There has been a popping and creaking noise when turning the wheel at low speeds to the left, the passenger side of the car has now dropped and the spring, struts and mounts have to be replaced. The same issue that these make and models were recalled for, yet the vin does not have any recalls.
The car was having slow acceleration, horrid loud noises for awhile but no issues were found during checks but parts were replaced to try and troubleshoot but the sound and idle and running issues still persisted. The first sign of severe major issue was when the car was started it jolted forward while still in park in a first start up. Turned off the car and restarted it and it repeated the same action and then I put the car into reverse but it wouldn't reverse. Took the car to my local Firestone and they said it had an internal transmission problem and I should take it back to the dealership. Within the month I went to the dealership in person and explained the issue and they said there wasn't a recall or service call for my car. That I'd have to pay for repairs and my car wasn't under warranty since the extra service plan I purchased already ran out. While coming home from work my car started to shudder and jolt and wasn't accelerating properly. I stopped at a gas station to see if the car smelled odd and to refuel. It started up but repeated jolting shudder and less than a mile down the road the car suddenly slowed by itself and stopped accelerating. I had to hook slide to the side of the road. I put the car in park and accelerated the engine responded. So I turned off the car and restarted put it in drive after multiple tries I got it to finally accelerate. Less than half a mile down the road as the car was going downhill the car started to shutter jolt again before coming to a complete stop at a light. No matter how long I waited it would not drive but would only reverse at that point. I had to contact family to help me push the car to the roadside and called a tow. The car currently sits in the driveway will start up and reverse but when attempting to accelerate sometimes it might drive for a few minutes before refusing to accelerate. I have the 2010 Nissan Versa SL hatchback with the CVT Xtronic transmission.
Fuel pump failed with no notice while traveling on the interstate causing the engine to stop running. I was lucky that I was able to coast off the highway on to the shoulder. This occurred at night on a section of I-10 with a 75 MPH speed limit. If I had not been able to limp off the highway it would have been very dangerous. My Nissan Versa only has 75,000 miles and is well maintained. No warning lights or OBD codes were present before or after the failure. Replacing the fuel pump assembly fixed the problem.
12/27/2021 Nissan Headquarters call and a case number 45372007 given on12/21/21 after speaking with a Sandra while at the Nissan repair location in Rivergate/Madison, TN. call from Nathaniel from Nissan Headquarters in Franklin, TN regarding air bag system. Replacement as part of recall warning light complaint and case filed. Air bag warning light came on 12/19/21, diagnostic 12/21/21 air bag control system needed replacement. Clock spring was replaced October 2019, 15 months after recall issues on Takata air bag system and full replacement completed 7/26/2018. Nissan cannot cover costs due to mileage on car. I noted wanting to have this on record that these issues began after the recall on air bags and replacement in 2018. 615-725-7000 12/31/21 car air bag issue repaired then air bag light would pop on 2 more times, once in January 2022 in which they said they forgot to ‘clear codes” and then in February 2022 when other issues surfaced, another part replaced. Then light pops on again 3/15/2022 and I notified the service advisor with Nissan who’d been helping me and took the car in the following week.I have already paid for repairs to the clock spring in October 2019 between $530-$600 and the repair done 12/31/21 totaling over $1000 which includes the diagnostic fee, parts and labor. $1600 is just the bare minimum of what's been paid out.3/30/2022: Nissan Versa 2010 was dropped off again at Nissan of Rivergate/Hayes Nissan due to air bag warning light coming on again. They are running another diagnostic. This has been a continual and consistent issue since the air bag recall and replacement in July 2018. I have paid for the clock spring to be replaced October 2019 and now other parts and many trips to this Nissan for a “fix.” Which now they are saying I may have to possibly pay again. This is unacceptable and seems that there may be other consumers dealing with this issue. Something is wrong with this recall and replacement causing these issues of safety.
Air bag light came back on again. Car is back at Nissan of Rivergate in Madison, TN 2/28/2022 for another parts replacement. This again was never an issue until the air bag recall and replacement of 2018. Your tracking number assigned by NHTSA for this issue is 11448887. Air bag recall and replacement July 2018. Repaired in October 2019 after air bag light came back on: clock spring replaced, I paid out of pocket. 2021 air bag light on again: whole other issue with air bag system, I paid out of pocket again. And I have to let them know to make sure parts are put back correctly. Some areas appear to be cracked near windshield due to the work, but I know that will be hard to prove with them. Air bag light came back on-again January 2022, they initially said it was that they didn't reset the sensors. Took car back, they reset. 2/3/22 air bag light came on again now a new part is being worked on 2/28/22. This has been an issue with the airg bag recall.
Air bag warning light has continued to cause issues/coming on since the recall and replacement of the air bag system in 2018. The air bag warning light has come on in 2019, 2021 and again 2022. All since the air bag recall of Summer 2018. No issues with the air bag system prior to the recall and replacement, but plenty since the replacement. This occurs upon the initial startup of the car.
I HAVE A 2010 NISSAN VERSA I WAS TOLD AT MY CALENDAR CONVERTER IS NOT LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA AND I CANNOT PAY TO GET IT REPAIRED THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITH ILLEGAL PARTS IN CALIFORNIA
I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THIS EVENING ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 19TH WHEN I AM TRYING TO DOWNSHIFT FROM 6TH AND TRYING GET OFF THE FREEWAY I COULDN'T GOING TO GEAR SO THAT'S WHEN I HAD THE CRUISE UNTIL I CAME TO A STOP SO AFTER TURN THE CAR OFF FOR A FEW MINUTES I PUT IT IN FIRST GEAR AND THEN I PROCEEDED IT AGAIN AND WAS ABLE TO ONLY DRIVE IN FIRST GEAR ON THE WAY HOME
SOMETIME IN THE LAST 3 OR 4 MONTHS THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. TOOK CAR TO GARAGE NOV. 24,2020 TO REPAIR THE LIGHT AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE GARAGE INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR AIRBAGS BY NISSAN COVERING THE TIME FRAME MY CAR WAS BUILT . NISSAN REJECTED THE RECALL REPAIR BECAUSE THE AIR BAGS INSTALLED IN MY CAR WERE NOT TIKATA BRAND AIR BAGS. IT WOULD SEEM REASONABLE THAT ALL AIR BAGS USED IN NISSAN VERSA VEHICLES DURING THE RECALL PERIOD SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL AND REPLACED WHATEVER THE BRAND AND NOT LIMITED TO ONLY THE TAKATA BRAND.

THE TRUNK LATCH DOESN'T WANT TO OPEN. I HAVE TO GO INSIDE TO UNLATCH IT.
THE GEAR/SHIFT SELECTOR WON'T ALWAYS GO INTO PARK, DRIVE OR REVERSE CORRECTLY. WHEN THE CAR IS PUT IN PARK, IT WILL SHOW ON THE SHIFT SELECTOR AND THE DASHBOARD BUT IT'S HARD TO GET THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION, THE KEY WILL GET STUCK. WHEN THE CAR IS PUT IN DRIVE, IT WILL SHOW ON THE SHIFT SELECTOR AND THE DASHBOARD BUT IT WON'T IMMEDIATELY MOVE WHEN THE FOOT IS PUT ON THE GAS PEDAL. THE SHIFT SELECTOR HAS TO CONTINUOUSLY BE PLAYED AROUND UNTIL IT WORKS BUT IT ONLY WORKS ON A TEMPORARY BASIS.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Versa. The contact received a notification for two safety recalls NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 18V401000(AIRBAGS) and 17V449000(AIRBAGS). The contact stated that she was disabled and could not drive the vehicle to a dealer. The first dealer had been notified about the recall and informed her that they could tow her vehicle to the facility; however, she would have to pick up the vehicle once the repair was performed. Another dealer, Dennis Dillon Nissan(8727 W Fairview Ave, Boise, ID 83704) was also notified and gave her the same information. The manufacturer had been notified of the recall and offered no assistance. The contact had not experienced a failure. The recall had yet to be serviced.
I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK IN THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED THE RPMS GOING HIGH AND REALIZED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CLUTCH I HEARD A NOISE IN THE TRANSMISSION AND THE CLUTCH WAS SLIPPING I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER IN A SAFE SPOT. MY MECHANIC CAME TO LOOK AT IT AND HE TOLD ME THOSE CARS CAME OUT DEFECTIVE FROM THE DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ONLINE AFTER THIS HAPPENED AND SEE A LOT OF THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENING TO A LOT OF PEOPLE.
VEHICLE LOST CONTROL EXITING A RIGHT HAND CURVE OF A COUNTY ROAD. THE VEHICLES SPEED AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH IS ESTIMATED AT APPROXIMATELY 55-65 MPH. A POST-CRASH MECHANICAL INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE WAS COMPLETED. THE INSPECTION REVEALED THE SPLINES ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE STEERING SHAFT HAD BEEN DAMAGED. THIS DAMAGE WAS CONSISTENT IN APPEARANCE WITH THE WHEEL BEING PLACED ON THE SHAFT AND PRESSED VIA THE STEERING WHEEL NUT WHEN THE SPLINES WERE OUT OF ALIGNMENT. THE STEERING WHEEL NUT WAS ABLE TO BE SPUN WITH ONE FINGER DURING THE INSPECTION. BOTH FINDINGS WERE NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE EXPECTED CRASH DAMAGE GIVEN THE CRASH SEQUENCE. AN AIRBAG RECALL HAD BEEN FULFILLED ON THE VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2019 IN WHICH THE STEERING WHEEL WAS REMOVED. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN VERSA. THE CONTACT COMPLAINED THAT A STRANGER, WITHOUT A MASK, KNOCKED ON HER DOOR AND HUNG A NOTE ON THE DOOR HANDLE, ASKING HER TO CALL HIM BACK FOR URGENT AIR BAG RECALL. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MCKINNEY NISSAN DEALER, LOCATED AT: 3800 S CENTRAL EXPY, MCKINNEY, TX 75069 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DID NOT SEND ANYONE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND STATED THAT THE NHTSA MANDATED THEM TO DO SO THROUGH A THIRD PARTY AND THAT THE MANUFACTURER PAID FOR THE SERVICE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE NHTSA. THE CONTACT, HOWEVER, STATED THAT SHE RECEIVED A RECALL, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V008000 (AIR BAGS) AND ALREADY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT WITH THE ABOVE DEALER. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
REAR HATCH WILL NOT UNLOCK.SWITCH WAS REPLACED 2YRS AGO AND IT HAS GONE OUT AGAIN
THE INTERMITTENT WIPERS WILL NOT SPEED UP WHEN ADJUSTING THE DIAL. THEY WILL ONLY GO ONE SPEED. THEY GO VERY SLOWLY AND IT'S NOT ENOUGH FOR MODERATE TO HEAVY RAIN. THIS HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING AT SPEED IN THE RAIN ON ANY STREET INCLUDING HIGHWAYS.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING HOME, THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED FUNCTIONING AND A BURNING ELECTRICAL ODOR WAS PRESENT. AFTER ARRIVING HOME, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING AND FAILED TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR AND BELT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED AN UNKNOWN NISSAN DEALER AND WAS INFORMED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 94,000.

DRIVER SIDE REAR COIL SPRING BROKE WITHOUT WARNING. CAR WAS IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. ROAD SURFACE WAS SMOOTH. NO BUMPS, POTHOLES OR RAILROAD TRACKS.
DRIVER SIDE FRONT COIL SPRING BROKE WHILE VEHICLE IN MOTION ON A CITY STREET. CLUNKING SOUND HEARD THEREAFTER FROM SAME AREA.
MY FRONT LEFT SUSPENSION COIL JUST BROKE WHILE DRIVING OVER A SEWER COVER ON A SIDE STREET. THE FRONT LEFT END OF MY CAR DROPPED A NOT AND A METAL PIECE OF COIL FLEW OUT FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY CAR WHICH I RECOVERED. I SEE THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT HAD A RECALL, ALSO NEVER GOT THE AIRBAG RECALLED.

WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION, THE LOCKS WOULD LOCK AND UNLOCK WITHOUT THE CONTACT DOING ANYTHING. ALSO, THE ODOMETER AND FUEL GAUGE WERE FLICKERING AND NOT PROVIDING A CORRECT READING. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD REPAIR THE ODOMETER, BUT ADMITTED THAT THEY BASICALLY ROLLED IT BACK. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE MILEAGE READING CHANGED TO TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN MARCH OF 2019. SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN UNKNOWN RECALL NOTICE REGARDING THE AIR BAGS. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN UNKNOWN NISSAN DEALER TO HAVE THE RECALL REPAIR COMPLETED. THE PARTICULARS: - BROUGHT MY VEHICLE INTO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP ON 25-JAN-2019 TO HAVE THEM HANDLE WORK RELATED TO THEIR AIR-BAG RECALL - NISSAN ALSO HAD A RECALL PROGRAM RELATIVE TO ITS FRONT-END SUSPENSION SPRINGS, HTTPS://STATIC.NHTSA.GOV/ODI/RCL/2015/RCLRPT-15V573-4667.PDF - ON 21-AUGUST-2018, ONE OF MY SUSPENSION COILS HAD COMPLETELY ERODED AND THE OTHER COIL WAS CLOSE TO FULLY ERODING. THANKFULLY, THE WORN-OUT COILS WERE NOTICED WHILE THE CAR WAS NOT ON ANY ROADWAY. - 8/21/2018 WAS A TUESDAY. MY SUPERVISOR WAS FINE IN ALLOWING ME TO WORK REMOTELY THEN WHILE AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC MADE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS, RELATIVE TO NHTSA 15V-573. - WHEN I HAD SET UP MY APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALERSHIP IN MID-DEC., 2018 (FOR 1/25/19), I WAS TOLD BY THE NISSAN ON-SITE REPRESENTATIVE THAT REIMBURSEMENT FOR MY UPFRONT EXPENSES TIED TO THE WORK ON THE SUSPENSION-COIL (NHTSA) RECALL SHOULD NOT BE A PROBLEM. IT WAS JUST HER LOCATION COULD NOT FACILITATE THE REIMBURSEMENT. FISCALS ARE HANDLED BY NISSAN'S CORPORATE OFFICE. - ON 25-JAN-2019, THE NISSAN MECHANICS TOOK PHOTOS OF THE NEW COILS, IN ORDER FOR THE NISSAN CORPORATE OFFICE TO HAVE THAT PROOF. - ALAS, AFTER A SERIES OF EMAILS (WHICH I ALL HAVE) AND PHONE CALLS WITH NISSAN'S CORPORATE OFFICE, THEY CHOSE TO DENY ME ANY REIMBURSEMENT FOR A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, PER NHTSA'S 15V-573. - SO, NISSAN'S DEFECT AND RECALL HAS ME OUT OF > $1,100, THUS COSTING ME FOR THEIR DEFECT! - THEIR INTERNAL CALL-CENTER, BASED IN 0NTARI0, CLOSED CASE ON 2/11/19, WHEN NISSAN'S CORPORATE OFFICE TOLD ME THEY COULD NOT MAKE REIMBURSEMENT BECAUSE THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DID NOT HAVE THE WORD, "COIL" WRITTEN ON THE WORK ORDER / RECEIPT! - NISSAN SENT ME, THE CUSTOMER, INTO MINION MODE WITH THEIR DEFECT. IT IS NOT EXISTING CAR OWNERS' FAULTS NISSAN CANNOT GET NEW OWNERS TO MAKE THEIR PAYMENTS! THIS FLEECING MUST NOT HAPPEN!
STEERING WHEEL WOULD MOVE BUT THE WHEELS WOULD NOT THE BREAKS DON'T WORK EVEN IF REPLACED. CAR IS TOTALED NOW.JUST BECAUSE IT'S THERE ANYONE WOULD MOVE BUT THE TIRES WOULDN'T NOTHING ELSE WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR. THE BREAKS ARE NEW. IT IS LIKE THE CARE JUST SHUT DOWN.
SENSOR IN FRONT TIRE (LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON) , ALSO ENGINE LIGHT WITH CODE P1421( COLD START CONTROL)

The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was not contacted regarding the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 92,000.
FAN KNOB FOR AC/HEATER AT FIRST WOULD NOT MOVE THEN FELL OFF. MECHANIC SAID THAT THE CONNECTOR IN BACK OF CONTROL HEAD HAD MELTED. THEY SAID THEY WERE SURPRISED IT DIDN'T CATCH THE CAR ON FIRE. I HAD TAKEN THE CAR IN FOR NEW TIRES, TUNE UP, COOLANT FLUSH AND BECAUSE OF THE KNOB FALLING OFF.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. The steering wheel enclosure failed to close. The contact stated that the horn was inoperable. The vehicle was previously taken to the local dealer and was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V449000 (Air Bags) and 18V044000 (Air Bags). The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The dealer informed the contact that a diagnostic test needed to be performed on the vehicle. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
NISSAN WILL NOT COMPLETE 2 RECALLS FOR MY VEHICLE. SPOKE WITH TWO PEOPLE FROM NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS WHO STATED THEY CAN'T MAKE THE DEALERSHIP COMPLETE THE 'CAMPAIGNS'. I DON'T KNOW WHO TO CONTACT AT THIS POINT. PLEASE ADVISE.
THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY STARTED TURNING ALL THE WAY TO THE LEFT ON ITS OWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ABOUT 50MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED IN THIS POSITION AND WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO TURN BACK TO A NEUTRAL POSITION. THE CAR VEERED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT, CAUSING ME TO SPIN SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE HITTING THE CONCRETE BARRIER. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AFTER HITTING THE CONCRETE BARRIER. WE ALWAYS TOOK MY CAR FOR ALL NECESSARY RECALLS, THE LAST OF WHICH WAS ON 6/12/2018 FOR AIRBAGS. MY FRONT PASSENGER DOOR WAS CLOSED AND MY SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. MY 4 YEAR OLD SON WAS IN HIS CAR SEAT IN THE BACK SEAT ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WHEN THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. MY CAR WAS IN DRIVE BUT I WAS NOT MOVING, I WAS DROPPING A FRIEND OFF AT HOME. IT WAS ON A CITY STREET. NISSAN IS REFUSING TO PAY FOR A RENTAL UNTIL THEY COME AND LOOK AT MY CAR, WHICH THEY SAID WOULD TAKE 6 TO 8 WEEKS.

Urgent airbag safety recall. Prior to airbag recall was in a 3 car accident. Family was with me, and no one was hurt. Thankfully for this, but now I don’t feel safe driving this car regardless when airbag be repaired. Been in this vehicle for 12 years with a defected airbag which should keep occupants safe instead putting my life and others in danger. Is there a guarantee when repaired this will be safe?

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THE NISSAN VERSA IS AT 96000 MILES. THE FIRST 2 TIMES IT HAPPENS WAS ON THE STREET, TURNING FROM PARKING LOTS TO STREET. THE CAR EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN ACCELERATE, FOR A SHORT MOMENT (ABOUT 2 SECONDS). THOSE 2 TIMES WAS 1 HOUR APART. THE NEXT TIMES THE INCIDENT HAPPENS WAS ON THE HIGHWAY. FROM THE STOP LIGHT TO ENTERING THE FREEWAY, WHICH NEEDS ACCELERATION. THE CAR EXPERIENCED A RAPID SHAKE, SUDDEN ACCELERATES.THE ACCELERATIONS HAPPENS VERY CLOSELY TO EACH OTHER, ONLY SECONDS APART, AND MORE NOTICEBLE. THE TACHOMETER SHAKES AROUND 2 TO 3. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN OFF THE FREEWAY AND BACK TO THE PARKING STRUCTURE. WHEN TRANSFERING, THE CAR STILL EXPERIENCED THE SUDDEN SHAKES AND ACCELERATION. IT HASN'T BEEN OPERATED SINCE THEN DUE TO SAFY CONCERNS.

TAKATA RECALL. WE WERE UNABLE TO GET THE RECALL FIXED UNTIL MARCH 16TH AS PARTS WEREN'T AVAILABLE. WE TOOK IT IN ON FRI THE 16TH AND GOT BOTH AIRBAGS REPLACED UNDER THE RECALL. AS WE WERE LEAVING THE SHOP, THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND WAS FLASHING. WE THOUGHT IT WAS JUST RESETTING AFTER THE SERVICE. WE CALLED THE SHOP AND THEY HAD US BRING IT IN TODAY THE 21ST TO GET IT FIXED. THEY NOW CLAIM THAT IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM AND THAT WE OWE MONEY TO GET IT FIXED. THAT LIGHT DID NOT COME ON UNTIL THEY MESSED WITH THE AIRBAGS FOR THE RECALL. WE STRONGLY FEEL THAT SOMETHING THEY DID WHEN SERVICING THE CAR MADE THE LIGHT COME ON. THEY SAID SINCE IT WASN'T THEIR CAUSE, WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO FIX IT. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THEY CAUSED.
TAKATA RECALL I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR AIR BAG REPAIRS WHICH ARE REPORTED TO HAVE BEEN COMPLETED. MY AIR BAG LIGHTS ARE STILL ON. I AM BEING TOLD THIS IS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL BUT MAY RESULT IN THE AIR BAGS NOT BEING DEPLOYED IF THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT. THE LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY ON AND THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ACCIDENT SINCE THE AIR BAG LIGHTS HAVE BEEN ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT A NEW FRONT BUMPER NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED AND DENTS ON THE REAR PASSENGER DOORS NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V449000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
RECENTLY MY WIFE WAS DRIVING HER CAR (2010 NISSAN VERSA) AND THE FRONT RIGHT COIL SPRING SNAPPED. SHE WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 20MPH ON A STRAIGHT PAVED ROAD. THERE WERE NO POTHOLES ON THIS ROAD WHEN THIS OCCURRED. THE RESULT WAS IT GOUGING OUT THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE. SINCE SHE WAS TRAVELING AT A SLOW SPEED AND WAS VIGILANT ENOUGH TO SEE SMOKE AND STOP BEFORE THE TIRE WAS BLOWN OUT. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH I FOUND THAT THE COIL SPRING BREAKING WAS AN ISSUE FOR 07-12 NISSAN VERSES. BUT WHEN CALLING NISSAN ABOUT THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR WASN'T COVERED EVEN THO IT IS REGISTERED IN ONE OF THE "SALT BELT STATES".
AT 29,374 MILES, I NEEDED TO HAVE MY REAR BRAKES REPLACED. MY AUTO SHOP AND I BOTH AGREE THAT THIS IS VERY EARLY ESPECIALLY FOR THE REAR BRAKES. I NEVER RIDE THE BRAKES OR PUT MY EMERGENCY BRAKE ON. WITH A 8 YEAR OLD CAR WITH ONLY 29,374 MILES ON IT, YOU CAN SEE THAT I RARELY EVEN DRIVE THIS CAR.
TAKATA RECALL HAS PUT MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND MY LIFE IN DANGER - NOT TO MENTION COUNTLESS OTHERS.... IT IS VERY STRESSFUL KNOWING THAT THERE IS A TICKING TIME BOMB IN THE CAR WE DRIVE EVERY DAY. I HOPE AND PRAY THAT WE REMAIN SAFE UNTIL THE AIRBAG INFLATOR CAN BE REPLACED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS.
FRONT STRUTS MAKING CLUNKING NOISE, HAVE FOUND A CRACK IN THE SPRING OF THE DRIVERS SIDE OF HE CAR. SEEMS THERE IS A ACTIVE COMPLAINTS AND A FIX FOR THIS BUT HAS ONLY INCLUDED FOR CERTAIN STATES DUE TO ROAD SALT. KANSAS IS A MIDWESTERN STATE THAT ALSO USES ROAD SALT AND BRINE FOR ROADWAYS.

TAKATA RECALL "DRIVER AIRBAG FAILURE" HOW IN THE WORLD SHOULD I CONTINUE TO USE MY VEHICLE WITH THIS WARNING. NISSAN IS TELLING ME THAT THEY ARE WORKING ON GETTING THE PARTS TO MAKE THIS CHANGE. THEY ARE HOPING TO GET THE PARTS IN SPRING 2018! THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
