THE CAR IS IN THE SHOP AT THE DEALER FOR THE AIRBAG RECALL FOR THE 5TH TIME NOW THE FIX WAS SUPPOSED TO TURN ON THE AIRBAG WHEN SOMEONE SITS IN THE SEAT. ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS THE AIRBAG REMAINS OFF WHEN SOMEONE IS SITTING IN THE SEAT WHILE DRIVING THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THEY'RE REPLACING THE CONTROL MODULE FOR THE AIRBAGS THEY HAVE RESET IT THREE DIFFERENT TIMES WITHOUT SUCCESS. THEY GAVE ME A RENTAL CAR LOOKS TO BE ABOUT THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL IT ALSO HAS ISSUES WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT IT'S SUPPOSED TO REMAIN ON WHILE NO ONE IS IN THE SEAT YESTERDAY I VIDEOTAPED IT BEING OFF WHILE NO ONE WAS IN THE SEAT THEY STILL HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM AND COULD END UP IN INJURY OR DEATH IF IN AN ACCIDENT
WHILE DRIVING70 MPH THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING I PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE. WAIT FOR COUPLE MINUTES AND STEP ON THE GAS VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. TURNED THE ENGINE OFF WAIT FOR 10 MIN TURNED THE ENGINE ON AND VEHICLE RESPOND. THIS IS HAPPENING SINCE VEHICLE WAS 7 MONTHS OLD. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY SAID EVERITHIG IS FINE. IM STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM EVEN WORSE
IN JULY OF 2016 THE WEATHER WAS OVER 100 DEGREES AND THE CAR SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN AND I HAD TO PULL INTO PARKING LOT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. HAD TO SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART.
2015 SENTRA HAS A WIND NOISE THAT IS RELATED TO INTERSTATE SPEEDS AND HIGH CROSS WINDS. THE LEAST THE NOISE WILL DO IS SOUND OUT IN BEEPS AND BUZZES LOUDER THAN POLITE CONVERSATION. AT WORST IT CAN COME AS A FULL ON BLAST OF NOISE LIKE A TRUCK HORN OR SOMEONE SUDDENLY YELLING INTO YOUR RIGHT EAR WHILE YOUR CONCENTRATING ON THE RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC AND THE EVER CHANGING SITUATION. NO DRIVER SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP THIS LEVEL OF DISTRACTION WHILE DRIVING. MY WIFE HAS BEEN DRIVING THE WASHINGTON DC METRO AREA ROADS AND BELTWAY FOR OVER 40 YEARS. SHE HAS NEVER HAD AN AT FAULT ACCIDENT. SHE HAS NEVER GOTTEN A TICKET. THE DRIVING HERE IS A CHALLENGE DUE TO THE VERY HIGH SPEEDS THE TRAFFIC MOVES AT. MY WIFE WON'T DRIVE OVER 70 MPH. BASICALLY EVERY ONE IS BLOWING BY HER LIKE SHE'S SITTING STILL. HAVING A RANDOM LOUD BURST OF NOISE IN YOUR EAR IS UNNERVING. NISSAN STATES IT'S A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE CAR!! MUST BE BECAUSE THE VERSA LOANER DID IT TOO. WITH THE FOCUS ON NOT HAVING DISTRACTED DRIVERS IT SEEMS ODD A MANUFACTURER WOULD PROMOTE THIS AS A FEATURE.
OCS SYSTEM. THE RECALL SOLUTION IS UNDESIRABLE PLEASE GIVE A BETTER SOLUTION. I WILL EVEN PAY. THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT AND IT IS A DISTRACTION.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TWO DAYS AGO FOR A RECALL REPAIR OF THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG. THE CONTACT REACHED OUT TO THE DEALER, BUT RECEIVED NO ANSWER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE LOCAL DEALER. THE FAILURE WAS NOT REMEDIED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V242000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,500. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.

THE CONTACT WAS LATER INFORMED THAT THE PARTS MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR MONTHS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I RENTED THIS VEHICLE FROM BUDGET RENTAL CARS AND WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE 435 GOING 65 MILES AN HOUR. I HEARD AND FELT A "POP" AND MY POWER STEERING FAILED. I WAS WITHIN .1 MILES OF AN EXIT AND WAS ABLE WRESTLE THE STEERING WHEEL TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO SAFELY STOP. I AM NOT SURE IF A WOMEN LIKE MY WIFE WOULD BE ABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR IF SHE WERE THE DRIVER. AFTER I STOPPED AND TURNING THE CAR OFF, THE PS LIGHT (THAT LIGHT AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT) TURNED OFF AND POWER STEERING RETURNED. I REFUSE TO DRIVE THE CAR AND AWAITING A RENTAL EXCHANGE. VERY UNSAFE SET OF CIRCUMSTANCES.
DRIVER'S SEAT BELT KEEPS RELEASING WHILE DRIVING. LATCH DOES NOT FULLY ENGAGE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO FASTEN BELT. ONGOING ISSUE SINCE LATE JUNE. SUPPOSEDLY DEALERSHIP ORDERING PARTS TO REPAIR IT BUT STILL HAS NOT HAPPENED.

OUR SENTRA HAS A CVT. IT CURRENTLY HAS LESS THAN 7,500 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. ON THREE (3) OCCASIONS, THE TRANSMISSION HAS FAILED TO UPSHIFT AS WE MOVED AWAY FROM A STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. AT 30 MPH OR LESS, THE TACH IS AT 4,000 RPM. WE HAVE TO FIND A SAFE PLACE TO PULL THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, PUT THE TRANS SELECTION LEVER IN PARK AND THEN RESTART OUR JOURNEY. WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE NISSAN DEALER WHO TOLD US THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM......NO COMPUTER ERROR OR MALFUNCTION. WE CONTACTED NISSAN USA AND WERE TOLD THE SAME THING. CAR WAS HACKED, WATER, LAUNDRY DETERGENT, CAR CARE ITEMS WERE STOLEN FROM THE TRUNCK. REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE CARD WERE THROWN INTO THE STREET, THANK GOD I RECOGNIZED THE PLASTIC FOLDER.

THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,500.

ALSO, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP. THE FAILURES OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING AND WERE INTERMITTENT. THE DEALER COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL 400 TIRES, SIZE: P205/55R16. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE ROADSIDE AND EXITED THE VEHICLE TO OBSERVE THE TIRES. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE RIM AND TIRE WERE SEVERELY DAMAGED. THE RIM AND TIRE WERE REPLACED WITH A SPARE BEFORE IT WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRE AND RIM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE TIRE WAS THE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE AND TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
I AM DRIVING IN MY CAR (2005 NISSAN SENTRA 1.8S) ON CANAL POINTE BLVD, NEW JERSEY ON 03/27/2015 AND CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED. LUCKILY I AM ON LOW SPEED AND ABLE TO PULL THE CAR TO THE RIGHT LANE. THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT NOT STARTED IMMEDIATELY BUT AFTER FEW MINUTES RESTARTED AND DROVE FOR FEW MILES THEN EXPERIENCED SLOWING DOWN. HENCE TOWED TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP EAST WINDSOR, NJ. AFTER DIAGNOSIS SERVICE ADVISORS INFORMED ABOUT FAILED CRANK SENSOR AND NEED TO REPLACE. THEN I REMEMBERED THE SIMILAR ISSUE HAPPENED IN 2011. I WAS ON NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE DRIVING AROUND 65 MPH CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED AND LUCKILY AT THAT TIME AS WELL, I WAS DRIVING IN RIGHT MOST LANE ON TURNPIKE AND ABLE TO PULL THE CAR ON RIGHT SHOULDER. AFTER FEW MINUTES CAR STARTED AND THEN TOOK THE CAR TO FIRESTONE, LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ AND THEY FIXED THE CRANK SENSOR ISSUE. TODAY WHEN I CONTACTED NISSAN TOLD RECALL WAS ONLY FOR 2005 NISSAN SENTRA THAT HAS 2.5 L ENGINE AND MY CAR NOT IN THE RECALL LIST. AGAIN THIS COMPLAINT IS ABOUT COST FOR REPLACEMENT AND ABOUT SAFETY. LUCKILY BOTH THE TIMES I WAS LUCKY NO OTHER CAR/TRUCK BEHIND MY CAR. WITHOUT ANY PRE-NOTICE, CAR SUDDENLY STALLS ON THE ROAD. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THESE CARS ON ROADS UNLESS NISSAN RECALLS CRANK SENSORS OF THEIR CARS AND ENSURES CRANK SENSOR FAILURES NOT HAPPENS AGAIN. CARS SUDDENLY STALLS ON THE ROADS WITHOUT ANY PRE-NOTICE IS UNACCEPTABLE. FIRST TIME WHEN CRANK SENSOR FAILED, CAR HAS 95000 MILES AND THIS TIME CAR HAS 141000 MILES.PLEASE HELP ON THIS AND MAKE SURE NISSAN RECALLS THE CARS THAT HAS CRANK SENSOR FAILURES. NISSAN WILL HAVE DATA ABOUT MODELS THEY GET CRANK SENSOR FAILURES. ALL THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED. DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPS ON THE ROAD. PLEASE ASSIST CUSTOMERS LIKE ME NOT MEETING WITH ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF USING NISSAN CARS THOSE HAS CRANK SENSOR FAILURES.
THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON RANDOMLY WITH/WITHOUT OCCUPANT. WILL STAY ON FOR PERIODS OF 30 MINUTES AT A TIME. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHEN CAR IS STATIONARY, IN MOTION, ON A CITY STREET OR A HIGHWAY, TURNING, BRAKING, ANYTIME. I ONLY HAVE 1300 MILES ON THE CAR.
I WAS DRIVING HOME AND I HAD THIS PROBLEM TWICE YESTERDAY ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING ABOUT 65 MPH PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL TO THE MAX AND THE CAR DOESN'T SPEED UP THE CAR STARTED TO SLOW DOWN SO I STARTED TO PUSH THE GAS PEDAL MORE TO SPEED UP. EVEN THAT I PUSHED THE PEDAL AS FAR AS POSSIBLE THE CAR DID NOT SPEED UP. I PULL OVER ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY TURN OFF THE CAR AND TURN ON AGAIN CAR THEN THE CAR ACTED NORMALLY. I GOT HOME CALL THE NISSAN DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME TO BRING THE CAR WHEN I GET THERE AND THE TECHNICIAN AT THE DEALER DO THE ANALYSIS TOLD ME NO CODES BEEN DETECTED BY THE COMPUTER AT THE SERVICE DEP. BUT HE KNOWS BECAUSE I HAVE ONE OF MY TAIL LIGHT CRACK THERE IS A SENSOR THAT SEND INFO TO THE COMPUTER AND THAT'S WHY MY CAR LOSE ALL THE POWER IN THE ACCELERATION. BUT HE KNOWS IS THE CRACK ON THE TAIL LIGHT AND I NEED TO CHANGE THE LIGHT ASAP. I CAN BE IN A HUGE ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS SENSOR ON THE LIGHTS AND IS RIDICULOUS CAR SLOW DOWN BUT IS NOT ANY LIGHT ON AT THE DASHBOARD OF THE CAR ADVISING SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR. IF THIS IS NOT BRING TO THE NISSAN IM GOING TO GET A LAWYER BECAUSE IS MY LIFE IN RISK IF THIS HAPPEN AGAIN.
AFTER DRIVING THE CAR ONE EVENING THE ENGINE SPONTANEOUSLY CAUGHT A FIRE. THE FIRE DEPTARTMENT SAID IT STARTED FROM SOME PROBLEM IN THE ENGINE. IN ADDITION WE NOTICE THE HEAT OF THE FIRE DID NOT DEPLOY THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR-BAGS. NORMALLY IN MANY CASES OF CAR FIRES THE FIRE WILL DEPLOY THE EMERGENCY AIR-BAGS AND CAUSE THE CAR ALARM TO SOUND THIS DID NOT HAPPEN WITH MY INCIDENT. *TR
REAR END FISHTAILS UNDER SPEEDLIMIT. ESPECIALLY AT A TURN ON DRY ROAD ITS FISH TAILS. SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE IM IN A LOWRIDER 3 WHEELIN DOWN MY STREET. ELECTRIC P.S PULL TO THE LEFT WAY TO MUCH AND SOMETIME ALSO TO THE RIGHT.
MY PASSENGER AIRBAG "ON/OFF" LIGHT ON THE CENTER CONSOLE LIGHTS (MEANING PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF) AT COMPLETELY RANDOM TIMES WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION. THE LIGHT WILL ILLUMINATE WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT ANY SPEED AND CONDITION WITHOUT A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT OR OTHER TIMES WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT. CONDITIONS INCLUDE GRAVEL ROADS, HIGHWAY, STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, NORMAL CITY DRIVING, EVEN PARKING LOT DRIVING. I HAVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS DOCUMENTED FOR BOTH SCENARIOS. MY WIFE IS VERY WORRIED WHEN SHE IS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHILE WERE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND SUDDENLY HER AIRBAG SAYS IT HAS TURNED OFF. I HAVE INCLUDED A CELL PHONE PICTURE OF THE PASSENGER SEAT EMPTY WITH THE LIGHT ON. I WAS DOING APPROXIMATELY 55MPH ON FLAT LEVEL DRY PAVED ROAD WHEN THE PHOTO WAS CAPTURED. I BELIEVE THE PROBLEM BEING CAUSED BY FAULTY SEAT SENSORS IN THE PASSENGER SEAT BASE. THE PROBLEM IS ONGOING AND STARTED APPROX. 2/15/16 WITH 3100 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. I WILL BE TAKING IT TO A DEALER ON 5/20/16
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 TO 80 MILES FOR HOURS WHILE SUDDENLY I WAS GETTING CLOSE TO MY DESTINATION AND THE CAR WON'T MOVE YOU CAN HERE THE RPM GOING UP TO LIKE 2500 BUT THE CAR DON'T MOVE AT ALL THE GAS PEDAL WAS PRESS OTHER WAY IN BUT STILL WON'T MOVE, IN ORDER TO FIX THE PROBLEM I HAVE TO SHUT OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED RIGHT AWAY THEM NEVER HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AGAIN.
WHILE APPROACHING A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT IT TURNED GREEN AND I ACCELLERATED TO THE ROAD SPEED OF 40 MPH. THE NEXT TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED RED AND I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL BUT IT DIDN'T COME UP AND RELEASE, THE CAR CONTINUED TO GO. I USED MY BRAKE AND SLOWED THE VEHICLE TO A STOP. THE LIGHT CHANGED AND THE GAS PEDAL WAS STILL STUCK DOWN. I MADE A LEFT TURN AS I KNOW THAT ROAD IS LONG AND WOULD GET ME OUT OF TRAFFIC. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TURN I HEARD AND FELT A LOUD POP AND THE GAS PEDAL FINALLY RELEASED ALLOWING ME TO BRAKE PROPERLY AND STOP THE VEHICLE. HAD MY NEWLY LICENSED 17 YEAR OLD BEEN DRIVING, HE WOULD HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL TO SEE WHY THIS CAR'S GAS PEDAL WON'T RELEASE!! I AM WAITING FOR A TOW TRUCK NOW.
DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR REMAINS ILLUMINATED ON DASH DESPITE SEAT BELT BEING PROPERLY ENGAGED BOTH DURING USE AND NWHILE PARKED.. REMOVAL AND RECONNECTION OF SEATBLET DOES NOT CORRECT ISSUE. ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS ON BOTTOM OF DRIVER SEAT APPEAR INTACT.
1-- THE DASHBOARD IS HAS A BIGGER GAP ON THE DRIVER SIDE IN RELATION TO THE DOOR THAN THE PASSENGER SIDE. 2- TIRES DON'T RESPOND IMMEDIATELY WHEN DRIVING OFF FROM A PARKING LOT WHERE THE SURFACE IS NOT TOO SMOOTH(NOT SMOOTH ENOUGH) 3.THE BRAKES DON'T WORK PROPERLY WHEN DRIVING LES THAN 35 MILES AN HOUR IT ROLLS INSTEAD OF STOPPING THE CAR AT POINT OF CONTACT WITH THE BRAKE PEDAL

THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY AFTER COMING OFF A COMPLETE STOP. ONCE I TURN THE CAR OFF AND WHEN TO TURN IT BACK ON AND PUT IT IN GEAR, IT WOULDN'T SHIFT GEARS. IT STARTS BUT WOULDN'T MOVE.
AT RANDOM THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT TURN OFF WITH A PASSENGER IN THE SEAT WHILE THE CAR IS BEING DRIVEN . IT HAS STAYED ON UP TO 20 MILES AND AS LESS AS AROUND 5 MILES . A PART TO FIX IT WAS ORDERED AND INSTALLED BUT DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE . WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALER AND THEY REPROGRAMMED IT BUT THAT DIDN'T FIX IT . WE ASK 2 MORE TIMES FOR THEM TO CHECK IT STATING IT'S NOT SAFE . ONE DEALER SAID STOP AND CUT CAR OFF AND THEN RESTART . THE OTHER DEALER SAID WE WEREN'T SITTING FURTHER ENOUGH BACK IN THE SEAT FOR THE SENSOR AND TO RAISE UP AND SLIDE BACK . THE LIGHT ISSUE STILL ISN'T SOLVED . WE HAVE DEALERS RECEIPTS AND WE HAVE PICTURES WITH THE CAR IN MOTION SHOWING PASSENGERS LEGS , AIRBAG LIGHT ON AND SPEEDOMETER TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS . WE HAVE MULTIPLE PICTURES WITH DIFFERENT DATES . THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE WE BOUGHT THE CAR NEW IN MAY 2015 .

AIR BAGS DEPLOYED CAUSING BURNS AND SEAT BELT BRUISES. THE FORCE WAS SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO BEND A METAL BAR. I CAN'T EXPLAIN HOW THE INCLINED SURFACE DIDN'T EVEN HELP STOP THE CAR FOR IT SEEMS TO STILL BE GOING INSTEAD OF STOPPING. IT SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN SUCH A BAD IMPACT SINCE GRAVITY AND FRICTION WHERE WORKING TO STOP THE CAR. I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT.
THIS CAR MAKES ALL KINDS OF NOISES LIKE IT'S GOING TO FALL APART, IT HESITATES WHEN AT A STOP LIGHT LIKE IF IT HAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. I CHECKED THE MANUAL OF MY CAR ACCORDING TO MY TYPE OF MOTOR MRA8DE AND IN THE DOCUMENT THE VISUAL AID SHOWS THIS ARM ASSEMBLED. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AGENCY AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION, THE PERSON IN CHARGE SAW MY CAR AND DOUBTFUL TOOK ME TO SEE THE EXHIBIT CAR. WE OPENED THE HOOK OF THE EXHIBIT CAR AS WELL AND CONFIRMED THAT THE SUPPORT ARM WAS PRESENT IN THE CAR, HE WENT TO EXPLAINED THE SITUATION TO THE OFFICE AND RETURNED WITH AN ALLEGED DOCUMENT FROM THE NISSAN CORPORATIVE WHERE IT WAS SAID THAT SENTRA 2015 MODELS DIDN'T INCLUDE THIS ARM AND IT WAS AN ENGINEERING CHANGE FROM THE 2014 MODELS. I ASKED HIM WHAT ABOUT THE CAR MANUAL THEN THAT WAS GIVEN WITH THE CAR AND THE PERSON SAID THAT THE MANUAL ARE NOT UPDATED EVEN DUE TO THE ENGINEERING CHANGE OF THE 2015 MODELS. I ASKED FOR A COPY OF THIS DOCUMENT BUT IT WAS NOT GIVEN BECAUSE SUPPOSEDLY IT NEEDED AND UPDATE WHAT MAKES ME DOUBT OF IT.
