Between 75-85 miles an hour, the car gets sluggish, acting like it cannot "stay in gear" and the rpms shoot around wildly. It gets worse when it is hotter outside. It feels like it loses power and then shoots up in power erratically, typically in that speed range. My car has only 54620 miles on it
The was engine stalling, shuddering, jerking, and after a while I had loss of power, all of this happened when I was driving 65 mph on the highway.

Car started with a light vibration and after driving for a few feet would no longer accelerate when pressing the gas. For the first few days it would violently jolt like if someone hit me before gaining speed, but when i hit the brake it lags to accelerate. Now the fastest it goes it 20mph. If I press the gas pedal the engine makes a loud noise but does not speed. The dealer provided a code P2895 and suggested changing the whole transmission. The car has kept up with all maintenance checks and fluid changes and is in good condition it just reached 100,000 no accidents. The stalling happened while I was in traffic on the freeway and jolting of the car made it feel unsafe luckily I was able to use the shoulder to exit and call a tow truck. No accident but does not feel safe to continue to drive Cruise control never worked since I bought it. Bought the car new and got it fixed while it was still under warranty but stopped working again. Didn’t bother to cont. getting it fixed since I don’t use it
When driving my car loses pet like it is going from 65 to 40 on the highest it poses a threat n because you never know when it will happen and twice already I have almost been on a car accident due to the loss of pet
Engine light keeps coming on and throws the code for mass air flow sensor even after this was replaced
CEL light came on while driving, took car to O'Reilley's who reported a P0101 sensor reading. Assistant manager said that that is a common sensor to fail, however, when I purchased my car at Carmax 2 years ago, they had replaced it.
Have driving issues.. 3 times lose power. Transmission issues. Mileage still low (66.000) Jumping while drivering.. vibration

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START-UP, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTOMOTIVE AVENUES LOCATED AT 10701 W 6TH AVE, LAKEWOOD, CO 80215 TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS CLEANED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. A NEW MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR WAS INSTALLED AND ENGINE CHECK LIGHT CAME ON, NOT LONG AFTER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. VEHICLE IS STILL PUTTERING AND HESITATION STILL ONGOING. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 68,000.*DT*JB *BF THE CONSUMER STATED A NEW MAF WAS INSTALLED BUT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON, ALSO THE VEHICLE STILL PUTTERS AND HESITATION. *TR
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME THE CAR WILL MAINTAIN A CERTAIN SPEED BUT THE RPMS WILL RAISE AND LOWER AND YOU CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REV UP AS IF IT IS ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE GEARS.
I AM MICHIGAN RESIDENT WHO RECENTLY TOOK A JOB OUT OF STATE IN WI. ON 02/17/19 I WAS TRAVELING TO WISCONSIN. DURING THE TRIP MY CAR BEGAN TO DEVELOP ISSUES WITH SUDDENLY ACCELERATING AND DECELERATING AS WELL AS LOSING POWER. AT MANY POINTS I NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR ON THE ICE ROADS DUE TO THE POWER LOSS AND SHUDDEN SHIFTS. I CAME TO FIND THAT MY CAR, A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA (WHICH I BOUGHT USED FROM CARITE IN 2017), UTILIZED A CVT TRANSMISSION, WHICH UNBEKNOWNST TO ME WAS A KNOWN TO HAVE PROBLEMS AFFECTING CVT TRANSMISSIONS THAT ARE IN MANY NISSAN CARS. NISSAN HAS FAILED ON THEIR PART TO INFORM THE CONSUMER ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, AS DID THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. NISSAN ALSO OWNS A 75% STAKE IN THE COMPANY THAT MAKES THESE TRANSMISSIONS FOR THEIR CARS. JATCO IS THE COMPANY. ON 02/18/19, I ALSO FILED A CONSUMER COMPLAINT AGAINST NISSAN. NISSAN REQUESTED I BRING THE CAR TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT EXAMINED. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO A LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN GREEN BAY, WI WHERE IT ESSENTIALLY DIED. I WAS TOLD THAT THE ANSWER WAS TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FOR APPROXIMATELY $4100.00. NISSAN DECIDED THAT, DESPITE THE KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS, THEY WILL NOT HELP AT ALL. I AM DISABLED (I HAVE ONE LEG, AND ALSO SUFFERED AN INJURY TO MY SPINE AND RIGHT HAND WHICH CAUSED ME TO BE OUT OF WORK FOR A PROLONGED PERIOD ' WHICH IS WHY I WAS FORCED TO TAKE A JOB OUT OF STATE TO PROVIDE FOR MY FAMILY) AND NEED A CAR FOR BOTH MY JOB AND TO GET AROUND. I CANNOT AFFORD THE REPAIR COST OF $4100.00 QUOTED BY THE DEALERSHIP. NOW I AM FORCED TO NOW RENT A CAR (AS I NEED A CAR FOR MY NEW JOB) AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $33.00 A DAY I FEEL BETRAYED AND WAS PUT AT RISK OF HARM BY NISSAN. THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED.

IN JULY OF 2016 THE WEATHER WAS OVER 100 DEGREES AND THE CAR SUDDENLY SLOWED DOWN AND I HAD TO PULL INTO PARKING LOT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. HAD TO SHUT THE CAR OFF AND RESTART.
I AM DRIVING IN MY CAR (2005 NISSAN SENTRA 1.8S) ON CANAL POINTE BLVD, NEW JERSEY ON 03/27/2015 AND CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED. LUCKILY I AM ON LOW SPEED AND ABLE TO PULL THE CAR TO THE RIGHT LANE. THEN TRIED TO RESTART THE CAR BUT NOT STARTED IMMEDIATELY BUT AFTER FEW MINUTES RESTARTED AND DROVE FOR FEW MILES THEN EXPERIENCED SLOWING DOWN. HENCE TOWED TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP EAST WINDSOR, NJ. AFTER DIAGNOSIS SERVICE ADVISORS INFORMED ABOUT FAILED CRANK SENSOR AND NEED TO REPLACE. THEN I REMEMBERED THE SIMILAR ISSUE HAPPENED IN 2011. I WAS ON NEW JERSEY TURNPIKE DRIVING AROUND 65 MPH CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED AND LUCKILY AT THAT TIME AS WELL, I WAS DRIVING IN RIGHT MOST LANE ON TURNPIKE AND ABLE TO PULL THE CAR ON RIGHT SHOULDER. AFTER FEW MINUTES CAR STARTED AND THEN TOOK THE CAR TO FIRESTONE, LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ AND THEY FIXED THE CRANK SENSOR ISSUE. TODAY WHEN I CONTACTED NISSAN TOLD RECALL WAS ONLY FOR 2005 NISSAN SENTRA THAT HAS 2.5 L ENGINE AND MY CAR NOT IN THE RECALL LIST. AGAIN THIS COMPLAINT IS ABOUT COST FOR REPLACEMENT AND ABOUT SAFETY. LUCKILY BOTH THE TIMES I WAS LUCKY NO OTHER CAR/TRUCK BEHIND MY CAR. WITHOUT ANY PRE-NOTICE, CAR SUDDENLY STALLS ON THE ROAD. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THESE CARS ON ROADS UNLESS NISSAN RECALLS CRANK SENSORS OF THEIR CARS AND ENSURES CRANK SENSOR FAILURES NOT HAPPENS AGAIN. CARS SUDDENLY STALLS ON THE ROADS WITHOUT ANY PRE-NOTICE IS UNACCEPTABLE. FIRST TIME WHEN CRANK SENSOR FAILED, CAR HAS 95000 MILES AND THIS TIME CAR HAS 141000 MILES.PLEASE HELP ON THIS AND MAKE SURE NISSAN RECALLS THE CARS THAT HAS CRANK SENSOR FAILURES. NISSAN WILL HAVE DATA ABOUT MODELS THEY GET CRANK SENSOR FAILURES. ALL THESE CARS SHOULD BE RECALLED. DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WHEN ENGINE SUDDENLY STOPS ON THE ROAD. PLEASE ASSIST CUSTOMERS LIKE ME NOT MEETING WITH ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF USING NISSAN CARS THOSE HAS CRANK SENSOR FAILURES.
