CAR LOSES POWER TO CONSOLE ONLY AT TIMES AND OTHERS THE HOLE CAR LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING LOSING ALL CONTROL OF CAR WHILE IN MOTION.
TOOK MY CAR IN FOR A WHINING SOUND. WAS TOLD AT NISSAN HWY 96 IN WARNER ROBINS THAT I NEEDED A TRANSMISSION AND THAT MY WARRANTY EXPIRED AT 60000 MILES. MY CAR LOOSE POWER ON INCLINE AND IS MAKING A WHINING SOUND. SLUGGISH IN CHANGING GEARS AND JUST SEEMS TO SLOW DOWN EVEN WHEN I AM PUSHING THE GAS .
MY CAR WAS STATIONARY AND THE FAULT THAT MANY NISSAN SENTRA HAVE WITH THE PASSENGER AIRBAG COMES OUT. I WOULD LIKE TO BE CHECKED. THERE ARE MANY CARS WITH THIS SAME PROBLEM THAT COMES FROM THE FACTORY.
DRIVING AND ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON. TOOK TO AUTO REPAIR SHOP ( SECOND TIME, SAME ISSUE). MASS AIR FLOW INTAKE SENSOR GOES BAD. SAFETY ISSUES AS CAR CAN SURGE OR STALL WHILE DRIVING.
PREMATURE RUST SHOWING ON TRUNK LID. TAKEN TO THREE DIFFERENT CERTIFIED NISSAN DEALERS WHO HAVE STATED THE RUST ISN'T BIG ENOUGH TO PLACE AN ADULT FIST THROUGH AND WOULD NOT BE COVERED UNDER THEIR CORROSION WARRANTY.
THE WEATHER STRIPS ON THE PASSENGERS DOORS COME OFF.
MY CVT TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AT 81,361. I TOOK IT TO 4 DIFFERENT REPAIR SHOPS, ONE OF THEM BEING THE NISSAN DEALER I GOT THE CAR FROM. ALL AGREED IT WAS A FAULTY TRANSMISSION. I WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT NISSAN WOULD NOT COVER ANY REPLACEMENT OR REPAIRS, BUT COULD REPAIR AND REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FOR $4800.00. I WENT TO A DIFFERENT AUTO REPAIR SHOP IN TOWN AND THEY COULD DO THE REPAIR FOR $2800.00. I CHOSE TO GO WITH THE LESS EXPENSIVE AMOUNT DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN SERVICE CENTER I WOULD NOT GET ANY REIMBURSEMENT FORM NISSAN FOR THE REPAIR. NOW THAT I HAVE PAID $3000.00 AT THE OTHER PLACE AND OPENED A CASE WITH NISSAN'S COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT I WAS TOLD BY NISSAN'S COMPLAINT DEPT. IF I HAD CHOSE TO GET IT FIXED AT A NISSAN SERVICE CENTER THEY WOULD HAVE COVERED IT. AS I STATED TO THE LAST NISSAN REP. IF I HAD BEEN TOLD THEY WOULD COVER IT I WOULD HAVE USED NISSAN'S SERVICE AND NOT ANOTHER PLACE. THE PLACE I CHOSE IS ASE CERTIFIED AND NISSAN CERTIFIED TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE. THEY DID PUT IN A TRANSMISSION AND WITHIN TWO WEEKS THE REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSION WAS FAULTY, SO NOW I HAVE HAD 2 REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSIONS PUT IN MY CAR. I SEE MANY COMPLAINTS ON NISSAN'S WEB SITE REGARDING THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS IN 2015 SENTRAS. HOW CAN A RECALL BE ISSUED FOR WHAT IS APPARENTLY A MASS PROBLEM THAT NISSAN WILL NOT ADMIT THEY HAVE? WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD STUTTER WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE UPHILL. MADE APPOINTMENT WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST. ON THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT, THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CALLED AND REPORTED METAL SHAVINGS IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE SERVICE MANGER SAID THAT THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WOULD BE 'REBUILT'.
ELECTRICAL & BLUETOOTH PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR: THE SYSTEM SHUTS ITSELF DOWN & REBOOTS WITHOUT PROMPT. THE NISSAN LOGO REAPPEARS ON SCREEN IN THE SAME MANNER THAT IT DOES WHEN THE VEHICLE IS FIRST INITIATED VIA KEYLESS START IGNITION. THREE WEEKS AGO, I WAS DRIVING & THE SYSTEM SHUT DOWN WHILE I WAS IN TRANSIT ON THE FREEWAY (BW PARKWAY) - HEADED TO BALTIMORE CITY FROM BOWIE CITY IN MARYLAND AND REBOOTED ITSELF. THE FEAR IS THAT THE CAR WILL SHUT DOWN ONE DAY, NOT JUST ELECTRONICALLY, BUT ALSO THE ENGINE, WHICH COULD CAUSE A FATAL ACCIDENT. THE SECOND OR THIRD DAY, AFTER I BROUGHT THE CAR HOME, I TURNED THE CAR ON TO TAKE IT OUT FOR A RIDE, AND IT SHUT OFF ON ME COMPLETELY. EACH TIME THE SYSTEM SHUTS DOWN, THE MILEAGE ODOMETER DIALS BACK A COUPLE OF HUNDRED NUMBERS OR SOMETIMES A FEW NUMBERS. THERE'S NO WAY TO TELL HOW MANY MILES ARE TRULY ON THE VEHICLE. I ALSO DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE IF THE VEHICLE WAS TRULY INSPECTED BY EMISSIONS OR THAT THEY CHANGED MY FUEL. I ALSO DO NOT KNOW THE TRUE CONDITION OF THIS VEHICLE. I SAW SOME RUST UNDER THE HOOD ON A FEW OF THE SCREWS. I ALSO SAW CORROSION UNDERNEATH THE DRIVER'S SIDE OVER THE BRAKE PEDAL. I AM HAVING PROBLEMS STAYING IN MY LANE ON THE ROAD. WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE ROAD, THE CAR SWERVES IF THERE ARE HIGH WINDS (SUSPENSION ON FRONT & REAR END ALIGNMENT APPEAR TO BE GONE). ON FRIDAY MARCH 15TH IN THE 5 O'CLOCK PM HOUR, I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR ON THE FREEWAY. I OPENED THE SUNROOF & A GUSTY WIND CAME DOWN, KNOCKING THE CAR OUT OF ITS LANE. I REGAINED CONTROL OF THE CAR. I SHUT THE SUNROOF. THIS HAPPENS NO MATTER WHAT SPEED I DRIVE. THE NEXT PROBLEM IS WITH THE BLUETOOTH. I ATTEMPTED TO CALL A RELATIVE USING THE HANDS FREE VERBAL COMMAND & IT WENT HAYWIRE & BEGAN CALLING RANDOM PEOPLE IN MY PHONE. AFTER THAT, THE CAR REBOOTED ITSELF AGAIN. THIS PROBLEM IS NEW. RESEARCH CONFIRMS THAT THE DEALER HAS A HISTORY.
WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON THE INTERSTATE AND KEEPING A STEADY 65-70 MPH IT WILL ALL THE SUDDEN STOP ACCELERATING AND MPG'S DECLINE. I WAS IN THE FAST LANE AND WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. I HAD TO PULL THE CAR OVER. IT DID RESTART AND I CONTINUED TO DRIVE. THIS HAS OCCURRED NOW FOUR TIMES. I HAVE CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND REQUESTED AN APPOINTMENT. I INFORMED THEM WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND ASKED IF THEY HAVE HEARD OF THIS ISSUE. THE MAN I SPOKE TO STATED HE HAD NEVER HEARD ABOUT IT BEFORE. I FOUND SOME INFORMATION ONLINE AND KNOW THIS IS AFFECTING A TON OF PEOPLE. I BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW FROM A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THEY SERVICE IT FOR EVERYTHING. I AM HOPING I DO NOT END UP HAVING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION LIKE SO MANY OTHERS ON MY DIME WHEN THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 78,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
RATTLING UNDER THE HOOD, LOOSES POWER WHEN ACCELERATING. SINCE PURCHASING THIS CAR THE CAR HAS BEEN JERKING AND STALLING. JUST STARTED ABOUT AN HOUR AGO THE RATTLING APPEARS WHEN IN GEAR.

RUST/CORROSION AND PEELING OF PAINT (DELAMINATION) APPEARED AFTER 3 YEARS ON THE ROOF. CAR IS A WHITE NISSAN SENTRA 2015 AND I FILED A COMPLAINED WITH NISSAN AND I WAS TOLD THAT ITS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT WAS OVER 3 YEARS EVEN AFTER SHOWING THE NISSAN WARRANTY BOOKLET DOCUMENT. I WAS GIVEN SEVERAL OPTIONS BY NISSAN, PAY $9,000.00 MY SHARE TO PAY THE BODY PAINT, $5,000.00 DISCOUNT TO BUY A NEW CAR PLUS 2 YEARS EXTENDED WARRANTY. CAR HAS ONLY 30,000 MILES ON IT WHEN I COMPLAINED JULY OF 2019. I WAS ASKED SEVERAL TIMES TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR A PAINT JOB TOO. I TALKED TO MORE THAN 1 REPRESENTATIVE DURING THIS ORDEAL AND EVEN PLEADED WITH THEM TO JUST PAINT THE ROOF PART AND THEY SAID NO BECAUSE ITS NOT GUARANTEED THAT IT WILL ONLY BE THE ROOF THAT WILL START PEELING. MY LAST CONVERSATION WITH THEM (KACHA, EXECUTIVE) WAS LAST YEAR WHEN I GAVE UP BECAUSE IT GAVE US TOO MUCH ANXIETY AND GRIEF. THIS IS MY SON'S CAR WHO IS A FIRST RESPONDER AND STILL PAYING FOR THIS CAR TOO. WE WERE A NISSAN FAMILY AND ALWAYS BOUGHT 4 BRAND NEW NISSAN FOR THE PAST 20 YEARS.
LOSS OF POWER, TRANSMISSION JERKING FLUTTERING VIBRATING AND CLUNKING NOISE WHEN ACCELERATING AND STOPPING, RPM SPIKING REAL HIGH AND CAR LOSES POWER AND TRANSMISSION THEN JERKS AND YOU CAN NOT ACCELERATE AT HIGHER SPEEDS. TRANSMISSION FLUTTER AND VIBRATE BETWEEN 20 MPH AND 45 MPH WITH SEEM LIKE A SLIGHT POWER LOSS. CAR HAS 56,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN TO NISSAN BUT THEY CAN NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE SINCE IT ONLY DOES IT WHEN IT WANTS OR HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR A REAL LONG TIME. ALSO WHEN IT'S FIRST STARTED AND DRIVEN THE ENGINE KINDA TICKS WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDDLE. AND MOST RECENTLY TODAY THE CAR LOST POWER COMPLETELY AND THE CHECK ENGINE CAME ON WITH CODE P0101. MASS OVERFLOW SENSOR CODE. NISSAN CLEANED THROTTLE BODY AND REPROGRAMMED ECU. CAR IS STILL EXPERIENCING ALL PROBLEMS ABOVE OTHER THAN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS OFF AND THE CAR HASN'T LOST COMPLETE POWER AGAIN BUT DOES EXPENSIVE SLIGHT/MODERATE POWER LOSS FREQUENTLY. IT WAS FIRST SERVICED AT NISSAN ON 7/3/2018 FOR TRANSMISSION, AND AGAIN TODAY 2/22/19 FOR CODE P0101 WITH POWER LOSS
I AM MICHIGAN RESIDENT WHO RECENTLY TOOK A JOB OUT OF STATE IN WI. ON 02/17/19 I WAS TRAVELING TO WISCONSIN. DURING THE TRIP MY CAR BEGAN TO DEVELOP ISSUES WITH SUDDENLY ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING AS WELL AS LOSING POWER. AT MANY POINTS I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR ON THE ICE ROADS DUE TO THE POWER LOSS AND SHUDDEN SHIFTS. I CAME TO FIND THAT MY CAR, A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA (WHICH I BOUGHT USED FROM CARITE IN 2017), UTILIZED A CVT TRANSMISSION, WHICH UNBEKNOWNST TO ME WAS A KNOWN TO HAVE PROBLEMS AFFECTING CVT TRANSMISSIONS THAT ARE IN MANY NISSAN CARS. NISSAN HAS FAILED ON THEIR PART TO INFORM THE CONSUMER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, AS DID THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. NISSAN ALSO OWNS A 75% STAKE IN THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THESE TRANSMISSIONS FOR THEIR CARS. JATCO IS THE COMPANY. ON 02/18/19, I ALSO FILED A CONSUMER COMPLAINT AGAINST NISSAN. NISSAN REQUESTED I BRING THE CAR TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT EXAMINED. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN GREEN BAY, WI WHERE IT ESSENTIALLY DIED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ANSWER WAS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FOR APPROXIMATELY $4100.00. NISSAN DECIDED THAT, DESPITE THE KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS, THEY WILL NOT HELP AT ALL. I AM DISABLED (I HAVE ONE LEG, AND ALSO SUFFERED AN INJURY TO MY SPINE AND RIGHT HAND WHICH CAUSED ME TO BE OUT OF WORK FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD ' WHICH IS WHY I WAS FORCED TO TAKE A JOB OUT OF STATE TO PROVIDE FOR MY FAMILY) AND NEED A CAR FOR BOTH MY JOB AND TO GET AROUND. I CANNOT AFFORD THE REPAIR COST OF $4100.00 QUOTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. NOW I AM FORCED TO NOW RENT A CAR (AS I NEED A CAR FOR MY NEW JOB) AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $33.00 A DAY I FEEL BETRAYED AND WAS PUT AT RISK OF HARM BY NISSAN. THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED.
ENGINE IS SLIPPING DOOR HANDLES COMING OFF
I WAS IN MOTION WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR STARTED TO HESITATE AND NOT SPEED UP.I CAN'T REMEMBER EXACTLY WHEN IT HAPPENED BUT IT WAS A FEW MONTHS AGO. I HAVE TRIED TO TAKE CARE OF THIS MATTER WITH NISSAN CORPORATION BUT THEY WERE NOT HELPFUL AND NOT BEING COOPERATIVE. I ALSO TOOK MY CAR TO A TRANSMISSION SPECIALIST NEAR WHERE I LIVE AND THEY STATED IT IS THE TRANSMISSION THAT WENT VERY BAD. I NO LONGER HAVE THE VEHICLE IN MY POSSESSION BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY AN ARM AND A LEG FOR A FAULTY TRANSMISSION THAT WAS BEYOND MY CONTROL TO GET IT REPAIRED AND I WAS SOLD A LEMON VEHICLE.

THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER FOR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 30,000.
CVT TRANSMISSION FAILURE - THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN "TUGGING" AND "STUTTERING" WHEN IT HAD LESS THAN 60,000 MILES I TOOK IN FOR SERVICE BEFORE EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED THEY SAID NOTHING WRONG, A FEW MONTHS LATER WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY TO WORK, THE RPMS BEGAN GOING CRAZY AND THE CAR FELT LIKE IT WAS REALLY STARTING TO HAVE TROUBLE CHANGING GEARS, PULLED OVER AND THE VEHICLE DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE FORWARD OR REVERSE. LEFT IT PARKED AT A GAS STATION NEXT TO MY WORK.
STARTING ON 1/23/19 THEN AGAIN 3/26/19 AND ON 4/17/19 CODE P0456 KEEPS COMING ON AND I HAVE ALSO REPLACED GAS CAP STILL DOING IT. THIS HAS TO BE A RECALL OF SOME KIND.

WHEN I HIT 70-80 MPH MY VEHICLES RPM'S GO CRAZY AND TRANSMISSION STARTS SLIPPING AND BUCKING. DOES. IT DO IT DURING NORMAL DAY TO DAY 55 MPH DRIVING ONLY AT THE HIGHER SPEED.

THE CONTACT TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND RESTARTED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE VEHICLE OPERATED AS INTENDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT RECENTLY, THE VEHICLE LOSS MOTIVE POWER AND FAILED TO RESPOND WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO BE DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT WAS FILED FOR THE FAILURE THAT WAS EXPERIENCED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPAIR WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,000.
The CVT in this car is faulty. The transmission has been rebuilt but it still has the same issue. The transmission doesn’t di room properly and although the rpm’s increase the car will not accelerate. I’ve taken the car to Nisan dealerships. They now deny that this issue exists and will not offer a fix. The car is a safety hazard. It loses the ability to accelerate at low and high speeds. While on the highway or in the city the car loses the ability to maintain or increase speed. There is also a known issue with this car related to the brake switch and moisture in the tail light. The dealership knows by way of Nissan corporation sharing an article with them about this issue in other cars and knows that the brake switch is faulty and that the car can brake and accelerate at the same time but no recall has been issued. These issues are ongoing, have been happening since the car was about 3 years old and happen regularly.
I WAS INVOLVED IN A WRECK GOING OVER 10 MILES PER HOUR ON THE FREEWAY AND MY AIR BAGS DID NOT COME OUT AND I FEEL THAT IS UNSAFE, THOUGH THEY CLAIMED THEY FIXED THE RECALL AT NISSAN. I FEEL AS THOUGH THIS CAR IS A DANGER TO MY LIFE AND OTHERS AS WELL. I WAS IN CALIFORNIA ON THE 10 FREEWAY AS MY BOYFRIEND WAS DRIVING. *DT*JB
UPON PURCHASING VEHICLE NEW AT DEALERSHIP RAN GOOD FOR FIRST 50000 MILES THEN TRANSMISSION STARTED ACTING CRAZY ALL DASH LIGHTS CAME ON AND DON'T TURN OFF THEN THE RPMS STARTED JUMPING UP AND DOWN NOT WANTING TO SHIFT GEARS TOOK TO SHOP THEY SAID THEY CONTINUOUSLY HAVE THESE CARS WITH THIS CERTAIN TRANSMISSION CONSTANTLY BREAKING DOWN CAR HAS 70000 MILES ON IT AND I THINK THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THESE TRANSMISSIONS AFTER LOOKING UP THESE CARS O ENCOUNTERED MANY PEOPLE WITH MY CARS PROBLEM
VEHICLE STALLED WHEN I PRESSED DOWN ON THE GAS PEDAL TO ACCELERATE. 1 MILE BEFORE STALLING IT STARTED TO JUDDER WHEN I WOULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP AND JERK ME FORWARD WHEN I WOULD EXCELERATE FROM A STOP. I TURNED OFF MY VEHICLE AFTER IT STALLED, SHIFTED TO PARK, AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON AND SHIFTED TO DRIVE IT ACCELERATED, SLOWER THAN USUAL AND I WAS ABLE TO PARK. PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT, I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN FOR THE JUDDERING PROBLEM 7 DAYS AGO AND THEY REPLACED THE CVT CONTROL VALVE.
WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 60 TO 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY THE CAR STARTS TO LOSE POWER/GAIN POWER AND THE RPM GAUGE IS CONSTANTLY GOING UP AND DOWN, THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM (DRIVETIME) I HAVE BEEN BACK AND FORTH WITH THEM FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS AND THEY TELL ME THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO BECAUSE 2 OUT OF 3 SHOPS SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG SO I THEN GOT A VIDEO OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING AND I SENT IT IN TO THEM LIKE THEY ASKED AND WAITED ANOTHER WEEK JUST FOR THEM TO TELL ME THAT THE NEXT THING TO DO IS WHAT I TOLD THEM IN THE BEGGING ' CHANGE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID' AND THAT THEY COULD REVIEW IT ONCE I SEND IN AN INVOICE. I'VE PAID $2,100 ON THIS CAR IN THE MONTH I HAVE HAD IT DUE TO PROBLEMS AND THE REFUSE TO REIMBURSE ME FOR ANYTHING UNLESS IT'S IN A SHOP GETTING MORE THEN 8 HOURS OF PHYSICAL LABOR. SO MY CAR BEING IN AND OUT OF 3 SHOPS IN A WEEK DOESN'T COUNT FOR ANYTHING.
MY SUNROOF EXPLODED RANDOMLY AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM TAKING MY DAUGHTER TO SCHOOL AT ABOUT 7:30 AM ON 10/23/2018. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A LOCAL HIGHWAY GOING ABOUT 55 MPH. I HEARD AN EXTREMELY LOUD BOOM ABOVE MY HEAD. I PULLED OVER IN SHOCK THINKING THAT A BOMB HAD GONE OFF NEAR ME. I WAS CONFUSED AND ALARMED TO FIND THAT MY SUNROOF HAD COMPLETELY SHATTERED. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ANYTHING HITTING MY CAR.

I TOOK IS TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES BUT IT WASN'T DIAGNOSED FOR SOME REASON. IT TOOK SOME TIME FOR IT TO ALMOST COMPLETELY CLUNK OUT.
THE CAR WILL SWITCH GEARS WHEN I'M DRIVING. IT HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES - THE LAST TIME WAS THIS WEEKEND WHEN I WAS TRAVELING. I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE, UP A MOUNTAIN. ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE CAR STARTED DECELERATING AS I WAS GOING UP THE MOUNTAIN. THE GEAR SHIFT CAUSED THE CAR TO DRAMATICALLY SLOW DOWN AND ALMOST CAUSED A MULTI-CAR PILEUP BECAUSE THERE WAS A LOT OF TRAFFIC.

THERE IS A TECHNICIANS BULLETIN FOR MY CAR AND IS A KNOWN ISSUE BUT NISSAN WANTS TO CHARGE TO FIX THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE IS THE PIECE IS MALFUNCTIONING AND HAS TO BE REPROGRAMMED. YET WHILE IT DOES THIS THE RPM NEEDLE SURGES BETWEEN 3000 TO 4500. VEHICLE HAS NO CODES AND DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THEY CAN'T REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM. MY CAR HAS LOST POWER ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND YET IM JUST SUPPOSE TO BELIEVE THE CAR IS SAFE.I EVEN PUT IN A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD ME THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO BECAUSE THE VEHICLE DOES NOT HAVE ANY CODES.
WHEN DRIVING OUT OF AN APARTMENT COMPLEX MY RPM NEEDLE JUST UP TO 5000 RPM AND WOULDN'T NOT ACCELERATE. ONCE ON THE FREEWAY THE RPM NEEDLE WILL FLUCTUATE BETWEEN 2000 AND 5000 RPM BEFORE ACCELERATING AGAIN. ONCE I GOT OFF THE FREEWAY AND GOT 2 MILES DOWN THE ROAD WITH THE SAME ISSUE THE CAR JUST STOPPED ACCELERATING. EVEN WHEN I FLOOR THE GAS PEDAL THE RPM NEEDLE DIDN'T MOVE AT ALL. SO WHILE TRAVELING AT ABOUT 20 MPH I HAVE TO LET THE CAR OFF THE ROAD TO A GROCERY STORE PARKING LOT AND COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I TURNED OFF THE ENGINE AND PULLED THE KEY OUT THE IGNITION AND THEN RESTARTED THE CAR TO SEE IF THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM BUT IT ONLY GAVE ME THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE AGAIN BUT STILL WITH THE SAME RPM FLUCTUATIONS AS BEFORE. I WAS AT A STOP SIGN DRIVING IN TO WORK AND MY CAR WOULDN'T GO. SO I PUT IT IN PARK AND IT WAS ACTING LIKE IT WASN'T GETTING ANY POWER TO THE TRANS. KEYLESS IGNITION FAIL.... WOKE UP IN THE NIGHT WITH A HEADACHE AND DIZZINESS, FINDING OUT MY CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING IN THE CLOSED GARAGE FOR 7 HOURS AND THE SMELL, WHICH WAS CARBON MONOXIDE..... DIDN'T NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION BUT COULD HAVE DIED.
