Related to Recall 22V-024 (Campaign R21B9), main harness in electrical system has been corroded by chronic water intrusion into the vehicle. Water intrusion caused by defective drain plugs in front and rear of vehicle, prone by design to clog over time. Service Advisor at Stelly Nissan of Yorktown Heights has quoted me up to 10k in repair to fix components, which is not the fault of the vehicle owner. Said Advisor just passed this vehicle for NYS inspection on February 18th, 2026. Similar to above-cited campaign, electrical components in the vehicle have started to fail, e.g. radar system/lane departure, TPS, cameras and climate system. Vehicle now at risk for safety. *Please note: Year of manufacture: 2014 Place of assembly: Smyrna, Tennessee. Recall Population Failure." "My 2014 Rogue, built in Smyrna, TN, is exhibiting the exact electrical connector corrosion and 'wicking' failure described in Recall 22V-024. The current VIN population for this recall is insufficient and fails to include all affected vehicles from the Smyrna plant, leaving a documented fire hazard unaddressed. A clerical omission of your VIN does not mean the safety risk isn't present. The fact that my 2014 Smyrna-built Rogue has the exact defect described in the recall proves the NHTSA Recall Population is inaccurate for my vehicle. NYS Consumer Protection: Under the NYS Attorney General's Consumer Frauds Bureau, a manufacturer cannot ignore a known life-safety defect (fire risk) based on a clerical technicality when physical proof of the defect is provided. Dealership quoted 10,000 to repair a harness failure that is identical to the one covered under Recall 22V-024.
2014 Nissan Rogue Door Actuator malfunction. Driver door will not unlock to get in, whether using a fob or actual key and will not open to get out. Getting in and out of car in an emergency is imperative. It has not been inspected by anyone. There were no warning lights to indicate.

1.What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request?- battery terminals started leaking battery acids and bits of corrosive residues on electrical pigtails leading to other components. Ac compression / motor quit working. Yes is available forn inspection. 2.How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? - I'm not sure if battery acids are considered to be airborne toxins but you could smell aulfer almost like rotten eggs everytime I turned on the ac and then it stopped working. 3.Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? - I could not say for sure if it has or has not been. 4.Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? - currently not yet just bought the vehicle. Have so save more money to be able to afford a diagnostic/inspection of the issue. 5.Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? - no their was not other then the smell started around June 8th 2025 and component quit working June 10th 2025.
While driving the doors unlock & lock. The inside lights blink on & off
There is a water leak on the driver side floor and the body shop can figure out where it's coming from. My vehicle also had issues with the latch due to corrosion. The body shop was able to fix that issue. My navigation system and dash turns off and on as I am driving. The bodyshop can't find any issues with that either. Clear something is wrong with it.
Sun visor mirror plastic retaining clips broke causing mirrors to dangle from wires. One of the wires broke and made contact with the other lead. This caused a short that melted the wires in the head liner and started a fire. The short did not trip a fuse and the only way to stop the short in the wire and resulting fire was to disconnect the car battery.
Brought my car in awhile ago for a recall, water getting in wheel well, it was fixed. One week ago my power steering started to be unassisted and hard to drive. Made appointment with Nissan in Milford Ct. and it cost me 1200.00 to fix electrical from leak from sunroof that hasn’t worked for a great while, just wanted to know if it was solely my responsibility for electrical short causing my power steering to become unassisted.
The contact owns a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System) and the vehicle was repaired. Soon after the repair, the vehicle started to stall with several warning lights including the chassis system control, check engine, and transmission warning lights were illuminated. The dealer was notified of the failure and provided an estimate for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact's deceased mother owned a 2014 Nissan Rogue that was inherited by his son. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in his son's driveway in the rain. The contact stated that his son later noticed that the driver's side floorboard was filled with water. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System); however, the failure reoccurred while the vehicle was parked in the rain. The contact became aware of Nissan Technical Service Bulletin Number: NTB14-105A. The contact provided the TSB document to the dealer, who then repaired the vehicle based on the TSB instructions. The dealer discovered that the body sealing along the fire wall, below the driver's side windshield and behind the fender liners was not sealed, allowing water to leak onto the driver's side floorboard. The dealer resealed the body seal; however, upon picking up the vehicle from the dealer's parking lot, the contact noticed that the failure had reoccurred. The dealer removed the driver's seat and carpet and verified that there was no other potential water leak source. The dealer then reinstalled the seat and carpet after they had dried; however, the failure persisted. The dealer then informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle as they did not have a master technician. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 67,500.

The battery was immediately replaced. The contact stated that while making a right turn, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was restarted and driven to the residence. On another occasion, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds with the accelerator pedal depressed, the vehicle started to lose motive power and failed to accelerate as intended. The air bags, brake, battery, and check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the battery and starter relay needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 126,000.
Hello, I own a 2014 Nissan Rogue. The driver side window does not and has not functioned for the past year. In addition, there is a burning/fuel type odor present in interior of the vehicle. In October of 2021, I had taken my vehicle to Reedman Toll Nissan (Drexel Hill, PA) and paid $225 to have the window problem diagnosed and it was determined that there was an issue with the harness that caused the malfunction and that the wire harness needed to be replaced at upwards of $700. I opted out of the replacement at that time. In July 2022, returned to the same location for an annual inspection and the dealer wanted to charge the now $250 diagnosis fee that was just paid for months prior. At this time the recall was known and the remedy was announced yet the dealer did not address. Last week I returned to the same location to have the Recall R21B9 performed and the outcome that was noted was that no issues were found. Yet the window still does not function. There was not a clear indication as why it was deemed that the recall is not what is causing the window to not operate. I reached out to the service manager and got conflicting responses to that questions. I have reached out several times to Nissan Customer Relations and for clarity and was told that it was a "one time only" deal to bring the vehicle in to address the recall, even if the work was not completed on that visit. There has been no indication that Nissan is willing to fix a known, safety recall issue. Instead complete denial of the issue. I appreciate your attention to this matter.
The wiring seems faulty. The dash wiring is blinking, surging, and the vehicle won’t start at times. The starting issue is intermittent. Nissan acknowledged a recall on 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue for for having this wiring issue with these same symptoms. However, they are saying that this specific VIN does not have a recall for this wiring issue. Yet, all the symptoms are the same. They want $500 to even consider diagnostic testing rather than just checking for the same issue as all the others that are recalled for the same problem. This is a complete injustice that needs to be addressed.

The contact stated that he related the failure to the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V024000 (Electrical System) but instead of the driver's side foot well it was the passenger’s side. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed and replaced the drain tubes. The vehicle had been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 58,650.
I'm not happy with the recall! Nissan should have fixed this recall since it was reported 7 months ago. I'm not able to use my car the service that I bought it for. I need this fix ASAP.
