TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING A POPPING NOISE WAS HEARD AS WELL AS SHE FELT THE VEHICLE DRAGGING. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND CHECKING UNDER THE HOOD SHE SO FLAMES IN THE RADIATOR AREA OF THE VEHICLE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE AND EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT STATED SHE ATTEMPTED TO NOTIFY THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO VERIFY HER INFORMATION AS THE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. ALSO, THE FRONT DRIVER, PASSENGER SIDE AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES HAD ALL BROKEN OFF PREVIOUSLY AND WERE REPLACED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE DOOR LOOK FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF A FAMILY MEMBER WHO OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE STARTED IDLING ROUGH WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIMING CHAIN WAS NOT REPLACED HOWEVER, THE CAMSHAFT AND VARIABLE VALVE TIMING WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,677.
I WAS DRIVING ON I-95, AND NEEDED TO ACCELERATE, I SLOWLY PRESSED IN THE GAS PEDAL, AND I NOTICE DECREASED ACCELERATION AND MY RPM WENT CRAZY! I PULLED OVER TO LET THE ENGINE REST, AFTER 20-30 MINUTES, I PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AGAIN AND LOST ACCELERATION POWER AGAIN! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD! VERY UNSAFE, FINALLY, I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION, ONLY BECAUSE I DROVE IN LOW GEAR, SCARY EVENT... VEHICLE STALLS OUT AND SLOWS DOWN WHILE IM DRIVING AND WANT SPEED BACK UP. ONLY GOES 30 IN A 70 ON THE HIGHWAY.
WINDSHIELD WIPERS ARE GOING ON AND OFF BY ITSELF EVEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT RUNNING IT STOPS IN MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD AND BLOCKS ME FROM SEEING THE ROAD ALSO WHEN IT RAINS ALOT I HAVE TO PULL OVER IN A RAIN. HAD TO GO TO THE DEALERSHIP AND GET IT FIXED AND BOTH PARTS DID NOT FIX IT AND THE PARTS ARE 25560-4BA1D SW COMPL-COMB AND 28810-4RA0A MOTOR ASSY-WIN AND THESE PARTS WERE INSTALLED ON 06/11/2020 AND IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING AS ABOVE.
THE LIFTGATE ON THIS NISSAN ROGUE HAS CONTINUOUSLY FAILED TO REMAIN IN THE UP/OPEN POSITION. ONCE ACTIVATED IT RISES UP TO ALLOW ACCESS TO REAR BUT THEN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DROPS 12 TO 15 INCHES THEREBY HITTING THE PERSON EITHER ON THE TOP OF THE HEAD OR IN THE FOREHEAD. IT TRULY IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION AND COULD CAUSE THE OWNER TO BECOME UNCONSCIOUS. THIS HAPPENS WHENEVER THE VEHICLE IS PARKED OR OTHERWISE NOT MOVING.. WHILE THIS CONDITION HAS CAUSED A NHTSA RECALL NISSAN INDICATES THAT THIS VIN IS NOT IN THE RECALL AS THE VEHICLE WAS PRODUCED IN A FACTORY DIFFERENT FROM THE RECALL. YET THE PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE IS IDENTICAL TO WHAT IS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THAT IT WILL COST BETWEEN $1500 AND $2000 TO REPAIR THE FAULTY STRUTS THAT ARE UNABLE TO KEEP THE LIFTGATE IN THE UP POSITION. THEY ARE TRYING TO PUT IF OFF AS "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR."
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that initially, the engine battery had to be replaced twice after an independent mechanic discovered corroded wiring which had caused her battery to drain. The contact then took the vehicle back to the dealer the vehicle where the vehicle was purchased and had a portion of her wiring repaired. Despite the repair, the contact stated that her backup camera and turn signals failed to operate as needed. The contact also stated that a burning odor would emit from her vehicle without warning. As the failure persisted, she took the vehicle to another independent mechanic where they discovered a leak(location unknown) inside the vehicle which had caused the corrosion and was the source of her electrical failure. While watching the news, the contact heard about NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000(ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) which she linked to her failure. The manufacturer was then notified and she was informed that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
SUPPLEMENTAL AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR FAILED TO UNLOCK WHILE USING THE KEY FOB. THE DOOR HAD TO BE OPENED MANUALLY. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT DRIVER'S SIDE REAR DOOR ALSO EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR FAILURE AND WAS REPAIRED BY THE (ED MARTIN OF FISHERS, 13397 BRITTON PARK ROAD, FISHERS, IN 46038). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED FOR THE FAILURE WITH THE DRIVER'S FRONT DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 152,172.
THE AIRBAG SENSOR ON THE PASSENGER SIDE HAS BEEN DIAGNOSED BY A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AS INOPERABLE AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE CAR HAS ONLY 58K MILES ON IT. CLEARLY THE FENCE FROM THE FIRST RECALL WHICH EFFECTED THOUSANDS OF OTHER 2014-2017 NISSAN ROGUES NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED. A PASSENGER SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER POSITION OF THE CAR IS NOT GOING TO BE PROTECTED BY FRONTAL AIRBAGS.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that there was mold and water damage odor inside the vehicle. The contact discovered that the front driver's side floorboard was significantly soaked. The contact stated that she placed towels on the floorboard to prevent water damage. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the driver's side floorboard was removed and replaced. The dealer advised the contact to purchase door seals for the front driver's side door to prevent water from leaking inside the vehicle. The contact installed the seals on the driver's side door; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.
SRS LIGHT COMES ON REMAINS ON - THIS IS AT ONLY 50,000 MILES. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN ROGUE. WHILE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED WHILE THE RPMS FLUCTUATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HENRY MOTORS NISSAN (LOCATED AT 2037 AV. LAS AMRICAS, PONCE, 00731, PUERTO RICO, 787-841-5226) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,000.
WHEEL BEARINGS - *TR
WATER LEAK IN DRIVERS FLOOR BOARD IN MY 2014 ROGUE, WHICH SOUNDS LIKE A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE 2014. IT IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WHICH THE DEALER SAID THEY CAN'T FIX. IT IS BEEN OUT SOURCED TO THE WATER DOCTOR. I DON'T THINK THIS IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY TO FIX WHEN I BOUGHT THIS CAR WITH THIS DEFECT UNAWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I STARTED TO NOTICE THIS LEAK A YEAR AGO. I WANT TO KNOW WHO I CAN HOLD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS PROBLEM?
Running lights are dim (30% as bright as new) due to failed cup reflectors in the headlight assembly.
THE AIRBAG WAS BEING RECALLED AND BROUGHT TO REPAIR SHOP TO FIX. NOW THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AGAIN AFTER IT WAS FIXED.
I HAVE WATER INTRUSION FROM THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO SEALANT DETERIORATION ON THE BODY. AS A RESULT THE FRONT DRIVER FLOOR AREA REMAINS WET AND HAS CAUSED SOME RUSTING.
MAKING A LOUD SQUEALING NOISE WHEN YOU ACCELERATE STARTING TO SLIP AT TIMES VERY DISAPPOINTING HAVE ONLY HAD THE SUV SINCE MARCH
This vehicle when driven in traffic or at a stop and go area will not accelerate at normal speed. The RPM goes up and the vehicle will not go. However when we’ve taken it to a mechanic or Nissan there is no issue with the transmission and when we turn the car off and the turn it back on the vehicle continues to work perfectly fine. No codes come up on the mechanic reading device and nothing shows as being wrong with the vehicle which leads me to believe it may be a recall. This is not only happening with my Nissan Rogue however it is happened in all Nissan Vehicles in general. I ask that you please look into this issue and figure out if it is a manufacturer malfunction.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE CONTACT WITH CASE NUMBER: 38205874. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. I BOUGHT MICHELIN TIRES (PREMIER LTX- 225/65 R17 102H SL BSW GM) WITH WARRANTY OF 60K MILES. I DROVE 25K MILES AND IT IS WORE OUT. I BOUGHT THE MOST EXPENSIVE TIRES AS IT IS MY FAMILY CAR. I COMPLAINED TO MICHELIN AND THEY DON'T THINK IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS IT IS PRORATED WARRANTY IT IS NOT A GUARANTEE. THEY COULDN'T ANSWER THE QUESTION THAT IF I TRUST THAT THE TIRES WILL RUN AROUND 60K AND THEY NEED CHANGE AT AROUND 25 IS CONSIDERED A PRODUCT FAILURE OR NOT, THEY MENTIONED THAT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND I HAVE TO CHANGE THE 4 TIRES. I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS IT AS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE TIRES ARE NOT SAFE AS ADVERTISED. MY COMPLAINT NUMBER AT MICHELIN IS [XXX]. WATER INTRUSION ON DRIVERS SIDE FLOORBOARD DURING RAIN. KNOWN ISSUE ON OTHER NISSAN VEHICLES WHERE WELDS WERE MISSED OR SEALS WERE OVERLOOKED. AS STATED IN OTHER RECALLS AND BULLETINS, THIS IS A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD AS CAN LEAD TO A SHORT IN KICK PANEL COMPONENTS. NISSAN REFUSES TO ADDRESS.
I WAS HEADED SOUTH ON THE I-5 (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA, LOTS OF CONSTANT TRAFFIC) WHEN MY CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING AFTER ABOUT 45 MINUTES. GOING UPHILL, I PUT MY PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND WASN'T GOING OVER 60MPH, MY RPMS REACHING ABOVE 4. MY CAR MADE A WHINING NOISE EVERY TIME I TRIED TO ACCELERATE. SO I PUT MY HAZARDS ON, TOOK THE CLOSEST EXIT, AND LET MY CAR REST FOR ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES. I GOT BACK ON THE FREEWAY AFTER RESTING AND NOT A MINUTE OR TWO LATER AND THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED. I PUT MY HAZARDS BACK ON AND JUST PULLED OFF ON THE SHOULDER, LETTING MY CAR REST AGAIN FOR ANOTHER 5-10 MINUTES. I TRIED AGAIN, NOW REACHING THE TOP OF THE HILL AND WAS ABLE TO FINALLY COAST DOWN THE HILL THE PROBLEM HAPPENING AGAIN, BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES BEFORE. THE FIRST IN THE BEGINNING OF JULY, THE SECOND AND THIRD AROUND AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER, AND THEN NOW. IT ONLY HAPPENS ON DRIVES ABOUT AN HOUR LONG (OR LONGER) WHEN I GO OUT OF TOWN.
VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS 70,300 MILES ON IT. VEHICLE BEGAN LOSING POWER WHILE ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH. THE RPMS WOULD GO UP AND DOWN AND THE VEHICLE WOULD JERK AS IF THE TRANSMISSION WAS TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT GEAR. WITH IN A FEW MINUTES, THERE WAS HARDLY ANY POWER TRANSFERRING TO THE WHEELS. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER. NO WARNING FOR TRANSMISSION FAILURE. DEALER RECOMMENDS CVT TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT FOR TRANSMISSION JUDDER.

CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEM POSSIBLY. THIS IS A WELL MAINTAINED VEHICLE. CAR STARTS TO DELAY IN DRIVE GEAR AND REVERSE. BUCKING AND IDLING AND REVING RPM WHILE DRIVING NORMAL SPEEDS. MANY OTHER NISSAN ROUGE OWNERS ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. NEARLY BEEN HIT ON THE ROAD AND HIGHWAY AT LEAST 3 TIMES. WHY ISN'T THIS ISSUE BEING LOOKED AT AND RECALLED?

REFERENCE 2014 NISSAN ROGUE VIN# [XXX]: 2014 NISSAN ROGUE WAS STUCK IN LOW GEAR ON 9/6/19. WE WERE STRANDED FORCING US TO ABANDON THE VEHICLE. WE PICKED UP THE CAR THE NEXT DAY AND IT SEEMS TO BE OPERATING FINE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME AND THE MOST SERIOUS INCIDENCE. THE FIRST TIME WAS A YEAR AGO WHERE IT WOULD NOT SHIFT. DRIVER DOOR ACTUATOR DOESNT WORK PROPER LOCKS DOOR AND CANT UNLOCK THEN SOMETIMES DOESNT LOCK ALL DOORS AT ALL
SO IN BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES I WAS DRIVING ON A FULL TANK OF GAS AND GOING THE SPEED LIMIT. THE FIRST TIME I NOTICED THAT MY CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING WAS WHEN I WENT OUT OF TOWN TWO MONTHS AGO. I WAS DRIVING THROUGH BUDA,TX FROM DALLAS ON THE HWY WHEN I NOTICED MY CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN IN SPEED AND DID NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE PASS 60MPH. LUCKILY, I WAS IN THE SLOW LANE AND WAS ABLE TO EXIT AND PARK MY CAR. I WAITED A FEW MINUTES BEFORE TAKING OFF AGAIN.IT TOOK A WHILE FOR THE CAR TO ACCELERATE AND PICK UP SPEED AGAIN ONCE I GOT BACK ON THE HWY (5 MINS). ON MY WAY BACK HOME FROM THAT SAME TRIP IT DID FINE. ANOTHER TIME IT HAPPENED AGAIN WAS THIS PAST WEEKEND WHEN I WAS ON MY WAY TO CANTON, TX. I HAD BEEN DRIVING A GOOD 45 MINS SOING 75 ON THE HWY. AS I APPROACHED THE STOP SIGN MY ROGUE DROVE FINE UNTIL I TURNED LEFT ON THE INTERSECTION AND MY CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN AND DID NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE PASS 10 MPH WHICH SCARED ME SINCE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION. I HIT THE GAS PEDAL TWICE AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE OVER THE BRIDGE. DURING BOTH OF THESE INSTANCES I DID NOT GET A WARNING ON MY DASHBOARD OR ANY OTHER SIGNS OF INDICATION. NOW IM AFRAID TO DEIVE MY CAR WHILE I HAVE MY BABIES WITH ME AFRAID THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN WHILE THEY ARE WITH ME.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
FUEL PROBLEM, VEHICLE STOP WHEN RUNNING IN THE ROAD ("ENGINE STOP)

AIRBAG SENSOR ISSUE. LIGHT COMING ON DASHBOARD. NISSAN DEALER ASKED FOR $140 FOR DIAGNOSTIC TEST BEFORE THE ISSUE CAN BE EVUALTED, BUT NISSAN ROGUE 2014 HAS RECALL ON THIS AIRBAG ISSUE.

I WAS DRIVING TWO HOURS STRAIGHT AT AROUND 65MPH. SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE LOST RPM'S. I TRIED TO GIVE MORE GAS, BUT IT WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 2000 RPMS. THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS AS PEOPLE WERE PASSING ME LEFT AND RIGHT AT ABOUT 65MPH AND I COULDN'T GO FASTER THAN 20. I COULDN'T GET OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. I PULLED OVER. TURNED OFF THE ROGUE, TURNED BACK ON. STILL HAD THE ISSUE. THERE WERE NOT WARNING LIGHTS. I LET THE CAR SIT FOR ABOUT 30 MINS. SUDDENLY IT WAS WORKING AGAIN. I DROVE IT HOME. THINKING THE ISSUE TO BE A COMPUTER FLUKE, I HAD THE ISSUE AGAIN THE FOLLOWING WEEK ON ANOTHER 2 HOUR DRIVE. SAME ISSUE. THIS TIME I CALLED NISSAN. THEY TOLD ME MY VIN DOES NOT FIT THE RECALL FOR THE OTHER ROGUES OF THE SAME YEAR THAT ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE. I'M GUESSING BECAUSE NHTSA DOES NOT LIST NISSAN ROGUE SELECT. THEY ONLY HAVE NISSAN ROGUE ON THE LIST. I WROTE IN SELECT ON MY OWN. I LOOKED UP THE PART ISSUE FOR THE ROGUE CVT ISSUE. IT'S THE SAME PART IN THE ROGUE SELECT. VEHICLE IS STATIONARY. WHEN OPENING THE REAR LIFT GATE, THE GATE GOES ALL THE WAY UP AND THEN COMES BACK DOWN TO ABOUT 5FT OFF THE GROUND. EVERYONE IS HITTING THEIR HEAD ON IT. WHEN I WAS LOOKING ONLINE TO SEE IF OTHERS HAD THE PROBLEM AND HOW TO FIX IT, I FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR MY YEAR ROGUE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN # 16V219000) BUT MY VIN DID NOT COME UP AS AFFECTED. THIS ISSUE STARTED OVER THE SUMMER, JUNE 2019. I LIVE IN RHODE ISLAND.

THE CVT TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH EXPERIENCES INTERMITTENT FAILURES WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE CANNOT MAINTAIN NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND SLOWS TO DANGEROUSLY SLOW SPEEDS FOR HIGHWAY DRIVING, FORCING THE VEHICLE TO PULL OFF. ONCE STOPPED, THE VEHICLE SOMETIMES CANNOT ACCELERATE TO EVEN 20 MPH. THIS CREATES A VERY DANGEROUS HIGHWAY SITUATION. I BELIEVE THERE ARE NUMEROUS NISSAN MODELS WITH THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM.
