CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED AT 76000 MILES
AFTER ABOUT JUST A FEW WEEKS OF PURCHASING THE CAR, IT STARTED SHIFTING HARDER THAN IT SHOULD ON OCCASION, OTHER TIMES IT WOULD BE FINE. THEN ON WAY HOME FROM WORK ON THE HWY IT STOPS ACCELERATING SO I FLOOR IT JUST TO GET ANY SPEED, THEN IT WOULD ACCELERATE AGAIN SOMEWHAT NORMALLY. DID THIS FOR ABOUT 1 WEEK BEFORE I COULD TAKE TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR INSPECTION. THEY DO NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT WHICH WAS NOT THE CASE AND I KNEW BETTER B/C WHILE THEY WERE CHECKING THE CAR OUT, THEY LOANED ME A CAR TO GET BACK AND FORTH TO WORK AND IT WAS ESSENTIALLY THE SAME CAR, MAY OF BEEN A YEAR NEWER OR OLDER BUT IT WAS A SENTRA. THIS SENTRA DROVE SO MUCH SMOOTHER AND I KNEW MINE HAD AN ISSUE THEN. BUT THEY INSISTED NO PROBLEM. I HAD THE CAR BACK 1 DAY FROM THEM AND IT STARTS ACTING UP THE SAME WAY BUT WORSE TILL IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE FOR ME AT ALL. LIKE IT WAS DYING ON ME WHICH IT DID SO I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED BACK TO THE SAME NISSAN DEALERSHIP ONLY TO HAVE TO HAVE A NEW TRANSMISSION PUT IN. CAR HAD JUST UNDER 60,000 MILES ON IT AND MY WARRANTY WAS FIXING TO END HOWEVER IT IS STARTING TO WORRY ME A LITTLE B/C IT IS ACTING UP AGAIN SLIGHTLY. I FEAR ITS THE SAME ISSUE CVT TRANSMISSION AND MY WARRANTY IS EXPIRES. I AM VERY UPSET B/C I FEEL LIKE THE CAR IS A LEMON AND I MAY BE STUCK WITH THE PIECE OF JUNK AND UPSIDE DOWN AND TOO BROKE TO GET ANOTHER CAR. NOT FAIR
AIRBAG WARNING LIGHTS UP REPEATEDLY - SYSTEM RESET THREE TIMES AT DEALER, AND PARTS REPLACED. IT IS IN SHOP FOR FIFTH TIME IN A YEAR! CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY - THINKING ABOUT TRADING IT IN BEFORE THE WARRANTY EXPIRES.
WHILE DRIVING IT RATTLES, PICKS UP SPEED VERY SLOWLY, WHEN STEPPING ON GAS IT TAKES A LONG TIME TO SPEED UP WHICH IS DANGEROUS BECAUSE OTHER TRAFFIC CAN HIT ME FROM BEHIND. MAKES WEIRD NOISE EVERY TIME I STEP ON GAS AND IS GOING 30 MPH. HAVING DIFFICULTY WHEN TRYING TO REVERSE. I WAS AT A STOP AND IT WOULDN'T MOVE FORWARD OR REVERSE I HAD TO ASK FOR HELP TO PUSH THE CAR OUT OF THE STREET. WAS TOLD THAT IT'S THE TRANSMISSION. IT'S ONLY BEEN 6 MONTHS I BOUGHT THE CAR AND IT HAS 70,000 MILES.
WE RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE FROM NISSAN NORTH AMERICA REGARDING OCS (NON-OPERATION) OF PASSENGER AIR BAG. CONTACTED DEALER TO DISCUSS PROBLEM. WAS GIVEN THE SAME( NO ACTION ) ANSWER THAT WE GOT ON PREVIOUS VISITS. THIS SITUATION IS TOTALLY UNEXCEPTABLE. THAT AIR BAG SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO PREVENT THE PASSENGER FROM CRASHING INTO THE DASH OR WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE THE SOLUTION IS OUT THERE. I AM VERY CONCERNED FOR THE SAFETY OF MY PASSENGER.
THESE PROBLEMS OCCUR RANDOMLY: TRANSMISSION WILL NOT SHIFT FROM LOW GEAR AND THESE EVENTS HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING. THEY CAN HAPPEN WHEN DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY AT 60 MILES AN HOUR OR IN THE CITY. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR GOES TO LOW GEAR AND STAYS THERE UNTIL I STOP AND TURN THE CAR OFF. ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE DRIVING AND WILL STAY ON FOR DAYS AND THEN IT GOES AWAY, ONLY TO COME BACK AGAIN SEVERAL DAYS LATER. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 2 YEARS, NISSAN MECHANICS ARE AT A LOSS AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO PINPOINT A SOLUTION.
TAKATA RECALL. THE DRIVERS SIDE AXEL BOOT STARTED MAKING A CLICKING NOISE AT ONLY 25,000 MILES. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE WHOLE AXEL NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS HAS NOT BEEN FROM ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE VEHICLE, JUST NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS WEAR AND TEAR. THIS COMPONENT SHOULD NOT HAVE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS AT ONLY 25,000 MILES. I FIRST NOTICED IT WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO BRAKE, AND NOW IT DOES IT WHEN YOU SLOW DOWN TO STOP AND WHEN YOU TAKE OFF AGAIN. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 39,000 MILES ON IT. WHILE IT IS STILL DRIVEABLE, THIS IS NOT SOMETHING THAT SHOULD'VE WORN OUT ALREADY, AND THE SHOP IS TELLING ME THAT IT WILL COST ME ABOUT $1400 TO REPAIR.
THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW MOTOR BOLT RIPPED OUT OF THE DOOR FRAME AND NOW NO LONGER WORKS AND THE WINDOW CAN'T BE SET IN PLACE TO STAY UP. I'M WITHOUT A WINDOW ON THE DRIVERS SIDE NOW. I DON'T KNOW HOW THE BOLT RIPPED THROUGH THE FRAME. EVEN THE WIRE GOT RUINED.
CAR HAS BEEN MAKING TAPPING/KNOCKING/SQUEALING NOISE SINCE ABOUT 20,000 MILES. DEALERSHIP WAS NOTIFIED, AS WELL AS NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS. (AUDIO WAS TAKEN OF NOISE). CAR WAS TAKEN TO SHOP. MECHANICS COULD NOT "REPLICATE SOUND" THAT MY CAR WAS MAKING, EVEN THOUGH I HAD SHOWN MECHANICS PROOF, AND THEY HEARD CAR MAKING NOISE AT IDLE AND WHEN CAR WAS REVVED UP. MECHANIC WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAKE CAR HOME FOR A PERIOD OF 7 DAYS. HE COULD NOT "REPLICATE SOUND" THAT MY CAR WAS MAKING. MY CAR HAD BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP (FOR THE SAME ISSUE) AT LEAST 6 TIMES BETWEEN 2016-2017. AND THE ISSUE STILL REMAINED. NOW (40,000+ MILES SINCE NOISE FIRST STARTED), I HAVE NOTICED A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN HORSEPOWER, COUPLED WITH THE SQUEALING/TAPPING/KNOCKING NOISE, THAT IS PROGRESSIVELY GETTING LOUDER. I ONCE AGAIN HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS, WHO INSTRUCTED ME TO TAKE IT TO A DIFFERENT NISSAN REPAIR FACILITY AND FRONT THE $99.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO HAVE MY VEHICLE DIAGNOSED. I AM NOW WITHOUT A VEHICLE, AND I STILL AM IN THE DARK AS TO WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CAR. THE SOUND THAT MY CAR MAKES OCCURS WHEN MY CAR IS MOVING, IDLING, IN GEAR, OR IN PARK. I HAVE NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP AND CONSUMER AFFAIRS OF THIS ONGOING ISSUE, AND FEEL THAT THEY JUST DO NOT WANT TO LOOK INTO THIS, EVEN THOUGH THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR.

I WAS DRIVING ON I-49 IN LOUISIANA TRAVELING AT 70 MPH WHEN I HEAR A LOUD NOISE, LIKE A GUNSHOT. I REALIZED MY SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED. THE COVER WAS OPEN AT THE TIME SO GLASS FELL INTO MY CAR, AND IN MY LAP/HAIR. I DID GET A FEW CUTS ON MY HANDS FROM THE GLASS. I DON'T THINK ANYTHING HIT THE SUNROOF, IT SHATTERED SPONTANEOUSLY. THE DEALERSHIP SAYS I HAVE TO GO THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO GET IT FIXED.
LOOSE CV AXLE NUT CAUSING CLICKING NOISE WHILE DRIVING STOP AND GO, SHIFTING.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED BACK INJURIES, WHICH DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO RESUME DRIVING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.
MY CAR HAS THE CVT AND AT TIMES YOU HAVE TO REALLY PRESS HARD ON THE ACCELERATOR TO GET THE CAR TO SELECT A GEAR AND MOVE. IF YOU EASE INTO THE GAS PEDAL TO MOVE IT'S ALMOST AS IF I AM DRIVING MY HUSBAND'S RACECAR WITH A STALL CONVERTER IN IT. I TOOK IT TO THE SELLING DEALER AT ONLY 22,000 MILES AND THEY WANTED TO CHANGE THE FLUID WITHOUT FIRST EVEN TAKING IT FOR A RIDE OR EXPLAINING WHY IT NEEDED THE FLUID CHANGED SO SOON WHEN THE MANUAL STATES 60K.
MY LINKAGE WENT OUT ON FREEWAY AND I HAD TO KEEP STOPPING AND PUTTING IT IN CUZ IT WUD POP OUT OF GEAR W NO WARNING AND THEN THE TRANSMISSION WENT

THE LOCAL DEALER (TEDDY NISSAN, 3660 BOSTON ROAD, BRONX, NY 10469) WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DOOR LOCKS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 22,000.
VEHICLE STRUGGLES TO GO OVER 40 MPH ON HILLS, WITH AC ON, OR FOR EXTENDED DRIVES. I'VE LIKED THIS UP ON THE INTERNET MULTIPLE TIMES AND OTHER OWNERS OF THIS SAME YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME THINGS. I'VE HAD NISSAN LOOK AT IT MULTIPLE TIMES AS WELL AND THEY TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG.
WHEN IN MOTION, STRONG CRASH NOISE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE SUSPENSION EVEN AFTER CHANGING THE SHOCK ABSORBER AT THE DEALER. IT IS HAPPENING SINCE IVE COMMUNICATED AT 8000 MILES SERVICES. I AM AFFRAID THAT MY FAMILY IS NOT SAFE IN THIS CAR.
CVT ISSUES WHILE DRIVING, RPM KICKS UP TO 4.5, 5 THEN DROPS TO 3 THEN 2 THEN KICKS UP TO 4.5 AGAIN WITH LOSS OF POWER -- THIS IS WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET, THE RPM WITH FEEL AS IF IT GETS STUCK PRIOR TO KICKING IN TO GEAR AFTER STOPPING THEN ACCELERATING AGAIN SUCH AS AT A RED LIGHT; IF I NEED TO SPEED UP QUICKLY FOR SOME REASON, MY CAR SIMPLY WILL NOT ACCELERATE UNLESS I MASH THE PEDAL TO THE FLOORBOARD AND IT JERKS UP RPM THEN WILL ACCELERATE.
THIS HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS BACK 1 SINGLE TIME. I PUT CAR IN REVERSE TO BACK OUT OF A SPACE. CAR REVERSED FINE. THEN I TRIED TO PUT IT INTO DRIVE BUT IT WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE, ONLY UP TO NEUTRAL. I TRIED TURNING IT OFF AND THE WAITING A MIN OR 2 AND TURNED IT BACK ON TO SEE IF IT WOULD GO TO DRIVE. IT WOULD NOT. IT WOULD ONLY MOVE IN REVERSE. I KEPT TRYING UNTIL ON ONE OF THOSE TRIES IT FINALLY WENT INTO DRIVE AND I WAS ABLE TO GET GOING AGAIN. THEN RECENTLY, I THINK, 8/2/17, WED, I WAS AT BANK PARKED. I PUT CAR ON REVERSE TO LEAVE BEC I HAD A FEW MORE ERRANDS TO DO,CAR WENT BACK FINE. THEN I TRIED TO PUT INTO DRIVE; IT WOULD NOT GO TO DRIVE. SAME THING HAPPENED. IT WOULD NOT GO INTO DRIVE. IT STOPPED IN NEUTRAL AND THERE WERE MANY CARS TRYING TO GET PAST ME, AS I WAS BLOCKING THOSE COMING SOUTH AND THOSE GOING NORTH OF ME. I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO! SO I PUT IT BACK INTO REVERSE AND WENT BACK AS MUCH AS I SAFELY COULD IN ORDER TO CLEAR A WIDER SPACE TO SEE IF CARS COULD SQUEEZE PAST ME. THE WAITING CARS SQUEEZED THROUGH VERY UNSAFELY FOR THEM AND FOR ME. THEN I JUST KEPT TRYING BY TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON A FEW MINS LATER. I KEPT TRYING TO PUT INTO DRIVE. IT WOULD GO TO NEUTRAL BUT NOT INTO DRIVE. UNTIL ONE TIME, WHEN IT DID AND I WAS ABLE TO GO TO MY NEXT STOP WHICH WAS WALGREENS.EXACT THING REOCCURRED; I REPEATED TRIES; FINALLY WENT INTO DRIVE. I PROCEEDED TO GO TO PUBLIX. SAME SENARIO HAPPENED. IT TOOK MANY TRIES.FINALLY WENT INTO DRIVE AND I WAS ABLE TO GET HOME. I GOT HOME. HAPPENED AGAIN WHEN I REVERSED FROM BEING PARKED AT MY BLDG BLOCKING EVERYONE. A UPS TRUCK DRIVER ALSO BLOCKED. I ASKED FOR HIS HELP.HE MADE ATTEMPTS TO PUT INTO DR. FINALLY GOT IT. MOVED MY CAR OUT OF HARM'S WAY. NISSAN PAPER WORK IS DATED 8/4/17. IT MAY REPEAT IN A DANGEROUS PLACE. WAS CITY IN MOTION FROM PARKED. MAYBE GEAR BOX IS FAULTY, ENGINE/TRANSMISSION PROBLEM OR ELECTRICAL.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
WHEN I OPEN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR THE LATCH STAY OPEN
REVVING OF THE ENGINE DUE TO MALFUNCTION OF THE TRANSMISSIONS, LOSS OF POWER TO THE DRIVE SHAFT CONSTANT SLIPPING OF THE TRANSMISSION, SOMETIMES LOSS OF POWER TO THE6 ENGINE . CALLED NISSAN USA TP WHAT CAN BE DONE WITH THE PROBLEM SINCE THEY ACKNOWLEDGED EARLIER MODEL HARD SIMILAR PROBLEM AND NISSAN EXTENDED THEIR WARRANTY TO 10 YRS 120000 MILES. HOWEVER THEY DECLINE AN EXTENSION IN MY CASE, SAYI G THE PROBLEM OF THE CVT TYPE TRANSMMISSION HAS BEEN RESOLVED. HOWEVER THAT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE THE CASE. L SEE NUMEROUS BLOG ONLINE COMPLAINING ABOUT THESE TYPE OF TRANSMMISSION-CVT ONES SIMILAR TO THE EARLIER MODEL WITH THE EXTENDED WARRANTY GIVEN. PROBLEM IS ENCOUNTERED WHEN IM MOTOION ON HIGHWAY CITY STREET. STOP AND GO SITUATION.
CONSTANT RPM JUMPING EVERY TIME YOU TRY TO DO HIGHWAY SPEED (65 TO 70 ON MY INTERSTATE AND TURNPIKE). THE PROBLEM STARTED AT 42000 MILES. I TOOK IT TO TOM HESSER NISSAN IN DUNMORE PA. THEY TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG BUT THEY NEEDED 4 HRS TO REPROGRAM THE ECM. THE CAR WAS TAKEN BACK SEVERAL TIMES. EACH TIME THEY SAY THEY ARE ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM BUT THEY REPORT TO NISSAN THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM, EVEN AFTER HAVING MY CAR FOR 4 DAYS IN THEIR SHOP. THEY CONSTANTLY SAY NOTHIGN IS WRONG. NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS ASID THEY WOULD COVER THE WARRANTY EXTENSION. WHEN I CONTACTED THEM ABOUT IT, THEY DENIED IT. WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TO PAY $250 FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT IT BUT THEY WOULD ONLY PUT IN FOR A OUT OF WARRANTY REPLACEMENT IF IT FAILS COMPLETELY. WAS TOLD OUT OF WARRANTY REPLACEMENT CONSISTS OF ME COMING UP WITH $4000 FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY WOULD WRITE OFF THE LABOR. NISSAN AND TOM HESSER NISSAN PERFORMED BREACH OF CONTRACT UNDER THE WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY WOULD NOT PROPERLY ADDRESS THE ISSUE WHILE IT WAS UNDER THE BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY. CAR IS STILL GIVING ME ISSUES AFTER 3 YEARS. I REQUESTED THAT NISSAN BUYS BACK THE VEHICLE BUT THEY SAID THEY WILL ONLY GIVE ME $4200 TRADE IN VALUE FOR IT AND I WOULD HAVE TO PAY OFF THE REMAINING LOAN BALANCE. THE DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN WOULD NOT HONOR THE BUMPER TO BUMPER POWERTRAIN WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE AND WON'T HELP UNTIL AFTER THE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. ON THE HIGHWAY SHE BUCKS AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS ON ANY INCLINE AND REVS FROM 3000RPM TO 5000RPM BACK DOWN THEN UP TO 6000RPM AND THEN GOES INTO A LIMP MODE AND CUTS POWER.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (NISSAN OF NORTH OLMSTEAD, LOCATED AT 28500 LORAIN ROAD, NORTH OLMSTEAD, OHIO 44070) TO BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PRODUCE A FAULT CODE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,000.
TAKATA RECALL - CAR WAS SOLD TO ME BY JENKINS ACURA 2025 SW COLLEGE RD OCALA FL 34471 AND NEVER TOOK CARE OF THIS DANGEROUS AIRBAG PS RECALL. THE TRANSMISSION HAS GONE OUT ON IT AND IT STILL HAS A SHAKE AT 40MPH. THERE WAS A ARCING OF WIRES FOR FRONT DS HEADLIGHT HARNESS. LIGHT HAS BEEN ON FOR PASSENGER SEATBELT SINCE I BOUGHT THE CAR. TRANSMISSION WENT OUT A DAY AFTER BEING AT THE SAME ACURA DEALERSHIP ON FRIDAY LAST WEEK. TODAY IS 5/9/17. LEMON OF A CAR

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SHOULDER BURN FROM THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT, BUT DID NOT REQUIRE MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND LATER TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER. THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V242000 (AIR BAGS). I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE ON THE FREEWAY BUT CAR WAS NOT ACCELERATING, ONLY STAYING AT THE SAME SPEED. I KEPT TRYING AND THE ACCELERATOR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE SO I HAD TO KEEP THE THROTTLE FULLY DEPRESSED TO MAINTAIN SPEED. VERY SCARY
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) "FROM OWNERS MANUAL" AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS PLACED IN THE "ON" POSITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG STATUS LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATES FOR ABOUT 7 SECONDS AND TURNS OFF OR REMAINS ILLUMINATED DEPENDING ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPIED STATUS. *UNOCCUPIED FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT: THE LIGHT IS OFF AND THE FRONT AIR BAG IS OFF. AND WILL NOT INFLATE IN A CRASH. ON MY VEHICLE THE LIGHT REMAINS ON CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN UNOCCUPIED, IT DOES NOT TURN OFF AS STATED. AFTER READING NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN OWNERS, IT IS APPARENT THE DEALER DOES NOT WANT TO "FIX" THE PROBLEM AND JUST CREATES ARGUMENT OVER THE STATUS OF THE LIGHT EVEN WHEN SHOWN THE OWNERS MANUAL ON THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG STATUS LIGHT. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING AND ANNOYING WITH THIS BRIGHT YELLOW LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH, CONSTANTLY ON, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE. THE LIGHT COMES ON FROM THE TIME YOU START THE CAR UNTIL YOU TURN THE CAR OFF, EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, THEY SAY IT IS WORKING IF THE LIGHT REMAINS ON EVEN WHEN THE FRONT SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE OWNERS MANUAL STATES, NOR IS IT WHAT OTHER NISSAN OWNERS HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT. THE LIGHT SHOULD NOT STAY ON WHEN THE SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED.
WHEN PASSENGERS SIT IN FRONT SEAT, INTERMITTENTLY THE AIRBAG LIGHTS GOES ON AND OFF. DON'T KNOW IF THE AIRBAG IS REALLY GOING TO WORK WHEN IT IS SUPPOSED TO. TAKEN TO DEALER AND THEY SAY NOTHING WRONG, BUT OBVIOUSLY THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WHEN 200 POUND PERSON SITTING THERE AND THE AIRBAG SAYS IT IS TURNED OFF. DEALER WON'T DO ANYTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. TELLS ME THE CAR IS SAFE. I DON'T FEEL IT IS SAFE AND NOW FEEL I HAVE TO TAKE PICTURE OF AIRBAG NOTIFICATION WHEN DRIVING JUST IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT TO PROTECT MYSELF. SHOULDN'T HAVE TO HAVE A VEHICLE THAT HAS SAFETY FEATURES THAT DON'T WORK PROPERLY. THIS TYPE OF PROBLEM OCCURS WHETHER THE CAR IS RUNNING OR NOT RUNNING WHEN THE PASSENGER GETS IN.

THEY SAID THAT I NEED TO DRIVE MY CAR THAT DOES NOT HAVE WORKING AIR BAGS UNTIL THE TECH COMES OUT, WHICH MAY TAKE UP TO A MONTH. THEY SAID THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER A RENTAL CAR. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY WIFE CAN RIDE IN THE BACK SEAT UNTIL IT GETS FIXED.

MY CAR HAD A RECALL ON THE PASSENGER SEAT BELT, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO BE FIXED AND AFTER THEY DID, THEY TOLD ME THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL STAY ON UNTIL SOMEONE OVER 100 POUNDS SETS THERE THEN IT WILL TURN OFF, AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THE RED SEAT BELT LIGHT ON THE DASH BOARD WILL STAY ON ALL THE TIME, AND YES I STILL HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH MY CAR, BOTH LIGHTS ARE ON ALL THE TIME AND THE DEALER IS NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BEGINNING A WEEK AGO, THE VEHICLE HAS SPONTANEOUSLY SLOWED WITHOUT WARNING, AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, AND DISENGAGES THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON THE INTERSTATE WHILE CRUISING ALONG AT 65 MPH, WHEN PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT AT 5 MPH, AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN. THE ACCELERATOR BECOMES UNRESPONSIVE UNTIL YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT COMPLETELY OFF AND TRY TO DEPRESS AGAIN (SOMETIMES IT TAKES 2 OR 3 TIMES). THIS HAS HAPPENED ONCE WHILE DRIVING, THEN IT IS FINE FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP (HOURS), AS WELL AS CONTINUOUSLY THROUGHOUT A TRIP. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP SAID THEY COULDN'T FIX IT BECAUSE THERE WERE NO ERROR CODES AND THEY COULD NOT REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM BY TEST DRIVING. AFTER THE FIRST TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP, I NOTICED A CORRELATION BETWEEN WHEN IT IS RAINING AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE PROBLEM. WHEN THE WIPERS HAVE BEEN TURNED ON WHILE THE CRUISE CONTROL IS ON, THE CAR DISENGAGES THE CRUISE CONTROL AND SLOWS, WITH AN UNRESPONSIVE ACCELERATOR. ALSO, THE "SLIPPERY ROAD" ICON APPEARS ON THE DASH BOARD WHEN THE ROAD IS DRY AND SPONTANEOUSLY DISENGAGES THE CRUISE CONTROL. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE, ESPECIALLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO PULL OUT INTO TRAFFIC, MERGE ONTO THE INTERSTATE, NAVIGATE HILLS, OR JUST DRIVING WITH OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND YOU. I WILL CALL THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TOMORROW MORNING NOW THAT THERE SEEMS TO BE A CONNECTION WITH THE VDC (VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL) SYSTEM AND SEE IF THEY CAN PINPOINT THE ISSUE NOW. I HAVE GONE MULTIPLE TIMES TO THE NISSAN SERVICE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WILL RANDOMLY STOP SHIFTING GEARS. IT WILL BE STUCK IN 3RD GEAR AND WILL STOP ACCELERATING. MULTIPLE TIMES I HAVE BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY AND MY CAR WOULD NOT GO FASTER THAN 40MPH. I VIDEO TAPED IT AND SHOWED THE MECHANIC BUT HE SAID BECAUSE IT WASN'T DOING IT WHEN I TOOK IT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF RANDOMLY ALSO. MY CAR IS RIGHT OUT OF THE MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY WITH 64000 MILES. MY DRIVER SIDE WINDOW IS ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS. THE ENGINE IS GOING OUT. AIRBAG RECALL ON NISSAN SENTRA. WENT TO THE DEALER FOR THE RECALL. AFTER RECALL THE AIRBG LIGHT REMAINS ON WHILE PASSENGER SEAT IS OCCUPIED. BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY DID ANOTHER SOFTWARE UPLOAD. LIGHT REMAINS ON WHILE SEAT IS OCCUPIED. BACK TO DEALER, THEY REPLACED "SCALES." LIGHT REMAINS ON WHILE PASS SEAT IS OCCUPIED. BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY REPLACED THE SENDING UNIT. LIGHT REMAINS ON WHILE SEAT IS OCCUPIED. CALLED THE DEALER, WAITING FOR REPLY. THE LIGHT COMES ON ONLY INTERMITTANTLY WHILE THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED, OR RATHER FAILS TO GO OUT INDICATING THE AIRBAG IS ARMED. THIS OCCURS WHILE THE SEAT IS OCCUPIED BY 120 LB WOMAN, AND 200 LB MAN. APPARENTLY THE DEALER IS UNABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM, SO FAR.

It is sporadic, when I accelerated there is hesitation in the transmission. I almost didn't make my left hand turn fast enough to not get T Boned it has been happening since I got the car in 2016. The dealer is aware of the issue and they said they adjusted something but it keeps coming back.

I PULLED TO THE CURB IN FRONT OF MY HOME. THE TIRE ROLLED OFF MY CAR AND THE RIM HIT THE GROUND, DESTROYING THE RIM. MY SENTRA IS A 2015 WITH 9000 MILES ON IT, WELL MAINTAINED. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN. SHOULD THIS BE A WARRANTY ITEM OR RECALL? REPAIRS FRO RIM AND TIRE CAME TO $600.00.
I HAD MY OIL CHANGED @ NISSAN OF GRAPEVINE & THEY TOOK MY CAR THROUGH THE CAR WASH WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. DRENCHING & DAMAGING THE INSIDE OF THE CAR, SEATS, FLOOR BOARD, ELECTRONICS ALL GOT WET & NO ONE EVER INFORMED ME, THEY TRIED TO COVER IT UP BY DRYING AS MUCH OF THE INSIDE. IT WAS ONLY WHEN WE SAT IN THE CAR & PUT MY PURSE ON THE FLOOR BOARD THAT WE REALIZED IT. WATER WAS SEEPING OUT OF THE DOOR HANDLES INSIDE THE CUP HOLDERS & ARM REST, DASHBOARD, ETC. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPT. I SPOKE WITH ASST MGR BRETT, I ALSO TOOK THE CAR RIGHT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP & THERE SHOWED THE SERVICE MGR MARK TOPHAM HOW WATER WAS POURING OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE SEATS, AND THROUGHOUT THE CAR. THE SCREEN ON THE RADIO WAS VERY DIM & THE SEATBELT LIGHT KEPT FLICKERING ON & OFF, THE AIRBAG ISSUE. MARK STUCK HE APOLOGIZED & SAID THEY WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT. I ALSO SPOKE WITH SAM STREET, SALES MGR, WHO AGREED, THAT THEY DID SERIOUS DAMAGE TO MY CAR & SAID HE WOULD BE SPEAKING TO OWNER MR. JOHNNY CANTRELL ABOUT A NEW VEHICLE REPLACEMENT & HAVE JOHNNY CONTACT ME DIRECTLY. I LEFT THE CAR THERE & TOOK AA RENTAL CAR. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MGR MARK TOPHAM, NEXT DAY ADVISING ME, THAT ALL THEY ARE GOING TO DO IS REPLACE THE SEAT BELT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET THE SEATBELT LIGHT TO QUIT FLASHING & REPLACE THE INSIDE BOTTOM CUSHION OF ONE OF THE FRONT SEAT. I ADVISED MARK, THAT THEY DESTROYED MY NEW CAR BY WATER DAMAGE & THEY OWE ME A NEW VEHICLE REPLACEMENT, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY TRIED TO HIDE THE FACT & NEVER DISCLOSED IT OR CHANGED THE OIL TO BEGIN WITH. HE SAID HE WOULD LET THE OWNER JOHNNY CANTRELL KNOW & HAVE HIM CALL ME. I NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE OWNER JOHNNY CANTRELL, NOR IS THE COMPANY WILLING TO MAKE RIGHT WHAT THEY DID WRONG. THE FIRST ISSUE OCCURRED JULY 18. DURING MY TRIP TO VIRGINIA, I BEGAN TO LOSE BRAKING. THE CAR WOULD THEN SHUT OFF. I WAS ENTERING INTO ARLINGTON, IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA. THIS ISSUE WAS DANGEROUS TO ME AND OTHER DRIVERS. EVENTUALLY, THE CAR SHUT OFF EVERY TIME I BRAKED. IT WAS TOWED TO PASSPORT NISSAN IN VA, WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AS TRANSMISSION/TORQUE CONVERTER ISSUES. THE NEXT EVENT OCCURRED ON PULASKI HIGHWAY IN MARYLAND DURING RUSH HOUR. I PULLED OUT OF A CONVENIENCE STORE, WENT TO ACCELERATE, AND THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THE ENGINE WAS FULLY ENGAGED. AGAIN, IT WAS TOWED. I AM TOLD THIS IS ALSO A TRANSMISSION ISSUE. MY VEHICLE WAS PUSHED OFF THE ROAD BY A STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION VEHICLE AND SUSTAINED BODY DAMAGE AS A RESULT. I AM REQUESTING A BUYBACK FROM NISSAN.
