THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SEATBELT HAS BECOME FULLY RETRACTED AND IS CURRENTLY IN A LOCKED POSITION WHERE IT WILL NOT PULL OUT AT ALL. THERE HAS BEEN NO ACCIDENT AND NOTHING HAPPENED AT ALL INVOLVING THE AIRBAG ON THAT SIDE, THIS SITUATION HAS TAKEN PLACE ALL ON ITS OWN AND IS NOW PREVENTING ME FROM CARRYING ANY PASSENGERS IN THE FRONT SEAT DUE TO THE MALFUNCTIONING OF THAT PARTICULAR SEAT BELT. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED WHILE MY CAR WAS PARKED IN MY OWN PARKING SPACE WITH THE ENGINE TURNED OFF.
I HAVE BEEN PULLED OVER TWICE NOW BECAUSE OF PASSENGER HEADLIGHT OUT, AND ALSO THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHTS OUT. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE BULBS BOTH LIGHTS WERE IN WORKING ORDER. THE HEADLIGHT WAS WORKING WHEN I FIRST STARTED DRIVING. IT QUIT WHILE IN MOTION. THE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT QUIT WORKING ON A DIFFERENT OCCASION AND I AM NOT 100% SURE IF IT WORKED WHEN I FIRST STARTED TO DRIVE. I WAS PULLED OVER AND GIVEN A TICKET. THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO NEAREST AUTO PARTS STORE AND PURCHASED NEW BULBS. WHEN I WENT TO REPLACE BOTH BULBS THEY WERE BOTH WORKING. I OBVIOUSLY AM UNABLE TO SAY IF THEY BOTH QUIT WHILE DRIVING, HOWEVER I NOW CHECK ALL LIGHTS BEFORE DRIVING ANYWHERE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 20 MPH AND EXITING OFF A CROSS RAMP ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED FALMOUTH MOTOR CAR (45 MA-28A, CATAUMET, MA 02534) AND WAS PROVIDED AN ESTIMATE TO REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION. THE CONTACT DECLINED AND THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 116,000.
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND TRANSMISSION WENT! CAR STOPPED DRIVING COMING OFF THE HIGHWAY RAMP. LOW MILEAGE FREQUENT TUNE UPS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD BY MULTIPLE FACILITIES THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO MY CAR WHICH IS ONLY A 2016 I HAVE HAD IT FOR 3 YEARS, ONLY 116K MILES. CAR JUST STOPPED DRIVING MID EXIT.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE IN 2016 BRAND NEW. NOT EVEN A YEAR INTO OWNING THE VEHICLE, AT 12,497 MILES ON 5/1/2017, MY AC STOPPED WORKING AND NOTHING WAS BLOWING OUT OF THE VENTS. THE PART THAT WAS REPAIRED/REPLACED ON MY INVOICE STATES, "RPL THERMISTOR/THERMO CONTROL AMPLIFIER. THE AC STOPPED WORKING A SECOND TIME AT 14,976 MILES ON 8/14/2017. THIS TIME, THE PART THAT WAS REPAIRED/REPLACED ON THE INVOICE STATES, "RPL FAN & MOTOR". MY AC STOPPED WORKING A THIRD TIME AT 54,644 MILES ON 6/10/2020. THE PART THAT WAS REPAIRED/REPLACED ON THE INVOICE STATES, "RPL BLOWER RESISTOR/CONTROL AMPLIFIER." THIS TIME, I FINALLY REPORTED IT TO NISSAN AND THEY GAVE ME A "GOODWILL ADJUST" WHERE THEY OFFERED TO PAY 70% OF THE REPAIRS DUE TO BEING OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY. YOU ARE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS, BUT IT HAPPENED A FOURTH TIME AT 60,509 MILES ON 1/5/2021, BUT THIS TIME IT WAS DURING THE WINTER AND THE HEAT WOULD NOT COME OUT OF THE BLOWERS. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT TRIED TO DIAGNOSE MY VEHICLE ($140 DIAGNOSIS FEE) SAID THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO TAKE APART THE ENTIRE DASHBOARD (WHICH WOULD BE 1-2 HOURS OF LABOR AT $140/HOUR) BECAUSE THEY "TRACED AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE WITHIN THE DASHBOARD HARNESS, WOULD NEED FURTHER DIAG IN ORDER TO CONFIRM REPAIR NEEDED". BASICALLY, THE SERVICE ADVISOR WHO CALLED ME FROM THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THEY ALREADY NEED TO REPLACE THE PART THAT WAS JUST INSTALLED 6/10/2020 (NOT EVEN 6 MONTHS AGO) BECAUSE IT IS AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE, THEY WOULD MOST LIKELY NEED TO REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR, AND EITHER REPAIR OR REPLACE WIRING, WHICH COULD BE OVER $4,000 TO REPLACE THE DASHBOARD HARNESS. I CONTACTED NISSAN AGAIN AND EXPLAINED THAT THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING ISSUE SINCE 12,497 OF OWNING THE VEHICLE AND BECAUSE THEY ALREADY HELPED ME ONCE OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY, THEY WILL NOT HELP ME AGAIN.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, and while the vehicle was idling, the vehicle stalled without warning. Several attempts were needed before the vehicle regained proper functionality. The failure occurred mostly while driving. Several warning lights illuminated intermittently. Additionally, the trunk failed to latch securely. The rear seat belts failed to retract. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had not been made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 170,000.
CLOGGED SUNROOF DRAINS HAVE CAUSE THE CABIN OF THE CAR TO GET A LOT OF WATER. CONDENSATION/WATER BUILDUP ON THE INTERIOR OF WINDSHIELD IS CONSTANTLY OCCURRING CAUSING MY ABILITY TO SEE OUT THE WINDSHIELD TO BE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE. LITTLE ELECTRICAL ISSUES HAVE BEEN HAPPENING, SUCH AS TURN SIGNAL BULBS GOING OUT. THE VEHICLE NOW HAS A VERY MOLDY/MILDEW SMELL THAT'S PROBABLY KILLING MY LUNGS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE S FWD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CURVE OF THE ROAD. ONCE THIS OCCURRED, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE CAUSING THEM TO END UP IN FRONT COLLISION WITH AN EIGHTEEN WHEELER. THE AIR BAGS DID DEPLOY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED TOTALED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED INJURIES ON THE ENTIRE RIGHT SIDE OF THEIR BODY AND MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A CERTIFIED MECHANIC STATED THAT IT SEEMED AS IF THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING HAD FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. *DT*JB
I drove my car home, turned it off, went into my house to change, went to leave approximately 30 min later and the car wouldn’t start. Brought to Nissan dealership. Who indicated that multiple u1000 codes stored due to no communication with ecm. Burning smell from ecm connector and fans on high. Required ecm. They then further stated ipdm fuses had blackened, ipdm inoper. The ecm was covered by warranty but the ipdm was not covered. Blackening seems to be indicative of burning.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that when entering the vehicle on cold days, ice and frost was present inside the front windshield causing a visibility hazard for the driver. Additionally, there was water present on the front driver’s side floorboard which came from under the dashboard. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
During the winter months, when the temperature is below 30 degrees and the car has been sitting all night, the vehicle has to be run about 5 minutes or one can't go over 15 mph. The RPM's will run at a steady 2000 until the car is warmed up and then can be driven without difficulty. I cannot give a particular date on this occurance. I bought used and happens every winter. Took into Nissan dealership and they cannot find anything wrong.
WAS DRIVING CAR AND TRANSMISSION DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO REPAIR SHOP AND NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION. NISSAN ONLY COVERS UP TO 60000 MILES AND I AM OVER THAT SO IF IS COSTING ME $5000 TO REPLACE IT
FIRST THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND THE SLIP INDICATOR (OR TRACTION CONTROL) LIGHT FOR THE VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL WOULD COME ON AND OFF WHILE DRIVING BOTH ON THE HIGHWAY AND OTHER ROADS. THEN ONE DAY, I WENT TO START MY CAR AND ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING AND IT WOULDN'T START. WE BOUGHT JUMPER CABLES AND JUMPED IT BUT IT STILL WOULDN'T START THE NEXT DAY. SO I BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND IT WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK. THEN WHILE DRIVING TO WORK, THE SLIP INDICATOR (TRACTION CONTROL) LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND IT WOULDN'T GO ABOVE 20 MPH AND I HAD TO FLOOR THE GAS TO EVEN GET IT TO GO TO THAT SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS JERKING SO BAD, I HAD TO PULL OVER. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO MY MECHANIC AND IT TURNS OUT IT NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION WITH UNDER 100,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AND ONLY 4 YEARS OLD WHEN IT HAPPENED! THIS CAR HAS BEEN WELL TAKEN CARE OF WITH REGULAR SERVICING.
THE TRANSMISSION ON THIS CAR BEGAN SLIPPING AND REFUSED TO GO INTO GEAR. IT CLUNKED AND BUCKED ALONG AT LOW SPEEDS. ONCE IN DRIVE IT WAS FINE, BUT WOULD NOT GO INTO ANOTHER GEAR. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT HOME AND THERE IS HAS SAT UNTIL 12/28/20 WHEN WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT TOWED. WHEN WE TRIED TO GET IT INTO GEAR, IT WOULD NOT MOVE FROM PARK TO NEUTRAL EVEN. WE DID NOT GO TO A DEALER AS THEY WERE TWICE AS FAR AS THE MECHANIC WE FOUND. NISSAN REFUSED TO CONSIDER A RECALL OR ISSUE EVEN WITH A SETTLED LAWSUIT ON OTHER CVT TRANSMISSIONS. THEY WOULDN'T EVEN PAY FOR THE TOW AND SIMPLY SAID "SORRY".
THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING ON THIS VEHICLE AND ISN'T PART OF THE MODELS THAT WAS RECALLED BUT IS THE SAME YEAR AS THE OTHER RECALLS.
LIFTGATE TO TRUNK TO NISSAN ROGUE WILL NOT LATCH AND FLOWN DOWN TO SHUT NOR WOULD IT LOCK NIR SHUT AND THE BUTTON WILL NOT MAKE GO DOWN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FOX NISSAN OF GRAND RAPIDS (4430 28TH ST SE, GRAND RAPIDS, MI 49512, (616) 942-8040) BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE LOCAL DEALER HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000. *BF*JB
2016 NISSAN ROGUE, I HAVE TAKEN IN TWICE FOR THE PASSENGER DOOR WARNING LIGHT BEING ON, THAT THE DOOR IS OPEN , BUT THE DOOR IS CLOSED, THEY SAID THEY FIXED IT, THE FIRST TIME IT DID LAST LONG THEN 2 ,MONTHS AGO I TOOK IT IN AGAIN, THEY SAID THEY FIXED, BUT NOW IT IS BACK IN AGAIN 10/28/ 2020 AND IT IS GOING TO COST ME AGAIN FOR THEM LOOK AT IT, THIS IS WITH THE CAR IN MOTION GOING DOWN THE STREET
DRIVER SIDE AIRCON IS COLD AND PASSENGER SIDE IS HOT EVEN IF BOTH SETTING IS SET TO 90 DEGREES. THE DEALER DID NOT MENTIONED THIS WHEN WE BOUGHT THE CAR. FRONT VENT BLOWING COLD AIR AS WELL WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING COLD CONDITIONS.
The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal without warning. She also stated that the vehicle would stall upon the depression of the accelerator pedal to the floorboard with an unknown red warning light intermittently flashing on the instrument panel. Additionally, she mentioned that the trunk would fail to open and that the passenger’s side airbag warning light would intermittently illuminate without an occupant in the seat. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
THE ELECTRICAL AND BODY MODULES MALFUNCTION ,THE ENGINE WOULDN'T SHUT OFF, TRIED TO DISCONNECT BATTERY AND IT DIDN'T WORK ,FINALLY AFTER PULLING THE FUSE FOR THE FUEL IT SHUT OFF, BUT COULDN'T START THE ENGINE BACK ON. HAD TO BE TOW TO THE GARAGE AND I WAS TOLD THE WARRANTY ONLY COVER ONE OF THE TWO MODULES THAT WERE BAD. THE TOTAL BILL $1200.
ROGUE TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A MAIN ROAD. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS WERE ON. VEHICLE THEN WOULD SLOWLY SHUTTER AND AFTER A WEEK WOULD SHUTTER EVEN MORE BETWEEN 20-45 MPH. AFTER 60 MPH, THE CAR WOULD STRART TO REV ON ITS OWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. IT ALSO STARTING HUMMING WITH ACCELERATION AND RATTLE WHEN I WOULD LET GO OF THE GAS PEDAL. SHIFTING INTO REVERSE WOULD TAKE MORE THAN 10 SECS TO SHIFT, AND SAME WITH GOING INTO DRIVE. THE WARMER THE CAR WAS, THE MORE IT SHUTTERED.
NOTICED VEHICLE WAS HAVING TROUBLE WHEN INTERMITTENT PAUSES OCCURED WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY. I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF MY CAR, SO LIMITED MY DRIVING TO CLOSE IN-TOWN TRIPS UNTIL I COULD GET IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE. DROVE 2 MILES YESTERDAY (09/10/20) AND IT STARTED JUTTING AND IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE.
I have been having issues with the transmission in my 2016 Nissan Rogue. At the date of the filing of a class action lawsuit regarding this issue there were 38 complaints lodged with the NHTSA regarding this same issue, for just that year of the model. That total does not include any complaints regarding the Pathfinder, Altima, Infinity, Versa, or Sentry, or prior or consecutive years of the Rogue, even though there are multiple complaints regarding the issue. The NHTSA does not seem to be concerned with the safety of those that have filed complaints regarding this issue, as they have not ordered a recall. I was even informed earlier that there were no complaints on record, so either the representative did not look closely enough, or at all. To explain the issue all you have to do is look at all other complaints regarding the CVT issue in the Nissan models, lack of acceleration, increased rpms due to revving, lagging when driving, increased shaking when stopped. Please take the complaints serious and have Nissan fix the defect that they are more than aware of. Nissan only acknowledges a problem after warranty expires, and now they are minimally extending warranties to address problem, but most have already gone over mileage extension. This needs to be addressed as an imminent safety issue.
THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO PRODUCE LOUD GRINDING NOISES WHEN DECELERATING IN AUGUST OF 2020. IT WAS DIAGNOSED AT THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER WITH A DEFECTIVE TRANSFER CASE. IT IS NOW SEVEN MONTHS LATER, MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN THE SERVICE CENTER FOUR TIMES (IN ONE INSTANCE, IT WAS IN THE SERVICE CENTER FOR 30 DAYS) AND IT IS NOT FIXED, AND IT WAS WORSE THAN BEFORE. IT CONSTANTLY SHUDDERS AND IS INCREDIBLY LOUD NOW WHEN ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING. DESPITE BEING UNDER THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY IT IS STILL NOT REPAIRED. NISSAN CONTINUOUSLY KEEPS PLACING NEW TRANSFER CASES IN MY CAR WITHOUT INVESTIGATING THE CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THIS IS OUR FAMILY VEHICLE WE USE TO TRANSPORT MY INFANT DAUGHTER AND I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE HER IN THIS CAR DUE TO THE CHANCE THAT THE TRANSMISSION MAY FAIL ENTIRELY.
THE CAR DIED WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH. IT SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER AND SHE WAS ABLE TO COAST TO A STOP. THE STEERING AND BRAKES WORKED, BUT THERE WAS NO POWER FROM THE ACCELERATOR THEN THE CAR JUST TURNED OFF.
MY 2016 NISSAN ROGUE STALLED SUDDENLY WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING IT AT 25 MPH. AFTER 3 DAYS OF INVESTIGATION IT TURNS OUT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD NOT BEEN PROPERLY SECURED AND THE CASING WORE OFF FROM RUBBING UP AGAINST THE CAR, CAUSING A SHORT THAT CAUSE A FAILURE OF THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE. HAD THIS HAPPENED AT HIGH SPEED, SHE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED.
I HAVE A 2026 NISSAN ROGUE AND WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE. THOUGHT I GOT BAD GAS BECAUSE I COULD PUSH THE ACCELERATOR AND NOT GO ANY FASTER. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD IT TESTED. IT IS SHOWING P2004 INTAKE MANIFOLD RUNNER CONTROL STUCK OPEN BANK 1. I KNOW SOME NISSAN'S HAVE A RECALL ON THIS BUT NOT MY VIN NUMBER. WAS WONDERING IF THIS IS A ISSUE WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND IF WOULD BE A RECALL AT SOME POINT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY PULLED THE VEHICLE OVER AND WHEN THEY ATTEMPTED TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE AGAIN, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REGAIN POWER. THE CONTACT HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE JUMPED STARTED. THE VEHICLE REGAINED POWER EXCEPT FOR THE HEADLAMPS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER OR CERTIFIED MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,000.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD, MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY EXPERIENCED ISSUES WITH ITS CVT. THE VEHICLE WAS OVERWORKING AND IN 4TH GEAR GOING 20 MPH ON A RURAL ROAD. THIS OCCURRED WITHIN A MONTH AFTER AN INSPECTION, WITH MY VEHICLE PASSING WITH FULL MARKS. THE NISSAN CVT IS FLAWED AND SHOULD BE RECALLED.
WHEN IN GEAR (DRIVE, REVERSE, LOW) THE CAR WILL VIBRATE CONSTANTLY AS WELL AS AT A STOP NOT JUST WHILE DRIVING. THE SEATS ARE CONSTANTLY MOVING (VIBRATING, CREAKING WHILE TURNING) WHEN SPEEDING UP IT HESITATES TO SHIFT OR SHIFTS ROUGH.

I PURCHASE A 2016 NISSAN ROGUE ON JULY 27,2019. ON AUGUST 20 I TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND STATED THAT THE CAR HAVE VIBRATION, CLICK SOUND , THE HOOD WAS LIKE IT WAS GOING POP UP IF I WENT MORE THAN 65MPH AND WAS LIKE YOU HAD GIVE A LOT GAS FOR IT TO GO. THE SAY THEY CHECK OUT AND NOTHING WAS WRONG. ONE DAY I WAS DRIVING DOWN AND HAD TO PUSH PETAL ALL WAY DOWN AND THE CAR WAS STILL ONLY GOING ABOUT 20 MPH BUT THE RPM WAS AT LIKE 5. WAS SACRED FEELING TOOK CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY NOTHING WAS WRONG. THEN ON JAN 1,2020 COMING DOWN 95 SOUTHBOUND AND MY WHOLE DASH BORED LIGHTS CAME ON . I BELIEVE IT WAS EVERY SINGLE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. WAS TOLD THAT MY ABS WAS BAD AND IT WAS GOING COST AROUND 3800 TO BE REPLACED. MY CAR STAYED AT NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR OVER 2 MONTHS. ONCE I RECEIVE MY CAR BACK STILL COMPLAIN ABOUT THE VIBRATION AND HOOD. AGAIN WAS TOLD SINCE IT'S NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THERE'S NO PROBLEM. ON JULY 17 MY CHECK ENGINE CAME ON AND MY RPM WAS GOING UP TO LIKE 5. DROP MY CAR TO NISSAN TO HAVE LIGHT CHECK OUT WAS TOLD THAT THERE'S WASN'T A LIGHT ON ONCE THEY PULL MY CAR IN SHOP. AGAIN NO ANSWER. ON AUGUST 8 MY CAR WAS LIKE I HAD PUSH PEDAL ALL WAY AND IT WAS GOING LIKE 25 MPH AND RPM WAS AT 4 BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK MY CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS MY TRANSMISSION. NOW THAT MY WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED JUST THE END OF JULY 2020 I CAN RECEIVE A DIAGNOSTIC IF PROBLEM. BUT I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS THINGS THE WHOLE YEAR I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE. I SEE THAT THERE ARE KNOW PROBLEM WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS IN ROGUE. I SEE WHERE THE WARRANTY HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR CVT TRANSMISSION SO WHY THAT DOESN'T APPLY TO MY VEHICLE?
2016 NISSAN ROGUE, 84, 000 MILES. VEHICLE BEGAN HAVING TROUBLE SHIFTING GEARS WHILE DRIVING IT. SHUDDERING AND JERKING. RPM'S FLUCTUATING ALL OVER THE TACH. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOL IT TO MY MECHANIC TO PULL THE CODES, WHICH THEY DID, AND THEY REFERRED ME TO THE DEALERSHIP. ON MY WAY HOME, DURING WHICH THE VEHICLE COULD GO NO MORE THAN 25 MILES AN HOUR, IT COMPLETELY LOST POWER ON A SMALL INCLINE. REVERSE AND DRIVE DID NOT WORK. I HAD TO HAVE SOMEONE PUSH THE CAR BACK OUT OF THE INTERSECTION IT WAS STUCK IN. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. PROBLEM IS THE CVT TRANSMISSION.
TRANSMISSION FAILED. DRIVING ON FREEWAY AND THE CAR LOST TOTAL POWER. RPM REV HIGH NO POWER. COASTED TO A STOP. TRIED TO SHIFT IN DIFFERENT GEARS AND DOES NOT RESPOND. CAR WILL NOT DRIVE MORE THAN 15 MILES PER HOURS AND THE TRANSMISSION IS THING TO SHIFT TO DIFFERENT GEARS.
DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSIONS JERK, STALL, SHUDDER, HESITATE, AND EVEN SUFFER FROM PREMATURE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. UNEXPECTED SURGE OF POWER FROM THE ENGINE. I CARRIED IT IN THE NISSAN CROSSROADS WAKE FOREST NC. THEY TOLD ME CVT UNIT NEEDS REPLACING. THE VEHICLE LEFT ME STRANDED ON INTERSTATE 40 DRIVING BACK FROM MORRISVILLE NC FROM WORK. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES I FINALLY GOT IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AT 11PM LEAVING ME STALLED AGAIN . I COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 92,612 MILES. NISSAN WON'T TAKE ANY INTEREST IN PAYING FOR THE REPAIRS EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE HAD LAWSUITS ALONG WITH MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THEIR CVT TRANSMISSION. I'M A SINGLE MOM WORKING DURING THIS COVID VIRUS TO SHIPPER MYSELF AND MY CHILD WITH NO OTHER INCOME. THIS VEHICLE IS TOO NEW TO HAVE THESE PROBLEMS. I HAVE TO DRIVE AN HOUR TO WORK AND AN HOUR BACK. I NEED A VEHICLE ASAP . I'M STILL LOCK IN PAYMENTS WITH THIS VEHICLE AND CANNOT AFFORD TO TRADE WITH THIS VEHICLE MALFUNCTIONING.

I FIRST NOTICED THIS WHILE DRIVING HOME ON MY STREET WITH A SPEED LIMIT OF 45 IT HAPPENED WHEN I WAS ACCELERATING AND FROM THEN ON IT WOULD HAPPEN RANDOMLY. EITHER ON THE HIGHWAY, A CITY STREET, STARTING FROM A COMPLETE STOP MY CAR STARTED TO JUMP, SHUDDER/SHAKE, STALL, AND VIBRATE, WHICH HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. THERE WILL BE TIMES WHERE I AM PUT IN A DANGEROUS SITUATION AS I CANNOT CONTROL THE CARS ACCELERATION AND IT WILL SPEED UP VERY RAPIDLY OR NOT ALLOW ME TO SPEED UP AT ALL. UPON PICKING CAR UP, NOISE STILL THERE AND UPON FURTHER INSPECTION CVT TRANMISSION ASSEMBLY REPLACED. UPON PICKING UP THIRD TIME, GRINDING NOISE EASILY HEARS WHEN ACCELERATING. ALL ISSUES OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING, AND LUCKILY TRANSMISSION DID NOT FAIL. CONCERN NOT ONLY ABOUT TRANSMISSION ISSUE PREVALENT IN OTHER NISSAN MODELS INCLUDING OLDER ROGUES, BUT DEALER CONTINUING TO RETURN VEHICLE WHEN EASILY DISCERNIBLE TO NON-MECHANIC THAT ISSUES HAVE NOT BEEN CORRECTED.

THE OTHER DRIVER HAD A SPRAINED BACK. ALL PARTIES SOUGHT MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY AS THE FRONT END WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS OPENED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE BACK IN CONTACT IN A FEW DAYS. THE DEALER BOB RICHARDS NISSAN (5590 JEFFERSON DAVIS HWY, BEECH ISLAND, SC 29842) WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE CONTACT OF HIS OPTIONS IF THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED TOTALED INCLUDING GAP INSURANCE. MY FIANCES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON IN HER 2016 NISSAN ROGUE. I WANTED TO SEE WHAT PROBLEMS WOULD PRESENT THEMSELVES. UPON TAKING IT FOR A TEST DRIVE RIGHT AWAY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE I NOTICED THE ENGINE WAS SHAKING AND COULD BE FELT THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE, SIMILAR TO A COMPLAINT FILED I SAW ON THE WEBSITE (NHTSA ID NUMBER: 11266446). I ALSO NOTICED THAT STRONG FUMES WERE COMING INTO THE CABIN OF VEHICLE AS WELL. DRIVING THE VEHICLE AROUND A FEW BLOCKS I NOTICED IT WAS HAVING A HARD TIME ACCELERATING AND FELT LIKE IT HAD A MISFIRE TO IT AS WELL. I GOT A DIAGNOSTIC TEST DONE ON THE ROGUE AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE INTAKE MANIFOLD AND THAT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM IN THE NISSAN ROGUE, BOTH BY CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE AND BY THE PARTS DEPARTMENT AT THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP. THE PART ITSELF WOULD COST OVER 400 DOLLARS FROM THE DEALERSHIP IF I WAS TO REPLACE IT MYSELF AND OVER 1200 DOLLARS PARTS AND LABOR IF I LET CHRISTIAN BROTHERS AUTOMOTIVE DO THE WORK. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE REPLACEMENT INTAKE MANIFOLD WAS A NEWER UPDATED MODEL WHICH IS ANOTHER BIG REASON FOR THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE CLEARLY THEY KNOW THIS IS A PROBLEM AND THEY WANT THE CUSTOMERS TO PICK UP THE BILL INSTEAD OF THEM OWNING UP TO THEIR FAULTY TECHNOLOGY AND REPLACING IT THEMSELVES. *TR
