THE LAST COUPLE OF MONTHS, I'VE NOTICED MY CAR HAS BEEN MAKING A HIGH WHINING NOICE-WHEN I ACCELERATE, THE CAR ALSO REVS UP TO 4000RPMS , DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65MPH. YESTERDAY, 01/19/2018- MY CAR NO LONGER MOVED FORWARD- AS IF STUCK IN NEUTRAL.I'VE ALSO NOTICED THAT MY BACK TURN SIGNAL ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IS OUT, THUS AFFECTING THE FRONT DRIVER'S TURN SIGNAL. THE FRONT TURN SIGNAL "CLICKS" QUCIKLY. EVERYTIME I TURN ON THE LEFT TURN SIGNAL, MY CAR WHINES AND DOESN'T ACCELERATE PROPERLY.
THE TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AT 85,000 MILES, TOOK IT TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID THAT HE DEALS WITH IT ALL TIME AND IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH THOSE TRANSMISSIONS AND DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY NISSAN STILL USED THEM. SPOKE TO NISSAN USA AND THEY WANTED TO FIGHT TO PAY FOR THE COST AND WANTED TO REBUILD THE TRANSMISSION. THE SERVICE TECH LAUGHED AND SAID YOU COULDN'T REBUILD IT BECAUSE ITS A CLOSED SYSTEM. ONLY OWNERS OF THE CAR AND HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION WITH 85,000 MILES ON IT.

I RECENTLY PURCHASED THIS 4 YEAR OLD VEHICLE WITH 62000 MILES ON IT. DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 65 MILES PER HOUR, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER. BY THE GRACE OF GOD, I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER OFF THE HIGHWAY WITHOUT BEING RUN OVER BY THE SEMI TRUCKS TRAVELING THE HIGHWAY WITH ME. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP WHERE I WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION WAS 'DEFECTIVE' AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER LOOKING INTO THIS ISSUE, I FIND THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE EXACT SAME COMPLAINT AND ONE CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT ALREADY SETTLED OVER THE SAME ISSUE. HOW CAN A MANUFACTURER BE ALLOWED TO CONTINUE USING A FAULTY TRANSMISSION AND NOT BE MADE RESPONSIBLE FOR ITS CORRECTION? THESE VEHICLES ARE NOT CHEAP, AND THOSE OF US PAYING FOR THEM DID NOT PURCHASE A DISPOSABLE VEHICLE!
IT WAS A RAINY DAY OUTSIDE. THE FRONT AND BACK BRAKE PADS/SHOES WERE REPLACED 10,000 MILES PREVIOUSLY AT A NISSAN DEALERSHIP IN DOVER, OH. I WAS DRIVING ON NORMAL PAVEMENT. I DROVE ON A HIGHWAY AT SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH. I DROVE ON A VILLAGE MAIN ST AT A SPEED LIMIT OF 25 MPH. IT DID NOT MATTER WHAT SPEED OR WHETHER THE VEHICLE WAS STRAIGHT OR TURNING: WHENEVER THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED THERE WAS A LOUD CLUNKING NOISE. AFTER THAT, WHEN THE GAS PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED THERE WAS ANOTHER CLUNKING NOISE. THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM THE BRAKES. I ASKED A PASSENGER TO JOIN ME TO TEST THE NOISE AND EVEN LET THEM DRIVE. THEY CONFIRMED. THE NOISE SUDDENLY STOPPED AFTER 30 MINUTES OF DRIVING. ONCE IT STOPPED WE PULLED OVER AND POPPED THE HOOD AND SMELLED WHAT SEEMED TO BE BRAKE FLUID. CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS IN THE CAR AND THEY WERE FINE.
TAMARA RECALL: I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT & A DEER RAN IN FRONT OF MY CAR & THE FRONT BUMPER & RT HEADLIGHT HAD TO BE REPLACED ON MY 2013 NISSAN, VERSA. MY INSURANCE PD IT. I AM NOT CERTAIN IF THE AIRBAGS SHOULD HAVE DEPLOYED BUT THEY DID NOT DEPLOY EVEN WITH MY PUTTING MY FOOT ON THE BRAKES HARD & STILL HITTING THE DEER, I THOUGHT IT STRANGE THAT THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WITH THE SUDDEN BRAKES & HITTING THE SIDE OF THE DEER. WAS THE AIRBAGS SUPPOSED TO DEPLOY IN THAT SITUATION? I DON'T KNOW. IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE AIRBAGS? UNKNOWN NOT DEPLOY. IS THIS NORMAL? I DON'T KNOW?
THE TRANSMISSION INDICATOR ON THE DISPLAY GOES OUT FREQUENTLY WHILE IN MOTION. WHEN THE DISPLAY IS OUT, THE CVT TRANSMISSION SHUDDERS, SLIPS, AND/OR 'DOWNSHIFTS' HARD. THERE IS ALSO A LACK OF POWER WHEN ACCELERATING WHICH BECOMES A PROBLEM WHEN ENTERING TRAFFIC. THE INDICATOR WILL GO OUT AND THEN COME BACK ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE.
IT HAS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION IN THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO BUY A NEW TRANSMISSION AND ONLY HAS 85700 MILES
NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCING ISSUES, BEING VERY UNSAFE. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD NORMALLY, THE CAR STARTED REVVING VERY HIGH. AFTER PULLING OVER AND TURNING THE CAR OFF, THEN TURNING IT BACK ON, IT CONTINUED TO REV OVER 3,000 RPM AT ABOUT 10-15 MPH AND NEVER "SHIFT" INTO HIGHER GEAR. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE BEFORE, AND TURNING THE CAR OFF AND ON SOLVED THE ISSUE. IT WAS SERVICED BY THE DEALERSHIP WITH NEW CVT FLUID, BUT NOW THE PROBLEM HAS PERSISTED AND HAS NOT GONE AWAY WITH SHUTTING THE VEHICLE OFF AND ON. IT MOST RECENTLY HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING, LUCKILY THERE WERE NO OTHER CARS NEARBY, AND I HAD TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING LOW SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED HESITATION. ONCE THE VEHICLE REGISTERED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVE ACCELERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO #1 COCHRAN NISSAN OF SOUTH HILLS (3200 W LIBERTY AVE, PITTSBURGH, PA) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED SOFTWARE REPROGRAMMING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED.
SHAKING FEELS LIKE IT WILL COMPLETELY TURN OFF. VEHICLE HAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT A FEELS TIMES ALREADY COMPLETELY TURNING OFF. VEHICLE DOESN'T NOT GO ABOVE 50-60 MPH WITHOUT STRUGGLING. HESITATES TO GO AFTER STOPPING AT A LIGHT OR STOP SIGN. IT'S A ROUGH RIDE RATHER THEN BEING A SMOOTH RIDE IN THE PAST. IN ALL OCCASIONS I'VE HAD MY 2 SMALL CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME. UNFORTUNATELY I DO NOT TRUST THIS CAR. FIRST PROBLEM WAS JULY 28TH 2017 AT 5:15PM.
MUFFLER CLAMP GOT RUSTED OUT AND BROKEN. THIS IS MADE OUT OF STAINLESS STEEL WHICH GOT RUSTED WHERE AS REMAINING MUFFLER IS RUST PROOF.
TAKATA RECALL, HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING DELAYS IN BARKING PROCEDURES, LIKE THE PEDAL IS STUCK AND MY FOOT OR HEEL HAS GOTTEN STUCK EVEN WHEN I HAVE DISTANCE MYSELF ENOUGH CAR DISTANCE FROM A CAR IN FRONT OF ME. HAVE PUT ME IN A SITUATION THAT I HAD TON USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, FEEL PRESSURE ALL THE TIME, WHEN I OUT THE CAR IN REVERS, THERE IS A NOISE IN THE SHIFTING OF GEAR TO REVERSE, THIS HAS CAUSED CLOSE CALLS TO ME BEING IN A SEVERE ACCIDENT, THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION, I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN FEBRUARY 2018, FORTUNATELY I WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT,
WHEN I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY- THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STOPPED RUNNING. THERE WAS NO WARNING. THE CAR CAME TO A SUDDEN STOP. WHEN I RESTARTED THE CAR IT IS VERY SLUGGISH TO RUN. WHEN IT IS IDLING IT APPEARS TO WANT TO STOP RUNNING. WHEN YOU BEGIN TO MOVE FORWARD- IT HAS A HARD TIME GOING. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VEHICLE TO PLANET NISSAN FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS- FOR THIS CONTINUAL PROBLEM- THEY CONTINUALLY WANT TO DENY ANYTHING IS WRONG WITH THE CAR.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE ON RAMP TO THE FREEWAY IN LAS VEGAS, NV I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE MY SPEED SO THAT I COULD GET ON THE FREEWAY AND MY CAR WAS HAVING TROUBLE PICKING UP SPEED, WHEN MY CAR FINALLY JUST DIED. I THEN TRIED TO SWITCH TO PARK SO THAT I COULD RESTART MY CAR AND MOVE OVER MORE TOWARDS THE SHOULDER. IT TOOK ME THREE TRY'S, WHEN IT FINALLY STARTED UP AGAIN. MY CAR HAD A FULL TANK OF GAS, I HAD JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGED EARLIER IN THE DAY AND CHECKED OUT AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS IN DIRE NEED TO BE FIXED, NOTHING WAS BROKEN, AND MY CAR WAS UP TO PAR ON MAINTENANCE. I CALLED NISSAN'S SERVICE PLACE ON SATURDAY AS WELL AFTER THIS HAD HAPPENED AND GOT THE RUN AROUND OF WHAT TO DO.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
WHEN I PRESSED DOWN ON GAS, IT KEPT GETTING FASTER AND FASTER AND FASTER AND RUNNING AWAY WITH ITSELF, I COIULD NOT GET THE GAS /ACCELEARATOR TO SLOW DOWN. I HAD TO HAVE MY FOOT ON BRAKE CONSTANTLY TO PREVERNT CAR FROM RUNNING AWAY WITH ME IN IT. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION WHEN IT HAPPENED.04/

AIR BAG INDICATOR LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THE CAR IS STARTED. I RESET PER MANUAL AND THE AIR BAG INDICATOR CONTINUES TO FLASH.
HOOD LATCH FAILED, HOOD POPPED OPEN WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY ABOUT 45-50 MPH, CAUSING DAMAGE TO BOTH FRONT FENDERS & HOOD BRACKETS
TOLD STRUTS/SHOCKS ARE LEADKING - ONLY 28,000 MILES ON CAR.
I WAS DRVIING MY CAR ON GREENBELT RD, MD, AND NOTICED S STANGE LOW NOISE OR SPUTTERING..OF SOME SSORT. I DECIDED TO STOP THE CAR...HOWEVER CAR DID NTO STOP...I PUT IN PARK, TURNED ENGINE OFF...DID NOT STOP...I UESED EMERGENCY BRAKE...DID NOT STOP...I FELT IT ACCERELATED ON ITS OWN..AND HAD LOSS OF BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS. I SOUNDED THE HORN LOUDLY TO WARN PEOPLE. BUT THE CAR KEPT GOING AND GOING. I AM A SINGLE MOM, AND MY CHILD WAS WITH ME...FOR SAFETY OF LIFE AND PROPERTY... I INTENTIONALLY DROVE INTO A DITCH. I FELT LIKE IT WAS AN UNINTENTIONAL ACCELERATION AND LOSS OF BRAKE EFFECTIVENESS ISSUE. I HAVE CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS TO REPORT IT, AND MY CAR IS NOW AT THE DEALERSHIP . I AM NOT AN EXPERT. THIS NISSAN VEHICLE'S CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED UNDER WARRANTY AND WAS REPLACED. THAT TRANSMISSION FAILED AGAIN IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS AND BECAUSE IT WAS OUTSIDE THE REPLACEMENT TRANSMISSION'S WARRANTY, THE DEALER NOR NISSAN WILL REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. I DON'T WANT TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION FOR A THIRD TIME WITH WHAT APPEARS TO BE A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT THAT WILL LIKELY FAIL AGAIN AND IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE THAT NISSAN WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR.

THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. VARIOUS WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT CALLED MICHAEL JORDAN NISSAN (919-489-3800, 3930 DURHAM-CHAPEL HILL BLVD, DURHAM, NC 27707) AND WAS REFERRED TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS DIVISION OF THE MANUFACTURER. AN INSPECTOR WAS SENT TO INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS NO BRAKE FAILURE. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V507000 (VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 37,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 NISSAN VERSA. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CRUISE CONTROL ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND PARKED OVERNIGHT. UPON ATTEMPTING TO START THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND DEALER DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE AND STATED THAT THE FUEL PUMP FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,000. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE AIR BAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SMELL OF GAS, AFTER THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. ALSO, THE RPM FLUCTUATED BETWEEN 1500 TO 3500 AND THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. UPDATED 10/13/16.*JB
WHILE OPERATING MY VEHICLE ON A HIGHWAY, AT APPROXIMATELY 75MPH, TRAFFIC SLOWED AND I LIGHTLY DEPRESSED MY BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW MY VEHICLE IN RESPONSE AND NO BRAKING WAS DETECTED. I PRESSED THE PEDAL FURTHER TO NO AVAIL. THE BRAKE PEDAL HAD TO BE PRESSED ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR BEFORE THE BRAKES FINALLY ENGAGED. THANKFULLY, I WAS TRAVELING AT A SAFE DISTANCE BEHIND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. NEVERTHELESS, THE EXPERIENCE WAS UNSETTLING. NORMAL BRAKE OPERATION RESUMED FOR A SHORT TIME. WITHIN 25 MILES OF THE LAST OCCURRENCE, I ONCE AGAIN EXPERIENCED THE EXCESSIVE BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL, FOLLOWED BY NORMAL BRAKE OPERATION. I CAUTIOUSLY MADE MY WAY TO A NISSAN DEALERSHIP THE NEXT MORNING. THE CAR WAS INSPECTED, AND THE DEALERSHIP CONFIRMED THE CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM TO BE A LEAK IN THE MASTER CYLINDER. DESPITE THE 115000 MILES ON MY VEHICLE, I FIND IT QUITE TERRIFYING THAT THE FAILURE OF A COMPONENT COULD PUT MY OCCUPANT AND I IN SUCH A PERILOUS SITUATION WITHOUT ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER. I HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURE, AND AM AWAITING FURTHER ASSISTANCE/REMEDY.

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE ON A HIGHWAY GOING 65 MPH , STEPPED ON BRAKE PEDAL AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR- NO BRAKES AT ALL. COASTED TO SLOW DOWN AND TRIED AGAIN AT 55 MPH AND BRAKES WORKED. AM TRYING TO GET AHOLD OF DEALERSHIP.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS RENDERED UNCONSCIOUS FROM THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE CONTACT WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL FOR INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE FRONT AND REAR SEAT PASSENGERS SUSTAINED SEAT BELT BURNS. THE REAR SEAT PASSENGER ALSO SUFFERED A DISPLACED HIP. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V507000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,512. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED.

THE DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG DID NOT DEPLOY, BUT THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 186,000.
RECALL 15V507000 HAS NEVER BEEN DONE ON MY V ERSA. IF IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE IT SHOULD BE FIXED. NISSAN IS BEING ALLOWED TO GET AWAY WITH FAILIGNJ TO FIX SAFETY PROBLEM SON CALLS. I FIND THAT NHTSA IS NOT FINING NISSAN FOR FAILURE TO FIX SAFETY ISSUES IN CAS. THEY LET CAR PROFITEERS GET AWAY WITH THE SAFETY PROBLEM ON CARS UNTIL PEOPLE DIE. THAT IS FAR TOO LONG AND TOO WRONG. I DO NOT THINK CONGRESS MEANT FORNHTSA TO DO NOTHING BUNTIL PEOPLE DIE.
THE DEFROSTER IS NOT WORKING. I BOUGHT THIS CAR 3 YEARS AGO, FIRST IT WAS THE AC THAT WASN'T WORKING NOW THE DEFROSTER IS NOT WORKING AT ALL.

WHILE MY SON WAS DRIVING AND AFTER COMING TO A COMPLETE STOP AT A RED LIGHT (FOUR WAY INTERSECTION) ON A CITY HIGHWAY, THE CAR CUT OFF IN THE CENTER OF THE INTERSECTION. ONCE THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, HE PROCEEDED TO ACCELERATE, THE CAR WENT A FEW FEET AND SHUT OFF.

VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING STRAIGHT ON HIGHWAY WHEN ON COMING VEHICLE DRIFTED INTO OUR LANE. HEAD ON COLLISION ENSUED. REAR PASSENGER SEAT BELT ANCHOR BROKE DURING ACCIDENT RELEASING THE BELTED PASSENGER WHO SUFFERED BLUNT TRAUMA AND WAS KILLED. THE ACCIDENT WAS AT UNDER 45 SPEEDS AND THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER OF THE ONCOMING TOYOTA CAMERY SURVIVED WITH NO LIFE THREATENING CONDITIONS.
I PURCHASED A USED CAR FROM MR. BILL MOTOR CO IN ARLINGTON, TX ON PIONEER PARKWAY. THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OVERHEAT. I CALLED TO INFORM MR. ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE CAR RESUMED OVERHEATING, I CONTACTED MR. BILL MOTORS AGAIN AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND THE VEHICLE OUT FOR REPAIR. THEY SENT IT TO LONGHORN TRANSMISSIONS. AS MY DAUGHTER WAS HEADED TO SCHOOL AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE COMPLETED ON I-20 IN ARLINGTON, TX THE CAR STARTS TO OVERHEAT AND STOPS ON HER, SHE COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR. SHE CALLS LONGHORN AND THEY SEND A TOW TO GET HER. SHE WAS TOLD THEY DID NOT PLACE THE CAP ON THE TRANSMISSION WHEN THEY ADDED FLUID TO IT SO THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. TWO DAYS LATER THE CAR IS HEATING AGAIN. I CONTACT MR. BILL MOTORS AGAIN IN PERSON SO THEY COULD SEE AND WITH A VIDEO OF WHAT THE CAR HAD BEEN DOING, THEY TELL ME THEY WILL WORK ON IT THE NEXT DAY. I COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR FROM THE LOT, THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND I ROLLED INTO THE STREET. TWO SALES MEN HAD TO PUSH THE CAR UNTO THE PROPERTY FROM THE STREET. TWO DAYS GO BY AND I AM TOLD THAT IT IS A TRANSMISSION ISSUE THAT WILL COST ME $1500 AND TAKE A WEEK TO REPAIR FROM SCOTT AND HE STATES THAT MATT ANOTHER MANAGER IS PRESENT WITH HIM. I CALLED TO DISCUSS STATUS UPDATE, MISSING ITEMS FROM THE CAR TO FIND OUT THEY WERE CHARGING ME $235 FOR THE TOW THAT LONGHORN TRANSMISSION BILLED THEM. I EXPLAINED THAT I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS CHARGE, NOR DO I FEEL RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHARGE. THEY DID NOT PUT THE CAP ON THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CHARGE AND THAT YOU DO NOT CHARGE ANYONE WITHOUT DISCUSSING THE AMOUNT WITH THE PERSON. I ASKED FOR THE TOTAL COST OF THE REPAIR AND I STATED I WANTED TO SPEAK TO THE REPAIR PLACE. I WAS GIVEN A NUMBER FOR JEFF.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2015, THE CAR ALREADY HAD CVT ISSUES. IT USED TO JERK AND SOMETIMES I HAD TO TURN IT ON AGAIN BECAUSE THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. I WAS NOT AWARE IT WAS A TRANSMISSION PROBLEM. THE RPM STARTED TO GO UP AND DOWN, IN THE HILLS THE CAR WOULD NOT GET SPEED. IN 2017, THE CAR WAS STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD TO THE POINT THAT I COULD NOT DRIVE ANYMORE, PUTTING MY LIFE IN DANGEROUS. I WENT TO NISSAN AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED, IN JULY 2018 THE RPM STARTED TO GO UP AND DOWN AGAIN. ON DECEMBER 31ST I WENT TO NISSAN AND I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO REPLACE A TRANSMISSION PART, I REPLACED IT. HOWEVER, AS SOON AS I LEFT NISSAN I REALIZED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. I WENT BACK TO NISSAN THEY TOLD ME THAT WATER WAS GOING INSIDE A HOLE IN MY TRUNK AND GOING TO THE LIGHTS AND IT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I WENT TO A TRUSTED BODY SHOP AND A MECHANIC TO GET A SECOND OPINION, BOTH TOLD ME THAT THE LIGHTS DID NOT HAVE TO DO WITH THE MALFUNCTION OF THE CAR., BESIDES THERE WASN'T ANY WATER MARKS INSIDE MY TRUCK. I WENT BACK TO NISSAN AND I WAS TOLD THAT THE LIGHT CONNECTOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, THAT WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I WENT TO MY MECHANIC AGAIN AND ANOTHER REPAIR PLACE, BOTH AFFIRMED THAT LIGHTS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TRANSMISSION, ISSUES RELATED WITH RPM OR THE CAR STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. THERE IS A ENGINE CODE ON WHICH SHOWS THE PART THAT I JUST CHANGED AT NISSAN. NOW I AM CONCERNED WITH MY SAFETY BECAUSE IF I STOP AT AN INTERSECTION THE CAR SOMETIMES WON'T MOVE, PEOPLE START TO HONK AT ME. IN ADDITION IT CAN BE DANGEROUS BECAUSE IN AN INTERSECTION YOU HAVE TO BE ABLE TO MOVE YOUR CAR QUICKLY.

THIS IS CAUSING THE CAR TO BOUNCE AT MODERATE SPEED AND MORE DANGEROUSLY SO ON THE HIGHWAYS. THE VEHICLE WOULD WANDER RIGHT TO LEFT UNCONTROLLABLY. STEERING U-JOINT DEFECTS: THERE IS AN ONGOING NOISE WHILE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AND THE STEERING COLUMN IS SHAKING UP UNNECESSARILY AND EXCESSIVELY.
CVT TRANS INTERNAL FAILURE @60,933 MI. , TRANS MADE A LOUD CLUNKING SOUND BEFOREBECOMING INOPERABLE, REQUIRED A TOW TRUCK TO GET TO DEALER. NOW HAS NEW CVT TRANS @ NO COST BECAUSE CAR WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY VEHICLE DIED ON HWY EXIT RAMP.

HOOD LATCH FAILED WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY AT ABOUT 70 MPH. THE HOOD FLEW UP INTO WINDSHIELD BLOCKING ALL VISION AND DAMAGING THE HOOD, THE ROOF, THE SIDE PANELS NEAR THE HOOD ANCHORS AND CRACKED THE WINDSHIELD.
