HI I HAVE 3 ISSUES WITH MY CAR, IT'S A 2014 NISSAN CENTRA, THE FIRST ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION IT'S REALLY BAD I HAVE ALREADY TOO IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AN SAID THEY FIXED THE ISSUE BUT IT'S STILL DOING THE SAME THING, WHEN YOU GO TO TAKE OFF FROM A RED LIGHT OR STOP SIGN IT WANTS TO HESITATE TAKING OFF, IT SPITTING AND JERKS AND THE TRANSMISSION DOESN'T WANT TO CHANGE GEARS, I HAVE A AUTOMATIC BUT IT ACTS LIKE A STRAIGHT SHIFT SO WHEN IT HESITATES I HAVE TO PUSH THE GAS NOR TO GET IT TO GO BUT IF YOU MASH THE GAS TO HARD IT WILL TAKE OFF FAST AFTER IT SPITS, IT IS VERY DANGEROUS, I HAVE ALMOST SLAMMED INTO THE BACK OF A FEW VEHICLES BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM, I HAVE TRIED TO PULL OUT FROM A SIDE ROAD AND A CAR WOULD BE COMING AN I KNOW I HAVE TIME TO GET OUT BUT WHEN THE TRANSMISSION WANTS TO ACT CRAZY AN IT STARTS HESITATING TO GO, I HAVE ALMOST BEEN HIT SEVERAL TIMES. THAT'S NOT ALL MY OTHER ISSUE IS WITH THE AIR CONDITIONER, THIS IS THE 3RD TIME IT HAS WENT OUT IN THE LAST YEAR, I WENT AND HAD IT SERVICED AN THEY SAID IT WAS THE AIR COMPRESSOR, I TOOK IT TO PEP BOYS AND THE GUY THAT LOOKED AT IT HE TOLD ME THAT HE HAS HAD 47 NISSAN CENTRAS IN THE LAST TWO MONTHS TO BE SERVICED FOR THE SAME REASONS, WELL ONE DAY THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS FINE BUT THE NEXT DAY I WENT TO TURN IT ON AND IT IS BLOWING NOTHING BUT HOT AIR SO HE CHECKED IT AND HE SAID THE COMPRESSOR WENT OUT AGAIN!! THE OTHER ISSUE IS YESTERDAY I WENT TO GET DINNER AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. AND MY CAR DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 40,000 MILES ON IT YET, I REALLY HOPE WRITING TO YOU ABOUT THESE THINGS GOING WRONG WILL OPEN THE NISSAN COMPANY'S EYES BEFORE SOMEONE ACTUALLY GET KILLED DRIVING ONE OF THEIR CARS. THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT. 2014 MANUFACTURE TRANSMISSION FOR NISSAN SENTRA ARE DEFECTED.

FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, I'VE NOTICED A JERKINESS WITH MY VEHICLE. WHEN I ACCELERATE, IT FEELS AS IF THE CAR IS PULLING BACK TOWARD ME. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD COST MORE THAN $4,000 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. I'VE NOTICED MANY OWNERS WITH SIMILAR CONCERNS ON THIS WEBSITE. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL IMMEDIATELY. OWNER SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR DEFECTS WITH THESE CARS WHEN THE DEALERS/MANUFACTURERS ARE RESPONSIBLE.
EXTREME NOISE FROM TRANSMISSION AT IDLE, SLOW TO ACCELERATE, CAR KNOCKS WHEN SLOWING DOWN AND SPEEDING UP
ALL OF A SUDDEN FOR THE PAST 2 DAYS I HAVE HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE SWITCH LOCKING AND WANT TURN WHILE PARKED(STATIONARY). THE STEERING WHEEL NEVER LOCKED AND WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON FOR SECURITY ALERT. TODAY IT WANT TURN ON AT ALL. *TR
2014 NISSAN SENTRA RPM'S KEEP FLUCTUATING BETWEEN 2000 AND 3000 RPMS AND MAKE THE CAR FEEL JERKY. NO CODES THROWN WHEN HOOKED UP TO A COMPUTER. WHEN SPEEDING UP AFTER TURNING CORNERS VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND HAS A HARD TIME TAKING OFF AGAIN. *TR
POSITIVE CRANKCASE VENTILATION VALVE (PVC) WAS IDENTIFIED BY SERVICE ADVISOR AND MECHANIC AT THE DEALERSHIP TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE. IT IS A TECHNICAL MANUAL UPDATE. THIS CAUSES THE CAR TO DIE AND NOT SHIFT CORRECTLY. *TR
NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS DURABILITY IS UNDER A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT, AND THEIR RESPONSE TO EXTENDED WARRANTIES TO COVER THE ISSUES IS INSUFFICIENT AND IN DISREGARD OF THE CURRENT PANDEMIC. NISSAN DOES NOT EXPLAIN WHY 7 YEARS OR 84000 MILES WERE CHOSEN AS THE CUTLINE TO PROVIDE COVERAGE. IF 7 YEARS IS THE DECIDED COVERAGE, WHICH IS UNSATISFACTORY FOR TRANSMISSIONS, THE CORRESPONDING MILEAGE SHOULD BE 94500, NOT 84000 BASED ON "THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION'S FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION STATES THE AVERAGE PERSON DRIVES AROUND 13,500 MILES EVERY YEAR.". NISSAN MUST EXPLAIN THIS COVERAGE LIMITS DECISION AND EXTEND THE WARRANTY PERIOD AMID THE PANDEMIC TO AVOID NEGLIGENCE.
I AM OWNER OF A 2014 NISSAN CENTRA. I STARTED GETTING PROBLEMS WITH MY BRAKES. I NOTOCED THAT WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKES, THE PETALS GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR. MY CAR ONLY HAS 50,000 MILES. I TOOK IT FOR AN INSPECTION TO MY PERSONAL MECHANIC AND THEY REPLACED THE MASTER CYLINDER TWICE AND I STILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS KIND OF PROBLEM FOR THIS CAR. THE PROBLEM HAPPENS ANYTIME, EITHER WITH THE CAR ON, IN MOTION OR NOT IN MOTION.
THE BATTERY AND TRANSMISSION ARE FAILING, THIS CAR HAS BEEN GIVING ME ISSUES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. NO ONE CARES TO HELP ME AND I'VE STILL BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH TO THIS DAY. *TR
MY 2014 NISSAN SENTRA KEEPS JUMPING, JERKING AND STUTTERING WHILE DRIVING. IT HAS 103,000 MILES ON IT. WHEN I PRESS ON THE GAS PEDAL, SOMETIMES THE CAR WILL NOT RESPOND AT FIRST OR BARELY START MOVING AND THEN WITHOUT WARNING WILL JUMP/KICK THE CAR FORWARD. THIS MAKES IT VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE, ESPECIALLY DURING CITY AND TRAFFIC JAM CONDITIONS. AFTER LOOKING UP THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET, I FOUND THIS IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEMS WITH THE 2014 NISSAN SENTRA AND IS THE CAUSE OF MANY ACCIDENTS. I AM PRETTY SURE THE ISSUE IS BEING CAUSED BY THE TRANSMISSION.
PURCHASED CERTIFIED PRE OWNED NISSAN SENTRA 2014 FROM PINEBELT DEALERSHIP WITH 67K MILES ON IT JAN 8TH 2018. NISSAN WAS WELL AWARE OF THE TRANS ISSUES HOWEVER I WAS NOT. AND THE SALESMAN WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO TELL ME THE TRANS LASTS THE LIFE OF THE CAR. I PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. CAR JUST HIT 104K MILES. WHILE TAKING IT IN FOR AN OIL CHANGE THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME THE MECHANIC HEARD A NOISE AND WANTED ME TO CONSENT TO A $160 DIAGNOSTIC. I SAID I DON'T HEAR A NOISE THERE AREN'T ANY LIGHTS ON. SURE ENOUGH THEY TOLD ME THE TRANS IS BAD AND WILL COST ME 4500 TO REPLACE. I OWE $7900 ON THE CAR CURRENTLY. NO ONE WOULD FINANCE A CAR AND EXPECT THE TRANS 2 GO IN 2 YEARS. THE CAR STARTED ACTING UP LESS THAN 5 DAYS AFTER VISITING THE DEALERSHIP. IT WONT GO OVER 50 MPH ITS SHAKING BADLY. ITS MAKING WHINING NOISES AND STARTS JERKING. I DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY EVERY DAY. IM GOING TO GET SLAMMED. THE CAR IS A DEATH TRAP. I BROUGHT IT TO A PRIVATE MECHANIC FOR A 2ND OPINION. HE CONFIRMED THE TRANS IS SLIPPING AND HE HAD A CAR LOT WITH HALF A DOZEN 2014 SENTRAS WAITING ON A NEW TRANS. I REACHED OUT TO NISSAN AND ASKED FOR HELP. HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING. THESE CARS ARE SO UNSAFE ITS TERRIFYING DRIVING THEM. *TR
THE CAR SOMETIMES MAKE NOISES AND DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE WHILE DRIVING. WEIRD TRANSMISSION JERKING, HESITATION AND NOISES WHILE DRIVING.
WELL MY NEPHEW WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND THE CAR STARTED MAKING A GRINDING NOISE SO HE STOPPED CALLED ME TO GO HELP HIM BECAUSE THE CAR WOULDN'T GO ANYMORE . SO THE NEXT MORNING I TURNED IT ON IMMEDIATELY YOU HEAR GRINDING SO I IMMEDIATELY TURN THE VEHICLE OFF.CHECKED THE TRANSMISSION PAN AND IT HAD SMALL PIECES OF METAL IN THE PAN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH AND DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LANCASTER NISSAN INC (5340 MANHEIM PIKE, EAST PETERSBURG, PA 17520) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
CAN DEAL SLIPPING WHEN TRYING TO ACCEALERATE AND PULSING WHEN COMING TO A STOP. ON THE STREET WHILE DRIVING.
2017 I HAD AN TRANSMISSION REPLACE AT 50,000 MILES. THERE IS NO WAY THAT A TRANSMISSION SHOULD GO OUT IN A CAR SO FAST. HERE I AM AGAIN IN 2020 MY TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED CONSUMER SERVICE FOR HELP WITH THEY DEFECTIVE PART THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME. I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE MILLAGE. IT HAS BEEN SITTING UP FOR A YEAR AND I'M STILL PAYING MY NOTES AND UNABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR. THIS IS KNOW FAULT TO ME BECAUSE THE TRANSMISSION IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. I HAVE SEEN AND LOOKED AT VIDEOS OF PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM I HAVE BUT YET NISSAN DOSE NOT WANT TO OFFER HELP TO THERE CUSTOMERS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE ISN'T A RECALL ON THESE CVT TRANSMISSION. NISSAN MAKE A HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO SUFFER. THIS IS NOT RIGHT FOR OTHER TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF OTHER. NISSAN HAVE SOLD ME A LEMON OR FLOODED OUT CAR. I COME HERE FOR MY COMPLAINTS BECAUSE NO ONE IS TRYING TO HELP ME. THERE IS A PANDEMIC OUT HERE AND CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY CAR NOTE AND GET IT REPAIRED. THE CAR SOMETIMES DOES NOT WANT TO ACCELERATE AND OTHER TIMES I HAVE TAKEN MY FOOT OFF THE GAS AND THE CAR CONTINUES AT THE SAME SPEED AS IF MY FOOT WAS ON THE GAS AND AT TIMES, NO MATTER HOW FAST I TRY TO GO, THE CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE PAST A CERTAIN SPEED. THERE IS ALOT OF HESITATION FOR THE CAR TO GO TO THE NEXT GEAR. THIS HAPPENS TO ME AS I AM DRIVING THE VEHICLE TO WORK ON A MAIN ROAD.
WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROX. 30 MPH TURNING AT THE END OF AN EXIT RAMP OFF THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN AS IF IT WAS SHIFTED INTO FIRST GEAR AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD, TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN BUT COULD ONLY GO 6 MPH WITHOUT JERKING VIOLENTLY. AFTER STOPPING, TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN NUMEROUS TIMES, WAS INTERMITTENTLY ABLE TO GET THE CAR TO GO FASTER THAN 6 MPH ONLY TO HAVE IT SUDDENLY SLOW DOWN AGAIN, JERKING WITHIN 1-2 MINUTES. IT TOOK ONE AND A HALF HOURS TO TRAVEL 16 MILES BACK HOME. NOT SURE WHATS WRONG...TRANSMISSION, SPEED SENSORS OR OTHER? I'VE GONE ONLINE AND SEEN OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS. WHY HASN'T NISSAN BEEN HELD ACCOUNTABLE? NISSAN NEEDS TO FIX THIS LEMON !
I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH MY TRANSMISSION UP UNTIL 1 WEEK AGO WHERE IT HAS BEGAN TO GRIND AS IF FLY WHEEL IS SEPARATED FROM HOUSING. ALSO IT JERKS SKIPS GEARS AND IS NOT STAYING IN IDLED POSITION.
I GOT INTO MY CAR AFTER I HAVE ALREADY TOOK IT TO THE NISSAN DEALER AND GOT THE 1 RECALL FIXED AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS POPPED ON AGAIN! SINCE I HAVE PURCHASED THIS CAR WHICH HAS BEEN LITTLE THAN OVER 2 WEEKS IT HAS HAD ISSUE AFTER ISSUE. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR SOMETIMES IT SEEMS LIKE IT WANTS TO CUT OFF AND WHILE DRIVE ITS LIKE THERE IS A TURBO ENGINE IN IT BECAUSE IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING IT AND SOMETIMES (MOST OF THE TIME) IT ALMOST SEEMS HARD TO CONTROL THE CAR WHILE DRIVING ON THE HWY.
MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING OUR NISSAN SENTRA 2014 ON THE HIGHWAY TO GO TO THE AIRPORT WHEN SUDDENLY OUR CAR WAS GOING DOWN THE SPEED TO 45 MPH. IT WAS DANGEROUS BECAUSE OTHER CARS WERE GOING TO 65 MPH AND MORE. WHEN WE ARRIVED IN FRONT OF THE PARKING LOT. THE CAR DIDN'T GO ANYMORE. WE WERE STUCK ON THE MIDDLE LANE AND MY HUSBAND HAD TO PUSH THE CAR WITH THE HELP OF ANOTHER PERSON TO THE PARKING LOT. THE CAR SMELL LIKE SOME FLUIDS WHERE BURNING.THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP BEFORE ABOUT 3 TIMES BECAUSE I HEARD A BAD NOISE, BUT THEY TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL. AFTER THIS INCIDENT I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN AND SAID THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS BAD, RIGHT NOW IS AT THE DEALERSHIP GETTING APPROVAL FROM THE CORPORATION TO FIX IT. THE CORPORATION AND THE DEALERSHIP KNEW THAT CVT TRANSMISSION ARE DEFECTIVE AND THEY ARE PUTTING US IN DANGER.

The mechanic retrieved fault code: P0101 regarding the map air flow sensor. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.
ON 7 OCCASIONS OVER THE LAST MONTH ALL 4 BRAKES LOCK UP ON THE CAR AFTER 20-30 MINUTES OF WARNING UP IN NORMAL TRAFFIC. AFTER A PERIOD OF 2 TO 4 HOURS LEAVING THE CAR PARKED AND OFF, THE BRAKES RIGHT THEMSELF. THE NISSAN DEALER CHARGED ME $150 AND SAID THEY CAN NOT FIGURE IT OUT.
CODE: R1608 THE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) IS DESIGNED TO CLASSIFY THE SIZE AND WEIGHT OF THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER AND, UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, AUTOMATICALLY TURN OFF THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE OCS SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO ONLY DEPLOY THE FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT IS OCCUPIED BY AN ADULT. IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES, THE OCS SOFTWARE MAY INCORRECTLY CLASSIFY THE PASSENGER SEAT AS EMPTY WHEN IT IS OCCUPIED BY AN ADULT. IF THE OCS DOES NOT DETECT AN ADULT OCCUPANT, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD BE DEACTIVATED. ADDITIONALLY, IF A CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM (CRS) IS INSTALLED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT (NISSAN INSTRUCTIONS ADVISES AGAINST THIS), IN CERTAIN RARE INSTANCES, THE SEAT BELT BRACKET COULD DEFORM AND THE AIR BAG MAY NOT DEACTIVATE AS DESIGNED. THIS MAY INCREASE THE RISK OF AN INJURY TO A CHILD SITTING IN A CRS INSTALLED IN THE FRONT SEAT.
VEHICLE HAS BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES SINCE 6 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING IT IN 2018. CAR RPM JUMPS UP AND DOWN WHEN DRIVING. CAR SHUTS OFF WHEN I'M PARK AND LEFT IN IDLE SOMETIMES, IT TAKES A LOT TO TURN LEFT OR RIGHT IN THE VEHICLE. HAD TRANSMISSION REPLACED IN THE BEGINNING OF 2019 THINKING IT WILL FIX IT, BUT THE ISSUE STILL OCCURS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO MECHANICS AND THEY ALL SUGGESTED TO CONTACT NISSAN. I'VE SPENT ALMOST 4,000-6,000 ON REPAIRS WITHIN THE LAST TWO YEARS. ALL RELATED TO THE SAME ISSUE

THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 40 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LOCAL DEALER TORRE NISSAN LOCATED AT 2069 79125, CA-111, LA QUINTA, CA 92253, WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,060.
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED AND MY CAR COMPLETELY STOPPED ON I-95 WHEN DRIVING SPEED WAS 69 MILES. IT WAS SUDDEN. CAR JERKS, NO POWER TO ENGINE, CAR DOESN'T MOVE. PASSENGER SAFETY ISSUE. ENGINE HEAT GOES TO 50% IN 2 MINUTES.
TRANSMISSION...I PAID BACK IN 5/24/19 FOR THE TRANMISSION RECONTROID...THE GUARANTE I GOT IT WAS ONLY 90 DAYS AFTER 5/24/19...& THE TRANSMISSION STARTED TO FAILED ON 1/4/20...I DROVE IT THE NEXT DAY TO WORK & THE TRANSMISSION GAVE UP ON ME ON THE HIGHWAY
SHUTTERING, UNEXPECTED POWER SURGES, HESITATION, STALLING, AND OF COURSE LOTS OF BAD NOISES IN GENERAL. I FOUND NUMEROUS NISSAN TRANSMISSION LAWSUITS FILLED REGARDING 2014 SENTRA PRONE TO SHAKING, JERKING, SUDDEN DOWNSHIFTS. I AM UNABLE TO DRIVE MY VEHICLE AND HAVE BEEN TOLD IT NEEDS A TRANSMISSION AND THIS VEHICLE HAS A LONG HISTORY OF ISSUES.
TWO AIR BAG LIGHTS ON 1 AT CENTER INTERIOR ABOVE RADIO 2 IN DRIVER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. LIGHT DOES NOT GO OUT EVEN WHEN 200 LBS PERSON IS SETTING IN PASSENGER SEAT. LIGHTS NEVER GO OUT EXCEPT WHEN KEY IS IN OFF POSITION.
I TURNED ON MY CAR IN A PARKING STRUCTURE AND AFTER A FEW SECONDS OF DRIVING MY CAR BEGIN JERKING AND SUDDENLY TURNED OFF. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON. WITH A SCAN TOOL, I SAW THE I GOT CODES FOR MAF. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND NOTICED THAT OTHER CARS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. I AM UPSET BECAUSE I CONTINUE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY CAR. FIRST I HAD THE TRANSMISSION PREMATURELY GO OUT AND NOW I HAVE A CAR THAT TURNS OFF WHEN DRIVING.
THE CAR FIRST STARTED SKIPPING. THEN THE TACHOMETER RACED AND THERE WAS NO GAS PEDAL. THEN IT STARTED BUCKING AND THE TACHOMETER RACED. THEN THERE WAS NOTHING AGAIN. NO POWER. WE PULLED INTO A GAS STATION AND IT WOULDN'T GO FORWARD JUST SAT WITH THE TACHOMETER RACING. WOULDN'T GO ANYWHERE. WE WERE JUST OUTSIDE OF NASHVILLE TN WHEN THIS HAPPENED AND WE HAD TO BE TOWED 921 MILES HOME. COST WAS EXPENSIVE. IS AT A SERVICE STATION NOW BEING LOOKED AT.
ON MY WAY TO WORK THIS MORNING DECEMBER 2019 MY CAR GOING AT AROUND 50 MPH STOP RESPONDING TO THE GAS PEDAL AND I HAD TO QUICKLY PULL OVER IN A STRIP MALL SO I WOULD NOT BE HIT OR CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND ON AGAIN TO GET GOING, AFTER THAT I SLOWLY WENT TO WORK. THIS HAD HAPPENED TO ME ON A FEW OCCASIONS ALREADY. WHEN I RESEARCHED IT I FOUND OUT THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE SAID THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE WITH THIS YEAR VEHICLE. THIS IS DANGEROUS.
CVT TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING CAUSING DELAYS TO POWER WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, DELAYS TO ENGAGE WHEN ACCELERATING, VIGOROUS SHAKING WHEN IDLING AS WELL AS WHILE DRIVING.
WHEN I START TO DRIVE IT'S LIKE MY CAR WINDS UP TO 3-4RPMS AND I MOST OF THE TIME HAVE TO LET OFF THE GAS FOR IT TO SWITCH. IT EVEN GOT UP TO 5RPMS AND I EVEN LET MY FOOT OFF THE GAS AND HAD TO TURN INTO SOMEONE DRIVEWAY.
AFTER ABOUT 80, 000 MILES I COULD HEAR MY CAR HAVING A DIFFICULT TIME PROGRESSING IN SPEED ESPECIALLY ON THE INTERSTATE A RATES OF 60 MILE PER HOUR. CURRENTLY MY CAR IS AT 100,747 MILES AND I HAVE TO GET THE TRANSMISSION REPAIRED BECAUSE TODAY THE TRANSMISSION BEGIN TO SLIP AND MY CAR WAS JERKING. THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, SO I GOT OFF THE INTERSTATE AND DROVE ON THE STREET HOME, AND THE JERKING MOTION CONTINUED.
CVT TRANSMISSION IS KNOCKING TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGED BY A PROFESSIONAL WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE , I GOOGLED IT THIS WHAT I FOUND OUT (APRIL 16, 2017 ' A NISSAN SENTRA TRANSMISSION LAWSUIT FILED IN NEW JERSEY ALLEGES THE CVT (CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION) IN THE 2014 SENTRA IS PRONE TO SHAKING, JERKING, SUDDEN DOWNSHIFTS AND OTHER PROBLEMS) ON LINE THERE IS LOT OF ISSUE WITH CVT TRANSMISSION.
LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD, THE CVT TRANSMISSION ON THESE CARS ARE EXTREMELY HORRIBLE AND POTENTIALLY VERY UNSAFE. THE RPM'S WILL START TO DECREASE AND INCREASE WITH NO WARNING, EVENTUALLY LEAVING THE CAR TO A SLOW CRAWL. VERY UNSAFE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE A YOUNG DRIVER ON A BUSY FREEWAY ON HIS WAY BACK TO COLLEGE. THERE IS CURRENTLY A 'PENDING" RECALL AND LAWSUIT ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND IS LONG OVERDUE. IT'S NO WONDER, CAR MANUFACTURERS LIKE HONDA AND TOYOTA COME HIGHER RATED, THESE CARS ARE NOT JUST UNRELIABLE, BUT VERY UNSAFE BASED ON THEM HAVING PAST KNOWN MALFUNCTIONS WHICH SEEM TO KEEP RECURRING EVERY YEAR. FILING A COMPLAINT ISN'T GOING TO FIX ANYTHING EITHER, HOPEFULLY A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WILL FORCE NISSAN'S HAND TO FIX THE PROBLEM THEY ARE AND HAVE BEEN AWARE OF FOR YEARS.
TRANSMISSION ACTS ERRATICALLY, WE HAVE EXPERIENCED SLIPPAGE, VIBRATIONS, LOSS OF POWER AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS (ALMOST LIKE THE TRANSMISSION WAS SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL). WE HAD THE VEHICLE IN FOR THESE PROBLEMS AT 50,788 MILES (12/29/2017), THE DEALER DID A REPROGRAM AT THIS TIME, AND 54,904 MILES (03/09/2018)WITH THE NISSAN DEALER SAYING THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. NOW THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FOR THESE PROBLEMS, BUT EVEN THOUGH THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY TO 84,000 MILES, OUR VEHICLE HAS 85,750 MILES SO IT IS NOT COVERED. THE DATE AND INCIDENT INFORMATION BELOW REPRESENTS THE DATE OF THE MOST RECENT OCCURRENCE.

I AM HEARING GRINDING NOISES AND MY CAR JERKS AND DRAGS WHEN DRIVING. I HAD IT IN THE SHOP ABOUT A YEAR AGO FOR CLICKING NOISES AND GEAR HARD SHIFTING, THEY COVERED UP THE PROBLEM AND I PAID THE DEALER $116 TO LUBE MY GEAR SHIFT AND STRUTS.I STILL OWE $4000 ON THIS CAR. THE NISSAN DEALER WANTS TO CHARGE ME $150 FOR A TRANSMISSION INSPECTION. I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY, PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GET INTO A SERIOUS ACCIDENT DUE TO A FAULTY TRANSMISSION. WHEN I TURN AIR CONDITIONER ON, CAR BEGINS TO SHAKE, SLOW DOWN AND MAKES STRAINING NOISES. IT RESUMES SPEED AND QUIETENS WHEN AIR CONDITIONER IS TURNED OFF.
CAR'S TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED IN MARCH OF 2018. I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AGAIN. THE TRANSMISSION THAT WAS REPLACED, THE FIRST TIME, IS NO LONGER COVERED BY THE WARRANTY. I EXPRESSED CONCERNS THAT NO VEHICLE WHICH IS SERVICED REGULARLY SHOULD REQUIRE ANOTHER TRANSMISSION IN A YEAR AND A HALF.
