Parked the car for a meeting. Got back in Versa and it would not shift out of first gear. All fluids were checked and everything was fine.
1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? My passenger-side rear tire blew out, while I was driving on I-85 in NC. I have a photo of the tire while it was on the rack at the AAA repair shop. The temperature was normal outside, and I did not see any debris in the road. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? This occured at 3:50 p.m. on a weekday, and the safety of myself and the drivers around me was at risk, when the tire blew out and it was difficult to control my car on the intersstate. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? The car was towed to a AAA service center, and I have photos of the tire that blew out, as well as the driver's-side rear tire that is also deformed. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, but I emailed Toyo with a report that I thought there might be an issue on Nov. 9, 2023. I was towed to a AAA service center. I have photos and the reciept from having to replace both rear tires, and get a re-alignment. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. This was a sudden blow-out on the interstate while traveling. However, the car did begin shaking, so I was trying to pull to the slow lane when the tire blew out.
Unknown? Air bag light blinks all the time when vehicle is running. Steering controls on steering wheel does not WORK. Might be a malfunction. Not sure.
Airbag light keeps blinking. Came on for no reason, won't turn off. Yes It is available for inspection. My safety is as risk if the airbag employs. No I'm not aware of problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No the vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others. Warning light appeared on the Jan 28th 2023 and is still blinking when I turn car on.
Seatbelt on driver's side didn't lock. Seatbelt on passenger side did lock no one riding there. A deer jumped right in front of me going 55mph air came out but I didn't get any powder burns and seatbelt pulled all the way out. I'm a small woman lucky I didn't go through the windshield.
The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving at approximately 45-50 MPH, the steering wheel seized without warning. The contact stated that he had to apply pressure to the steering wheel. As a result, the vehicle crashed into an impact attenuator. No injuries were sustained. No police report was filed. No medical attention was needed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard. The vehicle was not diagnosed. The dealer nor the manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was approximately 180,000. The VIN was unavailable.
The Airbag light is stuck on solid(its accessable). The seatbelts lock without toucking them(its accessable). The trunk wont unlock electrical problem through wire harness(its accessable) My safety and everyone else safety is in danger with these recalls that the dealer wont acknowledge on my 2007 Nissan Versa still in 2022. The problems are on all nissan versa models through 2007 - 2012 have been confirmed by dealer and my vehicle is a 2007 nissan versa hatchback and it says theres no recalls for my VIN which Nissan needs to be sued for this or actually fix there recalls. My vehicle has not been inspected by dealer, police, or insurance. But It has been checked by professional mechanics. no lights before problem started. just came on out of no where Airbag light never blinks just stays on solid after car is turned on. and the trunk worked just fine for 15 years until yesterday. the trunk has some electrical problem after mechanic inspected it. Fix these problems. My safety is in danger and so is everyone else.
WHILE MY DAUGHTER WAS PULLING OUT OF A PARKING LOT ONTO THE STREET, THE STEERING SUDDENLY LOCKED. THIS HAS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES BEFORE. THE CAR HAD STALLING ISSUES AND WOULD OCCUR WHEN THE CAR STALLED, BUT THIS TIME AND SEVERAL OTHER TIMES THE CAR DID NOT STALL. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND I HAVE SEEN MANY OF THE SAME COMPLAINTS ONLINE FRIOM OTHER DRIVERS. I CAN'T BELIEVE NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN ON THIS ISSUE.
I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW IN SEPT.2006. NEVER HAVE HAD ANY PROBLEMS AND HAVE KEPT IT SERVICED, ON OCT 02, 2020 I WENT TO STORE AND BACK HOME ABOUT 8 MILES TOTAL, PARKED IN YARD, APPROX. 10 MINUTES LATER ALARM WENT OFF AND KEY FOB WOULD NOT DISSARM IT SO I OPENED THE HOOD AND THE WHOLE FIREWALL WAS ON FIRE, AND FLAMES BELLOWING FROM UNDERNEATH, I IMMEDIATELY RAN AND GOT A FIRE EXTINGUSHER ANDD COMPLETELY USED THE LARGE CANNISTER TO PUT FIRE OUT. THE CAR IS A TOTAL LOSS AND VERY SCAREY AND UPSETTING THAT THIS COULD HAPPEN FROM A PARKED CAR.
DUE TO RUST CORROSION ON THE UNDERNEATH FRAME AND CARRIAGE OF THIS VEHICLE, THE CONTROL ARM ON BOTH SIDES HAS SNAPPED OUT OF PLACE. THIS HAS AFFECTED MY STEERING CAPABILITIES. IT ALSO ALMOST CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON THE HIGHWAY. I AM LUCKY TO BE ALIVE. THE VEHICLE IS WITH MY MECHANIC AND I WILL INCLUDE AS MANY PICTURES AS I CAN. THE RECALL STATES THAT THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE UNNECESSARY RUST AND UNFORTUNATELY MY PIN NUMBER HAS BEEN INVOLVED. THE RUST CORROSION IS SO SEVERE THAT THE FRAME IS LITERALLY ROTTING COMPLETELY OUT. THERE IS HOLES YOU CAN SEE THROUGH ALL OVER THE FRAME OF THIS VEHICLE. I FEEL AS THOUGH NISSAN NOT ONLY PUT MY IMMEDIATE LIFE IN DANGER BUT ALSO MANY OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD AS WELL. I WAS IN THE AIR FORCE AND THEY ARE REACTIVATING ME BACK INTO SERVICE DUE TO THE COVID. PROBLEM IS THAT I NO LONGER HAVE A VEHICLE THAT WILL GET ME FROM OHIO DOWN TO MISSISSIPPI.

THE CONTACT REFERENCED THE FAILURE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V008000 (AIR BAGS) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V452000 (AIR BAGS). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 218,000. *BF CONSUMER STATED AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS ON BLINKING AND THERE WAS A RECALL BUT THE DEALERSHIP REFUSES TO FIX THE PROBLEM UNLESS CONSUMER PAYS FOR IT.*JB
HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE ROTERS, BRAKES AND TIRE CHANGED ABOUT EVERY 2 MONTHS, I ONLY DRIVE MAYBE 2000 MILES MONTHLY. WITHIN 2 MONTHS THE CAR IS SHAKING.
THE PIECES ON THE DOOR HANDLE OF 2007, SEEM TO POP OUT OVER TIME. DRIVE SIDE KEY ENTRY AND THE PASSENGER SIDE DOOR. I KNOW OF THREE NISSAN VERSA'S HAVE CAUGHT FIRE AND ALL FROM THE CAVALIER CONVERTER... THE HEATER CORE HAS SOME ISSUES. THIS CAR HAD AN AIRBAG RECALL AND I DON'T BELIEVE MY AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THAT BOTH SIDE'S AIRBAGS WERE DONE. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULD TAKE THREE WEEKS TO A MONTH TO REPAIR. WHEN I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD HAVE TO BE COMPENSATED FOR MY CAR DOWNTIME BECAUSE I DO UBER. IT WAS DONE IN TWO DAYS. THE CLOCK SPRING WENT OUT IN MY CAR. I DO NOT HAVE A LOT OF PICTURES, BUT I CAN GO IN MY FILE AND FINE THEM. THANKS FOR ANY HELP ON THESE ISSUES. THE AIRBAGS WERE DONE AT THE END OF 2017 AND I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD DO WHAT I'M DOING TODAY. I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAID TO GET MY AIRBAGS CHECKED OUT. OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS, I'VE HAD SO MANY ISSUES WITH MY CAR. I'VE SPENT OVER 2.000.00 OR MORE. I'VE LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT MY CAR FROM GOOGLE AND YOUTUBE. THANK YOU FOR ANY HELP IN THIS MATTER.
TRANSMISION WAS REPLACED BY NISSAN AND ONLY 30000 MILES AFTER REPLACEMENT TRANSMISION BROKE DOWN AND CAR WONT RUN
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 60 MPH, A LOUD EXPLOSION WAS HEARD AND SMOKE WAS PRESENT INSIDE THE VEHICLE. AFTER STOPPING TO INVESTIGATE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SEAT SIDE AIR BAG HAD ERRONEOUSLY DEPLOYED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER LECKNER NISSAN (8569 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE. ELLICOTT CITY) WERE BOTH NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
HAD THE AIR BAGS CHANGED. THE SENSOR AND LIGHT FOR THE AIR BAGS HAVE BEEN ON EVERY SINCE. TOOK THE VEHICLE IN HAD THEM CHECK IT. THEY STATED THE PLUG CAME UNDONE. WITHIN 2 DAYS THE LIGHT WAS BACK ON. THEY HAVE STATED IT WOULD $100+ TO HAVE IT RE LOOKED AT.
DURING WINTER SEASON, WHEN MORE THAN 2 INCHES OF SNOW FALLS, WHEN PRESSING ON THE BREAK, I HAVE TO PRESS AND RELEASE REPEATEDLY FOR THE CAR TO STOP AT A LIGHT. IF I TRY TO STOP WITHOUT DOING SO, THE CAR WILL CONTINUE PAST THE STOP LIGHT ROAD MARK. WHEN I PRESS ON THE BREAK, THE BREAK PEDAL FEELS LIKE IT TOUCH THE ROAD. I HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS MORE THAN THREE TIMES. EACH TIME I EXPERIENCE THIS, IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A SCARY ONE. ONE DAY, I WAS GOING INTO THE BACK OF A CAR AT A STOP LIGHT WHEN I COULDN'T BREAK. I HAD TO PRESS THE HORN AND HELD IT SO THE DRIVER WOULD REALIZE I HAD A PROBLEM. I HAD TO SWING AWAY AS NOT TO HID THE DRIVER AHEAD. I HAD JUST LEFT MY HOUSE A MINUTE ON THE SAME BLOCK, SO I WAS NOT DRIVING MORE THAN ABOUT 10 TO 15 MILES PER HOUR. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY NISSAN VERSA 2007 CAR.
I'M JUST CURIOUS AS TO THIS NEWEST RECALL NISSAN HAS ISSUES FOR CERTAIN VERSA SEDANS AND HATCHBACKS. YOU SEE, BOTH MY FRONT PASSENGER AND FRONT DRIVER (STEERING COLUMN) AIRBAGS BOTH HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A RECALL. NOW, THE SIDE AIR BAGS ARE BEGINNING TO SHOW UP ON THE RECALL LIST YET WHEN I ENTER MY VIN, IT SHOWS NO ACTIVE RECALLS. I'M NOT REALLY A BETTING WOMAN BUT I WILL SAY THAT IF MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER WERE REPLACED, WOULDN'T IT STAND TO REASON THAT THE SIDE AIRBAGS SHOULD PROBABLY BE INCLUDED IN THIS NEWEST RECALL NISSAN HAS PUT OUT? I GOT TWO SIDE AIRBAGS. ONE ON MY DRIVER AND ONE ON MY PASSENGER. AND I DON'T WANT LITTLE METAL FRAGMENTS EXPLODING IN MY FACE IF IMPACT COMES TO MY CAR. PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS IT CAN TAKE A WHILE FOR MY DEALERSHIP TO GET THE PARTS NEEDED TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS. YOU KNOW IF TWO OUT OF THE FOUR AIRBAGS HAVE ALREADY BEEN RECALLED, CHANCES ARE THE OTHER TWO ARE NEXT.
ONGOING ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT CAUSE SENSORS LIGHTS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS. AC AND ENGINE ISSUES.
While driving, I was going about 25mph, but was coming to an intersection. Before getting to the intersection the light was blinking yellow due to the time so i started to slow down so i could yield through the light. At this time, my son who was 3yrs 2mo old (at the time) was in the backseat in his carseat. As I gradually stepped on the brake pedal, I then felt a big slam, and my face smacked the airbag and dust flew all over my vehicle, and son in the backseat who didnt have an airbag deploy. As I came to realize what happened my son was in the backseat screaming and i had smoke coming from my hood. I hit a city light pole outside of a 7-Eleven store. I was unsure of what happened that caused the accident, but after it happened I got out of my car in complete shock of what hit me. my son was in pullups, and the gel stuff inside the diaper had flew all over my car as it caused the seatbelt to tighten around his legs. I grabbed my son out of the car, because it was smoking and the first thing I should have done was not moved. When i got out of car to see what hit me, i stayed on the sidewalk and waited 35mins for a cop, so by the time the cop came, who never called ems, told me i was being cited and they took my vehicle to the impound lot. The car then was considered totalled and because I was in an accident, gasoline was leaking and they said it was considered hazardous. I didn't nor did my child receive medical attention because we did not have medical insurance at the time but the officer didnt call ems. I then had to pay to get my things from the vehicle from the impound lot, and they were treating me very poorly about what i could grab and what had to left with it. I also had to pay Court Costs, and fines and due to this accident, i have suffered trauma, and my son im sure has also. My body has major pains as well as my legs, hips, neck and severe lower back pain. I am unable to care for my child as he needs at times because my body hurts so bad, i cant help.
TOOK MY CAR TO THE GARAGE TO HAVE IT INSPECTED AND WAS TOLD I WAS GOING TO NEED MY ENGINE CRADLE/ SUBFRAME REPLACED. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE GARAGE TO GET IT FIXED HE TOLD ME IT SHOULD NOT HAVE RUSTED OUT THAT BAD FOR A 2007 AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.

THE FRONT COIL SPRING BROKE IN TWO IMPALING MY FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AND LOCKING UP MY FRONT END RESULTING IN A LOSE OF CONTROL WHILE DRIVING. AFTER HAVING MY VEHICLE TOWED AND REPAIRED I LEARNED OF A RECALL BY NISSAN WHICH I HAD NO PRIOR KNOWLEDGE OF BECAUSE I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED UNTIL AFTER THE INCIDENT. NISSAN HAS REPEATEDLY DENIED TO REIMBURSE ME FOR REPAIRS IN DIRECT VIOLATION NUMEROUS SECTIONS OF 49CFR PART 573.13
TAKATA RECALL WHEN I RECEIVED MY RECALL I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP. THEY INSPECTED MY CAR AND I'M ASSUMING MY AIRBAG. SHE GOT MY NAME AND NUMBER, AND TOLD ME I WOULD BE 18TG ON THE WAIT LIST FOR MY PART, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE IN MARCH OR MAY I BELIEVE IS WHAT SHE TOLD ME. I HAVE YET TO HEAR FROM EAST TENNESSEE NISSAN OF MORRISTOWN. I EMAILED THEM AND HAVE YET TO GET A RESPONSE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING AROUND , AND THIS IS THE ONLY AUTOMOBILE I HAVE TO DRIVE. I REALLY DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING IT , IF IT COULD POTENTIALLY DEPLOY AND SEND SHARDS OF METAL FRAGMENTS AT ME.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED OVER A YEAR AGO. THE DEALER (AUTONATION NISSAN MIAMI, 3345 SW 8TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33135) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
NO RECALL. SOMEHOW CAR ENGINE CAUGHT ON FIRE, BUT THE HEAT ENGINE LIGHT NEVER CAME ON OR ANY WARNING LIGHTS. THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND MY HORN STARTING GOING OFF. THE WHOLE ENGINE AND THEN FRONT PART OF THE CAR BECAME ENGULFED IN FLAMES. THIS OCCURRED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET, GOING STRAIGHT AT ABOUT 30 MPH.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO HARBOR NISSAN (4336 TAMIAMI TRAIL, PORT CHARLOTTE, FL) TO BE REPAIRED PER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 17V449000 (AIR BAGS) AND 17V028000 (AIR BAGS). AT THE DEALER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED BY THE TECHNICIAN THAT THE COIL SPRING ASSEMBLY WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY PARTIALLY REPAIRED AND THE DEALER CHARGED THE CONTACT FOR THE COIL SPRING CORROSION REPAIR. AFTERWARDS, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE VEERED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 125,000.

THE DEALER (SPEEDCRAFT NISSAN, 885 QUAKER LN, WEST WARWICK, RI 02893, (401) 304-3400) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REMEDY REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN THE FALL OF 2017 FOR THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG. WHEN THE REPLACEMENT AIRBAGS WERE AVAILABLE IN THE SPRING OF 2018 & CALLED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. I WAS TOLD WHEN I ARRIVED THAT BECAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS FLASHING THEY NEEDED TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC TEST THAT WOULD COST $100+ TO DETERMINE IF IT WAS SAFE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAG. THEY STATED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS/SPIRAL CABLE MAY BE THE PROBLEM & THAT IT WOULD COST $1000+ TO REPLACE EVERYTHING & THAT THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 94000 MILES. I REALLY LIKE THE CAR, BUT I ALSO WANT TO MAKE SURE IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE. DO I HAVE ANY RIGHTS HERE? I CALLED NISSANONE & THEY GAVE ME A CASE # 31081454, THEY CONTACTED THE DEALER & THEY WERE TOLD THAT MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED FIRST. I HAVE OWNED THIS CAR FOR 10 YEARS, BROUGHT IT NEW, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS NEVER CAME ON. MAYBE THE DEALER USED "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT AS A BLANKET TERM FOR ANY LIGHT THAT LIGHTS UP ON THE DASH BOARD. I DON'T KNOW. THE NISSAN REPRESENTATIVE JUST KEEP SAYING THAT FOR SAFETY REASONS I NEEDED TO HAVE IT CHANGES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE OR MAYBE TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. I WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE ABOUT 40 MILES TO ANOTHER NISSAN DEALER, WHICH IS OK, BUT WHY SHOULD I HAVE TOO DO THAT? ANY ASSISTANTS OR ADVICE YOU CAN GIVE ME IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
I WENT WITH MY CAR TO A DEALER: AUTO NATION NISSAN MIAMI AND THEY CHANGE THE TWO INFLATOR AIR BAGS ACCORDING BY DEALER DOCUMENTS BUT THE AIR BAG SIGNAL IN THE DASHBOARD CONTINUE BLINKING LIKE THE AIR BAG SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING. I CALL THEM AND THEY SAID CAN'T DOING ANYTHING.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (PRIORITY NISSAN WILLIAMSBURG LOCATED AT 6390 RICHMOND RD, WILLIAMSBURG, VA 23188) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE CLOCK SPRING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,250. *TT *AS

COIL SPRING RECALL - REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR THE FRONT COIL SPRING (MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER PM565 NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 15V-573) WERE NOT MADE AVAILABLE BY NISSAN TO MY NISSAN DEALER (CONICELLI NISSAN IN CONSHOHOCKEN, PA). THIS IS PATHETIC BEHAVIOR BY NISSAN AND ITS SUPPLIERS.
TAKATA RECALL: LOCAL NISSAN DEALERSHIP (SANDY SANSING NISSAN, PENSACOLA FLORIDA) WAS CONTACTED BY US SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 4 MONTHS, REQUESTING INFORMATION ON THIS RECALL. WE WERE TOLD THE PART TO REPAIR THE AIRBAG IS NOT AVAILABLE AND WON'T BE UNTIL SPRING 2018. WHEN I CALLED AGAIN TODAY, I WAS TOLD THE SAME THING, BUT ALSO TOLD BY THE NISSAN SERVICEMAN, "THIS IS A VOLUNTARY RECALL BY NISSAN, DONE OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT." I ASKED HIM IF IT WAS THE AIRBAG RECALL THAT HAD BEEN IN THE PRESS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS FOR TAKATA AND HE SAID, "NO. THIS IS A DIFFERENT PART - JUST REPLACING THE INFLATORS AND ISN'T ANYTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. THERE IS NO THREAT TO LIFE OR WELL BEING OF DRIVERS OR PASSENGERS." I ASKED IF HE WOULD CALL ME WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE AND HE SAID, "NO, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME EVERY FEW WEEKS TO SEE IF THE PARTS ARE IN." I LOOKED UP THE RECALL ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE AND IT IS, INDEED THE TAKATA RECALL THAT PEOPLE HAVE DIED AND/OR BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED FROM THE AIRBAGS BEING FAULTY. THIS IS MY 18 YEAR OLD SON'S CAR. I'M REALLY TICKED OFF AND CONCERNED.
TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL, BEING CHARGED TO FIX!! I HAVE 2 AIRBAG RECALLS. I'VE HAD A RENTAL FOR 3 MONTHS WHILE AWAITING PARTS (EXPECTED SPRING 2018) ON 12/19/07, ADAM RUEHMAN, (SERVICE ADVISOR) CALLS ME & TELLS ME HE'S GETTING "SCREAMED AT" BECAUSE I'VE HAD THE RENTAL SO LONG. HE SAID THAT HE HAD MY AIRBAG READY. I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD BOTH, BECAUSE THAT WAS STRANGE. I CALLED NISSAN HEADQUARTERS WHO CONFIRMED THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE BOTH AIRBAGS, ONLY ONE. THAT I CAN TAKE MY CAR TO FIX ONE & KEEP THE RENTAL UNTIL THEY GOT THE OTHER ONE. I HAD TO WORK SO I HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE MORNING. THE NEXT DAY,12/20, ADAM CALLS ME TELLING ME AGAIN, THAT THEY HAVE BOTH PARTS. NISSAN HQ CALLS AGAIN & TELLS ME NOW, THAT THE SERVICE DEPT SAID THAT THEY DO HAVE PARTS FOR BOTH AIRBAGS. I BRING MY CAR IN & ADAM TELLS ME THAT IT WILL BE 300$ BECAUSE I NEED A SPRING THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE AIRBAG & THAT'S ALSO THE REASON MY HORN DOESN'T WORK. I TELL HIM THAT I DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY (XMAS TIME) I'M SINGLE MOM & BROKE. I SAID "SO WHAT DO I DO?" HE SAID "SORRY, WE CAN STILL FIX IT, IT JUST WON'T WORK" I DIDN'T TELL HIM HE COULD REPAIR MY CAR WITHOUT THE SPRING THAT I WAS REQUIRED TO PAY FOR. I WAS VERY UPSET & SENT OFF IN A COURTESY VAN TO GO GET THE RENTAL CAR & BRING IT BACK FOR THEM, EXPECTED TO DRIVE MY CAR WITH A RECALL REPAIR THAT WAS DONE INCORRECTLY. I CALLED NISSAN HQ & THEY TOLD ME THAT THE CASE WAS FORWARDED TO A HIGHER DEPARTMENT & IT WILL BE 24 HOURS & THEY COULDN'T HELP ME. I CALLED ADAM @DEALERSHIP & TOLD HIM THAT I'M NOT TAKING MY CAR LIKE THAT BECAUSE IT'S UNSAFE TO DRIVE & NOT RETURNING THE RENTAL UNTIL I HEAR FROM NISSAN HQ. HE SAID OK. SHORTLY AFTER, ADAM LEFT ME VOICEMAILS DEMANDING TO BRING THE RENTAL BACK BECAUSE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS "COMPLETE", & NISSAN WAS NOT GOING TO PAY FOR ANY MORE RENTALS, TO COME PICK UP MY CAR AND THEY WILL CHARGE ME 35$ A DAY FOR THE RENTAL.

THE CONTACT CALLED IMPERIO NISSAN GARDEN GROVE (9222 TRASK AVE, GARDEN, CA 92844, 714-537-0900) WHERE IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
AIRBAG ON DRIVER'S SIDE IS DEFECTIVE AND SUBJECT TO RECALL. TODAY I HEARD FROM MY DEALER THAT THEIR SYSTEM IS DOWN AND CANNOT FIX THE PROBLEM UNTIL SPRING 2018. NEED TO GET THIS PROBLEM TAKEN CARE OF SOONER AS I AM AT RISK EVERY TIME I DRIVE. HOW CAN I GET THIS PROBLEM TAKEN CARE OF SOONER?

TAKATA RECALL - AFTER ALREADY HAVING THE AIRBAG REPLACED ONCE, I RECEIVED ANOTHER RECALL NOTICE. I CALLED ALL NISSAN DEALERS IN THE AREA (EXTON AND CONCORDVILLE PA), AND NEITHER HAS THE PART AVAILABLE TO REPLACE. I WAS TOLD IT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE SPRING!!!!!! THIS IS A SERIOUS RECALL AND I AM UNABLE TO GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED ANYTIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
DEAR SIR, NISSAN CORPORATE HAS BEEN VERY RUDE AND PURPOSELY MIS-REPRESENTING INFORMATION WITH REGARDS TO PUTTING US IN AN ALTERNATIVE VEHICLE SINCE THE RECALL. THE ARE ALSO REFUSING TO HONOR A DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WARRANTY, THE SEAT BELT BEING STUCK IN IT'S BUCKLE. ON 11/1/2017 WE WERE ADVISED TO NOT DRIVE OUR VERSA ANY MORE IN A PHONE CALL FROM NISSAN. THE LOCAL DEALER THEN TOLD US TO CALL BACK AGAIN THE FOLLOWING DAY, AS THE PERSON WHO IS SUPPOSED TO GIVE US PAPERWORK IS ON LEAVE. WE INSISTED AND THEN A SERVICE TECHNICIAN TOLD US TO CALL ENTERPRISE AND RESERVE A CAR. ENTERPRISE SENT US BACK TO NISSAN DEALER FOR A PURCHASE ORDER. FINALLY WITH RUN AROUND, ANOTHER SERVICE TECH GAVE US THE PAPWERWORK FOR THE LOANER CAR. WE CALLED ENTERPRISE AGAIN TO BOOK THE CAR AND GOT THEIR AT THE 5:00 PM, WHEN THE CAR WAS RESERVED. IT TOOK 90 MINUTES FOR ENTERPRISE TO GET THE CAR AFTER WHICH SERVICE MANAGER RENEETA REFUESED TO GIVE US A CAR UNTIL WE PAID A DEPOSIT. SHE PERSISTED AND SUGGESTED THAT IF WE DID NOT BUY INSURANCE, THE SMALLEST DENT ON THE CAR WILL COME OFF OUR PERSONAL INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE, EVEN IF NOT OUR FAULT. I AM AT LOSS ON WHY WE SHOULD BE PAYING SUCH DEPOSITS OR BE HARRASSED BE THE NISSAN DEALER AND RENTAL CAR FOR A RECALL AND WHY IS NISSAN OFFERRING CUSTOMERS A LOANER AND THEN HARRESS THEM SO THAT CUSTOMER GIVE UP ON TAKING THE LOANER. WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AND I HEARD A LOUD BANG THEN MY CAR VEERED OFF TO THE RIGHT. LUCKILY I WASN'T ON A BUSY ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO PULL IT ALL THE WAY OVER. THE FRONT OF MY CAR BASICALLY COLLAPSED ONTO THE PASSENGER CORNER. IT WAS COVERING MY TIRE AND I COULDN'T MOVE THE CAR. APPARENTLY THE STRUT BROKE AND HAD TO GET AN ALIGNMENT. ALSO, THE ENGINE LIGHT WON'T TURN OFF AFTER I PUT GAS IN. THE GAS CAP WILL NOT SCREW ON RIGHT. MY DOOR HANDLES KEEP POPPING OFF. MY SEATBELT KEEPS GETTING STUCK. AND MY TIRE LIGHT WON'T TURN OFF WHEN NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT.

I DO NOT WANT TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE DUE TO THE SERIOUS NATURE OF THE RECALLS, HOWEVER I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO RECTIFY THIS SITUATION WITH LOCAL DEALERSHIPS. PLEASE HELP.

I CALLED MOSSY NISSAN TO SCHEDULE AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE PARTS WOULD NOT BE IN UNTIL SPRING 2018, HOWEVER, THEY WOULD PROVIDE A LOANER CAR UNTIL THE REPAIRS CAN BE MADE. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY WOULD ONLY PROVIDE THE LOANER CAR WITH MY 20 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DRIVING IF WE PAID $25.00 PER DAY FOR 9 MONTHS. NOW THIS IS THEIR RECALL, THEY ARE THE ONES THAT SAID IT WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT SAFE TO DRIVE BUT THEY WANT ME TO PAY OVER $6000 IN RENTAL FEES? SO EITHER MY DAUGHTER DRIVES AN UNSAFE CAR OR WE HAVE TO BASICALLY PAY THE VALUE OF A NEW CAR IN RENTAL COSTS. THIS IS NOT SAFE AND IF THIS IS THEIR RECALL, REGARDLESS OF THE DRIVER, THIS SHOULD BE COVERED.

SO I DID WHAT NISSAN TOLD ME TO DO AND WENT TO A DEALERSHIP, TO PICK UP A LOANER VEHICLE PROVIDED FROM NISSAN. WE WENT THROUGH ALL OF THE PAPERWORK AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SPRING 2018. I ACCEPTED THIS FACT AND WAS WILLING TO ACCEPT THEIR LOANER VEHICLE AND BRING MY CAR HOME AND NOT DRIVE IT. WHEN WE GOT TO THE RENTAL AGREEMENT THEY INFORMED ME I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE FOR LYFT OR UBER DRIVING, LYFT IS MY MAIN SOURCE OF INCOME AND I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION. I AM ALSO A DRIVER FOR AMAZON FLEX AND I'M LEAVING PIZZA HUT. WHEN I WENT TO SIGN THE RENTAL AGREEMENT THEY INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THEIR VEHICLE FOR MY JOB. ALSO THEY INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NEED TO CONTACT NISSAN FOR IT TO BE APPROVED TO BE ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES. THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION AND INCOME. SO I CONTACTED NISSAN AND THE PERSON I WAS CONNECTED WITH ESCALATED MY CASE TO A REGIONAL NISSAN MANAGER. THE SECOND PERSON CALLED ME BACK WITHIN A FEW HOURS AND INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE VEHICLE FOR MY JOB, AND THAT IF I CHOOSE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE MY CURRENT VEHICLE I WOULD BE RELINQUISHING ANY RIGHTS IF THE AIRBAGS WERE TO HARM ME. SO I EITHER CHOOSE TO ACCEPT THEIR LOANER VEHICLE AND FIND A NEW JOB, OR REFUSE THE CAR AND DRIVE MY CURRENT VEHICLE WITH AIRBAGS THAT MIGHT HARM ME AND OR OCCUPANTS OF MY VEHICLE. WHILE I WAS AT THE DEALERSHIP I ATTEMPTED EVERYTHING I POSSIBLY COULD I EVEN ASKED IF THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO ACCEPT MY CAR AS A TRADE IN THEY DENIED TO THIS BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAGS. SO I HAVE THE CHOICE OF CHANGING CAREERS OR CONTINUE TO DRIVE A CAR THAT COULD POSSIBLY INJURE ME OR ANY OCCUPANTS. I WAS INFORMED TO CONTACT THE NHTSA BY THE DEALERSHIP I PURCHASED MY CAR FROM.
