As I was driving on the freeway 65 mph my car completely lost all Speed and the more I accelerated the more my car decreased speed and eventually it shut itself off as i stopped the car as I pulled over there was no time to make it to a safe area for a safe pull over i was on a bridge calling for help from my insurance. The car did not want to start at first about 45 minutes later my car started again and was able to drive away. I had no idea what happened. Then I was driving almost to 3 months down the road it does it again on the freeway i was in slow lane driving 65 was able to exit quickly so there was no accident as I pulled over it did the same exact thing to me again and I waited till it was able to go again. for the third time it did it in parking lot as I was driving about 3 to 5mph when it happened last and it did not start again and i had to get it towed it's been needing a new computer module ecu. Because the computer when plugging in to obd2 diagnostic monitors it does not read or communicate with my car to diagnose any issues so monitor does engage
Driving and all the sudden went from 20mph to not even 5mph was able to limp it to a mechanic who said the trans cvt was most likely the problem didnt know nissans has that issue of a fail safe.. thankfully wasn't on a busy road going 80. Have also hurd knocking under the hood a couple times before were couldn't get that figured out.

The car stalls while the vehicle is in motion and has difficulty starting. The car stalls each time after it comes to a complete stop at lights or a stop sign makes it very dangerous
Involved in a motor vehicle t-bone collision. Driver airbag deployed but the panel did not fully come off. Bottom section of the airbag/horn cover came off. Top section did not separate from the rest of the wheel.
Driver airbag randomly went off while driving down the road. Did NOT hit anything, no potholes, or anything that could have set the airbag off. Additionally, the airbag was extremely hot when it went off and burned the drivers arms and face.
Airbag light came on a week ago. Have reset it several times and returns. When the Airbag light goes off the Seat Belt light comes on, and sometimes simultaneously.

The airbag suddenly stopped working. Now the airbag sign is always on, signifying that the airbag is not active.

AIRBAG LITGH IS ON. I STARTED THE CAR AND THEN SUDDENLY AIRBAG LIGHT WENT ON AND STAY LIKE IT SINCE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GARDENA NISSAN (1670 W REDONDO BEACH BLVD, GARDENA, CA 90247, (310) 532-1600) AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURES WERE DUE TO THE CLOCKSPRING FAILURE. THE CONTACT DECLINED TO HAVE THE VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN CONTACTED OR NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 172,166.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to start after multiple attempts with an unknown red warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact also stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle stalled without warning. The vehicle failed to restart, and the contact had the vehicle towed to her residence. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 11V579000 (Electrical System) which she linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that her vehicle was not under recall. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
MY 2010 NISSAN SENTRA (WAS STATIONARY EACH TIME) FAILED TO START SO I REPLACED THE BATTERY AND IT BEGAN STARTING FOR A WEEK.THEN ONE MORNING IT FAILED TO START AGAIN. I CLEANED BOTH THE CABLE ENDS ON THE BATTERY AND EACH POST. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR STARTED AND LASTED A FEW DAYS AND THE SAME PROBLEMS ARISES AGAIN. THIS TIME THE ENGINE WOULD TURN OVER BUT WOULD NOT START. PUT A CODE MACHINE ON THE CAR AND RECEIVED A CODE FOR CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR OR THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. I HAVE DISCOVERED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE POSITIVE BATTERY CABLE THAT WOULD CAUSE THE CAR TO NOT GET GOOD CONNECTION AND CREATE FAILURE FOR THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. I ENTERED MY VIN NUMBER BUT THE NHTSA SYSTEM IS NOT RESPONDING. COULD PLEASE RESPOND TO SEE IF MY VEHICLE IS ON THE RECALL LIST?
TL* THE CONTACT CALLED ON BEHALF OF HER MOTHER WHO OWNS A 2010 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER MOTHER WAS DRIVING IN A PARKING LOT, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LEBRUN NISSAN (396 GRANT AVE, AUBURN, NY 13021), AND WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 70,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH, AND SLOWING TO MAKE A TURN, THE CAR WAS STILL IN MOTION WHEN THE ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF, AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK BEFORE IT WOULD RESTART. THE CONTACT SHIFTED THE GEAR SHIFTER TO PARK AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. A FEW DAYS AFTER THE ISSUE MENTIONED ABOVE, THE CAR STARTED FOR A BRIEF SECOND, THEN WOULD NOT RESTART AND NISSAN FOUND THE ISSUE TO BE THE ECM THAT WAS DAMAGED BY THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL. THIS ALSO MADE SENSE AS TO WHY WE HAVE ALWAYS HAD TO BUY NEW BATTERIES EVERY 1-2 YEARS, WHICH CAUSED ISSUES WHEN TRYING TO START THE CAR MULTIPLE TIMES.THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GAINESVILLE NISSAN LOCATED AT (3915 N MAIN ST, GAINESVILLE, FL 32609) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED WITH AN ECM FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE NHTSA FOR ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,668. *LN*JB
WAS DRIVING AND CAR SUDDENLY WOULDN'T ACCERLATE AND JERKING ALONG WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. TRIED TO DRIVE IT NEXT DAY BUT COULDN'T BECAUSE CAR WAS SHAKING BAD AND WOULDN'T MOVE
HAD A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. PASSENGER GOT OUT OF CAR, THEN BACK IN CAR. WHEN I SEEN AIR BAG FOR PASSENGER LIGHT. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY WHEN LIGHT APPEARED. AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED OR BEEN IN ACCIDENT.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WAS FAULTY AND THE ECM WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE DROP IN VOLTAGE CAUSED BUT THE FAULTY BATTERY TERMINAL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V555000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 121,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
AIR BAG LIGHT ON DESPITE CAR NEVER BEEN CRASH, CALL THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAY I HAVE TO PAY TO RAPAIR IT. EVEN THOUGH IS A SAFETY PART.
WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE DASH LIGHTS STARTED FLICKERING AND IT STARTED MAKING A HUMMING NOISE THEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP TO THE RIGHT AND IT DID THIS TWICE AND I ALMOST CRASHED
UNABLE TO DRIVE CAR BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION GEAR CONTROL WAS LOCKED IN THE P POSITION. THE RELEASE WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO PLACE THE CAR INTO ANY OTHER GEAR. HAD TO HAVE A NEW GEAR CONTROL ASSEMBLY ORDERED AND REPLACE THE EXISTING ONE. THE CAR WAS ONLY 117,000 MILES ON IT. THE COST FOR PARTS AND LABOR WERE $992 DOLLARS.
CAR STALLS WHILE IN MOTION. USUALLY THIS IS WHEN I AM SLOWING DOWN OR WHEN I HAVE COME TO A STOP. IT STARTS RIGHT UP AGAIN BUT SOMETIMES WILL STALL IMMEDIATELY AFTER RESTARTING MULTIPLE TIMES. SOMETIMES IT WILL STALL MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY AND SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T STALL FOR A WEEK OR MORE. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS. MY VIN NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PREVIOUS RECALLS BUT IT APPEARS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM.
TOOK THE CAR TO HAVE THE BACK BRAKES FIXED.GOT THE CAR BACK FROM THE AUTO SHOP AND THE BACK AND THE FRONT BRAKES LOCKED UP I WAS AT A RED LIGHT WENT TO STEP ON THE GAS TO MOVE THE CAR THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE I SET FOR 15 OR 20 MINUTES STARTED IT UP STEPPED ON THE GAS VERY HARD THE CAR STILL DID NOT BUDGE BUT A COUPLE OF INCHES HAD TO HAVE SOMEBODY HELP ME PUSH IT OUT OF THE STREET INTO THE GAS STATION TOWED IT TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP AND THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE FRONT AND BACK BRAKES LOCKING UP AT THE SAME TIME
CVT TRANSMISSION WENT AT 76,000 MILES, COLUMN ASSEMBLY SHAFT LOWER NEEDS REPAIR AT 87000 MILES CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WENT AT 44000 MILES REPLACED AND ARE GOING AGAIN AT 87000 MILES, CAR BURNS MASSIVE AMOUNTS OF OIL AND HAVE NO OIL LEAK OR DEFECTIVE PARTS

THE CONTACT HAD TO PLACE THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE IN ORDER FOR IT TO OPERATE NORMALLY. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT IT WAS UNABLE TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT CALLED BENTON NISSAN OF HOOVER (1640 MONTGOMERY HWY, HOOVER, AL 35216, (205) 938-6103) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.

AFTER 4 DAYS OF NOT DRIVING MY CAR, MY CAR WILL NOT START. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I DON'T DRIVE MY CAR, (THE FOUR DAYS). I HAVE TO JUMP START MY CAR. I HAVE BOUGHT NEW BATTERIES. I HAVE HAD MY ALTERNATOR CHECKED.
STARTED BACK IN THE BEGINNING OF 2019. I NOTICED THAT THE OIL HAS BEEN GOING DOWN AND NO EXTERNAL LEAK. I HAVE TO PUT 1/2 A QUART OF OIL A WEEK INTO THE ENGINE AT THIS POINT. I HAVE NOTICED THAT THERE ARE OTHERS THAT ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE WITH NO RESOLVE FROM NISSAN.

IT IS UNKNOWN WHAT IS CAUSING THIS, BUT I DID SEE A RECALL ONLINE THAT STATED THE BATTERY TERMINAL MIGHT BE THE CAUSE OF THE LOSS OF ELECTRICAL OPERATION.
I OWN THE SR TRIM WITH THE 2.0 LITRE ENGINE, I TOO EXPERIENCED THE VALVE KNOCKING AND IT WOULD TRIGGER A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TOOK IT TO A NEAR BY NISSAN DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE. THIS WAS AT 75,000 MILES. ON 12/12/2018 WITH NO WARNING THE ENGINE THROUGH A ROD ON THE LOWER PORTION OF THE ENGINE. I WAS DRIVING 30 MPH I HEARD A RATTLE AND A THUMP, EVERYTHING WENT DEAD ON THE VEHICLE.
ON MY 2010 NISSAN SENTRA S - PS WARNING LIGHT (POWER STEERING) COMES ON, AND I HAVE NO POWER STEERING (SO VERY HARD TO TURN THE CAR LEFT OR RIGHT). I RE-START THE CAR AND PS WARNING LIGHT DISAPPEARS, THOUGH SOMETIMES I HAVE TO START THE CAR A FEW TIMES BEFORE THE PS LIGHT GOES OFF !. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FREQUENTLY ESPECIALLY IN THE MORNINGS/EVENING AND IT IS A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS. I CALLED UP NISSAN AND THEY MENTIONED THAT THERE IS A RECALL WITH NISSAN ALTIMA FOR THIS ISSUE, BUT NOT WITH NISSAN SENTRA. ON THE NET I SEE DISCUSSIONS ABOUT THIS ISSUE WITH OTHER CARS HAVING ELECTRICAL PS SIMILAR TO NISSAN SENTRA (EG. NISSAN VERSA & ALTIMA) THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR PS ISSUE WITH NISSAN SENTRA AS WELL, SINCE THIS IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS AND A SECURITY RISK.

THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE BATTERY AND, THREE HOURS LATER, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER WHERE THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V579000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER ALSO STATED THAT THE BATTERY TERMINAL AND COMPUTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 62,000. *TT*JB
THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE IN MOTION AND WHEN STANDING IN IDLE ON A CITY STREET.
AIRBAG LIGHT CAME AND RECOMMEND TO MANUFACTURERS ISSUE NEED TO BE FIXED I CALLED NISSAN DID NOT RESPONSE IT
I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT TURN OFF ON ME WHILE 40 MILES AN HOUR
CAR WILL STOP ACCELERATING NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU STEP ON THE GAS PEDAL. WHEN THIS OCCURS CAR WON'T GO OVER 45-50 MPH. HAS HAPPENED ON 3 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, ON THE HIGHWAY, AND USUALLY 'CORRECTS' ITSELF WHEN I'M ABLE TO PULL OVER AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE.
THE CAR STARTED MAKING A NOISE, TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE & THEY SAID IT WAS THE BELT TIGHTENER. THE CAR WAS HAVING A HARD TIME DRIVING UP HILLS ON THE WAY HOME AFTER GETTING THE PART. IT ACTUALLY STALLED OUT AT A RED LIGHT, MAKING IT VERY HARD TO BREAK. AFTER GETTING IT HOME & REPLACING THE PART THE NOISE WAS STILL THERE. WE WERE GOING TO GO BACK TO AUTO ZONE TO SEE WHY & WHILE DRIVING ON THE WAY THERE A VALVE CAME SHOOTING THROUGH THE ENGINE. IT WAS QUITE ALARMING SOUNDED LIKE A SHOT GUN WENT OFF. WE PICKED UP THE BROKEN VALVE, PARTS OF IT LOOKED MELTED, & TOWED THE CAR HOME MAKING SURE NO CARS HIT US WE PUSHED THE CAR OFF THE RD. THANK GOD WE WERE NOT ON A HWY WITH MY 5 MONTH OLD & 11YR OLD.
ISSUE WITH THE OXYGEN SENSOR. THERE IS A KNOWN ISSUE WITH THE KNOCK SENSOR SENDING WRONG INFORMATION TO THE ECU CAUSING THE ENGINE TO ADJUST TIMING. I'VE GONE THROUGH 3 CATALYTIC CONVERTERS DUE TO THIS ISSUE. NISSAN SAYS THEY'RE UNAWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND KNOW OF NO FIX. GOING THROUGH FORUMS, IT APPEARS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP ENGINE FROM OVER COMPENSATING THE TIMING IS TO ISOLATE THE KNOCK SENSOR FROM THE ENGINE WITH A RUBBER O RING. I HAVE DONE THE REPAIR, BUT CAN ONLY USE PREMIUM FUEL OR RISK CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. IT ONLY APPEARS TO HAPPEN TO THE 2007 TO 2012 SE-R SPEC-V (MANUAL TRANSMISSION). I HAVE REPLACED ALL WIRING HARNESSES, ECU, SENSORS AND EVERYTHING ELSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE FUEL SYSTEM. IT TENDS TO HAPPEN AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF TURNING CAR ON. GOES AWAY SOMETIMES AND REAPPEARS SUDDENLY. ENGINE BUCKS AND CONVERTER TURNS BRIGHT RED. HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2018 AND IS RECORDED ONLINE FORUMS AS FAR BACK AS 2008. DIFFERENT TIMES ON HIGHWAY AND ON STREET DRIVING MY CAR IS IN GEAR, WHEN YOU START TO USE THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR TURNS OFF ,YOU HAVE TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND PUT IT BACK IN PARK THEN RESTART, IT TURNS BACK ON. MY MECHANIC DOES NOT NO WHAT IS WRONG.
THE AC/HEATER STOPPED WORKING AFTER MAKING A LOUD NOISE WHEN IN USE. AFTER 4 DAYS OF HEARING THIS NOISE OFF AND ON, IT FINALLY WENT COMPLETELY OUT WITH FUMES. MY CD PLAYER ALSO STOPPED WORKING. I'VE HAD MY CAR 7 YRS., BOUGHT IT NEW, AND MAINTAINED UPKEEP. WHAT HAPPENED? NEED ANSWERS.
THE FUSE FOR THE LOW BEAM 15 AMP THE DRIVER SIDE STARTED TO BLOW REPLACED ONE TIME, LIGHT WOULD WORK AFTER APPROX 2 DAYS BLEW UP AGAIN, REPLACED AND STARTED TO BURN A WIRE FROM THE WIRES UNDER THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD. I CANNOT PIN POINT WHERE THE WIRE IS BURNING AND NOW THE LIGHT IS VERY DIM AND HIGH BEAM IS NOT WORKING EITHER, BEFORE ONLY THE LOW BEAM WAS THE PROBLEM AND I'M AFRAID IT WILL CATCH FIRE. THE CAR DID NOT GET WET AS THE CAR WAS PARKED FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS AFTER THE FIRST FUSE REPLACEMENT. THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING AS I WAS REPLACING THE FUSE.
I'VE BEEN GETTING CONTACTED ABOUT LEMON LAW CASES FOR MY CAR - MY SPECIFIC YEAR, MAKE AND MODEL BUT I CAN'T FIND OLD RECEIPTS THAT WOULD HELP ME WITH THE CASES. MY AIRBAG SIGN KEEPS GOING OFF AND THE ENGINE IS IN HORRIBLE SHAPE. I HAVE TO PUT IN A "THICKER" MOTOR FUEL TO KEEP IT FROM BURNING ALTHOUGH I DO MY OIL CHANGES REGULARLY. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MORE THAN A YEAR NOW. I CAN'T REMEMBER THE EXACT DATE IT STARTED HAPPENING SO I PUT 1/1/18 AS THE DATE BELOW.

A FEW MONTHS LATER THE BATTERY DIED WHILE IN THE DRIVEWAY, AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY THE VOLTAGE SPIKE CAUSED THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE TO FAIL. THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP WAS CONTACTED AND ADVISED THE OWNER THAT THIS VEHICLE'S VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 80,767 MILES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO FAMILY HICKS NISSAN IN CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPUTER CONTROL MODULE WAS DAMAGED AFTER THE BATTERY TERMINAL CABLE FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V555000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,920.
IN THE COLDER WEATHER HAS A LIFTER NOISE ..AS IM LEARNING THE 2.0 NISSAN MOTOR HAS THAT PROBLEM ..I BROUGHT IT TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND DONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AS THE CAR IS NOT WORTH IT.
