VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING STALLING ON A STOP AND HESITATING IN REVERSE FOR APPROXIMATELY 4 MONTHS. THOUGHT IT WAS DUE TO FUEL PUMP ISSUES. THEN, HEARD A LOUD CLICKING NOISE WHEN I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE TO SLOW. WAS TOLD MY TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NISSAN HAS AN EXTENDED 120,000 WARRANTY ON TRANSMISSION. MY VEHICLE HAD 120,815 MILES. THEY ONLY REPLACED 50%, CAUSING ME TO PAY $1500. THESE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION CLEARLY HAVE A SIGNIFICANT DEFECT CAUSING THESE ISSUES THAT NISSAN HAS ACKNOWLEDGED BY DOUBLING THE WARRANTY, BUT THIS IS INSUFFICIENT. THE TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED. I SHOULD NOT HAVE PAID ANYTHING FOR THE REPAIRS. ADDITIONALLY, THE REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSION WAS A NISSAN REMANUFACTURED WITH REFURBISHED PARTS, NOT NEW. BASED ON THE NUMEROUS CONSUMERS REPORTING THEY HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TRANSMISSIONS IN THESE VEHICLES 2 OR 3 TIMES, I WILL NOT BE KEEPING THIS VEHICLE, NOR WILL I EVER BUY A NISSAN PRODUCT AGAIN. *TR
2007 NISSAN SENTRA FAILED TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND IMPACTED WITH AN SUV AT APPROXIMATELY 35MPH. HOOD, FRONT BUMPER AND FRONT GRILL NEED A COMPLETE REPLACEMENT DUE TO DAMAGE. ALTHOUGH DRIVER WAS WEARING A SEATBELT AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT, MODERATE NECK AND BACK INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED. AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. *TR
I STARTED MY CAR TO GO TO WORK AND AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON FLASHING.IT HAS BEEN ON EVER SINCE.NOW MY PASSENGER AIR BAG STAYS OFF NO MATTER IF SOMEONE IS IN THE SEAT OR NOT?I WORRY ABOUT PASSENGERS NOW SO NO ONE CAN DRIVE WITH ME.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON IN THE CAR. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF SIGN IS ON, THERE IS SOME KIND OF FAULT WITH THE AIRBAG SYSTEM OR FAULT. I SPOKE TO DEALER ABOUT ANY RECALLS, THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE ANY AND IT WAS GOING TO COST 100'S OF DOLLARS JUST TO DIAGNOSE WHAT WAS GOING ON. I THINK THIS IS VERY UNSAFE AND A SAFETY ISSUE AND DEALER SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE TO FIX. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, MY 2007 NISSAN SENTRA LOST POWER THREE TIMES. ALL WARNING SIGNAL LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH EACH TIME. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE AND ALL WARNING LIGHTS ON THE DASH DISAPPEARED. THE VEHICLE DROVE FINE FOR ABOUT ANOTHER MILE OR SO UNTIL IT CUT OFF AGAIN. SHUT THE FRONT PASSENGER DOOR AND THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED FROM THE DOOR AND SEAT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED OVER RAILROAD TRACKS, THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO SOME TREES. THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED FACIAL LACERATIONS, BROKEN RIBS AND PUNCTURED LUNGS. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED A CONTUSION TO THE SPLEEN, HEAD INJURIES, LACERATIONS TO THE SHOULDERS AND TWO FRACTURED BONES IN HIS BACK. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TAKEN TO A SALVAGE YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
WHILE AT A RED LIGHT WAITING FOR IT TO TURN GREEN THE ENGINE SPUTTERED, THE RPM'S REVVED UP REALLY HIGH, THEN THE ENGINE SUDDENLY CUT OFF. LUCKILY MY HUSBAND, WHO WAS DRIVING, WAS ON A CITY STREET AT THE TIME BUT HAD TO EVENTUALLY CROSS A BRIDGE AND WAS EXTREMELY NERVOUS DOING SO. I HAVE A SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT AT MY LOCAL NISSAN DEALER TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A SCARY SITUATION AND CAUSES EXTREME ANXIETY IN ME KNOWING THAT THE ENGINE COULD CUT OFF AT ANY MOMENT AND POSSIBLY CAUSING A CRASH AND/OR FATALITY. *TR
I WAS DRIVING DOWN 114 IN GRAPEVINE, TX HEADING TOWARD SOUTHLAKE, TX. THE ENGINE STUTTERED AND THEN SHUTDOWN AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I COASTED TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY. I NOTICED SMOKE COMING OUT FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE HOOD. I GOT OUT TO POP THE HOOD TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. WHEN I TRIED TO LIFT THE HOOD FLAMES WERE SHOOTING OUT. I STEPPED BACK AND CALLED 911. WITH IN 3 MINUTES THE CAR WAS ENGULFED AND WAS A TOTAL LOSS. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SHOWED UP AND PUT THE FIRE OUT. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A GRINDING SOUND COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE SOUND WOULD STOP ONCE THE VEHICLE REACHED A CERTAIN SPEED, BUT CONTINUED ONCE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED NUMEROUS TIMES AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER TO BE REPAIRED ACCORDING TO AN UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER RECALL. THE TECHNICIAN REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 12 MPH INTO A PARKING LOT, THE DRIVERS SEAT, AIR BAG AND THE CURTAIN AIR BAG DEPLOYED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A MINOR BURN TO HIS LEFT ARM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. A FIELD TECHNICIAN INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND CONCLUDED THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYMENT WAS NOT CAUSED BY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,100 AND THE APPROXIMATE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 65,300.
MY CAR'S POWER STEERING STOP WORKING. ACCORDING TO NISSAN I NEED A NEW POWER STEERING COLUMN, PRICE 1795.00 TO LABOR AND TAX. THEY HAVE A RECALL ON THE NISSAN SENTRA 2007 FOR THIS SAME REASON BUT FOR SOME REASON MY CAR'S VIN IS NOT ONE OF THE RECALLED ONES. I THINK IF MY CAR HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE OTHER CARS IT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. *JS

HAD AUTO ACCIDENT INVOLVING A CALIFORNIA LA COUNTY PARKS UTILITY TRUCK 4-6 TONS DROVE INTO PASSENGER REAR BUMPER AT APPROXIMATELY 55-65 MPH. DRIVER FLED SCENE. DRIVER, PASSENGER AND SIDE AIRBAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY CAUSING INJURIES. OC NISSAN CALLED ME ABOUT RECENT MAINTENANCE AND WHEN I TOLD THEM ABOUT THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOYING THE SERVICE CALLER HANGED THE PHONE UP ON ME. *TR
8/20/13 @ 50115 MILES: VEHICLE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND BLINKING. NISSAN TECH FOUND HISTORY CODE 1086 STORED. L/F PRETENSIONER FAILED. TECH PERFORMED AIR BAG SYSTEM REPROGRAM, WHICH CLEARED THE AIR BAG LIGHT AND ALL FAILURE CODES. 2/19/14 @ 52624 MILES: VEHICLE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND BLINKING. NISSAN TECH FOUND FAILURE CODE B1086 STORED. PRE TEN FRONT L/H OPEN. INTERNAL FAILURE IN L/F SEATBELT ASSEMBLY. TECH REPLACED L/F SEATBELT ASSEMBLY. CLEARED FAILURE CODES AND VERIFIED NONE RETURNED. 7/8/14 @ 55300 MILES: VEHICLE AIR BAG LIGHT WAS ON AND BLINKING. NISSAN TECH FOUND FAILURE CODE B1086 STORED. DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDED REPLACING AIR BAG DIAGNOSTIC UNIT. IF THAT DOES NOT WORK, DEALERSHIP RECOMMENDS REPLACING AIR BAG HARNESS. *TR
PASSENGER AIR-BAG HAS SHUT OFF AND AIR BAG TROUBLE LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING (EVEN WHEN PASSENGER IS ABOVE THE NORMAL SHUT-OFF WEIGHT). TECHNICIANS WERE ABLE TO RESET THE WARNING LIGHT, BUT IT COMES BACK ON HOURS/DAYS LATER WITH NO OBVIOUS TRIGGER. NO ACCIDENT HAS EVER OCCURRED IN THIS VEHICLE. SERVICE TECH AND NISSAN CORPORATE HAVE POINTED THE BLAME TO THE PASSENGER SEAT, WITH REPLACEMENT COST AT A PROHIBITIVE $3,000+. *TR
MY CAR TRANSMISSION IS UNDER WARRANTY BUT DEALERSHIP WOULD NOT FIX IT, THEY SAY PURPLE FLUID IS NOT NISSAN CERTIFIED BUT I HAVE PROOF THAT TRANSMISSION FLUID WAS NEVER CHANGED, IT SEEMS COOLANT HAS CONTAMINATED THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. *TR
I WAS ABOUT GOING FOR A MEETING BUT WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, THE AIR BAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. I WASN'T INTO ANY ACCIDENT. I WENT TO A NISSAN DEALER ON 10/16/2012 TO KNOW WHAT CAUSES THE AIR BAG LIGHT TO BE FLASHING WHEN THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT INVOLVED. THEY RAN THEIR TEST AND TOLD ME THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FLASHING WAS {RH SIDE AIR BAG MODULE DEFECTIVE}. THEY REFUSED TO FIX IT AND INTURN GAVE ME A REPAIR QUOTE OF ABOUT $1300 TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I TOLD THEM THE PROBLEM WAS FROM NISSAN AND NOT ME. SINCE I DIDN'T HAVE THAT AMOUNT TO REPAIR THE CAR AIR BAG. IN NOVEMBER 2014 I MET A FRIEND THAT DRIVES THE SAME CAR, MODEL, & YEAR WITH THE SAME AIR BAG LIGHT FLASHING. I ASKED IF HE GOT INTO ANY ACCIDENT, HE SAYS NO THAT THE AIR BAG LIGHT JUST STARTED FLASHING ON ONE OF THE DAYS WHEN HE WAS GOING TO WORK. ON 11/07/2014, I CALLED NISSAN USA AND TOLD THEM ABOUT THE ISSUE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP TOLD ME TO FAX THE DIAGNOSTIC AND EVIDENCE THAT AM THE OWNER OF THE CAR TO THEM WITH THE FAX # AND THE CASE # SHE GAVE ME THAT THEY WILL INVESTIGATE AND IF THE PROBLEM IS FROM THEM, THEY WILL FIX THE CAR FOR FREE. I FAXED THE REQUIRED DOCUMENT AND NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. AFTER WAITING FOR A MONTH, I DECIDED TO CALL AND CHECK THE STATUS OF MY CASE. IT HAPPENS THAT EVERY TIME I CALLED THE REP AND THE SUPERVISOR ARE GIVING ME DIFFERENT AND CONFLICTING INFORMATION. TILL NOW THAT AM WRITING THIS, NISSAN HAVE REFUSED TO FIXED THE PROBLEM THE CAUSE. I WILL APPRECIATE IF SOMEONE CAN LOOK INTO THIS MATTER. THANKS, SEW
CAR WOULD NOT COME OUT OF PARK, NO BRAKE LIGHTS. *TR
MY DAUGHTER HAD AN ACCIDENT YESTERDAY AND SHE HIT SOMEONE ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE. THE IMPACT WAS ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE AND THE FRONT FENDER AND OTHER PARTS OF THE FRONT BUMPER. THE DISTURBING PART OF THIS IS THAT THE AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. THE POLICEMAN AND TOW TRUCK DRIVER WERE VERY CONCERNED THAT THE AIRBAG DID NOT EMPLOY. SHE COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED. SHE APPEARS TO BE SORE AT THIS POINT. *TR
AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP TO HAVE CHECKED OUT. AFTER THEY HAD THE VEHICLE ALL DAY, AND AFTER SEVERAL CALLS TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT TO FIND OUT STATUS, THEY FINALLY TOLD ME THE AIR BAG DEFLATED. THAT WAS THE PASSENGER AIRBAG AND WAS TOLD BECAUSE THAT DIDN'T WORK, NONE OF THE AIR BAGS WOULD WORK. SAID THAT WAS NORMAL. SOMETIMES THEY JUST DO THAT. EXPLAIN TO ME HOW AIR BAGS DEFLATE FROM NO ACCIDENT AFTER 5 YEARS. TRIED TO RESOLVE WITH NISSAN, WAS TOLD NOTHING THEY COULD DO. OUT OF WARRANTY. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANUVER. THE CONTACT STOPPED THE VEHICLE ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. AFTER RESTARTING, THE VEHICLE REGAINED NORMAL STEERING FUNCTION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,581.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING AND ENGINE WARNING LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE INTERMITTENTLY, FOLLOWED BY A LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AND THE DEALER ADVISED THAT SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY AND THE POWER STEERING AND ENGINE LIGHTS DID NOT REMAIN ILLUMINATED CONSISTENTLY, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT REPAIR THE FAILURE UNLESS THE POWER STEERING LIGHT AND ENGINE LIGHT REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 44,000.
DURING A UTURN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND WAS UNABLE TO CONTINUE. AUTO NEEDED TO BE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP. WAS GIVEN AN ESTIMATE FOR $2500 TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN.
MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING TO SCHOOL GOING 20 MPH ON A STRAIGHT ROAD WHEN THE DRIVERS SIDE, SIDE AIRBAGS WENT OFF AFTER SHE CLOSED THE MIDDLE CONSOLE. *TR
ON TWO OCCASIONS WHILE MAKING RIGHT TURNS, THE ENGINE FAILED TO OPERATE. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE, THE ENGINE RESTARTED AND APPEARED TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE SECOND OCCURRENCE, THE ENGINE FAILED TO RESTART AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NISSAN MAINTENANCE WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BATTERY WAS LEAKING ACID, WHICH WAS INGESTED IN TO THE AIR INTAKE, DESTROYING THE AIR FILTER AND CAUSING SEVERE CONTAMINATION OF THE SPARK PLUGS AND FUEL INJECTOR SYSTEM, AS WELL AS CORROSIVE DAMAGE TO THE FRAMING. HAD THIS ENGINE FAILED ON THE FREEWAY, IT WOULD HAVE JEOPARDIZED THE LIVES OF THE OCCUPANTS. ACTION IS BEING ADDRESSED WITH THE BATTERY MANUFACTURER, BUT THIS REPORT IS IMPLEMENTED TO ADDRESS THE POOR DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE WHICH PLACED THE BATTERY ABOVE THE AIR INTAKE, WITHOUT PROVISIONS FOR CONTAINMENT IN THE EVENT OF SUCH AN ACID LEAK. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING IN REVERSE ABOUT 5 MPH THE POWER STEERING FAILED. THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THEY WOULD REPLACE THE STEERING COLUMN AT NO COST TO THE OWNER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,400.
IN NOVEMBER I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR 30 MINUTES, NEXT THING I KNOW IS THAT I HAVE NO POWER IN THE ENGINE. THE CAR WOULD NOT GO HIGHER THAN 20 MILES AND THE REVOLUTIONS ON THE MOTOR WERE AS HIGH AS 5,000RPM. I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR BECAUSE I COULD NOT ACCELERATE AND I COULD NOT STOP THE CAR BECAUSE THE BRAKES WERE VERY HARD AND UNRESPONSIVE. I COULD NOT MOVE THE CAR, IT FELT LIKE THE CAR HAD THE BRAKE PEDAL PUSH ALL THE WAY WITH EMERGENCY BRAKE, I TRIED TO ACCELERATE BUT IT DID NOT MOVE. HAD TO TOW THE CAR TO THE NISSAN DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT. AFTER 1 WEEK, THE SERVICE GUYS TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS THE OUTPEED SPEED SENSOR. AFTER 3 DAYS OF USING THE REPAIRED CAR, THE CAR DID THE SAME THING ONLY THIS TIME I ALMOST CRASHED WITH ANOTHER CAR BECAUSE I LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR AGAIN AND THE CAR ALMOST GOT ON FIRE. FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT YOU COULD SEE SMOKE COMING OUT. HAD TO TOW THE CAR AGAIN TO THE NISSAN DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH NO RESULT BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM. THE CAR DID THE SAME TO ME 2 MORE TIMES AND THIS TIME THE DEALER DECIDED TO REPLACE THE CVT TRANSMISSION WHICH I HAVE READ THEY HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS AND BECAUSE OF THAT NISSAN EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 10 YEAR 120K MILES. AFTER THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED I USED THE CAR FOR ABOUT 1 MONTH AND THE CAR IN FEBRUARY DID THE SAME AGAIN. NO ENGINE POWER, UNRESPONSIVE BRAKES, HIGH RPM AND SMOKE COMING OUT FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. UNTIL WHEN WILL I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS PROBLEM??? WHEN WILL NISSAN CORRECT OR RECALL THESE TRANSMISSIONS, WHEN A LIFE IS LOST? I TOOK THE CAR MORE THAN 4 TIMES BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO REPLACE AND FIX THE PROBLEM. I'M GOING BACK AGAIN TO NISSAN, HOW MANY TIMES WILL THIS TIME WILL BE? I HAVE LOST MORE THAN 3 MONTHS WITH THIS ISSUE AND STILL THE CAR IS NOT WORKING. NISSAN DOES NOT HAVE A SAFETY RECALL AND DON'T SEEM TO TAKE SERIOUSLY THE PROBLEM. *KB
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA. WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO FUNCTION. FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS, MY CAR HAS BEEN HESITATING FROM A DEAD STOP, WHICH I CHALKED UP TO HIGH TEMPERATURES AND A/C USAGE. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR WAS WHINY WHEN TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. WHEN THE TRANSMISSION FINALLY GAVE OUT, THE SPEEDOMETER AND ODOMETER COMPLETELY STOPPED WORKING. THE CAR CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME, THEN THE RPM'S WERE TERRIBLY ERRATIC AND THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING ALL TOGETHER. THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAD A FOUL ODOR COMING FROM IT. AFTER ALLOWING THE CAR TO SIT FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES, WE PROCEEDED ON TO A DEALERSHIP WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS DIAGNOSED AS A BAD TRANSMISSION. I DRIVE A 2007 NISSAN SENTRA, AND THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN FAILING FREQUENTLY OVER THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS. THIS VEHICLE HAS ELECTRICAL POWER STEERING. THE ISSUE OCCURS MORE OFTEN IN THE COLD WEATHER, AND THE POWER STEERING HAS BEEN FAILING ALMOST DAILY THIS WINTER. TYPICALLY, AFTER THE CAR IS RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES THE PS LIGHT WILL TURN OFF AND THE POWER STEERING WILL AGAIN OPERATE CORRECTLY. OFTEN I HAVE HAD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITHOUT FUNCTIONAL POWER STEERING, AND IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER THE CAR.
