF SHOULDER AND WAIT THERE UNTIL HELP COULD ARRIVE.
SEPT 2017 I PAID SANDY SANSING NISSAN 853.00 TO REPLACE MY DEFECTIVE CVT JATCO TRANSMISSION THAT FAILED. NOW JANUARY 28, 2018 WITH LESS THAN 6000 MILES ON NEW TRANSMISSION I WAS DRIVING INTERSTATE 70 MPH POSTED SPEED IN HEAVY RAIN WHEN THE CAR BEGAN TO GO UP IN RPMS REVVING BEFORE IT QUICKLY BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. SAME THING AS BEFORE. THE ROADS WERE SLICK DUE TO 24 HOURS OF RAINFALL PLACING MYSELF IN A DEADLY SITUATION. I'M NOT WILLING TO RISK MY LIFE OR THE LIFE OF MY CHILDREN AND HUSBAND FOR A KNOWN DEFECT NISSAN HAS BEEN AWARE OF, AND SUED FOR NUMEROUS MODELS ALREADY AND YET STILL INSTALLING DEFECTIVE CVT TRANSMISSIONS WITH ONLY A 12,000 MILE OR 12 MONTH WARRANTY ON THEIR REPLACEMENT MODELS WHICH STATES THEY KNOW THEY ARE TRASH AND STILL DECEIVE THEIR CUSTOMERS. NISSAN OWNERS SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE DEATH TRAPS THEY ARE DRIVING AND NISSAN SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR THEIR DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS THEY CONTINUE TO SELL TO CONSUMERS WITHOUT DISCLOSING THE POTENTIAL LOSS OF LIFE THAT COULD OCCUR.
2011 NISSAN ROGUE CVT TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE. FOR NISSAN IT IS A KNOW ISSUE AND NISSAN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND DOUBLED THE WARRANTY PERIOD FOR THE CVT TRANSMISSION FOR 2008-2010 NISSAN ROGUE MODELS AND POWERTRAIN WARRANTY COVERAGE OF 5 YEARS/60,000 MILES WAS EXTENDED AT NO COST, FOR CVT REPAIRS, REPLACEMENTS OR RELATED TOWING, UP TO 10 YEARS/120,000 MILES (WHICHEVER COMES FIRST). MY 2011 NISSAN ROGUE CVT TRANSMISSION IS ALSO DEFECTIVE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS ONLY 46682 AND NISSAN HAS TO EXTEND AND COVER THE COST OF REPLACEMENT. I PAID DIAGNOSTIC CHARGES AT NISSAN DEALER AT HORSHEADS, NY AND DEALER GAVE ESTIMATE OF $4000 TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION. I OPENED A CASE WITH NISAN, CASE #29665859 AND TOWED MY VEHICLE TO PRIORITY NISSAN DEALER AT CHANTILLY, VA NEAR MY HOME BASED ON CONVERSATION WITH CASE MANAGER. NOW THEY ARE ASKING TO PAY AGAIN DIAGNOSTIC CHARGES, I BELIEVE ALL TECHNICIANS ARE TRAINED BY NISSAN BECAUSE BOTH ARE NISSAN DEALERS AND THIS IS TOTALLY UNFAIR ASKING CUSTOMER TO PAY AGAIN FOR THE SAME DIAGNOSTIC TWICE. I ALSO SENT DIAGNOSTIC PAPERS TO CASE MANAGER AND PRIORITY NISSAN, CHANTILLY DEALER. BOTH CASE MANAGER AND CHANTILLY NISSAN DEALER SAYING WITHOUT PAYING DIAGNOSTIC CHARGES THEY ARE TO GOING TO TAKE ANY ACTION. APPARENTLY THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE ON 2011 MODELS ALSO AND NISSAN IS NOW INDICATING TO ME THAT ALTHOUGH THE OLDER MODEL YEAR CARS WERE GIVEN AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR THE FAULTY CVT TRANSMISSION BUT MY CAR IS NOT COVERED AND CASE MANAGE IS THEY NEED DIAGNOSTIC REPORT AGAIN FROM THIS CHANTILLY DEALER TO REVIEW MY CASE BUT ASKING TO PAY AGAIN THE CHARGES AND THIS IS TOTALLY NOT FAIR.
DRIVE SIDE DOOR WON'T OPEN FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE IN REALLY COLD WEATHER. SEEN THERE WAS RECALLS ON THIS ON OTHER YEARS BUT NOT A 2011. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME FOR THE THIRD YEAR NOW.
FRONT END VIBRATION AT 50-70 MPH 1500.00 LATER NEW STRUTS,SWAY BAR, BUSHINGS, BARRINGS,ETC , ALSO HAD CENTER DRIVE SHAFT AND PASSENGER DRIVER SHAFT REPLACED IN 2017
I HAD BOUGHT IN THE CAR WITH 33,004 MILES ON IT FROM DESTINATION NISSAN OUT OF ALBANY NEW YORK I NOW HAVE 92,000 MILES AND THE TRANSMISSION WENT BAD FROM NISSAN I EVEN CONTACTED THE BBB AND NO HELP I WAS ONLY ABLE TO PUT 59,700 MILES ON THIS CAR I STILL HAVE TWO YEARS TO PAY ON IT THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT WITH NO NOTICE NO LIGHTS CAME ON DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MILES AN HOUR LOST POWER HAD TO PULL OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD I FEEL IT'S VERY DANGEROUS SOMEONE'S GOING TO GET HURT OR KILLED THEY HAVE RECALLS FOR THE 2008 AND 2010 FOR THE SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR CVT TRANSMISSIONSAND THEY GAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 120,000 MILES OR 10 YEARS AND THE VEHICLES I FEEL THAT THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE 2011 SO I DON'T THINK THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS ANY DIFFERENT THAT THEY HAD PUT IN THE OTHER ONES THAT THEY PUT IN THE 2011 AND THEREFORE I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE I'VE PAID OVER $25,000 FOR THIS CAR AND I STILL HAVE TWO YEARS TO PAY ON IT I DON'T FEEL THAT AT 59,000 MILES I HAVE MY DRIVING I SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE A TRANSMISSION I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NISSAN AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT I TELL PEOPLE NEVER TO PO AND THEY GAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR 120,000 MILES OR 10 YEARS AND THE VEHICLES I FEEL THAT THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THE 2011 SO I DON'T THINK THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS ANY DIFFERENT THAT THEY HAD PUT IN THE OTHER ONES THAT THEY PUT IN THE 2011 AND THEREFORE I FEEL THEY SHOULD HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE I'VE PAID OVER $25,000 FOR THIS CAR AND I STILL HAVE TWO YEARS TO PAY ON IT I DON'T FEEL THAT AT 59,000 MILES I HAVE DRIVING I SHOULD HAVE TO REPLACE A TRANSMISSION I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER NISSAN AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE THAT I TELL PEOPLE NEVER BUY A NISSAN THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS
INTERMITTENTLY JUST SEEMS AS IF IT SHIFTS OUT OF GEAR RESULTING IN CAR HAVING NO POWER. MOST OFTEN DID THIS WHEN I WAS ON HIGHWAY, RESULTING IN ME BEING IN HIGH SPEED HIGHWAY WITH NO POWER. APPARENTLY THE CVT TRANSMISSION IS DEFECTIVE AND LOOKING BACK, ALWAYS WAS FOR PAST SEVERAL YEARS, WITH SEVERAL NISSAN MECHANICS PREVIOUSLY TESTING IT AND INDICATING THERE WAS NO PROBLEM.
DRIVING AT 65 MILES A HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY AND CAR LOST ALL POWER IN THE DRIVE TRAIN COULD NOT GET IT BACK TO SPEED AS A TRUCK GOING THE SAME SPEED WAS ON MY BUMPER AFTER LOOSING POWER LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO GET OVER OFF THE HIGHWAY. MY CAR HAS 90000 MILES ON IT AND I DO NOT FEEL THAT MY TRANSMISSION SHOULD OF WENT BAD I SEE THAT THERE IS A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ON THE 2008-2010 NISSAN ROUGE FOR THE SAME ISSUE AS THE 2011 ROUGES,CALLED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD THAT I DO. IT HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY SO THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. I JUST HOPE THAT IT DOES NOT TAKE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT TO HAPPEN BEFORE NISSAN FIXES THE PROBLEM.NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER RIGHT NOW AND I STILL OWE 2 YEARS ON THIS CAR AND ONLY HAD IT FOR 3 YEARS.
THE SHIFT LEVER STUCK IN PARKING POSITION AND I COULDN'T MOVE TO REAR OR DRIVING POSITION.I SPOKE WITH DEALER AND HELPED ME TO REMOVE THE SHIFT LOCK AND SUGGESTED ME TO TAKE IT TO DEALER THE NEXT DAY I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THE COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM BUT SUGGESTED TO CHANGE SHIFT LEVER AND I AGREED TO CHANGE THE LEVER AND I AM WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT. MY CAR BATTERY WAS CHECKED AND NO PROBLEM IDENTIFIED WITH THAT I AM WORRIED THIS PROBLEM MIGHT BE INVOLVED WITH ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND MIGHT AFFECT OTHER CARS TOO.
ON SUNDAY(12/3/17), I DROVE HOME FROM CHURCH, PARKED MY CAR IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE AND ENTERED MY HOUSE FOR LESS THAN TEN MINUTES PRIOR TO MY NEIGHBOR KNOCKING ON MY DOOR TO NOTIFY ME THAT MY NISSAN ROGUE WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. I HAD NO SUSPICION THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE TO CAUSE A FIRE. ONE BLOCK FROM MY HOUSE I WAS PULLED OVER BY A COP, WHO NOTIFIED ME THAT SHE SAW ONE OF MY HEADLIGHTS GO OUT. THERE WAS NO SOUND, LIGHT OR SMELL THAT WOULD HAVE INDICATED A PROBLEM WITH MY VEHICLE. I AM GRATEFUL FOR BEING IN MY HOUSE AT THE START OF THE FIRE. I HAD NO AFTERMARKET UPGRADES DONE TO MY VEHICLE AND IT WAS REGULARLY TAKEN IN FOR OIL CHANGES AND TO HAVE TIRE MAINTENANCE. MY CONCERN IS ANOTHER NISSAN ROGUE OWNER WILL NOT BE AS LUCKY AS I WAS AND INSTEAD WILL BE DRIVING AT THE TIME OF AN ENGINE FIRE.
CAR NO REASON GOT ON FIRE IN THE DRIVE FRONT FOR NO REASON
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING THIS NISSAN ROGUE 2011 AND IT STOPPED MOVING. I HAD IT TOWED TO A NISSAN DEALER ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHOT AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IT ONLY HAD 55,296 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME. THIS OCCURRED ON 11/21/2017. FORTUNATELY THIS DID NOT OCCUR ON A HIGHWAY, BUT RATHER ON A LOCAL STREET. I KNOW THAT NISSAN DOUBLED THE WARRANRIES ON THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS ON THE 2008 TO 2010 ROGUES, BUT NOT ON ANYTHING AFTER THAT. WHAT A BUMMER!! EVIDENTLY THEY DID NOT FIX THEIR PROBLEMS..
ELECTICALS PROBLEMES ALARMS GO OFF FLOORS SEEM TO BE WET ?
2011 NISSAN ROGUE, DRIVING ON THE ROAD, LOOSING POWER AND NO RESPOND BY PUSHING THE GAS PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR, AND ON RESPOND FROM THE CAR. 50000 MILES. NISSAN TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO DEALERSHIP AND HAVE IT CHECKED. DEALER SAID IT IS TRANSMISSION COOLER AND CLOSE TO $2000 TO FIX IT. NISSAN NOW IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR IT. THESE CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE PIECE OF JUNKS, AND THEY KNOW IT TOO, BUT THEY KEEP PUTTING THIS JUNK DEFECT CVT DESIGN ON THEIR VEHICLES.. THEY HAVE EXTENDED THEIR WARRANTY ON 2008 , 2009, AND 2010 TO 120000 MILES OR 10 YEARS, SO THAT MEANS THEY ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM, BUT WHY NOT ON 2011. WHAT A DIFFERENCE ?. 2011 HAS THE SAME TRANSMISSION AS 2008, 2009, AND 2010. GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO MAKE THEM TO FIX EVERY BAD CVT TRANSMISSION, AND NISSAN NEEDS TO STOP BUILDING THIS OF CRAP . OTHER AUTO DEALERSHIPS ARE LAUGHING AT NISSAN WITH THEIR CVT TRANSMISSION DESIGN. HOW MANY COMPLAINTS IT TAKES FOR NISSAN TO GET AFTER IT. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL.
I WAS ON THE THRUWAY/HIGHWAY AND MY RPMS GOT HIGHER AND HIGHER, EVEN THOUGH MY CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON. ENGINE WAS REVVING UP, AND SUDDENLY LOST POWER TO THE CAR, EVEN THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL WAS TO THE GROUND. THANKFULLY, TRAFFIC WAS SLOW AND I WAS LUCKY. I PULLED OVER AND CALLED GEICO FOR A TOW TRUCK.
THE AIR BAG LIGHT REMAINS ON .. THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR ACTUATOR KEEPS BUZZING
TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A LEAK AND THE RIGHT FRONT AXLE IS LEAKING. IT HAS ALREADY BEEN SEALED ONCE AND IS LEAKING AGAIN.

BOB HOWARD NISSAN (132000 BROADWAY EXT, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK) WAS CONTACTED AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION COOLER WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WAS CONTACTED AND DIAGNOSED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MODERN NISSAN OF LAKE NORMAN (18615 STATESVILLE RD, CORNELIUS, NC 28031), BUT COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
TOTAL TRANSMISSION FAILURE AT 72,000 MILES.
THE VEHICLE REQUIRED A NEW TRANSMISSION AT 86K MILES. UNABLE TO BE REPAIRED. THERE WAS A LACK OF ACCELERATION AND STUTTERING.
MY CAR WOULD NOT START UP. ALL GAUGES WERE FLUTTERING AND FLICKERING, DOOR LOCKS WERE LOCKING AND UNLOCKING RAPIDLY, THEN THE CAR WENT DEAD. GAVE IT JUMP AND IT STARTED. NEXT DAY IT DIED AGAIN, GAVE IT A JUMP AND IT STARTED. WHILE I WAS DRIVING IT SHUT OFF SUDDENLY AND COMPLETELY, GIVING ME NO TIME TO STEER. THE CAR WAS DEAD AGAIN. REPLACED THE BATTERY AND PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. VERY DANGEROUS TO BE DRIVING AND HAVE THE CAR JUST STOP COMPLETELY. I'M LUCKY I WASN'T HIT.

MY 7 YEAR OLD NISSAN ROUGE STARTED LOSING ACCELERATION WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS, TALK ABOUT SCARY AND DANGEROUS. NO WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL MECHANIC AND HE TOLD ME MY TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. IF I TRAVEL ON THE INTERSTATE AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 65-75 MPH FOR MORE THAN TWO HOURS THE TRANSMISSION SHUTS DOWN AND WILL NOT SHIFT AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP, REGARDLESS OF STOPPING ON A HILL OR FLAT GROUND.
IN RESPONSE TO THE CAR SHUTTERING AROUND 25 TO 35 MPH, WE TOOK THE CAR TO OUR LOCAL MECHANIC. HE REPORTS THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND WILL REQUIRE A TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT BY A NISSAN DEALER BECAUSE HE WAS AWARE OF ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THAT NISSAN WAS HAVING. HE INFORMED OF OF A NATIONAL RECALL ON EARLIER MODELS FOR THE SAME REASON. HE STATED THAT THEY CLEARLY HAVE NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. WITH FURTHER ON-LINE RESEARCH, WE HAVE CONFIRMED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2011 MODELS.
WHILE DRIVING LONG DISTANCES AT HIGH SPEEDS (75-80MPH) THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING EVEN WITH GAS PEDAL FLOORED. THE CAR AUTOMATICALLY DECELERATED TO 50 MPH AND MAXED OUT AT 60 MPH. WE PULLED THE CAR OVER AND CHECKED ALL FLUIDS, WHICH PROVED NORMAL. WE TURNED THE CAR OFF TO LET IT COOL FOR A FEW MINUTES. ONCE THE CAR WAS TURNED BACK ON IT DROVE NORMALLY FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND THEN THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. THIS PATTERN CONTINUED FOR THE ENTIRE 7 HOUR ROAD TRIP. ONCE WE TOOK THE CAR INTO A NISSAN SHOP, WE WERE TOLD THAT NOTHING WAS FOUND DURING DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THIS WAS A REOCCURRING PROBLEM WITH NISSAN ROGUES DUE TO OVERHEATING OF TRANSMISSION/TRANSMISSION FLUID. IT WAS EXPLAINED TO US THAT NISSAN HAS NOT MADE A RECALL ON THIS, BUT HAS ONLY PROVIDED WARRANTIES FOR TRANSMISSION ISSUES ON 2008-2010 MODELS. UNFORTUNATELY MINE IS A 2011. THIS PUT MY FAMILY IN VERY DANGEROUS SITUATIONS AS WE WERE ON INTERSTATES WITH CARS AND SEMI TRUCKS TRAVELING AT VERY HIGH VELOCITIES. SEMI TRUCKS WERE HONKING AND FLASHING LIGHTS AT US OUT OF ANGER AS IT PUT THEM IN DANGER AS WELL. THIS COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED A ROAD RAGE INCIDENT.
ON MY WAY TO WORK A LITTLE OVER A MONTH AGO, MY AIRBAG LIGHT BEGAN TO FLASH. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT MAYBE IT WAS FLASHING BECAUSE MY WORK BAG WAS ON THE PASSENGER SEAT. AT THIS POINT I AM NOT SURE WHAT ELSE TO DO BECAUSE I CONTACTED NISSAN AND I'M NOT MAKING ANY PROGRESS. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CONSTANTLY FLASHES WHETHER STATIONARY OR IN MOTION.

I TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THEY WANTED $550!!! RIDICULOUS! I FOUND A GOOD HONEST MECHANIC PLACE AND THEY EVEN REDUCED THE COST SINCE IT ONLY TOOK THEM 15 MINS TO REPLACE IT! ONLY COSTED ME $80! SO NOW AND AGAIN IT HAS ALSO BEEN LOSING RPMS AND HAVING DIFFICULTY SPEEDING UP. MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING FROM WORK AND ON THE FREEWAY, AND THE RPMS STOPPED AT 4000 AND FROZE. I WOULDN'T GO OVER 60MPH! HE WAS SCARED AND PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. HE CHECKED THE OIL (IT WAS PERFECT), THE INSIDE AND SAW NOTHING. I CALLED NISSAN AS THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE NISAN ROGUE. I CALLED NISSAN AND THEY STATED THAT IT WAS THE 2010 ROGUE. MINE IS THE 2011 ROGUE WHICH WAS PURCHASED AT THE END OF 2010. SO I AM SUPPOSE TO BELIEVE THAT THEY SOMEHOW PUT A BETTER CVT TRANSMISSION IN MY ROGUE WHICH IS NOT THAT FAR OFF FROM THE 2010 THAT HAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND RECALL ON IT?? I TURN THE CAR OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES, STARTED IT UP, AND WE WERE SOMEWHAT BACK TO NORMAL. IT ACCELERATED, BUT DIDN'T HAVE POWER BEHIND IT. IT TOOK MUCH MORE TO GET TO 80MPH, OR EVEN 60 MPH THEN A FEW MILES MORE IT STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN AND IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS BECAUSE I HAD TRAILERS AND CARS THAT HAD TO GO AROUND ME RIGHT AWAY LUCKY FOR ALL OF US THERE WAS NOT MUCH TRAFFIC SO THEY WERE ABLE TO CHANGE LANE FAST IF NOT THEY WOULD HAVE CRASHED INTO ME COUSIN A BIG OR EVEN FATAL ACCIDENT.

THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN, WHILE DRIVING WITH MY TWO BOYS AND TWO GRANDSON'S IN THE CAR. I AGAIN LOST POWER AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY ON THE HIGHWAY. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND, IT SEEMS A SAFTY MATTER, AND I BELIEVE IT SHOUL BE COVERED BY MY WARRANTY. A WONDERFUL POLICE OFFICER FINALLY PUSHED MY CAR TO SAFETY. HE GUESSED MY TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED. HE SAID IT HAPPENS ALL OF THE TIME IN MY TYPE OF CAR. HE SAID THE CRV TRANSMISSIONS WERE NO GOOD. THE TRANSMISSION HAD FAILED. SHEEHY NISSAN IN MECHANICSVILLE, VA, THE CLOSEST DEALER, SAID THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE TRANSMISSION AND THE COST OF A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS $4,600. I HAD TO GET AN AUTO BODY SHOP TO INSTALL A TRANSMISSION FROM A NEW CAR THAT HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT , FOR $2660, AS I COULD NOT AFFORD $4,600. THIS TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT HAVE FAILED AT 86K MILES. I AM ENCLOSING TWO BILLS; ONE FROM THE DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTIC FEES AND ONE FROM THE AUTOBODY SHOP THAT DID THE WORK.

THEY WANT ANYWHERE FROM $800-1,200 TO INSTALL THE COOLING KIT. WHY SHOULD THE CONSUMER HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS IF NISSAN IS HAVING TO ADD A KIT TO COOL DOWN THE TRANSMISSION? OBVIOUSLY, IT'S A DEFAULT IN THE TRANSMISSION AND HAS HAPPENED REPEATEDLY ON LOTS OF VEHICLES. ACCORDING TO A WEBSITE, NISSAN HAS AN EXTENDED CVT WARRANTY FOR 2003-2010 NISSAN ROGUES, BUT NOTHING AFTER THAT EVEN THOUGH NEWER CARS (2014) ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. DO PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE FIRST BEFORE THEY DO A RECALL? IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND HARD TO RECREATE AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO GET THE TRANSMISSION WARM AND THAT USUALLY TAKES A LONGER DISTANCE TO DRIVE. THE '08, '09, '10 MODELS HAVE ALL HAD THEIR WARRANTIES EXTENDED. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD ON A HIGHWAY WHEN VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE. SOMEONE IS GOING TO BE HIT FROM BEHIND, AS THE DRIVER HAS NO WAY TO KEEP A STEADY ACCELERATION, OR SLOW THE RPM UNLESS THE CAR IS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. NISSAN SHOULD REPLACE ALL TRANSMISSIONS IN THE ROGUE.

NO LIGHTS NO DASH LIGHTS NO NOISE AT ALL IS WAS AS IF BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. NEW BATTERY INSTALLED 4 MONTHS AGO. I THOUGHT I MAY HAVE LEFT SOMETHING ON AND CAUSED THE BATTERY TO DRAIN, HOWEVER, A FEW MINUTES LATER THE CAR DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP ON ITS OWN WITH THE KEY STILL IN THE IGNITION BUT NOT TURNED ON TO THE START POSITION. I TURNED THE KEY AND THE CAR STARTED. THIS MORNING I WENT TO LEAVE FOR WORK, SAME THING CAR ABSOLUTELY DEAD. I CHECKED UNDER HOOD, THOUGHT PERHAPS LOOSE CABLES TO THE BATTERY. I CHECKED AND SAW NO LOOSE CABLES I WIPED AROUND THE AREA WITH A PAPER TOWEL GOT BACK IN CAR TURNED KEY AND THE CAR STARTED. I DRIVE TO WORK IN BOSTON PARK THE CAR IN MY EMPLOYEE PARKING GARAGE AND GET OUT OF THE CAR AND WENT TO AUTOMATICALLY LOCK THE DOORS AND NOTHING. NO SECURITY LIGHT ON INSIDE OF THE CAR, TOTALLY DEAD AGAIN! I'M WONDERING IF THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MANY OTHER NISSAN'S AS I READ ONLINE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS SAME ISSUE. HAS THERE BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE? WHAT IS THE ISSUE? I NEED TO GET THIS RESOLVED PLEASE. I CAN'T HAVE A VEHICLE THAT IS UNDEPENDABLE ESPECIALLY WHEN I AM MAKING CAR PAYMENTS ON THIS VEHICLE EVERY MONTH. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE IDLING AT A STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO PARK AND RESTARTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REFUSED TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE WHEN THE CONTACT REQUESTED A WORK ORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,785.
