TRANSMISSION WENT OUT
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Roque. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, there was an unknown noise coming from the driver's door. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled over safely, and there was a consistent locking sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under recall due to water leakage. The contact's friend drove the vehicle to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer and diagnosed. The dealer repaired the door lock, actuator, and door handle; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 32,775.
I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR SINCE THE FIRST WEEK I BOUGHT IT. IF IT'S NOT ONE THING IT'S ANOTHER. ENGINE PROBLEMS, OIL LEAKING PROBLEMS. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON WHENEVER. POSSIBLE OIL BURNING PROBLEM. SPARK PLUGS, PISTON RINGS, AXLES, CYLINDERS, MOUNTS. THIS CAR IS IN THE SHOP EVERY OTHER 2-3 WEEKS. NOW IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR A MONTH+. IT'S IS CRAZY THAT A DEALERSHIP WOULD SELL THIS VEHICLE TO A CUSTOMER. THERE'S EVEN THIS THUDDERING NOISE. THINGS HAVE BEEN FIXED AND SOMETHING ELSE WENT WRONG. IT'S BEEN NON STOP REPAIRS SINCE DAY ONE. IT ALSO SEEMS THAT 2013 NISSAN ROGUES AND HAD MANY MANUFACTURER PROBLEMS AND ISSUES. I FEEL THIS WAS DAMAGED CAR THAT WAS NEVER REPORTED AND THEN SOMEONE FIXED A FEW FAKE THINGS AND THEN RESOLD IT KNOW THIS CAR WAS NO GOOD. WHEN I DRIVE IT MAKES A LOUD THUDDER NOISE, THE STEERING IS NOT SMOOTH. ALSO ONE NIGHT MY CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED WHEN I TRIED TO REVERSE AND RED LIGHT CAME ON.
THE CARS PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WILL STAY ILLUMINATED AS OFF WHEN NO ONE OR NOTHING IS IN THE SEAT. THIS LIGHT SHOULD GO OFF WITHIN 7 SECONDS OF THE CAR TURNING ON. AND WHEN AN ADULT PASSENGER OF ADEQUATE SIZE GETS IN THE SEAT IT MAY OR MAY NOT REMAIN OFF. THIS MEANS THAT THE AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IF NEEDED BECAUSE THE OCS SENSOR IS NOT PROPERLY REGISTERING THE WEIGHT OF THE PASSENGER. THE PASSENGER SEATBELT LIGHT WILL ALSO REMAIN ON AFTER A PASSENGER EXITS THE VEHICLE AS IF SOMEONE IS STILL SEATING THERE AND NEEDS TO APPLY THE SEATBELT. ANOTHER FAULT OF THE OCS SENSOR. THE CAR HAS BEEN STATIONARY AND IN MOTION WHEN THIS OCCURS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND BEEN TOLD THAT MY CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO AT THIS TIME. OTHER ROGUE MODEL YEARS AND NISSANS IN GENERAL HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS SAME ISSUE YET NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE FOR THE 2013 ROGUE. I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW SEAT AT A VALUE OF $2600-$3000. THIS IS CLEARLY A NISSAN ISSUE NOT A CUSTOMER ISSUE. IT NEEDS TO BE RECALLED AND FIXED. T
The airbag light on the console has been flashing for some time. I took it into the dealership, and they first replaced the airbag module. That has not resolved the flashing light so now they want to replace the clock spring. I am concerned that since the 2014 model has recalls concerning airbags, the 2013 might also have problems that fall under a recall category. I do have repair receipts, should you need additional information.
I HAVE A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. 104,000 MI. I'VE HAD ABOUT 2 YRS, AND TOOK IT FOR OIL CHANGE AND TRANSMISSION CHECK. IT WAS LOSING POWER WHEN I APPLIED THE GAS PEDAL. THEY INFORMED ME MY ONLY CHOICE WAS A NEW TRANSMISSION. WHAT? WHY? APPARENTLY, THIS CVT TRANSMISSION HAS BURNED UP IN MY VEHICLE. MEANWHILE, NOTHING ON THE DASH EVER TOLD ME I HAD ANY PROBLEMS. NISSAN DOESN'T OFFER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY ON 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. THEY STARTED IT IN 2014!
CAR LOCKING MECHANISM FREEZES IN COLD WEATHER, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN DOOR DESPITE 'UNLOCKING' CAR. HAD THE ISSUE FIXED 2 YEARS AGO AND HAD TO HAVE IT FIXED AGAIN.
I HAVE HAD ONE PROBLEM AFTER ANOTHER AND THIS STARTED RIGHT AFTER PURCHASE. A/C COMPRESSOR WENT OUT FIRST, DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, COST $600 TO FIX. AFTER THAT, THE BLOWER MOTOR BURNED UP WHILE WARMING UP ONE MORNING. I STARTED SMELLING BURNED PLASTIC, $300 REPAIR. 6 MONTHS LATER, I AM SPENDING $4000 TO REPLACE THE BURNED UP TRANSMISSION. I WENT INTO FAIL-SAFE MODE WHILE I WAS ATTEMPTING TO MAKE A TURN AGAINST TRAFFIC. THEN I COULD SMELL SOMETHING BURNED AFTER DRIVING.NOW I HAVE JUST SPENT ANOTHER $500 ON A NEW BATTERY AND CABLES AND NEW ALTERNATOR, ONLY TO HEAR MY VEHICLE STILL NOT STARTING. AS I WRITE THIS, I'M WAITING FOR A CALL FROM FIRESTONE TO NOW TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG WITH MY CAR AND HOW MUCH THIS WILL COST! IT IS ONLY FEBRUARY, AND I HAVE ALREADY USED MY 2 WEEKS VACATION BECAUSE MY CAR IS UNDRIVEABLE. MEANWHILE, I STILL HAVE 2 YRS LEFT ON MY AUTO LOAN AGREEMENT. PLEASE HELP US 2013 NISSAN ROGUE VICTIMS
WITH NO WARNING NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NOTHING ONE DAY I LEFT FOR WORK AND HARDLY HAD ANY ACCELERATION TURNED AROUND BROUGHT IT BACK HOME. HAD TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN BECAUSE IT'S A CVT AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY 2013 WITH 134000 MILES AND STILL OWE $7000 ON THE TRANSMISSION WENT. THE "REFURBISHED" TRANSMISSION QUOTE WAS $2400 JUST FOR THE PART. WE LIVE PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK AND CANT AFFORD THAT SO I CONTACTED CORPORATE NISSAN WHO DID AN "INVESTIGATION" AND DENIED THAT THEY WERE AT FAULT FOR THE FAULTY TRANSMISSION. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL ARTICLES ABOUT COMPLAINTS OF LOSS OF ACCELERATION. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY HAZARD, LIKE I SAID WE HAD NO WARNING AT ALL.
DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR ABOUT 40 MINUTES WHEN THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER. I STEPPED ON THE GAS PEDAL AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I HAD TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY TO AVOID GETTING REAR ENDED.
DRIVING ON HIGHWAY THE ENGINE RPMS STARTED TO RACE REAL HIGH THEN REAL LOW. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND LOOKS LIKE TRANSMISSION BAD, MANUFACTORER AND DEALER WILL NOT STAND UP FOR THE PRODUCT AND IT SEEMS THEY HAD RECALLS ON THIS WITH OTHER YEAR CARS BUT NOT THIS YEAR.
MY CAR WILL NO LONGER MOVE WHEN THE GAS IS PRESSED. I HAVE BEEN TOLD BY SEVERAL PEOPLE IT IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT JUST STOPPED. I ALMOST GOT HIT. NOW IT WON'T ACCELERATE AT ALL.
ON OUR RETURN TRIP FROM MIRAMAR BEACH, FL TO OUR HOME IN VESTAVIA HILLS, AL THE CAR'S SPEED ABRUPTLY REDUCED TO APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH AFTER DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH ON A STATE HIGHWAY (FOR APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 HOURS) BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESPOND TO THE ACCELERATOR OTHER THAN TO "VROOM" WHEN I PRESSED IT WITH MY FOOT. THE PROBLEM WITH ACCELERATION DID NOT CORRECT ITSELF DURING THE REMAINING 75 MILES OF THE TRIP. WE ALSO SMELLED AN ODOR LIKE BURNED OIL WHEN WE STOPPED. VERY DANGEROUS AS ALL OTHER CARS PASSED US ON THIS ALABAMA STATE HIGHWAY AND THE SUBSEQUENT DISTANCE ON INTERSTATE-65. BASED ON WHAT WE HAVE READ ON THE INTERNET, INCLUDING SETTLEMENTS OF CLASS ACTION LAW SUITS AND EXTENDED WARRANTY AWARDS FOR EARLIER MODEL YEARS, WE BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS RELATED TO THE NISSAN'S CVT TRANSMISSION AND IT'S FACTORY SETTINGS.
AT ONLY 80,000 MILES, THE VEHICLE DANGEROUSLY LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING AND INEVITABLY WOULD NOT ALLOW THE CAR TO ACCELERATE. UPON BEING PARKED, THE VEHICLE WOULD START, BUT WOULD IMMEDIATELY SHUDDER AND STALL OUT WHEN TRYING TO MOVE IN DRIVE OR REVERSE. NISSAN HAS HAD COUNTLESS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE DEFECTIVE CVT TRANSMISSION FAILING PREMATURELY, AND HAS ISSUED WARRANTY EXTENSIONS ON ALL OTHER VEHICLES AND YEARS ASIDE FROM THE 2013 NISSAN ROGUE.
THE CAR STARTS TO LAG AND DECELERATE WHEN TRYING TO GO OVER 50MPH..IT SPUTTERS WHEN SITTING AT RED LIGHTS/STOP SIGNS. CAR ONLY HAS 70,000 MILES ON IT, AND TOOK IT TO MECHANIC TODAY WHO STATED IT WAS THE CVT AND THAT ITS COMMON WITH 2013-2016 MODELS. THERE ARE SO MANY COMPLAINTS ON THESE CVT TRANSMISISONS, ITS CRAZY THAT THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY RECALLS YET. THERE WERE LEMON LAWS IN OTHER STATES PROTECTING OTHER NISSAN MODELS FOR CVT ISSUES , WHICH HAVE ALREADY EXPIRED, HOWEVER THERE SEEM TO BE NONE FOR NISSAN ROGUE..I GUESS NO RECALLS WILL BE DONE UNTIL ONE OF US DIES..WHICH IS A SHAME..
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE HIS DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED TO 35 MPH AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE DRIVER PULLED OVER, RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, AND THE VEHICLE DROVE AS DESIGNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THRUWAY NISSAN (79 NY-17K, NEWBURGH, NY 12550, (845) 562-1000) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION AND EXTERNAL OIL COOLER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AS PER TSB 16-090. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,650.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. ROGUE IS SLUGGISH WITH POOR ACCELERATION WHEN I GO BEYOND 50 MPH. VEHICLE HAS ABOUT 107,800 MILES. IT APPEARS THAT THE CVT (CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION) IS THE PROBLEM, POSSIBLE TORQUE CONVERTER IS BAD OR THE REDUCED PERFORMANCE IS DUE TO CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE PROTECTION LOGIC. THERE AREN'T ANY RECALLS AND I CHECKED MY VIN ON NISSAN'S WEBSITE AND THEY STATE THAT MY ROGUE ISN'T ON THE LIST FOR ANY OF THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS. HOWEVER, THIS IS WHAT I FOUND: TSB NTB13-079D ' REDUCED PERFORMANCE DUE TO CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE PROTECTION LOGIC ' RE0F10A CVT TRANSMISSION 2008 ' 2013 NISSAN ROGUE ' TSB NTB14-002D PROBLEM ' THE REDUCED PERFORMANCE IS DUE TO THE CVT FAIL-SAFE MODE, WHICH WILL REDUCE THE VEHICLE SPEED TO PROTECT THE TRANSMISSION FROM FURTHER DAMAGE. *DT CONSUMER STATED TORQUE CONVERTER AND LEFT SIDE AXLE WERE BAD AND WERE REPLACED.*JB
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. ROGUE WAS SLUGGISH WITH POOR ACCELERATION WHEN I WOULD GO FASTER THAN 50 MPH. VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 107,800 MILES. IT WAS DETERMINED THE CVT (CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION) IS THE PROBLEM, TORQUE CONVERTER AND LEFT SIDE AXLE WERE BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. TOTAL COST WAS $3,942.58. THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE FOR MODEL YEAR ROGUES FROM 2008 TO 2016. HOWEVER THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY 2013 ROGUE AND I CHECKED MY VIN ON NISSAN'S WEBSITE. I ALSO SPOKE TO A REP AT NISSAN AND SHE STATED THAT MY ROGUE IS NOT ON THE LIST FOR ANY OF THE TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETINS AND THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR MY MODEL YEAR ROGUE. HOWEVER SHE ACKNOWLEDGED THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR 2013 ROGUES. HOWEVER, I FOUND A BULLETIN TSB NTB13-079D THAT THE REDUCED PERFORMANCE IS DUE TO CVT FLUID TEMPERATURE PROTECTION LOGIC RE0F10A CVT TRANSMISSION OR A BAD TORQUE CONVERTER WHICH REQUIRES THE TRANSMISSION TO BE REPLACED. THIS AFFECTS 2008 TO 2013 NISSAN ROGUES TSB NTB14-002D.
TRANSMISSION NEEDS REPLACED DUE TO CVT PROBLEMS WHICH NISSAN IS AWARE OF AND HAS NEVER ISSUED A RECALL. SOME ISSUES INCLUDE: LOUD/WHINING NOISES WHEN ACCELERATING, DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING, SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER, AND INCREASED RPM EVEN WHEN SPEED IS DECELERATING.
THE DRIVER AIRBAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AND HAS NEVER BEEN USED
AT 83,500 MILES, THE CVT STARTED WHINING AND SHIFTING WAS OCCASIONALLY DIFFICULT. RPM'S FLUCTUATED AT ALL SPEEDS. DIAGNOSIS INDICATED THE CVT WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED.
DRIVING FOR ANY DISTANCE 30-40 MILES OR MORE, THE TRANSMISSION FAILS. THE VEHICLE STARTS TO SLOW DOWN WHILE THE RPM'S RISE AND THE TRANSMISSION STARTS MAKING A HIGH PITCHED WHINING SOUND. THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME ANY TRIP OF 30 MILES OR MORE IS ATTEMPTED, USUALLY ON THE INTERSTATE. IF THE VEHICLE IS ALLOWED TO SIT, USUALLY FOR 2 HOURS, THE VEHICLE WILL START AND OPERATE NORMALLY FOR SHORT DISTANCES. DURING THE MOST RECENT EVENT,.THE VEHICLE HAD NOT TRAVELED 30 MILES WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND DURING THIS EPISODE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WHINED THE ENGINE/TRANSMISSION STARTED SMOKING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MANY TIMES BEGINNING APPROXIMATELY 2 YEARS WITH THE MOST RECENT EVENT BEING 8/18/20, YET THERE ARE NO RECALLS.
WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY (MORE THAN 70 MPH) AND THE OUTSIDE WEATHER IS HOT (80 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT OR HIGHER), THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY DROPS ACCELERATION TO 60 MPH AFTER ABOUT 1.5 HOURS OF DRIVING, AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE ANY FASTER THAN THAT. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME THREE TIMES WITH THIS VEHICLE. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE.
VEHICLE TRANSMISSION JUST STOPS ACCELERATION LOSES POWER. WAS ALMOST HIT MULTIPLE TIMES BECAUSE VEHICLE JUST STOPS MOVING. INTERSTATE TRAVELING IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. SPEED WILL DROP 20+ MPH AND WITH PEDDLE TO THE FLOOR WILL NOT ACCELERATE. DATE LISTED IS TODAY BUT PROBLEM HAS BEEN FOR MONTHS NOW.
WHEN I ACCELERATE I HEAR A WIRING SHORTAGE OF SORTS. THE HORN BLOWS AND THERE'S A HESITATION IN ACCELERATING.
AFTER DRIVING FOR SEVERAL HOURS ON THE INTERSTATE THE CAR STARTED LOSING POWER AND WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 60 MPH
DURING A 600 MILE ROAD TRIP ON INTERSTATE AND 2 LANE HIGHWAYS, OUR 2013 NISSAN ROUGE BEGAN HAVING ACCELERATION ISSUES AFTER ABOUT 4 HOURS OF DRIVING. CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE PAST 60 MPH EVEN WITH GAS PEDAL PUSHED ALL WAY. THIS WOULD HAPPEN SEVERAL MORE TIMES. WE FOUND A MECHANIC IN A SMALL TOWN WHO COULD NOT IDENTIFY ANY SPECIFIC PROBLEM. IN A LARGER TOWN THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED SO WE TOOK OUR CAR TO THE LOCAL TIRE AND OIL CHANGE TO CHECK FLUIDS ETC, NO ISSUES WERE FOUND BUT WE WENT AHEAD AND HAD OIL AND FILTERS CHANGED. PROBLEM OCCURRED ONE MORE TIME ON OUR WAY TO OUR DESTINATION. WE DID NOT TRAVEL ON HIGHWAYS FOR A FEW DAYS. ABOUT 5 HOURS ON OUR WAY BACK HOME WE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE ON THE INTERSTATE BEYOND 55 MPH, EVEN WORSE ON HILLS. WE PULLED OVER AND ALLOWED CAR TO REST FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES. WE MANAGED TO GET HOME. THIS PROBLEM DID OCCUR ONCE OR TWICE OVER THE YEARS DURING DAILY CITY DRIVING BUT NEVER TO THIS EXTENT. OUR NORMAL DAY TO DAY DRIVING DOES NOT REQUIRE HIGHWAY/FREEWAY DRIVING.
VEHICLE WILL DECELERATE ON THE HIGHWAY WITH GAS PRESSED TO THE FLOOR. VEHICLE LOSES POWER AND I HAVE TO PULL OVER FOR THE ENGINE TO "COOL OFF" BEFORE PROCEEDING. IT HAPPENS ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION. I DON'T EVEN HAVE 100,000 MILES ON MY CAR, TRANSMISSION SHOULD NOT BE FAILING.
I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY WITH NO WARNING THE CAR STARTED TO LOSE POWER. WHEN I HIT THE GAS THE RPM WENT UP BUT NO POWER . FORTUNATELY I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND AVOID GETTING HIT. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON BUT WHEN PUT IN DRIVE /GEAR THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE . I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY HOME 30 MINUTES AWAY. THE MECHANIC LOOKED AT IT, THE CODE WAS FOR SPEED SENSOR. NOW LOOKING FOR A MECHANIC TO FIX IT . I EASILY COULD HAVE BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT .
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING MY CAR 4 DAYS AGO WITH HEAT ABOUT 90 DEGREES. THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND UNABLE TO ACCELERATE EVEN WITH FOOT ON GAS PEDAL. SHE WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND LET THE CAR REST FOR SEVERAL HOURS AND WAS ABLE TO GET HOME SAFELY. MY LOCAL MECHANIC SAID CODE PO744 TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH CIRCUIT NEEDS REPAIR. I BROUGHT TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP TODAY AND REPORT NO RECALLS (WHICH I KNOW IS INCORRECT) AS ALSO 500,000 VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. IF NISSAN DOES NOT PAY TO FIX THESE OBVIOUS CVT TRANSMISSION DEFECTS, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE OR RECOMMEND ANYONE WASTE A PENNY ON THIS BS COMPANY. NEVER AGAIN! WHY ISN'T US PROTECTING OUR CONSUMERS AGAINST THIS UNACCEPTABLE PRODUCT?!
MY TRANSMISSION HAS STARTED SOUNDING AS IF I HAVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION INSTEAD OF AUTOMATIC. IT ACTS AS IF IT IS WAITING FOR THE GEAR TO BE SHIFTED AT LOW SPEEDS AND HIGH SPEEDS. ALSO, DRIVING TO AUSTIN LAST WEEK, I NOTICE THAT I WAS NOT ABLE TO ACCELERATE PAST 60 ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE ISSUE WAS. MY MPG ALSO FLUTTERS BACK AND FORTH. AFTER ARRIVING BACK HOME I LOOKED UP SO INFORMATION AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS OTHER RODGERS OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. IF THIS IS THE CASE, I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHY THEY ARE STILL SELLING THEM. AND WHY THERE HAS NOT BEEN A MASSIVE RECALL. HAD I KNOWN THIS, I WOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN THIS VEHICLE. IF IT IS A KNOWN MANUFACTURER IF ISSUE, THE COMPANY SHOULD BE FIXING THESE PROBLEMS. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL, I GET MY CAR FIXED OR MONEY BACK.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR 2 HOURS OR MORE IT LOOSES SPEED. I WAS DRIVING BACK FROM TENESSE TO CHICAGO AND IT STARTED LOOSING RPM. I STARTED LOOSING SPEED AND HAD ISSUE GOING UP HILL. RPM WOULDN'T GO HIGHER THAN 2. I WAS IN A 70 MILE OPEN ROAD. EVENTUALLY I HAD TO PULL OVER AS I KEPT LOOSING SPEED. I GOOGLED THE ISSUE AND SAW COMPLAINTS IN SITES ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. I WAITED 10 MINUTES TURNED IT ON AND IT RAN FINE. 2 HOURS LATER I HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A RISK ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE FAMILIES LIKE MYSELF.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving 60-70 MPH, for approximately 30 minutes, the RPM revved up however, the vehicle started decelerating independently and was making abnormal whining sounds. There was no warning light illuminated. The accelerator pedal was depressed but the vehicle failed to respond and continued to decelerate. The contact veered to the side of the road for a moment. The contact continued driving however, the failure reoccurred after driving for 30 minutes. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that she needed to pay for a diagnostic test and repair. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
AS I AM DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED WITH MY CRUISE CONTROL ON, IT WILL ALL OF THE SUDDEN DROP ACCELERATION AND SHUTS OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. ANYTIME I DRIVE MORE THAN 30 MINUTES MY ACCELERATION DOESN'T WORK. THIS IS ESPECIALLY TRUE IF I STOP AT A STOPLIGHT AND IT TAKES A BIT BEFORE MY CAR WILL START DRIVING AGAIN. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I GET HIT FROM BEHIND BECAUSE CARS THINK I SHOULD BE MOVING BUT MY CAR IS INCAPABLE OF IT. THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY.
2 POWER DOORLOCKS DON'T WORK. HORN DOESN'T WORK. CRUISE CONTROL DOESN'T WORK. AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHING . AIR CONDITIONING WENT OFF SAME DAY AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. JUST STARTED IT UP.
WHEN DRIVING MY CAR WILL BE MOVING JUST FINE AND OUT OF NOWHERE I WILL LOOSE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THE CAR WILL GO UP TO 3 RPM AND STAY, WILL NOT GO FASTER WITH THE PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. THIS WILL HAPPEN WETHER THE CAR IS IN CRUISE CONTROL OR NOT. THE CAR WILL ALSO LOOSE ABILITY TO GO UP HILLS AND PROPERLY ACCELERATE FROM A STOP. THIS HAPPENED LAST SUMMER AND HAS BEEN FINE FINE THIS WINTER. FRIDAY IT STARTED AGAIN THIS TIME IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS ALMOST CAUSED A SEMI TO CRASH INTO US AS IT WENT FROM 70 MPH TO 50 VERY QUICKLY WITHOUT WARNING. THIS CAR IS NOT SAFE FOR THIS REASON. THEY ONLY WAY I KNOW TO FIX IT IS TO STOP, TURN OFF THE CAR AND WAIT. THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL FIX IT. I HAVE LOOKED INTO IT AND IT SEEMS TO BE AN ISSUE WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THIS CAR DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MILES TO WARRANT A NEW TRANSMISSION.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE 115,000.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 103,000.

CAR JUST HIT 85,000 MILES. MY NISSAN 2013 ROUGE IS DANGEROUS AND AN EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD. I'VE HAD NUMEROUS PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. WHILE DRIVING WITH MY FAMILY ON THE HIGHWAY FOR OVER 1.5 HRS. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 60 MPH. ANOTHER TIME WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING ON THE OH TURNPIKE 1 HOUR AWAY FROM HOME I LOST ACCELERATION WHILE GOING UPHILL AND COASTED TO AN AREA TO STOP. WHILE I WAS STOPPED THE CAR SMOKED AND IT WOULD NOT START UNTIL AFTER 30 MINUTES. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO A MECHANIC WHO INFORMED IT MAY BE MY TRANSMISSION AND HE ADVISED TO NOT GO OVER 60 MPH AND TO TAKE THE BACK ROADS HOME.
